Mi Corazón es Tuyo #43, Wednesday September 17, The Hit Parade.
I guess there are two helpings of recap tonight...and you didn't even have to bellow for the mesero to bring them!
Later, at Chicago, Johnny Don Juanny tells Jennys that he had plenty of time to get over his obsession with Ana while he was locked up and drugged. He starts sliming on her again but she shuts that down fast. But here comes Dana, excited to see him and feel him up. She sees his battered face and fusses.
Inside the café, León goes on and on about how much he loves Fanny, and he couldn’t believe his luck when he met her and she liked him back, and he was so afraid she would reject him, but he LURVES her. BUT? But, well, ya see, ahem...he finally confesses. Married. Kid. They got married four years ago because Tamara was knocked up, they never got along, it was miserable, he told her he wanted a divorce, and then she vanished with Mau. And now she’s back, and he was thrilled to see his son but told Tam again that he wants a divorce. Fanny is FURIOUS that he lied to her. His history wouldn’t have mattered to her if he had just been honest, but lying to someone isn’t love. León says he wants to start over. Fanny says it is OVER. Hashtag as if.

It's past time for Bruno to document Isabruja and Yomama's nastiness and go to Fernando with it. He has been employed there long enough that he should be able to talk to his boss about the havoc that happens behind his back.
We have no glimpse into Isabruja's youth, but it would be interesting to see what sort of childhood makes her think that children can be farmed out and locked away when it's convenient.
Though Isabela nasty, I do love her little stomp and mirror kisses. I wished Ana hadn't slapped her though she deserved a punch.
Wow, that kiss had way more passion than any between she and Fernando. Older bro is toast.
Ana - what the hell was I waiting on
Leon - I only knocked her up, I didn't love her, help me out here, Fernando
Jenny - gross, gag me with a spoon
Nic - if that diamond was a perishable it would be rotten by now
Fernando - you are married Leon
Isabela - just remember I love me and it will be alright
Bruno - choke hold
“Isabela knows nothing of how parents and children should behave with each other,” said Hera. “She is a disgrace to womanhood.”
“With a mother like Yolanda is that any surprise?” asked Demeter. “How much attention did she pay to her except to teach her to be greedy?”
“She will hurt those children. She doesn't want them in their father's life. She's like those stepmothers in the myths written by mortals of three centuries ago,” said Aphrodite.
“Did you see her stomp her feet like a spoiled child when she doesn't get her way?” Hermes laughed. “Even Luz is too mature to do that.”
“Yes. Her tantrums are amusing up to a point,” said Hera. “But her ill treatment of Ana is not.”
Morpheus came running in. he bowed before the others.
“I must speak. I looked into Luz's dreams. She truly fears her stepmother and Yolanda.”
“I know; I saw it, too,” said Hermes. “It was no laughing matter. Mostly because her father is incapable of seeing this.”
“She told her grandfather, but what can he do when he can't even stop Yolanda from bothering him?”
Ana's secret is too vulnerable in this situation. Isabully and Yomama will find out very soon about this and will use it to their advantage. Nothing Nick, Nando, Fanny, or Diego says about it will carry any weight.
We haven't been told this but I have to wonder how much contact Isababy had with her own father that she begrudges this to Fernando's children. I'll bet he rejected her just for being a girl.
So Fer doesn't like lies and it makes him go a little nuts. That doesn't bode well for either Ana or Isa. Isa I could care less about, but ohhh, Ana. Maybe she should think about fessing up. With Nico and Diego both on her side, maybe they could knock some sense into Fer.
"Leon - I only knocked her up, I didn't love her, help me out here, Fernando"
Massive giggles. Of course, Leon isn't out of the picture, but betcha he's out of a job. I do like the fact that he fessed up and it wasn't Tamara leaking the info. One point for him...small teeny point, but I'll give him that.
And yes, that kiss. Wooo! And Ana just seems so comfortable with Diego too. Those pining stares between her and Fer were not as hot. Sorry producers, we have an on-screen chemistry issue here. The second guy isn't supposed to be the one the heroine sizzles with.
I kinda enjoyed the whole Luz nightmare scenes. The Evil Witch indeed--they should have had the mirror talk back. But Lord, that little girl is a treasure.
This Isa hating on the kids like this is just nuts.I too would have liked to know her upbringing. Her planmakes no sense. If it's not boarding school, Fer at this stage isn't going to leave them to the devices of any Nanny, Ana or no, while he gives her undivided attention. Why the heck would you set your sights on a guy with 7 kids if money or status is your goal. Ridiculous.

Regarding, "Isa hears the moaning and hollering from the hallway, and, just like NO ONE would do if it sounds like their mom is getting it on, barges in," OH HECK NO! What were you thinking, Isabruja!
Regarding Ana's attempt to make Lichita's quinceanera dress, I could have saved her from heartache. As the mother of teenage daughters, I learned very quickly never to purchase clothes for them without their consent. Regardless of how 'hip' or 'cool' I considered my taste in clothes, if I purchased something for them without their input, I inevitably had to return it. At least I never put the time and effort into making their clothes like Ana. :(
Put my vote in for Episode 80 +/-!
too many to list favs... but i agree with UA, the 'witching hours' was great.
also 'let's rewind and watch that a few more times'
thanks for the vocab... i missed some of those totally.
tofie, i will second DaisynJay that these two had me giggling...
Ana - what the hell was I waiting on
Leon - I only knocked her up, I didn't love her, help me out here, Fernando
Ecuador, i think YoMama mentioned 'rabadilla' as the spot in her body that was hurting... i would diagnose this as sciatica...
Add me to those curious as to how Isa's family was relating to each other as she was growing up, especially the father figure... she probably is trying to not let Fernando spend much time with his kids(read between the lines, lady, he is A-VOI-DIN-G YOU!!! yeah YOU!!! you might as well declare your love to your mirror, besides using it to love yourself) because by not having her dad's attention, she didn't know just how big a difference it makes...
Again, it makes no sense to pursue a man with seven children no matter how rich he is unless you are prepared to love the children and they to accept you. Hissabitch sees the children as disposable. The sooner Fernando realizes this the better off he should be.
Note that I didn't say "will be" due to the probably length of this series.
Victoria, I predict he will find out in about 10 episodes.
"That house has hella good soundproofing."
"Fanny says it is OVER. Hashtag as if."
"It’s late, but I guess when you work for witches, you have to keep witching hours. She demands a back massage, preferable with the oil and everything." EEEEEwwwww!
"Isa hears the moaning and hollering from the hallway, and, just like NO ONE would do if it sounds like their mom is getting it on, barges in."
UA, not only has Bruno worked there long enough, but for crying out loud, the boss has come to him and used him as a friendly ear about his love life! Clearly the fact that no one is going to Fer is just TN life-- if they went to Fer it would speed up the story! Still, you would think he’d do a better job at protecting his peeps! Unless, as Julia suggested the house is super sound proof-- no, there is NO WAY, anyone living within 5 miles of that house has not heard the lemon drop screaming for "mescero" (sp?)
Tofie: Though Isabela nasty, I do love her little stomp and mirror kisses. I wished Ana hadn't slapped her though she deserved a punch. YES!!!
And Leon - I only knocked her up, I didn't love her, help me out here, Fernando. Again, YES!!!
The thing I don't get (but then I guess I just need a beanie or a hard hat) is that Fer has BEEN to Chicago and fell for one of the dancers. So how are we to believe that he's going to go beserko when he finds out that Ana is a dancer there?
Later,
Rebecca
regarding your comment...
Fer has BEEN to Chicago and fell for one of the dancers. So how are we to believe that he's going to go beserko when he finds out that Ana is a dancer there?
it is like you tolerate someone else's habits and customs as long as they don't affect you... once he finds out Ana belongs to THAT LIFE he has been criticizing he will lose his cool... just like a dad does not mind a daughter being friends with a poor or bi-racial boy but once the relationship gets serious and the boy proposes, the dad has a fit with it... it is different 'thresholds' when it gets THAT close to home... and in Fernando's case, when it IS HOME, about YOU and THE ONE YOU LOVE who lied and is not THE ONE YOU THOUGHT YOU KNEW.
Diego's own interest in Ana might prevent him from telling Fernando all the details he now knows about the circumstances of Ana working there... that not even Nico knows about.
And speaking of liars, isn't he going to be one himself? He certainly seems to be moving forward with putting the moves on Ana. It was she that stopped them from kissing, not proper Fer.
Rebecca
absolutely... and they have sent us reminders in just about every episode of the last week, about how much Fernando 'HATES' lies...
so i am with UA, the sh__ will hit the fan sooner rather than later, about 10 eps sounds right to me too.
It's quite another to actually decide to settle down and marry them.
Isabooboo is the "more appropriate" wife for Fernando and his social class. You can love someone all you want to but if social class & approval is very important to you, you will not marry your inappropriate partner.
For Diego, it's different because he's in a creative field and I don't think he cares about social status and such. Nico figures he's old and he's gonna do what he wants to do and love who he wants to love.
But Fernando is very rigid and structured and Isabonkers is on paper more appropriate to be the wife of the president of La Costena than an exotic dancer from the hood. F
Fernando has to realize he can't have the cake and eat it too... so he made his bed (chose to and married Isa) and now he has to sleep in it (he should not be concerned with what Ana does at nighttime as long as it does not interfere with her job, or what Ana does or doesn't do with Diego or anyone else, it is her private life) ... but love is a two sided edge... so he will hurt others (Ana and the kids) and be hurt(by his own choices and reactions).
What both Leon and Ana are guilty of is lying by omission. Leon is momentarily the more serious offender because he boinked Fanny, but Ana actually has more at stake now. When Fernando learns the truth (which we know will happen at the least convenient time) he will feel 5x the fool because of the five people who already know her secret. Make that 7x when he ultimately finds out that Lola and Ana are the same person.
I can easily see Isabitch and Doroteo becoming accomplices if she finds out under compatible circumstances.
I laughed at Leo the Lyin's "nothing happened between us" line. And loved Fanny's retort: you were married and have a kid! That isn't NOTHING! It's like when a guy has an affair and then insists to his wife "it meant nothing!" Um, it meant you didn't care enough to be faithful. Why do they even use these terrible lines? Do they ever convince anyone?
Nico is dithering so much about the proposal that I'm starting to worry he's going to die before he gets around to it.
I think Ana and Diego have way more heat and a much better relationship than Ana and Fer, too, even aside from the Isa obstacle. Think about it, Ana...would you rather be with someone you're afraid to tell the truth, or someone who knows it all and loves you the way you are?
I like that Ana’s first reaction after she slapped Isa was concern for the baby.
I’m sick of the Lemon Tart (Julia, love it—I’m going to refer to her as that from now on) always yelling and whistling for Bruno.
I have to say I felt a little sorry for Leon after Fer hit him.
Daisy: I think he was pushed to tell Fan because he knew Tamara was going to. No telling how long he would have kept silent otherwise.
Tofie, loved:
Leon - I only knocked her up, I didn't love her, help me out here, Fernando
Isabela - just remember I love me and it will be alright
Diego and Ana do have a lot of chemistry. It’s very difficult when one of the characters from the main couple have more chemistry with a secondary character than the other half of the main couple. That’s what kind of soured me on the movie Sweet Home Alabama. I thought Reese Witherspoon’s character had more chemistry with Ethan Embry, who played her gay cousin, than Josh Lucas (you know me, can’t pass up a chance to reference a movie).
Ana’s going to be blackmailed into being Isa’s maid.
Nanette
-- She would be free of worry about blackmail regarding her other job
-- She could go to the appropriate legal authorities for protection with whatever she actually knows about Doroteo (If it's enough for any serious investigation)
-- She would not have to care about further abuse from Isabruja and the Bruja Mayor.
I wonder whether Diego has the appropriate connexions to put Doroteo under journalistic surveillance for protection and a future expose.
Ana was never part of "that world." She dances in it, but is emotionally and socially apart. She doesn't flirt with the patrons, she doesn't interact with them. She leaves the stage when she's done and goes home alone. She broke up with Johnny ages ago (relative to the number of episodes that have passed).
She needs to get out of there and Diego's attempt at paying her debt probably escalated Doroteo's demands on her.
Fanny knows this too, that's why she was running to tell Fernando about Ana being a dancer so Daddy would fire Ana; Fanny knew Fernando wouldn't go for that.
If Fernando had knocked up "Lola" from Chicago or Manuela or the waitresses I don't think he would've married her.
He married Isabela because he felt obligated but she is (on paper) more appropriate to being the wife of the president of La Costena.
I think that's part of why Fanny Sr. married Fernando instead of Diego. Even though she did love Fernando, he was more "appropriate" than Diego.
Fernando's can dismiss his attraction to Lola as lust and for him she just an object lusted for by him and every other man in the club.
Not sure what will be the bigger issue for Fernando. An actual relationship/hook up between Ana & Diego or the fact she performs in a gentleman's club. Is he more butthurt she chose Diego instead of sleeping with him while married, angry she lied and misrepresented her real self from the beginning, or say he wants to protect his children from an exotic dancer and her slimy pimp? When he does find out Ana is the clubs headliner, Isabela, justifiably as his wife, should demand her head and spring on him Ana hit her as proof her coarse lifestyle.
I'll say again I like Diego, and that kiss was a steamer, but not convinced. (I'll concede it bummed me out, wanting her with Fernando). Nic again spoke to Diego not to pursue her if his intentions not honorable.
I'm new to Caray and wanted to say that for those of us who are reading the blog for novelas that are being rebroadcast, it is a tremendous help when you put the the episode number in the header. This helps so much because, of course, the air dates for the reruns are not the same as the original air dates.
You guys were very consistent with Lo Que La Vida Me Robo and it was such a big help.
I love this blog and reading such thought-provoking comments.
Ana hasn't lied about dancing, she just hasn't disclosed it to Fer.
The biggest lie is Isa, about the baby's papa.
I'm sure the viewers appreciated the limited commercial breaks.
I also don't think that Fernando was thinking at all when he boinked Isabruja. It was an impulse he regretted because of a moment of weakness. She might have seemed appropriate on paper as a future wife, but he knew he didn't love her. What makes this a doubly bad mistake is that she was a colleague and an employee. That is never a smart thing to do and he realized that.
Can't wait to see what Enrique will do when he starts work.
Diego's "girlfriend" (whose name I don't remember) is another fly in the ointment.
We've not heard a peep out of Ana about finding her mother for awhile.
Of course, that puts him away from Ana if he does that. I now believe he needs to be in the mansion to help protect the children from Isabruja.
Could Diego revise his career to become a photojournalist or something else that would keep him home? Maybe. Would that make him happy? Who knows? I think his motive for staying away was more about running away from something rather than running toward something else.
if they can eventually put that resentment/guilt in the past, there is no reason for Diego to want to get away for long periods if he wants to settle down with Ana... but Ana could live elsewhere with Diego and spend daytime at the house to help with the kids (not having to sleep there).
Do I want Ana to end up with Diego? hmmm... if it was not for the kids, I would say ABSOLUTELY!! but i believe the kids NEED Ana and Fernando needs her as much IF NOT MORE than the kids, she stabilizes him on his temper tantrums. (well, with the exception of the bomb that will drop any moment now). Is this fair for Diego?? of course not!!
Isabella and Ino-Doro becoming accomplices... scary... don't go there.
It will be interesting if Enrique(or whatever his name is, EB) falls for Ana's virtues... and then Fernando has but another reason to kick his ass to the curb. Esp if Isa's baby turns out to be his...
Definitely Ana's lists of pros and cons between Fernando and Diego is off balance... but it all depends what is more important to her, and we know she has been putting the kids on top of her priorities since she arrived at the house, pretty much. As difficult as the situation is now with Fernando, though, she could (scratch that, SHOULD) consider the possibility of accepting Diego... especially given the current situation where she sees no hope whatsoever of ever getting together with Fernando. She could protect the kis more as their aunt than as someone who is not allowed anywhere near them (when the bomb explodes)
I am hoping that Leon will slink into the night, never to be seen again.
That was some Ana/Diego kiss (totally agree daisy). I definitely want her with Diego. The children will still have her as their aunt. Hopefully, he will leave Isa and find someone else. Wishful thinking as I'm sure Diego will lose once again as you noted Marta.
Julia, thank you for the excellent vocabulary. It is very much appreciated.
tofie, "Nic - if that diamond was a perishable it would be rotten by now made me laugh".

In several other posts, I had mentioned this screen shot of Ana catching Diego kissing his model girlfriend in the library. Her screen name is Natalia (Margarita Vega) and, as she is listed in the opening credits, I believe she will have a role in at least several, if not more, episodes. So, it might turn out that Diego does disillusion Ana by going back to his “mujeriego” behavior.
Although I think the chemistry between Ana and Diego is so much better than that with Fernando, I agree with others that it is unlikely that Ana will end up with anyone other than the main hero Fernando. Of course as this is a novela, we will have to wait until the last episode to see them together. Therefore, the relationship between Ana and Diego can not last, even though some of us would prefer to see her with Diego.
My question is, they are portraying Fernando in such a “wimp” light and his refusal to see the harm the real Bruja Menor is doing to his 7 kids, how will the producers redeem him?
I read the Latin Post article about WL replacing PM several times. The more I read the article and the posting on TVyNovelas (both in Spanish and English), the more convinced I become that a replacement for Diego (PM) isn’t likely. Maybe they will write Diego off or have Ana break up with him. Both articles state that Juan Osorio has warned PM to be punctual not that he is out of a job and will be replaced.
I had never heard of PM having problems with directors on other sets. He was a main character in FELS which was, what, 200+ episodes. It sounds as if Juan Osorio is a tyrant, putting the adults and children on diets, etc.
Not to mention first-run problems when viewers in other countries would have found out spoilers on the internet. Obviously there was a batallion of Televisa lawyers to rescue the situation.
Since this is Pablo's third series with Jorge Salinas they obviously work well together and it doesn't look like there are issues with other actors. Osorio might just be blowing smoke. I wish they'd stop insulting our intelligence this way.
I agree with Anon @ 1:13
When one is reading the older recaps on the "Delicious" page of Caray, Caray, it really helps to have some kind of numbering system because, as happened with this episode, sometimes the days of the week do not match the date; therefore, it is hard to follow the daily recaps in sequential order.
I don't think it a too wild assumption that Enrique is the baby daddy. How else are we going to get Fer out of this mess.
Love your Ricardo avatar, did you notice mine?
They made such an issue last night of Fern saying he can't stand a liar...and the queasy look on Ana's face. Makes me wonder if they will dredge up some past lie of Fern's to throw that statement back in HIS face. I hate to keep plucking the one note song, but Li'l Fanny being Diego's daughter, and Fern hiding the fact all these years, would be a doozy.

FC's ties were so.... beautiful. But then again, his leather coats in STD were awesome also. FC really knows how to dress.
Urban:
Do you like PM's hair style in this novela? I think you were the one who sent me the pics of him in QBA.
Julia:
Elías character in PQEAM really grew on me. I came to like his character so much that I wished the couples (FC & BS, EE & MC, and AA & KE) could have ended up working together, making for a much better ending.
Hanna
1. Bruno may be Ana's father
2. Fanny may be Diego's daughter
3. YoYo may be Ana's mother, making Ana Isabruja's sister (half sister). On no!!!
??
By the way, what is Bruno's big secret?
But then where would the red paint come from? A magic trick gone awry? Sprucing up the speakeasy? Making posters for a strike against Lemon Tarts and their outrageous demands?
They show in the previews how ticked he is seeing her kiss someone Diego. And you know what...it sort of bothered me he was moving in for the kill in that car. Hello MARRIED!! Made me wonder what his motives are. If she hadn't stopped it, would that have been a small kiss, sorry shouldn't have done that, or some sort of "let's catch these moments because I do really love you" from him. All the while sleeping with the wife and letting her run rampant in the house along with her bad-mannered mother. (sorry, I just don't find her funny). How very Leon of him.
I guess I find that idea of Ana being being "the one I love on the side" kind of demeaning to Ana. There to make him feel better, adore him and take care of his kids with no discernible life of her own seems to be what he wants. Wrong of me to almost hope he does find out about her dancing? make him leave her alone for awhile as the Isa mess plays out. I won't enjoy Ana just living in angst and him manipulating her feelings every day for lord knows how many episodes.
Daisynjay
Bruno's secret? My guess is he's doing some kind of charity work for children, perhaps he got paint on his hands doing finger painting and magic with the children.
Carlos, I haven't heard you speaking up for Tamara. Isn't she just the kind of TN young woman you find so attractive?
YoMama is getting too difficult for me to stand. She annoys me more than Isabela. I was so hoping that Bruno would tell her that he's not a masseur.
Bruno as Ana's father? Maybe.
I think his secret is that he has a gambling problem.
As for Fernando seething at other men near Ana, I think he's just as angry with himself for falling into Isabruja's telerana. She probably knew just enough about him to know she could guilt him into marrying her if he didn't already decide that he had to. He didn't accept her proposal before she was pregnant and only that would have made him marry her.
Julia, I love that comment about the sleazy massage parlour.
I agree that Yomama is very annoying. Until she somehow manages to embarrass Isacrybaby the next time.
Ana should not stop doing what she loves to do. Diego should not give up his travels or career choice. Working an office job is not ideal for every person. In fact, it is a rather unhealthy lifestyle choice and involves a lot of sitting and inactivity. Dancing is great for you mind, body, and spirit, as is traveling around the world and exploring new landscapes and cultures. I hope Ana and Diego never "settle down".
