Mi Corazon es Tuyo #63 Fernando gets a rude painful awakening, Fanny turns down Reeky AND Leon... but Isa advances Reeky's plans.

Refritos:

Fernando, Manuela, Bruno in Kitchen.. FF>>

YoMama reveals to Isa that Ana is her sister… timberrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Reina tells Leon that Fanny stopped by FF>>

Lo Nuevo:

Fanny gives Nando a debrief of her visit to Ximena… Ximena does love you… but you guys should not be together right now….. but I have told you that I love her!! (Ximena calls Nando, is again depressed… need you now!!)

Isa questions the ‘revelation’… Isa asks Yomama if her dad knew. Nope, she kept the secret. Neither Isa nor Ana are jumping for joy about being siblings. Isa even demands Ana still see and talk to her as ‘Mrs Lascurain’. YoMama asks Isa to be a bit more understanding with Ana… Isa follows the lead and says will be difficult… YoMama says she is tired… Isa comments that now that we realize we are sisters we are rivals in love. Ana does not want to go there right now… Ana asks YoMama to sing the song one more time (really, Ana?? You need that??) once Ana leaves, Isa enjoys the comedy they just pulled. YoMama not so much. ‘you owe me’.

In her room, Ana is totally devastated, calls Jenny, need to see you right now. Jenny is up. Ana leaves to meet her.

Ana arrives at her house… Johnny is there, shows her the picture of that poster girl. Ana admits she is pretty but does not approve her appearance. Jenn comes out, Ana tells her what happened with Ana. Johnny ends up staying there. When Ana tells them about it they both are suspicious… Jennifer seems the smarter one noticing that it was not until Ana hinted Yomama about Ecatepec and the orphanage she was abandoned at and YoMama was like ‘yeah that!’… they ask Ana if YoMama said she had Isa before or after Ana… Ana comments that Isa uses expensive hand cream, maybe that makes her look younger… They suggest Ana get a DNA test on YoMama.

Meanwhile Fernando is apologizing to Isa about the other night sleeping away.He is curious why she is so happy. She gets mushy with the subject of their upcoming baby. He tries but can’t feel or hear anything on her belly. She even wants to start prepping Diego’s old room for the baby.

Bruno continues to work on the toys… at the house… (in his room? In a basement? … ff>>)

Early early morning… Leon wakes up Mau to get ready for school. Leon fixes them ham sandwiches… then he takes Mau to school in the bus before heading to Costena offices. (he had returned the bike, it was the companys)

Ana brings breakfast to YoMama, gives her some nice service and asks her for her hair brush… for a DNA test (explains that she had one deception about having found her mother so want to be sure now).

YoMama slips a mistake mentioning the name of the orphanage wrong (verbo enojado vs encarnado). Ana notices this but then shrugs it off. YoMama lets Ana take the hairbrush from the bathroom after asking if there is a need to do that… then when Ana leaves with the hairbrush she gets alarmed, gets up from the bed and says she has to talk to Isa.

Leon arrives at the offices and goes to see Fanny. Fanny asks him why he has not tried to get back with her… Before Leon can answer Reeky comes in angry and saying ‘because he is an embezzle! Get out of my office!!’ Fanny asks Leon to leave but also asks Reeky to not talk like that to Leon (who heard this). That her dad has always treated everyone that works there with respect. Leon leaves. Fanny then tells Reeky she no longer will work with him. Why? Because she is not comfortable. Reeky then gets weirdo and asks her if she thinks he never noticed her insinuations… Then he grabs her hard and she has to shake him off and walks away… Reeky asks to be friends… Fanny can’t be friends with a man like him… No way no how no is no!!... She leaves and he nags through his teeth ‘stupid! No one rejects me!...’

Fanny asks Betty for her dad. Leon overhears Fanny tell Betty that Fanny no longer wants to work with Reeky. Leon offers to listen to Fanny. She at first says no, but he suggests to go get a coffee, she gives in.

At house, Isa and Bruno are in Diego’s old room. She wants to start by taking all furniture out and disinfecting everything. YoMama comes in anxious, telling Isa she has to talk to her asap. But Isa does not seem to be in the mood to talk about any of YoMama's nagging issues. As Bruno excuses himself outathere, YoMama checks out Bruno’s rear end on his way out and Isa nags at her for being ‘ordinary (corriente)’. Once Bruno is gone, Yomama gets Isa's attention again  (Houston! Tenemos un problemon!)

Ana and Diego bring the brush right to the lab. It will be expensive to do the DNA test, but Diego will loan Ana the money.

Fanny and Leon at coffee shop… she asks him what’s up with ‘Reina’. Leon says no relationship, they are like siblings. Leon turns it around . you no longer want to work with Reeky? Fanny does not believe Leon since Reina acted like he was her property. Fanny is still irritated at Leon… but admits every time she sees him she confirms it… Leon asks what… Leon asks whats up with Reeky. Fanny does not understand why he suspects Reeky. She feels like he does not really love her. If he loved her, he would do everything humanly possible to get her back and would fight for her. Just wanted you to be honest with me and not destroy my life. (she leaves)

Fernando is opening an email that tells him Nando was dropped from a class because of absences. He is not happy. Calls Ana, basically blames her for Nando being absent so much. Ana takes it in stride. (Diego is standing by Ana). Ana offers to talk to Nando, but Fernando says that’s his job.

Meanwhile, Nando has arrived to visit Ximena. Can’t live without you… me either.

Diego shows Ana all their pictures on his laptop… Bingo! Meanwhile Jenny arrives and wants them to go with her to shop for her wedding gown. (Ana finds out about their plan to get Manuela’s help)

Fanny arrives at Fernando’s office. He tells her about Nando’s issue. Fernando says he has never had to step in on their decisions… but one thing is to be in love and another one is to ease off on your responsibilities because of it. She asks him to be easy on him. Fernando can’t stand Nando suffering for love. Fanny asks ‘aren’t you suffering for love as well?’ Yeah. And I am regretting each one of my decisions. But don’t want my son to be with a woman who is taking away his will to live. Fernando changes the subject to her. Just because you are my kid you can’t just step out of work just like that, even less taking the messenger with you. Leon just came back to work and he is taking his liberties already. So what happened that was so terrible that you had to go out? Fanny again repeats it is just that she does not know what she wants. She came to work there to please him, but she feels he still does not understand her. It is horrible not to know what you want to do with your life. Hate sitting behind a desk. Don’t want to be a coward who does not make her own decisions. Help and support me please. He stands up and hugs her. Maybe they should go find a professional career counselor. Fernando says I am here for you.

Again Diego and Ana are looking at the pictures. Isa comes down and sees what they are doing..then remembers what Reeky asked her. She gets an idea.

At the house, Fernando and Fanny have arrived. The rest of the gang: Ana, Diego, Luz, Alicia are about to leave to go wedding gown shopping for Jennifer. As they left, Isa comes down. He is heading to the homework room, heads upstairs. She has her chance to mess with Diego’s laptop. She finds a USB drive in one drawer in Fernando’s desk. Then guesses Diego’s passwords, but she can’t figure out the right one. Until she starts arguing with Fanny Sr’s painting and figures out it is ‘Estefania’.

Isa barely has time to save a kiss photo of Ana and Diego before Bruno comes to let her know they got the furniture out of the baby room. Isa leaves and Manuela comes and almost gives Bruno a stroke. She suggests she prepare a forbidden fruit cocktail for him… we are dating and still ‘nada de nada’.

At the bridal shop, the crew seems to agree that a bunch of dresses are ‘not it’ and finally they all agree on one (but we don’t get to see the chosen one).

At homework room, Fernando congratulates Sebas for good grades… are you getting along with Isa?... no, and even less since… (Sebas stops but the twins are not so quick to swallow their tongue… they hint their dad about Isa not being nice to Sebas… between the twins and Sebas they tell Fernando everything that happened the day Isa yelled at Sebas and told him all the nasty stuff and threw him on the floor). Fernando is totally taken aback (blow by blow… first about the ‘mocoso odioso… insoportable… engendro’ words, then Isa telling him that his mom died and abandoned him, then that Isa threw him on the floor)… I am sure he wishes he was rather on the receiving end of Rocky’s sparing rounds. He is almost imploding, he closes his eyes hard and when he opens them they are red… he and Sebas share a stare that seems to share a lot of pain.

Previews: Fernando bans Isa from touching any of the kids, especially Sebastian… then tells her he soooooooooooo regrets having married her… and then goes to Ana and tells her ‘I married a woman whom my kids despise… and I am not happy either… I can’t take it anymore … I l… you’.

Wow! You find out this woman is your mother and the same day you are willing to listen to advice and are convinced to get a DNA test ... you are smart enough to do it right away ... smarter to take a witness (Diego) with you ... and smartest to WALK it into the lab instead of shoving it into an envelope and giving it to someone to give to someone to take to the lab ... WHAT??? Don't you know the tn DNA rules? Loving it!

Good work, Marta.

Fanny disappointed me in this one; she needs to tell her father about Freaky. She called Freaky out on sexual harassment and Fernando needs to know about that. Here's hoping Beatriz will say something.

Kudos to Jen for pointing out how Yomama and Isabruja have dissed her so long she should be suspicious. Here's hoping there is no chance for them to mess with the DNA test results.

Marta, thank you for your wonderful recap. I am enjoying it this a.m.

Urban, I am with you. I was disappointed that Fanny did not tell her dad about Enrique. That was not a good decision on her part. She did so well standing up for herself with Enrique but now she blames herself and her indecision about what to do with her life (yes, she may be indecisive about a career) for wanting to leave rather than telling Fernando about the precipitating event with Enrique. Too bad, because now Fernando has missed an opportunity to get rid of the man who is secretly trying to destroy him.

Finally Fanny and León got a chance to talk. I liked when she says she feels he does not love her because he hasn't fought for her and gave up too easily. She is right because she deserves more than a lukewarm attempt if he is really interested in getting back with her.

My favorite line of the episode was Yolanda: "Houston, Houston, tenemos un problema."

I was so glad that the twins and Sebastián finally told Fernando about Isabela calling Sebas names and throwing him on the floor. Ana should have told him when it happened.

In watching the whole episode, Fernando's expression as he listened to the twins and Sebastian telling him about what Isabruja did was, to me, one of the most important and impacting scenes of the entire novela.

The crap is about to hit the fan......

Thanks so much Marta. Fun recap!

Color me surprised in a way how this TN often goes against the norm and doesn't allow some cliché plot lines to drag out. Anon, I cracked up at your "Don't you know the TN DNA rules?" Let's hope this raps and comes right on the heels of Fer's discovery of what happened to the kids.

I agree Ana should have told Fer, and the fact he already blames her for Nando (WTH? This is a college kid she's supposed to monitor?) he will probably go off on her for not telling him about Sebas. I have to agree that was wrong not to no matter what Sebas begged, but I won't enjoy a tirade from him to Ana. I know they show the preview that he makes the moves on her AGAIN, but that may not be the total conversation.

Ana is so vulnerable when it comes to love from anyone, and she seems to be in the middle of everyone's conflicts and games as an easy pawn. I didn't even like to see Fer making the moves already as soon as he realizes ( little late dude) that his wife is a bruja. Like the signs weren't there before?? Maybe I like Diego too much, but I won't enjoy it if Fer stays married to Isa, again for the baby, and then tries to have Ana too. Those plots drive me batty. Fix your own life dude and then see if she's still wanting you back.

Yeah Fanny for the slap, but wow, why didn't she tell someone what he did. Leon suspects, so are we going to get a night in shining armor? All the hints about show me you want me back and "fight" for me. Hope she tells Ana as well, anyone. And Eeky, ego much? What a creep.

Love Jenny had the kids, Diego and Ana go with her for her dress. Very cute. And the sage advice on a DNA test...gee, Johny was good for something for once working with Jen to talk to Ana.

Another wonderful recap Marta. I can tell you are truly enjoying this - your enthusiasm and all encompassing details are proof positive.

"YoMama checks out Bruno’s rear end on his way out and Isa nags at her for being ‘ordinary (corriente)’" was one of many favorite lines.

My spirits were buoyed by Johnny and Jen's suspicions and by Ana's actual hand-carrying of the DNA sample (with Deigo in tow). I am sorry though that she told YoMama she was having it done. There is motive and opportunity for a "fix" in the lab. Isa will likely enlist Enrique (no spoiler, just conjecture).

UA, I was also very disappointed Fanny didn't tell Fer about Enrique. After her shutting and putting him down, it seems strange she didn't report it.

Daisy, wouldn't it be nice if Fer took a lesson from Ana and decided to have a test run on Isa? Of course, that would be too much clear thinking and of course, Fer has no reason to suspect he isn't the father. Sigh.

Victoria, ITA that Fer's finding out what Isa did to Seb was "one of the most important and impacting scenes of the entire novela". Well said.

Jarifa, I was a little surprised that Fanny thought/expected Leon would fight herder for her. I thought he was not only trying to give her some time but that he is still coming to grips with his guilt and shame for what he did. I am no fan, and he should feel guilty. But, perhaps he didn't want to pressure her. I am not defending him just noting what he might be feeling.

Looks like it all comes bubbling to the surface. And daisy, I am content to let Fer stew for a while. Ana is making her own life and her purpose in life isn't to be there every time Fer goes though a revelation that his bride is a terrible person.

Marta, thank you!

Diana

“There is a lot of hubris going around these days,” said Zeus. “I wonder where it comes from.”

“Maybe we should read 'The Culture of Narcissism.' Mortals are often good at assessing themselves and their society.”

“Good thought, Athena. Narcissism makes them far less worthy of protection.”

“Are you already preparing lightning bolts?”

“I think so. It never hurts to have some handy in case of need. And Enrique will be the first on my list. I'm sure he's planning something dire for Fanny.”

“Why not do it now?”

“Fernando needs to know first. If I finish him off now there will be no reason for anyone to tell him, including Fanny.”

“But isn't there the danger that he will bankrupt the company?”

“Yes, but Fernando needs to find out what sort of a person he is. That might help him realize who he's really married to.”

Thank you, Marta, for the fast paced recap. It was exactly what I needed to catch up with the show, I'm very behind with my viewing.
I agree with everyone else that Fanny needs to tell Fer about Reeky ASAP.
At least he knows about Isa's ill treatments of the kids.
Smart move from Ana to go have that DNA test. I'm surprised that she hasn't thought about it herself, but I'm even more surprised that the show actually took the logical step and included this in their overall plot.
Hopefully Isa doesn't have the time to interfere and change the test.

Can you imagine all the different scenarios that this novela will go through since it will run until 2/15? I can't wrap my head around the possibilities. I guess each one of the seven children will have to go through a prolonged crisis, while new characters are introduced (Ana's mother for one).

We are about three weeks behind Mexico, so if it ends on 2/15 there it will run to early March here.

I think that one of the themes of this series is what makes a family and what keeps it strong. Thus far it has brought home the point that fathers need to be involved with their children's day to day stuff and that parenthood isn't always about DNA.

And that people should think twice about bringing people into their families who will impact it negatively.

Victoria and Diana, I totally agree that the new 'revelation' for Fernando scene was one of the best scenes in the novela... right up there with his intimate conversation with Fanny in the car.

Jarifa, when did YoMama say that? when she was still in her room or when she went to Isa's room? i want to add that to the recap. Totally missed it! LOL!!

Diana, I am also with you on Leon... it is not that he does not WANT to get back with Fanny, but i agree he is giving her time to assimilate and forgive and giving himself time to come to terms with his screw up. Besides, he has to focus on Mau for now. And get Reina off his back...

I have a feeling we will get the situation in the house that Fer has to stick to being Isa's husband but no longer will Isa be able to abuse the kids, Ana or the help... it will be a 'we are still married and under the same roof but your privilege status has come down a couple notches'. meanwhile he will still have those stare/whisper scenes with Ana... now we might even get that clip in the credits where he grabs Ana in the upstairs halway and plants a quick smooch on her saying 'mi corazon es tuyo'. btw, that mcet logo on the laptops is getting beyond obvious by now... even the water bottles! man!!

Has anyone noticed if they are still showing the clip with Ana catching Diego kissing his old model girlfriend in the library?

They are still showing her in the opening credits.

Victoria, I fear Diego's old lover, not sure if she was an actual girlfriend, will show up pregnant. They were rolling around in the hay the last time we saw her.

Sorry, Marta, I looked back at my notes and they were in no particular order but I did notice I misquoted Yolanda. It was even better yet: "Houston, Houston, tenemos un
problemón."

Jarifa

Thank you for the wonderful recap!

Reeky needs to join Xime in the psych ward because he has become completely unhinged.

Agree with all that Fanny should have said something but I think she may be taking some of the blame for the situation and just wants it to go away. Whereas if she said something it would blow up more.

So glad Jonny and Jen got Ana to get a dna test. Love Anon 1:48 comment about "tn DNA rules"! Isa would have to substitute her dna for Ana's if she is going to pull this off. Could still happen. Also, Diego called Ana's investigator and told her about Yolanda. She should be able to discover that her first child was still born.

Must admit I didn't see coming that Fer would learn the truth abt what happened to Sebs, at least not like it unfolded, out of nowhere. High five to the twins for understanding the importance of letting their father know. If I was Fer I would be booting her and her mother out of the house. The psychological abuse thrown at Sebs was way worse than the shove.

Like your idea Diana. I'm starting to get suspicious about the whole pregnancy. if you believe her doctor visits, she should be showing by now. There's no a hint of a bump and I thought it interesting the writers threw him saying the line of not being able to sense anything? ...something isn't right here.

Marta, I fear Fer will keep Isa around too if he isn't listening to our very smart Diane's suggestion of a test. But how in the world do you tell someone living under the same roof to stay away from your children and no interaction. Lock her up? We wish, but it's not the middle ages. I vote after the weeing they can send her off to live in the hacienda with her mother ALONE. let her perculate out there.

LOVE Zeus today UA. Forget the anvils, I'm all for switching up to lightning bolts for retribution from now on. Get a free light show instead of just a big splat.

Daisynjay

Sorry, meant wedding not weeing. Blame the sinus headache...

Daisynjay

It looks to me that Leon is confronted with the age old conundrum: damned if he will, damned if he won't.
Fanny might not want Leon right now, but she wants him to grovel, make amends and show that he's truly worthy of her.
The poor guy truly is in a lose-lose situation.

Thanks Marta, a lot happening here today.

We still can have the DNA test results tampered with. They can arrive in the mail, Isa gets it and alters it, we can have Ana pick them up but wait until she's home to look, then have Isa get it first and alter it, or we can have Isa or Enrique know someone who works at the lab and for an undisclosed large amount of money have the results tampered with. Oh the possibilities.

Indeed, why didn't Fanny tell Fernando what Enrique did? But Betty has no idea what happened, so she won't be able to tell about it either.

Beanie moment when Isa was able to come up with the computer password.

I'm glad that Fernando confronts Isa about what she did to Sebastian. Can't wait to hear her side.

The moment when YoMama told Isa Houston, we have a problem, was after Ana left with the brush and after Yo checked out Bruno's rear. But there was no followthrough on Isa's part with this plot line, so I'm curious how they will play this out.

Thanks for the extraordinary recaps of the last two episodes, Marta. Well done.

León wasn't entirely straight-forward with Fanny about Reina. I would have thought that he might have least acknowledged that she has feelings for him which are not reciprocated. That they are like brother and sister doesn't quite tell the whole story. Though Reina is certainly no María (LQLVMR), there is at least a superficial similarity.

Though I may have given up on Yolanda being Ana's mom, I'm still not giving up hope for her becoming one of the good guys.

Sadly, I'm afraid that Fanny is not quite done with dealing with Enrique.

Carlos

cathyx, i guess you meant after Ana left with the brush and before Yo checked out Bruno's rear (which happened in Diego's old room new baby room)... so it is when Yomama catches up with Isa and Bruno in Diego's old room? ok thanks, will put it there for now.

Marta, she said it right after Bruno left Yomama and Isa alone in Diego's old room. Yo tells Isa, Houston, tenemos un problemón. Just as Jarifa said.

You provide an excellent recap, Marta. Thank you!

Kudos to Ana for getting a DNA test. Fernan-duh needs to follow her lead.

Way to go, Fanny! Most 19-year-old girls would have difficulty putting a 40-something creep in his place. I agree with you all, though, she should have confided in her father about Enfrique. Perhaps she didn't since Fer was concerned about Nando.

Yomama Bruja doesn't seem pleased about this cruel prank Isabruja wants to play on Ana.

I haven't seen that scene lately where Ana catches Diego in the library with Camera Girl. If she does suddenly show up pregnant, Ana would have a convenient means of 'escape' from her relationship with him, freeing her up for Fernan-duh.

Pregnancy creates and involves so many emotions and bonds between mother and child, having Manuela, a personal friend, serve as surrogate can only cause complications in la familia. I don't see that scenario ending swimmingly.

And I also wonder why the heck Bruno doesn't raid the toy boxes during the day when the kids are at school. Beanie, please!

thanks! recap updated.

now here's the other $64K question... is this revelation going to make things easier or even harder for Sebas in the house as long as Isa is there?

also, has Isa thought about what would happen if their prank on Ana is discovered? She might want or not want to admit it but she is fully aware that Fernando is deeply in love with Ana... so what does Isa think will happen when he finds out the kind of prank she pulled on Ana? does she think he will just shrug it off? This woman certainly has a very short time span on strategy... 'who cares about tomorrow? lets have some fun on Ana's account today!!' Geeeez!!! She will get a taste of what an angry Fernando looks like and acts like tonight for sure, given the previews.

I certainly want to think so.

I am going to guess that unless Yomama can rein in her hellspawn Isabully will make life worse for Sebastian. If this were a drama I'd guess that she would try to kill him.

Smart money says she has not considered the consequences of her latest head game because she doesn't foresee any. Thus far Ana has not ratted her out about anything; the only ones who have ever had the guts to rat her out to Fernando are Luz and the twins. It seems as though everyone else is afraid to.

Fanny and Leon are frustrating. She tells him she never wants to see him again and whines because he won't "fight for her" - What? Didn't you tell him to keep away?

And him - Fanny broke up with him because of his "lies by omission" and he neglects to tell her that Reina is in love with him but he isn't with her and that she is in his house because she babysits Mau. What a dufus! If he had told Fanny, she would (should?) know enough not to believe anything that comes out of Reina's mouth.

How deranged did En-freaky look when Fanny slapped him? That would have sent me straight to HR and file charges!

That would be the thing to do in the US, but could Fanny do that in Mexico?

Undoubtedly being the CEO's daughter would carry some weight with some folks, but not with others who would see this as entitlement. She has no witnesses to this. The only person who could help her at the moment is Beatriz. If Diego sees Isabully coming and going at Enfrique's place, he can also call attention to Isabimbo's lack of credibility.

Thanks for the excellent recap, Marta. I appreciate being able to keep up when I miss an episode.

So pleased Ana asked for a DNA test and isn't going by faith alone.

I'm late to the party but want an awesome job Marta.

Looks like you guys bout covered it all but what baffles me is why Ana is not telling Fernando what she knows. I realize the kids tell her because they trust she won't blab to daddy but who signs her checks? If I were Fernando and Isabela roughed up my son, I'd be angry at Ana for covering it up and Ana knowing about Ricky's play on Fanny will do nothing to protect the girl from that predator. Daddy would. Ana has way too much on her plate and is not around those kids 24/7 to take a bullet for them.

UA, I'm with you, Luz and the twins the only ones that are willing to rat anybody out when harm has been done.

Though I don't think Fanny should take him back (yet) she pretty much shut the dude down so what's with the change. You coulda had me back if you worked for it came out of nowhere. I love Fanny but look sister Leon has a child and that has proven to be his first priority and should be. Fanny can't even figure out what she wants to do in life and has the luxury of trying whatever and she still goes to bed with a full belly.
