Mi Corazon Es Tuyo #113: Time For The Golden Parachute!
While Don Fernando is telling Ana the details of Isabela. aka, IsaBlanca’s deception of Soledad, Nico calls Johnny into the library for a serious chat. He’s leaving for Switzerland to check up on Diego’s progress, but also to put some distance between him and Jennifer. He will leave Jens her own ample bank account, and he won’t be telling her good-bye personally. Don Nicolas wants Johnny to take care of her and “to make her very happy.” Johnny doesn’t feel comfortable about this. Knowing Johnny, neither does Viewerville.
Back in the kitchen, the kids dance and sing for Soledad. She’s going to love coaching them in singing just the same as she does with her children’s choir. Don Nico tells the kids about his plans to see their uncle in Switzerland. When he returns, hopefully he’ll be with Diego.
Isagritch gets a rush call to get to the office fast for an important bidnez meeting.
A bit later In the library, over coffee and cookies, Sole chats with DF about his true feelings for Ana and why the two of them aren’t a couple at this point. She encourages him to keep up the good fight because she knows that Ana does truly love him.
Ana pays a quick visit to Pissybela at the office first thing once the kids are off to school to let her know that she’s fully aware of how Hissybela tricked her mama. Isabitch laughs at her, obviously pleased at how successful the ruse was. Ana fights the urge to wrap the treacherous trull’s long tresses around her tonsils and yank. She settles for letting her know that once Hissy’s baby is born all bets are off. She’d better not mess with Ana’s brood—and that includes Siete!—or there’ll be hell and a half to pay!
The reason Isa raced into work that morning is that Enrique is costing La Costeña una costilla by running the company into the ground and the head financial officer now has to call a board meeting to explain what’s been happening to the P&L since Don Ferd left. She and the Fin. Ofcr. Commiserate and agree that Reeky is rotten and needs to be out on his lacking assets, and that DF was organized and had the self-discipline to keep the La Costeña ship ship-shape. Sounds like it’s time for a pursuit of the golden parachute route.
Isa tries reasoning with the weirded out warbler of Seville, racing after him all the way to his apartment. She threatens him with getting him thrown out of his position as interim president due to his shirking of his responsibilities. What does it matter, he asks her. Since when did she care a whit about DF’s company, anyway? Since she decided she wants real responsibility and to work for a living—not to mention the power she can wield while there-- rather than living off her ex’s charity. That’s when! Reeky looks as if he may want to pull another taco stand counterstrike.
Meanwhile, Ana visits Jen’s at their house in the barrio. Johnny walks in on the two of them and lets the Nico news out of the bag. This wrecks Jen’s day completely--uhhhhgainnnnnn.
Dr. Angel of Mercy gets a phone call from Daniela Romo inviting him to a performance that evening. He gets three tickets and invites Sole and Ana.
Edith meets up with Fanny at the college library and mentions that she and Nando discussed her “problem” and that he was very understanding about it all. Fanny takes a call from Leon while Lenin is giving her and Edith grief. Edith reminds him again that he’s got no chance with her.
Fernando tells Sole that he wants to have a life with Ana and to make her happy.
Johnny tells Ana that Don Nico feels like Death is breathing down his neck and is sacrificing himself for her happiness. (How Johnny fits into that scenario still escapes the majority of Viewerville.) Johnny wants to be worthy of Jens cuz he does still love her.
Ana gets permission from DF to attend the performance with Sole and El Médico de Mago.
Seb and Sarai hang out together learning to dance. Don F chats with the kids and determines that he and Ana will take ballroom dance lessons together—as a good way to get closer, we assume.
And for a superb finish to a rather blah episodio, we are serenaded by La Dama Romo who, in all these years, hasn’t lost a bit of the brilliance that originally won her claim to fame.

yeah that coo-coo of Seville needs to get coo-coo'ed out. and seems Isa is up to the task in the previews...
Loved Fernando's googoo gaagaa face as seing Ana all dressed up for the DR intimate concert... that was a great face on JS... and he could not hide it from the boys who were giggling about it.
Nice for Fer to not pull the jealousy card since Ana and Sole were going with Angel... i bet he wished he could go along.
and yes, DR was a real treat... she has not lost one hair of talent from her bout with cancer of the recent years.
I translated some lines that i believe apply the most to Ana.

Thanks for this sharp and witty recap. Pleasant episode on the home front, with lots of indications of new plot turns to come in the coming weeks. I just hope that someone can get Manuela to speak up!
Thanks, Marta, to you for the lyrics. A lovely, heartfelt song so beautifully performed . . . even with Ana's yelling.
I have to say again that these adult actors deserve kudos for working so well with the child actors. Some are so young that there have to be frustrations and a generous spirit to allow them to constantly steal the show. Even little Sarai is turning into a winner. Whatever my frustrations with some of the plot turns, I find the family scenes generally appealing and the kids just terrific.
Highlights:
Ana giving Isabela the poke in the forehead.
Fernando telling Nico he is a coward for not looking Jennifer in the eye and saying "good bye" before he goes to Switzerland.
So, Fernando wants to take dance classes with Ana to add proof to the fact that he has changed. Just makes Ana's deceit worse and worse. I understand her fear but at this point the odds are less and less in her favor as Fernando does more and more for her.

I know I've said it before, but if Fernando is willing to accept Soledad after she did time for killing someone and may do something for her considering the circumstances of the crime, it would be insane for him to be judgmental of Ana for dancing in a club. He will not like that she kept it from him, so let's hope that this revelation doesn't coincide with the birth of Isabitch's hellspawn.
He does seem to not have forgotten what she's done to his children and what she almost did to Siete. Let's also hope that the police find something to hang on Enfrique, who appears now to be going off the deep end. I don't like the idea of Fernando going back to the office yet because he'll have to deal with Hissabela all the time, but something will have to happen.
I can easily see Fernando suing for custody before it's all over only to find out that Enfrique is the sperm donor.
I hope we meet Sarai's parents soon and that Fernando and Ana can knock some sense into them.
Finally, Nick will be a lot safer in Europe for the moment even if he is going for a boneheaded reason.
I LOVED Ana doing the "Graciela Poke" to Isawitch. I'll bet the actors were both laughing after that scene. :)
Even better that Fer told Nico the truth and called him a coward. That comment was well deserved.
martaivett I cannot thank you enough for giving us the lyrics to that song. I am going to see if I can find it today to purchase. Didn't DR look just fantastic! The song almost made me cry as all I could think about was all that DR has been through with her breast cancer. I know that her long beautiful hair has always been her trademark, so I was very happy to see her beautiful hair. It suits her to a "T".
Angel's smile and Fer's smile ar both to die for. Those men would win my heart a million times over with their smile alone. When they both smile, it brings out their already handsome features even more. Ay, Jorge!

What an absolute coward Nico is. Honestly, he could have just said he was visiting Diego and not all this crap to Johnny handing his wife over to who HE THINKS should take care of her. And not saying goodbye to his wife...Fer should have set him straight on how that would make Jen feel, etc. But hen he's still learning too, so....
Ironic the idea of dance lessons. Who will be the teacher...someone that knows Ana from Chicago? I mean this has to come out NOW and be done.
Marta, thanks for the words to that lovely song. Mr word, DR sounded amazing. But why the hell does Ana still have to scream during performances...I'm sorry, she's old enough that she has to know that's wrong and frankly to the performer, rude. I guess all she knows is being heckled at the club and thinks that's what people want? Ah...no.
I find the words very interesting...someone who loves me for what I am? Is that some sort of for-shadowing that Fer won't when he learns the real truth?
My kitty pretty well trashed the tree last night while we slept, so back to packing up the ornaments. One way to enjoy a day off :)

-What did I miss that totally changed Sarai into one of the family? Was expecting her to have some heart-to-heart talks with Ana (maybe I missed it). Still don't like the idea of her and Sebas "hooking up".
-Someone else said that heart surgery can really change a person mentally---Nico is sure acting like an idiot lately.
-Has Jenny been borrowing tops from Luz' dresser the last few days? I hope she meets Angel-they would be a good match.
Was I the only one to catch Sebastian wink at Serai when they saw each other in the morning? Barf-o-matic!!! He's 11!!!
The previews had Isabela telling Enrique that he's the father of the baby.
Is anyone starting to think there is something wrong with the water at that house?? at first Ana only had to deal with the emotional and social issues of Fernando's kids... but now it is all four older kids bringing in other kids their age or close to their age also with emotional and social issues of their own that now Ana and Fernando as a team need to deal with... please!!! how much is too much for Ana to deal with? she is reading on paternity psychology books... but she also is trying to learn math and english while at it... do we have to add on to her load of 'accountability'?
Fanny with Ximena, Laura and Edith
Nando with Ximena, Laura and Edith
Alicia with Pablo and her own self-image issues.
Sebas with Sarai...(ok, it was Fernando who brought her in)
the only healthy age-appropriate friendly relationship seems to be Mau and Luz... (the youngest??!!!)

Agree, Nic is a ......, never liked him
Daisynjay, the songs lyrics I'm afraid do portend what's to come.
Glad Fernando didn't go jealous (no reason for him to think anything now) but that was the first date for Angel and Ana, mama was the tag along. Angel already made his move. Smooth
Soledad's incarceration is in the past and she is not the nanny nor the love of Fernando's life. Ana's deceit is not some mistake or behavior in the past 20 years ago but what she is doing today at 35. The provocative dancing for men and the lying. I understand she wouldn't want the smaller kids to know what she does for men on the side but if she really did love Fernando, and wasn't a coward like Nic, she'd be honest with the guy. They're gonna make Fernando out to be some neanderthal because he cannot accept the nanny (and the woman he wants to marry and start a family with) dancing at a gentlemens club but everyone else in the world thinks it fine. I'm not buying it.
Under the heading of All Things Considered, Ana has excellent reason to be afraid of his reaction. He's already been accused of adultery in the business press; this revelation could make that come back with a vengeance.
With La Costena's falling profits shown in last night's episode, this could make things exponentially worse. The only positive is now Isabitch was shown to be exactly that, so she doesn't get the prize either.

I hope Fernando ponies up for a lesson from an actual ballroom instructor. From the previews, it looked like he was teaching Ana himself. Fernando might know a basic box step in the waltz, minus the rise and fall and brushing of the feet, not much better than Sebas at hip hop. Just an excuse to get Ana close to him.
Wouldn't it be great if we had a another cameo here -- from one of the actors who can really dance -- Cristian de la Fuente or William Levy?
I thought Ricky wanted to run the company into the ground initially or was it just to replace Fernando and he really cannot do the job?
Ana did ruin the show for everyone in that room that paid. Her tickets were free.
Why in the world did Nico marry Jen and then decide he was too old for her? Didn't it ever occur to him when they were dating? And to choose Jonny of all the creeps for her. He's a jerk!! No fool like an old fool.
Maybe Angel will step up to the plate??
