Mi Corazon es Tuyo #123, Who survives? The Baby or Isabela?
Labels: mcet
"he notices it’s Sebastian calling. And he answers it! Very unprofessional!"
Between Angel refusing to charge Fernando, taking a call from Sebastian during an exam of another and rushing to the house, how much longer before someone other than Soladad gets a clue he is trying to impress Ana?
It weirded me out, Fernando wanting Ana at the hospital as Isabela was delivering his child. Glad they argued, she should have choked the guy.
Fanny & Lenin are courting, I think she would respect Leon a bit more if they weren't.
So it continues, when Ana & Fernando are out of the house, Juan is in charge with his prospective squeeze at this side, who still happens to be the kids grandfathers wife.
Speaking of the kids grandfather, why has everyone given that turd a pass?
Fun episode.
Loved the Xmas decorating and Soledad's gingerbread men.
Good advice from Soledad to Ana when Fernando calls for Ana to come to the hospital and she is not sure. Soledad tells her to live for today because you never know when life will give you a surprise.
Loved the La Cסsteña production line footage.

Who is writing these episodes? There are some really, really creepy things lately:
-The new big oaf employee (is he another chauffer? what is his job), standing behind Manuela and wrapping his arms around her (ample) chest??? Not only checking out Jenny's body, but then making comments out loud so she and everybody could hear??? He should have been fired on the spot.
-The whole Johnny/Jenny thing as everybody mentioned is sickening. Now he's checking out her butt while she's on the ladder?? Is she still married or not??
Also, getting so any scenes with Fanny/Leon/Lenin is unbearable. Can Fanny close her mouth once in a while, or are those teeth too big.
Sorry for ranting -- did not watch this as much over the holidays and now it seems like things are going nowhere.
I felt really fed up with the show last night; REALLY fed up. Fernandope needed to realize the consequences of his one night stand with The Witch on his own. Yes, Soledad gave Ana good general advice, but I did not find it good advice for this specific situation.
I asked myself right then and there that if I were in Ana's position, would I go hold this guy's hand? NO WAY. NO HOW.
Watching Yomama and her witch of a daughter play Fernando so well just fries me. Fernando seems to stop using his head when these two miserable, pathetic excuses for women remind him that he has A SON. I get sick and tired of these TN going on and on about the importance of having a son...and yes, I am aware of the cultural differences, but it STILL fries me anyway.
Jen and Johnny...this story line makes me want to barf.
What is Osorio up to anyway with adding so many characters here?! I felt so fed up last night that I didn't want to see that Sarai kid's face; nor the new dopey chofer or whatever he is, and I am SICK and tired of Lenin.
The story is going all over the place and I'm not sure why. Last night, I had this horrible feeling (NOT a spoiler) that Ana's secret is going to come out during this time frame where Fernando thinks he is on top of the world because he has A SON.
I could SCREAM.

It seems the police haven't found anything in the other security tapes to hang on Enfrique, who must still be unconscious since we haven't seen anything about him.
I would be weirded out too in Ana's place going to the hospital. But I would also be somewhat pleased that this would annoy Hissabela.

If it weren't for the great recaps, the stimulating comments, and the few closeups of SN and JS's gorgeous eyes, I'd probably drop out.
Love it!
Tell it like it is!
Anybody else think that Nico had a prior commitment and had to "step out" temporarily?
Were Alicia and Ana only discussing Estefania's passing, or were they also discussing Alicia's feelings for Pablo? I got the impression Alicia's infatuation for Pablo was fading, and she was asking Ana for advice. Was I wrong?
Was it an earthquake that interrupted Isabruja? Did that earthquake only occur under Enfrique's bed? Isabruja seemed pretty steady on her feet.
Victoria et. al. - I'm glad you're frustrated with the ridiculous plots of this tn as well. Since this is my first tn, your frustration gives me hope that others are not as bad as this one. If I recall the tn ranking someone posted on the Caray site a couple of months ago, none by this producer received high marks.
For a novela that preaches socialist ideals (with which I happen to agree) from characters like Lenin and Edith, it's odd a character like Angel would offer free medical services and preferential treatment (answering Sebas' call during an appointment) to Fernando and his family. Seriously, Fernando does not need free medical services. Fernando should insist on paying for his family's services, so Angel can offer free medical treatment to those who cannot pay. Just sayin' . . .
I did learn one thing about myself from last night's capitulo. Next Christmas season, I want to leave for work in the morning and have a crew completely decorate my home, inside and out. Imagine returning home after work and finding everything decorated beautifully! Oh well, I can dream; can't I?
I'm sorry you're getting your first taste of a novela by watching this one. This is my second comedy novela and second one by Osorio ("Porque el Amor Manda" was the first), and I probably will never watch another.
If you'd like, please go to the pink sidebar on the main page of Caray, Caray (CC), about 1/3 of the way down, and click on "Telenovelas recommended by our crack bloggers and aficionadas". The most highly recommended novelas by CC bloggers are listed and rated in order. This is a great way to start your addiction to telenovela watching via YouTube, DailyMotion, Hulu Plus, etc.
I definitely recommend you watch "Corazón Salvaje" (the 1993 version), then "Amor Real", then "Alborada ", then "Pasión ". These were by far the highest rated telenovelas of all Caray, Caray bloggers.
Carla Estrada is one of the, if not the, best Mexican telenovela producers of all time! Unfortunately, she hasn't produced anything new in awhile. Three of the novelas I listed above ("Amor Real", "Alborada", and "Pasión") are known as her Trilogy of Novelas de Época. They are available in great video quality in a playlist version (all episodes compiled together consecutively) on YouTube (see uploader 66Angelanna) or on DailyMotion. "Alborada" is also now available on Hulu Plus.
"Corazon Salvaje" '93 is on YouTube, see playlists uploaded by "mr gafotas" or "Nibeluna1".
On the MCET recap of 12/01/2014, (Episode #95) I wrote an unfortunately lengthy comment about why I thought "Corazón Salvaje" '93 probably was the perfect epitome of a telenovela, written and produced to almost absolute perfection.
I came back to telenovela watching after an hiatus of about 2 decades, and this "hobby" has kept me sane as a bedridden old lady!
Sorry to all for getting carried away! Please accept my thanks.
I won't even mention Harvard educated Isabruja to save my breath.
I have recently been enjoying the new feature on Hulu + of telenovelas express where a novela is condensed to about 15 or less episodes with subtitles in English for those whose spanish is weak or nonexistent. I was able to watch Alborada and really enjoyed it. Now I know why everyone is so enamored with Fernando Colunga! Check out this feature I think many of you will love it.
Thanks for the tip, but I can't imagine cutting a Novela from 100+ episodes to a mere 15.
Imagine all the wonderful storylines you would loose!
We have a hard enough time dealing with poor editing, that I can't imagine making sense out of 15 episodes. Kinda of like the old Readers' Digest books, remember anyone?
To be fair, I will give it a try to see how it is.
For those of you with an interest in misogyny, there was an interesting article on femicide in Mexico published in the Huffington Post a couple of days ago.

cathyx, you did great with your recap and applaud your ability to try and make sense, or not, of the constant jumping around.
Random chauffeur dude has GOT to be related to Osorio somehow. He's not even a good actor.
A pole dancing school? Really Johny? So what's he going to do, ask Ana to teach? I can't even....
I'm actually looking forward to the big implosion I am expecting with Leon and Fanny...my guess, he's ready to play house and after talking to Lenin, I don't think Fanny is.
Did anyone else actually feel let down after the big build up of a "problem delivery". I would have given anything to look that good after a rough surgery/delivery with perfectly laid out hair. Heck, I was so tired I didn't feel like even washing my hair.
HATED that not only did Fer ask Ana to go to the hospital (clueless) but that she actually went...complete as always in her uniform (I'm really hating that thing.) Watch, she'll wind up taking care of the little thing...I love you, but you are the nanny and Isa is recovering so here's ANOTHER child for you to take care of. Thanks smoochies, off to work.
I think we're all getting a tad disenchanted.

EB and Victoria, if i needed to mention one or two novelas that could be considered by someone to watch online... i am not sure they are online from beginning to end, but i would suggest El Manantial (later version of same story from DBA that was Canaveral de Pasiones) and also Luz Maria (which is a period novela from Peru with a very young Christian Meier). The third I would suggest is also a period piece, Amor Gitano (also with Mauricio Islas, who stole the show in Amor Real).
1. Fernando calls Ana and asks her to come (go ahead and leave my OTHER SEVEN CHILDREN THERE, we will blame your mom if something happens)
2. Ana coming over right away (come on woman... one thing is not to want to tell him your secret, which is going to be making everyone more miserable with every minute you keep it to yourself... but you really want to come over and hear him talk about his baby that he conceived with a woman who is as far as a 'mother' as could be, and who has done everything in her power to make your life miserable)
3. THEN you get to the hospital and the first thing you think to do is ARGUE with him about his one nightstand with Isa at Malinalco AFTER he and you had already started having googly eyes at each other and even had a couple kisses. If you are going to go there answering his call/request for support, do you think he is really looking forward to you twisting the knife to him about the biggest mistake he has made in the last year? BEANIE TIME!!!
El Mantantial and Amor Gitanos, both with gorgeous Mauricio Islas, are available in complete episodes on YouTube.
If Fernando starts referring to "our" children, when in the presence of Ana, and includes the new baby I hope Ana puts a stop to it, quick.

Everybody (including Isa) made such a big deal about Isa's baby being a "seven month" baby...but it sure does not look 2 months premature. Maybe Fern should be counting back the months and realize that if the baby is full term, he could not be the father. Hellloooo, people! Somebody pick up on this!
I thought the new character Zeus plays the goofy, hulking employee to perfection. But maybe, he is just a goofy, hulking actor. There was no real excuse for introducing his character though...same thing with Sarai (except as a "love interest" for a 12-year old, ugh!).

I also agree with your points 1,2, and 3 above.
I was so hoping Ana would not go to hold Fernando's hand. I guess I am pretty much a witch, but if I had been in Ana's place, I KNOW darn well I could not be jumping up and down for joy at Fernando's latest child. I just know I could not give him that kind of unconditional support nor could I/would I be excited about this child's arrival.
All this means is that Ana will NEVER get rid of Isabruja. Somehow, I don't find that prospect too exciting.
Fatima
Of course he will ultimately learn that the baby isn't his. Whether he adopts the baby or not is something we can debate because when Hissabela's latest assault on Sebas is discovered she will pay. I doubt that Yomama will be qualified to raise this baby either.
I also think it's sad that Sarai is spending christmas with the Lascurains instead of her own parents.
tofie, glad you "hear" me on this point. I can also see why Ana started in on Fernando. It would be perfectly normal to have the birth of that child remind Ana of what was transpiring when she and Fernando first met. It might be illogical, but I see it as a normal response to the situation.
Fatima
I'll keep watching just for the interactions here on the blog.
Many thanks to all recappers!!!!
Unless the doc was wrong, which is always possible.
According to the early recaps, here is the sequence... Notice the Malinalco happened BEFORE any kisses...
* Ana starts working there
* Ana leaves when Fanny discovers her secret
* Luz talks to get Fanny to change her mind and to get Ana to come back. Fernando floored at Luz talking again
* Ana leaves again (was this because of that dinner where Fernando had invited the folks when Johnny tried to work as server) but when little ones disappear she comes back to help find them
* Ana falls asleep on Fernando’s shoulder waiting
* At Fernando’s birthday, she hugs him…
* then the dinner in the backyard with Ana wearing Fanny Sr’s dress and the flying crab becoming Isa’s unusual head piece.
(immediately after the dinner) the hug at his bedroom when he was full of suds…
* The Argument with Nico that prompted Fernando to meet ‘Lolana’ at Chicago
(Fernando does the deed with Isa)
Right after the trip to Malinalco is when Fanny leaves the house and Fernando goes through the roof and Fanny leaves to move in with Leon
The night Fanny had left, Fernando gets drunk and dances with and Fernando kisses Ana for first time
* After Ana convinces Fernando to go talk to Fanny at Leon's and he does, Fanny comes back home.
* The chocolate cake scenes at the restaurant with Fernando, Ana, Isa and Johnny. That night they get home and are about to kiss when he gets the call of Nando’s accident.
* Fernando and Ana at hospital caring for Nando, Nando says ‘Dad, marry Ana’ when he wakes up
We get a ‘weeks go by’ VO note.
The ferret scene in Fernando’s bed… (more googly eyes)
* Indecent proposals…
* The zoo trip (where later Fernando admits he was already completely in love with Ana)
* Later same day or next day after the zoo trip we get the one lengthy kiss between Fernando and Ana right before next morning when he learns of Isa’s pregnancy and takes the trip to Malinalco with Nando.
Also one of my fav actors Michael Keaton (Mr Mom, BeatleJuice, Jack Frost, etc etc) won a GG!!! and his speech was awesome too.
I, too, am becoming quite bored and annoyed with some of these episodes. The other night I tuned in only to see Johnny boxing for far too long and Sebs whining and crying for far too long. Not my idea of entertainment. Why can't these writers stick to the main theme, instead of boring us with all of these sideshows. Anyway, I quickly turned it off hoping that the next episode would be better on Friday. I'm pretty fed up with it and not sure if I'll continue to watch. Will wait for next TN coming down the pipeline. Isabella
Just to let you all know that tonight's article will be a little late. I had to do an unexpected errand today and I'm still recovering.
No one found it strange that Fer named the baby without Isa's input?
OT: any news on the 2015 Univ TNs.
