Mi corazon es tuyo #125 Sebastian and Sarai compete and win!!, Johnny and Jen show Ana the new pole dance studio, Fer and Ana take their relationship up one notch even if they have to kiss over the turkey

Refritos:

Not much, Ana dancing and thinking if Chicago disappears, she won’t have to tell Fernando anything.

Fernando silent with teary eyes staring at Fanny Sr’s portrait

Lo Nuevo:

Fanny and Leon take Mau looking for Christmas tree… She tells Mau she loves him very much… Mau saying you had not said that yet, I would remember it. Leon thinks about the last step (proposing to/asking Fanny) Leon makes Mau agree that Fanny is sooo beautiful.

At Chicago, Ana is saying a speech on the mike, wishes merry xmas to everyone and special greeting to her dear Jenny, Johnny and all her co-workers. A toast with red roses all around her on the stage… She announces they are closing for a couple weeks. Merry xmas and happy new year, Chicago! Cheers! Ana walks around hugging everyone.

Back to Fer and we hear the voice of Fanny Sr ‘don’t let her go, Fernando! … don’t let her go’. Him responding ‘No, Fanny. I won’t let her go. I won’t… let Ana go. Thank you… Than you.’ (he is very emotional, this is indeed a farewell)

(good acting on JS part…. Excellent… one of the few actor men who can cry realistically on the fly)

Back to Chicago… Johny and Jenny are leaving but find ‘la diva’ crying… she is sad she will be away from them such a long time. She loves working here. Good music, ambience, friends… you all. Jen tells her just give us a call. She is heading home to Agualulco near San Luis (San Luis Obispo?). Johny gives her a cell phone. She is real grateful.

At Lasc house, we get closeup of all the decorations… fireplace sparking… (WHOA!!!) Ana and Fernando are cuddling together in couch. Ana says they will make a stocking for Diego Nicolas. She will buy the materials and make it tomorrow. He is thankful.

F: This kiss we shared… (she is babbling some nonsense syllables LOL!... ) … yeah.. beautiful… you know I love you. And with that kiss I felt that you love me too.

A: AH you didn’t know?

F: Well. Believe me that sometimes I am not so sure because you never have told me.

A: Aaah!

F: That’s all.

A: … I love you!...

F: (in disbelief, emotional) Do you have any idea of how happy I feel to hear this??...

A: Yeah, but you are hyperventilating… I know because I feel the same.

(then they get to kissing and babbling about it being the first of thousands… no, millions… no, billions! Of kisses…)

She asks him one thing… whatever you say… anything… She asks him to keep it secret from the kids for now… he asks why… she does not want them to know yet… she wants to take things easy, slow to make sure they work out… He does understand her point… He recalls Luz saw him kissing Ana and then he married Isa. And Ana ended up dating Diego… and now they are back together… Ana says the kids won’t know what to think, especially the younger ones and she does not want to confuse them. (‘calmantes montes elegantes pintos pajaros cantantes’ … and in Ana’s vocabulary all that means ‘easy does it’) He says you're right, ‘si, mi amor’. She says she loves when he calls her that. (AWWWWW) However, he wants to continue kissing and points out that there is no one around right now. ‘sure!’ ‘I love yur englich’ (LOL!) Kissy kissy continues… he shuts her up… (FINALLY!! She was getting me dizzy)

Again the kiss, which was getting heated faster than the fireplace, gets interrupted by the turkey gobble gobble sound. They walk to the turkey at the kitchen door and Ana says ‘I can’t believe that after all the time we have (waited to be together), now something like you comes to separate us!’ (she is paranoic alright) 'Nueve' gobbles and Fernando sneezes. (Repeat) Ana grabs the turkey and they both caress it, then Ana sings a Christmas folk song to it?? Fernando kisses her cheek while putting one hand to the turkey’s neck to keep it away while they continue kissing… LOL!

Later on, Ana is readjusting the brace boot for Sebas. The boys are heading down for breakfast. Sebas stays behind to practice some more steps. Again he feels pain (hurts himself). Sarai is dressed like punky Brewster (colorful, crazy). Ana and Luz are happy today is the ‘contest’ at the school. Ana asks Sarai what is up, why she got upset. Sarai says her mother told her she can’t make it to see the contest. Ana explains that her mom has some issues she needs to fix before she can be with her again. But meanwhile we can have some fun together. Sarai apologizes for being ‘sangrona’.

In living room, Fernando gets a cell phone call from Isa. He is annoyed by it. He answers saying he made the deposit already. What else do you need? Isa is miffed that he did not go pick her up at the hospital. He tells her that he sent the driver for her because he is going to attend Sebastian’s dance contest. Isa asks ‘didn’t Sebastian have a hurt leg?’ Fernando says he still will dance. Ana and Luz come by and he signals to them(with his free hand crawling up his chest to choke his neck) that it is the ‘tarantula’ spider on the phone and Ana laughs it off. Isa questions who is ‘Zeus’. She is really angry/irritated at him. ‘you said you would support him!’ nag nag nag nag! ‘yeah sure, sending me Poseidon, no?’ (he corrects her, its Zeus).. Fernando ends up hanging up on Isa. Yomama tells her ‘I too would have hung up on you!’. (Zeus knocks at her door just like Fernando said). Isa (for a change) is just as nasty to Zeus as she had been to anyone working at Lasc household.

Fernando hugs Sebastian and encourages him for the contest.

Jenny and Johnny have decorated the ‘casita’. Johnny has also made some ‘picaditas’ with beans and different toppings. Jenny ends up bringing up the subject of how they relate. Johnny is in ‘conquer’ mode. Have to please your woman in anything. Jen asks ‘when you finish courting me, you will stop doing what I want?’ these two relate more as friends than as a couple… but the jury is still out on that one. They taste the picaditas and both make the approving sign.

At the school where Sebas and the little ones go, Fernando is trying to convince Ana to let Soledad stay at the house as long as she wants, so they can catch up after so long being apart. He only wants to see her be happy. Ana asks what did Isa want. He says Isa was hysteric with post-partum depression. (Ana said something that made Fernando open his eyes wide but I can’t tell what she said) but she translated to ‘toma chingo tubalana! (or stte which translates to a rude ‘take that one, B____!’). Fernando says that one sounded even worse (LOL!). She offers even more synomymns which make him beg her not to make him laugh and to have a bit of ‘composure’ (LOL!), since the kids are sitting right by them. Angel arrives (and of course there is plenty room on the bench row on the other side of Ana so she ends up between the two men). Suddenly the host of the contest begins and Ana is the loudest cheering for ‘Instituto del Parque’ which I suppose is Sebas’ school. Fernando follows her lead shouting.

Isa and Yomama walk by Freeky’s room, Isa wants to go in to make sure Freeky is still in coma. When Isa walks in, she reacts like she saw a ghost. Freeky is still stiff in bed but with his eyes wide open. She comes near his head. She knocks his head and asks ‘anyone home?’ he responds in his thoughts ‘I can hear you perfectly, you damned one!’ She tells him HIS son was born already. But his name is not Freeky Basurto, but Diego Nicolas Lascurain. And while he is in coma, he won’t be able to tell Fernando the truth and she will continue getting money, so you better not wake up because if you do, I will have to make sure you go to sleep for good. He thinks ‘I will wake up to take revenge on you and Fernando’. She pulls his cheek and says to keep enjoying his ‘vegetable’ life. She again knocks on the ‘door’ of his head. He thinks ‘if I could move, even a finger…’ ( and of course the camera goes to his hand and... he does!!)

Sarai and Sebas turn comes at the contest. The twins and Luz are shouting so loud they are interrupting the contest. Sebas and Sarai perform along with about four other kids a hip-hop song. But not before the twins and Luz do one last cheer. During the number, Fernando and Ana are googly-eyeing each other… the twins and luz are dancing in place. At the end, Ana does a solo-wave. Sebas is visibly in pain. Ana and Fernando say Sebas is their hero, but Angel notices Sebas is limping so they run after him.

Isa and Yomama arrive at the apartment with the baby. Ramona runs out to see the baby. Zeus comments ‘the morenita is not bad looking’. (ok, Ramona and Zeus, I can stomach that couple as compatible). Zeus holds her hand and she is a bit shy.

Ana asks Sebas why he did not say earlier that he was hurting. Angel put the ‘boot’ back on him. The winner is announced. And Sebas won!! Everyone is jumping for joy. Fernando lifts him up and kisses him. Very proud of you! Fernando also hugs Ana before they walk to accompany Sebas to receive the award. The host teacher mentions that he created the original choreography and competed even with a hurt leg. She asks for a big applause for him. Sebas kisses Sarai on cheek. Fernando gets his eyes wide open at seeing this. Ana and Angel too. Even Sebas is surprised. He apologizes to Sarai for showering her with bacteria. He thanks her for helping him fulfill his dream. Ana jokes to Fernando ‘when your lady friend finds out that Sebas is her son in law…’ Just kiddin. Fernando then finds it an excuse to put his arm around her, which Angel notices and is not thrilled to witness it. Angel asks Ana to bring Sebas back to his office to get another xray on him. Angel leaves. Ana hugs all the kids. Fernando kisses Sebas again. Happy for you son!! Ana also congratulates Sarai. Sarai wants Ana to drop the ‘Senorita’. Luz reminds Fernando that at first he did not support Sebas dancing. Fernando protests. But Sebas says ‘your nose will grow, dad!’ Ana calls Fernando ‘Pinando’ (after Pinnochio and Fernando) Fernando thanks Sebas for the lesson he has given him. Love you. Sebas gives Fernando the trophy and says ‘this one we won for you, pa!’ Ana watches very pleased. They end up cheering for ‘Sebastian!! Sarai!!’

Angel on phone with Soledad. She confirms she has noticed Fernando and Ana’s relationship progressing. Angel admits he is dying of jealousy. And that he is very much in love with Ana. Edith and Fanny on phone with Nando. Some girls around Nando comment that he is good looking but a bit young. He seems to have heard it from the way he looks.

Fanny tells Edith she seems a bit too controlling toward Nando. Edith walks away. Lenin catches up with Fanny and recites to her a very romantic poem. Some ‘Lucila del Maria del Perpetuo Socorro… better known as Gabriela Mistral’ who is the only hispanic woman to have won the Nobel prize, per Lenin.  Lenin also steals a kiss as he takes off running away. Fanny is not ok with that at all and yells her disapproval to him.Lenin yells that he stole that kiss as his Christmas present. Fanny still looks angry, but Edith tells her ‘there is something that you LOVE about that guy’. Fanny keeps denying…( really?)

At the office, Fernando is cleaning the trophy. Leon asks him and he tells him the story. Sebas competed with a hurt leg and won. Very proud of him. Leon came to give Fernando another payment on his loan. Fernando invites him and his family to Christmas dinner at the house. Mau gets along with Luz great. And you are already part of the family. Leon very thankful.

At Lasc kitchen, Bruno won’t lend Ana, Johny and Jen his car. Jen and Johny have a surprise for Ana. You will like it. Jen and Johny show Ana the new poledancing workshop/studio. Ana is shocked. He already signed the lease and had the poles installed. Jen tells Ana he did it with the money he won at the box fight. Johnny says it won’t be possible without ‘our star instructor, Ana Leal’. Ana loves it.

Isa is yelling at her house. Ramona is swinging the baby around to try to get him to sleep. Isa yells to shut him up!! Yomama calls Fernando, who is busy with Torres. Fernando is a bit demanding on Torres. Takes the call from Yomama. Yomama does not know what to do, why don’t you come get him, hijito?? (SAY WHAT???!!!)

Johnny spots a short guy who turns out to be Licenciado Corcuera, the one that manages money with Don Dorofeo. They are following him on Bruno’s car.

Fernando arrives to Isa’s apartment to see what is going on. Yomama is relieved he is there. (‘ and his (the spanish word used could also be ‘your’) mother?’ ‘my mom is in heaven, hijito’ LOL!!) As soon as Fernando gets the baby from her, the baby stops crying. He hears Isa shouting from her room and figures out Yomama was right to call him. He will take the baby and wants Yomama to let Isa know. Yomama notes that he has a good hand with babies. He says no, its just that I have experience. Ramona offers to help take the baby bag to the car. As soon as Fernando is going through the door frame Yomama asks Ramona to get her a double Margarita STAT!! better yet, she needs it through an IV line! LOL!

Johny, Ana and Jen arrive at the Lasc house. They keep talking about Dorofeo and the lawyer guy dealing with the government permits (probably illegally). Ana says they have to get evidence of Dorofeo’s illegal moves, Ana suggests they ‘record’ them. All the kids, including Pablo arrive from school. They all are excited since they are on Christmas vacation for a couple weeks now!! Fernando arrives with the baby. Ana is very confused as to why he has DN. They all stare, including Jen and Johnny.

Previews: Fernando takes care of the baby, tells him ‘you look like me, I love you so much’. Meanwhile Fanny gets a custom drive-thru proposal from Leon. She looks more uncomfortable and ‘wanna get away’ than joyful.

Thanks, Marta, The recap is great.

A fun episode. I liked::

Estefanía telling Fernando not to let Ana go.

Ana realizing how loud she was at the dance contest and saying that her mouth had a life of its own. (. . . tiene vida propia).

The poetry of Gabriela Mistral making an appearance.

Yolanda needing an intravenous margarita.

Fernando knowing how to stop the baby from crying.

Jarifa

Thanks Marta.

There's a San Luis Obisbo in CA. Is there one in Mexico?

Angel is deeply in love with Ana?! He's known her for, what, 5 minutes? Now THAT annoys me.

Nanette

Thanks Marta for detailing a funny episode, the first episode in awhile to have some juice.

I loved Fernando imitating a spider crawling up his neck by running his fingers up and down, showing Ana he was talking to the "tarantula" . That was so funny, it seemed like such a spontaneous gesture that I wonder if JS did it adlib?

Also loved Isabruja talking to IkkyLizard and acting like his head was an echo chamber.

Now we will have to put up with a possible Zeus/Manuela/Ramona hookup on top of obnoxious Johnny/Jens? Definitely seems as if our prayers haven't been heard down in Mexico and the writers are going to shove Johnny/Jens down our throats.

Loved Bruja Mayor needing an intravenous Margarita. Speaks volumes about what type of mother she probably was to Isabruja.

Lenin is still such a brat; just having him around has rehabilitated Leon 100%.

And really, Angel falls deeply in love with Ana after say all of 1/2 hour together?

Thank you, Marta, for the excellent recap and vocabulary lesson!

Re. Angel in love, I can think of no other explanation other than it must be those pheromones Ana sprays all over herself in the morning . . . Beanie, please.

If I was Ana, having a full-time job as nanny and a part-time indentured servitude as pole dancer, I would be miffed with Johnny and Jenny for opening a pole-dancing studio, expecting me to teach there, WITHOUT asking me.

I did like Fer getting closure with Estefania and her approval of Ana.

Isabruja sealed her own fate with Enfrique last night. He is unstable and capable of anything. Life does not seem promising for their child, Diego Nicolas. Poor little guy.

Awesome Marta. I could visualize every scene again.

"(FINALLY!! She was getting me dizzy)"

EB, I thought the same thing but that is so like Juan. "I would be miffed with Johnny and Jenny for opening a pole-dancing studio, expecting me to teach there, WITHOUT asking me."

Soledad, again didn't do much to throw water on Angel about Ana. How long before she starts encouraging him to go for it. It is just creepy him staring at her, obsessed.

Fanny can crush on whomever she wants for whatever reason she wants but she should cut Leon loose. He'll be crushed but I think Renita much better for the guy, she truly loves him, helps his mother and has been surrogate mother to Mau. Fanny still gets to play and Lenin is right, not ready to be a wife or mother.

Thanks Marta. Maybe I was just tired after work yesterday, but your recap sure read to be much more fun than how I felt watching the show last night.

Maybe it's mean, but I'm hoping this dance contest is the end of all the Sebas dancing for awhile. Or ever. And I'm sorry, but ever be a parent and go to a concert or assembly your child will be in and there is one set of parents or kids that just won't shut up over their child? Yeah, that was the Lascurain group last night. I personally would have liked something that more awarded all the kids for their efforts...and Fer kept the trophy for his office why? And Sarai. Lord anyone else want to meet the parents and slap them silly?

So....Ana is excited to teach pole dancing. And she will explain her ability to do that to Fer how? And Jen and Johny-there is no romantic chemistry with these two, but I guess they are end game now. Blech.

Loved the tarantula move by Fer on the phone. One of the few genuinely funny bits I've seen on the show.

No spoiler, but I'm guessing that it won't be Jen adopting Isa's baby down the road. My guess is Fer and Ana will.

You know at this point, I'm no fan of Leon with making all these plans without ever having talked all this through with Fanny. She's in school, she has plans, I'm not sure he sees things that way. He wants a house, mom for his son and focusing on HIS degree and job. Right now, I sort of see Fanny attracted to Lenin because he sort of gets where she wants to go with her schooling, etc. Have we seen that convo with her and Leon? Did I miss it?

Daisynjay

Daisynjay, no such conversation between Fanny & Leon and it solely his assumption what will happen and setting himself up for the crash.

I don't like Leon & Fanny together now or never, nor do I like Lenin and his arrogance but Fanny is young and has to learn. Both guys have an opinion and expectation of Fanny and how her life will be lead without her input.

Great work, Marta.

I agree with EB regarding the presumptuousness of Johnny about Ana teaching pole dancing. That is a viable option for her on some level but it will out her Chicago job to Fernando, which she is hoping not to have to do.

It will be her job when he finds out because I see her running from the mansion (Speculation, not spoiler).

I'm upset we haven't seen the ferret in a while and what's going to happen to the turkey?

Now that the baby is in the mansion Isabruja will try to worm her way back in. We could say that Fernando fell for a sucker punch here, but he should hire another nanny for this baby, which will crowd Isabruja's apartment even more.

tofie,
ITA with you that Reina is a better match for Leon and Mau than Fanny at this point.
Lenin is too stuck up with his arrogance about knowing Fanny's future and where she wants to go, although i have to agree he is more observing of what SHE wants.

Jarifa, thanks for reminding me of Yola asking Ramona for the margarita IV after Fer took the baby. i will add it to the recap.

And I also agree that Johnny should have taken Ana into consideration before ASSUMING she would be ok with the job of pole dancing teacher, especially before Fernando finds out her secret since it is a dangerous lead to him.
But after it is all said and done and Fernando is ok with her 'talents', i don't see him objecting to her teaching a few classes here and there and training other girls, as long as it is in the school environment and not at a bar full of drunk men.
That way he can watch her do it as well and not be looking over his shoulder. And easier to explain to the kids that she likes pole dancing WITHOUT showing the kids WHERE she used to do it.

Does anyone know what poem by GM Lenin was reciting? i can rewatch and look it up tonight.

UA, I agree with you on the speculation that 'when he finds out' 'she will run'.
She won't find the courage to face him, esp if others like Isa and Dorofeo throw more mudd at her than it should be. And he won't be in the mood or have the composure to listen to the whole story to even try to understand.

i found this poem by GM that seems to sound like what Lenin was saying, but it might not be the one.

COPLAS

Todo adquiere en mi boca
un sabor persistente de lágrimas;
el manjar cotidiano, la trova
y hasta la plegaria.

Yo no tengo otro oficio
después del callado de amarte,
que este oficio de lágrimas, duro,
que tú me dejaste.

¡Ojos apretados
de calientes lágrimas!,
¡boca atribulada y convulsa,
en que todo se me hace plegaria!

¡Tengo una vergüenza
de vivir de este modo cobarde!
¡Ni voy en tu busca
ni consigo tampoco olvidarte!

Un remordimiento me sangra
de mirar un cielo
que no ven tus ojos,
¡de palpar las rosas
que sustenta la cal de tus huesos!

¡Carne de miseria,
gajo vergonzante, muerto de fatiga,
que no baja a dormir a tu lado,
que se aprieta, trélmulo,
al impuro pezón de la Vida!

Thanks for the wonderful recap!

Now that Fer and Ana having finally broken the affection barrier and are sooo happy, of course doom and gloom must be close by. My hope of Fer reacting better than expected to Ana's dancing is now a lost cause. They always build up the happiness so that the fall is greater.

Agree Leon is rushing things. He is older than Fanny and just in a different place in his life. Lenin is arrogant but he's young and, from what I can tell, not from a well off family. This makes me understand his arrogance. Plus, reminds me a lot of some guys I knew in college. I like his energy and the way he pushes Fanny to learn and grown.

I feel like Jen is using Jonny as her rebound guy so I hope they break up soon.

Thank you Marta for the wonderful, thorough recap and the poem.

I agree, UA, that the baby's presence in the mansion bodes ill for Fernando. It is certainly a way for Isabela to get back in, assuming that Ana ends up leaving. The kids will hate it but it will be defined as good for the baby, who Isabela can't care for herself.

There were some great moments in this episode -- all together enjoyable.

I love seeing how far Fernando has come as a parent. He is wonderful with the baby, is putting up with the turkey (I think I would have reached my limits a while ago on that one) and finds the holiday decorations beautiful. It looks like my house (my much smaller house!) when my kids helped decorate. Taste went out the window. But the "more is more" made the kids happy!

Weird for those of us in the snow belt to see all of those outdoor decorations on a green lawn.

But is she boinking Johnny? Somehow I don't think that's happened yet.

I'd like to see her end up with Angel. They can adopt little Diego.

Do we take it that Jen is NOT going to take any of Nico's money if and when they divorce? Frankly, she is a saint to do that. For the pain and aggravation, I would take at least enough for a nicer pad to settle in, etc.

Carvivlie,I agree with your Lenin assessment:
"This makes me understand his arrogance. Plus, reminds me a lot of some guys I knew in college. I like his energy and the way he pushes Fanny to learn and grown."

Lord, some of the guys I knew in college--always had male friends--they thought they owned the world then and it would just make me smile. So, if Leon really hasn't taken the time to really know Fanny's plans and feelings on settling down at 20 ( because honestly, buying the house sort of telegraphed to me he wants all this NOW), then he deserves the wake-up call. The very sad thing is, as all the adults are doing in this TN, he shared his plans and feelings with his very small child who could get greatly hurt if things don't work out.

Which makes me eye-roll and head-desk when Ana talked about being so concerned about the kids knowing about them as a couple---HELLO!! Those kids are not stupid. They've witness the looks and the mooning, etc. Now she and Fer are worried? The word clueless comes to mind.

I've come to the conclusion the kids are smarter than the parents in this show.

Daisynjay

can anyone remember the first novela where they used the music that they are using now for the romantic scenes of Ana and Fernando? I want to say Fea mas bella but i am wrong. it must be another, but it is not CS 93 either. sounds like Jorge Avedano music though. have to look it up.

maybe the score of privilegio de amar? I just KNOW I have heard that melody before.

I thought not telling the kids was just Ana's way of biding time until she tells Fer the truth about her dancing.

OT: I finally got myself to watch Labios Rojos...
1. took me aback the way it started but then i figured if JS did Solo para mujeres, this is not as riskee...
2. LOVED to see Fernando Lujan doing so well in the role as his boss... I remember FL from La hermanita Dinamita and Los Ricos tambien lloran so i had seen him as young actor (and he was great then too, as great as here).
3. I could not help but giggle every time they used the word 'coger' because I remember from LHDM scene in the vecindad the explanation he gave to Rosario of what 'coger' meant in Mex... vs in Colombia (or in my PR where it is used just as in Colombia, very commonly used to say 'take the public bus')
my critique? LOVED IT... but have to watch it at least one more time due to all the slang that is said so fast that if you blink your ears or mind, you miss the punch line.
JS and SV were wonderful in it, even if their scenes together were much fewer and far between than i would have liked.

BTW, Lenin needs to take his arrogant self on a hike and get lost. Leon is too serious for a woman of Fanny's age right now; Lenin just a jerk. It would be great to see Fanny coupled up with "nobody" for a while.

Jarifa

Jarifa - Exactly. Why does Fanny need to date now? She should finish her degree, work for awhile, and settle down when SHE'S ready.

Leon also needs to heal from the enormous grief Tamara caused him first by running off and taking Mauricio, then coming back and causing trouble with Fanny.

As to someone else's comment about Reina, she might be OK for Leon for now, but she would hold him back later when he wants to advance in his career.

Leon proposing after dating Fanny for only about eight months? They’ve broken up at least once and possibly twice (can’t remember). They just made up after another fight. I’m sure Leon won’t want her to quit school, so he expects her to be a wife, mother and student? She’s only 19 years old. It’s OK, though, because HE’S finished his schooling, got a good job and is buying a house.

I think Renita perfect for Leon and don't think she would hold him back professionally. The girl works hard with his mother everyday. Yes, she has rough edges and likely uneducated (sure could go to school if she wanted) but take the highlights out of her hair and she is a cute girl.

Think we've discussed Fanny and Lenin before but he believes his version of Fanny the correct one and has made no secret in his attempt to change her to fit. It's one thing to enlighten and another to belittle and coerce for your own ends.

Thanks, Marta :-)
Does anyone else think that the other dancers were WAAAAAAAY better dancers than Sebas and Saraí?

Denise

Yes, Denise, I certainly do. And I really could hardly stand to watch Ana's obnoxious behavior at that competition and seeing it spread to the younger kids. Now that they've watched her hoot and holler inappropriately at various public events, they think it's okay. Barf.

I think Reina could grow with Leon and be a good partner for him.

Since they keep introducing new characters, do you think we will eventually see the love of Bruno's life show up?

Carolina and Denise... I too felt like turning my face away from the TV at the loud cheering by not only the twins and Luz (understandable if they are not directed to some sense of bounderies) but Ana and Fernando as well? YIKES!! esp Fernando, who seems to be contagiated by Ana's lack of 'appropriateness' boundaries ... a bit too far to the other extreme from the 'Don Hielo' 'square like a cereal box' that Ana criticized so hard at the beginning. There is a midpoint there that would be socially acceptable, folks... but Ana and Fer werand this is not the restaurant where there were a half dozen folks watching Ana copy Meg Ryan's YES YES!!! and just saying 'you are incredible!!'... this was a school auditorium full of parents and the Lasc were on first row! it was bad enough with her languare referring to Isa before the event began... the cheering was in another city from where the line should have been drawn.

and I too agree that Reina could grow to keep up with Leon's career ladder movements. And she would always help him remember where he came from and who gave him a hand to get further along.

sorry i think i just came up with a new word 'contagiated' ... what i meant to say was Fernando seemed to follow Ana's lead even on the clearly inappropriate behavior.

Yes, Marta, that was disturbing. Ana's public cheering is the only thing that Hissabela can legitimately call "naca." It sets a bad example for the kids, esp. since it was contagious to their dad.

Thanks so much Marta
Angel in love with Ana is so stupid, infatuated, in lust, but in love, get real.Of course this is to fill in for the Fer/Ana breakup for Chicago, and Angel fills in like Diego did.
Freeky was very freeky, I keep waiting for him to reach up and grab Isa by the throat.

So Ana is concerned the kids will become confused if they see she and Fernando together now, when exposure of her night job hangs overhead and what is she gonna tell them when they see her kissing the doctor after Fernando blows up?

Part 1 of 2

Hi all, happy 2015!
And Merry Christmas for all in Mi Corazon Es Tuyo land!
I have been catching up on episodes. What a roller coaster! Now I have some rant which I would like to share with you all. Pardon if some seem like déjà vu. I read the comments for recap 123 and I know that I am echoing some of the sentiments expressed there.
Some of Viewerville have become disillusioned with this novella. Me too. My disillusionment started when the All Wise and Power Lascurain church married Isabela. Si what is Ana hoping for? The best she’ll get is a civil wedding. I really don’t like it when a novella grossly misrepresents what is involved in a church wedding and the commitments that are made. Instead it treats the wedding as disposable and unimportant. Then why even bother to include a church wedding in the first place? Ah, because in Mexico, 97% of Viewerville is Catholic, so not having a church wedding would just be unacceptable. But having a divorce and throwing the church wedding out the window is perfectly ok. While in Mexico my wife and I went to church and ended up in a wedding. At the end the priest congratulated the new couple and added an extra congratulatory note for finishing the one and a half year preparation! Yes that’s 18 months of preparation for a wedding! What about Isa’s and Fer’s 3 week wedding? Get your beanie on!
Now Marcela wants Lenin and Fannie to be godparents of her newborn child. Hold the presses Marcy! The Church requires that godparents be married (to each other, just to be clear). So that would be a no go.
What is up with the Lascurain house? Looks like it is a magnet for dysfunctional people: Dear departed Ximena, then Edith then Sarai. (BTW what is up with the captions, they spell her name as Zarahi, can’t these captioneers at least read the opening credits?) Now enter Pablo. And yes, with jokes like his, he is definitely dysfunctional! I guess if the adults are dysfunctional then what is to expect from the kids.
Zeus: So some of Viewerville wonders where this character came from and what is he doing in the novella, besides groping Manuela. I’ve read UA’s recaps, so I know that the gods of Olympics wanted to intervene, so it is most likely that this character is the mighty Zeus disguised as a pervert bumpkin that has come down to dispense anvils where necessary.
The pole dancing Secret: Getting old, really old. Who really cares anymore? Surely Fernando will found out in the worst possible way. And his wrath will be more cause he was taken for a sucker (again) than the work that Ana does. Perhaps when she first started working there I could understand his outrage of the nanny of his kids moonlighting as a pole dancer at a rated G strip club. But now; she has shown her true love towards the kids, her kinds heart, her desire to be part of the family and the true kindred spirit that she is (although sometimes a bit too kindred) and he loves her so what can he complain about? Just let it go, off Isa and marry the girl!

Part 2 of 2

Angel: Please don’t go there! Just don’t. Ana’s heart belongs to someone (geez even the title says it!) and it is not you!
And to conclude (everyone breathes a sigh of relief), The Anvil Awards
Mister Nicholas. Gawd, I totally liked this character when he came out. He exuded wisdoms, leadership and worthiness to be the patriarch of the Lascurain clan. I rooted for the Nic/Jenny couple. I celebrated their wedding (again church) with them. Now the guy has a heart attack and open heart surgery and it looks like this character died somewhere and was replaced by Mister Nicthedic, a jerk that fought for his true love, got her to fall in love with him, married her and now is tossing her in the garbage disposal unit… in the name of her happiness! These are the times that I wish that TV was interactive so I could punch him silly.
Johnny – Escape from hell and back. It only took me 2 or 3 episodes to loathe this character, a traitor, cheater, thief and all around parasite. No tears from me when he got kidnapped and beaten to a pulp by Mr. D’s minions. Then he started to change. He was good around the kids, he started respecting Ana and he got a job. I was starting to like him! Now with his behavior towards Jenny he’s back to hell. This guy has no sense of anything. I hate to see him take advantage of Jenny’s vulnerability. I can’t believe I was rooting for the big hunky guy to win the fight. Now he wants to put a pole dancing workshop? (Actually, this is great idea (someone please shoot me), it’s been found out that pole dancing is great exercise for both men and women and is becoming trendy.)
Isa: No bounds and no consequences. What sort of comeuppance is right for her? What sort of poetic justice? I guess an anvil is a start. Being eaten by wolves has already been done. Maybe flesh eating bacteria? Whatever happens, she’s got to die so that Fer can be a widower and he and Ana can have their church wedding.
Lisardo. Anvil by default, but this guy has gotten so extreme that it is just comical now. Did anyone hear? The director of The Walking Dead was channel surfing and accidentally saw the scene when Enrique woke up from his coma, walked to the lobby then collapsed. The director was so impressed that he wants Lisardo to do a cameo on his show.
Gabriel. Lowlife, dirt bag and all around child molester. That was quick! Edith’s charges slowly trickle down the bureaucratic system but then the son of the Great and Powerful Lascurain gets beaten up and bad guy Gabby is in jail by nightfall. Justice is served! If course he was threatening via his daddy, so we wait to see if the novella takes this anywhere (and judging by the recent crazy scene changes, it is entirely possible).

Whew Salvador! Thanks, your comments are like a shot of adreline, summing up and reminding us of all the estupidezes we had forgottennnnn....

Fanny is far too immature for Leon. Ideally, Leon should not even be thinking about marriage. But if he decides to get hitched in the future, it should be with someone more deserving of the man he is. Fanny is not good enough for Leon. She has too much growing to do.
