Mi Corazón Es Tuyo #44/45???

Thanks to Julia for taking over alternate Wednesdays!

My apologies, gang, but night before last the hubster went into emergency surgery. So I'm still playing catch up after being awake a full 24 hrs and having to racing off to work despite the family situation--and yes, some employers these days are mass-governed by computerized machinery programs that don't account for the human element At. All!!  So, in order to keep one's employment you show up or you are shown the door.....  Thus, a bullet pointer of the show will be posted, but later than any of us would have liked.  --ed.

Jarifa and Anon. 207 --Thanks for the assist!

from Anon. 207:
Johnny eyeing Jennifer's butt

Isabitch being nasty to Ana

Yolanda watching an Ana Brenda novela [Corazon Indomable] and plotting to set up Ana for robbery

Fernando getting mad because he saw Diego kissing Ana

Leon storming out on Tamara & going to his mom's house

Mom almost going oops upside Leon's head while he was cooking breakfast

Leon going to La Costena to apologize to Fernando & turn in his resignation

Tamara pimp slapping Fanny outside of La Costena
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
From Jarifa:
Ana puts Luz to bed and she leaves.
Fernando tells Isabela how frustrated powerless as a father he feels that he cannot do more for Fanny and that she will only understand when she becomes a mother. They start to play kissy face.
Ana and Diego play kissy face at Chicago.
Isabela is expecting a night of passion when Luz shows up asking Fernando if she can sleep with him. He says of course. Isabela is not pleased. Luz wants to sleep on the edge not in the middle(smart kid).
Jennifer and Ana talk. Ana is not sure about Diego because she does not want to use him because she is not over Fernando. Jennifer says she should give Diego a try if she is ever going to get over Fernando. Jennifer tells Ana whaat really happened to Johnny at the hands of Doroteo and his thugs. Diego and Johnny meet and talk. diego finds out Johnny is also indebted to Doroteo.
Fanny is crying herself to sleep thinking about León.
León tells his wife Tamara he is going to stay with his mom.
Fernando cannot sleep in between Isabela and Luz and he is thinking about Ana. He gets up and sees Diego and Ana kissing outside her room. He is not happy when he hears Diego tell Ana that he loves her. He approaches Diego when Ana is in her room and again is jealous. Fernando accuses Diego of taking revenge on him. He says Diego came into his house to seduce his---Diego finishes the sentence with "employee." Fernando wants to know if he found an apartment yet. It will be soon enough.
Fernando checks in with Fanny. He will see her later at the office.
León tells mom he is moving back home and why after she nearly hits him with a bat thinking he is an intruder.
Fernando checks in with Ana re the kids. He then goes to the school to talk with the principal about how he will be more involved in his children's lives.
Ana reports to Isabela's room and asks what she would like.  Isabela tells her she would really like is for her to leave the house forever but since that is not possible she can clear her tray which she throws with the leftovers from her breakfast on the floor so Ana can clean them up. She then tells Ana she is to be her "doncella", her personal maid. When Ana says as long as it does not interfere with her work as a the nanny, Isabela basically tells her being a nanny is nothing. Fernando is now having to do her job anyway. Isabela's reign of terror has begun as she reminds Ana she never told Fernando about the slap or she would be gone. She will change the bed, clean the carpet and help her dress and stop playing the pathetic victim.
León appears at the office and tells Fernando he is quitting. Fanny is not happy to see him there but is also mot happy he is quitting. Tamara is outside with Mau. Fanny sees all three together and tries to hide. Tamara sees her and tells her to stay away from León and slaps her.
Jarifa's Notes Part 2
Ana talks about being the "doncella" with Bruno. He is also upset.
Ana goes back into Isabel's room to change the bed where she is stopped by Isabela who complains that she did not knock before entering. So she makes her go out, knock, and wait for permission to be granted to enter. Isabela does not want one wrinkle in her bed sheets. This is how it will be everyday she will treat her as the poor "gata" (pejorative for servant) that she is. Ana wants to know what else she wants: Isabela has already won the prize; she married Fernando; she killed her already, does she want to kill her again? isabela answers no, she wants to humiliate her, put her down, destroy her. Ana asks why. But then she thinks for a moment and says she knows why: Fernando is in love with her and not Isabela. But that is not her fault.
Nando is back with Ximena.
Ana helps Isabela dress. Yolanda enters with some snarky comments about how Isabela shouldn't put out all of her jewelry in front of "this one" (Ana) because it could change owners. Next Yolanda starts looking dor what is smelling up the room and decides it must be Ana. She tells her to take another bath or change her cheap perfume. Isabela loves the help Yolanda gave her in being miserable to Ana.
The funniest part for me: Yolanda is watching ""Corazón Indomable" in her room and sees the episode where Maricruz is framed by Lucía: Lucía told everyone that Maricruz had stolen a necklace from her when she hadn't. Yolanda loves the idea and decides to frame Ana by hiding Isabela's pearl necklace in her room. If it works in the movies and the telenovelas it has to work in real life, right? (Is what she says)She then goes into Ana's room and finds a good spot to hide the necklace but we never see where.
Diego brings Ana some flowers and the romance continues. Ana suggests Nico propose tomorrow. He is not too sure.
Enrique will be the new vice president taking Isabela's place. Isabela suggests Fanny be Enrique's assistant; Fernando suggests they call her rather a "contributor." Enrique says he and Fanny had a rough introduction. Fernando says Fanny has been going through some difficult times and asks him to be patient . When Fernando leaves, Enrique and Isabela make some weird faces at each other behind his back which makes you wonder what they are up to.
Jardinera I'm so sorry for your situation and am sending good healing vibes your way for your husband's speedy recovery.
The only things I can remember are:
Johnny eyeing Jennifer's butt
Isabitch being nasty to Ana
Yolanda watching an Ana Brenda novela and plotting to set up Ana for robbery
Fernando getting mad because he saw Diego kissing Ana
Leon storming out on Tamara & going to his mom's house
Mom almost going oops upside Leon's head while he was cooking breakfast
Tamara pimp slapping Fanny outside of La Costena
Jardinera: Sending hugs to you and will keep you and your husband in my prayers. God bless.
It is terrible that while your husband's health and healing should be top priority, you are forced to supplant those concerns with the not important at this point work.
Please let us know how he is doing.
Diana
Jardinera - My prayers are with you and your husband. Please know that you are in our thoughts as your husband recovers.
Haven't been able to watch MCET lately, but I did catch Tamara slapping Fanny Jr. and can't believe she just took it.
No apologies Jardinera, and don't worry about posting anything. We can all throw in our two cents on what we saw, think we heard, and you just catch up on rest and take care of the hubster. Sending positive thoughts and prayers!
Sort of felt like filler yesterday and just reinforcing the lazy good-for-nothing that is Isabrat. Some Leon drama, and lot of girl talk with Ana/Jen/Manuela.
I agree, Tamara smacking on Fanny was ridiculous and totally unnecessary. I guess they had to make sure we got the fact she's a "Isabitch" clone. Lord the Fer/Leon parallel just gets better and better doesn't it? Not.Will also work to make Fanny feel some sympathy for Leon? Clever writers.
Love the Ana/Diego dancing, but gees, can she ditch those shoes already, please? You can tell they are a pain to run in, work in and sure didn't help with the smooth moves with Diego.
And Lemon Drop being inspired by the horror that was CI. Previews: Honestly, they try to frame Ana for stealing...c'mon. Fer had better not fall for that.
Jardinera,
You are a trooper to do what you have done for us when you have so many other things on your mind. Please take care. With this group, humane-ness rules. Do what you need to do for your family.
Mati
So sorry Jardinera. This stuff we chat about here is just a silly diversion and puts things quickly in perspective when a real life challenge rears it's head. Hope the best
Fanny recommended as Enrique's executive assistant, Why? Unless she is gonna be pseudo pursued by him or she develops a crush or whatever hijinks he and Isabela have cooked upped will be blamed on her lack of experience.
Tamara smacking Fanny was stupid, she had already told her she didn't know and broke things off.
Ana as a personal maid to Isabela and now trying to frame her with thievery.
So Ana and Diego smooch some more and dance a bit but she told Jenny she can't help loving Fernando so it will not be easy. I see it as a diversion right now, nothing more. Did I understand correct that Diego implied she could move with him to a new apartment?
Weird that drink between Diego and Juan but mostly because of the blatant bullying of Juan right at the table by Doroteo.
Nic, still dilly dallying around about asking Jenny while Juan looks at her with a moon face.
Kinda wished Leon & Fernando could have finished that conversation before Fanny arrived.
No problem Jardinera, we all have personal issues that take precedent over Caray. Good luck to your husband getting better.
We can't forget the most important part. YoMama was watching the worst TN ever made, Corazon Indomable, and got a great idea from it to take Isa's necklace and hide it in Ana's room so that when she accuses her of stealing it, it will look like she did. And I thought I would never have to see that mess ever again, Ugh!
That whole scene with Tamara slapping Fanny was unreal and odd. Fanny did nothing to provoke her and Tamara couldn't wait to slap her. This may very well backfire and help Leon with Fanny. Now Fanny knows what Leon was dealing with, a very unstable person.
Oh, looks like Nando ignored his dads recommendation about Ximena and wants to stay with her. She had a happy face on at school saying she had weathered the most recent storm.
Cathyx, it was coincidental but interesting that the CI clip also featured Salinas' real life spouse, Elizabeth Alvarez.
Jarifa, thank you for filling in so many of the details.
Poor Fanny! As she was running after Leon, I thought she had already softened. That slap was terrible. Run Fanny. But in the opposite direction.
Jarifa
Well. Now we know how witch and antagonistic Tamara is. Blaming and slapping Fanny when Fan is clearly innocent? Is this supposed to make us more sympathetic for Leon? I am still mad about the lying. Mostly I feel sorry for Mau.
Did I hear Enreeky mutter something about using Fanny to get revenge? Poor Fanny. When it rains, it pours.
I hope your husband recovers quickly and you are able to catch up on rest and everything else, Jardinera. I think your robot employer needs some more advanced programming!
Thanks for the summary, Jarifa.
Anon 207 and Jarifa: thanks so much for stepping in to help. Jardinera--I sure hope your husband is feeling better sooon.
That Tamara is an aggressive bully there now is no doubt. I do hope Fanny gets a glimmer of what Leon's situation was like.
I am liking the chemistry between Diego and Ana more each day but keep reminding myself that it can't last. So sad.
J in Oregon
Jardinera, I know exactly how you must feel between the needs of your husband and the demands of your employer. Know that our thoughts are with you and a speedy recovery for your husband.
Jardinera: sorry to hear about your husband. Hope he gets better soon.
Thanks Anon207 and Jardinera for giving us mini-recaps.
Niecie: From what I remember, the ep ended right after Tam slapped Fan. There really wasn't time for a reaction. That should be first thing tonight. Can't imagine Fan taking it.
Does Lemon Tart really think any one in that household would believe Ana stole anything?
I think Nico is having second thoughts about asking Jen. Maybe he thinks she'll refuse him.
Can't wait until Isa starts to get big. She's going to HATE IT!! I'm going to LOVE IT!!! I hope she's one of those pregnant women who really balloon up (though I wouldn't wish that on a pregnant woman in the real world.)
Nanette
Was the CI clip intended as a plug for the novela for possible reruns? I mean really, didn't it bomb in other places like it did here?
I'm not watching LG because it seemed to similar to CI with MP's kinky hair. and they cut DA's gorgeous hair!
Sending good vibes your way Jardinera!
I wonder why Isa recommended Fanny to be Enrique's asst? So she can have another person she hates bossed around? Maybe.
Now that Isa and Fer are married, she wouldn't want anything bad to happen to the company, as it is paying her bills. So what do she and Enrique have up their sleeves? Or is Isa just looking for a way to manipulate Fer at work while she destroys the household staff?
Well, Ana can just go live with Diego if Fernando chooses to believe she stole anything or is not needed to help with the children. We're back to her just asking for a letter of recommendation, a reasonable severance and supervised visitation with the kids. Problem solved
Jardinera, I'm so sorry to hear this. Take care of your husband and we'll do what we always do here.
Be back later with more; I have to go out in a few minutes. Why don't we change Yomama's nick from Lemon Tart to the Sour Grape?
So sorry for what you are going through Jardinera. Hope everything returns to normal very soon. Take good care of hubby.
I don't believe Fer would believe Ana would steal & will not fire her.
Ana should ask him if he wants her to sacrifice time with the kids to be a slave to Isa. After all he is the boss.
I wonder if Enrique & Isa's plan is for him to seduce Fan 2? I do believe part of it is to embezzle & split. I'm thinking Enrique's dark hair might be a disguise. Maybe he is wanted for sth.
Jardinera- Just reading about your hubby. I hope he's already on the mend, and that you are both able to rest easy soon.
How funny that they used a CI clip and are being inspired by the villain's plot there.
Victoria- Although many of us on this blog ripped into CI and continue to (even those of us who recapped it), it was a HUGE HIT in Mexico, here, and abroad.
Well, on De Te Quiero Te Quiero, Rodrigo was embezzling from Caprico and that was his FAMILY's company, so it wouldn't be farfetched that Isabela would embezzle from La Costena.
I'm thinking Enrique may be part of Isanasty's plan to get rid of Fanny. Right now, of the children, Fanny & Sebastian are the biggest thorns in Izzy's side. The twins & Luz play pranks on her but Fanny & Sebastian are very vocal in how they don't like Izzy and why.
She's already got Alicia on her side and Nando is off to the side.
Jardinera, adding my prayers and well wishes for your husband's quick recovery and your resting break...
Thanks Anon and Jardinera for pitching in.
one more thing I remember is before Tamara went to La Costena, she got a mouth-full from Margarita when she went there to find out if Leon had spent the night there or not. And Margarita let her have it (you go Margarita!!), she reminded Tamara that she DISSAPPEARED a year ago with Leon's child... and now was acting like nothing really happened, expecting Margarita to vow for her and Leon to receive her with open arms. The damage she has done to both Mau and Leon is massive and got news for her, Leon is OVER her!! (Tamara was in shock, she is probably still picking her jaw from the floor, she probably expected Margarita to be her no. 1 fan and help her reconcile with Leon... BOOYAH!!!)...
Also we had a conversation of Fernando with Nando... (actually when he was in bed with Luz and Isa, that is what he was remembering, that Ana had told him that Nando also had some problems ...) and seems Nando gave him the debrief about Ximena and her bipolar issue... Fernando told Nando that there was no cure for that, that all they could do is medicate her... and that the situation with Ximena could become a very serious problem for Nando (i guess Fernando is thinking if Ximena starts building a strong dependence on Nando for emotional support, he won't be able to disengage from her easily).
I think Isa wants Fanny in Enrique's employ so she can use him to torment Fan. Of course she would not care that anything that hurts his daughter will hurt Fer also; she thinks his kids are expendable and should be tidily boxed up and dealt with by someone else. She might also find this setup useful for keeping Fanny out of her way at home so she can terrorize the others with fewer challenges.
Isa is bad enough right now. Can you imagine what she and Yellanda will get away with if Diego is forced to move out, Nico moves elsewhere with Jen, and Fer and Fanny are at the office all the time? Nando is neutral right now. I don't think he's any fan of Isa's, but he probably won't actively challenge her if he can be kept busy with school and Ximena. Little Luz is going to have to be the one to save the day. I hope she will see and hear some of Isa's abuse of Ana and report it to Fer.
I think Ana should decline Isa's blackmail and refuse to do any work other than nannying the kids. As to the slap, it's Isa's word against Ana's, and Ana was going to tell Fer about it anyway before they got distracted by Fanny's drama. Besides which, Isa has wrenched her arm and stepped on her hand, and that's only the physical abuse. I don't think Isa has as strong a hand here as Ana is letting her play.
Maybe she should go to Fer and ask for a job at the office and recommend another of her friends to nanny! And she could have the kids visit her at her own house. Wouldn't that piss off Isa!
one more thing,
when Isa told Ana she would be her 'doncella', a little later Bruno catches Ana come out or come into isa's bedroom with a stack of sheets... Ana tells him that Isa wants her to be her 'doncella' and Bruno puts a snuff of protest, saying there is someone else (didn't catch her name, if he said it) that is the maid and that is her job. Bruno was not as willing as Ana to let Isa roll all over her, but Ana said she will try to handle it.
"I don't think Isa has as strong a hand here as Ana is letting her play." totally agree Julia and Ana could nip this right now with a conversation (including disclosure of the slap) with Fernando.
Doubt it will happen and Yomama, I believe, plays the long con, they take the nanny down by destroying her bit by bit.
I think there is embezzlement afoot or perhaps a hostile take over of the company and hope our feisty Fanny gets her sea legs under her quick and not a quick snack for Enrique
I wish Fanny would tell her father how Isa is treating Ana. But maybe she doesn't know the full extent of the treatment.
Fer is so self-absorbed. I wanted to smack him when he accosted Diego and accused him of only romancing Ana out of revenge. I think it's already been established that these two very different brothers have the same taste in women, so why does Fer think it's all about him?
Ana needs to put some polvos pica-pica in Isa's sheets. I hope between all the people in the household, they can cause enough disturbances and interruptions that Isa never gets any cuchi-cuchi with Fer and she goes crazy.
I just hope they didn't die Lisardo's hair to make him more attractive to Fanny. If he puts the move on Fanny, my "vomit" factor will go up.
I'm now wondering why Isa and Yolanda spent so much time and money on fancy schooling when Isa was going to quit the second she snagged herself a rich husband. Maybe she thought by attending a posh school, she could meet a man from a rich family and get married sooner? But it never worked out, so she ended up with more degrees and jobs just as a side effect as she kept trying to position herself to meet rich men?
I find it slightly amusing that every insult Isa slings at Ana is something that is more applicable to Isa herself. Naca, ill-mannered, gold-digger, pathetic, etc. The only thing that has any truth to it is Ana's lack of education, and even that is flimsy since Ana is obviously smart and learns quickly. Without the benefit of all Isa's years of expensive schooling, she has managed to learn quite a lot. She even learned a ton of math and English and whatnot just in the recent months in order to help the kids with their schoolwork. If Ana had the chance to go back to school, I think she could easily surpass any of Isa's qualifications.
Victoria, I already got my "vomit bag" handy
UA: "Sour Grape". I like it!
Tofie
Welcome to the Table!
Hey, where is Carlos?
I can't see how Fer would go along with Enrique romancing his daughter. No matter what his hair color, he wouldn't be loving the age difference. But hey, who know, and if the writers go this route, I'm right there with you Victoria and Tofie. Pepto and barf bags will be stored at the patio tables just in case.
Oh yeah...did love the Margarita unloading on Tamara. This girl is so full of herself. If she has to stick around, I want to know how she manages. No discernible income or did her mother leave her money? Leon isn't rolling in dough, so you would think she'd be out looking for a way to add to the family income if she was hoping to hang around?
She's annoying. Hope she goes away soon. We have enough annoying gnats in this TN.
Daisynjay
Isa can't stand the kids because they take attention away from her.
Luz needs to start channeling our Lupita.
Julia: I thought the same thing about the slap and Ana taking crap from Isa. If Isa complains, just say she misunderstood or insinuate that Isa's lying (don't think it would do to flat out call her a liar). No one there, except Sour Grape and, to some extent, Ali (and she may leave Camp Isa, if she continues to see Isa's unattractive qualities) is on Isa's side.
“This Enrique Basurto is evil. I can smell that from here.” Hermes frowned, which was unusual for him.
“What do you think he's going to do?” Hera stared into the divining pool.
“He will take advantage of Fanny if he can. Never since Narcissus have I known anyone who overvalues himself nearly as much.” Athena never could tolerate this kind of arrogance.
“We can dismiss Yolanda because no one should take her seriously, but this man will be able to do real damage,” said Aphrodite. “There's something between him and Isabela.”
“Do you think they had been lovers?” Even Demeter cringed at the implication.
“Yes. He may not have married her because he had already met her mother.”
The gods all laughed.
“Poor Fernando.”
“Well, Tamara doesn't know this but she actually did Fanny a favor.”
“Athena, what do you mean?”
“Elementary, my dear Aphrodite. When she tells Ana they will stick together more than ever. Isabela won't be able to break Fanny. And Ana is determined to frustrate her efforts at breaking her.”
If the plan is to seduce Fanny, then Enrique wasn't in on it because he was surprised by the suggestion that Fanny be his assistant.
OMG a classic
“Do you think they had been lovers?” Even Demeter cringed at the implication.
“Yes. He may not have married her because he had already met her mother.”
Yeah, I don't think Enrique was in on Isabela's plan but it apparent the two of them have worked a con together before and he knows to go with it.
As to an earlier question about Isabandit's business degrees, that is often the price of entry to wealthy circles.
Without this Isabela wouldn't have been able to move about in such a crowd. Beauty and the right clothes aren't enough; without her education Isabela might conduct herself exactly as Yolanda does.
Urban:
I'm glad to see times are changing in LA and a degree(s) is enough, plus looks, presentation, etc, to gain entrance into the society circle . It use to be one had to have the name (abolengo) before anything else.
If Enrique put the moves on Fanny, I can see her saying UGH HASHTAG # GROSS
Anon207 and others:
This episode has elicited hilarious quips. I've been laughing more than usual which is wonderful for my health. Thanks to all!
Jardinera, hope your husband is recovering and that you got a little rest somewhere along the way.
I had to laugh at the CI scene inspiring Yolanda to set a trap for Ana. Not much else laughable since Ana is so undeserving of the brujas' torture.
Does anyone else think that Isabruja is sadistic enough to hope to drive Ana to suicide?
Isa definitely has an extreme cruel streak when she hates someone. I don't know whether she has the imagination to try to drive Ana to suicide. It's something Sour Grapes is capable of thinking of, but don't know if she's that cruel. Interesting question.
I can't stand Sour Grapes, but I still get the vibe that she's redeemable.
You are doing a great job caring for your husband and those you love. That is the most important and fulfilling job one could take on. It is too bad your employment does not see that you have another job you do not get paid for, but it is a job none-the-less. I hope your husband recovers. I also hope you get the rest you need.
Family name still matters more than anything in the upper class of Mexico.
I don't think the Lascurains are in the sort of old-money ultra-exclusive kind of society in which name and family background is everything. They're rich, but I get the impression their money hasn't been around for centuries, and they don't seem to swan around with the snobs. Nor do I think Isa was necessarily aiming for that snootiest level, although she certainly would have if she'd thought she could achieve it. Lots of money and a respectable enough position was enough for her, I think.
Money is enough for Isabruja
Lascurain is a "real" name in that back during the revolution one Pedro Lascurain was instrumental in the betrayal/ouster of Madera and lent a veneer of legality to the ascension of Huerta, actually serving as President for less than an hour before resigning in Huerta's favor. Pedro amazingly survived the revolutionary era and, per Wikipedia, headed a law school.
Not exactly a glorious name, but I think the selection of the name, while not implying direct descent from the historical Pedro, is meant to suggest a solid, connected, family, not some upstart nouveaux riches.
Nico may have let his hair grow and his eye wander downmarket toward Jenny, but I suspect the Lascurains have been dealing with the complications of maintaining multiple estates and managing live-in "help" for generations.
Adriana Noel here
Don't apologize, Jardinera, health is more important than our silly recaps. And you still came through for us, your efforts are commendable.
Ana really needs to tell Fernando what Isa is doing to her. Or Bruno or Manuela should. What is the point of keeping this hidden??Drama effect?
Not working on me, I just find it annoying.
When Yolanda said that what worked in a tn should work in real life, too, I had the feeling that things will blow up in her face. God willing Ana finds out about this plan and is able to put the necklace back before Isa and Yolanda wreak havoc for her.
So Luz slept with the newlyweds the first night of their arrival. maybe the rest of the kids will follow... anything to keep the bruja away from daddy, huh? :))
