Hasta El Fin Del Mundo #12 20140902 Twenty Women Compete for a Kiss from a Troll...I Didn't Know that this is a Science Fiction Novela

Chava and his mother are discussing Paco’s bad attitude.  Chava defends Paco and says that he may have reasons for his disposition that they are not aware of.  Chava tells his mother that he wants to settle down and be faithful to one woman.  They are interrupted when he gets a phone call from Ceci.

Sophia lies on the couch with her head in Patricks’s lap (I am going to move past this sentence quickly cuz’ there are so many places that a mind can wander with it).  Patrick rubs her head.  Anyways, Sophia speaks of the red Book of Secrets that is kept in the company safe.  Each year, Maestro transferred all of his recipes to it and burned the previous year’s book.  Patrick says that Ripoll owes the company’s success to that book.  Immediately after Sophia drifts off into a drug induced sleep, Patrick gets down to work by plucking some of her hair out by the root and places it in a baggie.  With this hair, I will soon have evidence that your mother was a tramp, says Patrick to himself.

Around this time, Lucas dashes home.  Grandma hears him come in and wants to know if the police are chasing him.  What did he do this time?  Lucas denies that police are chasing him and says that he’s breathing hard because he’s bummed out.  His girlfriend dumped him.  Grandma performs a ghetto breathalyzer and him makes blow so that she can smell his breath.  He passes and she orders him to find a school tomorrow.  She tells him that when his mother abandoned him with her, grandma prayed to the Virgin Mary to give her strength and wisdom to raise him well.  He tells grandma that they will have dinner together after he takes a shower.

In a bedroom on Snob Hill, Daniela is finally coming to her senses.  She realizes that she has changed since she’s met Lucas.  She’s lied to her family and lied to him about her wealth.  She decides that she has to wash that man out of her hair. She must get rid of everything associated with him.  She wants to return the dress.

Downstairs, Greta and Alexa are enjoying dinner together.  Alexa thinks that her sisters are avoiding her, but Greta explains that Sophia is with Patrick and Daniela is doing homework.  Alexa thinks that she and Sophie are so different.  It’s sometimes hard to believe that they are sisters.  Greta asks why Alexa visited the factory earlier that day.  Alexa says that Armando is a snitch, but doesn’t quite answer the question.  She admits that the visit made her sad.  Greta tells her to stay away from the factory.  Greta doesn’t like that fact that Armando’s personal life intersected with Alexa.  Alexa says that Armando’s wife is crazy and makes her laugh.  Alexa gets a phone call from Madrid and leaves the table.  Greta whispers that she will not abandon Alexa.  She almost lost her once, but she will not lose Alexa again.

Alexa is talking to someone on the phone about “not being able to come up with the money”.  She doesn’t know that Greta has heard the entire conversation.  She lies about the phone call being about a contract.

Over at Cuco’s Bar, Chava and Armando are trying to help Matias sober up from his night in the graveyard, drinking with the Maestro’s corpse.  Matias passes out.  Later, the two “sober” guys decide to walk Matias home by way of walking on some railroad tracks in the middle of the night.  This may not end well.  While Matias reminisces about Maestro, Chava remembers Paco forbidding Chava to speak Maestro’s name his house.  After dropping off Matias, the two “sober” men walk back up the railroad tracks in the dark.  Armando encourages Chava to go after Sophia.  Chava won’t because she is out of his league…finally, the voice of reason.  She could never fall for him, he says.

When Chava returns home, Marisol is sitting on the steps sipping coffee.  She comments that she wishes that she was a guy.  They can be tomcats and come in at all hours of the night and no one says anything.  Chava tells her that he was sobering up Matias.  Marisol tells him that she’s heard that he’s been snuggling with his boss.  Chava denies this.  Marisol wants to know how he dazzles so many women.  Chava tells his sister that a woman has captured his heart.  His sister thinks Ceci is his beloved, but he says that Ceci is just a friend.  He won’t tell her who the woman is.  Marisol hopes that she can find someone who speaks of her that way.

In Chava’s bedroom, he envisions himself and Sophia out on a date.  He is teaching her about what looks like a disgusting drink called Pulque made with aged pine nuts.  They kiss...in his dreams.

It’s the next morning.  Sophia wakes up and apologizes for falling asleep.  Patrick says that he has magic fingers.  Sophia remembers that she has a meeting with a customs agent.  She will call Chava to pick her up and take her to the customs meeting.  She will change clothes at work.

At Ripoll, Marisol runs into an ailing Matias.  She offers to get him some antacids.  He doesn’t want her to get them from Ripoll because it would ruin his reputation.  Marisol buys the pills from Paco’s store.  She sees Lucas walking down the street and deliberately bumps into him.

On Snob Hill, Daniela asks Aurora, the maid, to take a picture of the stolen dress back to the scene of the crime and pay the store for the dress.  Fausto overhears the conversation, and then demands to know what’s going on.  When she refuses to tell, Fausto tells Daniela that she can explain it to him or she can explain it to her mother.  Daniela decides to kinda sorta explain it to him.  Fausto agrees to personally take the money to the store.

Over at Armando’s home, Nandito says that he wants to date Alexa when he grows up.  His father tries to hush him up, but Nando will not be silenced.  He shares his love for Alexa with his mother.  This sends Irma into a rage and she calls Armando a wimp and orders him to quit his job.  Armando gets pissed off and looks almost ready to commit domestic violence.  He dares her to call him a wimp again; she does!  He reminds her that she knew he was a flake when she married him and then got knocked up with his son.  Right?  The wife looks ill….uh oh…looks like Nando is not Armando's son.  Oh well.

At Ripoll, Sophia tells Silvana that she stayed with Patrick last night.  She explains that he didn’t get none, if that’s what Silvana was thinking.  She tells her that Patrick lulled her to sleep with his magic hands while her head was in his lap.  Again, I am going to leave this alone.  Chava is late picking her up.

Chava has dropped Daniela off at school.  He is accosted by a bachelorette party.  The bride has to kiss a stranger.  She jumps in the car and moves in for a smooch.  Chava refuses.  When her shoes touch the dashboard, he yells that the car is not his.  She takes her shoes off so that she can move closer to him.   Sophia calls and wants to know where he is.  He lies and tells her that he was stuck in traffic.  Afterwards the bride steals the kiss.  Ceci tells Chava to drive away because the women are lining up to kiss him.  Whatever.

Chava’s mom tells Irma (Armando’s wife) to get a J...O…B.  They trade insults about Javier and Armando and jealousy.

Renzi updates Patrick about what is going on with the Expose Greta as a Ho project.

Sophia is complaining to Silvana about the fit of her shoes when Chava drives up.  In route to the meeting, Chava notices a stray shoe on the floor and believes that the bride forgot her shoe.  While Sophia is on the phone, Chava throws the shoe out of the window.  When they arrive at the customs office Sophia wants Chava to help her find her shoe.  She took her shoes off because her feet were bothering her and she can’t find the other one.

Cynderella, edited or not edited the recap was excellent. Yes, it was best "to leave it alone". LOL. Thanks.

Can't wait to see what kind of info Greta can ferret out of Alexa about Spain and Alan.

Liked Chava daydreaming about Sofía.

The best was Chava throwing the shoe out the window just to find out later it was Sofía's.

Cynderella, thank you for doing this despite being exhausted. It was witty and great fun. I enjoyed every single word.

"Grandma does a ghetto breathalyzer and him blow so that she can smell his breath" and "Over at Cuco’s Chava and Armando are trying to help Matias sober up from his night out drinking with the Maestro’s corpse in the grave yard" were among my favorites. I thought I detected Armando/Diego trying to stifle a smile. Sometimes it seems as though the actors are having fun filming various scenes and hope it was the case here.

"Alexa says that Armando’s wife is crazy and makes her laugh". Hmmm. Perhaps I missed it, but if Irma said or did anything amusing, it was surely unintentional :) She might do best to keep her distance. Literally.

Nandito is a sweetheart. Children say the darndest things, don't they...all that adoration for Alexa? Stoke that fire kid...

Lucas is a loser. As Daniela is wising up, looks like Marisol is ready and willing to take her place. I see no charisma or charm from Lucas whatsoever, the little grifter.

Hoping for good things for Matias.

Jarifa, I also enjoyed Chava throwing out the shoe. Not sure how he will explain that one.

Really enjoying this. Thank you Cynderella.

Jarifa: part 1

Ana runs into Fanny who tells her to her shock that the wedding is in three weeks.

Nando goes after Ximena who has evidently fled and finds her hysterical in a park begging him not to leave her. She ends up coming back with him and falling asleep in Fanny's room. Fanny fills him in on how Ximena's dad ran away with a 23 year old, her mom is always away for work and she's had like a thousand novios. Fanny thinks that the only reason Ximena is with him is because he was the first guy to say she was in love with him.

Fanny talks to her grandfather Nico about Diego liking Ana and how her dad wants her to find work right now that she has left her university studies but she does not know where or how.

The doctor has Jenny's results. Best course of treatment: total hysterectomy. She realizes she will not be having any children.

Diego wants to know if Ana is still up for going out for a cup of coffee or tea. She says okay but it has to be at the house.

Alicia tells Ana that Sebastián has been meeting with some street dancers. (at least they told him he needed some rhythm and practice in a previous episode) Ana talks to Sebas and tries to dissuade him from hanging around with the street dancers since he really does not know them at all. It is better to be careful. He does not look convinced.

Johnny is still being kept prisoner but does pray for Jennifer. Jennifer is worried he is not answering his cell phone. Jennifer finds an envelope for Johnny and reads it. He is 6 months behind in rent and is being evicted.

Isabela tells Fernando that since he is a widower they can wed in the church! He is not too excited. She insists.

León talks to Fanny and tells her he has a graphic design job he is working on. He then gets a mystery text that "My mother died" narrated by a female voice. León tries to call mystery woman but nobody is answering.

Sorry for the mis post on the wong novela. Jarifa

I love all your digs at PF, they crack me up!

When Ceci told him he was the punishment for the bride, I said "yeah that sounds right".

Cynderella:

This recap is a gem and so funny. Thanks so much.

I too liked that little reverie of Chava's about Sofia, very sweet.

I had to laugh at Pato and Renzi. I can't wait for Pato to get those results.

I too am glad that Dani has woken up about Lucas and Fausto really does know everything.

Miguelita is so sweet, I wish Lucas would straighten out, cause if she finds out what he has really been up to, it will break her heart.

I'm glad that Greta is onto Alexa and lets her know it too. Alan is just using her for her money.

Thanks again Cynderella for this sparkling recap.

About Irma and Armando, they aren't married. Hia last name is Romero and Irma's last name is Fernandez. They are living together for Nando their son.

Thanks Cyn! Another laugh out loud recap.

I found the shoe incident hilarious. How's Chava going to get out of this? :)

Lots of cute moments this episode, including the boys hanging out with drunk Matias, and Nadito wanting Alexa to be his girlfriend. Irma definitely had a shady look on her face when Armando pointed out that she had given him a son...yep, I see some Maury Povich, who's the daddy drama on the horizon.

I'm so glad Dani has come to her senses about Lucas. Now, maybe he'll turn himself around, for his poor grandma's sake.

Can't wait for Pato to get those negative DNA results.

I also laughed when Lupe pointed out that jealousy is the price Irma has to pay for having a hottie husband who looks like a movie star.

Cynderella - Terrific recap. Loved the way you laid it out.

I will note that Patricio had Sofia in a very vulnerable position but left her fully clothed and untouched on the couch. Yay, I can continue with my crush on this evil one!

What a hoot when Chava threw the shoe out the window. I like this silly show.

So Irma's got a secret. And I do believe I've heard no te amo between her and Armando, even before Alexa turned up in their lives.

Ugh, I guess Greta never goes to Ripoll cause she wants no reminders of her husband. Seems like she'd be astute enough to realize a credit card won't fix Alexa's problem.

Cynderella, thanks for your recap. Glad you didn't go there and loved your title.

Thanks for this funny recap, Cynderella!

"Sophia lies on the couch with her head in Patricks’s lap (I am going to move past this sentence quickly cuz’ there are so many places that a mind can wander with it)" I know exactly what you mean which is why in yesterday's recap I made sure to say "her head on a pillow on Pato's lap". Didn't want to go there either ;)

That last scene with the shoe was so funny and perfectly acted. I was yelling at the TV, "just throw it out the window!" And when he did I laughed. But I laughed even harder when it turned out to be Sofia's shoe! I didn't see that coming even though it was hinted at by Sofia and Silvana's conversation in the parking lot. I like how the humor in this TN just seems to happen naturally. It's not the forced slapstick "humor" we usually see. (I'm looking at you PEAM.)

O.k. It's not that I don't like P.F. I don't like this character. I hate when people make comparisons but now I am about to do it. So, the "Chava" of Dulce Amor is not the best looking man that I've ever seen. He would be at the David Zepeda level and he's macho. David Zepeda would not have to work that hard to get a woman...if he brings her a flower and removes his shirt. Also, Dulce's "Chava" is a slut. I find this Chava boring because he acts like a virgin, he would never look at another woman. He doesn't wreak sex like the Dulce Chava. I can't imagine why 20 women would have to kiss him. He's boring.

Cynderella:

Chava's character here is a lot like Raffa's was in Dinero, he is almost played the same way. I think the writers want us to look past his looks and just go with the sweetness. Now Armando did take his shirt off now that was a sight! I think we could all use some more Armando don't you?

Oh, and they took a poll in Mexico about these two leads. The people polled also couldn't see them as leads here, but now they are liking it. It was a surprise.

Thanks Cynderella! I loved all the snark.

My favorite was

"Grandma does a ghetto breathalyzer and him blow so that she can smell his breath"

and of course I also loved

"Ceci tells Chava to drive away because the women are lining up to kiss him. Whatever."

Hmm..it sure does look like Nando might not be Armando's.

I can't wait until the next episode is available on Hulu to see what happens with the shoe.

I'm loving this show.
