So . . .
Yolanda wants to turn her life around. Will she end up turning on her own daughter?
Ana can turn around and be in a new dress. Cute quick change.
What should have been a joyous proposal was uncomfortable to watch because Ana has not kept her own self imposed deadline to tell Fernando the truth.
Isabela's leather dress was very unbecoming on her. Will she ever let Johnny up to get a breath?

Terrific recap, so well detailed; you hit the nail on the head on every point.
Well it looks like we've rolled over dead to a Johnny/Jennifer couple, no big lead up or anything; Jennifer just received the divorce decree and now has Johnny saying "te amo" over and over again in such a sickening voice and with such a gross puppy dog expression (to me).
Ana is going to be in big trouble when Fernando finds out about Chicago. Enough said.
I'm still taking votes on who will be the one to tell Fernando about Chicago, if anybody else cares to vote.
I never thought about "Novia" being interpreted as Bride, so I was glad to see your translation. But I remember that Diego's banner said the same thing, and I really didn't take it to mean Bride in that instance. Oh well, I'll ask hubby later about the word's nuance. But the translation is probably different from country to country.
If Nando ends up with Ximena and not Edith, I'm going to be disappointed. To me, it will appear that he just chose 'body over brains', because Ximena is an air head. IMHO, such a choice sends the wrong message to the young female audience watching--Barbie and blonds always win.
More later. Again, fantastic recap and very much appreciated.
Forgot to say how utterly inappropriate Isa's dress was for a professional working environment.
I really think that as heartfelt as it was, this proposal was inappropriate. It makes the children the reason rather than Fernando's own feelings and it's a setup for the disappointment, confusion, and whatever else Ana said she wanted to avoid. Which will make the blowup all the worse when it comes.
I agree that the proposal was awkward in the sense that, if Ana had not said "yes", her rejection would have extended to the kids. (Guess there wasn't room on her finger for one more ring from little Dieguito.)
I still find it sad that Manuela, after being rejected by Bruno, running away to join a cult, being rescued from the cult by Bruno, and finally coming back to her old self...after all that, Bruno just blows her off? That is soooo sad. Now she is just a piece of furniture in the background.
I am wishing that Johnny would get caught with Isabella and Jenny throws him to the curb...but after watching the new intro sequence, there's no way that's going to happen.
Guess it's my night to complain. I did enjoy the recap though!

“I agree, bro,” said Eros. “But I'm not sure he knows what 'normal' is.”
"one-shoulder black dress only an inch too short for a proper society wife."
ITA, Fernando has forced the formal novia issue and shouldn't have done it in front of the kids which eliminated a negative response. Great move though, to pin Ana down, because she's been able to rope a dope and he got her in a corner.
I don't like that Juan just decides to show up at the back door unannounced because Ana doesn't take his call. I know he has the camera but that could wait till the morrow. He didn't look very pleased about the formal relationship.
Why didn't we get to see Ana's response to Angel after he got down on one knee and professed his love for her? Is it of importance or bad editing?
So hard for Ana to give up her old life, maybe she won't. I don't think the patrons of Chicago will care if she is Mrs. Lascuráin or not, low lights, couple drinks, skimpy clothes and a pole.
With Fanny and cannot understand any reason Isabela should be working at company.
The whole Fanny & Leon thing confuses me. Ah, to be young and dumb again.
Fernando should go to court and take custody of the baby.
So what, Yomama feels a little guilty, she's vile, show us something.
Add me to those, who though it's supposed to be cute to include the kids in the proposal, put this into the " you can't say no" category. And certainly not able to take the moment to have a chat about a certain side job.
Add to that Ana confessing to Mags that Fer and the family is the family she always dreamed of and that made me do a double take. So is she really in love or just so into the idea of having this perfect world? Again, really need to have the writers think before they write.
And maybe I'm in a minority, and once thought wayyyyy back they were a cute end game, but Fanny and Leon...that grab was so NOT okay. There seems to be all the side characters still pushing for these two, yet the have their mini-galan pulling that crap? Ah, no. Leon can take his temper and exit stage right.
Where the heck did Freeky Eeky go? He needs to escape and spice this show up. Isa and Johny does not qualify for me as fun viewing.

As to Fernando's omission of DN in the seven rings proposal, it confused me, too. He has thus far displayed no sense that this baby isn't his; Ana is the only person who has expressed any doubt of the child's paternity and only to Isabitch. This issue will have to come up soon if there are truly only 176 episodes.
I think the editing was bad; there was a line where she said something about this can't be, but since it flowed directly from the ending shot and there was little beyond that, I didn't realize I had omitted it. He was staring into space and she said, "Talk to me" and he looked a little embarrassed. This was less than 15 seconds.
"Giving up her old life" is only difficult for Ana because she needs to do it in a way that won't follow her. Getting Dorofeo arrested and put away without having to tell Fernando would be ideal, but extremely difficult.
I also believe Ana's attraction is to the children and family environment than it is to Fernando as a man. Leading me to believe Angel would do just fine. He loves her, wants children badly, ready to begin right away, gives her more time to resolve if she wants to continue at the club or enlist her mother to help with a disclosure. I recall, had Juan agreed to marry her (she was doing the asking) and have children this story would be very different.
I have to chime in on this episode simply because DizzyIzzy has stepped up her game. The leather dress she had on would bring most men to their knees...And also give added reason to continue to tune in to this show. (The kids are all boring, the 19 year old Fanny has no clue to what romance should be simply because she only 19....the same goes for Nando, how old is he, 18 maybe?)
I hope Johnny hires Izzy as a pole dance instructor, or offer her free classes...Also, Johnny should employ Manuela to take to the poles too, and maybe she can win back Bruno. Manuela has a bigger arsenal of weapons than Izzy, and if she ever uncover them, she will have Bruno stuttering again in no time.....
P.S. my spell checker is not working, so I hope Cathyx will halp me out....lol
The actors in this series have great facial expressions.
I think Ana was first attracted to the children, but I don't think she is more attracted to them than to their dad. He is exactly the sort of man she wants; the million$ are a mere bonus. He is responsible, was a faithful husband to his children's mother, a good son, and he has been learning to be a better father.
I will be severely disappointed if this story ends without the two of them being together.
One small point to add. In the office setting, Isabela wants to talk about a salary increase because, as she says when she addresses the camera directly, if Fernando finds out the baby isn't his, she will lose her allowance for him.
The scene with the kids was sweet but really inappropriate. I am a fan of Fernando's but drawing the kids in definitely trapped Ana, who is so very reluctant to spill the beans to begin with.
I wish we knew whether Johnny and Jenny were the end game from the start or if Osorio responded to some audience dislike of Jenny and Nico together. Or, perhaps the actor who plays Nico had other plans.
Isabela throwing herself leather-clad self on Johnny is so unbelievable. Oh well, lots of crazy things in novelaland.
I also will be severely disappointed if Ana and Fernando are not together at the end.
Juan was the best Ana believed she deserved until she met Fernando and he showed interest. Having the children respond to her also provided confirmation she was ready and capable of motherhood. She later discovered Fernando is not the only man, of better caliber than Juan, that desires her and not just for her beauty. Diego did and now Angel. Angel fits all criteria and the only thing she would have to resolve is a possible separation from Fernando's kids (maybe she works in Angels practice), would Magda cause a stink and if Angel would accept her night job.
I also think that the whole proposal thing was inappropriate, I guess in the latin culture asking someone to be your girlfriend is equal to asking them to be your wife.
I'm not a fan of the whole Nando/Ximena/Edith situation because it's beyond ridiculous to me, but Edith is showing more of her insecurity because from what I can tell Nando never said he wanted to get back with Ximena, he only said he was confused and needed time. If she doesn't want to go along with that, fine move on but don't lie to justify your behavior.
I also believe the Isa/Johnny couch thing was completely over the top, who throws themselves at a guy like that in her ex-husbands house?? She didn't think that possibly someone was around and they would get busted, maybe by Fernando??
"Isabela's leather dress was very unbecoming on her."
Not if she trying to land a naco.
"Will she ever let Johnny up to get a breath?"
I hope not! That will be one less character!
Much like the stock market and housing bubble this novella has collapsed upon itself.
The "family" proposal for Ana to be Fer's novia was touching, yet she hesitated for reasons we all know why. This made it sooo difficult to watch and took away all the cuteness and adorability (is that a word?) leaving me wanting to see Sebas do a quick dance number to call my attention away from such an awkward scene.
At this time the best that can happen is for Osorio to come through (again) and just make this pole dancing apocalypse disappear.
a. Chicago could burn down forcing Mr. D to go away and seek greener pastures elsewhere.
b. Mr. could be a victim of a rival hood wanting to move in on his turf.
c. Mr. D could find some one younger and more daring than Ana and just fire her because she is no longer bringing in the money she used to.
d. Pole dancing could go out of style and be replaced by WWE wrestling matches.
Somehow I don't see Mr. D going to jail due to Ana's detective work, although Johnny is carrying that spy kit so that maybe presents the viewer with a clue.
i have mixed feelings about Fernando giving Ana a 7 ring piece and making it represent the kids...
btw, the question was 'do you want to be my gf', which does not directly imply a wedding ... Yet!
Good thing that Fernando recognized by just looking at him that it was not Nando's best moment and that he was going through something that needed to be dealt with too... but Nando was willing to step back and give Fernando this one AWESOME moment first.
While I didn't like him using the kids to force an answer, she has been using the kids as an excuse not to commit to him. He took that right off the table.
If she was serious about Fernando she would discuss with her family and friends how to get want she wants instead of playing not to lose. It's all a matter of commitment.
I hope both Fanny and Nando are single at the end of this, because they want to be. They are too young to have a "forever after".
I wish Ana would just tell Fer the truth. It really is starting to bug me.
Agree that Freeky needs to make a return to spice things up.
Isa should be making a ton of money as VP of such a large company. Though I don't fault her for asking for a raise, just her reasoning.
And Fer keeping her on because she's productive, etc. Sorry, she hardly seems to work a full day, she spends most of her time doing other stuff, I would bank if he placed an ad for her job he would get some equally qualified, perhaps even MORE productive people applying. That was a really stupid line of dialog...again writers, c'mon.
Watching Siete yesterday, I would love to see an episode, aka the Rugrats episode from back in the day, told solely from that pups point of view. Bet he and viewerville would be high-fiving after that. Big time.

In the first set of credits, we see all of the different characters and their triangles.
We see the Ana / Fernando / Isabela triangle. Later on, we saw a Diego / Ana / Fernando triangle and towards the end of the new credits, we saw a Fernando / Ana / Angel triangle.
Interestingly, we didn't see a Magda / Angel / Ana triangle. We saw Angel grinning and Magda popping up and waving from the maze.
There was the Fanny / Leon / Tamara triangle in the very beginning.
We saw a Johnny / Ana / Fernando triangle briefly.
But Jen/Nico were in the Yolanda / Nico / Jenn triangle. I didn't see Johnny being a part of that triangle.
So I wonder if audiences didn't like Jenn/Nico together or didn't want them back together for how he dumped or or if the Nico actor had to leave the production or all of the above?
I'm with Edith. If, after all their experiences, Nando still isn't sure she's better for him than Ximena and "needs time to think", then she's better off without him. Not to mention that they apparently slept together and then he started avoiding her. Not cool, Nando. He's too immature. His relationship with Ximena was based on manipulation, abuse, and dysfunction. Edith is better in every way. But I think she deserves someone more mature than Nando. They share a lot of interests and his shyness and inexperience felt safe to her, but surely she could find someone more her own age who can deal with her issues and isn't waffling over someone who brought him endless misery but who isn't a pushy sabelotodo all about getting her onto his own agenda like Lenin and Leon are with Fanny.
I liked the proposal with all the rings, but didn't understand why there wasn't one for DN and didn't like how Guille and Alex are always lumped together like they are one person. Normally I don't like proposals that put the person in a position where there is so much pressure to say yes, but in this case I think Fernando was pretty justified in thinking this was definitely what she wanted. She's made it clear she wants to stick around and be part of their family. He just doesn't know about the dancing thing that's weighing on her mind...though he seems to be starting to get a clue and not freaking out. And doing this with all the kids there shows her that he's all in and the kids are on board, which is something she was worried about.
Leon is getting less and less appealing. I was glad Fanny called him out when he blamed her for their breakup. She would have been happy to keep dating and take things at an appropriate pace for her level of maturity. She isn't ready to get married and she wasn't mean about that, just honest, IMO. And they really haven't been together for that long; it isn't like she was dithering or leading him on. But he was all "marriage now or it's over and I'll be horrible about it!" Jerk. Although I also liked that Ana called Fanny on her little princess complex in a previous episode when Fanny was saying Leon didn't try hard enough to be with her. Ana said he asked her to marry him, and had made all the pictures and courted her, which all showed he was serious. Fanny seems to expect her suitors to fall all over themselves to prove their devotion without giving so much in return. I agree with her that Leon gave up awfully fast when she said no to marriage, but I don't know what she expects. She just isn't ready for more than casual dating and I don't think she should demand such displays of dedication when she isn't ready to make a similar commitment in return.
IMO he didn't include a ring for DN out of respect for her feelings about the whole "Isabel is pregnant with my child, I have to marry her, not you" thing.
But really, Ana must have long slender fingers to be able to put 7 bands on one little ring finger!
I did like how Fernando made each ring coincide with a part of Ana's personality juxtaposed to one of his kids. It made it seem as if he really put a lot of thought into popping the question. But maybe there should have been a ring for Siete since he was such an integral part of the proposal. I never did recall why the name Siete and not Ocho for the dog.
Someone mentioned earlier about Bruno brushing off Manuela. Just another flip/flop on Osorio's part.
And what ever happened to Edith's stepbrother getting put in the slammer but who's last words were "you don't know who you are dealing with"????
"Hey Ana it's Angel. How are you? Great. Where's Mom?"
"Oh she's with Yolanda shopping."
"Cool. I have some time, wanna fool around?"
If I recall correctly, Ana named the dog Siete in honor of the seven children who adore him. I don't know if people in Mexico regard their dogs and cats as family members the way we do in the US. My cats are my babies!
Bruno brushing off Manuela is consistent with her attitude when he pulled her out of the cult (a plotline that made no sense at all, so it must have been done because the actress needed a break for some reason).
As for Edith's evil step-brother, his line doesn't have to mean anything other than he thinks more highly of himself than he deserves to.
If the kids had not been in the room, Ana would not have said yes.
Julia: agree with you about the proposal.
Don't see why Ana/Fer wouldn't be together at the gran finale.
Nanette
I read last night that Osorio had been named "Mr. Amigo" for 2015 so I guess his Mexican / Texan audience is pleased with MCET.
I thought the proposal was touching. He included his children because they are part of the Fernando package. She marries him, she marries all of them.
It would be out of character if Fernando is going to be mad that Ana is a pole dancer. And if he's as in love with her as we are to believe, then I can't believe he would break up with her because she lied to him about this after she explains why she has hid it from him.
Urban
I've read comments online from the Mexican audience but since they are about 17 episodes ahead of us (156 to our 139), it's better not to say too much except there is some controversy over Fanny and Lenin; the visual disappearance of IkkyLizard, whom everyone thought was suppose to play a more prominent antagonistic role; and the belief that Fernando won't get upset about Chicago (ha).
But what is interesting is that there seems to be very few comments (or none at all) about Nando/Edith/Ximena and nothing that I could see or read about Jen/Johnny/Nico.
But since there is limited access to Mexican blogs from an ip address originating in the US it's really difficult to gage what the Mexican viewers think. But it is definite that one of our favorite characters will reappear for the gran finale, which will be on February 27th in Mexico, with a special edition episode of "behind the scenes" takes and actor interviews on the following Monday.
