Mi corazon es tuyo, #117 January, 2nd Introducing: The secret! Fresh video edition available in a store near you

Happy New Year, my Caray fellows!!!! Hope you had some rest, a glass of champagne, made good resolutions that you will forget about by the end of the week and are all ready for what 2015 has in store for us.

The old (2014 old):
Enrique has resuscitated from his coma, but he faints once he’s outside his room.
Isabela is mooning over Angel, while impersonating one of her many alias, Ines – do you think that maybe Isa remembers that in another life she used to be called like this and she had to lie in order to live, while pretending to be a drug addict with a rich granny?
Soledad sees her daughter dance – being artistic must run in the family.
Fernando feels that something is keeping him away from Ana – yeah, a 4 meters dancing pole.
Ana is sure that Fernando will never forgive her when he finds out the secret. Soledad is sure that love is powerful enough to forgive everything. Ehhh… maybe after another 50 episodes of drama.

The new (2015 new!!!!)

At Chicago Dorofeo and a guy are sitting at a table and Doro signals Jenny and the other waitress to bring them drinks. Dana and Johnny watch them and Dana tells Johnny that the guy who is with the boss is a lawyer; they both agree that probably they have some shady business together.

The mansion
It’s late at night when someone calls the door. Bruno hurries to answer, in spite of Fer’s protests that he can take care of it. It’s Yolanda with two suitcases. She tells them that Isawretched has thrown her out of the house and she has no place to go. Fer feels bad for her, but he’s not too surprised, either, because he now knows that Isa is capable of anything.  He can’t let Yolanda stay with them, because she has done too many bad things. Yola objects that those were all Isa’s ideas, but Fer points out that she’s as guilty, for not stopping her daughter. He gives her some money for a decent hotel for the night and asks Bruno to call her a cab and help her with her bags. She thanks Fer for his kindness and on her way out she meets Ana and Soledad, who are returning home. She apologizes for everything that she has done. Sole feels bad for her, asks if she needs anything, but Ana is keeping a cool attitude. Yole explains that Isa threw her out, which she probably deserved after all that she’s done. Ana agrees that living with Isa is pure Hell and lets Yolanda leave.
Fer asks about their dinner date – it was great, the two pretend, and now they want to go to sleep, because they are tired. Sole goes up the stairs, while Ana and Fer make googly eyes at one another for a moment, while postponing their 2am kitchen date, because Ana is exhausted. Sole calls for Ana, so Ana has to run upstairs. By the way these two grown-ups are acting, they definitely need a chaperone just as much as Alicia.
After Sole tucks Ana in like she dreamed about doing so many times, the two pray together and hug. Sweet scene, they have good mother-daughter chemistry.
Fanny is in her room, when she gets a text. She’s happy, thinking it’s from Leon, but it turns out it’s Lenin, telling her he finished reading Pygmalion, but he can’t stop thinking about her. After she falls asleep, she dreams that she’s part of a scene from Pygmalion and Lenin is trying to kiss her. She wakes up startled and unhappy with the dream (I wonder…)

Isabela calls the hospital and finds out that Enrique is out of the coma, he even woke up for a moment during the day. She’s extremely impactada, she says to the camera that she can’t allow him to talk. So she puts on a wig, a pair of sun glasses and a hat and goes to the hospital.
She tries to suffocate Enrique with a pillow, but a nurse comes in just in time. Isa pretends to be his pregnant step-sister, who is wondering if her baby will ever get to meet Uncle Ricky. The nurse assures her that the patient is doing well. This is not the answer Isa was hoping for, but she has to postpone her plan for now. She leaves, once again staring at the camera menacingly.
Back in the room, Enrique is asleep and dreaming about singing a mushy, romantic song. Will he wake up with a completely new personality?
In the meantime Yolanda arrives at the hotel. She’s alone in the room, crying, asking for God’s forgiveness for her past mistakes and for her daughter’s, too.

In the morning
Short scene of the kids and Manuela in the kitchen, talking about fruits. Sarai is acting like a brat, but everyone seems used to it by now.

Fanny is telling Ana about her dream and Pygmalion’s story. She doesn’t like Lenin, so she wonders what the dream was about. Ana and Fanny’s talks are always great, their banter is so natural, they makes me forget they are actresses playing a part.
Ana wonders if Fer is up, because today he goes back to work. Should she prepare him a tea and go wake him? Fanny thinks this is a great idea, she should wake him up with a kiss - her willingness to see her dad hook up with the nanny is endearing and disturbing at the same time. Ana wants to talk in the evening, but Fanny can’t, she has plans with Leon.

In the hallway Ana meets Alicia, who wonders if maybe Ana could talk with her father to give her the phone back. Ana agrees and after Alicia leaves she starts singing Love is in the Air, just in time to bump into Fernando. They continue their puppy love dance and Ana looks like she’s about to faint any minute now. She wants to talk about Licha – who is so happy now, she doesn’t think that she’s ugly anymore, love has transformed her. Fer agrees, the power of love is obviously humongous and transforming and what not. He touches her cheek, she sighs…. Then pushes him away and goes downstairs
When she asks him to give Alicia her electronic devices back, he refuses, but then she asks him nicely, with a big smile on her face, so he has to say yes.
As they finish their conversation, Angel arrives at the mansion to take Soledad out for breakfast. He and Ana decide that she will take the twins to see him in the afternoon for their flu shots.

Fer is having breakfast with the kids. He promises them that they will continue to be his number one priority now that he’s back at work. He will always have time for them, to help with homework and talk. And this goes for Sarai, too, who is mellowing, even accepting a kiss from Fer when breakfast is over.
Alicia asks him if he had the chance to talk to Ana and he says that yes, she can have her cell back. Lots of besos tronados all around.

Fanny talks to Leon about meeting up later; then she thinks about Lenin’s text and the dream.

While Yolanda is alone in her hotel room, thinking about Isabela and trying to call her, the pregnant beast is screaming at Ramona, the maid, because the poor woman dared to try to talk to her in Yola’s behalf. Isa screams that she’s tired, her feet hurt, she’s bloated and she feels miserably, so she has no patience for this. She rejects her mother’s call and storms out, while Ramona cries.

Angel and Soledad are out, for breakfast. He’s sad, wondering if his dream will ever come true. Sole assures him that he has all the time in the world to meet a good woman and have a family ("Jenny, Jenny, Jenny!!!" Viewerville is screaming).

Fer is ready to go to work. Ana fixes his tie and he asks for a beso tornado, that he almost gets, before she pulls away. After he leaves, she says to herself that she should tell him the truth now. If only she had the guts…
When he arrives at work, everyone has prepared a little “Welcome back” party for Fer, which he finds very touching. He even says that he wants to change the furniture in his office. How about if he asks Ana to help? Her sense of colorful style would do wonders for that sterile place.

At school, Fanny runs into Nando and Edith. In a private moment with Edith, she asks her to borrow her room for a while and could Edith be a little late tonight? Edith says yes, she has better things to do, like smooching with Nando on a bench.
Lenin tells Fanny that their first class is off and asks her if she’d like to have breakfast together or some coffee. She says no at first, but then agrees.

Edith tells Nando about her nightmares and Nando is very understanding. Then she asks him about Ximena. Nando thinks that Xime is doing better now and he admits that at one time he was very in love with Ximena, but now he’s starting to fall for her. As they kiss some more, a suspicious looking guy watches them – I missed some episodes, is this the guy who abused Edith?

Leon would like to ask for a loan to buy a house. Great idea, this way Fanny won’t have to ask for Edith’s room keys anymore.
Then he goes to Fer with his designs for the new product. He’s a little shy at first, but everyone encourages him, so he finally shows the boss his work. Fer looks at them one by one, without saying anything.

Jenny is visiting Ana and they are talking about Fer and Nico. Jen is still not too happy with her situation, so Ana asks her if she thought about being with Johnny. She has, her brain is easing into the idea, but her heart is not.
How about Ana and Fer? What is keeping them apart now? That’s simple – Ana’s secret.

Fanny and Lenin are at a café and he wants to show her some video on his phone, when Fanny sees a video of Ana dancing on the pole.
She quickly calls Ana and asks her to open her laptop and see for herself. Ana sees the video and is impactada.
How long before Fernando discovers the video too, especially now when he’s back at work and having a computer screen in front of his eyes all the time.

I haven't seen any previews, so I leave you with this question: Who should we pair Angel with? He's got baby fever, apparently, and we don't want him with Ana.

I vote Jenny & Angel

if we must choose between women already on the show, I too vote for Jen and Angel.

I third the motion.

Fatima

Tofie and Marta, I love it! Maybe Nico can get buried in an avalanche in Switzerland and then Jen will feel completely free as a widow to get involved with Angel. Would that not be a breath if fresh air? Most likely Nico will return, lament and apologize for being an a-hole and go back with Jen. Just my guess.

We can dream, can't we?

Jarifa

Recap is up.
I vote for Jenny, too, so I added a note in my recap about it.

Maybe after an ill-fated attempt with Johnny the show goes the unpredictable route and puts Jenny instead of Ana in Angel's orbit.
One can only hope.

Thank you, Adriana, for the wonderful recap!

Yes, it was Edith's creepy perverted step brother spying on Edith and Nando.

Yolanda should get a job as a bartender at Chicago.

Love Ana saying "Fernando" with her American English accent just hanging on to that "o".

Loved Nando clarifying that he used the preterite "pluscuamperfecto" even (so funny) in reference to his having loved but no longer loving Ximena in response to Edith's question.

Seems like Ana is just about miss her opportunity to be HONEST with Fernando with him knowing there is something amiss, a barrier between them and now the online video. From the avances it looks like the kids might see the video first, but of course that might have just been a Televisa set up. Time for Ana to 'fess up. Nowhere to hide.

I need a taste after all this teasing... i need that puppy love dance to end in a kiss every now and then... even though the puppy love dance body language is good too... but in reality there is no way Ana could think that waiting any longer could lead to anything positive. I agree, fess up and show your cards, woman!!

Thank you, Adriana. Perfect recap of an episode that is preparing us -- I think -- for lots of new twists and turns.

Turns out Lisardo can sing. He is listed on-line as an actor and singer. Not my favorite tune but he did well with it. I did chuckle when he drummed his fingers on the bed after Isabela tried to suffocate him.

I agree -- Jenny and Angel.

The previews suggest that Ana is going to be embarrased not only in front of Fernando but also before the younger children. That will be very painful. As she said to Soledad, she feared losing them all.

Adriana, this is great and thank you.

"yeah, a 4 meters dancing pole"

Just to get it out of the way but I hope those little kids don't see that video. No way children can understand Ana's nuance in her justification for continuing to dance at a men's club.

I too was entertained with the Ricky coma, singing, finger drumming. Well done and unexpected.

Don't feel sorry for Yolanda at all. She also confirmed everyone's suspicion that Isabela poisoned Siete. Does Yolanda go further? Does Fernando fire Isabela?

Dammit Fanny, when it bites you I'm gonna laugh.

I got a little weirded out when Edith told Nando he was her therapy after he suggested she consult a therpist. First Ximeana and now Edith.

Great work, Adriana.

Fanny was very weirded out by that dream. Imagine realizing that your classmate sees himself as your Henry Higgins? When is she going to stop being a "nice" girl and tell him off?

She should definitely not tell Leon about this one.

I don't know if I feel sorry for Yolanda. This was coming in the last few episodes. Maybe Ramona will quit because of Isabrat's abuse but first I'd like to see her find out some dirt on her.

Speaking of which, she made another mistake telling the nurse that she was pregnant. That will get back to somebody before another few episodes go by. That was rather a stupid-looking disguise as well.

Before we got the footage of Lisardo singing I thought he had been conscious all along and heard what she was saying. But that would have probably cut about 10 episodes.

Help! my comments keep getting lost. Is it just me or is there a problem? Hope this one gets through. Awesome recap Adriana. Thank you. Enrique sounds good. I love this kind of music..
Ana keeps missing opportunities to come clean. Her fear aside its the right thing to do. Payback time is sweet. What did Yomama expect? Isa never respected her, and like Fer said, she said nothing.

Every time I see someone wearing a hat and huge sunglasses (especially when it's dark, or overcast, or INSIDE) my first thought is, "That sneaky person is up to no good, I better keep an eye on her/him!"

Thank you to all of the wonderful recappers who kept me up to date over this holiday season!!!!!

All of these dream and now siniging scenes just feel like filler to me but I did enjoy Lisardos singing. I wish he would wake a completely different person. That would be fun. He could sing at Chicago!

I'm on the Jen and Angel team.

Will Yomama finally tell Fer the truth abt the baby? If she wants forgiveness it comes with a price.

Great recap Adriana. And you sure have your pulse on the denizens of viewerville.

Add me of course to the Angel/Jen team. I thought of those two way back when Nico first started being an idiot. I pray for a re-direct on the Jen/Johny hinting because as long as she has known him, there would have been a glimmer on her side of something...and I don't see it with her towards him. I'm still thinking that Isa's baby would be the perfect addition to a Jen/Angel pairing. Isa isn't going to want that baby when all is said and done.

I don't feel sorry for Yolanda at all. You reap what you sow and she laughed and encouraged right along with her daughter. Isa didn't MAKE HER do anything.

I'll say it again...NO on the Gabriel front. What? Nando has to get beat up again over the girl? Isn't this a been there done that on the plot?

Ok, I won't be popular saying this, but frankly I'm really tired of the high school girl crush looks from Ana to Fer and the captain of the football team moves and swagger from him. Enough already....she needs to fess up, some roll model of being honest to the kids, and these two need to sit down like two adults and talk about what relationship they have or just move forward already.

And by the previews, it looks like the kids are going to see that video? Yep, Fer will be the ultimate last one to know. That will go over really well...NOT

Maybe Lisardo can sing us a song before the you know what hits the fan. A rather calming voice he has when he's not horsing around.

Daisynjay

Carvivlie...
regarding: He could sing at Chicago!
lets see... Fernando buys the Chicago, hires Johnny as the manager and provides triple the security so it will be a safe clean place...
Freeky can sing,
Johnny can do a stand up com (maybe NOT on that one)
Angel can do some magic
Sebastian can do some choreography
Nando can do some light effects (a la light black outfit dance performances in America's got talent in the last few years) and internet marketing,
Fanny and Edith can dress the dancer girls...
Jen can train the bar folks...
Leon can do some nice modern graphic drawings for the walls...
Diego can make posters with photos of the dancers and ambience.

Now that is an idea. It could become a new version of the Playboy Club.

And let's not forget Manuela and Margarita supervising the kitchen. It will need food!

yeah! that sounds yummy!

of course Fernando would peek out of the mgmt office when Ana performs... lol.

but i have to join DaisynJay on getting tired of the puppy love looks (and nothing else)... some steamy action please!!

Definitely, "Yes" to some steamy action.

Thanks, Adriana! Happy new year to you.

I'm glad Fer didn't allow Yolanda to stay in his house. Maybe he's finally starting to learn a few things. Also I'm glad he stated that she is also guilty for enabling Isabela's schemes...and then of course there was the time she pretended she was Ana's mother, which was not passive at all; she was actively being villainous herself. So, I have no sympathy for her. Money for a hotel for the night was really exceedingly gentlemanly; certainly better people than her sleep on the streets every night.

I am also in favor of Jen and Angel getting together and ending up with Isa's baby. Just Say No to stupid Johnny.

I would like for Ana and Soledad to end up with Chicago and turn it into a performing arts school. They could have classes in music and dance and theater and put on recitals. They could also have evening performances by professionals...maybe a little dance or musical theater company that the school feeds into? Then Ana could perform in a wider range of styles and for a better audience than leering drunks.

Well said about Ana and Fer acting like high school kids. This show is so deficient in steam that I have taken to supplementing my viewing with Tierra de Reyes. That is way steamier, and Arturo spends 99% of his time standing around with the same sour expression on his face! Yet he is still getting more action!

I just never have been a fan of "cutesie" between two mature adults on a TN. Enough, enough already. Cutesie is okay for Fanny, Nando, Sebas but they need to draw the line before we all go into sugar shock.

J in Oregon

Also, the nightclub dancers on Tierra de Reyes are WAY more provocative than Ana's dancing. Maybe it's because I've been watching that show that I'm even more eye-rolly that Ana thinks Fer will be so angry and scandalized by her dancing.

Being home today, I caught an hour of Teresa and I swear, there were more hot and steamy "looks" in that hour than in all these past weeks with Fer and Ana. I want adult looks and love. I don't know if the puppy dog looks from Ana is more to the character, couple that with the adolescent "Beiberish" screaming, it's starting to put her in an immature light, and I don't think that's fair to the character. She had to "grow up" fast and was on her own. I would like to see more of that confidence and strength, not have her turn to mush because a man is around. I hate the fact she feels, well not-worthy, of Fer. He would get upset...I would be "Get over yourself! Do you know what it is to survive on the streets? I made mistakes, don't like it and think I'm now trash, well I thought better of you too" ARGHH!! Ok rant done.

Daisynjay

A big YES to everyone who mentioned the puppy love thing. Makes me not want to watch the show anymore.
Julia, ditto about Tierra de Reyes. How ridiculous was Arturo on that horse on the beach? And yet, he got the job done. Which is more than what we can say about Fernandô

I was hoping that was a REALLY PRIVATE beach. The dialogue was ridiculous. But yes, the beach and the horse and the shelter built of bamboo (which is so readily available on Texas beaches, I assume) did get the job done.

I haven't been watching long enough to have any idea WHY she wanted to get with him. "Mmmm...sourfaced crabcakes guy who knows NOTHING about construction*! Gotta get me some of that!"

*The construction site on that show takes ridiculousness to new heights. Those guys do NOTHING, and they have had the same column forms up for weeks and they don't appear to have even put in a foundation or floor slab yet. I also don't see any utility stubs. Or site power. Or most of the tools and materials they should be using. Just bags of cement that they never seem to use. But I imagine one of these days that house will miraculously be finished.

Thanks, Adriana, for the fantastic recap!

I apologize for the late post. I realize no one may even read it, but I add my two cents about Sarai. I wanted to smack her when she insisted Manuela call her Srta. Sarai, and then she addressed Fernando as "Fernando," not Don Fernando. Who does this kid think she is? Up to two days ago, even Ana called him Don Fernando.

Julia
I'm not watching TdR because I wanted to watch PdG instead. Not crazy about AD either.
But from one engineer to another, I loved your pick up about the lack of construction methodology --rather none at all, just bulk bags for muscle looking types to heave over their muscular shoulders.
Let me know if it starts to look interesting.

Thank you for the excellent recap!

I love all of the suggestions about the familia taking over the bar!

This is NOT a spolier, but I am very afraid that they are setting us up for Fanny to be attacked by Gabriel at Edith's place. I don't like the coincidence of him lurking just when Fanny borrows her place.

I'm maybe a sucker but (don't hate me) I'd like it if Nico get's his head out of .... Switzerland and does what he needs to do to get Jenny back. Then, as I suggested before they could adopt a baby in need.

As for Angel... how about Betty? She deserves better than Enrique and it would still have the added bonus of pissing Isa off.

Just curious, I've never seen a TN that didn't have someone try to smother someone in a hospital room. Is this madatory? I've only seen one where the bad guy succeeded, but it's seems to always be there.

I would so love for Ana to come clean and have the inevitable break up not come because he finds out elsewhere. PLUS the break up will be a nice BREAK from the puppy love mush!

@Anonymous 1:50
I often times wear glasses when I am inside if I have no make-up on or if my eyes are red and irritated which happens quite often with Graves disease. I assure you it is not that I am up to no good.

Thanks, Adriana :-)
I loved Lizardo's singing! Usually it is so lame when the writers try to contrive a way for a character to show off his or her singing abilities, but this time I kept rewinding and listening to the song again.

Here is the latest on the 2015 Novela schedule. Kate del Castillo will start about Jan 13 or 15.

If you want to be successful in smothering someone with a pillow, it would be best to remove the oxygen hoses going up the intended deceased person's nose. Jus' sayin'.

Huh? Are you watching Mi Corazon Es Tuyo?

Well, if you're going to insult me, at least pick a screen name. It's hard to take "anonymous" comments seriously.

Incidentally, I was kidding about the steamy stuff. I found the TdR scene I mentioned pretty silly. Sometimes I forget that tone doesn't communicate well in written comments.

However, I do think it would be possible for Fer and Ana to give the impression of not being in middle school without anything approaching porn.

Victoria, thanks for the link. It is always great to know what is coming on down the road.
