Hasta el Fin Del Mundo #73 20141127 Thanks Cap'n Obvious! We Already Know that Greta will never Accept the Poor Boys.

Hospital

Waiting Room
Patrick walks in and catches Chava hugging Sophia.  They begin to argue and create a huge scene in the lobby.  Armando pulls Chava away and Patrick immediately takes Sophia into his arms.  Chava lunges at Patrick, but Armando stops him.  Later, Armando tells Chava that Alexa told Greta of her feelings for Armando.  Chava is envious.

Cafeteria
Sophia confesses to Patrick that there is photographic evidence of her passionately Eskimo kissing Chava.  She tells him that her feelings for Chava are confusing.  She begs Patrick for forgiveness.  Sophia returns to the waiting room and tells Fausto that she told Patrick everything.  Patrick tells her how hurt he is and leaves.

Intensive Care
Greta has been diagnosed with dialated cardiomathapy.  Greta has hot dreams about a time when she made love in the grass with a kind of buff Paco.   She promised to meet him with her luggage the following day so that they could run away together.  She assured him that she would be there.  Then her dreams change to nightmares.  Octavio informs her that the Bandy family is bankrupt, but he will take care of everything.  When she tearfully informs Octavio that she's knocked up, he calls her a prostitute.  On her wedding day, Octavio makes her swear that Paco will never learn that the "baby" is his or how Octavio made his fortune.

During Sophia's visit, Greta asks Sophia to marry Patrick.  If Sophia wants Greta to be fine, she must marry him.  During Alexa's visit, Alexa reiterates that she is in love with Armando.  Alexa can't understand why her mother wouldn't want her in a relationship with a married chauffer with a child.  The girls return home and Fausto remains at the hospital.

During Fausto's visit, Greta asks him to help her with the girls.  She tells him that she regrets meeting Paco.  If she'd never met Paco, she would have been able to fall in love with Octavio.  Fausto is surprised to learn that she never loved Octavio.

Ghettoville

Casa de Paco
While Greta dreams of her past, Paco frantically calls area hospitals.  He finally finds her and he (a complete stranger) is informed of her condition over the phone.   Unbeknownst to Paco, Araceli has been listening from the hallway.  Paco admits to Araceli that he had a love affair with Greta Ripoll back in the day.  He tell her how he demanded that Greta receive him and now she is in the hospital.  Araceli assures him that he is not the reason for Greta's condition.  He tells her that he is over Greta and feels nothing for her.  Araceli's mother made him feel alive again.  Araceli says that he's lying.  She knows that he's still stuck on Greta.

Casa de Cruz
Javier can't find the marriage certificate in Lupe's bedroom.  He believes that the divorce attorney has it.  Chava returns home looking for his mom and sister.  Javier fake coughs and comes out of the room.  He tells Chava that he's feeling better and that he should be leaving in a couple of day. He asks Chava for forgiveness.  Chava says that he will think about it.  He thinks Javier is pretending to be remorseful so that he can stay in the house.

Chava later asks Matias if anyone has ever done anything unforgivable to him.  Matias says yes, but he has a bad memory.  If Chava wants to forgive, he will have to have develop a bad memory as well.

Armando's Hell Home
Armando returns home and tells Irma all about Greta.  Irma jumps on him about Alexa.  He tells Irma that he's moving out; he's got his own crib.  Irma tells Nandito that Armando left them for another woman.  She tells Nandito not to tell Armando about their conversation.  Nandito tells Armando anyway.

Uptown
Casa de Silvana
Patrick leaves the hospital.  On his way to visit Silvana, he hears from Renzi.  Patrick tells Renzi that if Peralta wanted him dead, he'd be dead.  Patrick and Silvana enjoy another intense brainstorming session (sex) where they continue to plot the demise of the Ripoll family and empire.  He will return to the hospital in the morning and visit Greta.

Hospital
The following morning, Patrick returns to the hospital.  Greta asks him to hang in there.  She knows that Sophia is the love of his life.  Patrick returns to the waiting room and tells Sophia to explore her feelings for Chava.

Cynderella, thanks for the great recap. "Passionately Eskimo kissing" was my favorite.

From yesterday my favorite scene was, of course, Alexa having to just add that one more bit of information so that Sofía would not have to bear Greta's wrath all alone: that she Alexa was also in love with Armando. Of course, it was not supposed to be funny but Greta's resultant attack sure was. Renzi had a nice little attack of a different sort himself yesterday. He should run while he can still walk.

Irma has proven herself to be the lowest of the low poisoning Nandito against Armando with her lies.

Alexa again today said "que lo digo yo". Annoying because I'd prefer her to just fly away and not "decir" a thing.

Let us see if Sofía and Alexa will be able to resist Greta's emotional blackmail now that with her heart condition she cannot get upset.

Waiting for Paco to show up & confront Greta.

So Connie: how much do you get per post? Does somebody know how to delete this?

Kirby, Greta is a typical hypocrite: she had sex with a POOR DUDE in Paco.

This is the same nut, who was hostile towards Elvis in Destilando Amor.

Do hope this site does not fall victim to fake posts completely off-topic. Way off. ie., "Connie"?

Thanks for the double recaps of yesterday and Wed, Cyn!

I was hoping Greta's attack was just anxiety, but she really did go and have a heart attack. Sofia will definitely buckle under the pressure and guilt. I don't think Alexa will, but she's the one who needs to slow down, because Armando needs to get his house in order and focus on his son before jumping into a relationship with anyone.

Vivi, Sophia is WEAK. It runs in the family: like mother, like daughter.

If Araceli somehow uncovers the secret of Greta as to why Paco gets angry following 30 years, I could see her confronting Greta with the stolen recipes information: then Greta will ask Patrick to "take care of the problem"....which will be code for killing Araceli.

If that happens, Paco will really go Dirty Harry & get pissed off.

Just saying.

I'm surprised Renzis beatdown has not become public yet. Too bad Patricio isnt in on the action. Be kinda hard to explain to Sofia and Greta how he got the holy beejeesus beat out of them both.

Cynderella, once again, you have made me smile in pure delight. "Greta has hot dreams about a time when she made love in the grass with a kind of buff Paco" and "Alexa can't understand why her mother wouldn't want her in a relationship with a married chauffer with a child" were excellent.

Like Jarifa, I had to stifle a smile at Alexa causing the already boilig pot to spill over with her tidbit about Armando. Patience girl, patience. As you noted Vivi, he has to take care of the house he already has before he begins another.

It was sad to see Nandito so upset thinking his father is with someone else (even though he is, sort of). Not surprised Irma played that card.

Steve, what Araceli lacks in personality, she makes up for in intelligence. I wouldn't be the least surprised if she puts two and two together in terms of Sophia and Paco.

Greta just continues to disappoint, telling Sophia to marry Patricio from her sick bed.

Thanks again Cynderella...

Diana

Yaaa Steve then Greta married the rich dude while he and she both knew she was carrying Pacos child. Typical thinking everyone is as immoral as you. Sorry Greta, your daughters somehow managed to NOT inherit that disgusting gene from you.

Diana, I'm so looking forward to Greta's secrets being EXPOSED for all to see.

Karma will be coming for this buji freak.

Thanks, Cynderella! You are so right; I sure hope they don’t torture us too long with Greta’s emotional blackmail. The only bright spot is Alexa’s refusal to accept it. She may wear her emotions on her sleeve, but at least Alexa is true to them. I hope she doesn’t cave, too.

Buff Paco — LOL! They did a great job casting the two young selves, though; I’ve always been thinking that. Especially Greta. The real young César Évora was killer, though; better looking than this young actor. He had black hair and those penetrating eyes to go with his penetrating voice. Just killer.

I think I mentioned before my favorite role of his was “Marcelo Romero Vargas” in Corazón Salvaje (1993), where he had a romance with the character of Verónica Merchant, whom I always liked, too.

Also Olivia Bucio (“Greta”) was lovely as a young woman; my favorite role of hers is as “Carmelina de Díaz” in “Alondra (1995),” where she married Alondra’s father, played by Eric del Castillo. Their characters had a nice romance.

Another great casting choice in this show was of Eleane Puell (“Mara,” De que te quiero, te quiero) as Silvana’s younger self. She looks just like Mariana Seoane. Here’s a pic of Eleane Puell: http://tinyurl.com/ldbb5va

Did young Paco fail to meet young Greta at the appointed place and time? I forget if I ever knew that. I do remember now that she married Octavio to save her family’s finances. I’m already suspecting that Octavio might have arranged for her family to fail, like Patricio is.

I loved that conversation between Araceli and Paco; they both took it surprisingly well.

Poor Salvador; I hated to see him agree to think about forgiving Javier.

Irma truly is unbalanced, but she is essentially correct about one thing: Armando is in love with another woman. He’s never been in love with Irma; just never had anything better to do. Irma has been skating on thin ice all this time and never stopped to look just how thin. Now she fell in and is going to drown; I hate to see her try to take Nando with her. That hurts; poor kid. She’s putting her responsibilities on his small shoulders.

That was interesting about Javier’s loan with Miguelina being Miguelina’s only interest in him. Can anyone recall if it was Miguelina’s daughter who is the parent of Lucas? Or was it her son? I can’t recall. I tend to think it was her daughter, though; because I have a hunch while Miguelina was hanging around Javier trying to get her loan back, unbeknownst to Miguelina, Javier took out some of the interest on her daughter.

I’ve been interested in Lucas’s parentage, wondering if the supposed demise of his father was a red herring, an excuse used to explain his absence. And now with the renewed emphasis on Miguelina’s association with Javier, I get the idea Javier might be Lucas’s father. That would make Marisol and Salvador his half siblings. Marisol took an instant liking to Lucas, which was seemingly unwarranted and suspicious right off. As we have noted: The Call of the Blood.

Although Lucas is annoying, Lucas remains an important character in the story. Miguel Martínez has 11th billing in the cast list at IMDb, right after María Rojo (Lupe). And I noticed in the new poster for the show, Lucas is featured prominently. He’s not a nobody. Just things to add up.

Cynderella, I am going to listen to that interesting article about sibling attraction in regard to The Call of the Blood with my news this morning. Thanks again.

Thanks, Cynderella. A kind of buff Paco -- too funny.

Greta blames Octavo for Alexa's and Sofia's issues and at the same time chastises her daughters because they're not living up to his standards for them. And she married him to keep her family rich and because he threatened her with a big fat knife. She's so ridiculous, I delight when Pato toys with her.

Nandito is no fool. He knows which parent has the right marbles. I love that he never keeps Irma's secrets.

I was already stuck on Matias but his saying he has a bad memory to deal with the unforgivable, aww!

Funny I don't remember Lucas agreeing to be Marisol's novio. Isn't Marisol carrying herself away?

Niecie, Greta was the one, who gave up her virginity to PACO. Then she married Octavio & threw Paco under the bus.

On Patrick bankrupting Ripoli:does anyone think that he & Octavio were working together in ponzi schemes?

Thank you Cynderella! I loved "passionately Eskimo kissing"! So apparently Mexico has no patient privacy laws if Paco can call and get information on Greta.

Pato's fake tears are killing me. I LOL every time.

Jeri, I agree about the casting. The little kid who played young Chava looks just like Pedro.

Greta didn't meet Paco because her dad had a heart attack that day and Greta and her mother were waiting at the hospital. Octavio apparently told Greta the family was bankrupt right after her father died. I would not be surprised if Octavio was somehow involved in Greta's father's death.

Lucas' father was Miguelina's son. He was very ill and Miguelina was caring for him. After the son died his wife abandoned Lucas. It was during that illness that Javier the Dirtbag hit up Miguelina for a loan.

Unfortunately "Connie" has been infecting recaps for a while. She doesn't usually post until the recap is a bit older, a week or so after the recap was posted. Cynderella can delete Connie's comment because this is her recap. We can only delete comments on our own recaps. If I knew a way to block her I would.

xlnt, thanks for the info! Hmm…I guess that scenario doesn’t actually rule out Javier being Lucas’s father. It could just mean Lucas’s mother fooled around on Miguelina’s son with Javier. Lucas would not be the blood relative of Miguelina in that case.

I guess Lucas’s mother could still show up. Something tells me she would not be the new lawyer we’re expecting that Irma’s supposed to be getting, unless she’s a lawyer with a poor sense of justice and duty. Anyway, they are not bringing this whole issue of Miguelina’s association with Javier up for nothing; there must be something else to it.

Niecie, one or two episodes ago, Lucas asked Marisol to be his girlfriend. She strangely took a long moment of indecision before she started jumping up and down with glee.

It's too bad that the troll is using the name Connie, because there used to be a recapper on here named Connie, and I still talk to her almost every day in email even after all these years. She wouldn't be the one doing this.

Big question is who's Lucas mother & will she ever show up ?

My guesses on who his mother is could be:
A.) Araceli: messing around with numerous people.

B.) Silvana

C.) Unknown wild-card

Thank you so much Cynderella, I needed this since I was watching out of one eye with guest in the house.

I kept mumbling die bitch, die bitch as Greta spewed to Fausto. For her to say she regretted ever meeting Paco, the father of her meal ticket made me madder than hades.

Bad thing about Renzi now black and blue is he has proof of a beating.

I went back to watch again the funniest part last night. Armando comes home and the harpy started to harp and he just, nope, got his things and left. The look on her face was priceless when she knew she stepped in it.

Jeri - Don't know how I missed that. Thanks for the info.

Now I'm ticked at Lucas. He knows full well he's still hung up on Dani. Now Marisol will be more clingy and annoying than ever.

Niecie, Lucas made his bed & now he has to lie in it !

He's going to stuck with Marisol for awhile. Dani, on the other hand, has mover on to be with Oliver.

Niecie, I miss stuff all the time, even in English. My train of thought gets onto another track, my brain’s buffer fills up, and by the time I arrive at my station, I look around and have no idea where I’ve been for the last couple minutes.

Steve, during a couple’s conflict period, employing the telenovela double standard (and this was true in romance novels, too, when I used to read them), the guy is allowed to fool around for a while; but the chick is not usually allowed on account of making her look like a slut. However, in contemporary telenovelas, the chick might be able to mess around, too. I can’t exactly picture Daniela messing around with Oliver; but she might dangle Oliver a bit before she gets back with Lucas. :D

Ya..Lucas asked Marisol to be his girlfriend and she said she had been waiting for him to ask since forever.

Tofie, I got the feeling that Peralta only had Renzi beaten because Renzi claimed he'd been beaten. Peralta knew that if Renzi talked to Tavares with no apparent healing cuts or fading bruises Tavares would get more suspicious than he already is. Renzi is stupid, Peralta's not. Now I wonder about Renzi ratting Peralto out. I don't think there's much loyalty there.

Does anyone think Octavio was involved in the mafia ?

xlnt, that's what I think happened, too. He practically sighed and shrugged. He just turned to the goon and said you know what you have to do.

If Araceli is somehow revealed to be Lucas' mother, how will everyone react ?

What connection do you see between Araceli and Lucas?

Jeri, I was just speculating.

We don't even know what his mysterious mother looks like yet or if she'll show up in this TN.

Armando needs to forget both of these women. He goes from one crazy to another type of crazy. Alexa was always flirting with Armando, calling him, touching him playfully, making passes at him long before he was a free man. None of these women know how to respect boundaries, Alexa included. Just because Alexa had and has the power to steal a man, does not mean she should.

Anon, doesn't look like he'll forget Alexa anytime soon.

Armando has always been a free man; he made that clear to the world (and specifically Alexa) by not marrying Irma for all those years, despite even thinking she was the mother of his biological child.

What Armando has always shown is a commitment to Nando, and this is no encumbrance to a relationship with Alexa.

In fact, they've given Nando and Alexa a clearly mutual appreciation for each other from the start. The relationship between Armando and Alexa was destined from the beginning.

Irma has always been toast; they created her disagreeable so that we wouldn't mind.

Irma should be either in jail or the wacky ward after the Ripoll lobby attack on Alexa. She should N O T be living in Armando's house or have custody of a minor child, Nandito. And Nandito adores Alexa, who, BTW, is not anywhere as crazy, nor deceitful as Irkme.

It's almost likely Alexa & Armando will be together despite roadblocks.

Anyone cooked up the recap from Friday ?

Xlint is cooking up #74.

OK, so Irma is crazy, but that's the chance you take when you mess with someone else's dude. Remember, Alexa started pursuing him when he was still trying to make it work with Irma...and she didn't care.

My mother always told me this about married or "taken" men. If you take someone else's man, you get EVERYTHING that belongs to the other woman. Meaning, if he's a cheat, you have just received a cheater. If he's a wife beater, you just stole a few of her beatings. If he's a gambler or an alcoholic, you took that mess from her. You get everything because you had to have that man and everything that comes along with him.

OK, cuss me out later, but she used OJ as an example. Nicole stole OJ from his first wife. Maybe...just maybe she stepped in and took what the first wife was supposed to get.

I personally would not do it; I subscribe to the strategy that if you want to wind up with a drunk, meet your spouse in a bar. Or if you want to wind up with a cheater, take one from somebody else.

But in fact Armando never discouraged Alexa; quite the opposite: he came to her rescue and became her rock. She was not mistaken in thinking he wanted to.

It's a cop out for him to say that he didn't marry Irma all those years because of money. He was already supporting both of them. He didn't marry her, because she's kind of a nasty person; and he doesn't like that about her.

I think the story just didn't want to say that about Armando, because he's supposed to be an angel; but he's got a feather or two missing out of his wings. He thoroughly enjoyed Alexa's attention; he's human alright.

Armando would have been happy to go on like that until Nando was raised and then just drift away from Irma. If they were old enough, they might have stayed together for habit's sake.

In the beginning of the story, he was happy about the "race" because he would now have the my to marry Irma. I agree that he could have married Irma at any time, but I think that he also intended to marry her if they had not lost that race. Trust me, I agree that he is no angel.

Also, has anyone noticed that they are trying to give Chava a slutty past now. I thought I heard one of the characters mentioned that he slept with a lot of women after Araceli left him. I think they're building up his tom cat past because Zepeda is on the way.

Yeah, that is what I was referring to which I thought was a cop out; he claimed getting a sponsorship if they won the race would make it possible for him to marry Irma. But lots of poor people marry; so...yeah.

In regard to Salvador's past, it's not the story that's trying to tarnish his reputation, it's simply Patricio trying to do that. He's the one trying to put together an ugly reputation to make Sofía feel cheap and used. Maybe for the 15 minutes she does, Patricio thinks, he can squeak in and get to the altar with her.

It wasn't my night to recap. Matias told everyone that Chava had slept with 20 women after Araceli left him. Araceli was appalled. Chava asked her what she expected him to do since she was with another guy in Monterey. The show is making him out to be a tramp too.

The story isn't trying to argue that, because Matías is the greatest guy in the show, and he doesn't think so; and we all agree with him. Salvador is not a tramp; no one besides Patricio, with his vested interest, has even hinted that Salvador is a tramp. Araceli would be the first one most expected to think so, and she's still trying every minute to get him back.

The only one trying to make hay with the information is Patricio. He's been frantically trying to track down some of the women Salvador was supposedly with.

I'm telling you. I will find the episode where Matias mentioned that Chava has been with a lot of women. Chava got embarrassed because Araceli gives him the stink eye. Patricio is now looking for his women, but now the other characters are saying that Chava was at one time in his life a tom cat.

Currently, Chava appears to be virgin like. I don't think that will be so when Zepeda takes over.

Thank you for commenting Dona Felipa. Please come back again.

?? You won't find where I said that scene didn't happen. I'm saying Matías explained it well, and neither he nor Aracely care about that episode in Salvador's life.

The only useful purpose it serves is for Patricio to get Sofía off balance long enough to commit to him again. To make Sofía doubt Salvador truly loves her.

I don't see how it matters which actor is involved when the situation works out. How would that work differently for Pedro than for David?

Oh, I see. No, I don't think anyone thinks Salvador is virginal. They know he was serious with Araceli a long time, and that she is hot after him still.

Not saying they can't make use Salvador's prowess later when David comes on; Pedro sure wouldn't to it.

But I don't think they planned it because of David; I think they needed ammo for Patricio. He's trying everything he can to trap Sofía.

I really had no idea where you were going with that. LOL To me the only use for it is what Patricio's going to do.

Im saying that PChava seems innocent and virgin like. He can't bear his father because Javier cheated on his mother. Everyone says what a great guy he is and how he treats women well. The way PChava acts, Araceli is his only sexual conquest. Now we are learning that he has been with a lot of women. All I'm saying is that DChava is getting a tom cat background. Cynderella

If I'm remembering it correctly, Matias said that Chava was a ladykiller cause all the women loved him but he didn't say Chava chased them. I get the feeling Chava actively played the field after Araceli dumped him, but has been solo for a long time now. Remember the hot motorcycle chick he turned down?

Gee, I have mixed feelings about Irma's beatdown of Alexa. Now Irma has no business putting her hands on Alexa, but Alexa was publicly pawing Irma's longtime mate. Alexa has not been taking Armando's trouble-ridden breakup with Irma too seriously. She seemed to think she could just breeze in and take Armando.

Jeri I think that you are right about the Patricio thing. I reread your statement. I was just mentioning how the background is changing for Chava.
Cynderella

I made a mistake. Lupe said it. Araceli had come over for dinner.
cynderella

I have to find the exact scene because now I am obsessed.

Niecie, I'm not saying that Chava chased them. Im just saying that he boinked them. cynderella

I thought Alexa on the floor all indignant and with her eye shadowed eyes popped wide open was fabulous! :D

She's going to get her man, but we get to see her grow up on screen, I hope. They were still calling her La Chica Ripoll trying to explain who was on the floor. Hilarious!

All of the dirty laundry is coming out now.
