♥ Mi Corazón es Tuyo ♥ Viernes 11/21/14 ♥ #89 ♥

Was there no program on Friday night?  If not I will delete.  If so, let's discuss.

There was a program, it's Jardinera's Friday. I hope everything is alright with her husband.

I hope so, too. It's not like her to be late like this. I'm concerned.

Thanks for posting the page UA.
I hope all is well with our friend Jardinera.

Over in TN-land, looks like they are doing a cleanup campaign of Johnny, seemingly more serious and responsible with the kids, more mainstream wardrobe, etc; don't like the direction this is taking us.

Diego really thinks Natalia will abandon her job and go with him? Even though she is the "consolation prize"? Somebody, give him a clue that he is not one of the gods up on Mt Olympus.

Don Fernando seems too unconcerned about giving up the presidency of La Costena. I bet he has an ace up his sleeve.

Stay well, everyone!
J in Oregon

J in Oregon, I think so too about Fernando. He gets this look that's hard to describe when he talks to Bunny.

What did Isa say to Enrique at the end of the ep? It was about the baby and she seemed surprised and a little guilty about what she said.

I hope Jardinera and her family are okay.

Yay, the brujas have moved out!!! Though I don't know for how long. Could Isa have been any more of a snotty brat about the apartment? I did like how Yolo told the guy Isa wasn't really her daughter. Don't know why the lawyer and choler hung around so long. I would have dropped them off and fled!

Johnny is definitely getting a character makeover. For the first time, I kind of liked him when he was talking sense to Nico. I could see how the actor could be appealing as an ordinary guy. Thus show has spent so long making him abhorrent, though, that I just want him gone and would prefer to give the actor another chance on a different show.

Eyeroll that it took four competent adults to make a meal. Maybe perhaps just possibly they don't need quite so many dishes for one meal. That was ridiculous. And sweet Briana was the only one polite enough to try the cream of spinach.

What was with Briana's weird enthusiasm for the rap? Is that poor girl going to be forced to crush on Sebastian next?

Big baby Diego won't be happy till he kills his dad. He is more like a spoiled little brat in a tantrum every time I see him. I can't stand his with "you loved Fernando more than me" lind . Even Nico knows that Diego is running away just like he did 20 years ago. I liked how he told him he had to take responsibility for his own life. Maybe he does need to leave town: if for no other reason than so I don't have to listen to him playing the victim again. Just watched Scandal tonight: he needs Olivia Pope to "counsel" him just like she did Cyrus.

So now we also know officially that someone did try to kill Nico. How long will it take for a police investigation?

I was right in my prediction about Johnny in the kitchen. He is not as nearly obnoxious when he is away from the club.

Ana's mother seems to be a perfectionist music teacher in a school.

It was funny how much Isabela hated her new apartment and how much Yolanda liked it. It wasn't funny how Isabela was yelling at her unborn baby. That was creepy.

I loved how the kids don't know whT to cll Jennifer: "abuelita" or "abuelastra"? Cute.

Jarifa

Nanette, Isa was giving her unborn baby a scolding for causing her so much trouble (past and future), and it's not worth it...but then she said something that made her look like "oops, shouldn't have said that out loud", but I didn't catch what it was.

Jarifa, ITA they are making Diego look like a big spoiled selfish baby. That's not how he started out. We all liked him, remember?

J in O

Nico's and Diego's conversation had a strong whiff of Last Goodbye about it. I don't like that. They could both stand to snap out of it, but I don't want either one dead.

“That Linda is never satisfied, is she?” said Hermes. “If this were purely a matter of incompetence Fernando's resignation would have been enough.”

“But we know it wasn't,” said Eros. “She couldn't seduce him. Hey, even my equipment would freeze if she tried anything with me.”

“That's a pretty big statement, mi carnal,” said Hermes. “What if she had prayed to you?”

“Impossible. She only preys on men. Like a black widow spider.”

“Funny thing is if she finished Enrique off she'd be doing Fernando a huge service/”

“True, but she's smart enough to know that. And Fernando's a lot wealthier than Enrique.”

Dear Jardinera, I am thinking beautiful and happy thoughts for you and your family! And be good to yourself too!

What did Fernando say to Linda? She had a look of consternation on her face...yay!

Nanette and J in O: Enrique tries to calm down Isabela as she is complaining about her new apartment by saying that her being so angry could hurt the baby. She responds by starting with "This baby can go to hell."(the devil). Then she addresses the baby "You didn't do me any good, kid. Fernando has thrown me out of his house and very soon I will be divorced and the only thing I will be left with is you and all of the damned problems you are going to bring me." Enrique looks at her like she is nuts.

Jarifa

Okaaaay...thanks very much Jarifa! Thanks for supplying the exact words. Hope Enrique was shocked by her callous attitude.
J

Anon 12:08, Linda reminded Fernando that she told him that he was going to fall and that she was going to make sure that that happened. He responds that she has a very good memory for not being very smart. She says that if she were as stupid as he says he wouldn't have his tail between his legs. He says that she can see that he does not have his tail between his legs because he is very peaceful and furthermore it wasn't due to her excessive ingenuity that he is no longer in the presidency. He then says he resigned because he never wanted to see her again. She says that that makes two of us. He then goes on to say that she has to be aware of the size of her self esteem if she is looking to relieve him of the presidency only because of scorn. She counters by telling him it is nothing like that because she forced him to resign because he is incompetent. He says they both know from the get go that that is not true and that she used a scandal that she probably provoked to make him resign. She tells him that's a lie. He says ah, okay, it doesn't matter. Enrique is going to do perfectly well managing the company and that he does not think Enrique will be very obedient. He ends by telling her nobody is indispensable especially her.

I hope all is well with Jardinera. Has anyone heard anything?

Hope all is well with Jardinera as well. We had our Thanksgiving weekend, so was surprised to not see her posting when I got on last night. Sending positive thoughts.

The character retconning is really ramping up. They are slaying the Diego character now. That whole hospital scene was ridiculous and not the guy we've gotten to know. We get it, Ana doesn't belong with him, don't have to mangle the character to make it so. I'm sure the writers will ratchet him down a few more pegs to get everyone to be all Ana/Fer. Thanks folks.

And on the other end, we have Mr. I Can Do It All Johny. I don't know, the less spastic and disgusting Johny is better to stomach, but still don't like him. Sorry.

Loved Fer's take down of Tight Buns. He still isn't on to Eeky, but he's right in that the jerk isn't going to be her pawn or husband No. 3...or is it 4? Anyway, she's another one I could handle off my screen.

I sort of was with Isa--living in that apartment would give me nightmares. Little too kitchy. Hated her talking to the baby that way. They hear you witch!

Adding my positive thoughts, prayers and affirmations that everything is going well with Jardinera and her family.

I like that Nic told Diego he gave him bad advise to pursue Ana and he didn't consider Ana & Fernando were not done and loved each other. I think Ana should assume some responsibility though she never told Diego she loved him but she knew the brothers past and how in the world could the relationship have a happy ending. Boundaries people boundaries.

I involuntarily gag when I get a glimpse of Juan and the possibility of him suddenly popping up anywhere, kinda ruining the show for me.

While I didn't like the decor, it all a matter of taste, and Fernando should have asked for Isabela's input. However, her hissy fit made me mad.

I also think Fernando has a clue but to allow Ricky to sit in his seat, to keep Linda in check, after what he did to Fanny, ridiculous.

I don't know how much power Fernando has over the situation with Enrique taking the CEO spot at the company. To make waves under threat of scandal might cause more trouble than ever.

As for Hissabela's objections to the apartment, I say so you sow so shall ye reap.

UA, you are correct Fernando doesn't have the power to appoint or remove Ricky however he did give Ricky his blessing. I'm also assuming Fernando and Nic still hold stock in the company Nic started.

ITA, UA about Fer, Reeky and the company and also about Isa's reaction to the apt..

also agree that Nico did try to fix the bad advice he gave Diego... but it was not right of Diego to rant that in Nico's face, trying to pass the guilt to him (right before Nico's HA).

There are too many things about the business that I don't understand. If Nico started the business, and therefore an owner and he passed it on to his son, then why wouldn't Nico talk to Fernando about the decision to just let it go? Wouldn't he at least care about the future of what he started? I know there are other board members who must be shareholders also, wouldn't they want to vote on who the succeeding president would be? And does Fernando still have an investment in the company even though he's not the president? There are too many important details not being divulged about the company for any of this to make sense.

Thank you, UA, for putting up the board. My thoughts are with others' in wishing Jardinera and her family the best.

I don't think that Nico will die. Maybe it is wishful thinking but his relationship with Jenny is true love and this always prevails in novelas.

I do agree with all who are concerned about the seemingly radical changes in Johnny and Diego. Johny, Johny, Johny --what can we say other than the actor/comic has a show coming up on Univision. Somebody loves him.

I just don't get the way in which Diego has gone back to the way that Nico raised his sons. That seemed resolved and I thought that one of the nice things about this novela was the way in which Nico recognized the differing strengths of his sons and leaned on them differently. On the other hand, when the novela writers need a way out for a character, they often go overboard. The battle over Ana is one thing and Nico's apology for giving Diego bad advice makes sense. The rest of it is overkill.

I agree. I don't know what Osorio has against Pablo Montero, but I'm sure the viewers in Mexico were as mad as we are now.

Neither Nico nor Diego should die at this stage. Fernando and his children have already taken too much. The loss of Fanny, Sr has caused so much angst for the kids and for him and Nick doesn't need to lose a son.

Don't know but they killed Leon's wife already to clear the way for Fanny so Nic at deaths door and Jonny already in the big house with Nics blessing don't look good. I feel sorry for Jenny already because it seems to be decided for her.

No spoiler but I wonder with Manuela's sudden departure and the likely appearance of Ana's mom if she not Bruno's love interest?

I'm with all of you and Diego, and while I didn't think he and Ana a fit romantically, no reason to make him a nut case.

I never liked Nic.

Thanks, Jarifa, for the info on Isa's baby talk.

Is PM still going to be on the show? I was thinking the producers were destroying Diego's rep because they were going to get rid of the character along with the actor.

Tonight's ep makes it the half way mark.

Also think Ana's mom might be Bruno's lost love. Except the name doesn't fit--unless it's a middle name or pet name he called her or something.

I didn't really like Isa's apartment either. Too many generic tchotchkes that look like they're only there to fill space, and not because the occupant actually likes them. There were especially too many low objets d' "art" for a place that's meant to be housing a young child soon.

But that is all irrelevant. If it were only a matter of furnishings, Isa could have had them switched out. She was determined to hate that place and indeed started complaining before she even saw it. Even if she had given input into the selection and decoration, she still would have complained and demanded to leave. I can hardly wait to see her left with NOTHING.

I would think the rest of the board should have to approve the new president. The others, who didn't seem to want Fer gone in the first place, should definitely smell something fishy and wonder why Enfrique is back so soon after he "quit". They should be asking Fer what happened when Reeky left the company. I would love to see Fer outsmart Linda Buns and Reeky. Maybe he thinks he just needs to give them a little rope and they'll hang themselves without his having to lift a finger.

Julia: ITA. I think Fer is waiting for Reeky and TB to to muck things up and then he'll swoop back in.

I also don't understand the business. If Nico started the company he should own a substantial number of shares and be on the Board. Also, Fer should own quite a number of shares and just because he resigned the CEO position should still be on the Board too. If they pulled their shares they could take back control.

Fer again is making a mistake by trying to do the "right" thing. He seems to think his adulterous picture will pull down the whole company and thus affect his employees.

I hope after he gets a break from working, which seems like he has never had one, he will regain his strength and take on TB and Reeky. And Isa too. How ungrateful is she?! She wouldn't have been happy unless it was a mansion because she sees herself only as a queen.

Jardinera I'm sending good wishes your way and hoping everything is okay with you and your family .

Urban thanks for posting the discussion page.

Guys I must have OCD, but check out the petal-motif on the lamp shades in Isabruja's new apartment . The set designers have repeated these lamp shades all over the place. That and Johnny are driving me crazy.

There is some wonky set design on this show. For example, several of the kids' bedrooms have platforms or steps in the middle of them. Who puts steps in the middle of a bedroom, especially a child's bedroom? What purpose does that serve other than "tripping hazard"? And then the twins' beds are a million miles high for no good reason, which also seems like a bad idea.

I hadn't noticed the petal lamps. Maybe petal lamps are the latest hot craze :).

It does really bug me how this producer and his crew put the show logo all over everything within the show. Computers, water bottles, etc. I should invest in "Mi Corazon es Tuyo"! Clearly they are a very successful and broad company! But it's stupid. People wouldn't buy "Mi Corazon es Tuyo" brand computers.

Remember Isa and YoMama had their furniture brought over to the new apt. The petal lamp shades were in YoMama's room at the house. And Fernando did tell them (we learn by YoMama saying it) that they could take all their furniture with them (except the master bedroom, I guess)... so that would mean YoMama's room alone unless Isa bought some stuff and put it in the master.

So it must be YoMama's taste for those fuscia colors and the petal lampshades.

It was the color of the room that rattled me. I like purple, but it was a little too much purple.

Oh Marta

Thanks so much for clarifying the petal-motif lampshades being brought over by the Brujas.
I thought I was going crazy seeing petal lampshades all over the place.

But let me ask, does it make sense that the Brujas had their furniture sent over but never saw their new apartment to see what would or wouldn't fit!!

Would you really expect the brujas to do anything sensible like go look at the apartment and decide what they wanted to take or buy?

I don't mind the purple, but Isa's attitude makes me wish the whole place were painted a really putrid shade of mustard with orange and purple furniture so she'd be stuck with that when she discovered she had no other options. And that Fer had gotten a glossy spread with lots of pictures taken of that and published in a fancy home magazine with lots of gushing text full of backhanded compliments about Isa's taste, as though she had chosen it.

Isa is SO TACKY. She thinks she's high society but anyone who hears anything she says would know immediately she's a gold-digging social climbing guttersnipe.
