Hasta el Fin del Mundo #78 20141204 The Flower that Chava Crushed Wants Revenge

At Ripoll, Armando tearfully shares with Alexa that Nandito is not his biological child.  Irma trapped him.  Alexa cries with him and apologizes for being so selfish about his attention.  She now understands that Irma is not her rival and she's not afraid of her anymore.  She loves him more than ever now.  Armando warns Alexa that Irma feels threatened by anything that makes him happy.  He ends the conversation in order to return to work.  He doesn't want to piss off Sophia.

Meanwhile, Irma has arrived at Snob Hill and demands to speak with Greta.  Fausto tries to block her, but Greta hears their conversation and agrees to speak with Irma in the office.  Irma tells Greta that Alexa is a low-down, dirty, home wrecker who broke up her family.  Greta agrees that her daughter is a man stealing tramp, but she will handle this.  After Irma leaves, Fausto warns Greta not to trust Irma.  There is more to the story; the woman is no good.  Greta says that Irma is a woman in pain.

Paco asks Araceli if it's true that Irma cheated on Armando first.  Araceli confirms that it's true, but adds that Irma cheated "long ago".  Now pissed, Paco then goes over to Araceli's and tells her not to ever include him in her crap again.  He knows that she is a two-timing scheming liar and he tells her that he supports Armando in the divorce.  Irma wants to know if Armando told him anything else.  Paco says no.

Back at Ripoll, Armando and Chava discuss how Irma's been telling everyone in that he's a bum who abandoned his family.  He tells him about his conversation with Paco.  As usual, Chava turns the conversation to Sophia.  He tells Armando all about his lunch with her and that Patrick saw them eating together.

Alexa and Irais' meeting is interrupted by a call from Fausto who reports Irma's visit.  Alexa rounds up her sisters and Chava drives them back to Snob Hill.  Everyone runs into Greta's room, but she asks to speak to Alexa only.  Once alone, Greta tells Alexa that Irma visited and she is very disappointed to learn that her daughter is a homewreckin' tramp.  She's making Nandito suffer by selfishly stealing his hot piece of man candy father.  Alexa says that that marriage was done long before she started desperately throwing herself at Armando.  Alexa insists that Irma broke up that relationship, but she doesn't say how or why.  Greta tells Alexa that she will learn that "everything has a price".  If Alexa does not break up with Armando, Greta will tell Sophia to give him a pink slip.

Later, Sophia tells Greta that it's not fair to Armando to fire him.  Greta says that he's gotta go.

Armando calls Nandito and offers to take him to his marshal arts class.  Nandito says that Irma will take him.  Irma grabs the phone and tells Armando that she and Nandito will survive without him.  Butt out of their lives.

At some point, Armando and Chava are talking.  Chava tells Armando that he drove all of the Ripoll girls home because Irma visited Greta today.

Armando returns home and yanks Irma into the bedroom in order for them to have a private screaming match. Armando demands to know why she visited Greta and why does she continue to run his name down around town.  She's the reason for their breakup, he says.  Irma says that she will say anything and do anything to get him to come home because she loves him.  Armando says that if she loves him, she would want him to be happy.  He is not happy with her.  If she wants war, she's got it.  He leaves.  She pushes everything off of the dresser and sinks to the floor in tears.

It's lunchtime at the Cruz residence.  Lupe tells Chava about the social worker's visit.  Since Javier is living there, she will not be able to use "abandonment" as the basis for the divorce.  She tells Chava that the doctor says that Javier will need a couple more days to mooch off of the family.

Chava visits Javier and tells him to get well and to get out.  Javier tells Chava that he never thought that Lupe would want to divorce him.  He knows that Chava hates his guts, but he's always wanted to be his son's hero.  Chava explains that when he was a child, he'd go behind the bars looking for his father.  He'd find him drunk with loose women and beg him to return home.  He'd beg him to come home because his mother needed him, but Javier wouldn't come.  Javier asks Chava for forgiveness.  He says that Chava is noble like Lupita.  Chava says that he would have loved to have heard this when he was a child.  Javier says that he will leave and not block the divorce.  He will get a job and a home nearby so that he can visit everyday.  Chava reluctantly agrees to give him another chance and hugs him.

Renzi and Patrick meet with Flor, who is one of Chava's ex-girlfriends.  Renzi introduces himself as a gumshoe named Ricardo Nunez.  Patrick is his client and his fake name is Marcos Gonzalez.  Flor hates Chava because he led her to believe that they were going to get married and then dumped her. Renzi hands her a brick of cash and there is much more where that came from.  She can make money and get revenge on Chava.  She's in!

Armando shows up at the Snob Hill and demands to speak to Greta.  Again, Fausto tries to block him.  He explains that Irma stopped by and his visit might kill her.  Alexa comes out and begs Armando to come back another day.  Greta appears at the top of the stairs and agrees to speak with him.  She, Alexa and Armando go into the office.  Greta asks Armando why he took advantage of her con-artist daughter.  Alexa defends him and says that he was the perfect gentleman; she chased him.  Armando admits that he loves Alexa.  Alexa is flattered and says that she loves him too.  Greta puts Alexa out of the room.

Once Alexa is gone, Armando takes the blame.  It's his fault for letting her hot daughter get into his pants heart.  He swears that she didn't break up his family by desperately throwing herself at him.  She wants to know why she should believe him.  He says that she should believe him because she knows him.  Greta is pleased to learn that her daughter isn't the tramp that she thinks she is.  Anyways, she tells him to stay away from Alexa or she will fire him.

Alexa walks Armando out.  He tells her that he loves her, but breaks up with her.  He shouldn't have gotten her involved into this mess with Irma.  Now she is the subject of gossip at work and her mom thinks she's a dumb floozy.  From now on, they are boss and employee only.  Alexa gets bummed.

In the middle of all this Sofia wears a backless-braless-filmy, see-through top to work and Greta doesn't bat an eye. Greta is another one they should not have rushed to the hospital so urgently. Going to be fun when her secrets manage to squirm out into the open. We don't really need these elaborate names for these Spanish Telenovelas. Just call them "Who's your Daddy 1" , 2, 3, and so on. :-) kj

Kirby, I am so looking forward to watching ALL of Greta's ugly secrets come out.

As for Irma: that uppity B****** needs to DIE.

Mr. B re Greta the Hun. I had seen Greta as a woman tormented her whole life by the mistakes of youth, IE Sofia's parentage. Now I am seeing a much more evil sinister, even vicious woman. I remember your musings about the death of Silvana's Mom and Octavio. Greta has all these secrets and probably more in a little box whose seams are bursting and she only has two hands. Can't wait for them (secrets) to begin escaping. I am going to feel sorry for the girls when it all starts seeping out. But NOT for her.

Cynderella, thank you! “Hot piece of man candy!” LOL but of course so true. My favorite thing about Armando is that he never seems to lose sight of the truth and has such a great grasp on it that he can explain it even to someone like Greta.

A number of unpleasant side plots. :-( The worst was Renzi’s poisonous stew he’s cooking up against Chava. I am not going to enjoy that. The girly tempest in a teapot at the Ripoll manse was kind of frilly and fun, though; I’m always up for girly silliness — and I really loved seeing Armando beat Irma’s lies to Greta.

I wish I could just FF the whole coming idiocy about Flor; unfortunately, they will probably include dialog in this sub plot, so I will have to listen. :-/ I have a rule that I can FF through stuff with no dialog or that doesn’t advance the story. Weddings, funerals, screaming, sobbing, fretting at hospitals — all FF fodder.

LOL Armando’s “pants’ heart.” Oh, well, we already knew it was too early for them to be happy and settle down. Now commences the conflict period of Armando and Alexa — and only after one night of love making. I guess it’s de rigueur to ponder now if they got pregnant after one try.

It seems the protection Daniela and Lucas employed did work after all, and turns out she was only fainting after missing two meals. Well, that’s the Televisa health plan.

It appears that Patrick & Renzi's plans to destroy Chava likely succeeds in the coming days & weeks.

I still don't trust Araceli either: shades of Maricela from PSMA.

Kirby, when Greta's secrets are exposed for everyone to see, the Ripoli girls will be super devastated.

But, the bigger question is who'll air the dirty laundry of Greta & Octavio for that matter ?
A.) Paco: he's got every right to be pissed off for 30 years.

B.) Silvana: seeing her mother dead on the floor has turned her into a vicious, sadistic woman.

C.) Wild-Card

Thanks Cynderella! There wasn't much to laugh about in this episode, but you still found a way to make us smile.

I really could muster up much sympathy for Alexa through all of this. She knew what she was getting herself into. If she really wants Armando and really loves him, then she will wait until he gets his house in order. The person I really feel bad for is Nandito, because Irma is twisting his mind and playing with his emotions. THAT'S who Armie should be laser focused on right now, not Alexa, Greta and the Ripoll drama.

Flor has crazy eyes. She just seems like some nutty stalker, he probably never even dated Chava. I hope Chava and his peeps are able to blow that stupid little plot right out of the water. And even if it's true that Chava dated her and never married her, so what?! People date and don't marry all the time. Couldn't the same be said of what Sofia is doing to Patricio? Even worse! She made a date to marry him and accepted his ring, and then just threw him to the curb. I don't see how she would have any right to get upset hearing that Chava didn't ask some girl he dated long ago to marry him. Pato and Renzi better pull an imaginary illegitimate child or something out of their pockets too.

Thanks, Cynderella , for yet another wonderful recap. Tonight is the night for the David Zepeda switcheroo! Should be fun.

Greta's daughters better quickly get to the point that they understand that Greta's recovery/health is not dependent on their choices. Great is responsible for her own reactions and health.

My favorite scene was Paco telling Irma off and affirming his trust in Armando.

It was interesting that Greta told Alexa that you end up paying for everything you do. Guess she should know.

Armando did the right thing breaking up with crazy Alexa especially since he is working for her family. He needs ro get his separation/divorce from crazy Irma settled first. Looks like the poor guy is stuck in the "crazies" cycle.

Vivi, yes Flor does have crazy eyes. It will be interesting to see what plot they cook up for her.

OH MY GOD: Irma has gotten on my LAST GODDAMN NERVES !

Cynderella, this was fabulous.

"Greta agrees that her daughter is a man stealing tramp, but she will handle this" and "he's making Nandito suffer by selfishly stealing his hot piece of man candy father" were excellent.

I was hysterical at Fausto's facial expressions while "welcoming" the unwanted guests, particularly Irma.

Matias is so sweet and obviously oblivious to the fact Silvana is not interested. Foolish, foolish girl.

Nothing about Flor rang true. I would highly suspect any past romances were minor and brief, aside from Araceli. Where have we seen that actress before?

Cynderella, this was great.

Diana

Vanessa Arias played Tonia, Braulio's wife in Abismo. She like Irma had a son about whose biological father she lied. Gattorno played Braulio and the three of them worked at Angelique Boyer's hacienda. Braulio left like Armando when he found out.

Thank you Jeri!

What a memory you have...

Diana

A memory for faces can work against you, like when I think I know people I only see in the 7-11...

So far, Chava's list of arch enemies include:
1.) Greta: because he's poor & wouldn't be shocked if she tells Patrick to bulldoze the Cruz family's & other neighbors' homes.

2.) Patrick

3.) Renzi

4.) Silvana

5.) Peralta: likely was involved in sabotaging Chava's racing car.

6.) Irma

7.) Araceli: this girl wants her property (Chava) back.

8.) Flor

Thanks, Cynderella. Great title.

ITA that Flor is loca. Even if she did have a thing with Chava, I'm betting he was only 16 at the time. Araceli seems to have been his only serious girlfriend as an adult.

Sofia, your mom is in no way involved in operating Ripoll. She wouldn't know a spreadsheet from a bedsheet. You shouldn't even argue with her about firing Armando, just tell her to butt out.

Flor's going to cause trouble for Chava in the next couple of days & likely weeks.

Expect more bitter ex girlfriends to come out of the woodwork.
