Mi Corazon es Tuyo #78 At this rate Ana will complete the puzzle of her mom by the time she collects social security ... Johnny gets a new job... and the mansion gets a new pet

Refritos:

Repeat of Nando giving Ana the laptop. Repeat of Reeky saying goodbye to Fernando. Repeat of part of the moving convo between Fernando and Alicia.

Lo Nuevo:

In the homework room the kids tell Fernando about an online contest they want to enter to try to win some money (1 Million pesos, about $50K) to help out Leon. Fernando agrees to let them enter the contest.

Jenny in kitchen asks Manuela to teach her how to fix healthier foods for Nico. Manuela happy to help.

The plumbing under the sink begins to leak pretty fast and furious.

Johnny is at the door. He asks Manuela to see if he can talk to Fernando to try to get a job through him. Manuela invites Johnny to eat some of her stew.

Isa at Reeky’s is nagging she has been waiting for him for hours. He shows her the photo shopped result. She is impressed. He gets a call in his cell. It is Laura. He explains who it is to Isa. Isa can’t believe he is adding another ‘little girl’ to his list. ( Meanwhile in the bus Laura is hoping that Reeky will be her ticket to continue at the University. ) Isa tells Reeky that the baby is Fernando’s, not his.

Johnny helps Bruno and Manuela out in the kitchen. (I will skip the comic choreography)

Fernando talks to Ana in her room. She is so glad he was able to talk to Alicia. She is so proud of him, very beautiful words he said. She makes him blush. He wants to hear what happened with her mom. She gets upset.. tells him Diego discovered her mom’s name is Soledad. (we see a woman polishing her nails… turns out to be Soledad, but we don’t see her face. Only hear her voice and her singing voice singing the Ana song… but with the ‘today’ voice… there is a certificate on the wall for Soledad Fuentes from Mexiquense school… praising her performance at a ‘Sing together’ campaign… seems she might have made a career as a singer… this woman has a very nice manicure set and another guitar. She looks well off, although not quite as well as the Lascurains) Ana gets real sad and after a few attempts from Fernando and some caressing of her chin and hair, she finally tells him that her mom was in jail for killing someone. Fernando gives her a great comforting hug. She says she had been looking for her mom all her life and she turns out a killer. Fernando asks ‘are you sure?’ everything will be alright. I am with you. Ana is embarrassed that he found out. He is really moved and his eyes are teary.

Johnny has finally fixed the plumbing. But then he hits his head hard on the frame of the sink cabinet. The twins enjoy the show. FF>> Manuela suggests to Bruno that they could use a handyman for plumbing, electrical and handywork. Bruno says the one who should decide that is Don Fer Nan Duh!

Ana tells Fernando that maybe like Fanny says, her mom had to leave her at the orphanage because she had to go to jail. Fernando is very interested in any other details Ana knows about her. Ana starts crying again and he gets closer to her and says ‘don’t cry’. (LOL!! Ana steals the handkerchief in his jacket without asking and uses it to wipe her tears) Fernando repeats the facts she knows, like she might have lived with her mom at Ecatepec. Then Ana and Fernando say ‘who knows’ in English. Fernando suggests they now look in the registries of the jails nearby. Fernando keeps asking Ana not to cry and caressing her face. In comes Luz. Fernando and Ana both jump off the bed. Luz can tell Ana was crying and Fernando has a stain in his shirt (probably Ana’s lipstick or makeup). Ana can’t lie to Luz. She was crying about her mom. Luz says she does not want to see them sad, she wants them both to be happy and pulls them into a three-some group hug. Fernando and Ana give puppy-love looks to each other through tears.

Reeky and Laura head to the bedroom after he tells her ‘I can fulfill your dreams, but you better not dare lie to me or betray me’.

Fanny and Nando talk about Ximena and Laura. They kid around that Fanny went from old friends (Ximena and Laura) to a new friend, Edith. Fanny says ‘who would have thought, the ‘fresa’ and the ‘fongueta’(sp??, not sure what that means)). They both laugh about it. They wonder what reaction Fernando would have when he sees Edith.

Bruno talks to Fernando about Juan’s job at repairing the sink and suggesting to hire him as the handyman. Fernando trusts Bruno’s judgement and leaves it up to him. Bruno thanks him.

Ana is at Chicago giving her performance… this time longer and more elaborate than ever. Diego admires, Ino-Doro very happy. The place is full to capacity. Meanwhile we see Fernando a bit lost in his thoughts. Bruno asks him what’s up. Fernando says it would be great to find Ana’s mom so they could reunite. Fernando asks Bruno to fix him a tea with Ana’s recipe. The doorbell rings and Fernando offers to open the door. Surprise, surprise… Trick or treat!! It’s Edith!! Fernando has a WTH look in his face. It takes Fernando about a minute to adjust but he lets her in (but she is right, he looks like he just saw a dinosaur) after she says she is looking for Fanny. Before he lets her go upstairs, he introduces himself as Fanny’s dad. Once Edith is heading upstairs, he says ‘this house… is not normal.’

Johnnny arrives at the Chicago to see the end of Ana’s performance. He tells Jenn he ended up getting a job at the mansion. She is happy for him. He starts flirting with Jenn. She brushes him off. FF>>

At her dressing room Ana keeps thanking Diego for all he does for her. She gives him a few kisses.

Fernando confides in Bruno that he feels like the story is repeating itself, that he and Diego are fighting for the same woman. Bruno wisely notes that it will again be up to her to choose. But Bruno also says that Fernando knows Ana is the perfect woman for him, and besides, she loves him (Fernando). Fernando can’t help but feel bad for his brother. Bruno suggests he ask Ana how she feels. Fernando feels like Diego has deserved her more now that he has done so much to help her find her mother. ‘Love does not put conditions’. ‘yeah, but it is also unfair’. ‘tell me about it. I loved Edelina like no one else. And she left me.’ ‘and Manuela?’ ‘I don’t know, sir. I don’t know if I truly love her’.

Edith is giving Fanny the debriefing of her meeting with Fernando. Edith tells Fanny that some guys followed her and she is visibly nervous. Edith tells her the story of her dad and her brothers. One of her brothers tried to abuse her. This is why she left the house. Fanny hugs her.

Ana and Diego are on their way to the mansion and she spots a doggie that was limping. Seems a car hit him on the leg, which is bleeding… Ana wants to bring him to the house to cure him. She convinces Diego to bring it even though Diego does not think it is a hot idea due to Fernando’s ways.

Said Fernando is falling asleep in a chair in his library. Ana and Diego bring the puppy upstairs.

Fernando wakes up and starts to head out.

In the kitchen Diego and Ana run into Fanny and Edith. Fanny introduces Edith to Diego and Ana. Ana tells them about the puppy. She makes Edith hold him while she goes for the first aid kit. Fanny is trying to keep the puppy quiet since Fernando could hear the barks.

Fernando runs into Ana. She has to tell him she cut herself so she is going for the first aid kit. He notices there is blood on her coat sleeve. Then she again shouts real loud and he covers his ear, she is real loud. She will bring a glass of water to his room, but convinces him to head upstairs ahead.

In his room, Fernando starts to sneeze continuously. Ana brings him the glass of water. He starts a word game to say that allergies are a way for the body to indicate something it does not want to stay near. But there are other things that the body WANTS to be near. He gets close to her but then another sneeze comes. She gets offended and asks him to cover himself next time. She leaves before he can do anything but sneeze.

There is a crew of 5 in the kitchen to give the puppy a bath. Diego tells Ana, Fanny, Edith and the puppy that Fernando was always sick and has always had allergies to many things. They were never able to have pets because of it. (as he is telling the story he puts about 10 times as much soap as they need in the little tub). Ana gets a call from Ino-Doro demanding that she come in the morning to give Edna her first lesson. She says she has another job and can’t. Ino-Doro gets irate at her and says I want you here first thing in the morning!! Ana repeats that she can’t so it is not going to happen. She hangs up and Ino-Doro gets so angry he slams his phone on the floor yelling that she will suffer the consequences.

Ana takes the puppy to her room. She asks Bruno to watch the puppy while she goes downstairs a moment. Bruno starts a convo with the dog.

Downstairs Ana is saying goodbye to Fanny on her first day of classes at the new school. Fanny asks her about the puppy. What will you do with it. Ana does not want to be questioned about it now. Fernando gets a call. Then he hangs up. Fernando tells Ana he has another clue about her mom. Her name is Soledad Fuentes and was at the Toluca jail between 1982 and 2000. Ana is moved and excited… but… Ino-Doro shows up at the door.

Previews: Ino-Doro could be here to end Ana’s fairy tale. And her time in the mansion could be over. We hear Fernando yell Anaaaaaa!!! Real loud after Ino-Doro leaves.

Great work, Marta.

It's time for Fernando to get allergy shots. Animals add so much to one's life and his kids would be good with a dog like this. Is that Popeye from UFCS?

Ana does not deserve what's about to happen.

Thanks for another outstanding recap, Marta!

Funniest scene: Laura taking an extra (evidently needed)swig of her drink before leading Enrique into the bedroom.

Now we will have to put up with Johnny the handyman? I feel sorry for the actor portraying such an obnoxious character. Of course, I have to remind myself that others somewhere might see him as actually funny, right?

Seems like "a" Soledad is alive and well. That will prove interesting. Somehow it seems to have been all too easy with too many lucky breaks but we are in telenovela land, aren't we?

So, Doroteo has found his way into the Lascuráin mansion. Too bad it had to come to this. Seems like everyone at Chicago knows too much about her business apart from the club.

Lovely Marta! Cute episode, and I'm officially in love with one of the characters now. KEEP THE DOG writers otherwise my heart will break. Fer can take a Benadryl or as UA suggest, get allergy shots. (IS the ferret even around anymore?)

On the other hand, I shed tears at the thought that Johny now will be underfoot in the mansion. Why? Just why?

My guess on the Fer yell in the previews is he found the dog and it's not about Doro. Somehow I bet Ana gets out of it this time, but why this is dragging out is beyond me.

I rather liked having the overplay with the older Soledad singing the song Ana remembers. You could hear the difference. And that's the same nail polish that Ana liked isn't it? They seem to be moving this plot along quickly, so I expect we will have a meet up soon. (And I have those exact Beethoven pieces of sheet music--cracked me up.) And we take it she is a performer now? Why she didn't search out her daughter should be interesting.

Laura is as dumb as a clock. Get a financial aid loan girl.

Daisynjay

DaisynJay... ITA with (IS the ferret even around anymore?)

and yes Fer can just take allergy meds...

the funny moment for me was Ana taking the silk(?) handkerchief right out of Fernando's jacket to wipe her tears and in a later scene Fernando had it back in there... (he has several the same?)
the Laura and Reeky scene made me sick ... yes, can't you get some financial aid and loans, girl?

LOVED LOVED the scene of Fernando meeting Edith. The old Fernando would have NEVER let her in the door, and gone to lecture Fanny on being more selective with her friends... THIS FERNANDO is more open to get to know people first (at least give them the benefit of the doubt if first impression is not ... impressive to him; too bad it doesn't work the other way when the first impression is good but there is lot of dirt behind the clean faccade).

Marta,

Thanks as always for the great recap. This was generally a good episode. Let's hope that Daisynjay is right and the screaming is about the dog. It does just drag matters out but I am not yet ready for Ana's double-life to be discovered -- maybe as she gets closer to finding her mother.

I am sitting here with a white version of that little dog in my lap and still I am going to say that the last thing that crazy household needs is a dog. However, I agree that they bring love and fun beyond measure and when my little one makes me sneeze, I turn to the meds. Yes, what happened to the ferret? Wasn't he restricted to the play/homework room?

Two great scenes, with Ana and the tie and Fernando responding graciously (at last) to Edith. I got a kick out of Ana's response to her, too. I guess she is now a part of the landscape at the mansion. And Johnny, too. I did like his T-shirt for some reason.

the flower skull tee? it intrigued me but not something i would wear.

yeah i too like Daisy's idea of the Fernando scream being about the doggy... why don't we get the dog to protect everyone in there from Reeky? dogs can smell bad a____es.

love your white doggy picture, traveling lady. is that a poodle?

Marta - Thank you for two wonderful recaps in a row. Your knowledge of Spanish helps me understand so much more about each episode than I do watching it on my own.

Urban, Daisynjay, and Mati - ITA about pets, especially rescued ones! I have four rescues (2 dogs and 2 cats), and they enrich my life more than I can express! In fact, my little dog, Daisy, looks like Ana's dog's clone!

Ewww. . . Enfrique likes young girls. I hope Ana's perro bites him in the . . .

Personally, . . .

. . . I cannot wait to see what Edith looks like under all that makeup.
. . . I wish Ana would never scream again.
. . . I disrespect Ana for making out with Diego. If she's into Fer, she needs to break up with Diego. Otherwise, it appears she's using Diego to locate her mama.

Have a great day on the patio, All!

Marta and Ecuador,

My poodle-maybe maltese mix is also a rescue. What joy she brings us, but it has taken her some time to settle down and trust her environments. You never know what rescues have been through.

Yes, the tree/peace symbol/skull. It had a kind of a Dia de los Muertos look. I am just looking for something to like about Johnny, I guess.

I have seen the actress who plays Soledad be so warm and loving in various novelas. I hope she gets there in this one as those are Ana's best traits.

I agree, EB, about Ana screaming and making out with Diego. I also have to say that the flirting between Ana and Fernando has to be confusing to the children and not a great example inasmuch as his still-legal wife and the mother of the coming baby is in the house.
Hard to know the audience for this novela!

One quick correction before I have to run. When Edith was telling her back story, she said her dad died when she was 15 and her mom remarried a guy who had teenage sons. One of the sons molested her.

I'll jump on the WTH? with Ana initiating the kisses with Diego last night. There is gratitude and then there is giving the guy hope - and she knows how he feels. If she is trying to quash her feelings for Fer, which I don't know, isn't that apparent to me, than as much as I love Ana, I have to say shame on her for doing that to this awesome guy who supports her in every way.

Great point about the kids Mati. Especially when it comes to little Luz.

And one of my rescue darlings of the kitty variety ( can't have dogs in my building otherwise there would definitely be one of those too!) just hopped on my lap and proceeded to type out her own comment. Didn't think anyone would understand her kitty typing, but loosely translated she is in favor of keeping the dog and sending Isa to the pound.

Daisynjay

Tks Marta

What happened with the ferret?

When we last saw him he was in the kids' playroom.

UGH I can't believe we're going to have to put up with Johnny in the mansion now, too. Although he is completely amazing at household repairs apparently, like knowing to swap in an intact section of pipe for one that has holes drilled in it. What did Manuela put down the drain? Dynamite?

Soledad seems like a "good" person, so I am guessing that she didn't look for Ana because she was so ashamed of her criminal record and thought her daughter would be better off without her. The search for mom does seem to suddenly be advancing too easily, but I think we're far enough into the show that it can be time to meet the mother and move into the next act.

I wonder if Edith's prejudices against rich people have anything to do with the stepbrother who molested her (at least in her mind, if she feels being a rich "princess" would have spared her this), or if they are two unrelated issues. I also wonder how she could afford all those tattoos if she left home young and is going to school and paying rent at the boarding house. Does she have a job? I wonder what she does outside of school.

Edith also said that some guys have been following her. I wonder if Fanny can help her with that. Or Ana. I can see Ana and Diego scaring the bejeebers out of some punk jerks.

How did Edith know where Fanny's room was? I thought they had only met before at the boardinghouse and the school and gone to Ximena's house.

EW, Laura. Ew ew ew. No. Ugh. Also, I don't think Enfrique is going to give up all that tuition money just for a roll in the hay or two. I suspect he's going to use Laura against the Lascurains in some dastardly way.

Thank you so much Marta.

The one person that really, really, really turns my stomach will now be in the house. I do not understand.

I'm with you guys on Ana & Diego and so very disrespectful to Diego and he doesn't deserve that. She may be confused on what to do about her love for Fernando but there is no doubt who she loves.

I also think Jenny is disrespecting Nic and if Juan won't stop hitting on her should cut him off completely. She used Nic's connection to get him a job at the garage and he blew that and now Juan is right next door.

Ana has buried her head in the sand about her job as an exotic dancer and the man who owns her.

Well, the good news is that Johnny sucks at everything and never keeps a job very long, so he should be out of the mansion again in short order. Isn't there a deep mine somewhere he could be picking at rock and we'd never have to see him? He is completely useless. He is neither entertaining/empathetic/appealing, nor villainous enough to contribute anything meaningful to the plot. He's just a tacky and annoying part of the decor.

I hope Fer does find out about Ana's night job and indentured servitude. It's about time. He might even be able to help her get out of Doro's grip.

Thanks for the excellent recap!

Is the Lascurain home becoming a sanctuary for the hurt and down-trodden? After Edith gave her sob story, immediately Ana brings a hurt dog home... include Bruno, Ana, Leon, and now Jonny, they have turned into a rescue mission.

How did Doro find Ana? I would be surprised if this particular secret came out this early but doesn't look good.

I'm thinking Reeky's photoshopped pic is worse than just a photo of Fer and Ana kissing.

Poor Laura! She has to be really desperate for money to sleep with Reeky. I'm sure she was after Nando for that same reason.I don't trust her not to jerk him over but then I don't trust him not to do the same to her. I do hope at some point her better qualities take hold and she does turn on him to help the family.

Ana's mom looks like she is doing well. I have such high hopes for that reunion. I hope it comes soon!

I too am ready for Ana to get out of the club but I'm not so sure she really wants to leave, indenture or not.

She refused Diego's help so doubt she would accept Fernando's help.

That silly little girl Laura actually believes she is playing Ricky. Ah, the folly of youth.

So, Bruno discloses a possible out of the relationship with Manuela. Hope he moves on to someone really worthy of his good works, perhaps a reconciliation with his true love. Leave Juan & Manuela in the house alone a few times and she'll be gone.

With Ana's dancing skills, surely she could get a job in a better club with a less skeevy boss if she were freed from inoDoro. Last night's routine was amazing! She might even be able to get work at a more upscale place that does, like, circus dinner theater stuff instead of just writhing for pervy dudes.

Ah Tofie I like Manuela. She is a bit crazy but she is a very hard worker and seems very loyal and loving. I hope Bruno falls deeply in love with her. He is holding on to a lost love from a century ago with someone who obviously didn't love him. Sometimes we forget the truth in old memories and only remember the good or manipulate them to mean something else in our heads. I think that is why Bruno hasn't moved on. He is not remembering truth but a dream.

As a character, I have no problem with Manuela, as the love interest of Bruno, for me I have to force it. I don't think it happenstance Bruno admitted to Fernando he was not sure if he was in love with Manuela. We got Soledad still to appear, could she be worthy?

But wouldn't Soledad be too old for Bruno? Like Yomama? I don't know how old the actor himself actually is.

I'm about to bail on this one. I think I'll just stick to the recaps. I've had enough of:

Bruno's (Rene's) overacting, trying to be funny - he's not!

Ana's annoying screaming at certain points in her dialogs, trying to be cute - she's not!

Isabela's sneering face and Yolanda's greed.

Enrique (Lisardo) trying to be dramatic - he's not!

And Johnny ... No! ... just NOOO!!

I just don't want to see any of this any more.

Anon 12:49 - I kind of agree with all of your pet peeves, but at least they haven't shown Sebas dancing lately. Oops, did I just put that out in the universe? Cancela, cancela, cancela!!

Thanks Marta, I'm with you all, Jonny is now in the house. I think we'll have him there to the end. The producers seem to love him.

Interesting to now have Doroteo out in the open with Fernando, maybe Ana's secret won't haunt Ana for very long. Fernando will accept it because he loves her and the kids love her. Diego and Nic know about it so they will help convince Fer to get over it.

Can't wait for Laura to learn that Enrique is unemployed now. She's giving it up for nothing.

I cringed when Ana gave Diego a thank you smooch which can be very misleading to him. There are plenty of ways to say thank you that don't involve leading someone on.

And how did Fernando find out all that info about her mother? Why didn't he also investigate where she is now that he has all that info?

I find it odd the producers constantly throw Juan right in the middle of everything and without reason. He just shows up. This show is just as much about him as anyone else. If the writers are either too lazy to get rid of him or not talented enough to insert another character and hell bent on this guy being there at the end are we in for a big disappointment?

Thanks for the recap, Marta. This channel was down on my Direct TV last night so I missed everything. Sounds like a lot happened.

Can someone tell me how Diego found out that Ana's mother had been jailed for murder? I thought the woman that Diego questioned said that she couldn't remember anything except Soledad's first name.

I'm also not looking forward to more scenes with whiney, desperate Johnny. Fernando will probably go ballistic when he finds out that Johnny was Ana's old boyfriend. I bet he'll catch Ana in the act of giving Johnny a comforting hug and misinterpret it.

I wasn't clear on how he found out about the going to prison for murder, either. Did the woman eventually remember more details/gossip? Did he ask around the neighborhood for more people who might remember the singing lady from the bus? (although that would be a stretch to remember unless they were well acquainted with her personally).

I wondered if Ana would use her new computer from Nando (what a thoughtful gift! She does love to learn!) to learn how to search public records, but it seems like someone just came up with the prisoner information for her.

They never showed how Diego found out about the info about Ana's mother, except her name. I'm going to guess she knew more about her than just her name and she told him during a commercial break so we didn't see it. Same with Fernando and the people he knew who could find out the rest of Ana's mother's name and jail history.

Aleta: I think Fer already knows that Johnny and Ana are exes.

Nanette

Fernando did tell Ana the evening before he had lots of connections so likely one or two calls and he had the info.

I thought maybe Diego contacted the bus line or inquired if any neighbors also rode the same bus. Total conjecture however.

Fernando does and I found it odd after Juan made a drunk ass out of himself at Fernando's office earlier the last thing he would want is him in the house, though Juan did apologize to him later, sober.

Fer already knows that Ana and Johnny dated. He and Isa ran into them at a restaurant (where Isa threw a huge childish tantrum, and he married her AFTER that!). And then Ana told him about breaking up with Johnny. Plus, Johnny has dropped by his office a few times for chats of his own. This will be no surprise to him.

I AM surprised, though, that he didn't want to ask Ana how she felt about Johnny's skills or his presence in the house before he agreed to hire him.

How many details would you remember about a singer you used to see on the bus thirty-odd years ago, unless you were also personally acquainted with her or had some memorable connection like having given her a guitar?

And apparently she quit the bus gig while she was still pregnant, but Ana was around two or three when she was dropped off at the casa hogar. What did Soledad do in the intervening years? Play on a more profitable bus route? Got a gig someplace else? Some other job entirely? Or was she expecting another baby when the man saw her on the bus?

Julia, you are asking too many logical questions!

Clearly I need a beanie tightening. I'm also still wondering how someone with the mind and manners of an ill-behaved toddler got through Harvard Business School!

I wouldn't be surprised if she manipulated and plagiarized her way through.

Tofie, i loved how you summarized the Ana/Diego scene 'all kinds of wrong' issue from last night:
I'm with you guys on Ana & Diego and so very disrespectful to Diego and he doesn't deserve that. She may be confused on what to do about her love for Fernando but there is no doubt who she loves. She is leading him on, and the higher she lifts him up, the harder his fall will be, and he does not deserve that. If you don't see ANY chance at ever corresponding his feelings, LET HIM GO NOW!!

I agree that details may have been left out in the pursuit of Ana's mother, but I wonder if we aren't getting another contrast in the brothers' methods. Diego sat and sniffed his way through the old books; Fernando had one of his minions call the prison ministry, which did a sort through the Soledad's in Toluca during the years she was in prison.

All pretty unrealistic but in their very different ways, the brother Lascarain got the job done!

I kinda prefer the slower but more thoughtful approach, but Fernando seems to be able to make the trains run -- at least for now!

I agree, T lady. I prefer Diego's slow and smooth way... but Fernando is the one with the quick access resources for sure.

or should I say connections.

I think they were both vital. Diego's research gave Fer's people something to search for. Before he found out the first name and that she had been in prison, all they had to try to search for was a woman who had had a baby girl named around when they think Ana was born (does she even know her birthday? I'm guessing she was assigned one at the casa hogar but doesn't actually know the real date), and whose daughter couldn't be otherwise accounted for. That's quite a search even if the birth records were computerized at some point, which they may or may not have been. I imagine there were a number of Anas born in the area in that era, and assuming the vast majority never became particularly famous or anything, it would take a lot of effort to track them all down to narrow down to any who were missing.

Someone had to do the grunt work and if not for Diego's persistence and clever idea to follow the guitar, Fernando's minions may have taken awhile. Those same minions should be able to track her down but perhaps Ana does that with the new computer. Kinda sad though it wasn't until last night that Fernando even inquired about the search for Ana's mother. Dude's been MIA.

For me, Fer has been more about what Ana gives him, and her wants and needs aren't a blip. Alicia's dress was the first time he has thought about her feelings.

It doesn't speak particularly well of Fer that he didn't get involved in the search until he saw how thrilled Ana was with Diego's efforts and got jealous, and that he hired Ana's ex without discussing it with her first. How is he going to become a real galán?

Also, Fer doesn't seem to have noticed that Ana's ex is the same person who is near-besties with Jen and even walked her down the aisle at her wedding...yet he is supposed to think Ana and Jen only met recently? Someone is not picking up the clues everyone else is tripping over.

Thanks for the info, everybody.

And Cathy, your comment was so funny that I laughed out loud -- "... she told him during a commercial break so we didn't see it."

cathyx, thanks for the correction. it makes her story a bit more cohesive and bearable than if it were her real siblings. My cable signal is still freezing and i miss some of the audio, so thanks for the help.

Wow 50+ comments so far!

Seems as if we haven't been able to answer the question regarding Johnny's possible popularity or lack thereof to other audiences, and now he is going to be front and center at the mansion.

Don't know if I can take much more of him.

Isn't there a "Caray, Caray " equivalent in Mexico which we can poll and add our two cents' worth?

Julia and others,

What great questions and pickups regarding the writers' lack of continuity and numerous, numerous gaps. They are probably spitting the episodes out so fast they don't realize that their audience picks up on these blunders; at least let's hope that is the case and not that they think us too unintelligent or too lazy to care about their sloppiness.
