Hasta el Fin del Mundo #112 20150123 The Pig in the Blanket Grunts Over the Pig the Box
I was asleep and missed for first 10 minutes. I probably left out a lot, so please fill in anything that I missed.
Ripoll
The lovebirds, Chava and Sophia, are canoodling in the Mustang outside of Ripoll while Manjarrez poisons the big vat of chocolate on the inside. The sound of the alarms unseals their lips and the sight of the employees filing out of the building returns Sophia in the instant management mode.
When Dani appears without Alexa, Sophia tries to run into the building, but the guard stops her. Next Patrick and Silvana come out.
While Sophia runs around checking on the employees, Chava and Armando smell a rat. They believe that Patrick is behind this. They discuss how this has never happened before and on the day that Sophia is out of the building and Alexa is on a casting call, all hell breaks lose.
Once they are given the OK to return into the building. It is determined that there was a small electrical problem. Armando suggests that Sophia still check everything out.
Casting Call
Alexa gets the part. To celebrate her victory, she goes to a pet store and buys a miniature pig. When Alexa returns, she is freaked to learn that there was an emergency while she was away, but she is thrilled to learn that Sophia is back running things.
Casa de Armando
The invalid Irma removes the blanket from her legs and slowly stands. She stretches and takes a couple steps. She tells us that she is tired of sitting and pretending to lame. Irma returns to her wheelchair when she hears Nandito and Paco at the front door.
Paco tells Irma to accept that Armando hates her and move on. He also suggests that she see a psychiatrist to deal with her problems. People who jump off of buildings have mental problems that they might need to work through with a doctor. Irma thinks about being thrown off of the roof by Renzi.
While Paco is using his words of wisdom to cheer Irma up, Nandito responds to a knock at the door. Outside he finds a gift box that contains the little pig. Irma tells Nandito that he cannot keep that pig and especially a pig that Alexa gave him. Who is going to watch it an clean up after it? She's in a wheel chair and can't do it! Nandito promises that he will clean up after it. Paco butts in and tells Irma to let Nandito keep the gift that was given to her son by her husband's mistress. Yes, that's basically what he said. Irma tells him to butt out or get out.
Paco calls Armando and tells him to get home ASAP. There is an non-emergency at the house that he must once again leave his paying job for. Armando goes home and tells Irma that the animal stays, the but the pig has to go as soon as she recovers from injuries she sustained from her running leap off of a building. Armando reminds her that the house is his and he allows her to stay there.
Upscale Restaurant
Sophia confronts Silvana about Chava's allegations. Is it true that you and Patrick are screwing around? Once again, Silvana falls on her sword. She says that Patrick is innocent. She is the one who pursued him. She needed someone after she lost her baby and Patrick was there for her. Since Sophia couldn't make up her mind about Chava or Patrick, Silvana decided to make her move. Silvana admits that she is totally in love with Patrick. She encouraged Sophia to be with Chava so that she could have Patrick.

- Patrick tells Renzi about Sophia's lunch with Sophia. Renzi tells him clear out his desk because he might be fired.
- Patrick calls Manjarrez and compliments him on his great work.

Irma was right about the pig and I love pigs and this one was so cute. Is this a baby or a miniature? If it is just a baby he will be headed for the processing plant sooner rather than later. Hope Nandito knows how to litter train it. Nothing quite like the eye stench of pig urine. Of course, Alexa being her stupid goofy self could never be expected to think of the practicalities. She should have opted for a ferret, hamster, guinea pig or even a sugar glider if a dog were too mundane for her. But, hey, Alexa only thinks of herself and let the chips fall where they may and the company burn down even!

I was a little groggy so I missed what Dani said to Sophia about Alexa. I also missed what Sophia said to Silvana and Patrick when they came out of the building. Could someone please fill me in?
My brother strolls in to watch occasionally and asks a lot of questions:
Who is that woman (Alexa) and why did she buy that kid a piglet? Do his parents know she's buying him a pet? Had to explain that she's actually the dad's on/off lover and they're waiting til the wifey gets out of the wheelchair to resume their romantic escapades. Who in their right mind would think it's ok to buy your married boyfriend's son a pet, and a pig no less! What a nut. OSTRAS!
Another question. Is that Chava's car? No, he's a mechanic and this is a car he's been working on. Apparently, he's allowed to drive it around at will (probably testing the brakes, wink, wink). I'm sure the owner wouldn't be pleased learn he also gave the gf driving lessons.

Thanks so much, Cyn! I saw a tiny bit of this at the end and saw the adorable miniature pig. But, I certainly wouldn't want to take care of it! I can't believe Alexa thought it was appropriate.

Cynderella: when she comes out, Dani tells Sofía that she does not have to look for Alexa because she is not in the building but is taking care of pressing business at the bank. Sofía asks if the production was stopped and is told that it was. Then Patricio and Silvana come out. Silvana tells Sofía she is sorry she did not obey the directions to leave straight away but she had to make sure she brought some important papers with her. Silvana is carrying a stack of binders. Patricio asks Sofía what she is doing at the factory. She says she needs to find out what is going on inside and quickly finds out they are not letting anyone in yet.

"Paco butts in and tells Irma to let Nandito keep the gift that was given to her son by her husband's mistress" was my favorite line of many.
The pet store seemed to sport several exotic pets and at first, I thought what a great idea. But as everyone has noted, I was incredulous that she chose the pig (as adorable as it was). Now I like Alexa but some of her choices and reasoning escape me. This was one of them.
I almost felt sorry for Irma! I mean really, pigs need mud and muck and I also suspect not easily housebroken :)
Sophia (rather amazingly) tolerated Patricio's abusive behavior toward her and took Silvana's admission of her affair with Patricio rather cooly. This being the same woman who ranted and raved because Chava was with Araceli for one night while she was engaged. Inconsistent and baffling.

I wonder if, when they find out about the contaminated chocolate will Lucas start to put two and two together about the new hire Manjarrez?

Why does everyone refer to Armando as Irma's husband? Unless I missed something, Armie and IrkSome were never married
Considering she went to fuck up Alexa at the very Ripoff plant, I WOULD NOT be surprised by or put it past Irma to serve bacon with breakfast or dinner any time soon and salvage blood for pulling a Carrie. Because Armie has to divorce her. Also, it doesn't matter if their married or not. In a lot of situations, Alexa has crossed the line. 1st, I dare a b*tch to come to my house andmake out with my man in my house. She needs her butt beat for that. Secondly, Alexa knows that Irma can't stand her, so she shows up on Irma's doorstep with a gift for her kid? And not just any gift! She shows up with a pig! Now Irma looks like the bad guy for not wanting a pig (that we all know that she will have to clean up after) in her home. Now Irma has to argue with her kid and her man over some silly crap. I would be pissed if my MOM bought my kid a dog, let alone a pig. I don't like Irma, but if I were her, I act like I was lame, just so I could choke Alexa and sneak back into my house.
Armando is turning out to be as thick skulled as his buddy Salvador. How in the world does he view Alexa a prize? I knew she was frivolous and border line nut case but totally convinced now. I know twits like this exist, as well as the fools that want them. Can you imagine what Alexas reaction would have been if she had been in Irma's shoes? Do you think Alexa would have risked her life like Irma did to uncover nefarious conduct or how deep the puddle of pee she'd leave with the threat of death hanging over her if she spoke?

Alexa is as flaky as they come, but her heart (if not her scrambled brain) was in the right place in trying to cheer up Nandito. I wish she had picked the little dog (a Chihuahua?) that looked so sad in the pet shop.

I have a soft spot here because my godmother gifted me and my brother and sister with a puppy without first checking with my parents. When my parents saw how ecstatic we were, they let us keep him. I didn't find out until years later that they had no idea my godmother was bringing a puppy to our home.

Kirby, Alexander is the kind of girl who makes other women want to hurt her. They are called selfish women! Irma is bad. I don't like her, but if this were real life, Alexander would be hurt. Let's take Armando out of it. She is coming between a woman and her child. Almost everybody on this board said that they would not want a pig in the house. Now Irma has to fight the kid, the "father" and her uncle. None of which is going to be responsible for cleaning up after that pig. She looks like a witch to her kid because she doesn't want a pig in the house.

Oh Cynderella I agree with you. The pig was horrible choice. I just dont think Alexa is smart enough to know it was a bad choice. Dumber than a box of rocks. In her world had she been the recipient she would have been gaga over the little piggy for an hour then it would have in effect, become Fausto's piggy.

Sorry, but Araceli deserves an anvil just for taking advantage of a drunk dumb as a skunk Salvador in bed. To me that was rape. Now if she sues because of the recipes because she now has standing (because peanut head Paco signed over all of his worldly goods to her) eventhough Paco does not want that to happen, that will be a reason for a bigger anvil.

Keep in mind Araceli did do the nasty with Rodeo Clown Jacket too. I feel if she ends up pregnant with anyone's kid, it'll be his and she will own up to it off the bat. I seriously doubt she will pull an Irma and if she does, let's hope Pedro has a sister (like Ramon had Marina) who will catch wind before anyone else.
On another note, what is up with all the sex in this novela? I feel as if all the girls are pregnant and don't realize it yet. IDK HOW Lucas and Daniela made it out of that literal roll in the hay. Even though they had protection on, you would have expected her pregnant (and it's HILARIOUS Dani had before sex before both of her older sisters.)

Alicia, does Patricio still have a penis to make another baby? Then no, Silvana doesn't know that Patrick killed her baby.
Loving it. Sofia and Chava are finally on the same page in the hymn book. They make an impressive team.
