Mi Corazon es tuyo #106, Sarai gets a taste of the 'hell week', Lasc twins version. Fernando takes Diego to Houston. New kids Dr Angel happens to know Soledad so he responds to Fernie's ad, but Isa reads it first.

A: Thank you for the flattering compliments… and like I said, time helps to heal the wounds… (he gives her a bear hug) ah no, no, no! … don’t get so ahead of yourself (no se emocione tanto!) no, sir, it’s a long way still for the wounds to heal.
F: Yes. I’m sorry.
(he goes for the divorce papers to show her)… she says he has a toothpaste commercial smile on his face
F: I want you to see this.
A: this is… the… divorce sentence.
F: Yes. This document says Isa and I are officially divorced…
A: (jumps to hug him) Ah, blessed be God!! Blessed be God!! Don Fernando! How wonderful, sir!!
F: Finally a chapter in our lives is closed… (he gives her a bear hug, she complains she can’t breathe) … sorry. Don’t get away from me…
A: No, sir. This can’t be.
F: (they are leaning on his desk in the library/study) nothing’s easy. I know. But in this spot… in this spot began our love story… in this spot you hit my nose, remember?... and I saw your beautiful face for the first time… another day we dared to kiss… don’t get away from me anymore, Ana… let me show you how much I love you… (they are about a hair away lips to lips)

They are about to kiss… when suddenly a girl scream is heard… Both Ana and Fernando are willing to ignore it at first… we hear Ana say ‘it is no big deal, its no big deal’ and they both are about to kiss again but a second later Ana gives a huge sigh and pushes him away and starts shouting ‘what is the matter?? What??!!’ then they both run out.
The issue turned out to be Siete slurping the new girl (forgot her name) in front of Luz and the twins (from their face I can tell they woke up to her screams and are not happy campers for her waking them up like that). (where’s Alicia??) A minute later Ana, Fer, Fanny, Nando, Alicia are in the room as well and they all are in around her bed. Turns out the twins had put pieces of ham slice over Sarai’s face so that Siete would slurp her. The twins and Luz go fetch Sebas but as soon as he learns who is screaming he runs to her side. Nando and Fanny find it both annoying and funny that Sarai is so annoyed at Siete slurping her. Fernando eventually brings back the peace… they send Sarai to the bathroom to clean up.
Ana decides it’s a good time they all plan some kind of farewell celebration since Diego is heading to Houston with Fernando for Diego’s treatment. (why did Ana call Fernando Mr Toad??, he put on a very funny face when she did).
At the office next morning… Leon is sleeping in the office. The manager comes in and finds him sleeping. He apologizes. He is surprised it is 9am. He had finished the work for her. He shows her his work. She loves it, best design she has seen in a long time. They only need the VP’s approval but it is wonderful! He gets a congrat hug.
Nico and Ana talk in his room. Ana is sad that her friend has cried long and hard. Nico has also suffered. He does not want to be a burden for Jen. He is old, cannot give her the child she wants, he made a mistake in getting in the relationship. She has many years ahead… he can’t hold her at his side. Ana rebutes that if she stayed at his side is because she loves him. Nico says love is not always synonym of happiness. Look at your story with Fernando. Ana says he helped Jen get over her hatred of men. She is very happy and in love with him. Nico insists Ana help him in making Jen understand his reasons. Ana refuses to help him because she is not on the same side.
Edith, old style… Fanny tries to give her the speech about the outside not reflecting the inside always. Sometimes its not easy to see what’s inside from the outside appearances. Fanny encourages Edith to tell Nando the truth before he gets more enthused with ‘Elisa’. Nando comes in. Nando tells them he is dressed up because he is about to invite Elisa to go out. Nando intentionally is leaning right behind Edith while he explains his plans. He notices Elisa had a purse just like Edith’s. What coincidence. Edith admits to Nando that she is ‘Elisa’. Nando plays confused. Even fakes being offended, or maybe half fakes it… he walks away saying Edith betrayed him. Edith gets real upset. Fanny hugs her for support.
Suddenly we are at Houston. Diego thanks Fernando. The doctors come in. they are both Dr Kovac, they are brothers… (just like the guys across the table lol).
(MY dvdr was acting up but I know from the mex summaries that the family played a ‘shark rap’ for Diego as goodbye act… also that a while later, after Fernando and Diego were already gone, Luz got sick and had a very high fever so Ana took her to the doctor. Leon visited the Lasc house and brought Mau with him so Mau got to meet the rest of the kids. )
Ana brings Luz to the doctor… turns out it is Jorge Aravena, introduces himself as Dr Angel(this guy also knows Soledad, per a section I missed tonight). He is confused about so many records of ‘Lasc’ kids. He notices the nick ‘the clones’. The twins need a booster shot round. He needs the twins to come in asap. Ana needs to tell Fernando. He is clearly smitten by Ana. She is a bit too, and he ends up using a bit of magic putting some fortune cookies in Ana’s hand as they shake hands goodbye. As Ana leaves with Luz, he says to himself that Ana is very pleasant and beautiful.
Isa with YoMama. Isa is still insulting and mocking YoMama. Isa says she needs to watch for email for Fernando about Ana’s mom. She needs to open any email before Fernando gets to it.
Back at the Lasc house… Nando and Edith have made up. Even kissed. Edith asks Nando what he does NOT like about her. ‘Chin-Cham-poo!’ (sort of the Spanish version of rock paper scissors). She says she does not like his hair and with her hand she messes it up. She suggests they take the tons of gel off his hair. He says then it will be my turn and I can do whatever I want. Deal, says Edith.
YoMama tells Isa she is praying a lot for Isa since she does not agree with what Isa is doing with Ana’s mom. Ana has been looking for her mom all her life. Isa nags at her that YoMama herself taught Isa to be cold and calculating and to do anything and go over anyone to achieve her goals. Isa can’t wait, says Ana is not even close to figuring what Isa is doing against her.
Leon and Fanny are cuddling in the couch. Fanny is proud for Leon. Leon says only one problem, they need to show the design to the VP, none other than Isa. Leon asked Perla not to tell Isa that the design is his.
Ana and Luz arrive home. Luz says the Doctor gave her a paper flower. And a fortune cookie. Ana needs to talk to Fanny. Leon stays with Luz. Mau is sleeping on the couch by Leon.
Ana tells Fanny she has to go dance at the Chicago, but she has to give Luz the antibiotic. Fanny says no problem, I will take care of it. Ana feels better, but still gives Fanny Angel’s (the new ped doctor) phone number.
In Houston, Fernando is telling Diego and Natalia all about his plans to reconquer Ana. Fernando is even willing to disguise himself to show Ana how much he loves her. Diego insists Fernando does not need to go far out of his way, they are both shot with the arrow by cupid. Fernando tells them he has not got any good clue about Ana’s mom. Then they talk about Natalia and how she fell in love with Diego.
Isa nags about the noise coming from the upstairs apt, Yomama is thanking the Gods for annoying Isa. Isa is heading to see DoroTeo who is Yomama’s idol. Isa leaves YoMama saying she is disappointed at Pancho Villa.
Angel Altamirano (yeah the ped doctor) finds the ad that Nando put out for Soledad Fuentes. He responds to the ad sending an email about where Soledad is (town called El Oro) and what she does (direct a childrens choir). Isa receives the email and is jumping for joy ‘I found Soledad Fuentes!!’
Previews: Isa implements her plan to deceive Soledad and also Isa goes to the Chicago and seems to find out that Ana is the dancer there.

I refuse to believe that he can get away long with his kind of white slavery. Ana needs to get out of there and Fernando needs to help her. That is when he will get his brain cells back in order to help fight Hissabela.

It may be a good thing that I'm not a parent because little Sarai would have gotten one from me for being such a drama queen about the dog. We're stuck with this brat for a while and maybe until the end of the series, so I hope we get to see what kind of a piece of work her mother is.

Now Osorio has added a little, rich, spoiled, germaphobic, snotty kid; in addition to super annoying, failed 'jack-of-all-trades Johnny; child abuser, animal assasin Isabruja; crazed, terrible (no voice), opera enthusiast IkkyLizard; zombie, extraterrestrial Manuela; etc., etc.

Osorio is carrying over so many actors/themes from PEAM that is starting to become super annoying.
Just don't know if I can hang on until the end for another 80+ episodes. The recaps and great recap team might just be my salvation.

Sarai's sudden appearance reminds me of those American sitcoms that, when their ratings start to fall, they add a kid. An orphan, a long lost twin, anything. It just feels like a feeble plot ploy and not usually a successful one. Maybe Sarai she will be adopted by Nico and Jenn if something happens to her mother!

I guess I am among the few who are really enjoying Saraí and even her screaming. Luz's repetitive "achoo" perfect sneezing was funny, too.
Victoria, yes, this is PEAM heavy with Jorge Avena, Carmen Salinas, and now Saraí: María José Mariscal. I like all three.
My favorite part was the "mago" (magician) Dr. Ángel visit. He was so charming.
I sure would like to see Yolanda find some rich guy and leave Isabela behind in her dust. Isabela actually called her "Yolandota" in her insultng tirade.

I'm hanging by a thread with this show, it has become so boring and repetitive. I've been so busy with work that I rarely have the time to watch anymore.
The show is still doing great in Mexico (rating wise) so I think they added the new character only to increase the number of episodes.
I'm not bothered by the new girl, tns always bring new characters mid way through the story.
The only thing that truly bothers me and is such a turn off that I'm only watching now for the recaps (all of yours and the ones I have to write) is the fact that we've seen no romance between the leads. A few kisses in 100 episodes? Seriously?
I appreciate that Ana is making Fer work for it, but, OMG, this is dragging...
They should just get married and continue the story with them as a couple - others shows have dome it (Carita de Angel comes to mind) and were better for it.

Agree that the entrance of Sarai is Part II of trying to instill some new characters as plots for original ones are dying on the grapevine. It feels like we are getting closer to losing Diego any time now. I just don't see where they can go with him anymore. Guesses he goes off and comes back for ultimates.
Tired of the Nico/Jen run around. needs to sit him down or see if his behavior has more to do with the possible depression. Not uncommon in those who have been through major heart trauma, Carlos...possible? I had two uncles who had major bypass surgeries that went through that. Otherwise, if that's not the issue, and these writers are just being aggravating, let Jen just move on but lord help us, NOT with Johny. Woman has been through enough.
I'm in the minority I know, but I still am no fan of Yomama's attitude. She calmly sits and has her nails done as her daughter rails on about destroying people. A good slap up the head would be better or maybe snitching to the hurt parties if she wants to win me over. I think she's as bad as her daughter by doing nothing.
I'm all in on Dr. Angel. Too bad we know he'll lose already in the win Ana dept. How about Jen...loves kids, sweet guy, I could see that.
Now, did I jump for joy having my ultimate cuteness moment with Mau and Luz. So ok, Luz would be a little cougar, but those two are meant to be. Though poor little guy who is sleeping awkwardly on the couch (Pillow anyone--that couch arm had to be hard).
Not a fan of this stupid Chicago plot. So now Isa will see her...but you know what? I actually got aggravated that with Fer out of the country and Luz sick (not seriously but still....) Ana is taking off to dance. She needs to just stop and come clean. Now Isa sees her or are we being duped by the preview?

Oddly, I woke up this morning thinking about this tn's PSAs and the irony of having a pregnant woman mix rat poison with her bare hands and a nanny identify rat poison in a dog's food bowl, place it on a kitchen table, and run to the vet without warning Manuela, la cocinera, about it being in such close proximity to food. Geeeez. I know. I need to put on a beanie . . .

Oddly, I woke up this morning thinking about this tn's PSAs and the irony of having a pregnant woman mix rat poison with her bare hands and a nanny identify rat poison in a dog's food bowl, place it on a kitchen table, and run to the vet without warning Manuela, la cocinera, about it being in such close proximity to food. Geeeez. I know. I need to put on a beanie . . .

No, it's not you. I don't think he is that into her.
Diego has not thought through what he needs in a woman. He isn't one to do a M-F job and come home to dealing with children. He's not like Fernando, but thus far he's been strongly attracted to two women who are Fernando's type of woman: Maternal, managerial, and emotional. Probably like their mother was.
Diego needs to face his issues about women. He has compared himself with Sebastian because his mother died when he was the same age and he has the same age difference with Fernando that Sebas has with Nando. I think Diego felt abandoned when his mother died so he is attracted to women who are emotionally like she was. However, he isn't like his brother so a relationship with such a woman is doomed to failure. He either had to rearrange his own life priorities or fall for a woman who has the same ones. Natalia is such a woman, but this hasn't worked for him before.
Now his main issue is going to be to regain the use of his hands. It's not the time for him to worry about his love life. That will have to wait until he can function professionally again.
And no, I am not related to Freud. ;)

Thank you Marta and UA for yesterday's recap. Even as the novela gets a little more crazy, the recappers and the group make it fun.
I was glad to see Edith and Nando together -- very cute and a possible long-term misunderstanding averted.
The rap was cute but it all makes me long for Maria and the children singing a sweet song from the SOM. I was glad to see Manuela singing and dancing a bit -- a sign of reentry to Earth.
Jorge is adorable but I am so ready for our real lovebirds to make it official that it just seems wrong to have him in the mix now.

I am no fan of rap, but if they started doing anything that vaguely sounds like The Sound of Music I'd go running for the exit with my hands over my ears.
Points I didn't previously address:
Zerobela doesn't care enough about the baby to even think about what it meant to handle the poison with her bare hands. Manuela is still too spaced out to think about the issue of the poison being near food, but then again, since rats would head to the kitchen for food, the poison would be placed in some kitchen areas.
I'd rather see Manuela as she used to be. Over the top, but in control of her mental faculties.
And while I find the kids' rap annoying at times, I love that Siete participates.

Well it looks like Isa is about to hold all of the cards. She knows where Ana's mama is and now, that Ana works at Chicago. Let the games begin.

I think the reason the Diego/Natalia relationship isn't quite working is because the writers planned to have much more time to build that relationship but with PM getting the boot, they have had to drop it and just push them together.

I'm not going anywhere and I took note of the conversation in Houston at dinner between Diego, Fernando & Natalia. Diego pointed out Fernando & Ana never had a courtship, they just fell for each other, so I expect Fernando may now attempt.
I so want someone (not Jonny) to come and sweep Jenny off her feet and away from Nic. He just brushed off, it was he that pursued Jenny, as another of his infamous "mistakes". Ooops. He doesn't really care about her feelings and just wants her to go away and not be reminded.

I agree, Diego isn't that into Nat, but how many times have we seen the second fiddle guy "settle" for a lovely young woman who comes along that is devoted to him so he figures that's all he will be able to get in life. Diego may be a little clueless to what he really would need in a partner for life, but from his viewpoint he fell hard for two women and lost both. At this point, I think he looks at Nat as someone who he does like very much, who understands him and his work and who he can look on as a friend as well. He may feel that's the cards life has dealt him.
As for Jorge in PEAM, it was noted from a lot of sources that his sudden departure at that time was more due to Colunga wanting him off set than Osorio. Somebody needs to stop Doroteo. He needs to be wiped off the face of the earth.
I refuse to believe that he can get away long with his kind of white slavery. Ana needs to get out of there and Fernando needs to help her. That is when he will get his brain cells back in order to help fight Hissabela.

I wasn't going to abandon ship. I enjoy a lot about this novela. We have seen many novelas extended way beyond their best selves, but if the pace picks up after the lulls and there is a payoff at the end, it's generally well worth it.

I think "Los Dueños del Paraíso" is set to begin right after the first of the year, not in December; at least that's what I read online today.
I'm hanging in even though I HATE the added crap just because it WAS popular in Mex. But hey, I've seen a LOT worse, think FELS & CI.
I gave up Los Mis for this. At least I can catch Los Mis online (if I feel like it).

My husband had a quadruple bypass years ago and really went through a period of depression, so I can understand Nico. What I don't like is him thinking he knows what is best for Jens.

Oh, the Herederos Del Monte. The title kept making me think of a can of peaches. Anyway I really, really disliked Marlena Favela in that but there were some interesting ensemble characters...like all the brothers!
