La Gata #61 11/25/14 La Paralítica
I missed the first little bit and the house was kind of chaotic with dogs and visitors, so I'm going to throw some bullets up and watch on hulu tomorrow and put more details in then.

- I tuned in right as Ines, Garabato and the gang had made their escape.
- La Gata is paralyzed and wearing odd headgear with two lemons for each ear. The doctor says there is a possibility of surgery, but it's risky. If I had taken a drink every time someone said "paralítica" I would be sloshed.
- Everyone visited Esme.
- Lowrenza is growing a heart and very much wants to be a part of her nieto's lives. Augie is not sold on the idea.
- Chacharas and Rita have a conversation. I missed it due to some animal chaos, but I think she is pretty convinced the cards are right, and Chacharas is convinced that God is good and will help the two lovebirds.
- Gisela pops pills and wished for Esmeralda's demise. She even tries to send her to her death, but thank heaven is caught by El Sil. He did not punch her in the throat even though I kept telling him to.
- Pablo regains consciousness and learns of Esmeralda's paralysis. He is very upset and curses the fates that have dealt Esme such a harsh blow in life. He grew up in luxury while she grew up in a dump with no one to show her the tiniest bit of kindness. He wishes they could take his legs and give them to Esmeralda.
- Needless to say, no one plans on telling Esmeralda about her paralysis (which is going to make it twice as hard for her to take when, according to the avances, Gisela tells her.)
- Monica comes to visit and Gisela threatens her. Gisela is determined to keep anyone of the female gender away from Pablo.

Lorenza is freaking me out with her apparent sincerity.
I'm bothered by how randomly Gisela is popping those pills. It's like she's having a mint or something. And the bottle is not a prescription bottle.
You were more restrained in your suggestions to El Sil than I was! I hope he mentions this to Mariano. I imagine that would up his level of suspicion. Why do TN hospitals always have such lousy security?! It's frustrating!
I'm pissed that Monica didn't call Gisela's bluff. Don't get me wrong, I still think she's a jerk, but at least she's not an attempted-murdering jerk.

Hi, Sara. Sounds like you have your hands full with company, etc. Thanks for putting up one of your succinct bullet recaps in the face of all the distractions.
I could not believe that Meche let Lorenza take the babies out for a stroll. Que? I would have had to see more history of sincerity before I would have done that.
It seems like all the MNs except for Augie are turning into/are respectable, caring people. I still think that with a lot of booze Augie would come around too.
I couldn't believe that Ines and company got away with the heist. That cop car was right on their tail, but they pulled it off. She will learn all the wrong lessons from this.
And our dear Gisela, popping some kind of pills and scaring off any female who can still produce children. The pills don't seem to be doing much good; maybe they're breath mints.

Thanks everyone. I still haven't gotten to watch the episode again and my daughter just flew in from LA. I doubt I will be adding to this. Honestly it was another non action episode.
J, I was surprised that Lo and Gisela didn't have more of a conversation. I wonder how she'll react when Mariano finally figures it out. Will she go into denial mode or join him in bringing Gisela down? I'll keep an eye out tonight for Principe or any changes to the pomp. Call you on the big red phone, or light up the Bat Signal?
David, I had the same thought about Meche letting the babies out of the house with Lorenza. If it were me, I'd insist on Silencioso's permission, and she'd be allowed to visit only at the house. Definitely not going to run the risk of her having a relapse!

5ft, I agree completely that Monica folded the colors pretty quickly and without a fight.
gringo, I didn't see any smooth transition from the high speed chase with gunfire to parking the car and walking off either.
In case some of you aren't very good in the kitchen, or would like to try a new recipe for tomorrow, our 4 year old twins came up with these;
Lily; Go to the farm and get a turkey. Cook it with banana cookies in the oven. Cook it for ten minutes. Pour icing over it and eat it.
Madelyn; Get a turkey from the farm. Cook it on the stove for 30 minutes with butter.
Have a nice Thanksgiving, everyone.

My one little comment about Gisela: when the doctor made a point of saying Pablo might not remember much, I fully expected her to try and convince him she was the love of his life and Esme was the devil. I'm terrible at making predictions. It's kind of nice since no show ever seems predictable to me. Lol.

Unseasonably cool today and tomorrow in the lower to mid 60's but will wear my shorts and about 10 of our friends and I will eat outdoors in the garden. Headed to DC next week on business so I expect a shock. Cold is ok for a few days, I just hate to ruin a pair of shoes or boots if precipitation is involved.

I can't figure where the Garabato & Ines thing is going. I know she got it in for Esmeralda but Esmeralda & Pablo seem to shoot their own self in the foot and need no help.
Already, did the John shake down, a stabbing, brief incarceration, a drugging, now armed robbery and a high speed getaway with gun play. Next, and what has it got to do with the story? Don't get me wrong, I'm ok with most of an episode of them on the highway to hell and it sure better than two with the bonehead lovers in a hospital bed, but why?

What on earth could anything they do to Esmeralda trump what Ines and Garabato have already done for a high? Kidnap and torture, babynapping? I forgot to add Garabato already killed a man and Ines was in ecstasy. They're doing alright coming up with stuff that pays better and gets Ines off quicker.
