Mi Corazon es tuyo #126 Little Diego Nicolas is at a happier home for sure... but it is certainly not Fanny's day... or Leon's. but Fernando and Ana seem to be 40 going on 13

Refritos:

Ana talks to Johnny and Jen about finding evidence of Dorofeo by recording some meeting of his.

Kids get home to start their xmas vacation (almost 20 days). Fernando arrives home with baby.

Lo Nuevo:

Leon and Fanny are going out alone, they won’t tell anyone. Mau stays with grandma and Reina.

Ana has brought the baby to Angel’s office. He tells her that Isa had introduced herself to him as ‘Ines’. He realized she was Isa when the family was watching the baby at the nursery. Ana talks about Isa’s multiple personalities. Angel says baby is A ok. Someone is knocking at door. Its Marta, Angel’s ex wife. He makes her wait outside until his appointment is over. He is visibly impactado by her showing up like that.

Leon is showing Fanny the video they had recorded (the Grease video) at a drive-through. She says you told me that when you gave me the 7th drawing or video, you would ask me a special question. Leon shows her the video (with background music of their theme song with Fanny lip-singing it and Nando and Edith and Mau and Luz dancing, etc) and at the end Leon proposes to her on the screen. Leon in the car opens a little box that has a ring. She is in shock. Very sad looking. He says he is already finishing his thesis and will soon take his final test, is buying a house and will buy her a better ring later on. He figures they can marry in 6 mos to a year, when everything is lined up. She stops him there. She finally speaks up and says she is too young, she is just 21 and not ready to get married. That she WOULD, at some point later on, feel ready to share her life with him. But she is just starting to find her way around. She is learning a lot and does not feel ready to settle down and does not feel prepared to be Mau’s step mother. He rebuttes that it is because of his financial status… but she swears its not about that, that its about her and her not feeling prepared for married and being a parent. He is so upset he leaves, not even letting her drive him home.

Ana talks to Angel about Marta… she tells him that it seems he has not forgiven his wife for having aborted his child, but he still has huge feelings for her. Angel looks away.

Fanny has caught up with Leon and is trying to talk to him again, but he wants her to leave him alone. He keeps walking home and she stays at the gate crying.

Preparations for xmas continue at Lasc Manor. They are putting on the nativity set now. Fernando is pulling apart some moss… Luz found the donkey… Alicia remembers doing a ‘pastorela’ (a staging of the nativity scene). Alicia suggests doing another ‘pastorela’, the Lascurain pastorela. Fernando is all up for it. He calls Bruno and asks for the script (play script) of the pastorela that they did with Fanny Sr a few years ago. Fanny arrives home and is visibly upset. Fernando notices. Fanny runs and hugs her dad.

At home, Leon is whining to his mom. He says the only explanation is that Fanny does not love him. Margarita does not believe Fanny told him that. He says it’s the only reason. Margarita agrees that marrying very young, at Fanny’s age, is a bad decision. Margarita says not wanting to marry you right now does not mean she does not love you. ‘Fanny is too young and you have a son! It is not an easy decision for a woman who is just starting her life!’

Fernando sits with Fanny in her room. She asks for Ana, took the baby to Angel. Funny, isn’t it? Ana caring for Isa’s son.

Sebastian arrives home and will help them with the nativity set while Ana heads upstairs with the baby.

Fanny tells Fernando what Leon said… and he proposed… Fernando shocked. Fernando is anxious, asking what she responded. Ana has to point Fernando to look at Fanny’s face and figure out that she said no. Ana wants to talk to Fanny, asks Fernando to leave them alone. Fernando takes the baby and tells Fanny he loves her. Fanny cries on Ana’s shoulder.

Fernando is changing his baby when Bruno comes in saying he found the script for the pastorela. Fernando asks Bruno to go get more diapers and to prepare the bath for the baby. Fernando tells the baby that they look alike and that he loves him… but also… what did you eat, son?? (at this age, man? You need to ask?)

Marta and Angel talk. She does not buy that he has been too busy to answer her call. He has to admit he did not want to talk to her.

Ana is very supportive of Fanny. Fanny says Leon thinks her problem is not wanting to live in a ‘low income housing’ place. Meaning for economic reasons. Ana says he was heart broken after being so hopeful. Ana agrees with Fanny’s decision. Fanny feels she will lose Leon. Ana says ‘if he won’t wait for you then he does not love you enough’. Ana tells Fanny that she and Fernando kissed again. Fanny almost spills her water/tea.

Fernando is sweating bullets … nah… apparently the baby squirted him real good, per Bruno.

Marta tells Angel that the lawsuit was a mistake. She believes it is absurd for them to discuss small things. Angel says small issue to you! They start arguing loudly, she claims it would have been terrible having a baby and then not giving him the attention and time he deserved. She was afraid the baby could have got the down syndrome her brother had.

Bruno is carrying the baby. Ana comes in. ‘donde esta mi chief?’ asks Ana. Bruno says he had to take a shower, the baby squirted him. Bruno tells Ana that when a new child comes in the house, God comes along. Ana is swinging the baby and talking to him when Fernando comes out of the closet all dressed up. Fernando asks how is Fanny. You think she and Leon are split for good? Ana hopes not.

Johnny and Jen are finishing their dinner. She thought it was delicious. He is headed to wash dishes. She thanks him. Not just for the dinner, but for all these weeks of support. He is there for anything she needs. With her he has learned how it is to love unconditionally. He wants to give her all his love without asking for anything in return. She is his biggest motivation to live. She asks him if he is willing to have more patience… He is. Could wait for her years if she needs… all his life. They kiss even though she is not totally sure of it. He faints after the kiss. She tries to wake him up and he is seeing 3 Jennies. But he is ok. ‘Gracias Diosito!’

In Ana’s room, Bruno and the maid are bringing the bassinette to Ana’s room. Ana is willing to care for him, even if Fernando is not so convinced. Bruno will bring everything else that she needs. She continues to talk to the baby saying his dad loves him, and so does she, his nanny. The younger 5 of the other 7 are at the door and say they also love him. They all come in to see the baby. Fernando and Ana walk away. Fernando tells her he spoke to Yomama. But he won’t talk to Isa. Ana says too bad she can’t enjoy the miracle of being a mom. But Ana is happy to have a chance to spend time with DN. (they both look happy to have him here) Ana turns around. She is staring at the baby and babbling ‘I would be the happiest woman on Earth if I could hold my baby in my arms…. One of mine. (Fernando is in la-la land hearing this) … or two … o… (he finishes ‘tres’)

Nando is looking at some site on internet about delayed ‘growth’ in adolescents… and then remembers when he went to visit Ximena and then looks back at the computer and sees sale prices on some ‘wraps/covers for growth’ Then he remembers the comments by the other girls at school about him looking a bit too young. Then he looks again at the ‘wraps’… says ‘this could help’.

The family shows Ana the script for the pastorela. Luz announces to Ana that she will be the Virgin Mary. Ana is excited about it. Alicia tells Fernando he will be Jose. They have to put it together real quick, Xmas is coming. Sarai comes in crying with the phone in her ear, tells Fernando that her mom says Sarai will have to spend Xmas with her dad and new year with her (her mom). Ana asks what she wants. She wants to spend Xmas here with them. Fernando gets on phone to ‘Angeles’ and walks away. Sebas tells Sarai not to worry, surely his dad will convince her mom.

Marta tells Angel that her family changed completely when her brother was born. My mom had to forget about all her dreams to care for him full time. (Angel says he knows the story.) Having a child with Down syndrome would have been the end of ‘my career’. She was scared. Angel gets it but they were a team. And he would have been there for her. Marta realizes she was selfish and that it was the worst mistake of her life. She begs him to forgive her. Angel is not so sure.

Ana and Soledad are caring for the baby in Ana’s room. Soledad is happy to see Ana surrounded by so many folks that love her. She has seen that Ana has done so many good things for everyone. You all are a family, dear. And Fernando… (Ana recognizes he is wonderful)… Soledad asks if Ana would like to have a baby with Fernando. Soledad thinks they will have several beautiful children. Ana again thinks about one or two… or… Soledad says she will be a great mother.

At library, Ana is walking in very stiff, dressed in black suit and white shirt just like Fernando does normally. (ok, this is a skid with the roles reversed… Ana is the ‘hielo’ businesswoman and Fernando was sent there by the agency as the new candidate for the nanny job)… Ana orders Bruno to let the new candidate sent by the agency come in… Fernando comes in with a Johnny style outfit (vynil jacket, very wrinkled white shirt, and talking ‘a wi wi’ street language. He even pulls his a piece of paper (apparently a recommendation or letter from the agency) and is trying to stretch it by sliming some of his saliva on it… she says ‘the saliva is not neccessary!’ He even flirts at her and takes a few dance steps, which are not amusing to her. Very much like he did early on, she yells at him about appearances and the order and discipline in the household. And demanding silence from him. She reads his letter and reads that he studied at the ‘Ifel’ tower. He even bumps on her and makes her bleed out of her nose like she did when he is telling her he would like to be a bullfighter and swings his arms up. Then he wants to clean her blood with the handkerchief out of her jacket pocket just like she did. He also uses slang and says ‘moronga’ instead of ‘blood’ … then the kids and Bruno come in. Fanny says this ‘nano’ is really weird. Nando says they don’t want him here. The rest of the kids choir for him to go too. Then there is a war of tissue papers all over… Ana is yelling to try to get order… …

… we see Fernando in PJs coming close to Ana who is also in PJ’s and is leaning on her sewing machine. She says ‘Don’t go Fer-nano.. don’t go… Fer-nano’. Fernando comes close to her and asks ‘who is Fer-nano?’ She finally wakes up startled, points at him and tells him that Fer-nano is him too. He is flattered, sits on her bed and asks if she was dreaming of him. She says she dreams of him every night. He brags to the baby (who is in a small basket on her bed) that she dreams of him. Fernando says he came in to feed DN. He sees that she is working on DN’s stocking, but she won’t let him see it until it is finished, before Xmas. He says each day he is more and more convinced that THIS is the best that could have happened to him. She is sleepy, says she would even fall asleep standing up. He hugs her. ‘and are you going to dream about me?’ ‘yeah, Fer-nano.’ They laugh. She asks if he wants to hear what she was dreaming. He can’t wait. The world backwards. She was ‘Dona Hielo’ and he was ‘Fer-nano’. Even with HIM slapping HER on the nose. Fernando asks ‘and in your dream… did we fall in love at first sight again?..’ She says that just like before, they were ‘a hair away’ from kissing. ‘why should we leave it in the dream? Why not bring it to reality? (he gets as close to her as he can) ..well, without the hit/punch. That 'golpe' did hurt a lot.’She laughs and they kiss… and they kiss… and they kiss…

Previews: Isa barges into the house demanding to know why Ana is holding her child, ‘criada de quinta!’… Ana warns Isa that Fernando banned her from coming in the house… Isa is no longer preggers so when Isa continues with her insults and charges her fist against Ana, Ana is done waiting… by now Ana has already handed the baby to Johnny so Ana swings a 'slap heard 'round the world' at Isa hard… ‘I warned you!!’

Oh may the Lord bless you for being able to stay awake to recap this snoozing TN. It comes on at 8:00 here in FloriDuh and still puts me to sleep.

Thanks so much Marta. Again, recap was way better than our viewing pleasure.

Leon is persona non grata to me right now. So Lenin seems to come off as self-centered to some, but then Leon's reaction was equally self-centered last night. The chip on his shoulder turned into a boulder. He didn't hear one word Fanny said and there doesn't seem to be any respect from him on what SHE wants. And he pulled out the class difference card again? That was insulting, he should know her better than that by now. And yes, he was hurt, but I don't think that's the excuse for his opinion. I agree with posters yesterday that said Fanny is better off without a serious relationship right now. But if these two are end game, it better not be Fanny feeling guilty or fearing she'll lose Leon so she jumps into marriage.

Not feeling Magda. No chemistry with Angel and I don't know about this whole plot line.

I turned the show away on the J/J discussion. I don't see these two as a "couple". But being the actor is considered one of the main stars, he has to get one of the best women. Poor Jen.

The baby is soooo adorable and I like that no one is taking it out on that poor thing how it came into this world, at least on the Lascurain side. But moving the baby into Ana's room? That bugged me. I think Fer could have fought harder to have the baby in his room. Seemed that would have been the better move right now.

Daisynjay

Marta, thank you for the wonderful recap.

Poor Nando was so worried about being too short even though he knows he technicaly has until 21 to finish growing. So, his solution was to buy "plantillas" which are insoles but in this case "lifts" that will make him taller. Cute.

Very funny when Ana and Fernando changed parts with her calling him "señorito" and his colorful language: a wi wi.

So,glad that Isabela is no longer pregnant so Ana can finally let her have it.

Jarifa

I think the options available on the internet were NOT LIMITED to height... if you know what i mean.

Excellent Marta, thank you.

I thought the role reversal skit great and Fer-nano cute.

Ok, everybody gushes over babies, it just creeps me out Ana is taking care of a newborn child of Isabela's, in Fernando's house, while he sprouting it such a blessing.

I turned away and thankfully did not see the JJ kiss, I waited till I heard the music stop. Disgusting to me the thought. Fabiola Campomanes should get triple pay for having to kiss both the old man and Juan in this show.

Hmmm, wonder if Angel will tell the love of his life he fell in love with Ana within 30 minutes and Ana becomes the target of Magda for no reason.

Leon is an idiot but I get his reaction, though I don't excuse it. Ana is right, he had his hopes up and they were dashed.

While the reason for turning Leon down not about the size of the house, Fanny is accustom to a certain lifestyle and too large a disparity without more maturity won't work. I think Fanny should just be alone for a bit, focus on herself but she won't. She heard about the Leon/Laura kiss and immediately let Lenin kiss her, they'll be a couple tonight.

Don't know where the hot headed Leon ends up. I thought Renita but she doesn't deserve to be strung along just to make him feel better.

Well, I think most of us are aware of one option Nando doesn't need...

Good work, Marta.

Hissabela is going to be in for a few nasty surprises now that all bets are off because she's no longer pregnant.

Leon is at a different life stage from Fanny. Also, their age difference means something right now. Once she graduates and has a year of work it won't be as big a deal. I do feel bad for little Mauricio who was desperately hoping for Fanny to be his new mum. She's had some experience at it, but shouldn't be stuck with such a responsibility right now.

Thank you, Marta, for this perfect recap. The Lascarain mansion is certainly a haven for all children and the baby is welcome to all -- a nice message among the more crazy ones in this novel.

Jenny and Johnny - no comment.

Magda and Angel - hard to know where this will go.

And tomorrow the "perfect" mother Isabela returns to the scene. Ick. Glad to know that Angel is on to her.

tofie, i have to agree with you. Fanny has come some way... but not sure enough maturity to handle the change in lifestyle, even if Leon gets a good increase in pay at the company it will a huge step down for her... and on top of that becoming a parent overnight. Add to that what lenin said about it putting a leash on her career and her finding out her own self and you have a scared Fanny ... So i agree, even if Leon was a bit right, she has to be alone to find her own way and what realize that it all sounds good on paper but reality would hit her hard and she might need more time to figure who is Fanny before she is ready to call her own shots.

And to be fair to her, Leon also needs to realize that he can't plan their lives all by himself... this has to be a team effort and the schedule is also up for negotiation.

TL, i too am glad Angel is up to 'Ines' secret not so attractive resume....
but I wonder if they can use it to their advantage (the fact that he knows who Ines is but she doesn't know he knows)... wonder what twists that will bring... unless Angel is too much of a boy scout straight man to take advantage of even someone as rotten as HIssabella.

btw, everyone... according to the way Angel was pronouncing it last night and IMDB listing of Luz Elena Gonzalez character, Angel's wife is Marta, not Magda.

Salvador, I LOVED LOVED your summary of how ridiculous the 'secret' theme has got...
The pole dancing Secret: Getting old, really old. Who really cares anymore? Surely Fernando will found out in the worst possible way. And his wrath will be more cause he was taken for a sucker (again) than the work that Ana does. Perhaps when she first started working there I could understand his outrage of the nanny of his kids moonlighting as a pole dancer at a rated G strip club. But now; she has shown her true love towards the kids, her kinds heart, her desire to be part of the family and the true kindred spirit that she is (although sometimes a bit too kindred) and he loves her so what can he complain about? Just let it go, off Isa and marry the girl!
but we all know the problem is what i have highlited in bold in your statement. things will get ugly for a good while before the storm passes for good. and we still have the loose ends of Angel/Marta, Isa's anvil, Freeky's anvil, who's baby will it be anyway, and the kids couples resolutions.
And of course i want to see a time warp in the end with the new '1...2... or 3' Lascurains.

I want Fernando to refer to Ana as 'mi amor' in front of Hissabella and Ana... THAT would be a MEGA slap for Hissabella...!!

after all Fernando never promised love to Hissabella, let alone called her 'mi amor' even in private.

as far as a marriage by church... i am not from Mexico so not sure how different the customs are from Puerto Rico or even what is done there in this case but...
if Hissabella lied to Fernando and he married her BECAUSE of her being pregnant with what he thought was his baby... doesn't he have grounds for an annulment by church? I know that 'lo que Dios ha unido, que no lo separe el hombre' speech... but if 'unido' is built on a foundation of lies ... is it ok to annul the church marriage?

OR are we to expect Hissabella somehow to be 6 feet under before the FIN so that they can have a happily ever after church wedding?

Lenin is not the only person wise enough to know the writing on the wall but he gets the credit. Leon's mom told him the same thing, even pointing out how young he was when he married and see how that turned out.

Lenin, thinks he know all there is to know about life, wait till he has a child and wants to marry and make his way. Perhaps he'll sing just like Leon.

Marta great recap. Thanks for all the hard work you put into recapping this very so-so novela.
The comments so far have been 'spot-on" and reflect what I've been thinking.
Salvador, I loved reading your comments and appreciated your reminding us ofor forgotten details.

Thanks for the wonderful recap!

The writers sure wrapped up the Ines/Angel plot line quick. I guess they decided not to go there.

Poor Nando. He is a bit vertically challenged. Tough for a guy.

Fanny's 19 and so not close to getting married. Glad she was truthful.

Johnny is growing on me now that he is being less obnoxious. I wonder if Nico will come back at all before the end of this to cause some problems...

I think it will hurt the whole family when it comes out that DN is not theirs.

Marta, if Isabela lied to him about the child being his, that is fraud. Annulments are given for fraud in the Catholic church.

Jarifa

I believe Fernando will have grounds for a church annulment. While Hissabela didn't actually know whose DNA was mixed with hers when she got the positive test results shouldn't the religious pre-marital counseling have demanded some kind of full disclosure?

What's the verdict on Que te Perdone Dios?

I loved MT in LHDM but don't know anything about the female lead?

Victoria: I'm going to watch bec Ferdinando Valencia is in it and I thought he was amazing as Adolfo in LQLVMR

When will Univision post the episodes?

Time Warner has QTPD starting this Monday at 10:00 pm EST.

Marta: great recap. Thanks.

Fanny needs to be out on her own for awhile. She doesn't need to go straight from her daddy' s house to her husband' s house.

Nanette

Urban: I heard that we are getting it first, before Mexico.

Sergio Goyri. Yuck

Salvador and Marta - Re. the pole-dancing secret - Rather than Fer causing a ruckus when he discovers the secret, wouldn't it be a nice twist if he doesn't tell Ana of his discovery, if he dresses incognito and frequents Chicago, if he flirts with Ana(a reverse Lola scenario), and if he causes her to fall for him? Then the story's conflict would be Ana's internal conflict between her love for Fer and her intense attraction to the disguised Fer. This conflict would nicely resolve with the ultimate disclosure that Fer and disguised Fer are one and the same! Voila!

ITA with everyone about little Diego Nicolas. He's a cutie!

OT: re QTPD: I watched enough of Abrazame muy fuerte to not plan to watch this one religiously. Having said that, I will try to catch it as often as I can, that is unless it gets as graphic as AMF did for a while.
Mark T is one of my favs... but whether i like him in a given novela or not depends on the character he is portraying.
He had great chemistry with Zuria (his girl here) in Que pobres, but he was the villain there.

LOVED him in LHDM. LOVED Zuria in Refugio AND Que Pobres. so i will definitely not write it off at least at first. adn the 10 pm slot is good for me to watch (NOT RECAP)because it woudl not conflict with other evening shows that are earlier on US tv that i want to watch... so i will be watching and commenting.
Will be tough for Sergio G to live up to Cesar Evora's portrayal of the villain but i LOVE Brandon Peniche so he is another plus for me.

Here is a good website to read about starting dates for upcoming 2015 novelas.
EB: I love your idea about Fernando dressing in disguise.

http://novelalounge.com/nn/2014/12/23/telenovelas-2015-nuevas-producciones-y-estrenos-de-televisa-globo-telemundo-para-el-nuevo-ano/

EB the problem is how do you pull that off (how does Fer pull it off?) its not like Ana is blind or anything like that, and what would be his excuse to go to the Chicago disguised?
i like the idea of him finding out and talking to others before letting her know he did... and that way he gets the full story from separate sources before he comes up to a final 'stand' on it. but that would not be the Fernando we all know... remember deep inside he still has 'react first, then think' motto when it comes to people he loves... and having been 'taken for a sucker' as Salvador so wisely calls it will be the biggest pain point for Fernando. It will hurt. It will hurt bad and until that initial pain subsides, he won't be thinking rationally.

Victoria: thanks so much!!!!

Marta,

I remember Abrazame so well. What a crazy combination of actors (Fernando, Cesar, Victoria, Arecely) and plot threads. I always think of those two sherry-sipping sisters who were after Federico (Cesar). I will probably drop in as well, but try to avoid refritos when the first one was memorable.

I do love Mark and Zuria Vega. She was in Alma de Hierro a few years ago and was so good. I haven't seen her in anything since, but am sure that she has only grown as an actress.

Fernando would have so me nerve (and will, I guess) exploding about Ana's work at Chicago after the sweet way that she has treated a newborn with 8,9,10 ?? other kids floating around. Sewing his name on the stocking really melted my heart. He will, of course, come to his sense but dread the time in between.

Isabela knew she had unprotected sex with Enrique and Fernando even if she did not know whose baby it was at the time of her marriage. Her lack of disclosure is still fraud any way you look at it.

Jarifa

TL, that's the issue. the explosion won't be about her work (anymore, anyway). but about them intentionally keeping him in the dark about it. And even including his daughter, dad and brother in the 'secret'.

Marta,

I certainly don't blame Fernando for hating alll of the lying, from Ana and everyone else. I would be angry, too. She has missed every opportunity lately to do the deed.

The fact that he has been Senor Hielo for so long and that she wants and needs a family explain a lot but he certainly is entitled to feel angry. I just want him to think about how kind she is and to get over it ASAP and before lots of miscief occurs.

If my family purposefully made a fool out of me for someone they have known for less than a year I don't think I would ever trust any of them again. Angry, I'm sure but that would pass but the hurt I would not forget.

Thanks for your kind words about my summary (i.e. rant)

Ecuador Bound: Your idea for the disguised Fer/ Ana plot will never happen simply because it is a great idea! That would be fun to watch, especially seeing Fernando disguised such that Ana does not recognize him.

“I want Fernando to refer to Ana as ‘Mi amor’ in front of Hissabella and Ana… THAT would be a MEGA slap for Hissabella…!!”

You are right, but call me old fashioned. I still want Ana to give Hissy a good right hook.

“Lo que Dios ha unido que no lo separe el hombre”

MartaI, the full phrase needs this tacked onto the end “excepto la Iglesia”. While an annulment could work, this option is seldom pursued in novellas. Mostly a big deal is made of the church wedding and after it is over it is largely ignored.

“Que Te Perdone Dios”

Is this in reference to Osorio for producing this novella?

“He wants a house, mom for his son and focusing on HIS degree and job.”

And that’s the kind of poison that these novellas spew out. Leon is making plans without taking Fannie into account. Of course, it is the Almighty Man that must have everything in order and perfect for the little woman. He might as well change his name to Gaston. I would not be surprised if he was the kind of person that would freak out if Fannie got a job that paid more than his own job. I was also surprised that he courted Fannie knowing full well that she had more money than him. So what kind of message does this send out? That the man is the one who plans and decides? That the man should have more than the woman? That the man’s worth is measured by the size of the engagement ring, job and house?

Note that he totally perverted her words and went into Offended Pauper Mode. She said “I am too young, I am 19” (not sure how since she was 19 at the beginning of the novella, but time continuum paradoxes aside), “I am not ready to be a wife and a mother”, “ Know this, I love you deeply”. Yet all he heard was “You’re a beggar with no money, I don’t love you, beat it kid, you bother me.” Everything he said was about material things: a house, a degree (to get better income), a better ring. He just wanted to pile on everything that he considered important to qualify as a husband. His crying was sweet, but totally unwarranted. She never said no. She said wait. He should have been thrilled, but no, her having different plans, different desires, different dreams than what he had pre-crafted just did not fit into his scheme of things.

Disgusting things for me

Stepping on a cockroach
Seeing Jenny and Johnny together

And in Pablo’s tradition, Knock Knock joke of the day

Knock Knock, is anyone there?
Enrique
Enrique who?
Enrique I am going to tear your lungs out with a spoon as soon as I can move

Interesting quotes of recent episodes:

Reina, as Fannie walks into the Leon’s dining room:

“Bueno, yo me pinto de colores”

Uh, didn’t you do that already?

Manuela: Wow, is your name really Zeus?

Zeus: Yes, as of the gods of the Olympics.

Manuela: Zeus, that would be “Olympus”, “Olympics” is something else, like the stadium.

Not so bright ideas:

Bring in a new pet that will be the main course for Christmas dinner.
Dance till you drop or for 3 minutes whichever comes first when you have a torn ligament
Propose to a 19 year old girl (barring any time continuum paradoxes)
Fall in love with someone who is known to have a Significant Other
Spend all your winnings on a Pole Dancing Workshop business without doing any market studies
Give birth when all that is keeping you from being beaten to a pulp is your pregnancy

Llevame Despacio

This has to be the most ignored love theme evah!

It is Leon and Fannie’s love theme, yet it even though she repeatedly sings to him “Llevame despacio” it seems that he is intent on breaking the sound barrier with her. And does the song provoke couples to commit suicide? Here is part of the lyrics:

llévame despacio
quiero estar contigo
sin equivocarnos
saltar al vacío
pero sin soltarnos

So basically what it is saying is to leap into the void without letting go (of each other). This could work for Hissabella and Enrique.

And…

sin apresurarnos
cuidándonos siempre los dos
llévame despacio

Hello Leon! This is for you… are so busy smooching that you don’t listen?

Salvador:
Your disgusting things and quotes of the day had me laughing so hard. Thanks for a great laugh before the next boring episode.

Salvador: a year hasn't passed so Fanny could still be 19, though it's a stretch. Also, I read in a book (one of the Mars/Venus ones) that the reason men like to tell women about their job, money, possessions, etc. is because that's a man's way of advertising that he will be a good provider and worthy of her.

I also think that the Johnny-Jen kiss was disgusting. But my Cuban coworker says that the Johnny character is not so unattractive in her culture.

I can't get over the way he wouldn't take no for an answer from Ana at the beginning of the TN, how whiney and desperate he was, and how he was always saying crude remarks to women he didn't even know.

I also find it distasteful that Jen would even think about hooking up with her best friend's ex. Hooking up with the father of her best friend's boyfriend was bad enough.

I was wondering if maybe they meant "Johnny's Pole Dance Workout" instead of "Workshop" and something got lost in translation.

I was impressed with Fanny's singing and dancing. I had thought she could dance. Those spins she does with her hair swinging around in the intro seem like a pretty advanced thing. And I think Zeus is going to be a good dancer if he gets a chance.

Sorry for being so absent or so late, barely have time to watch these days. Thank you for the recap Marta.

I thought Fanny's excuses were spot on. Leon acted in a typical fashion, but I hope he comes around and realizes she's right. If not, then Lenin is golden.

I may be the only one who doesn't have a problem with Ana taking care of the baby. The baby is innocent of everyones issues and it needs to be taken care of. Ana obviously loves children and babies are hard to resist.

I also may be the only one who actually liked Magda, she seemed to me like she was really sorry and I can understand her issues with her pregnancy, not that I thought she should have just aborted the baby without Angel's input and discussing her concerns first.

My opinion on who ends up with the baby is; there is no way that Fer and Ana are going to bond with this baby, and they already have, and have them not end up with it. So that means that Isa and/or Enrique will die or be in jail.

Thank you, Salvador, for a great, end-of-the-day laugh!

I hate to say it, but looking at Victoria's link, we are in for a very dry season with what's upcoming on Televisa. I didn't see anything I want to waste my time with.

Lenin is the most frightening kind of narcissist! It is scary to see him try to mold and manipulate Fanny. Feminists beware! We need to keep our daughters, sisters, cousins, friends far away from men like Lenin.
