TELEMUNDO Y MENOS: Reina de Corazones, Project Chapter a Day, Thursday, December 11th 2014 Cap 140: El Gran Final.

My dear Reinamaniacs this is it - the final episode and recap of this wonderful show that has entertained us night after night. It has been such a joy recapping this show. Thanks to all the recappers for their wonderful recaps and thanks to each and every one of the commenters who made watching and recapping this show even more enjoyable.

Now on to the recap of the finale....

He's Been A Very Bad Cop This Year

Bad Cops Bad Cops Whatcha You Gonna Do Watcha
You Gonna Do When They Come For You

Navier, Moto, and Izzy race over to where the corpse of the masked man is.

Navier unmakes the poor sap and is surprised. It's not the Falcon. It's not even a Hawk. It's none other than TWCILV - Christian. Navier calls a red alert. He wants the place surrounded and no one must leave the premises.

Izzy the resident CIA clown decides to crack a joke. "Who would have thought? TWCILV went from cop to criminal while I went from criminal to cop".

[Good one, Izzy!]

Fooled By The Falcon Yet Again

I dare you to swallow it

The "Black Falcon" in CIA uniform and sunglasses enters his car where ORBO is waiting for him at the wheel. ORBO is dressed in black and wearing a cap. His glasses are nowhere to be seen. Thank goodness. Victor and ORBO have a nice chuckle. Victor sarcastically laments Chrstian's fate and calls him a poor sap. Victor pulls out the red diamond and shows ORBO.

Flashback, Hideout: Christian didn't have anyone to go to when Izzy shot him and Victor was the only one who helped him. Christian is thankful to Victor for this and won't ever forget it. Victor tells Christian that what he must not forget is that the CIA killed his sister Alicia. Christian swears he can't forget that either - those bastards left Neron cobraless err motherless! Victor has a favor to ask Christian. "What's it about?" Christian asks. "The red diamond" Victor replies.

Falcons are like chameleons - they can blend right in

Flashback, Diamond Exhbition: As Victor tells ORBO how he was able to swipe the red diamond without being seen we're treated to a flashback of how it all played out. Victor knew the CIA was coming for him. He also knew each and every one of their moves. He wasn't seen because he disguised himself as an agent and blended in with the others. Victor swipes the red diamond from the vault while the other agents are distracted with Christian's corpse.

Now we'll be able to make a red diamond soup

"I was better than them" Victor tells ORBO. "After a long time I'm finally able to unite all four dimaonds" Victor says. "The curse is over for me but not for Reina and Navier - they'll be cursed until death do them part". "I'll make sure of it!".

It Only Took Her A Month To Thaw Out

At the CIA camera room, Esmeeth has thawed out and returned to work. Navier is surprised to see her. They had agreed to a two month vacation not a month. Esmeeth wanted to return to the action, to trapping bad guys, and arguing with Navier. Navier admits arguing with her is the part he enjoys the most. Navier is glad to see Esmeeth is alive and that she had enough strength to move on after everything that happened. "Just a few minutes more and I would have died frozen" she tells him. "But that didn't happen" he tells her.

Let me touch your hand to see if you've fully thawed out

He shakes her hand. "Welcome back, Agent Esmeeth!" he tells her.

Oh what the heck! It's the grand finale. Let me hug you and put an end to this whole "I hate my mother" storyline!

I've waited 140 episodes for this moment

Then he hugs her. Over the shoulder: Navier smiles and Esmeeth looks like she's about to cry. The PHoo juice must have softend his heart I guess.

She's My Sister Too You Know

Don't worry hijito. The tall man isn't going to hurt us.

Estefy is led into the interrogation room where PELS waits for her. Estefy is upset with PELS because it's taken him a month to come and see her.

He tells her he's been watching her. It has taken him a month to gather up the strength to come and see her face to face. She destroyed him! He tried to save her and never imagined she'd go too far. She never told him about Christian or Chiche. "Christian is dead" he tells her.

She asks him about Chiche. Where's Juanjo? Will he kill him too? She reminds him that Juanjo is his brother too and has his blood.

PELS reminds her that Reina is his sister too and also has his blood. If Juanjo continues with this revenge and he has to kill him he'll do it.

But Were His Socks For Real As Well

Juanjo meets up with Susana at Estefy's old mansion. He tells her his love for her was not lie. Neither were his dreams and passion. He gets on his knees and apologizes to her for not being the man she deserves and for not being able to be a father to their child.

She drops the bomb here and tells him she's having triplets.

He's mega impactado.

She almost lost them with everything that happened. She tells him that their babies won't have a family and a father thanks to a revenge.

He tells her that thanks to that revenge he met her. It was all worth it. He tells her that he loves her more than his life and will love her until his death. She'll hear from him one day. He tells her to leave before he regrets letting her go.

Susana is in tears and kisses him one last time before leaving.

Juanjo cries.

I Dream Of Greta

Moto is hurt when she hears Laz call out Greta's name as he sleeps. She walks out into the living room. Laz joins her a few seconds later.

She tells him he was dreaming with Greta.

"But I'm here with you, Roman, and Agatha" he tells her.

"Yes, because you don't know where Greta is and can't go look for her" she tells him. She doesn't know what will happen when Laz sees Greta again. Perhaps it will be their last day together. She doesn't know how much time she has left with him. She caresses his face. She kisses him. She tells him that she'll make sure that time is unforgetable. She kisses him.

The Love Tub

Navier and Reina kiss passionately as they take a bubble bath together in a tub surrounded by candles. Navier tells Reina he was thinking about their final escape. He tells her that he, she, and Clara will be far away from everybody and have the life they've always dreamed about. This will happen after the return of Reina De Corazons to the runaway. It'll be a new life for the three of them.

Reina corrects him "for the four of us".

This isn't time to play Confuse The Dragon

The Dragon is confused.

Didn't she tell him....she's preggers!

Navier is overjoyed with the news.

She tells him he'll be a daddy Dragon again. They kiss passionately.

Garnier Can Make You Look Pretty

I want to be a hairstylist when I grow up

"They better give me a bonus for using this thing on my hair" - Paola Nuñez

Clara helps Reina get all dolled up for the big event. She sprays some Garnier stuff on her hair. No comment on the fugly dress they made Reina wear. Don't get me started on that gigantic necklace she's sporting. Anyway, after Clara is done getting her mother all dolled up Reina asks Clara - "how do I look?" Clara thinks her mother looks beautiful. Navier comes into the room. He's come to get his two princesses. Although one is a queen not a princess but whatever. Clara asks Navier - "Don't you think mommy looks beautiful?" Navier replies "The most beautiful of them all". The three will leave for the fashion show.

An Uninvited Guest

Connie is alive. She's the speaker at the fashion show and welcomes the guests to the Reina De Corazones fashion show. She's sporting a gorgeous red dress with a brand new hairsytle. Anyway, we see that Asuncion, Moto, and Clara are seated in the front row. Models in wedding dresses start coming out onto the runway.

How dare they not send me an invitation?

On the second floor we see a familiar face. It's Victor De Rosas. He's crashed the event and has brought along a special friend of his - his sniper rifle! He aims it at the runway below.

She's Damned I Tell You. Damned.

Esmeeth leads the agents as they bring Estefy into the CIA lobby. PELS is in the lobby and Esmeeth stands by his side. Estefy is allowed to spew her venom one last time before being taken away. She tells Esmeeth and PELS - "Reina Ortiz will die even if you lock me up and kill me." "She'll die because she's condemned".

It's Almost Action Time My Friend

Back at the fashion show, Victor prepares his special friend for action.

Reina stands next to Izzy and Navier. Then she goes upstairs.

Victor aims his sniper rilfe at the runway.

She's Still Recruiting Members For The "I Hate Reina" Club

Estefy tells Esmeeth that she should hate Reina as much as she does because Reina will bring Navier to his death. They'll soon have Navier at the morgue to do an autopsy on him. When that happens Esmeeth better not cry because she could have avoided the whole thing by offing Reina and she didn't do it.

Just Shoot The Darn Rifle Already

Back at the fashion show, models walk on the runway.

Victor aims the sniper rifle at the runway and looks through the magnifying glass.

"They made me wear that fugly dress and gigantic necklace for nothing" - Paola Nuñez

Connie introduces Reina. Reina walks onto the runway. She's now sporting a nice white dress and smaller nekclace. Don't understand what the point was of having her wear that fugly dress and gigantic necklace. Whatever.

I think I smell a Falcon

Moto is suspcious.

There you are my little queen

Victor aims and looks through the magnifying glass. He has Reina within aim.

Reina makes a speech. Today is a special day for her. First because everyone is there and second because this is her last collection. It's been a marvelous trip but it was a trip that one day had to end. It's the end of Reina De Corazones. She thanks the guests for being there and walks to the back of the runway. Navier and Clara come onto the runway and stand next to Reina.

Eeeny, meeny, miney, moe which one should I shoot

Victor has the The Dragon Family within his aim.

Dude if you ain't going to shoot I'll have to shoot instead

Oh snap! There's another sniper at the event. He's dressed in black and wears a mask. He shoots at The Dragon Family before Victor can make his shot. The Dragon Family falls to the floor of the runway. Guests scream and scurry out.

Uhh what just happened here?

Victor is cara de QTH???

So who is cleaning up this mess?

The bloodied bodies of The Dragon Family is splattered on the runway.

Seven Months Later

Must All Novela Characters Wear White At The End

At a church, we see Clara dressed in a white dress walk down the aisle. She leaves flowers at the altar of La Virgencita. Navier who is also in white holds a flower of his own and walks down the aisle and joins Clara.

As this scene takes place we're treated to a voiceover from The Dragon:
There are games that you win and lose. There are games that should never be played. There are games were one doesn't know what the best result is. There are games were one shuffles and plays again.

My Life Without Reina and Navier

At the hideout, Victor smokes his cigar and thinks.

"What were you thinking about?" ORBO asks him.

"I was thinking about life" Victor replies. "A life without Reina and Navier". It's a sad and empty life with no challenges. An unhappy life because he wanted to kill them.

"What do you plan on doing now?" ORBO asks him.

Victor thinks he should escape. He should do one last magic trick and disappear. He should dedicate himself to taking care of his son and forget all about Reina and Navier. "Do you think I'll be able to?" he asks ORBO.

Of course he is. ORBO pulls out a gun and aims it at Victor. "Today, your life is over and you'll stop breathing" he tells Victor. "Today you'll be traveling to hell".

Victor stares at him. He's cara de is this guy for real.

I'm Reina 2.0

I'm just a little old seamstress

We hear the sound of a sewing machine. Estefy is sewing. No, she's not sewing lips shut this time. She's sewing dresses. She's at the looney bin. She's dressed up as Reina and sports the "anteojito" glasses and braid. PELS visits her. She tells him that she's Reina "La Reina De Corazones". She asks him who he is.

He kneels down next to her and tells her that he's her brother and calls her by her real name.

She corrects him and tells him she's Reina. She asks if he came for the fashion show and tells him she doesn't have much time. Well, she does but to organize everything and tend to her clients. The dolls are her "models".

PELS smiles at her. He tells her that she makes precious dresses.

She tells him that she knows she does. She tells him that she has two talents - sewing and love.

My poor sister has totally lost it

PELS smiles at her.

She tells him that all men fall in love with her but she only loves Nicolas Nuñez.

PELS tells her that Nicolas is one lucky dude.

The Queen Lives

Clara tells Navier she prayed for her mother. He prayed for her too.

Reina is alive. She's dressed in a white dress and sporting a baby bump. She walks down the aisle and joins Navier and Clara.

Say Hello To Daddy For Me

It's Falcon season

ORBO insults Victor calling him despicable, perverse, and a psychopath. Note to ORBO - It takes one to know one, buddy! ORBO aims the gun at Victor.

Dude, it's duck season!

"You bore me" Victor tells ORBO. Victor gets up from the couch. He walks over towards ORBO and taunts him. He dares ORBO to shoot.

ORBO aims the gun. He seems surprised that Victor has the guts to stand up to him even when has the advantage.

Victor wants to see if ORBO will do something with his life - a life in which ORBO has been a shadow and less than nothing. A life that has been wasted. He tells ORBO to have some dignity and shoot.

I knew I was forgetting something

ORBO pulls the trigger. Oh snap! The gun has no bullets. ORBO is looking afraid.

And he should be afraid. Victor has walked behind ORBO. "You know I trust no one, right?" Victor asks him. Victor pulls out a gun and aims it at ORBO. "Say hello to daddy for me" Victor tells him.

ORBO turns around.

Victor shoots ORBO in the heart.

ORBO keels over dead

I've Lost My Laz

At forensics, Moto cries as she reads a letter Laz left for her.

The letter says:
The day has finally come. The most feared and most awaited day. The day that most worried me and filled me with doubts. Greta called me. I went to look for her. Today, her daughter will meet her.

Morrir Para Vivir

At a park somplace, Agatha slides down a slide. Laz is there. Greta arrives on a bike and smiles as she runs over to Laz and her daughter. The three of them play in the park like a happy family.

As this scene plays out we are treated to a voiceover from Greta:
Sometimes it's worth it to die and start again. Disappear. Become extinct. Evaporate. Leave for a while to win eternity. Leave a few pages in blank to write a story again. Die to live.

This Time The Falcon Was Fooled

Clara tells her parents that the fashion show was spectacular and like a movie. She prepared for it like a great actress. Reina and Navier laugh. Navier says her princess is a great actress. Clara takes a bow.

Asuncion shows up dressed in white. She walks down the aisle. She hands Navier his pills which he doesn't really want to take. Reina tells him that he knows he has to take them. They have to take care of his heart.

"That heart is strong and brave" Clara tells her dad. She says she has the best parents ever and will be the best older sister ever. Asuncion and Clara leave.

Reina mentions to Navier how Asuncion is finally happy. She tells him that she will never forget the fashion show. Navier won't forget it either.

Flashback:
Navier was alert at every moment. He was afraid Victor was there. Moto moved her head. Izzy gave the order. The sniper shot the blank bullets. There was screams and caos. The three of them pretended to be dead. They kept their eyes closed and didn't move. They held their breath. It was the death of the Queen of Hearts.

It marked a new start for Navier - the happiness of living with Reina.

Reina wonders if that happiness will last. Navier's phone rings. She says it for that very reason because everytime the phone rings it terrifies her. Navier tells Reina it's his mom who is calling. Navier answers. Esmeeth tells him she's received a letter from Juanjo. He wants to turn himself in. But he wants to turn himself in to Navier. No one else. Juanjo knows Navier is alive. He knows Navier very well. "It's true" Navier tells Esmeeth. "JJ knows me well and knows I'll go to see him". Navier hangs up. "If Juanjo wants to destroy me and make me suffer he knows he'll achieve it by killing you" Reina tells Navier.

Meet My Teddy

My teddy will protect me from the mean old Dragon

At Estefy's old mansion, Juanjo awaits for the Dragon in the doll room. He is clutching a teddy bear with the name tag "Chiche". He has his back turned to the door.

Navier enters and aims his gun. "Here I am" he tells his ex-friend.

Do you want to meet my teddy?

Juanjo turns around. "I have no weapons" he tells the Dragon. "I have this teddy bear that was mine and Estefy kept". "He's a little old and has come unstitched." "His name is Chiche and I used to sleep with him". Juanjo tells Navier that he will turn himself in.

"Should I trust you?" The Dragon asks. "You were the most astute, the most intillegient, and the biggest liar in this story and you except me to trust you."

"Yes" replies Juanjo. "Because I'm your friend". He puts his arms out. "If you want to kill me go ahead and kill me". "Yes, I'm a murderer". "I grew up full of hate and resentment thinking about the man who killed my mother and left me without a family".

"I grew up like you and didn't become a criminal" Navier says.

"That's why I always admired you." "That's why you were my idol". "The best, the most intelliegent, the strongest". "Not me". "I was weak" Juanjo says.

"You were a valet parking just like me at Estefy's wedding" Navier says.

"At that wedding, I committed my first crime". Juanjo tells Navier he killed Artemio Hidalgo.

Navier is impactado.

"Estefy had to be a millionaire and a widow because she loved you and she wanted to be the Queen of Diamonds" Juanjo says.

Flashback:
Estefy hugs Juanjo and asks him to help her.

"I accepted because I was grateful to her for having taken me out from what was most similar to a dump" Juanjo says. MM was Etefy's lover and he also wanted her to be a widow and suggested switching the medication Artemio always received for a virus.

"The lethal virus that Victor and MM were fabricating" Navier deduces.

Juanjo nods his head. Juanjo switched the syringes. It wasn't difficult. It was a little compared to what he owed Estefy.

Flashback:
Doctor injects Artemio with what is supposedly medication.

"That's when a revenge with no end started because you always saved your Reina De Corazones" Juanjo tells Navier. Juanjo thinks his three babies should be being born right about now. He wants his babies to know one day that they had a father who made a mistake and payed. Juanjo puts his arms out.

Navier puts down his gun.

"Why are you putting the gun down?" Junajo asks. "Aren't you going to kill me?" "You can say it was self defense and no one would know".

"I'd know and despite everything you did I couldn't live knowing I killed you" Navier tells Juanjo.

"Even at the last moment you are admirable amigo" Junajo tells Navier.

Navier pulls out his handcuffs.

The Chiche Babies Are Born

Susana gives birth to her triplets. She thanks God.

Laz Makes His Decision

Moto enters forensics and attempts to stop the waterworks. Laz shows up. She asks where Agatha is. Laz replies that Agatha stayed with Greta. Moto asks Laz when he'll leave with Greta. Laz ain't leaving. Greta understood. Agatha will be raised with them. She'll have two mothers. And he'll have only one wife - Moto. He kisses Moto. Moto can't believe it - is Laz serious? Yes he is. He tells her he fell in love with her despite her fears, bad humor, cynicsim, her dead people, etc. He either fell in love with her despite all or because all that but he loves her. Who knows. He kisess her. She tells him she loves him. They kiss.

I Was Her Shadow

Juanjo and Navier are in the elevator. Navier tells Junajo that there are things that have been left without an answer and others he's been able to deduce. To begin with why did Juanjo help Navier lock Estefy up in the looney bin?

Juanjo tells Navier that he wanted to change because of Susana. But everything went out of hand and a lot of innocent people died. That's why he helped lock her up. She got back at him when he went to look for Susana by shooting him. She was going to kill him.

"What happened next?" Navier asks.

Juanjo tells Navier that they forgave each other - they aren't really normal. They were able to forgive each other. He helped her. He was her shadow. The shadow that put the sleeping gas for Navier and Reina.

"You were that shadow?" Navier asks. "The same that went to the lab and set me free?".

"Yes it was me" Juanjo replies.

Navier and Juanjo arrive at the CIA lobby. PELS informs them he has it all ready for Juanjo to be transferred to prison.

Moto and Laz shows up. "What have you done?" Laz asks Juanjo.

Juanjo apologizes. He says he loves them. As he is taken away he tells Navier and Laz that until Susana showed up they were the only real thing he had. He is taken away. Moto consoles Laz.

Esmeeth walks over towards Navier. She tells him to go back with his family. Navier tells her that he's her family too and they always wait for her. He calls her Mama. She hugs and kisses him and leaves. Navier takes his pills.

Izzy shows up and tells Navier he has the address to Victor's hideout. He hands Navier the address written on a piece of paper.

Navier tells Izzy they'll go together tomorrow. He sends Izzy home.

"The home I have thanks to you" Izzy tells Navier.

"The home that you won" Navier tells Izzy. "Go on home with your family". "We need to rest".

Izzy leaves.

From Criminal To Published Poet

The home Izzy won is none other than the De Rosas mansion. Connie sews when Izzy arrives home. He holds a gift for her. Connie babbles on about not knowing if she'll get used to living in the mansion and missing her old neighbors. Izzy tells her he has a gift for her. It's a book. He dedicated it to her with lots of affection. Connie babbles on and asks him if he bought the book on a 2 or 1 special. She reads the title: Matar De Amor [Kill With Love] poems by Isidro Castillo. She's thrilled and hugs him. He tells her he took a literature class and no one knew about it.

Reina comes running in clutching her baby bump. "Where's Navier?" she asks Izzy. "In heaven with you" Connie says shocked. She passes out. Izzy grabs her. Reina apologizes. She didn't mean to scare Connie. Izzy tells Reina that Navier is resting. "No" Reina tells him. "He doesn't know I'm here". "He doesn't know I came" "He disappeared do you know where he is?" she asks Izzy. Izzy carries Connie over to the couch. He knows where Navier is and will take Reina.

You Don't Have The Heart To Kill Me

Some dads teach their sons to ride bikes. Others teach them to kill.

Ohh lookie there! Neron has a mini-ID 3000. Victor tells Neron that one day he will teach him how to use it. The maid comes and lets him know that someone wants to see him. Navier enters. Victor turns around. He's impactado.

He can't believe it. Navier pulls out his gun and aims it at him.

Maid takes little Neron away.

Navier tells Victor that he came to kill him. He advises his big brother to hire better security the next time.

Victor puts his arms in the air and tells Navier he's not armed. "Deep down inside you have a good heart and it'll break with the idea of killing me" he tells his little bro. "I'm your big brother".

"I'll kill you anyway" Navier tells Victor. "Because you were my nightmare, the ruin of my wife, you ruined my life". Oh no! The Dragon is feeling chest pains. He keels over in pain and Victor snatches the gun from him.

Victor aims the gun at Navier. "I told you your heart was going to break because you are a very good man unlike me who is bad" Victor tells Navier. "I'm going to enjoy killing you because I have dreamed about this death for a long time".

Navier tries to fight back but it's no use.

Victor tells Navier not to die on his own. He wants to be the one to kill him. He aims the gun. Navier is in pain. "Look at my face of happiness - all that hate and resentment wil finally have it's reward" he tells Navier as he aims the gun ready to kill The Dragon. Gunshot. Victor has been shot in the back. Victor turns around to see who shot him. It's Reina. Victor tells Reina that if he dies she'll die with him. He's about to shoot her but Navier pulls out his gun and shoots him. Izzy shows up with gun in hand. Victor falls to his knees. Is he dead?

Reina runs over to Navier who is still in pain. He passes out.

It's My Wedding And I'll Cry If I Want To

My Dragon awaits me

At the looney bin, Estefy wears a wedding dress and walks down the aisle as she hums the wedding tune.

"Uhhh what am I doing here again?" - Groom

She makes it to the altar where the groom awaits her.

Wait a minute there....you ain't my Dragon!

She realizs he's not Nicolas and he shoos him way by hitting him. Groom leaves. Estefy cries.

How To Save A Dragon

Reina pumps Navier's chest to resucitate him.

We hear a voice from Navier:
Because when you are born a Dragon you die a Dragon and there is nothing that can go against it.

Rena goes in for mouth to mouth resucitation. She pumps her Dragon's chest some more. She tells him he can't die. He can't abandon her. She won't allow him to abandon her. She does mouth to mouth resucitation again. It works. Navier opens his eyes. Reina is glad to see her Dragon is alive. Izzy who has come over towards them cracks a joke - "I told you it was hard to kill you" he tells Navier.

Reina starts to feel labor pains. Her baby is about to be born.

The Birth Of A Child Healed The Dragon's Heart

Reina gives birth. Moto helps out with the birthing. She hands Reina her baby.

Voiceover from Navier:
Nothing heals a heart better than being there with my wife during the birth of a child. It's life. A life that beat death.

Navier and Reina are with their newborn baby.

Death Beats Revenge

Voiceover from Navier (continued):
And death beat the thrist for revenge. The madness. The lost of reason. The hate. The resentment. Death almost always wins. It's the ace up the sleeve. The jack of all trades.

At the looney bin, we see the familiar "Betrayal is paid for in blood" banner.

Don't mind me - I'm just hanging around

The camera takes us above where see that Estefy has hanged herself. A rope is tied around her neck and she dangles from the tree.

I've come to tuck you in boss

Voiceover from Navier (continued):
Because even if you are the most astute player. The most clever. The most teneacious. Games end. Always. There are some people that play until the end. That risk even their life in the last game.

We are now at forensics, where Victor's lifeless corpse lays on the stretcher. Izzy comes into the room and stares at the corpse.

Sweet dreams boss

Voiceover from Navier (continued):
Until death comes to close your eyes and then all is darkness. Final. Empty.

Izzy closes Victor's eyes.

Split Screen: Estefy hangs dead from the tree while Izzy puts the sheet over Victor's corpse.

Voiceover from Navier (continued):
Maybe the game continues in hell. While those of us who are alive await the next game.

Esmeeth Can't Cook At Least Not In The Kitchen

PELS has a proposal for Esmeeth. "What is it about?" she asks. "For you to stop being an agent" he replies."What does he propose?" she asks. He's not proposing a wedding. He doesn't even have a ring to give her.

PELS and Esmeeth have moved over to the couch and begin smooching very passionately. PELS has removed his shirt. They are getting it on the couch.

PELS is not proposing a child or a family. He's proposing adventure, adrenaline, suspense, mystery, and lots and lots of sex, and love. All the love in the world. He loves her. Does she know why he loves her? Because she's a ruthless agent, a good accomplice, a good friend, a selfless mother, a very sexy granny, a bad cook, and a marvelous lover.

The Queen And Dragon Get Married

Now we are at Reina and Navier's wedding. Clara is there. Connie is there with Izzy and she holds Neron. Moto and Laz are there with Agatha. PELS is there with Esmeeth. Asuncion is there and holds the newest member of the Dragon family. PELS walks Reina down the aisle where her Dragon awaits her.

Reina and Navier stand at the altar as the priest speaks.

Voiceover from Navier:
Because in the good stories love is the only reason why a woman says...

"I do" Reina says.

Is the mini-ID 3000 waterproof?

Connie takes off the mini-ID 3000 from Neron and puts in the flower vase.

Vocieover from Navier:
And that was the end of a story of vegence, madness, and deaths.

Reina and Navier kiss.

Voiceover from Reina:
And the start of a love story. Happiness. Life.

Voiceover from Navier:
Start and end.

The mini-ID 3000 falls to the bottom of the vase.

Voiceover from Reina:
Eternity.

Voiceover from Navier:
And a million of forevers that started to become possible.

Reina and Navier leave the church as husband and wife.

A Sequel Perhaps?

Voiceover from Navier:
And years passed. Until one cloudy night in an alleyway in Las Vegas I found a corpse with the diamond mark on the neck and lips sewn shut. And a curse that I more than anyone knows is true. That only a goddess and a queen is immunue to.

Navier walks down an alleyway and finds a corpse of a woman.

He turns the coprse over and we see the woman has the diamond mark on her neck and has her lips sewn shut.

Along with the corpse there is a red diamond. Navier picks up the red diamond and he takes it with him.

The End????
Navier leaves.

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! Thank you, Mauricio, for this and all the other recaps you have written here. Your work is uniformly wonderful, of course, but this time you've outdone yourself! You cleared up points that I missed when I watched (obviously, I'll have to watch it again -- there's nothing else on after the news!)

I didn't understand that it was the mini ID-3000 that Connie dropped into the vase until you pointed it out!

A sequel? I think they need to find a different studio. Is Caracol still in business? I will surely keep an eye out for Marcella's next novela.

I'm sure I'll have more to say later...

Fantastic recap, Mauricio!!! I've been watching it take shape by peeking on Preview. I couldn't wait for it to be done. All your recaps have been excellent. This novela been such a blast.

The big news is that I didn't cry and I almost always do at the end of a novela, especially one I like as much as this one.

This gran final seemed very chopped up, which may be the explanation for the change in Reina's dress and necklace.

Some random thoughts:

Once again a sniper, or in this case, two snipers, stand in full view of a whole bunch of people and no one looks up. So poor Connie (but obviously not Izzy) thought Reina, Navier and Clara were dead until Reina shows up at her house?

I thought it was funny that women (Moto and Asuncion) had to keep giving Navier his pills as if he was a 6-year old.

Susana had a vaginal delivery of three enormous babies! Wow!I guess they'll keep her busy.

Estefi's looney bin appeared to be an abandoned church.

There was absolutely no explanation of why ORBO decided to kill Victor.

Another thing that wasn't explained was Reina's being hit by the limo at the very beginning of the novela. Maybe it was just an accident.

Did anyone notice that there was an exterior scene of the S&S Detective Agency just before FELS and Esmeeth got in on? I guess FELS left the CIA and started a detective agency and was asking Esmeeth to join him.

I'm sure I'll have more later.

What an absolutely magnificent recap- as were they ALL- THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, gang, for giving this wonderful, entertaining, bright, and clever novela the respect and attention that it DESERVED, but that the shameless clowns at Telemundo refused to give it.

I actually hope that this one will come out on DVD or something, as I know it'd be one that would continue to give pleasure with repeated viewings... Anyway, my thanks again to everybody, and my continued best wishes to all from here in Nicaragua.

Siate felice!

Stevey :-)

(P.S.- Lorenza from 'La Gata' called: she wants her necklace back.)

Thanks to all of the wonderful recappers on this one. I gave up on it early and have followed the end of it only by reading the entertaining recaps. I have to say that I absolutely love the first two screen-caps of Victor in this recap. The second one especially, in the limo with the red diamond, reminds me of why I adore Juan Soler--and he looks younger than he did in his previous telenovela.

I've never left a comment on this blog before, even though I started reading it for recaps of the Zorro novels, years ago. I really have to thank you all for your wonderful, hilarious recaps of Reina de Corazones. I haven't enjoyed a novels so much in years and you all made it even better!

Wow! Just brilliant ! I have been with you all from the beginning, I just didn't comment. Thank you! thank you ! and thank you. All of you recappers did a bang up job! Again thank you for going above and beyond the call of duty. I'm going to miss this novela. Telemundo don't know what they miss. Again thanks
Nicole

Gracias gracias gracias for the recaps. They have made sense of what Telemundo chopped into an incomprehensible nonsense! I am so mad at what they did to this wonderful show. It was quirky, ironic, parodic, didn't take itself too seriously yet had beautiful moments that were staged like classical works of art. Great leads. The whole cast was top notch, the music was great. Loved loved loved that they used that Enrique Inglesis video as their theme song. It will always remind me of Reina de Corazones.
Think of all the casting directors, photographers, actors, caterers, costume designers, set designers, directors, writers, etc whose work was BUTCHERED when Telemundo decided to edit this telenovela to the point of sometimes squishing three or four episodes into one. Shame on them.
~ Clarita's Pencilcase

Anita, I enjoyed the recap. Best part was when you put the title: "Just shoot the darn rifle already" LOL.

Muchísimas gracias to all the recappers for your heroic efforts to thwart Telemundo's destruction of this very special telenovela. Unfortunately, I was traveling for many weeks, and when I returned I felt very distant from what was left of the novela. I watched the mangled episodes and read the marvellous recaps and comments, but I never recovered the enthusiasm I had felt at the start. What I enjoyed most as the recaps were drawing to a close were the inspired captions on the photos. What a delight!

Again, many many thanks.

Mauricio - thank you for the recap, the snark, the hilarious screen caps & captions, and the hours of time, and work you have given us over the run of Reina! Thank you!

Jean - I noticed the S & S building and wondered what that was about. Smith & Smith makes no sense because there's onlu one Esmeeth....

LOLA when Victor put a Mimi-me Injecto-Death 3000 on Neron's wrist. I was so glad Connie dumped it into that vase no wondered why she waited so long to do so. I guess she and Izzy will raise the spawn of Victor and Cobra. Eek.

Stefy stole the show,as far as I'm concerned. That was a very swanky manicomio and her Reina 2.0 was just plain fun. I loved how much she actually looked like ReinaAnteOjos! Catherine Siachoque deserves some sort of award for this role.

When the sniper shot our happy three, it struck me funny how they were lined up when they fell, instead of naturally falling.

The alley where Javier found the latest victim looked a lot like the alley where not-quite-dead Izzy was found.

After Victor died, who acquired the four red diamonds? Who was that female vic and why would her killer leave the diamond with her? Methinks a sequel is in order.

Well, I am out of town and on free hotel WiFi, and for some reason after previewing my post above, my iPad would not allow me to make any corrections. Nor did it require me to prove I am not a robot. Go figure. BUT please forgive the typos above because I tried to fix them, but, like I said........

It has been a pleasure watching Reina with all of you. It has been a while since I enjoyed a telenovela as much as I enjoyed this one, and my viewing companions here ( all y'all ) made the experience an even richer one. I'm sure I'll think of more to say (LOL)but I might wait until I'm home and back in my desktop. :-)

I have a theory about the sewn lips/injecto death killer 2.0 ... Mama Greta ain't so carefree and sweet as she looked in the play park montage. She is half Victor, half Steffy. Maybe she'll get her own spinoff series...? I'd LOVE to see some of these characters back.

Maybe the S&S private detection agency stands for Smith & Sleazeball.
Sexy& Short?(Smith only)
Slimy and Sad-faced (Picasso only)
Sister Shagger (Picasso only...remember the bookshop lady?!)

~ Clarita's Pencilcase

Mauricio, Jean, NovelaMaven, Caroline, Sara, (and Stevie, who pinch hit admirably), and to all of my fellow Reinamaniacs, all I can say is thank you.

What a fun ride it's was!

Penny

Most likely we're going to see a sequel here.

Wow! That's all I can say about this spectacular recap from Mauricio, and this amazing team of recappers who went above and beyond to recap multiple episodes, look for full episodes, and then just ignore Telemundo all together to allow us all to enjoy the end of this tn at a normal pace. Thank you all!

Overall, I think they did a good job tying up the storylines. Yes, making Juanjo the accomplice was good twist, but I'm still not buying the motive, or really the motive of any of the members of the I Hate Reina Club. Their motive was so flimsy that anyone could have been a member of the club. They could have out of the blue said that Connie and Laz were the kids of the Cayote cook, who was killed by Pedro, and they too would have been members of the club. Or that Moto was the daughter of the gardener, and she too would have been part of the club. Let's face it, having that many people being ticked off enough at a person because her dad (who they already killed) had killed their parents when she was a baby, is just a weak plot device. But it also meant anyone could be a suspect.

But, I was glad to see our Dragon family all together at the end. Connie and Izzy raising the spawn of Vic and Cobra- I'd watch out for that kid. I was happy that Laz chose Moto. I totally think Greta is the new killer. And just how is she doing this joint custody thing with Laz and Moto? Isn't she a fugitive, because he know, she killed someone?

FELS has so many names now that I can't really remeber what his primary name is. Isn't it Fernando de la Santa Cruz? So the agency would be Smith & Santa Cruz, S&S.

Vivi, his name was Fernando San Juan, so you could be right. Legally, I suppose, he is Patricio Picasso, sharing the surname of his adoptive family. He might choose to call himself Gregorio Pérez, but that's dubious.

S&S -- Smith and Son? :D

Does anyone else remember how the over-the-top thriller, Aguien te mira ended? The kid, the BSC killer's son, looked at the camera and brushed back his hair in a gesture that was the signal that the evil side of his father (played creepily by Rafael Amaya) was taking over. At the time, we had a little discussion about it and what it meant.

Now, I think it was just the writers winking at us. I think the same is true of the "years later" montage in the very alley where all bad stuff seemed to happen in this novela -- the writers were winking at us.

Certainly, there are plenty of potential demons running around, or at least characters who are, shall we say, genetically loaded -- Greta and Nerón both have a double-whammy, genetically speaking. Agatha might take after her mother. Who knows how Juanjo's kids will turn out.

Motivation for the I HATE REINA club --
Yes, at first blush, it seems quite flimsy. The club depended completely on the influence of its charismatic leader. It was Estefi who kept the flames of resentment going. Underlying the IHR club was the CULT to the Queen of Diamonds.

The EDITING --
Some ham-handed editing is evident in these final episodes. The difference is that, at the very end, the Mexican audience was subjected to the same treatment as we were.

So when Mauricio, like the rest of us, puzzles over Reina getting dressed up in her "fugly dress" and absurd necklace which then disappear from sight, we know that an intervening chunk of material was removed. This scene had to stay because it had the Garnier product placement.

I'm sure they shot more scenes about Greta than were shown. They used what they considered the bare minimum to resolve the Laz/Moto dilemma while completely ignoring Greta's legal and emotional issues.

There was probably more Emilia stuff too -- why introduce a new character with such a detailed background only to drop her like a hot potato?

And what happened after Connie was shot? When did the CIA decide that Izzy had "earned" the De Rosas mansion? (This, by the way, was wonderful -- the faithful dog and the little seamstress end up in the palace!)

It's possible to go on and on about missing scenes -- I wish they'd have a heart and just show the final 20 episodes as they were originally shot. Wouldn't you love that? I would!

San Juan! Thanks NovelaMaven. I knew it started with "s". Well, Smith and Javier both continued to go by their CIA names, so it makes sense that Fernando kept his CIA name and didn't use his pre (Greg Perez) and post-adoption (Pat Picasso) names.

Javier should really be Nicolas Nunez (or de Rosas), and we know Smith is really Virginia de la Vega.

wow!

Mauricio, you sure set a high bar when it comes to excellence,
thank you so very much!

Bad Cops,
Bad Cops,
Whatcha You Gonna Do?
(novela song of the year)

and Jean as well!, (since I only get Telemundo I enter this blog through that door and wasn't aware of your recap until after Mauricio's appeared)

and many thanks to NovelaMaven, Caroline, Sara, Anita, Stevie , the Commenteers, and anyone else who added to this wonderful experience.

and as we sit here in the Library, in our big chairs (gowns and jackets) sipping fine cognac, (cigar anyone?), savoring this fine novela, what I find to be most satisfying, is to be here with you all.

ah yes the story,

I think of Catherine Siachoque (Estefania) as being one of the greatest actresses that I have ever seen, (which was really brought home in ¿Dónde está Elisa? where you could begin to see how she was layering more than one identity into her one character), and as in the intro when she takes a big draw on that cigar, I always have to think, who is this woman?

Paola Núñez (Reina), wow, a flower in the desert, and mi poor Reina, what a trooper, I don't think there was one epi where someone wasn't tormenting her, and when the bad guys took a break, Clarita and Javier jumped in, but always the passion!

I still have some lingering questions on Asunción, (and yes she can pick them) did anyone get her timeline, was she married to Pedro, had Reina, cheated with Coyote, shot by Pedro, changed her name and worked for / slept with, Big O? (I guess Victor didn't give her a chance)

Wanda D'Isidoro (Susana) does clueless with the best of them.

and Eugenio Siller finally gets the recognition he deserves,
(he will always be the Dragon to me)

what an incredible cast this was!

thank you so much Marcela Citterio, for mastering this writing style,
a 2 hour action movie stretched into 140 hours, wow!

Thanks a million, zillion, Mauricio, for the fine recap of the finale. Your screen shots were wonderful!

I didn't really care for the sewn lips corpse at the end. I guess I'm a sucker for romantic TN endings and prefer a wedding!

I always laugh when I see those dozens, maybe even hundreds, of candles when the protagonists are ready to get it on. Wouldn't finding all those candles and enough book matches and making sure they don't topple onto your naked flesh en plena acción kind of be a buzz kill?

I WAS hoping for a more fitting end for Victor. I think he deserved being locked up in a dungeon with no cigars, no brandy, and a scruffy orange prison jumper instead of his elegant black designer clothes.

This has been a terrific, fun journey with probably the best cast of recappers and commenters ever! I've enjoyed every minute spent in cyberspace with you all!!!

You're thinking we're going to have Part 2 ?

Still confused as to who was the mole at the CIA??

Thank you everyone for all your comments! I'm going to miss the novela and our Reina Caray Caray page! I will definitely check out the next Marcela Citerrio novela.

Reina never did get her memory back. I was hoping being whacked on the head by Estefy would help her get her memory back. But that didn't happen. Oh well. At least she was able to remember some things like when she met Navier.

I loved how Izzy became a published poet and an agent.

I think Estefy committing suicide was fitting since that is what she originally wanted Reina to do.

They could have been a little more creative wtih Victor's fate. But then again it was nice that Reina and Navier who Victor hurt so much were the ones that put a stop to him in self defense of course.

I wish we would have had an update on Juanjo after the time jump.

Neron could very well be the one who committed the crime at the end.

It would be great to have a sequel but I don't think it will happen. I agree with NovelaMaven that they did that to wink at us. I think Marcela did something similar at the end of Corazon Valiente.

Anon at 12:05 - There were a lot of them throughout the whole show. LOL But the last mole that we saw was Mauro Montalvan.

I just don't know what I'm going to watch now! R d C was my first ever telenovela.
~ Clarita's Pencil-case

Thanks Mauricio for ending this tn with such a fabulous recap! & a BIG thank you to our recapping team & commentators, it was fun watching this tn with ya'll!!

Oh what the heck! It's the grand finale. Let me hug you and put an end to this whole "I hate my mother" storyline! This seems to kind of sum up the last episode. When Javier confronted Victor at the end, I was like "there are only 7 minutes minutes left, I want to start seeing the happy endings!!"

There was absolutely no explanation of why ORBO decided to kill Victor. I'm just going to assume that ORBO always wanted to take Victor out, but decided to wait till he thought he could take Victor unaware. Too bad for him that Victor trusted nobody.

I have no idea why FELS was smiling when he went to go visit Estefi & saw her in all her craziness (if it was someone from viewerville that would be more understandable). Would't he be sad that his precious sister ended up the way she did, no matter their deteriorating relationship?

I WAS hoping for a more fitting end for Victor. I think he deserved being locked up in a dungeon with no cigars, no brandy, and a scruffy orange prison jumper instead of his elegant black designer clothes. I was hoping for the same, as well for Estefi. Although, it's probably best that they both died. I feel like those two could lie, cheat, bribe, etc. their way out of any situation.

Mauricio's your Gran Final was fantastic. Will have more later.

Here is the Gran Final of the Body Count:

80a. (Addendum to 80. The Real Dr. Toledo). Mauro Montalban mentions to Stefi that he knows she had her “gente” kill Dr.Toledo. She admits it. (The mystery person in the hooded robe was none other than Juanjo, as he told Javier later.)

81. Mauro Montalban – stabbed in the back, by Stefi in her doll room. She takes the time to sew his lips shut and then moves the body to his old hotel room.

82. Estefanía’s 7-month fetus, born too early – suffered trauma after she and Cobra had a couch fight, doctors could not save him.

83. Two thugs at Emilia’s Restaurant-Bar – by some expert shooting, by memoryless Javier.

84. Dra. Mrs. CWD (Corrupt Woman Doctor) – by Injecto-Death 3000, by Victor for letting his infant son die. He dumps her in Ben & Jerry’s ice cream freezer.

85. Dr. CMD (Corrupt Man Doctor) – by Injecto-Death 3000, by Victor because he already killed the doctor’s wife. Victor is glad to learn his baby is alive. He’s very “grateful” to the doc. He gives him a big abrazo and the Injecto-Death 3000 treatment at the same time. Victor leaves him in the refrigerated room with his dead wife.

86. Cristián’ father, the Coyote’s bodyguard and Stefi’s nanny – assassinated by gunshots, by Pedro Hugo Ortiz and his merry band of assassinators, killed at the same time as Stefi’s parents.

87+. Too numerous to count – assinated by various gunshots, by Pedro Hugo Ortiz, Reina’s father. (Stefi gives Reina a run down of all the men, women, children and animals assassinated heartlessly, without mercy, for money by PHO.)

88. CIA Agent Ramallo (Bad Guy) – by some quick action shooting, by Izzy, Señor Quick Draw McGraw (Good Guy), when the would-be-assassin made it past security (QTH?) at Moto’s apartment, where the Rest of the Good Guys are trying to reverse the effects of Victor’s PHoo Juice on Javier.

FLASH! ONLY WOUNDED López 3.0 — by a bullet, by Victor when he tries to stop Vic from seeing Stefi and getting his baby. Vic orders his two goons to carry him out.

89. Two interlopers who have breached security, trying to get into Moto’s (formerly known as Javier’s hideaway) apartment to kill him – by some sharp shooting, by Patricio.

90. Pedro Ortiz, Reina’s father – by hanging himself and by poison, by Stefi administering poisoning in case he didn’t commit suicide to save Reina’s life.

The Reign of Death in Reina is Over With:

91-95. Cristián (becomes dead in a hail of CIA/FBI/LVPD gunfire), Cobra (by Victor and his Injecto-Death 3000), ORBO (by Victor shooting him), Victor (by Reina shooting him), Stefi (who hangs herself).

Anita - Thank you for the final body count. This has been a major project for you.

Victor needed to die at the end. If he had been locked up, he would have managed to escape or exact his nefarious evil-doing from the cell. Dead is best.

The final week of episodes felt chopped up and edited, so I agree with another post that there was probably a lot of great film footage left on the cutting floor. Wah.

It was a satisfying ending, for me. Izzy reformed and Connie got her Great Love Story (Yay!!!) All the baddies got their comeuppance, except for Greta, and that wink at the end with the sewn lips and red diamond were a nice wink to the viewers.

I still wonder what happened to the red diamonds after Victor died, but we will never know. Oh well . . . I enjoyed this telenovela immensely!

There will be one more Wisdom of the Dragon, so come back to check.

Clarita's Pencilcase--In the great wasteland that is currently prime time Uni and Tele, I think what I will do is go back to the beginning of Reina and READ the RECAPS again.

Deb--Loved your label for us. We were certainly the dedicated Reinamainiac Comenteers beginning with Capitulo Uno.

I fear the DVD will be chopped up even more than the last dozen or so episodes. Uni is probably patting itself on the back saying what a good job we did. They need sackcloth and ashes or ridden out of town on a rail.

Steve Boudreaux--you attribute the recap and captioning skills to the wrong person. It was not I--it was Mauricio whose delectable phrasing and captions gave us those comic pauses.

Mauricio--I'm still in awe of your recapping and screen shooting skills, with such zinging captions.

I meant Commenteers. Darn sticky brain and fast fingers.

This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.

Oooooh, SPAM! Must be Estefy from the grave. ;-)

It's bad. It's shown up on 5 or 6 old threads I'm subscribed to.

Anita, thank you for the updated Body Count. Impressive stuff!

About the ending --

I loved that Reina got to save Navier's life, first by shooting Victor and then by doing CPR on Navier.

I loved the recapitulations of the very beginnings of the novela, not just in the scene where Reina is almost hit by Nicolas's car, but also her voice-over at the wedding (something like 'there are many reasons why a woman says 'I do' ... this time for love).

I agree that the arch-villains had to die. There was simply no other way to contain their malice.

I also think it was fitting that they weren't tortured. Victor and Estefi were the sadistic and vengeful ones; Navier and Reina just wanted to get their lives back. Of course, as Mauricio pointed out, it was particularly apt for Estefi to die in precisely the way she envisioned and tried to orchestrate Reina's death.

It's unlikely any of the people involved in this wonderful novela will get the recognition they deserve. It was labelled a ratings failure and simply shunted aside. All we can do is sing its praises and hope that the writers and actors and production folks know that their efforts did reach an appreciative audience.

Thank you, Mauricio! Great recap!

I'm really bummed that this TN is over. Generally, by about the fourth to fifth month into a TN, I am starting to get antsy for it to end -- my blood pressure can only handle so much evil for evil's sake kind of stuff. But with RdC, I was enjoying every minute of it, up until they started butchering it and making it incomprehensible. Such a pity.
It would have been so much fun to enjoy it through the holidays! Oh well, such is life.

Regarding S&S, I was thinking Supremo & Smith. Let's face it, even if Picasso wasn't the boss anymore, he will always be the Supremo!

I bought a new car today. Guess what I got?
That's right, a KIA Soul! Not toxic-waste green, a nice pewter color :)

Clarita's Pencilcase

Clarita'sPC - congratulations on the new car! BE SURE TO CHECK EVERY NOOK AND CRANNY a for hidden red diamonds or Dragons.

If only!! x

Wish I could tell Telemundo and KIA that there was at least one good thing to come out of their ratings loss or whatever they think of RdC! Also, I bought the Enrique Iglesias song in the summer :)

Clarita's Pencilcase

Marcela Citterio, the creator of Reina, is on Twitter - @MarcelaCitterio . I sent her a tweet saying that myself & others loved the novela and hated what Telemundo did to it. She didn't reply but I got a notice that she "favorited" the tweet. So if you use Twitter and you want to let the person most responsible for Reina know your feelings, you have 140 characters to do so.

That's a great reminder, Jean. I did exactly that earlier on (even if tweeting makes me feel like a fool) and I think she 'favorited' what I wrote too, so I knew she had seen it and presumably appreciated it. Time to do it again!

I hate Twitter too and I don't really understand it but sometimes it's the only way to communicate with someone.

Well, Jean, I went ahead and let Marcela know she has another fan. I suspect 'public' figures, especially writers, who tend to be the unsung heroes in TV and film, really need to hear this stuff.

I tweeted her too, and she Liked it a few hours later.

THE WISDOM OF THE DRAGON
Subtitled: I Cannot Tell a Lie, Marcela Citterio Made This All Up

WEEK TWENTY-TWO – Mon Dec 8 – Fri Dec 12

An Amnesiac Dragon is a bigger pain in the butt than regular dragon.

A potent cocktail of PHoo Juice and Anti-Phoo juice drugs can make a dragon commit acts he wouldn’t normally make against his colleagues and loved ones.

A Dragon is not patient when time (and the novela he’s in) is running out.

A Drugged Dragon is not himself.

A Dragon Daddy only recognizes official dragona daughters, not switched babies.

Only a damsel’s love can save a dragon, as long as he’s well armed.

A Sleeping Dragon never sleeps.

A Dragon will self-medicate on the flimsiest of information; it only looked like a Pez dispenser.

A Dragon does not wear plaid—dead or alive.

A Dragon can >FF backwards faster through his life than ordinary people can >FF forward through commercials.

A Dragon can google the word Chiche in his mental data base and come up with a single hit, luckily.

A Dragon will risk immortality to save his damsel from a burning mansion.

A Dragon can stop a car on a dime to keep from running over his damsel.

An Immortal Dragon still has to stop and take his medicine.

A Dragon is way better than a chameleon, or a falcon, or a cobra.

A Dragon will hug his mother if it’s in the last few minutes of the Gran Final.

The best place for a dragon to get a math lesson is in a bubble bath, as long as it doesn’t confuse him.

A Dragon learns how to play dead and makes sure his damsel and dragona daughter have also learned the trick of not breathing and oozing fake blood.

A Dragon will never kill a friend, even if the friend turns out to be a killer.

A Dragon will kill his brother if the brother is a killer; his damsel makes a good back-up, though (and a great EMT).

The birth of a new dragon child heals a dragon's heart.

A Dragon makes a handsome groom, under the right circumstances.

A Domesticated Dragon will learn how to barbecue expertly.

A Dragon’s immortality is not inherited, it is earned through telenovela action.

This Dragon will live forever in our hearts. EL FIN

The Curse of the Red Diamonds is Eternal.

Anita, your latest Wisdom of the Dragon is a MASTERPIECE!! I love it!!! Got a big kick out of Dragon's ability to FF backwards faster than we can FF through commercials!

Anyway, thanks so much for doing this with such wit and skill.

I miss you guys a lot!!

(I know, way to many exclamations points.)

Sheesh. Way TOO many exclamation point.

Thanks Anita for the great and final Wisdom of the Dragon. The Dragon WILL live forever in our hearts and his wisdom in this blog!!

Anita,

Bravo! What a great farewell salute to our show!

This Dragon will live forever in our hearts.

It makes me long for bumper stickers and t-shirts!

Wonderful show, wonderful people to recap with, wonderful commenteers -- how often does that happen, my friends? Not very.

I need a bumper sticker like that for my new car!
~ Clarita's Pencilcase

Anita - Wow, you've truly outdone yourself! Thank you for the your final installment of the Wisdom of the Dragon. And of course, your subtitle "Subtitled: I Cannot Tell a Lie, Marcela Citterio Made This All Up" is absolutely perfect. I wondered how you would finish up that aspect and you have amazed me, yet again. :-)

"A Dragon will hug his mother if it’s in the last few minutes of the Gran Final."
My favorite part of El Fin.

"This Dragon will live forever in our hearts. EL FIN"
Absolutely.

I'm still going through Reinamaniac withdrawals. ~sollozos~

Until the next crop of Looneyvision/Telerisa novelas debut, I'm watching the original Colombian version of Las Juanas on youtube. Rafael Novoa is so young in it! He looks like a baby!! However, he just gets more hawt as he gets older!!! I much prefer the new millenium version.

I can already see that Las Juans is a wonderful comedy, even though I cannot understand half of what they say (none of that neutral-Mexican-speaking) but I get the gist of it and make up the rest in my mind. ;-)

Doris, aha! Another one whose heart goes pitty-pat at the sight of Rafael Novoa. What a babe he is!

What can we watch now? !! Seriously.

A word about the Wisdom. It was all of you that inspired this collection. It wouldn't have seen light without the input from Marcela, Eugenio, the dedicated recappers and the Reinamaniac Commenteers who inhabited this blog.

A special shout out goes to Our NovelaMaven who steered, cajoled, moved, enlightened, entertained, provided us with some brilliant prose, and always used correct grammar, English and Spanish.

Thank you, ALL. It was a pleasure belonging to this Crazy for Reina bunch. It just didn't last long enough.

Anon at 9:53: Do like I'm doing. Go back and start watching RdC again. It's just as much fun. You can spend your time on the dialog, since we already know most of what had us scratching our heads for so long.

Where are you watching it? YouTube?

Anon--I'm watching my saved DVR episodes. It was on OuTub, but you never know these days when they will be taken down for infringement and how long it will take for it to be reposted. Good luck!

Anita,

Thank you for the shout-out, amiga! I also have the episodes taking up space on my DVR, and I do believe it's time to start watching again from Episodio uno.

Your extras, plus your recaps and commenteering added enormously to our enjoyment here. Thanks for everything!

In case anybody comes back here, Telemundo has listed the actors for Duenos del Paraiso.

Our favorite RdC Spanish doctor, (who was NOT corrupt) and became enamored of Esmeeth - that would be Alberto Mateo - will play Sergio di Franco, a movie director in DdP.

thanks, Anita. I do like the mala suerte guy. (I don't hang out here, but I do get notified of new comments.)

So we're likely to have a slickly written, skillfully performed piece of ugly. Gah. I'll watch the first episode, but I definitely don't want to write about it ... well, unless it really surprises me.
