Hasta el Fin del Mundo #64 20141113 Move Over Armando, there's New Wingman in Town!
Abarrotes "La Union"
She's Counting his Ripoll Recipe Royalties Before they are Hatched |
Greta tells Paco that she doesn't like seeing hate in his eyes. Paco says that the love turned to hate. They are interrupted by Araceli. Greta introduces herself to Araceli and leaves. Araceli recognizes Greta from the photo that Paco had torn up earlier in the week. She asks Paco about it. Paco says that she's mistaken. Paco is saved by Irma who is there to purchase soup for Nandito. She tells Paco that Armando left her for one of those manstealin' Ripoll tramps. She's begun working for Renzi again in order to support herself and Nandito. Paco tells her that she's a fool. Renzi is responsible for the sudden rash of violence in the neighborhood. Irma tells them that Renzi has upped the offer for her house. Their conversation is interrupted by Lupe, who agrees that Renzi is responsible for the thuggishness activites. She suggests that Irma pay more attention to her husband. Irma leaves in a huff.
Araceli tells Lupe that she's started her divorce proceedings and that Lupe should tell her if Javier shows up at her door again. Paco also wants to be informed if Javier shows up.
Armando's Residence
For the fiftieth time, Armando leaves his job to take care of personal matters. Nandito is having a panic attack in his bedroom. Armando gives him the "be strong" speech and tells him that he can't keep this up every night. Nandito cheers up. While Armando packs his bags, Irma demands to know where he slept last night. He tells Irma that he's staying at the mansion. He's upgrading. She accuses him of sleeping with Alexa. He tells her that for Nandito's sake, she'd better quit making up stories and walks out. She tells us that he will never get rid of her.
Suspects that Octavio may have stolen his oven and his bun too |
While Paco is in the back of the store, he's left Lupe in charge of the front. When Paco returns, he apologizes, but she says the store will also belong to her once they marry. She also hopes that the kids will hook up. Paco doubts it because Chava has the hots for his boss. Lupe doesn't like Sophia because she all work and no play. Also, she turned 30 last month and didn't invite Chava to the partry. Paco's hamster jumps on the wheel. Sophia might be his kid!
Miggie returns to the mansion. Aurora tells her all about Daniela's hunger strike.
Big breath out! Bounce it off! |
Just fell for the Relaxation Technique: Breathe in, breathe out so that I can stare at your bouncing chest trick! |
Enjoys it every time! He can't believe he got away with it again! |
Chava arrives and assists Sophia with preparing her speech. After Sophia gives her speech, during the Q&A session, an attendee asks if the rumor about the stolen recipes is true. Meanwhile, Chava meets the general manager of South American Imports, Raphael Silvetti. Don Silvetti invites Chava and Sophia for drinks. Sophia give him a sample piece of chocolate. He likes it so much that they agree to meet for breakfast to hammer out a deal. Sophia jumps into Chava's arms after Silvetti leaves. Chava wants a kiss for getting her that deal. She tells him that she's confused. Chava says that she's in love with him. She makes Chava promise to respect that she is an engaged woman.
The Newest Wingman |
Where is the rest of her skirt? |
Seriously, where is the rest of her dress? |
Since he can't have a kiss, Chava asks her to go for a walk with him. They visit a church where they pray to the virgin Mary. They then walk around and go on a sky line ride.
Him: Hoping that she will admit her love for him soon. Her: Hoping that he will turn in to Zepeda before she has to kiss him again. |
Patrick thinks Sophia has failed without him since she didn't get the files that she was expecting. He leaves a message at the hotel for her to call him when she returns.
When Chava and Sophia return, she is given the message. She tries to get Chava a room, the hotel is booked. She tells Chava that she wants him at the meeting with her in the morning. Chava will stay in her room as long as he continues to respect her. Chava agrees.
Other News:
Armando and Alexa look for marketing and image ideas. They go to lunch and Armando pounces on Alexa.
A little 50 shades...choking before kissing! |
Get a room, freaks! |
Javier Cruz is still searching for shelter.

Finally part of Greta story came out. When will the Sofía part of her story?
Maybe Javier Cruz can't find shelter but Chava sure does. Should be interesting.

In addition to the wonderful screen shots, my favorite captions and phrases were "She's Counting his Ripoll Recipe Royalties Before they are Hatched"; "Paco's hamster jumps on the wheel" and the most excellent "Him: Hoping that she will admit her love for him soon. Her: Hoping that he will turn in to Zepeda before she has to kiss him again"! :)
I have to give Chava props for his persistence. It appears it is paying off. I can easily believe Chava struck up an instant rapport with Raphael, the actor's easygoing likeability is his strongest suit.
"She tells us that he will never get rid of her". Why do I suspect Irma has invited her own personal anvils to strike? She's lost the war and should concede while she still has a shred of dignity left.
I just can't get behind Paco and Lupe. He is too dour and too much of a downer for her. Where is Commandante Tavares?
Irma and Armando seem destined to be together.
Jarifa, your "Maybe Javier Cruz can't find shelter but Chava sure does" said it all. This should be good.
Thanks Cynderella!

Well, that was a bit anticlimactic; so Paco figured out Sofia might be his daughter. I notice when Lupe was waiting with lips hanging in the air for a goodbye kiss, he was completely MIA thinking about Greta and Sofia. Tsk tsk tsk. He doesn't have a clue what's going on in his own feelings; typical. He's going to hurt Lupe. :-(
I don't know; Javier is still hanging around, not dead yet. Could they impossibly be thinking of rehabbing him for Lupe? I kind of doubt it, with the handsome copper having such an instant crush on her. But...there Javier is; not dead yet. I think they want to fix it up between Marisol and Javier, too.
Glad to see Alexa is making a contribution, working on the family business. I hope she gets involved enough that she can help keep it from going under. But it might be that it needs to go under, since basing a business on the theft of something is a pretty big transgression. Then they would start over and do it right.
If Ripoll has a fatal flaw as a company that needs correcting, then in a way that would make Patricio make sense. He serves as Shiva, the destroyer; and although Shiva is a negative force, destruction is just as necessary as any other force to make way for the new. Gawd knows I need SOMETHING to make Patricio’s unannealed antagonism make sense. Does that make sense…
Salvador was in his element last night, doing what he does best -- being a real help and "salvation" to Sofia. When everybody else is just sucking her dry and giving her hell, he is the angel that comes and actually helps her. Bless his heart; it's why we love him. We all need one.
No wonder she generously offered to share her room to him, he he he. Looking forward to that.
A wave of regret washed over me when I saw Salvador and Sofia kneeling at the altar in the church together; it dawned on me I would never get to see them do that at their wedding. Well, not as they are now. It would have been so sweet. Pedro did a great job last night. He looked so earnest in church, and his sunny self lit up all the scenes they were in.
I'm saving these last couple of weeks of Pedro's episodes in my TiVo. I made need them, not sure. :-)
Chava was really in his element, and I loved seeing how his outgoing, helpful, sunny attitude not only got Sofia through her presentation, but also landed her a MAJOR contract. Now, why would she want to get rid of this guy? DZ bringing the beefcake factor might be titillating to look at, but I'm just not sure if he can bring the same outgoing/optimistic/good guy vibe Pedro brings. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt though.
tofie, I hope David does a good job; I want to enjoy the rest of the show. I'm willing to suspend disbelief, because I like this story a lot. It's the only one I like of the nighttime lineup right now. So, here's hoping.
I feel sorry for her; she works very hard and is very dedicated. Her efforts make sure all the employees, like our beloved Matias, still have jobs. And all this is not her fault; but she's getting all the @#$%.
However, there is a Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Spa in Puerto Vallarta.

"Him: Hoping that she will admit her love for him soon. Her: Hoping that he will turn in to Zepeda before she has to kiss him again."
Other high points: the breathing lesson series and Paco' hamster.
Now that Fausto knows about Paco and now that Paco is learning to count we are finally ready for some progress on either reconciliation or venngance.
"Suspects that Octavio may have stolen his oven and his bun too"
Greta makes me want to puke. Wha, wha, whining about losing the love of her life and he hates meeeeee and at the same time saying she didn't regret marrying Octavio. Of course she didn't regret it, she had money growing up, was accustom to it and made a decision to continue to bathe in luxury. Part of that decision was to enrich herself and her husband by stealing from her romp across the tracks and even the inconvenient pregnancy not enough to prompt the common decency of truth despite the threat, she assumed Paco not a man able to defend himself and one easy to steal from. Octavio's threat wasn't even needed.
Vivi ITA, if Salvador put half as much into his own quest for sponsorship he would be on the race circuit right now. The dude is about the only thing that prohibits total ruin of Ripoll and Sofia and he don't know it.
Jarifa, this story could have been written for Pedro; even down to the reason he's leaving the show, because his career is less important to him than his wife. I thought that was noteworthy.
I'm kind of believing that his wife's jealousy is indeed the reason he's leaving. It was rumored he went to TPTB and asked to have fewer love scenes with Marjorie to keep the wife from leaving him.
I can see how this would upset Marjorie, because that's their stock in trade. And it's true, there is some awkward vibe on screen. But I can't even say how I personally would feel, being the wife of an actor.
I don't like it that my husband works with other women! LOL I don't give him an ultimatum, but I don't take him for granted either. He doesn't kiss them for a living, though.
Yep, Chava was at his best last night charming everybody. He’s certainly got charisma. I’m savoring all Pedro's scenes.
I hope it doesn’t take too long for Silvana to discover that Pato aborted their baby. Can’t stand to see him fawning over her now. I’m wondering if Silvana will be different with Matias after her loss, like actually welcoming his healthy food offerings. If Silvana continues to diss Matias, to hell with her.
Jeri, the fun will start when Paco confronts Greta about Sophia. I want to see that conversation. First you marry the man who stole my recipes, then you allow him to steal my kid.
Tofie Beefcake Salvador (Zepeda) is a good beggar. He can make us believe that he adores Sophia. I've seen him in other novelas.
GoBlueFan: I kept thinking that Sophia was wearing Victoria Secret loungewear. I couldn't take her seriously at a meeting and I live in Southern Cali.
Vivi, About DZ. I think he can play "good ol' boy", but the problem is that he looks to classy. I saw the previews and he classes up the joint. It disturbs me. But I think I'll forget as soon as he takes his shirt off.
CountxAlacran, please don't stop watching. I think that they had to build up the storyline first. Things are just happening slowly. 1. Paco just found out that Sophia could be his. 2. Patrick killed his own baby. 3. The mob is terrorizing the neighborhood. 4. Alexa and the Chauffer are messing around. 5. DZ is about to take off his shirt. It's in his contract, he let me read it.
