Here is your page for the week.  Enjoy!

I'm trying to catch up to TdR and I'm having a problem with Telemundo's videos. Does anyone else have this issue?

Yes, Urban Anthropologist, the Telemundo videos drive me crazy! I do not remember who, but someone here (Caray, Caray!) recently said TM changed their system, and it has problems. Maybe when they fix those, it will be possible to use. I had to give up on the Telemundo ones and go to YouTube, but that is almost no better. If you subscribe on YouTube, it makes it better. Use the search there. It also helps to register there, but it is an easy registration.

Good luck.

YouTube doesn't have the parts 2 and 3. Yesterday I watched Part 1 of ep 4 and had to go to Telemundo's site to see the rest.

I guess they will eventually get it together but it's really frustrating.

I think they are all at this link:

https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=tierra+de+reyes+capitulo+4

If you scroll down the page, it seems the parts are all there.

Make sure to put the whole words in the search field, like: Tierra De Reyes+capitulo 4 and it usually has all the parts scattered around the page, even if posted by different regular posters. As I said, it helps to register, then click "Subscribe" for the posters/groups that usually post the show you are looking at. Also, usually when one part ends, other parts show up in boxes on the screen; the top left corner usually has the immediate following part, though sometimes by a different poster, and sometimes not the best quality, but better than none - and, sadly, better than at the TM official site until they fix the troubles there.

Hope this helps! I know what a trouble it can be!

Telemundo...

it looks like no prime time novelas Wednesday or Thursday, this week and next.

the Miserables...

interesting that Olegario (Gabriel Porras) has a twin, that no one bothered to inform,

and so Daniel is in bed with the Diabla,

and Pablo claims to be innocent although all of the evidence is against him, how will Daniel go on this one.

bad move by Lucia, having Roxanne stay in the house that Lily haunts.

Tierra de Reyes...

I was going to mention Arturo has a new hat, but his old one reappeared, love those moments when he stands tall, in his own simple and honest way, and Sofia really brings it home, standing by his side.

we can't let them haul off the General, who will all the pretty girls sleep with on those cold lonely nights, love how the girls are all as tough as the guys, grab the rifle Andrea, say, what ever happened to Lola, the General's pistol?

good work Arturo seeing the saddle strap was cut, and why are they killing Pablo?

ah, so Samuel is not so innocent, but still the charmer.

Señora Acero...

as we near the end, pink slips abound, as the body count rises,

I too think Manuel must be a cop or something, because how do you know so much about the cartels without being in one, he fights good, but why doesn't he have a gun, will he follow in the path of Sara's former men?

will Josefina continue to be shocked by Felipe and Berta till her last day on earth?

when Sara put together her merry band, wasn't Cornelia the most suspect, because she had worked for Enriqueta and betrayed her.

I don't really understand the laundering thingy which seems to involve taking the money back and forth across the border, but I guess the new shops are a big part of it, which Felipe is about to zero in on.

So Manuel knows Indio was in on the hit on Sara's mom, (but he didn't tell anyone), I kept waiting for him to hear a conversation with Indio and (show us your psycho eyes) el Teca.

and Quintanilla wasn't shy about showing Sara what the price of doing business with him is.

and btw Miriam, Arnulfo is dead.

X... I'm not an robot

Thanks, deb!
Señora Acero
I was really upset that Cornelia came out on top. My Visitación rest in peace.

Josefina is a complete dummy.

I think part of the laundering is having invoices for more than actually gets reported, so the startup costs of a chain I estéticas and spas would mean a lot of fake invoices. I don't understand the crossing the border bit either.

Tierra
I love watching Arturo and Sofia together.

Señora Acero
Here's a link to an article that I only half read:
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Money_laundering

It said something about bulk cash smuggling to jurisdictions with less bank secrecy and money laundering regulations, but that would make no sense to smuggle money to the US would it?

Deb, thanks for your quick recaps of these novelas!

Los Miserables

Daniel will pay dearly for last night's roll in the hay with Diabla. I'm hoping that everyone (Lucia, the entire Duran clan, & his fellow officers) finds out and judges him with the same condemnation he has for others.

Was Andriana drinking wine yesterday? Why was Octavio interested in Vicky's health (test results) if he doesn't want to get back with her? The Echevarria's (?) have made a career of wining about the Durans when the Durans are saints compared to them.

Senora Acero

I was hoping that Visitacion would prevail. Shame she reappeared just for 1-2 scenes. Did Cornelia place the desk in the camera's blind spot. How is it that Manual hasn't caught on. And how was he able to listen to Indio's cell phone call from the hotel room.

Felipe is such an idiot (and murderer). Berta tried to tell him that El Teca (and Quintanilla) would easily kill him on Sara's behalf.

Tierra
Arturo's brown hat was a flashback to an event with his sister.
Good guys in white hats, bad guys in black hats, although I haven't seen Leonardo in a hat at all, but it will be black. They do take it off sometimes though. What happened to removing your hat when entering the house or in the presence of a lady, forgot---- there aren't any here. The del Junco mujeres are all sluts, different than FELS.

Sra. Acero
I can't get my alliances straight, they are pretty much short lived though.
Quintanilla is on Sara's side
Tecas seems to be on Sara's side too & obsessed with her.
José Luis Reséndez is doing a great job at crazy, I've only seen him as a nice guy sidekick.
Indio is employed by Teca, but against Sara.
A little help here if you can figure it out. I know narcos go wherever they make the best $ deal.

Quiero amarte, saw it today & there was a little red headed girl in it, Elios' hija!, I think. Love that excellent young actress & her wild red hair.

Telemundo was fantastic with the videos at 1st, now they suck. No captions, then you lose it. Still better than Uni.

Los Mis
Are you happy with this one? I had to give up for MCET when they changed the time & its not so easy to catch up online.
Schedule changes really piss me off.

Sra Acero
Was Tecas responsible for killing Saras mom?

Señora Acero
The Indio and Teca duo is the most confusing to me. Seems to me that Teca has been calling the shots since the beginning. All of Sara's misfortunes seem to have been meticulously planned to make her dependent on Don Teca. But I think Indio has an agenda too. Teca looks the other way as long as Sara is not harmed.

I am also loving Jose Luis Resendez. He and Quintanilla have filled the interesting character gaps left by Junio and Elio.

Señora Acero
The rambling response didn't answer the question. I don't think Teca directly ordered the hit, but knew Indio was ordering it and didn't stop him. It all played into Teca's plan to leave Sara so scared she'd run to him.

Unfortunately I think he just made her mad and she's not going to play the damsel in distress role he wants her to play.

Personally I think Quintanilla always knew Sara was a fighter and respects her more. That's why I hope she ends up working for him again.

Sr. Acero

I also hope Sara returns to Quintanilla. And although I despise Felipe, the actor that plays him has an opportunity to be more dramatic than the others...employ a greater emotional range. With that said I'm curious about the justice the writers have in for him in the end.

Sra Acero
While I despise Felipe the character, the actor is really fun to watch!

TELEMUNDO...

Los Miserables...

Lily's surprise visits have caused Roxana to hide under a counter, behind the drapes, and Memin is no where to be found.

Abel has awaken on the street, with empty pockets and is having a hard time working his way home, no one seems to want to help him, me neither.

Lily, who's obsession with her sister Lucia trumps all, has taken her video of bedding Daniel to the jail to impress Lucia, who's crushed, if there is anything left to crush, and shows Leon as well, it's a proud day for the slut.

Octavio has moved on and is seen kissing another girl by Vicky, who later accompanies Adriana to a clinic to get her abortion, and a girl's face who must have just gotten one says it all, Vicky is out of there, while Adriana plods on for a few more steps, before she also retreats.

Olegario's brother, confined to a wheel chair, sadly lets his loyal staff go, hands them their last pay, and as they leave, is that a smile, do we see Olegario's gold tooth? (Gabriel Porras is always fun to watch)

Lucia's lawyer wants her out from under Daniel's control, and is pushing for a transfer, but Daniel is determined, while Lucha hits him with sleeping with her sister, which adds to his inner turmoil, but he gets a grip.

Deb is coasting along with Radamés in a coma, but what if he recovers, maybe she better pull the plug.

Tierra de Reyes...

the girls stand firm, and the General is saved from the manicomio,

but Soledad walks in on a Sofia/Arturo kiss, what's this? and she wants nothing to do with the boy's vengeance touching HER girls, she draws the line.

Pablo and Rocio are warned by the bad guys to drop the accident, which later confuses Sofia.

Ulises is out of town on business, while Samuel picks back up with Patricia, while Andrea keeps circling.

Soledad's real daughter is coming to town against her (adopted) mother's wishes, but Soledad is thrilled.

Señora Acero...

Manuel is kidnapped, threatened, beaten, but in the end we find out he was hired by Indio to get close to Sara, and el obsessive Teca's worry is that he is too close.

Felipe's contact kills his political opponent, he thinks this makes it a shoe-in, Josefina overhears some of his conversations and calls Sara, sure that he did it, Sara talks to Quintanilla, wants Felipe bumped off.

Cornelia tracks down el Teca, wants to give Sara up as the one that is stealing the money, el Teca reveals that no one knows what he looks like, and I'm thinking she won't be joining his inner circle.

a big money thing is in the works, and the DEA number two guy is hot on the new girl, who is being cool, but she lets it slip she is going on a business trip.

and I'm still thinking Miriam got cheated when the producers swapped Joaco on her.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Thank you for the info, Deb. I've almost decided to give
up on the shows since I understand so little of what
they're saying. Your retelling of the main points really
helps. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Anon Gringa

I hope all had delightful holidays.

Los Mis

Thank you, deb, for warning that the show would not be on for two nights, both weeks. And for more information on the show. "bad move by Lucia, having Roxanne stay in the house that Lily haunts." I agree. Your recap here has been much help to me. I did not see the capitulo yet, but when I do, I will watch for that gold tooth. Gabriel Porras really is talented. Seeing him as the brother really shows that.

And spanish student, very well said: "I'm hoping that everyone (Lucia, the entire Duran clan, & his fellow officers) finds out and judges him [Daniel] with the same condemnation he has for others." Yes!

Variopinta: "its not so easy to catch up online. Schedule changes really piss me off." Sympathy! "Telemundo was fantastic with the videos at 1st, now they suck. No captions, then you lose it." Yes, it is very frustrating!
But yes, I am still enjoying this one, in spite of much troubles with the online videos. I was already hooked, though.

Have a nice weekend, all.

Señora Acero
Thanks deb! It seems like Cornelia is doomed... Except they only seem to do away with characters we like. I fear Cornelia may stay with us for awhile. Lol.

I also prefer the other Joaco.

Looking forward to tonight's episode.

Señora Acero- el viernes
Let me see how much I can remember (and I never remember anything in the correct order.)

Cornelia asks el Teca to give her some money to take across the border and in a few day she'll have all the paperwork and proof of Sara's guilt. El Teca threatens her and tells her she better not be lying to him or she will be begging for death. He wants the proof and all the missing money.

Cornelia buries the missing money in some field and I'm pretty sure it was the veterinarian that was spying on her.

El Teca confronts Sara about it and she swears she's loyal and not stealing.

Everyone gets ready for the operative. Last minute change of plans has Cornelia walking across the border.

Cornelia gets busted crossing the border. Plutarco sees the whole take down and thinks someone squealed.

The DEA agent wants Cornelia to talk. When she balks (after remembering El Teca's threats) he offers the full protection of the U.S. Government.

Miriam and Andrea (is that that new girl's name?) get busted trying to board the plane. The DEA agent tells Miriam to undress and they show all the cash.

Sara convinces Oscar, the brother of the dead candidate (Alvaro Barba), to run in place of his brother. According to Felipe's campaign manager, the public has rallied behind the dead man's campaign and Felipe will lose the election. As the manager put it--Felipe himself made the main a saint and he can't win against a dead man (ok. Loose translation.)

Using the excuse of going on a walk with the baby, Josefina leaves the house and meets Sara at a park. Unfortunately, Felipe followed her and a car chase ensues. Sara remembers the tunnels.

El Teca's men meet Sara and she, Josefina and Manuel (is that the Colombian's name?) go into the tunnels. While there they run into a couple of young boys (Salvador's age) and in the course of conversation discover that El Teca uses 200 (?) boys a day to run cocaine to the U.S. and bring back money. Sara is furious!! One of the boys has hit his head and needs to go to the hospital.

Meanwhile outside the tunnel Felipe and his men have a shoot out with El Teca's men. Eventually Felipe leaves and parks in a hidden location. Sara and Josefina will have to come out sometime!

Sara, Josefina, the Colombian and the boys emerge from the tunnel. She tells the men that the boy needs to go to the hospital. She speaks for El Teca saying they won't be using children anymore (or something like that.) The Colombian warns her about speaking for El Teca.

Señora Acero
Oy the typos.

There was also a scene with Aracely and Plutarco where he explains what's going on.

Oh and Sara is going to want Plutarco to find all the coordinates of the tunnnels.

Thank you for clearing up some things, Sara. I thought
the little boys were illegals.I'm hoping there's some way
for the nice people to be redeemed in the end without
too much suffering. Nothing's too bad for El Teca, Felipe,
Indio, and Beta. The jury's still out on Manuel. I sort of
like Quintanilla, but I have to remind myself that he's a killer even though I didn't shed a tear for his last two
victims. I clapped as a matter of fact. Thank you again.

AnonGringa

Quintanilla is a tough one for me too. He's a killer and yet I'm fine with it considering the victims. And I love his hair, suits and mannerisms!

And I actually hate Berta the most.

Señora Acero

wow, thanks Sara, what a treat!
something about the holidays, I loose my rhythm, and this show... was too crazy!

the actress who plays Josefina is really good at this, because she is driving me up a wall, she does waffle with the best, and does Sara even know this isn't her baby?

so Sara knows Cornelia has turned on her, changes the plan, and they all get caught, what? and part of what was changed was where Cornelia/Plutarco (who had no money) crossed and there was the DEA guy waiting for her.

and then the Teca tunnel, why does he keep giving away it's location to anyone that might be chasing Sara, and for that matter Felipe works for him as well, so why didn't el Teca just have Indio warn him off.

and the tunnel itself, you can't quite drive a truck through there since Sara caved it in last trip, but you could lead a string of donkeys and carry much more money than Sara's girls were carrying into the U.S. at the risky border crossing,

and, weren't the kids they met in the tunnel carrying their money the other way, into Mexico?
(if Sara has her way they will all be wearing hard hats).

is the new girl Alicia?

Señora Acero
And isn't it Felipe's biological baby? If Josefina finally stopped waffling and left Felipe for good couldn't he get custody? Though I guess that would mean the truth would have to come out. I doubt he would want that.

Does Felipe really know he works for Teca? Does he know that Teca and Indio know each other? That's why the Teca/Indio team confounds me. Indio seems to have business independent of Teca.

Yeah the kids bring cocaine into the states and being money back.

Did Teca and Indio talk about getting a man inside the DEA? I think I'm imagining that.

New girl (Alicia sounds right) did tell that agent she was taking a trip. Maybe they covered all the major ways in and out of the country? That still wouldn't explain why Ara managed to complete her mission.

Sra Acero
Tks so much Sara.
I am in a state of total confusion on this TN, but still enjoying it.
I don't think even a road map to who is on whose side would help.
You helped a great deal Sara.

The baby is a result of Felipe molesting the maid.

Very few good guys in a narco TN, it's just a case of being a good bad guy or a bad bad guy.

"...it's just a case of being a good bad guy or a bad bad guy."

Perfect description!
