Hasta El Fin Del Mundo #79 12/5/14 Into and Out of the Vortex
Nobody gets to be a good-for-nothing layabout
in Lupe's house except me.
|
Wanna bet this isn't the only "big one" she's faked?
|
No wonder she believes them.
They look like two sad puppies at the dog pound.
|
Armando. Just because.
|
Personally Irma, I think you're nuttier than a fruitcake.
|
Well maybe I'll just call in my flying monkeys.
|
If Chava and I were together we could adopt this kid.
|
If she knew his dad is an evil mastermind
would he be 'bad boy' enough for her?
|
Mariachi: noun; a musician in an elaborately embellished outfit
who strolls around playing a stringed instrument while singing off key.
|
Wait... that is NOT what I said.
|
We went to bed, his wife beat me up and then he dumps me?
|
Irais gets a little taste of Matias.
|
That's the most action I've seen this whole TN!

"Into and Out of the Vortex" was wonderful. "Greta works herself into another gasping, chest clutching frenzy"; "Armando. Just because", "Greta badgers Sofia about why she's giving up a dream son-in-law like Pato for a fantasy with that miscreant Salvador" were great.
Loved the Redd Fox/Fred Sanford image threatening to join his Elizabeth. By faking her chest pains, Greta is really wandering into irredeemable territory. Now, there really is nothing in the least bit likeable about her.
I also thoroughly enjoyed the singing but it didn't seem like Jade was actually singing so I am not convinced it was her.
I realize you really like Pedro and I know I would feel the same if my telenovio Eduardo Yanez had been in the same situation. You handled this with style: "Chava 2.0 Wait, this is an upgrade?" was my favorite.
"That's the most action I've seen this whole TN!" I'm delighted Matias will hopefully be getting a storyline rather than the few pitiful lines and "cameo" appearances. I hope he and Irais had as much fun doing their scenes as we did watching them.
Xint, the day is looking much brighter thanks to you...
Diana
Fred Sanford indeed! Loved it!
Sorry guys, but I have to disagree about the musical interlude. To me, the whole Dani/Oliver singing/playing thing just looked/sounded fakey and badly produced. They should have skipped it. Cheesy!
Cynderella, who would have you cast for Chava?

I love recaps with small screenshots, I always show them to my friends, who follows Hasta or I tell for her what happens in the TN, and we laugh together on the funny heads/scenes/subtitle.

I stopped in to watch this TN on Friday because I wanted to see how they handled the new and improved Chava...then...I FELL ASLEEP!
You always make me laugh, xlnt.
AlejoPIt's good to see you, amigo. :))
Question: So, they are just going to pretend that nothing ever happened to the original Chava for him to have this new and improved "luke"?
Fatima
Thanks. :)
Where DZ goes, I also go there and now it is the Uni. :-)
Unfortunately, it is not my favorite TN, I don't like so much, but here are your recaps, and those make more enjoyable the show for me than it is really. :-)
Actors's ages: Zepeda 41; Fernândez 45 and just for discussion Olivera 46. Eventhough Zepeda seems more youthful than Fernández, I would have liked to have seen a much younger actor maybe mid-thirties in the Chava role. Is there a lack of leading men in their thirties? I have only been watching for 2 1/2 years and don't have much knowledge of the actors/acresses in the genre.

Other current leading men:
Eduardo Yanez- 54
Fernando Colugna-48
Jorge Salina-46
Christian Meier (La Malquerida)- 44
Jaime Camil (Pobres)-41
Cristina de la Fuente (Quiero Amarte)-40
Sebastian Rulli (Robo)-39
Gabriel Soto-39
Daniel Arenas (La Gata)-35
William Levy- 34
Mane de la Parra (La Malquerida)-31
Osvaldo de Leon (La Malquerida)-30
Juan Diego Covarrubias (DQTQTQ)- 27
Brandon Peniche (La Malquerida)-27

You are correct, our wonderful recappers always write a better story!
Maybe they will put in some subtitles that say: "The role of Chava is now being played by David Zepeda". They used to do that in the American soap operas. Guess no one really worried about it, but if we didn't have the internet with all of the chismes, the galan switcheroo could have been a huge surprise.
To me, sorry to say, Pedro just isn't galan material. I think Cynderella would agree with me on that count.
Fatima
Diego as Chava and Julio as Armando - excellent. And I agree Pedro as Matias would have worked perfectly.
Vivi, thank you for your list...I always get a kick out of the fact Eduardo (my fav) is older than Arturo Peniche and Cesar Evora yet he always gets cast in roles that could easily go to younger actors. Not that I am complaining :)
I think Diego as Chava would have been perfect! He's a dreamboat in my book. He and Jorge Salinas are tied for 1st place as my fave dreamboats.
:)

No wonder she believes them. They look like two sad puppies at the dog pound.
Well maybe I'll just call in my flying monkeys.
I’m a Pedro fan, but DZ made a fine entrance. I’ve never seen DZ play a blue-collar guy, so it’s interesting to see him dressed down and affecting a down-home barrio voice.
So glad to see Matias’s story stepping up. Silvana’s got some nerve being jealous of him with Irais after the way she always dissed him. My favorite scene was Irais clamping down on Matias’s fingers.
Silvana: you made your bed with Patrick & you're going to lie in it !
That was the perfect perplexed Alexa picture to put with the perfect caption: "We went to bed, his wife beat me up and then he dumps me?"
I notice they always try to balance Greta's heinous side with a tiny cameo her softer side; it's still working for me, but it's close.
Greta's manipulations are so obvious they are more hilarious than effective. I guess the story just needs her to bring pressure right now. She's pretty good at remorse; maybe she can make us believe when she sees the light.
I miss the theme songs; I bought about 10 Pedro Fernández CD's in the last month -- and the souvenir DVD from Dinero.
Can't wait for all of the dirty secrets to be exposed for everyone to see!
"muscular morsle counterpart" made me smile.
Diana
Vivi, Some of those actors are much older than I thought they were. I did not think Rulli was 39.
Anonymous @ 10:28, Your husband had the same reaction I had. Zepeda's voice is awful. Pedro's Chava did have good mother/son chemistry with Lupe'. Zepeda is much too perfect to be the spawn of Javier.
If anyone is looking for eye-candy, I've watched the first four episodes of Tierra de Reyes on Telemundo. The main characters are three brothers who are construction workers. So far there have been a few (very) minor accidents that resulted in the male leads taking their shirts off for first aid - you know, sponging off the wound and putting on a Band-Aid.
Aaron Diaz must be one of the Reyes. He had a guest spot in the mid-century drama, "Pan Am," some years ago where he looked dreamy -- better than telenovelas. This sounds interesting. Thanks!

Features a bunch of actors from their novelas (a number of which haven't aired in US yet) dancing and lip-synching to "La vida es mejor cantando."
Includes full legion from Hasta el fin del mundo. Some noticeable cropping and editing to removed Pedro Fernandez from the Hasta el fin del mundo sections.
Keeping all the casts together on set and in costume did make everybody easier to recognize; in the past promos sometimes I wonder if I actually recognize everybody and involve some guesswork, especially when they feature quick cutting.
1,I don't feel the Christmas feeling
2,I am not a Pedro fan, but why did Televisa cut him? I think the healt problem is not a ground for refusal. Or why didn't they plan this scene with DZ, and they shouldn't used this method:

3, Where is Quiero amarte, Por siempre mi amor, and Que pobres tan ricos cast?
Please let us know!
There are also a number of inserts on a blue set that were probably filmed much later that fill in some missing faces or late cast additions: David Zepeda, Arturo Peniche, Alejandra Barros, Carlos de la Mota, Diana Bracho with Ana Martin, a fairly random pairing of Daniela Romo with Ingrid Martz.
Not sure, but I believe I also see Rebecca Jones looking very slim. She's doing one for Televisa/Univision next year.
Alexis Ayala is one of the only actors to show up with two casts. He is in the Lo que la vida me robo sections and the La sombra del pasado sections. And talk about staying in character - notice his character in that one is missing an arm.
It makes me wonder if Televisa has sold enough telenovelas to countries that don't celebrate Christmas that it is changing it's approach with those.
