♥ Mi Corazón es Tuyo ♥ #115, Lunes 12/29/14: ♥Confessions♥

Dispensing with refritos...

Hospital: While Ana, Soledad, and Fernando prepared to leave for El Oro, leaving Bruno in charge of the children, Torres told Hissabela the news about Enrique being in a coma.
She either didn't quite believe it or got very nervous, wanting to know how long this would last. He said it could be hours... or years. Then he excused himself so he could call Fernando with the update.
As soon as he was away from las brujas Hissabela grinned. Yomama realized that the unconscious can't talk but ...that the second Enrique regained consciousness he'd be boasting to Fernando about the baby being his and all hell would break loose.
This increased Isabrat's impatience and she got on Yomama's case about being negative about this. Yomama pointed out the irony of this: She herself had married someone with money, Isabruja got herself involved with a crazy cad. She rambled on that instead of being comfortable and serene in a mansion they're sitting in a hospital reception area hoping that the cad will die “...and you say I'm being negative?”.

El Oro: Soledad showed Ana and Fernando her house, but only the exterior.

University: Fanny was almost falling asleep after studying all night. The professor ordered Edith to go to her seat and announced that they had two hours to complete the exam.

El Oro: Soledad showed Ana and Fernando the Teatro Juarez, where she instructs the children.

Hospital: Isabruja decided to go to the office and ended up arguing with Yomama again, who decided to leave rather than listen to her daughter's nonsense.
Just as she was out of the area, Angel entered and bumped into Hissabela, who started getting petulant about being pregnant until she saw his face and simultaneously got his apology. She liked what she saw. She liked it even more when he introduced himself and told her he was a pediatrician. She asked whether he could attend her baby when it was born and he handed her a business card before excusing himself to tend to his patient. She told him of course, and he exited. She definitely had peso signs in her eyes.

Teatro Juarez: The stage drapes opened and Beto conducted the children in the lullaby in Ana's memory. Flashbacks of baby Ana and then the reunion.

Soledad began singing along with her proteges. Ana and Soledad quietly began to cry. Soledad stepped up to the stage. Beto told her he missed her and she told him she is the happiest woman in the universe at her daughter's side. Ana apologised to Fernando for crying, but all was well with him and how he saw this.
Two of the girls delivered a large arrangement of roses.

Do you think Beto is in love with Soledad?” asked Hera.

Looks that way to me,” said Aphrodite. “But I think he's a little young for her.”

University: The exam over, the students handed in their papers and left. Fanny was last and unsure that she had studied adequately as the prof took the papers away from her. Lenin came after her again with his usual know-it-all manner, which has begun to irritate Fanny a little.

Teatro Juarez: Fernando told Ana he needed to call Torres for an update. He told Ana about Enrique being in a coma.

University: Lenin told Fanny he was being a jerk because he was trying to get her to think about changing society. He liked her work at the house of mercy.
He then moved in closer to explain “Me guste. I don't want to lose you before I've had you.” Fanny wasn't altogether comfortable with that.

La Costeña: Perla came over to León's desk to tell him the rumor that Fernando would be returning to the corner office. Both were very pleased.

Teatro Juarez: Fernando suggested that Ana get to know Beto because he had to talk privately with Soledad.

Boxing Gym: Johnny and Diana arrived and he asked her to hang out while he sparred. She was a little iffy, but finally decided to stay and support him.

Lascuráin Mansion: The kids came home from school and Bruno explained that Ana and Fernando went to El Oro with Soledad. They would be back later that afternoon. After teasing Bruno about his English, the younger kids went off to change their clothes, but Bruno stopped Alicia and Pablo from going upstairs together. He was just following orders.
Alicia was annoyed, as usual.

University: Nando arrived to meet Edith, who gave him a large bouquet of flowers. Her cell rang, an unknown number.
Nando got her to answer, but it was Gabriel, who began some heavy breathing.

El Oro: In a restaurant made from a railway car Soledad and Ana talked about the guitar.

Bruja Central: Hissabela was laughing about destroying that guitar; Yomama wasn't pleased. Hissabela then bragged about meeting a handsome pediatrician, then left the room.

She then remembered the name on the e-mail and realized that Angel was the author of it. She gloated and even told the baby that they would still be rich.

This woman is really off her rocker,” said Athena. “It looks like she's going to put two and two together and get three instead of four.”

Of course,” said Hera. “He will have to find out sooner or later that this is the same woman who impersonated Ana to Soledad. And that will get ugly very quickly.”

El Oro: Ana explained that she took care of the guitar for all those years, but it had been stolen. She suspected that Hisabruja did it because of her hatred for her. Soledad told her it wasn't her fault, because Hisabela is evil.

Street in D.F.: Fanny and Erica were standing together in a crowd. Fanny was getting nervous,

La Costeña: León was hard at work when Laura sneaked up behind him playing another of her childish games. She covered his eyes and said “Guess who?”

How did she get in there?” asked Aphrodite. “Doesn't that company have a security staff?”

Are you sure she didn't seduce them?” asked Hermes.

That would be like her. Makes me wonder if she's related to Isabela.”

El Oro: Fernando and Beto were obviously planning something as Ana and Soledad continued their conversation. Ana told her she couldn't accept Fernando because of her long-term secret about her double life.

La Costeña: Laura invited León to lunch. He went, but reluctantly. Perla shook her head.

El Oro: Ana explained that she doesn't strip. Soledad understood. Ana asked if she would like to see the place, or is she ashamed of her. Soledad told her no; she could count on her for anything.
She would never judge her. Ana confessed her fear that the disclosure would mean the end of everything. She would lose the Lascuráins.

Fernando and Beto arrived and Beto began talking about his symphony.

Street in D.F.: Erica was the first of the female cancer patients to receive a wig from the charity that distributes them. It looks like this is being carried on the local news.
Erica thanked Fanny, who told her she didn't need to. She was a strong woman who could survive anything.

Café: Laura confessed that she always envied Fanny's perfect life and... that she was in love with her boyfriend.

Run, León, run! I'll steal Hermes' wings for you if necessary!” Eros took his own wings and made a quick exit from the family gathering.

Lascuráin Mansion: Nando and Edith arrived and she told him it was Gabriel who called her cell. Nando asked how could she could be sure.
She told him she sometimes had the feeling he was watching and following her. Nando told her she shouldn't worry because he would protect her. However, he said she should denounce Gabriel.
They kissed.... just in time to be seen by Sebastián and Sarai, who came down the stairs together. Sarai made her usual type of comment about how unsanitary kissing is and why do it. Sebastián told her it was a way to express love between a man and a woman.
She replied that love does not exist between men and women, that this was fake. She went into the kitchen, leaving Sebastián confused and the others slightly embarrassed.

El Oro: Fernando led a blindfolded Ana to an outdoor table at a restaurant. A lot of roses died in the name of the display on the floor and the table.
Waiters served their lunch and some wine as Fernando told her he wanted her to recover her lost time with her mother. She was grateful.

Boxing Gym: Johnny failed to focus, distracted by thoughts of his last conversation with Nick, and took a sucker punch. The referee told him he would rest for ten minutes. Diana fanned him with a towel as he explained why he was distracted. She was a little incredulous.

Lascuráin Mansion: Jenny arrived and Bruno explained about Ana and Fernando accompanying Soledad to El Oro. Bruno suggested they talk while the children were eating. They went into the library.

El Oro: Fernando and Ana continued to eat lunch, but she was thinking about her conversation with Soledad. Fernando was pleased to see that her mother was just as extraordinary as she was. She took out her cell to call the house, but he stopped her.
She put the phone away when he said he wanted to enjoy these moments with her. Soledad's proteges arrived and sang “Mi corazón es tuyo” (out of time with the soundtrack).

Wow, just woke up to take some cough syrup and decided to read your post while trying to fall asleep. This is the first time I've read a recap without seeing the episode and now understand why so many followers just read the recaps.
Superb work!

Great way to start the morning UA! Wonderful recap and you echoed a lot of my sentiments as well, especially "Run Leon Run".

It seems the writers still want to see a break with Leon and Fanny. She hesitated WAYYYYY too long with Lenin's move. He doesn't annoy me quite as much as others, I guess I've been around too many teenage boys through the years and he's pretty normal actually in his swagger and moves, but if Fanny was so in love with Leon, not getting why she is so entranced with this guy. Something is up here.....

Speaking of Fanny...could her future be running the home if Erica does not recover or is unable to?

Glad Ana and Soledad talked and now Soledad knows the truth on Isa. Just in time too. No way Isa can get her clutches into Angel. I mean, no. I don't want him thinking he can redeem her, blah blah blah. Just no.

Make this whole Gabriel story line go away. And my heart broke a little for Sarai that thanks to her wonderful self-absorbed parents she doesn't believe love exist. But heaven help us if the writers give us a plot with Sebas proving her wrong. Friends yes, but love as in romance, etc. Again...too adult of a plot for their age. Let her see it in those around her.

Thanks, Urban. It along with the Olympian commentary was great.

Poor Yolanda trying to get away from Isabela at the hospital by moving off a sofa and to her own armchair.

It was interesting seeing El Oro and the Juarez Theater. That was really beautiful. The trip to El Oro should have taken them just over two hours to drive.

I was so happy that Soledad was so supportive of Ana in her job. At least she will have someone if Fernando rejects her for lying to him about her job. I am hapoy Soledad is going to see Ana perform.

Lenin was more than his usually arrogant and obnoxious self putting the moves on Fanny. Sad to say but Fanny might be interested in him as she told Érica that Lenin had gotten physically close to her and she didn't know what she felt. Érica just nodded knowingly.

Fernando was at his best.

Loved the kids singing especially the theme song. Too bad they had to play the soundtrack because as Urban mentioned it was out of time with the soundtrack.

Jarifa

Thank you, Urban, for a very entertaining recap. The screen shots are perfect.

I agree so much with Daisy -- get rid of Gabriel storyline and please don't let there be a plot with Sebas falling in love with Sarai. (I am not sure why she entered the story to begin with. There are already seven children and a dog for plot material.)

Fernando certainly was at his best. She is completely respectful and loving toward Soledad. Great contrast with his comfort level with crazy Yolanda.

I hope that Fanny doesn't blow her academic career while trying to cope with everything around her. She is one of my favorite characters and deserves better -- no Lenin and taking it slow with Leon -- while she makes an independent life for herself.

And, yes, so wonderful that Ana now has a real ally and supporter as she faces whatever craziness follows the truth of her double-life revealing itself.

UA, great recap, as always.
Fernando told Ana that SOledad could take Diego's old room and stay as long as she wants. When Ana asked him why he was doing this is when he told her that she and her mom needed time to reaquaint with each other. At least Ana will ahve some help in the house with the kids now. Soledad can keep them busy with singing lessons and even do some dancing with Sebas and the little ones.
and yes, Fernando was at his best last night. when he got the cell phone call at the theater Ana was worried something was up with the kids but he said it was Torres... and it was great that he made Ana focus on them two for a change instead of worrying about the kids at home.

yes, traveling lady... Fernando is so respectful and gentle with Soledad... quite a contrast with how he related to YoMama.
and please don't make Isa a charity case for Angel... let him run far away from her the moment he knows who she is...

Excellent as always, Urban. Excellent.

Fatima

Remember that Angel had no previous contact with Hisabruja despite having entered her apartment with Fernando. It shouldn't take him long to find out who she really is.

And while he's a doctor that doesn't mean all his patients are from wealthy families.

Gracias, Urban and wise Olympians. Excellent, as always.

Daisynjay - I agree with you about Sebas and Sarai. Others have mentioned the inappropriateness of the Sebas-falls-on-Sarai-on-the-bed scene, and I agree with those comments, too. I feel very uncomfortable watching these children act out adult feelings, relationships and situations.

Poor Nando. Does he ever ask himself where the problem-free girls are?

Or girls who don't start out being his older sister's friends!

Thank you UA and always appreciate the Olympus dialogue

I was wondering if Angel would be the one to discover Fernando is not the father. What happened to the other doctor that has remained quiet?

I love Fanny and just hate this Lenin story line. Know it happens that people have attractions while in relationships, I just hate seeing all these boundaries so easily crossed or there are no boundaries at all.

So, Ana won't tell and will continue to lie because she fears she will lose everything. (that happens to belong to Fernando) That mean old bastard Fernando.

LOL tofie, you made me laugh... but it is true...

its going to be a loooooong 70 more eps if they want to torture us with these 'teasing' scenes from here on out without the secret coming out

Frankly, if Ana isn't going to fess up, she should stop the gazing and flirting and mooning over Fer. What is she going to do...marry him THEN say "Oh, and by the way?". Her thinking at this point is run purely by panic and a sense of still believing she is his inferior or not deserving of him. And that bothers me a bit--I want to see her start to feel more sure of herself and come into that relationship as an equal, not an awestruck school girl.

Daisynjay

Daisynjay, ITA about the gazing and fawning over the guy and especially when she just had told her mother she would not relent to his wooing because she wants to maintain her double life. What's the point?

Oh, and forgot to mention I thought Jen's outfit was great last night. Loved that red short jacket, and oh my, that designer purse. You go girl...man ditches you, then spend the money he left and go get some fancy new clothes to feel better in. She looked very chic.

Daisynjay

can you all imagine her marrying him and sneaking out of their bedroom at night to go dance? YIKES!!

That looked like a Hermes handbag

Marta, I've run that one out too. Gawd, I would expect my hubby to divorce me if I slipped out at night to dance semi nude, provocatively, at a gentleman's club.

"Someone names an accessory line for me? I will reward him with riches!"

"He's rich already, bro," said Artemis. "You need to work on some people's communication skills."

"You mean Ana?"

"Si. She needs to hold back on the screeching and find a way to fess up to Fernando about her double life. At the same time we need to work on getting her free of her debt to him. Can she prove she paid him anything back?"

"I don't know. I'll have to pay Mneme a visit. She might remember if there were any eyewitnesses other than Jennifer."

it doesn't really matter if she can prove she worked for no pay all these last few years... she will need Fernando's financial backup and a lot of his law enforcement connections with plenty of witnesses (which she has: Johnny,Jenny, Diego, etc) to get out of that mess... but her biggest mess is Fernando and his standards.

"Someone names an accessory line for me? I will reward him with riches!"

Hysterical UA!! And actually, he did reward them with riches. The price of the bags that size if it was a Hermes could cover my rent for almost a year. Talk about retail therapy...

Daisynjay

Has there been any mention of the money Nic gave Jenny for her surgery and if she paid that toward Ana's debt? Ana doesn't even ask so I assume the debt isn't really what is keeping her there.

Thanks UA and Olympians. Great recap!

I believe Jen repaid the surgery money to Dorotoad but since no one is keeping any records, who knows what Ana owes. Plus there was other debt besides the surgery.

Loriloo

UA thank you for the most excellent recap!

Did I miss discussion about the episode where someone was video taping Ana on a cellphone at Chicago? Surely this will have something to do with the big reveal?

ITA with all who are saying she either needs to tell him what she does and live with the consequences or let him think that she could never love him. Of course that would wreck the story, but it would be the right thing to do. Why doesn't Ana tell him that she can NEVER accept him-- or that he will NEVER really accept her, and then tell him why. Put him in a position of "you can tell me anything I promise..."

Re Fanny, I'm getting whiplash. First it seemed that Lenin was a thing for her (which I didn't/don't get at all) and then it seemed to just go away. Now it's back? Please!

And I don't see any possibility of Angel and Isa. The SECOND he finds out who she is, that is that.

Bye!
Rebecca

The thing that bothers me with Fanny is that she made it about Leon's jealously (he was) and took no responsibility and poopoo'd what Leon saw. The thing between Fanny and Lenin has nothing to do with Leon. She's responding to the guy and flat has a crush on him. She didn't look uncomfortable to me last night with him an inch from her lips.

Thanks, UA. I enjoyed your commentary much more than the episode itself. Not sure if it was just me or if it was a little dull.

Does a truckload of rose petals really warrant blindfolding? I mean, it's a fancy meal, but it isn't really a dramatic surprise.

How exactly is Isa planning to try to snare Angel? Adopt an entirely alternate identity? And always make sure to see him when Fer and Soledad and anyone else isn't around? Also, isn't she all huge on her baby being a Lascurain? How is she planning to use Angel as a pediatrician without him knowing the baby's name and putting it together? Is she planning for that poor child to start out life with double identities and false documents? Am I giving her way too much credit in wondering if she's thought of how this would work at all? Probably. She has the mental and emotional skills of a disturbed toddler. If she had any sense of strategy at all, she would have figured out by now that being nice would get her more than being witchy.

Fanny not only didn't seem bothered by Lenin's leaning in, she almost seemed to be daring him to kiss her.

They said Erica's cancer is in remission, right? How is it in remission already? That was fast. Unless I misheard.

I like the Sarai actress and don't mind the character too much, but I don't see why we need her in this show. She should be in Paris with eleven other little girls, wreaking havoc on their two straight lines.

Thanks UA and everyone else for the recaps the last week or so. Sorry I've been mostly silent. I caught a cold Christmas Eve and it's still lingering.

Rebecca: thanks for the reminder about the cell phone video taping. I thought at the time that I was surprised that Ana hadn't turned up on Youtube YEARS ago!! When the big reveal comes, I just hope it isn't Isa or Yolanda who find out and spill the beans.

Dudes: we just had an earthquake!! It's too cold for an earthquake. The world has gone mad!!!

In case you have been wondering about our nemesis capcha

MEANING:
noun: A test used to make sure that a human is using a system, not a computer program. The test typically involves reading distorted text.

ETYMOLOGY:
An acronym of Completely Automated Public Turing Test to tell Computers and Humans Apart. The Turing test is named after Alan Turing, a mathematician and computer scientist, who proposed that a computer could be considered intelligent if, while interacting with a human and a computer, someone could not tell which is which. A captcha is a kind of reverse Turing test. Earliest documented use: 2001.

I' not a robot

Nanette
Give me a hurricane anytime, at least you KNOW they are coming. Scary

Earthquake?! The one in California which USGS says was 3.9 on Richter, 17 minutes ago? Drama!

Any damage, or just a scare?

I'll take an earthquake over a hurricane, unless it's a superhuge earthquake. Earthquakes are over faster and at least don't usually involve turning everything around into a projectile.

If the earth shook, it would scare the mierda out of me.

It was a short one. Out in the ocean near San Pedro (from what I overheard here in the office). 3.9--not too big. We felt it because we're really close to San Pedro.

Variopinta: thanks for the captcha info. I noticed recently it just needs a checkmark. Apparently, robots haven't advanced enough to know how to make a checkmark.

Fanny should smack Lenin. He is disgusting and creepy. He is constantly trying to teach her lessons. He is a narcissistic and condescending. Fanny has a lot to learn about men. If she wants a controlling freak who behaves as if he is her teacher, then go for Lenin! If she wants a genuine good guy that has a jealousy problem (a justified one imo), stick with Leon.

A condescending, narrow-minded control freak. Lenin seems all set on educating Fanny about the ways of the world. I'd guess he knows very little outside his own limited little sphere.

Also, I don't think the writers know how to write college kids. They all act like they're in middle school.

I can't stand Lenin. I once loved Fanny but she is beginning to skank it up too much with this sneaking around with Lenin while pretending to be in a committed relationship with Leon. Frickin dishonest.

ITA Kirby. Lenin is disgusting.
