La Malquerida #37, 10/14/2014
Amigos- I'm running to an early meeting, and I'm not sure if Gloria was able to do a recap last night. If she does, I'll post it here later.
Last night:
-German did NOT get stabbbed! He takes the knife from Norberto, packs up his remaining paintings, clothes, and the car he bought with the money HE made at the Association (paid by Esteban), because Norberto never paid him for any of his work, and leaves with his dignity...to spend the night at the hospital with his brother. WORST DAY EVER!
-Norberto slimes all over Juliana, she rejects him, he says she'll come crawling to him when she needs money, he pays a visit to Julianita.
-Julianita gets roughed up by Danilo when she dares to dream about becoming the next Mrs. Norberto and leaving this life behind. He reminds her that she belongs to him.
-Dan calls Ale to make sure she dumped German and told him the lie about her dad sexually abusing her.
-Ale seems to be ready to fly the coop and leave her good man and new family behind.
-Both Juliana and Perla sign contracts on A2. Nuria lies to Ulises that she sold Juliana another space.
-Juliana and Manual try to convince German to give up his art so that Norbie will accept him back into the family. He won't budge.
-Acacia and Cris return home. Esteban seems determined to distance himself from Acacia. She's all over him seeking his approval for her reconciliation with Uli, and trying to get him to teach her some horse riding tricks/skills. He refuses the lessons saying he'll be too busy. She pouts and touches him too much.
-Cris returns the letter to Luisa. She's heartbroken but seems to accept that Manuel is not for her. She says Arturo is just a friend when both Cris and Acacia point out that he's a great catch and they think he likes her.
-Rosa has agreed to help Art and Luisa with their upcoming event. They're going to cook in Uli's little house. Art is totally going for it with Luisa. Uli approves.
-Norberto brings the full hospital bill to Cris and Este, and wants it all right now, so that Manuel can be released from the hospital today. Este thought the plan was for Norberto to pay and for them to pay him in installments. Norberto knows they don't currently have that liquidity with all the debts they've had to pay recently. Norbie doesn't care. AND he demands that Cris remove her support of German for the art show. Cris refuses. Este demands that Norb apologize to Cris for getting brusque with her in the hospital the other day. Norbie hesitates and makes the mistake of admitting that he actually raised his hands to Cris. Este loses it! He pins Norb against the wall and asks how dare he raise his hands to his wife!

Vivi, thank you so much. I'm always in awe that capture all of the pivotal events in such a smartly written summary so very quickly.

Este did indeed seem to do everything he deemed possible to put Acacia out of his heart and mind. From concentrating solely on Cris when she returned (with Acacia's sullen petulant stare in clear focus), to hiding the wedding picture with he, Cris and Acacia. Yet, as you noted, she keeps touching him! The same lingering touching of hands, the kisses on the cheek as Nuria. PIn fairness, Nuria has more of a deliberate intent.
So many terrible elements of the German/Norberto showdown, the worst was German's hurt, unbelieving look when for a split second, Norberto seemed poised to stab him. Norberto's sweaty countenance and cruel behavior were sickening.
I did like Manuel comforting his brother though, they share a bond and I have no doubt Manuel would help him if he could.
I would not mind if Esteban beat Norberto to a pulp. I'm hoping German saved enough paintings so he can do the exhibition.
And Danilo, threatening Juliania. How awful.

Well, I am anxious to see this episode so that I can see Este grab miserable Norberto. Perhaps Este is trying to regain some of his galan-ness. Someone needs to beat Norbert. I hope that Chris has German's paintings for the show.

And I loved how you said Acacia was touching Este too much. Her pout at not getting riding lessons from him was childish. Yeah, she has her good moments (and she has the hot bod and big eyes) but she’s not a great catch.
In fact, later in the show she had on such a short little dress, and then there are those big eyes, and she ended up looking like a anime character.
I don’t get what Nuria’s up to, selling the same unit to two people. Is she trying to make Ulysses look bad?

Vivi – Muchas gracias. I too am in awe of how you can glide through all the happenings to render us a fine mini-recap. I didn’t realize last night that Norberto was demanding that Esteban pay the hospital bill in full. Cretin.
I enjoyed German socking it back to Norberto and dumping his so-called dad, thought it must be so hurtful to see his father apparently gives not one twit about his well-being.
I can’t believe Ale is really going to shack up with Danilo. Has she not thought about simply running away? I know I would.

Sure hope Cris gets pregnant, so at the least Acacia can see that she is not the center of the universe.

The storyline needs a spy at the ranch so I guess that Rubio cannot be replaced. Well it was a good thought even if it can't work. But where, where will he go?

Gringo...Acacia grew up with German so she might help him. He has always been close to Chris who always tries to help the young people around her. Plus,he has some money from his work with the Association. Maybe he will get a job running Manuel's new business. Or..I could hire him.

I think the fact that Norbie raised a knife to German is not so much anything against German but against Juliana. German is unknowingly showing traits of his real father and Norbie resents that. I'm glad German has Manuel to look to for comfort. They will be brothers no matter what.
I can't believe Nuria managed to still pull off the fraud. Norbie and Danilo will be her worst enemies. With those two she will pay the price.
I was surprised yet not surprised that Esteban refused to teach Acacia how to ride. For now he's going to keep his distance. We'll see how long that lasts.
I think there's a better likelihood of Cris getting pregnant than Ale. The writers will probably keep Ale and German away from each other until the very end.

Gringo- Yeah, both Nuria and Ulises will be in legal trouble AND in DANGER from Dan and Norbie when the crap hits the fan on this deal. I wouldn't want to be either of them. I can only think that Nuria is planning to skip town or blame it all on Uli.
Nuria is persistent and cocky. It was discovered that she had sold both Perla and Juliana the same spot. Then, she did it all over again. Wait..what ????

What's wrong with Acacia. At her age she should know better that it just isn't right to be so touchy/feely especially that he is her stepfather.
I'm afraid for Ale. Do you think she's going to try to do some kind of harm to Danevil? I don't know how or even if she's capable of such a thing. I can't believe she would even think of going back to him.
As for Nuria selling A2 twice, she had such a sly look when she was selling the space that I wouldn't be at all surprised if she is trying to get back at Uli. She's biting off more than she can chew.

I'm not sure if Ale intends to obey Dan's order to come to him, or if she's planning on running away. Either way, she's resigned to leaving the people she loves.
I finally had a chance to watch this episode. I get very nervous when the actor playing Damndan is threatening the actresses with the cane and penknife. It looks too real. That was a real knife he was holding to the actress's face and neck. One accidental slip would have had tragic results.yikes I cannot believe that the actresses are willing to do those scenes..too dangerous.

Every single member of Ugggacia will be be watching Uli's every move, as he tries desparately to prove himself. You know he has messed up and hurt Ms. Pout so many times. Just watch Nuria's antics will cause Uli major grief. The village idiot (Norb) and the town (sociopath), and Esteban (jealous enamorado) could hold Uli accountable. I had wrongly posted that Este had hired Nuria to sabotage the project, but it looks like that is happening without Este's help after all. Vivi, you said what I was thinking that everyone is breaking German's heart and I so feel for him. He is such a sensitive sweet beautiful soul. How dare they!! Not to happy w Ale either.
