Que Pobres tan ricos #164.Aug 21 2014.. Emi makes little signs of progress, reunites with the Menchacas. A-hole is ready to celebrate his win.... but what did he win?? Boy, Aureliano finds a way to teach humility even after death.
Isela warns Mini not to tell anyone about the secret Isela wants to cash when she wants… Mini insults her and gets slapped for it. ISela gets on internet looking for non-profit she can buy. Nothing about greenpeace, hate animals, amnesty international, nah, don’t care about human rights… Isela keeps protesting about the slap… Isela says you earned it for annoying. Poor kids foundations… no I hate them… besides, who would you be able to marry a poor kid with?
Lupe questions A-hole on locking them up… Lupe warns him not to lock them up again. Lupe wants to leave with Emi, but A-hole overrides her… A-hole wants to talk to Emi alone. Lupe leaves irritated.
A-hole coaches Emi against MA, MA only wants to separate us… and your mom is in relationship with MA… Emi questions why did you tell me before not to tell her I knew about her and MA and now you want me to… A-hole says use it in your favor, tell her she can’t leave you for him… surely she will stay with us then…
MA and Saul argue at fruteria office, MA can talk real fast when he is angry… he is mocking A-hole’s tone of voice… has been talking like that since he was a kid per MA, now I hate him even more… MA can’t wait to be able to beat the crap out of A-hole. Saul says hold your impulses… the ‘tipejo’ has a restriction order against you… wait until after the issue of the clause… MA says that’s the problem, each day I doubt more that A-hole will fulfill the promise to get away from Lupe and Emi… otherwise, why the restriction order??
At Fonda Perla is holding a kitchen roll and some kitchen towel as a sash and is practicing her speech by holding some home made tiara… Leo, DA and Rita come and mock her a bit… Perla tells them she is counting on their support… she wants them to buy vote tickets for the contest. (its kind of like raffle tickets). Rita says the day is getting close she will return to the US. DA asks her why so soon? Rita asks DA if he has thought about whether he is going with her or not.

MA reminds them that in a couple days the ‘clause’ will be settled. AS suffers ‘santa Madonna, porca fortuna!’

Lupe comes up with the excuse of looking for some game cap for a game A-hole had bought for Emi that Emi lost. Lupe warns A-hole not to lock them up again. A-hole warns her again not to try to leave, the guards are watching her every move… somehow Lupe manages to turn to leave without him seeing her…
Leo and AS at club… he can’t stay, have to go to the juice office to work. AS tries to convince him to stay… He will try to come back later. He runs into his old friends… how did the trip to NY go?

She comes up with an idea.
Back to Leo and his old friends. These guys talk just like Leo.. with the ‘hiper… mega… suki… mi rey’ etc. Leo seems to be in disbelief that all five of his old friends from NY are back together.

Seems Lupe told Rita to say to the guards she is the home teacher A-hole wanted her to hire… But here comes A-hole… Lupe introduces A-hole to Rita… A-hole seems to recognize Rita… but he can’t remember from where… Rita tries saying she just arrived from US and starts to talk some English… A-hole calls Emi out… and Lupe gets scared.
At juice business, Leo is talking to his old friends about it. DA comes in. DA wants to come back later but Leo introduces him to his old friends. Leo goes right back to talk to his old friends and DA feels so out of it that he walks out unnoticed. Leo lifts his face only when its too late to stop DA.
By some miracle, Emi stays quiet… Rita makes her quick exit faking having just met Emi. A=hole says the teacher seemed a bit effusive… A-hole leaves. Lupe thanks Emi for not having told A-hole about Rita… Emi has a very smart-a$# answer for her.. I did not tell dad because of you, I am just holding on to this card until I can cash it later (basically I am not telling him until I can get something for it). Lupe is not happy, tells him what he is saying is not nice at all. It is like blackmailing. Where did you learn that? My dad taught me.
MA is waiting outside on the ar. Rita scared the heck out of him tapping on the door… Rita tells him A-hole showed up and it was close, but we made it.
In the house, A-hole is asking Emi to go play alone… Emi protests, he used to have friends to play with and now don’t have no one and his dad won’t either. A-hole tells him that he needs to learn that you can’t depend on anyone else to get somewhere, and over others… that way you will have power and will go far.
Saul and MA take the notebook to Top Cop… Saul nags that deciphering the codes could take years. Top Cop gives the notebook back and Saul says maybe only Vilma can make sense out of them. MA suggests they could compare some of the codes with numbers they found in the audit reports. Maybe that will give us a lead.
A-hole tells his lawyer that he could not get Vilma to tell him where the notebook is… The lawyer says you have to get her to tell you. You have to get it before her trial is over. She could use it against him. A-hole is banking that she won’t do that, at least not until she gets sentenced and by then it will be too late. You don’t know the silly things women in love will do for you. When they least expect it, they have hung themselves.
Lupe and Emi talk… he is trying to get her to play with him. Lupe says lately all he cares about is whether the toy is brand name and expensive, and she does not agree with that. Emi tries to turn it on her, why are you not the same with me? Lupe says the one that is not like before is you. You have to understand that people are not toys. That you can’t always get your way with everyone. Right now you want to play but I don’t. She leaves. He is sad playing on his own. Stops right away and gets the wrestling toy characters he brought from home. (good sign)
Chuy is visiting MA at the Editorial office. Chuy wants to know why MA asked him to come. MA says don’t worry, it is something my grandma asked me to take care of. The lawyer told me about it yesterday. Carm, Perla and Tizoc are there too. Carm protests she is not part of the Menchaca family. Chuy counter protests her, she is part of the family. Chuy asks MA that ‘after this, whatever it is, hopefully the darn A-hole will leave us in peace’… In come A-hole, Emi and Lupe. Emi runs to his abuelito (another good sign, he seems to miss them already). Chuy is even happier to see him… hugs. A-hole calls Emi to come to him right away. In come AS, Frida and Leo. AS whines to the blood of Christ that this Editorial office looks more and more like a metro station in rush hour(hora pico)… that is what they say because I never got in it (wanna bet??) everyone is shouting nonsense.. and this gives A-hole a headache..
Vilma’s trial begins… and she is read all the charges to include: fraud agains the corp RP, delictive assoc, abuse of trust, covering up to favor someone, and homicide against Adolfo Giron. Saul comes in. he seems to be signaling to Vilma ‘told you so’.
A-hole asks lawyer Couriel (the one that was with the Board the other day) why are so many people here the day I am ‘named’ prez of Corp RP. Lawyer says it was Mati’s order. She left a document that I will read now.
Back to trial. They say the accused declared guilty… Vilma keeps whispering asking for A-hole, where are u?
Back to corp office… it is the fideicomiso document. Lupe asks Chuy aren’t those the papers that were lost? Chuy says yeah and later Mati found them and told me that we would find out later on.
AS, Leo, Tizoc and Perla are also wondering… are they going to take our ‘canton’ away again?
A-hole is impatient to get to his naming as the only Prez of the RP.
MA asks the lawyer if the fideicomiso is about the Menchaca house value. Lawyer says no, it is just a million dollars in the name of Emi and the Menchaca family… Everyone is surprised…

AS protests… porca miseria!! I always knew Aureliano was nuts but this is too much. Chuy asks her to chill out. Lawyer clarifies that Emi won’t have access to it until he turns 21. And one of the conditions is that he will help the neighborhood and the family. Perla and Tizoc smile. Chuy is still dozed. Lupe asks how come Aureliano left all that money to my son if he never found out I was pregnant? Chuy explains that he had to do with that. When Emi was 3 years old and I found out who his dad was, I found out Aureliano was really ill and I felt it was my duty to not let him leave this world without knowing he had a grandson. They would not let me see him so I left him a letter. (envelope reads to Don Aureliano from the hijo de Sumatra). When he died, I could not see Dona Mati either so I stayed with the wonder whether they had found out. (we see Mati get the letter and take it to the room). Until Mati and I met again.
MA adds ‘surely my grandma gave him the letter and they both talked about what to do about their great grandson.. surely when she was going to do something about it … she fell ill (with quotes sign on fingers).. right, A-hole?... and the Emiliano…she eventually forgot because of how confused she was thanks to the ‘care’ of my cousin here, no?... (A-hole takes over the storytelling) and what was even more convenient was that Don Chuy figured to look for Aureliano precisely when he was on his deathbed… (Chuy gets up angry)
A-hole tries to rush the lawyer to get on to the ‘clause’ subject matter, so that his wife and son don’t have to stick around long. Perla interrupts to try to get them to buy a ticket so she will be crowned queen. Frida smiles.
Isela at home finally bought a foundation, and announces to Mini that she just spent the rest of her money. ‘Me gaste todo!!’ Now she will surely win the competition against the drag Ana Chofis. Mini grabs the tablet and figures out that the ‘foundation’ Isela just bought is a fraud… she just bought nothing and lost every penny she had.. ‘we just landed on the street!!’ Isela asks the most stupid question… ‘are you sure??’
Back to Board room… A-hole asks lawyer if Isela should not be here… MA shouts ‘news break, A-hole!!’ that Isela is no longer a stock owner… guess who bought all her stock?? Myself!! And guess what money I bought them with?? With the RP money!! (wow!! One round for MA!!! Finally!!) AS shouts ‘gracia Dio!!’ The lawyer finally passes the documents to A-hole to sign, now as the principal heir!! (the lawyer is reaching a pen to A-hole but he says ‘thanks, I have mine… shoo!’)
A-hole announces: (MA is smiling and tapping Lupe’s hand as in ‘no worries’… maybe with these new stocks he is the majority owner?? I would not put it past him) Finally! What I always deserved after so many years of effort and sacrifice.. now I am the absolute owner of the corporation… and I will assume the control and administration of the RP fortune…
MA: well… that is still to be seen, I won’t allow you to destroy the legacy of my grandparents.
A: Dear MA… if you all learned to be poor, you can always be it again without much effort.
L: you already know it, RP’s… at my dad’s house you will always be welcome. We are talking from the heart, right Menchacas? (Chuy, Perla and Tizoc agree whole heartedly)

After our children died and we ended up in charge of all our grandchildren, Mati and I, with our hearts broken, questioned what was the true value of building such a great fortune… (A-hole has heard enough and asks the lawyer to send the letter to them by email… MA, Frida and the others protest)
Outside in the hallway Carm and Chuy talk and hope that finally this whole issue will be over and Lupita and Emi will be able to come back home… Carm is worried A-hole will not come up with another A-holeade. Perla is in a hurry to go home to get ready for the festival. Chuy does not want her to move until everyone is out and they learn what happened. Perla sneaks away to sell tickets to the secretaries.

Now that you MA, or you A-hole, have fulfilled the clause… you should know that the best legacy you can leave your child is the lesson of moving forward with your own work, effort and dedication. Chuy is visiting MA at the Editorial office. Chuy wants to know why MA asked him to come. MA says don’t worry, it is something my grandma asked me to take care of. The lawyer told me about it yesterday. Carm, Perla and Tizoc are there too. Carm protests she is not part of the Menchaca family. Chuy counter protests her, she is part of the family. Chuy asks MA that ‘after this, whatever it is, hopefully the darn A-hole will leave us in peace’… In come A-hole, Emi and Lupe. Emi runs to his abuelito (another good sign, he seems to miss them already). Chuy is even happier to see him… hugs. A-hole calls Emi to come to him right away. In come AS, Frida and Leo. AS whines to the blood of Christ that this Editorial office looks more and more like a metro station in rush hour(hora pico)… that is what they say because I never got in it (wanna bet??) everyone is shouting nonsense.. and this gives A-hole a headache..
Vilma’s trial begins… and she is read all the charges to include: fraud agains the corp RP, delictive assoc, abuse of trust, covering up to favor someone, and homicide against Adolfo Giron. Saul comes in. he seems to be signaling to Vilma ‘told you so’.
A-hole asks lawyer Couriel (the one that was with the Board the other day) why are so many people here the day I am ‘named’ prez of Corp RP. Lawyer says it was Mati’s order. She left a document that I will read now.
Back to trial. They say the accused declared guilty… Vilma keeps whispering asking for A-hole, where are u?
Back to corp office… it is the fideicomiso document. Lupe asks Chuy aren’t those the papers that were lost? Chuy says yeah and later Mati found them and told me that we would find out later on.
AS, Leo, Tizoc and Perla are also wondering… are they going to take our ‘canton’ away again?
A-hole is impatient to get to his naming as the only Prez of the RP.
MA asks the lawyer if the fideicomiso is about the Menchaca house value. Lawyer says no, it is just a million dollars in the name of Emi and the Menchaca family… Everyone is surprised…
Back to trial… recess time. Saul walks over to Vilma. He came to tell her she is still in time to avoid a sentence of at least 50 years. As you can see, A-hole will not come. He has a beautiful family now. Saul lies to her that A-hole and Lupe reconciled. If it were only a transaction, would it not be wise to hide this ‘union’ from the public? Saul shows her the family picture A-hole had the press take at his house. Look at A-hole’s smile. You know perfectly he has always been interested in Lupita. You really think he will let her go that easy? Don’t sin of innocence. This is no farse in A-hole’s mind.
AS protests… porca miseria!! I always knew Aureliano was nuts but this is too much. Chuy asks her to chill out. Lawyer clarifies that Emi won’t have access to it until he turns 21. And one of the conditions is that he will help the neighborhood and the family. Perla and Tizoc smile. Chuy is still dozed. Lupe asks how come Aureliano left all that money to my son if he never found out I was pregnant? Chuy explains that he had to do with that. When Emi was 3 years old and I found out who his dad was, I found out Aureliano was really ill and I felt it was my duty to not let him leave this world without knowing he had a grandson. They would not let me see him so I left him a letter. (envelope reads to Don Aureliano from the hijo de Sumatra). When he died, I could not see Dona Mati either so I stayed with the wonder whether they had found out. (we see Mati get the letter and take it to the room). Until Mati and I met again.
MA adds ‘surely my grandma gave him the letter and they both talked about what to do about their great grandson.. surely when she was going to do something about it … she fell ill (with quotes sign on fingers).. right, A-hole?... and the Emiliano…she eventually forgot because of how confused she was thanks to the ‘care’ of my cousin here, no?... (A-hole takes over the storytelling) and what was even more convenient was that Don Chuy figured to look for Aureliano precisely when he was on his deathbed… (Chuy gets up angry)
A-hole tries to rush the lawyer to get on to the ‘clause’ subject matter, so that his wife and son don’t have to stick around long. Perla interrupts to try to get them to buy a ticket so she will be crowned queen. Frida smiles.
Isela at home finally bought a foundation, and announces to Mini that she just spent the rest of her money. ‘Me gaste todo!!’ Now she will surely win the competition against the drag Ana Chofis. Mini grabs the tablet and figures out that the ‘foundation’ Isela just bought is a fraud… she just bought nothing and lost every penny she had.. ‘we just landed on the street!!’ Isela asks the most stupid question… ‘are you sure??’
Back to Board room… A-hole asks lawyer if Isela should not be here… MA shouts ‘news break, A-hole!!’ that Isela is no longer a stock owner… guess who bought all her stock?? Myself!! And guess what money I bought them with?? With the RP money!! (wow!! One round for MA!!! Finally!!) AS shouts ‘gracia Dio!!’ The lawyer finally passes the documents to A-hole to sign, now as the principal heir!! (the lawyer is reaching a pen to A-hole but he says ‘thanks, I have mine… shoo!’)
A-hole announces: (MA is smiling and tapping Lupe’s hand as in ‘no worries’… maybe with these new stocks he is the majority owner?? I would not put it past him) Finally! What I always deserved after so many years of effort and sacrifice.. now I am the absolute owner of the corporation… and I will assume the control and administration of the RP fortune…
MA: well… that is still to be seen, I won’t allow you to destroy the legacy of my grandparents.
A: Dear MA… if you all learned to be poor, you can always be it again without much effort.
L: you already know it, RP’s… at my dad’s house you will always be welcome. We are talking from the heart, right Menchacas? (Chuy, Perla and Tizoc agree whole heartedly)
AS: Porca miseria!!

Law: Mr A-hole RP… now I will proceed to read ANOTHER CLAUSE that was also included in Don Aureliano’s will… and he himself ordered that this one not be opened until the first clause was fulfilled. .. Dear grandsons…
A: Stop, I believe there are folks here who don’t need to be in this reading… (obviously referring to the Menchacas… the Menchacas all get up glad to leave… except Perla, who is miffed at Don Telio for not buying any ticket from her, she even calls him ‘viejo godo’)
We hear and see Don Aureliano himself read his letter.. talking about him and Mati believing that by giving their sons everything they were giving them all their love… and that was their biggest mistake as parents… by giving them everything, our children (MA stands up and stares at the painting of Don Aureliano while he listens on) never learned to give value to the really important things in life, and ended up being the opposite of what we wanted… they weren’t able to guide their own families forward. After our children died and we ended up in charge of all our grandchildren, Mati and I, with our hearts broken, questioned what was the true value of building such a great fortune… (A-hole has heard enough and asks the lawyer to send the letter to them by email… MA, Frida and the others protest)
Outside in the hallway Carm and Chuy talk and hope that finally this whole issue will be over and Lupita and Emi will be able to come back home… Carm is worried A-hole will not come up with another A-holeade. Perla is in a hurry to go home to get ready for the festival. Chuy does not want her to move until everyone is out and they learn what happened. Perla sneaks away to sell tickets to the secretaries.
Back in board room… on with the reading… back to Aureliano’s voice
Now that you MA, or you A-hole, have fulfilled the clause… you should know that the best legacy you can leave your child is the lesson of moving forward with your own work, effort and dedication. So the first thing you should do as the president and owner of the business is to buy the stock of all other active associates and to pay the fair price with the family fortune.
A: too bad, cousin… that means you will have to sell to me the stock you just bought from Isela… who would have known that would be the instructions from my dear grandpa Aureliano?

AS has a stroke- like reaction, saying she is out of breath. She asks MA to get close. MA signals to the lawyer to hold it for a bit. AS tells MA ‘yo moro’ (I am dying!) MA translate for others that she said she is dying.. and that she really means it now. Leo and Frida are just laughing. ‘oy intencione… di loro!’ MA translates that ‘she is going… she says she is going...
Back to trial. Judge asks Vilma if she confirms her declaration of guilty… and reminds her that if she does, she will be given her sentence right away… Vilma thinks for a moment and then says she is not guilty of any of the charges. The true guilty party is A-hole RP… she looks at Saul who is slightly smiling at her.
Previews are flashes of the final ep on Sunday…
I will have to edit this tomorrow. Have to go to sleep to get up for an early morning meeting at church…

From what I understood Alejo has to buy back the stock with corporate money, so he will be paying Miguel Angel for it. Buying the stock was a good move because MA and family will get their money.

Marta, thanks so much for that detailed recap and thanks for posting it so quickly. My cable was messed up so I only saw a few flashes of picture, a few voice transmissions, and some random captions. It was enough to understand that Vilma finally turned and that Alejo wasn't getting what he thought.
What a relief for team MA to gain power over team Ahole. Now they'll see the wisdom of MA setting up the juice biz and salvaging the shares that Isela sold.
If Tizoc and Frida's baby is a girl, they can name it Matilda. Hoping to get my cable fixed by Sunday's conclusion.

I say YAY to Vilma she finally seen the light thanks to Saul. Great job Saul. Two can play Alejo’s games or tricks.
Emiliano is going to have a nice little wakeup call concerning his poppy. He’s still a Manchaca he will come around too! Once he sees his poppy in action and finally finds out the real truth. I say shame the devil and tell him the truth.
Perla is even more of a dingy air head than I thought. She needs to give it up. She is pretty but her dinginess is way too obvious and makes her look more like an air head. She should go with Tomas and make him a good wife. He’s cute, smart and likes her a lot. He would treat her well and I doubt that she would be poor.
Leo needs to stop nose kissing his mommy and man up. I think he will do real good working with his bro in the Juice business. Together they will become good business partners. I think he’s pretty smart. I believe he’s learned a lot living with the Manchaca’s and also getting to know DA.
I’m really glad that DA got to know his mom (Rita) it’s too bad she took this long to re-unite with him. But better late than never.
I saw the previews and looks like Alejo has a gun to MA. And it also looked like there was guns pointed at MA and Alejo. Probably the cops going after Alejo after Vilma named him in court. Way to go girl (Vilma).

I've reached the point where I'll be glad this is finally over. The whole financial thing is odd. The old man essentially giving away the business he spent his whole life building in what looks like teaching his grandkids the lesson he failed to teach his own. In any event MA will turn out all right since he already built one successful business. AS will be miserable although she did syphon off a chunk of money.

YAY! Ahole's anvils are starting to drop! I loved the look on his face when he found out the true state of the lana he will be in charge of, his look was priceless! Also loved the look on Ahole's face when he found out about the other Grandfather Clause and how the Menchaca get a million dollars especially Emi! It's good too that Emi gets it when he is twenty one.
Emi is so buffaloed by Ahole. I couldn't stand it when Ahole called him over after Emi had hugged Don Chuy! I am glad though that Emi pulled those wrestlers out to play with, there is hope for him still. I didn't like that Emi kept Rita's card to blackmail Lupe with.

Good thing Emi gets the money when he turns 21... otherwise if he got it while still being a minor, A-hole could have ended up getting his way and that 1Million could also have been within his reach. waiting until he turns 21 and giving instructions as to how to spend it was a really smart touch by Aureliano...

Given that Ahole is being compelled to purchase and give away the stocks, I think he is more likely to flee the country. That was always his solution when he thought he might get caught. And now he is going to get caught before he has enough time to buy the shares if he wanted to, which of course he doesn't. That avance with a gun to MA's face looked like it was at an airport. So my guess is he gets caught as he is trying to flee the country. Also it looked like a couple guys were putting a body into a car in the dark. Could that be Isela after she tries to blackmail Ahole? "Isela, me das miedo."
So what could happen to the company if Ahole gets caught? His marriage is exposed as a sham? He's in jail? Will the company return to the control of the board with MA acting president?

If they prosecute Alejo for fraud because of he used his fraudulent marriage to gain the presidency, they can also prosecute Lupita as an accomplice. The judge that married them specifically asked her if this was her free will and she replied in the affirmative, though rather reluctantly. Then "of her own free will" she participated in that sham of a family dinner where the only thing the guests saw was a "happy" family unit. A good prosecutor would make her look really guilty, although she isn't.

With only one two-hour episode left, I bet they won't worry about Lupe's complicity. Seems like they have so many criminal (REALLY criminal) acts to explore and punish, I think they'll spend their time on murder and money laundering - at least I hope so!
I wish they had stretched the ending out a little so we could discuss how things roll out. Even so, it's been fun! Thanks so much to all you summarizers and all you commenters. You made it more educational and more fun.

everything Lupita did was under duress / threats from A-hole to take Emiliano away... any jury would see that, even if the dry evidence / facts are against her. I believe either a judge or jury (whichever she would get) would let her go.
i believe the body in the bag is Adolfo... remember A-hole asked her to take care of the body, I believe... this scene we see in the previews might be her retelling what happened with Adolfo at the trial.
the question is... when Aureliano said you have to buy back the stock from others, did that include family members? if so, then he doesn't have to buy it back from MA... and AS would indeed end up in ruin... if it meant the company has to buy it back from all owners, regardless of who it is, then AS/MA keep their money.
Marta, if Alejo buys all the stocks from everyone, he must give them the value of the stocks in money. Therefore, they will have a lot of cash.
Then he must donate 95% of the stocks to charities, keeping 5% that must be shared equally among all the RPs. So MA and family will have the money that they got for selling the stocks to Alejo, plus their portion of the 5% of the rest of the stocks.
Charities may very well not want to keep the stocks, but would sell them for cash. Then MA can rebuy the stocks, he has all that cash from selling them after all, and end up owning most of them, including Alejo's portion. If the charities end up keeping the stocks, MA and family will still have the cash from the original sale to Alejo.
The one who will be out of everything, cash and stocks, will be Alejo.

I don't recall Vilma doing anything with Adolfo's corpse and with the feelings she had for him coupled with her physical limitations, I can't imagine her doing anything to dispose of it. I thought the body was found right where it fell.
I don't doubt that all of Alejo's crimes will be revealed to all... though wouldn't it be fun if Mati wasn't dead at all but was part of an elaborate scam that she and her Dr. cooked up? Though highly unlikely it wouldn't be without TN precedent.

I must admit I have really enjoyed watching this novela. I've had lots of laughs a few tears but always laughing. My sister is the one that turned me on to it. I also wanted to improve my Espanol.

Alejo never said anything to Vilma about doing something with Adolfo's body. He didn't want her to know he did the killing. The body was found by the authorities and that's how they were able to perform the autopsy and ballistic tests. I would assume Adolfo's body was properly disposed.

I cringed at the joy on Emiliano's face when he found out what he was inheriting. I know he will go back to being a good boy soon and the money will help his family, but right now he is such a brat and doesn't need to have any more reasons to feel entitled. I'm glad he won't be getting it right away.
I'm excited for the finale and can't wait to see how all of Ahole's anvils finally drop.

Thanks so much Marta. This was a great penultimate recap of this episode, and I very much look forward to tonight's finale and Alejo's downfall.
I did love seeing the crestfallen look on his face when the second half of the clause was read. I didn't see that coming, but I'm still not sure I like all this game playing Don Aureliano did. Seems like he actually caused a lot of harm pitting his oldest grandsons against each other like this. For one, I think it directly caused Mati' s murder!

Steve- Because Alejo would not have felt he needed to get rid of Mati so that she could stop impeding him from fulfilling the clause. Everything he did against Mati was for that purpose, including the years he had her drugged.
