Hasta el Fin del Mundo #136 Benito's Last Day, Silvana's Wedding Day and Greta's Judgement Day.
Patrick asks Renzi to be a witness at his wedding to Silvana. Once Patrick leaves, Renzi promptly picks up the phone and makes an CYA call to Peralta.
The next morning, at the courthouse, Silvana and Patrick are waiting for the clerk to call their names. Renzi has yet to arrive. Patrick begins to get frosty tootsies and tries to talk Silvana out of the shotgun nuptuals. She's too classy to get married by a Justice of the Peace, he says. A chick like her needs to get married in a church with a wedding planner. Silvana will hear none of it. They will get married right now and plan a big shindig on the honeymoon. Their conversation is chillingly interrupted by Peralta who believes that his invitation got lost in the mail. Patrick pees on himself a little bit when he turns and sees Peralta and his thugs.
Peralta says that Patrick should be marrying Sophia and not Silvana. He says that Patrick cannot marry without his permission. Silvana protests and says that she and Patrick are in love. She boldly assures Peralta that the secret marriage will not change the outcome of Peralta's evil plans. As husband and wife, she and Patrick will continue to work towards the destruction of Ripoll. Peralta is pissed and says that Silvana knows too much! Peralta calls the wedding is off! Silvana tries to protest but Patrick tells her to OBEY! Peralta and his two thugs escort the happy couple out of the courthouse.
Ripoll
When Sophia arrives at work, Paco is waiting in her office. After stuttering a bit, he gets to the point. I'm your daddy! Yes, that's how he said it. At first, Sophia thinks he came from Crazy Town. She tells him that he's mistaken, her father was a dead alcoholic named Cipriano Fuentes. Paco tells her that Greta lied, he's her daddy. Greta was the love of his life and he hated her for leaving him. Sophia is impactada! Then who was the dead dude? Paco says that he doesn't know, but what is important is that she is his kid. Anyway, he tells her that Greta finally revealed the truth to him. The wheels start to turn and the Bimbo realizes that she was crying over a dead stranger. Worse yet, her mother sent her on a wild grey goose chase when her real father was always located right across the street from Ripoll. Sophia wants to know why her mother hid Paco from her. Paco explains the silly promise at the altar. Sophia is shocked to know that Octavio knew that she was not his daughter.
Paco recalls the day that he and Sophia met. It was Ripoll's 30th anniversary. He says that he immediately got a warm fuzzy feeling from being near her. That sounds a little creepy when your father says it. So, they decide that they like each other. They hug it out and agree to learn more about one another.
Divorce Court
Araceli runs into Armando's lawyer at the courthouse. He tells her that he got there early so that he could tell the judge that Irma is a suicidal, paralysis fakin', false report makin', lying nutjob! Top that! He will ask the judge that Nandito remain with Armando until the case is decided! Araceli says that she will ask the judge to declare the child's mother's home as his primary residence. So there!
Armando's lawyer explains Araceli's case to him. Armando tells the lawyer that Nandito wants return to live with Irma. The lawyer advises Armando to return Nandito home immediately! The judge will see this as kidnapping! It is against the law to keep anyone against their will. Armando believes that if he takes Nandito home, Irma will continue to brainwash him against Armando. Armando just needs a couple of days alone with Nandito to undo Irma's damage and to reprogram the child with his own agenda and to make them a family with Alexa.
Araceli meets with Irma and informs her that Armando's lawyer plans to tell the judge that she's psychotic, suicidal, pathetic and useless to this show! Araceli advises Irma to see a therapist. Once the judge hears Armando's case, Irma could lose her kid. Irma says that she is the sanest person in this whole situation.
Benito's Last Day
During breakfast, Paolo stops by Snob Hill to pick up Alexa for rehearsal and wardrobe. Benito escapes from the bedroom and is corralled under a table. Once outside, Alexa tells Paolo that she's bummed because Nandito gave the pig back and wants nothing to do with her. Paolo says that she should have expected the boy to hate her. From Nandito's point of view, she's Yoko and she broke up the band. Alexa insists that she is not a man-stealer. Alexa doesn't want to take Benito back to the pet shop and asks Paolo to keep the pig. Paolo says that he travels a lot and would be unable to keep it.
At the pet shop, the tree huggin', tofu eatin', hemp wearin', pet shop owner chastises Alexa for bringing back the pig! Although Alexa does not ask for her money back, the animal activist explains that pets are our friends and are just like children. They have feelings and emotions and feel very sad when they have to adjust to different families and environments. Suddenly, this hippie PSA is interrupted by a little girl who falls in love with Benito. We are happy to learn that Nandito made it to a new home and not to someone's plate.
Greta's Apology
While Paco visits Sophia, Greta visits Lupe. Greta apologizes to Lupe for kicking her buns out of the factory. If Lupe would like to sell her buns in the cafeteria, Greta will allow it. Lupe refuses to return because Greta insulted her son! Lupe will sell her buns on the street corner before she returns to a place like Ripoll. Lupe says that Greta is a stuck up, judgmental hypocrite! Greta may not like the fact that Lupe sells her buns, but Greta's candy is infected and no one knows who contaminated it. She's heard that there are several suspects... and some are chocolatiers. Yeah, she went there!
Anways, Greta runs over to Ripoll to tell Sophia that Lupe did not accept her heartfelt apology. Sophia confronts Greta about Paco!
Thanks to Jarifa for yesterday's recap. I really appreciate it!

At last, Sophia knows the truth. Seeing father and daughter bond should be interesting, but the big reveal was so long in coming I was more relieved than entertained.
My favorite moment by a mile: Lupe sticking it Greta. I don't think anybody has ever told Greta off better than Lupe did. Very satisfying.
Boohoo, Peralta rained on Silvana's parade. Always nice to see Pato cowed.
Araceli & Irma need ANVILS! Nandito is getting on my damn nerves: I need Frank Underwood to unleash epic terror into the stupid kid!
One thing I'm guilty of, is coming into these TN late. After I finish watching one, I always say "I'm done, no more." But my wife watches them and then something happens in the episode that piques my curiosity and I'm stuck. I didn't come into this TN until after they changed the actor who played Chava so I've missed a lot. So my comments are from where I've picked up.
Sophia seems like a really nice woman but Cyn called her a Bimbo. Was she a B***h in the beginning?
I like the scene between Don Paco and Sophia and was going to say that I can't believe that the truth was found out so soon. Paco found out 2 episodes ago and Sophia finds out right after, usually they spread it out forever but this seemed very quick. But I'm guessing the viewer has known forever and was waiting for this moment for a long time.
I thought Greta would be more humble in her apology, which was very cold, but she couldn't do it. I don't fault Lupe for going off like she did, she was publicly humiliated by Greta.
I agreed with Sophia regarding Alexa. She should not have gotten involved with a married man until his affairs are taken care of.
It seems these TN's love the "who's your daddy, who's your momma" plotline. Every now and then would be cool, but does every TN have to have one? It lacks originality. So far I do like this show and from the previews it looks like it's going to get better.
And a note. The mexican viewers can enjoy this story after the final, because they are going to the theatre with a musical from this story.
Thanks for your comments. I too like this telenovela although sometimes I think the storylines are kind of crazy.
I refer to Sophia as a Bimbo because I think that she's dumb (a lot of times). Also, she is a CEO of a company and sometimes shows up in hooker wear at work. Also, she makes out with her mimbo at work...most recently, she made out with Chava out in the hallway of Ripoll. It wasn't just a smooch...it was a he had her back up against the door with his tongue rammed down her throat kiss.
Please stop by an comment any time!
I don't know how Araceli is going to react to the news but I predict it won't be great and she'll be her usual unbearable self going on about what Sophia did to her, how she stole Chava from her, how it can't be true (no puede ser) etc..
In reality, Araceli dumped Chava for Pedro and ran off with him up north. When she came back to town, regretting it all and wanting Chava back, Chava was clear the moment she expressed feelings for him that he no longer saw her that way, that he only wanted to be friends and that he now had eyes for Sophia and knew what real love was. This hasn't stopped Araceli from throwing her lips and body on Chava as much as possible, not taking 'no' for an answer and telling others that Chava was sending her mixed messages (not true) and that Sophia took him from her (also not true). I don't think Sophia/Araceli have even had more than a couple actual face to face talks at this point and if either of the two has malice and has done something to the other, it's Araceli hurting Sophia.
I just can't stand her and think that she's 10x worse than Irma because at least with Irma, her suspicions about Armando using her lie about Nando as an excuse to run in Alexa's arms and her overall paranoia about them carrying on something more than a work relationship early on were all kind of true. As crazy as she may be, she actually had a leg to stand on- pun intended - where as Araceli is just full blown stalker delusional, what she did at the hotel with Chava IMO was most definitely criminal and she has a horrible personality to boot.
Ugh, okay.. Araceli diatribe over.
Lupe's speech to Greta was great!.. but it would have been better if she didn't have a daughter named Marisol who always has a sour puss and seems to be just as judgmental and class conscious as Greta.
'AlejoP' said the finale will be on April 26th, is that in Mexico or the US because if it's Mexico you can tag on another month since we are like 15 episodes behind give or take which would take us to the end of May. I personally really like this TN and am happy that it's getting a lot of episodes. There may be some things I don't like but overall, I enjoy most of the characters and storylines and would happily see it through the end.
¡Porca miseria! (For those of you who watched QPTR) Loved the pet store lecture. So sorry that this is the last we will see of beautiful little Benito. Too bad Alexa gave in so easily to Fausto (Greta by extension). She is such a wimp on so many fronts!
Great scenes between Paco and Sofía. Can't wait until Araceli finds out she is not an only child and that her half-sister is a Ripoll. I was so glad to see Sofía tell Greta that she knew Paco was her dad.
Best line: Lupe to Greta: If that was an apology better you had saved the trip. Of course Luoe had to wimp out later to bring Javier a holy card and visit a bit.
If not a wedding, what does Peralta have in store for Silvana and Patricio? Looks like nothing good. :)

"He tells her that he got there early so that he could tell the judge that Irma is a suicidal, paralysis fakin', false report makin', lying nutjob!"
I have no sympathy for Araceli and her futile attempt to reconnect with Salvador, and as Linda correctly states, it was she that ran off, so she made the bed, she can lie in it. However, I bet Paco, the fat eunuch, hasn't the uh, .... to tell his own daughter about Sofia and Araceli will find out from someone else. Bad Eunuch, bad. You would think, if he discovers a half sister of his daughter he raised from infancy, he'd give her a heads up. But he won't, he's had an obsession with all things Greta and now will act like he's won the lottery and if Araceli is butt hurt, I'm ok, cause daddy likes the new one way better and it shows.
No way that little girl would go for the bigger little pig when there was a whole bunch of real little ones in the pen. 6 months and Benito will look like Paco.
I do think that when Araceli finds out that Sophia is her half-sister, it will send her through the roof. The past few times she's talked to Don paco about Sophia, Don paco rebuked her pretty roughly. I think Araceli will remember this and think he's choosing Sophia over her. In fact, I think she might take everything he does as a sign that he's favoring Sophia. If Greta was truly the love of his life, I could see why he might have a slight favoring of Sophia. Also, what happened to Araceli's mother?
Armondo's lawyer plans to tell the judge that she's psychotic, suicidal. pathetic and useless to the show! OUCH!
Palo stops by Snob Hill.
Bryan---I got in a little late also but before you. Yes Sophia is a nice lady. She could be a little smarter at times but she is nice and a good person.
I thought that the little girl in the pet shop was sweet and adorable---Benito will have a good home for sure.
A couple of episodes back we saw in the advances Pato putting liquid drops in Silvana's drink. I thought that he was going to kill her but I guess that we were being shown a flashback. However it doesn't look good for Silvana on Monday.
Can anybody tell me why Peralta wants Silvana dead and also why Peralta wants to destroy Chocolates Ripoll?
Must see tv esta Lunes.

Peralta wants Silvana dead because he thinks she knows too much. I can't remember whether she knows about the real estate deal, but she does know Peralta's name and now she knows his face. She knows that Patrick was behind the plot to destroy Ripoll. Neither he nor Patrick know that Silvana has another plan to take down the Ripolls.
Peralta wants to destroy Ripoll because he wants the property that it sits on. Most of the people that live in the neighborhood work for Ripoll. If Ripoll goes down, the people will move and his client's can build whatever it is that his client's want to build.
Hopefully, the politically correct police won't read your comments Tofie. ;-)
Ok so this makes me wonder about Chava. Araceli is addicted to him. She hops on when he's unconscience. On the other hand, Sophia has slept with him once and seems to be done with that part of their relationship.
Which brings me to Patrick...he must be the bomb because Sophia will do anything to hook up with him.
Lucas never got a second shot at it either. Hmmmmmm. He looks like he knows what he's doing.
Renzi looks like he'd be a freak, but we wouldn't know because he doesn't seem to give repeat performances.
Ann-NYC
I'm wondering if I watched that one. Was that the one where the woman left the baby on a trash can, and he was found by the homeless couple. His name was Matao and somehow the actual parents became friends with homeless couple and took care of them and the child five years later. The homeless couple knew the woman had her child stolen five years earlier but never said anything which had me screaming at the TV. That was the first TN I ever saw and I guess I was hooked after that.
I wonder if Ripoll Chocolates have
a chance? Well it's a novela and the good guys always win right?
She already sees her as the enemy and is kind of obsessed with her even though Sofia hasn't actually done anything directly to her and doesn't really give her a second thought.
Araceli is also second fiddle in respect to Chava. Will surely be second fiddle in respect to Paco. And she was devastated when she found out that her Mother was basically second fiddle to Greta so finding out that Sofia is the child, not she, who was born out of her father's true love?
I wouldn't be surprised if girl is committed to a manicomio or starts sticking pins in a Sofia voodoo doll.
..and I kind of love it because Sofia IS better than her so yeah. Too bad so sad.
Ouch! Say it ain't so! 196 episodes? That's longer than LQLVMR.
Gringo, we have talked about the way DZ kisses quite a bit in the comments. He is just a gross kisser. Nothing romantic or subtle about him. I was sorry to see Pedro leave. Even thought the show was pretty chaste with him, it was at least sweet or romantic. DZ has all the sex appeal of a boxer dog humping Sofia's leg.
I did like the scenes between Paco and Sofia. I was glad Paco didn't wait to break the news to her. Araceli will not like this one bit.
Now that she knows Octavio knew Paco was her father, will Sofia be open to the possibility that her sainted papa also stole Paco's chocolate recipes? That was never resolved. She still thinks Paco made it all up, and Octavio and Coria are innocent.
Glad Benito found a new home immediately. How long till Nandito starts pining for him? Too bad, so sad, Nandito.
ITA that the biggest problem Paco and Sofia are going to have bonding is Araceli, who is already so painful to watch.
"He tells her that he got there early so that he could tell the judge that Irma is a suicidal, paralysis fakin', false report makin', lying nutjob! Top that" and "Araceli meets with Irma and informs her that Armando's lawyer plans to tell the judge that she's psychotic, suicidal, pathetic and useless to this show! were among my favorites.
Finally, Sophia knows the truth about Paco. Now she has to digest Arceli is her sister. Actually, I think the person that will need to fight the bile the most is Araceli - her "rival" is her half sister.
I cheered that Lupe told Greta off in no uncertain terms. Way overdue.
Like you gringo, I am happy that Benito will have what seems to be a happy home.
Silvana is in grave danger...
Diana
is a great novela historian. If anybody will know the name of that novela, Vivi will.
Yes I agree with you in that one novela is all that it takes to get hooked, it happened to me and I came in after the first season but even though I had missed the whole first part, I soon became engrossed with the story and the characters lives that were portrayed in the story. Novelas can really hook you, that's so true.
the gringo
Well, what a waste of pig. There were so many possibilities opened up by the curious decision to add Benito to the cast but he was unceremoniously dumped once he became an inconvenience for Alexa. At lest we could have been treated to an encounter with Greta. Maybe Fausto could have developed a talent as a hog whisperer.
I'm especially disappointed in Nanito. What a wonderful lesson in commitment he learned out of this. Get the kid a pet rock.
Oh well, I'm sure that little girl and her family found him to be delicious.
Carlos
I am confident Benito is a wonderful addition to that little girl's family and that he is a treasured (and uneaten ;) ) member of the family!
Diana
Armando is not going to walk away from his kid and his responsibility as his father. Nandito is HIS son in every sense except by DNA.
@Gringo, I'm glad i'm not alone in this getting hooked on TN. They are very addictive if you catch them at the right time. I've never seen one from beginning(by choice), but my wife will be watching and then something catches my attention(usually a "who's your daddy" scenario).
Thanks Viv for the info!
I didn't know Amando wasn't Nandito's father. It's nice that a man would accept someone that wasn't his blood as his own, well done.
I missed Thursdays episode, so I didn't know what happened with the pig. Curious he would just give it back after all the love he professed for the pig.
I do think that the Don Paco, Sophia, Araceli storyline is ripe with potential and look forward to seeing where they go with it. Could end on a very high note or could end tragically. We'll see.
