Alonso spins in his grave, wondering if he will ever find eternal rest

Repeat: Uli and his fellow captives eat their meager rations. Acacia changes from a too short white skirt into a revealing too short negligee. Carmen and Arturo commiserate. Uli hallucinates and cries for Acacia. Este drowns his yearning in a cold shower. Acacia experiences very un-daughter like feelings.

New: Este goes to a bar, plays spin the wedding ring and fondles his bracelet. He falls asleep at the table.

Rubio surprises Cris at Alonso's tomb. Not quite sure what they said.

Juli and German share a sweet moment until she brings up Carmen. German bristles, coming to her defense quickly.

Uli tries to rally his cell mates. They drag his friend out as he gets beaten again for his protests. She arrives later, her face bearing the scars of the brutality she suffered. He comforts her.

Acacia celebrates her homecoming by almost running Cris down. Rubio once again sees everything. Este asserts he loves only Cris. Back home, Este tells Cris he loves her and they celebrate their love with his leftover feelings for Acacia. How quickly he forgets his fervor for Acacia. Blech.

Norberto and German discuss Perla. German knows she is Danilo’s woman. Norberto phones Danilo.

Acacia now sports a shirt masquerading as a dress. Rosa returns Uli’s neckace. She remembers Uli and laments his loss. She seeks consolation from her grandparents and later Cris.

German appears and demands Ale tell him about Perlo and Danio. He gets slapped for his efforts.

German and Luisa converse. Luisa confirms Ale loves him and spills the beans about Ale’s almost pregnancy.

Danilo shows up with a flower for Ale. He reminds her she is his and only his. Cris arrives and looks skeptical, especially as he flourishes a diamond engagement ring. Cris keeps staring at Ale, asking her if she is sure. No! She isn’t…

She and Este go riding. Playful behavior and lingering looks ensue.

Thanks, DIana, I am just warchng this episode now. I think Rubio told Chris that she wasn't alone because he was here to protec her and Ack. What is his game ? He is omnipresent .
 

I got a kick out of the rooster crowing as Estebrawn awoke in the bar. Someone should tell Ack to remove her makeup before she goes to bed,
 

Does Ack own any item of clothing that goes more than two inches below her tushy ? I am always in fear that she will show the cash and prizes.
 

Esteban awakens in the bar as a rooster crows.
 

Este appeared to be giving Ack a driving lesson when she almost ran Chris over. Teaching Ack t o drive could be just the thing to cool Este's jets and make him feel like a dad.
 

When Ale was talking to Perla, I thought that Perla told Ale that Dan was going to kill German, and Ale said that she would kill Dan.
 

It seems the bad dudes raped the mystery girl. She cries less than spoiled baby Ack.
 

I predict that Este is going to snap out of his obsession soon , and Chris is going to wind up pregnant from his redirected passion,
 

Ignore......I mean Rubio....talked to his master in his office, but I do not think he told him about his talk in the tomb with Chris.

After Estebum made love to Chris, he and Ack went out for a ride on their horses and played catch me catch me as they frolicked through the fields. Bleeccchhh Just stop it now.

All I could think when they kept cutting to Acacia having her breakdown about how Uli doing this to her, and poor Uli being roughed up as that poor girl was taken away to surely be raped, was that Acacia has rich people problems. Uli, that girl, those migrants, and even Ale are dealing with stuff SO much more intense, life or death, than Acacia.


 

Diana- I think what Luisa said to German is that she thought (past tense) that Ale loved him, but now she's starting to think not. The proof being how relieved Ale was that she wasn't carrying German' s baby. She told German that it was time for him to move on, which is pretty hilarious coming from her. :)

I had hoped German would have gone from thinking Ale was just confused and grieving, to assuming she was being deceived by Dan, to then finally realizing she's being threatened/pressured. But he seems to be starting to believe that Ale doesn't love him. Come on, German!

Ale did learn this episode that Dan lied, and is indeed still in the prostitution and drug biz.


 

Thanks for all the well wishes yesterday. I am indeed feeling better and in less pain every day. And this site is a great way to pass the time while recuperating. :)
 

Oh, and I am all about being an independent woman like Carmen...BUT...Uli's rent is due and she won't give up his place (which I get), her mortgage is due, they have expensive lawyer bills, Soto people breathing down her neck to get paid, and neither she nor Art are in San Jacinto where their jobs are. It's time for her to take Andres up on his offer to help pay some of these bills!

This show is riveting and I’m so glad you’re keeping the recaps going. Here’s another one of my favorites: Acacia celebrates her homecoming by almost running Cris down.


Luisa got on my nerves blabbing too much to German. Getting it on with Manuel has gone to her head, and she’s in full-drive silly mode. If she keeps sneaking off to try to catch Manuel at his home, one of these days she’s bound to run into Juliana. I’m so annoyed with her, I wouldn’t mind Juliana going off on her.

So Acacia’s back in her bedroom wearing the same nightie as in the hotel room with Esteban, but this time both her mom and Esteban are entering her room so she’s suddenly modest and pulls a covering up over her chest. Now, did the modesty come from realizing, after Esteban's cold shower, that he can get turned on by her or because she doesn’t want mom to think she flaunts it in front of Esteban?

Acacia said something to Juan Carlos and Elena about, I think, preferring Esteban instead of Cris to be her driving teacher. They both shot their granddaughter a look.

How loving (and brave) was Cris to sooth Acacia’s anguish at almost hitting her mother by getting in the passenger seat and encouraging her to keep driving?
 

One more thing. Yay, for the first time, Ale threaten to kill Danilo! I know it wasn't smart for Ale to tell Perla that if Danilo harmed German she would have nothing to lose and would kill Danilo, but I hate seeing her as a victim not fighting back. After seeing that Danilo is still running his dirty business, Ale's fire seems to be back for sinking Danilo. I hope Ale and the poor girl with Ulises that was just raped somehow meet up down the road and bond.
 

Thanks Gloria for opening up for comments. Diana, thanks for posting such a great funny recap. Yes, it was hilarious what you said about Aca almost running down Chris. of course Cris jumps right up and patiently gives her drving lessons. I would've been screamining at my daughter. maybe, dont really know how I would react. Niece, Yeah, I certainly noticed the same thing, Aca pulling up sheets to her chin when her "parents" walked in. Just like she gives him those full body pressing "hugs" when Chris isn't there. She is NOT that innocent, She is partly responsible for driving him mad. She is not a victim. Yes, Vivi, I agree she has "rich people" problems. Human exploitation seems to get worse all the time, it is thriving in U.S. and nightmare levls in other parts of the world. But it irritates me how she gets coddled by her family. Its always pooor Acacia, No wonder she thinks she can get away with her seductress behavior. If Este and her ever do anything, when it comes to light, it will all be his fault taking advantage of pooor Aca. thats all I gotta for today.
Oh and that Luisa definitely is acting totally silly and hope she gets caught by Juli and Rosa. And those were two ferocious slaps Ale gave German. I just want someone to be good to German, Uly and Arturo. Que tipazos!!

I should have also noted that I just love Cris. As some of you noted, she didn't let a little thing like being run down deter her, she just hopped in and told Acacia to drive.

Vivi, so glad you are back! I am very dismayed that everyone is doubting Ale's love for German. I absolutely refuse to believe things will culminate in a Danilo/Ale marriage. But what or who will intervene?? The thought is sickening...

Niecie, thanks so much for adding yet more important details. Yes, Acacia covering up in front of Este where she flagrantly flaunted it only hours ago was puzzling. A bit of guilty conscience perhaps? And yes, I love the fire breathing Ale. She cannot continue to be silent. When oh when will she tell someone/anyone the truth??

Do we even know the name of the poor young woman with Uli?

Novella lover, you cut right to the heart of so many matters today. "But it irritates me how she gets coddled by her family. Its always pooor Acacia" is totally true. While I love her grandparents and admire their support, she absolutely is coddled - what a perfect word.

I have faith in Uli and I am hoping he figures a way to escape.

The writing has been exceptional. I think the writers have been clever in drawing out the sexual tension between Acacia and Estebon. They clearly know (as do we), once the line is crossed, there is no going back.

The previews show a lean in - will there be a kiss?

Just love this show and what a wonderful bunch of folks to enjoy and savor this with.

So much to say. Wow! Ale was very tough on German last night, she slapped the daylight out of him.

Will Juliana catch Luisa? Don't know but she needs something strong to bring her back from the dreamland that she is living in.
Juliana can wake her up that's for sure. Luisa is no match for Juliana.

Diana---They celebrate their love with his leftover feelings for Acacia. An excellent line.

Poor Acacia! Uli was so mean to her, she's suffering sooooo much.
I had thought that the Acacia breakdown was over played, and over emphasized. Good grief! Young
people break up all the time, it's
sad and hurtful for a few days but the nearly constant coddling of Acacia was getting to be too much, at least for me anyway. Ale,
Uli, the rape victim and the migrant workers are in real danger
not much coddling for them.

Novella lover---Who comes up with these names? Well I'm the gringo here. I had thought that with the story taking place in another country, peoples names would be different than names we are used to. Besides, every lady isn't Maria and every man isn't Juan so I had thought that they were normal---it was Octavio in CI.

Niecie in MD---I too noticed Acacia's modesty when she was in her bedroom last night. I was thinking your very same thoughts.
What's up with Acacia? Is she really that young and naïve? I don't think so.

being held captive with Ulises bonding at some point in the future is a great idea. So great in fact that the writers probably won't think of that.

I can't wait for Uli's and the young ladies escape. I hope that on their way out, Uli can unmask Memo. That would really start the ball rolling towards DevilDan's downfall.

I'm counting the hours until tonight's broadcast.

gringo, so glad you brought up Memo.

I'm feeling very guilty. I had recently noted that Dan gave Perla a gift by telling her she should marry Memo.

In fairness, I thought he was a fate far better than Danilo. And yes, that still holds as that the whole truth is that almost anyone would be preferable. That said, Memo is a low life who is imprsioning and enslaving innocent people and participating in their abuse. And while Perla has a great deal to atone for, she is far better than Memo. He can take those piercing, baby blue eyes and stare at us all he wants. I am now immune.

Ack and Uli already did the deed , so Ack is not an innocent. It was funny when she covered up when Chris and Esteboob entered . HEY.. she bopped around in that nightie in the hotel room with Esteberry after feeding him those chocolate covered strawberries.....Lolita.
 

Chris seems very suspicious of smarmy Dan , and I think that Perla and perhaps Juli Jr. will turn against him.

I feel like I'm going to be saying "Poor German" a lot in these upcoming episodes. That scene between him and Ale was intense. Ale shouldn't waste her time trying to prove that German is wrong in his suspicions.

I got the feeling when Ale was talking to Perla that Perla knew Ale was right in everything she was saying about how Perla can have a better life without Dan etc. Perla might be Dan's accomplice, but she is also a victim of him.

Dan and Estebonkers are crazy, disgusting men. I'm always amazed at how in film and TV how the actors and actresses don't mind doing the kind of scene that Ale and Dan (the "proposal" scene) or even Este and Acacia have to do when there's a big age gap between the actor and actress. But I guess they are professionals so they just do it.

I, like many of you, am growing tired of Acacia. She is playing the victim to the extreme. And she is being coddled way too much. I too thought it interesting that Acacia covered up when Cris and Este walked in, yet the night before had no trouble strolling out in the same negligee in front of Este alone. Hmmm... I think Acacia is starting to have feelings (or a physical attraction) for Este and is maybe feeling guilty. Also, maybe because she misses Uli (and the sex they were starting to have), she feels drawn to Este. Or maybe she has always liked Este, and now she's gonna go for it. Who knows?

On another note, Luisa is letting the sex get to her head. She is naïve, and thinks that because Manuel is having sex with her that he loves and wants to marry her. She has a lot of suffering coming her way in the near future.

From the avances, looks like we may have our first kiss between Acacia and Este tonight. Must see TV!
