3/17 Tue #148Hasta el Fin del
Mundo – May you be in heaven an hour before the anvil with your name on it
falls on your head. --- Old Irish
Telenovela proverb.
Lucas walks the street, anguished
over Rosa's confession
O'hara's Bar – have another pint, mate
Matias is out clubbing with the
wild sis, who doesn't have any plans of leaving anytime soon. She keeps dancing on while all the other
clubbers are busy doing the “Jersey Fist Pump”.
Somewhere between fist-pumps, she confesses to Matias that liquor does a
certain something to her, I don't know, like maybe wanting to take off her
clothes. Suddenly, Matias isn't in such
a hurry to rush home. He pulls out his
rapidly shrinking wallet. I won’t mention what else might have shrunk with
it. I won’t, I just won’t. Thankfully this is the last we see of these
two tonight.
Renzi's Bash – and the Guinness flows on and on
Primazo del Primor finds his
lucky charm and leaves Renzi's party with a lassie.
Penthouse del Perdición
O'liver is bummed about his
mom. Dad just tells him, “I told you
so.” He tells O'liver he’s tried in the
past, unsuccessfully, to get Isadora to stop drinking and even went to far as
to give her an ultimatum. Nothing
worked. O'liver continues to cry. Peralta says the only way to get through to
her is to shut her off. Don't respond to
her calls. She'll soon see he means
business and will agree to rehab. Dad
pretends it pains him to talk this way about her.
Ollie thinks the convo is over
but dad's not done yet. He also wants to
talk about that laddie, Lucas. Basically, once a liar, always a
liar. Ollie tells him it's none of his
business. Ollie repeats Lucas may not
have stolen that damn watch (please, stop
beating that poor dead horse). It
could have been one of dad’s many minions.
Geronimo's convinced Lucas is lying and thinks Ollie's just falling for
his game. Ollie tells dad he values
Lucas' friendship. Lucas was there all
those times Isadora and Geronimo were absent.
Geronimo insists he's just looking out for Ollie's best interest. Lucas is a nobody, a low life. Ollie repeats Lucas isn't a liar and is a
good person. Social classes don't matter
to Ollie. He plans to stay in the boy
band with Lucas and hopes Dad understands.
Fine, Dad hopes Ollie understands he'll no longer support the band. Ollie's fine by that. The band got a good reception with the
concert and can go on without his help.
Always one to insist on getting the last word, Geronimo tells him he
only hopes Ollie doesn't live to regret it.
People like Lucas always end up turning on you.
Casa de O'Miguelina
Rosa interrupts Miguelina's
prayers for Lucas' safety. Miguelina is
not happy to see her. She can't believe
Rosa would have the nerve to show up after all the damage she's done. Why did she contact Lucas after all these
years after she'd made him suffer so much.
Rosa insists she didn't mean to harm him. She just wanted to tell him she was his
mother and to ask for his forgiveness.
“More like a stab to the heart,” responds Miguelina. She begged Rosa not to do this in order to
avoid all this unhappiness. Rosa repeats
she just wanted her son back. She
understands now that this didn't work and Lucas hates her. She doesn't want to cause him any more
harm. But..........she wants to talk to
him one more time. Go figure. Miguelina reports he's nowhere to be found
and doesn't answer his cell. Miguelina
doesn't waste any time laying on the guilt.
Can you blame her? “All
you manage to do is stir up the pain caused by a mother who despised
him!” Rosa denies this and all Miguelina
can do now is wail over Lucas' whereabouts and pray for his safe return. In the end, Miguelina forbids Rosa to darken
her doorway again. “LÁRGATE!!!”
Meanwhile, good princess Dani
looks for him at their practice locale, but no Lucas. She thinks back to a time where he told her
he'd head over to Cantina Cueva Negra to drown his sorrows whenever he was
down.
Lugar de O'Cuco – Karma's a bitch
Rosa tells good ol' Cuco Lucas
isn't home. Cuco isn't surprised, given
everything she dumped on him all of a sudden.
She starts to tell him how bad it was for her in El Norte. She did things she doesn't like to talk about
it. Suffice it to say, life has paid her
back for abandoning her baby.
Patty's Passion Pit
Pato's in the throes of passion,
when he gets an unwelcome call from Silvana.
She misses him oh so very much.
She feels exiled (desterrada),
away from everyone, her friends, especially him. She needs him so much. Well, he's not ready to take the risk just
now. She doesn’t want him to forget her,
erase their memories, their shared moments.
“Of course not,” he says, as tonight's bimbo is reclining on his bed.
“But we have to wait. He Who Shall Not
Be Named has me in his sights too! We'd
better hang up. I'll look you up later.” “Wait, wait,” she says, “tell me you love me,
that you miss me.” Ugh, Silvana, how can
you be so stupid! He tells her he
can't talk now. I'll say. He does tell her
he misses her, more than he thought he would.
“Problem?” asks the bimbo. “Nothing that can't be fixed by your
caresses.” Smoochies. Alone in her room, Silvana doesn't think she
can survive his absence much longer.
Oh, those crazy kids!
How exciting, a long ride on a
motorcycle in the middle of the night while banda music plays.
Casa de O'Ripoll
Alexa returns, accompanied by
Paolo, wearing her ugly stepsister dress.
Sorry, just saw Cinderella and
this jumped out at me. Anyway, she
thanks Paolo for salvaging a disastrous evening. He was only too happy to do it and asks if
she's busy tomorrow. She takes a rain
check. He refuses to let her “mourn”
alone. He suggests she channel those
feelings into her character, Matilda. He
reminds her she asked for his help and put herself in his hands. So, he thinks that going over the
relationship of Matilda and Eric would be a good distraction for her. Alexa
reluctantly agrees and will see him tomorrow.
Fausto walks in just in time to see him kiss her goodbye. She scolds Fausto when he assumes Paolo is
after her heart. He mentions Armando and
that's when she tells him their relationship is over.
Depa De Armando – El Doctor Doolittle
Nandito realizes he'll have a
room in both places and his Mom won't be angry.
Armando assures him everything will be better now. Nandito asks again about Pigleto and Armie
breaks it to him that Alexa had to take him back to the pet store. Nandito cries, thinking of Pigleto in a
cage. It doesn't make him feel much
better that a little girl ended up adopting Pigleto. Armie reminds him he's the one who returned
the piglet to Alexa and told her he didn't want it anymore. Now this little girl is going to take care of
of him. He tells Nandito the little girl
has invited him to visit Pigleto whenever he wants. I
dunno, but Nandito still doesn't look happy.
Casa de O'Ripoll – O'Fausto being O'Fausto
Fausto congratulates Alexa on her
decision to break it off with Armando, calling their relationship more stormy
than calm. She agrees but she misses him
already. Fausto understands but says
what she won't miss are the endless problems with her mother and sisters; and
she won't have to continue with the psychotic dramas with Armie's ex. Breaking it off with him brings happiness
back into her life. Alexa agrees but
says she did it only for Nandito's well being.
Fausto wonders if she's considered what other possibilities this breakup
brings about. For example, the sudden interest
of a certain internationally known actor for a certain screen debutante. She insists Paolo only wants to help her with
her career. Fausto tells her Greta found
their friendship suspicious so he made up a story that they met in Europe. He thinks it would be best if she were to
tell Mama the truth before she finds out some other way. Famous
last words. Alexa refuses to
consider this. Her mother, after all,
failed to reveal all her secrets. Fausto thinks getting the truth out would be
best for everyone. It's time this house
stopped with the secrets and then everyone could live in peace. Fausto,
being Fausto, leaves in a huff.
Casa de O'Chava
Marisol, sans Bratz makeup, is
still looking for Lucas. Lupe tells her
to calm down. Lucas needs his
space. Marisol feels that as his
girlfriend, she should be the one he looks to for support. Lupe advises her to calm down and consider
the bombshell of a story he heard tonight.
Lucas is a good boy, let him figure this out on his own.
Depa de Silvana - Eeeker
Creepy! Iker/Christian is in bed speaking to –--
DANI'S PHOTO!! Eeeeeeewwww! He's
complimenting her on her performance.
He's so proud of her. He's
convinced she's got it all, beauty AND
talent. One day she'll be his. He caresses her photo and then the phone
rings and it's Silvana. She's upset he
hasn't answered her calls, cuz he was at an “event” with Fausto. She's feeling like a prisoner. She can't stand it anymore! She's afraid this will result in a separation
from Pato. Christian thinks that would
be awesome. She could start a new
life. “If it weren't for Pato, they
would've killed me,” says Silvana. “I
know he loves me. No way will I consider
a life without him.” Christian reminds
her how he feels about Pato. She changes
the subject and asks for an update on Mission: Ripoll. He tells her about Greta believing Octavio
had put his ring in her dress.
Silvana thinks he should stop
that and focus on her heart and mental state.
He tells her he's continued to give her the placebo pills. Sooner or later Greta will have a relapse
from which she will not recover. Silvana
certainly hopes so. Even though she's
not there, she won't forget about their revenge.
Casa de O'Ripoll
Greta sits in bed grumbling over
Paco and Lupe. She knows it shouldn’t
bother her. She should dedicate herself
to Octavio's memory. She's his
widow. Hope that works for you, sister.
Casa de O'Paco
Paco is pensive, sitting alone in
the dark. He's thinking back on
conversations with Lupe regarding past loves.
He pictures Greta. In the
present, he finally says, “That's enough, Greta Ripoll, stop tormenting
me. You are part of my past.” He doesn't look too convincing to me.
Cueva Negra – Nanay!
Dani finally makes it there, only
to be accosted by two drunk dudes. She
quickly runs inside, to much leering and wolf calls from patrons. She finds a very drunk Lucas who tells her, “What
are you doing here? Go! Leave!
You betrayed me. I'm going to get
drunk enough to forget my name and forget I have a mother who abandoned
me.” waaaaaaaah, nothing worse than a crying drunk.
“It took me such a long time to accept that I was going to be motherless. Now she shows up. And you!
You took that woman's side.” Dani
explains she only wanted to give her the chance to tell him herself and explain
herself. She suggests they talk
elsewhere. “Nanay! You just want to get me out of here and then
you'll dump me and live your own life.
You're just like my mother. Leave
me alone.” She promises she won't leave
him until he's ok, but they need to leave.
“What for?” he asks. “We're both here.
Why don't we take this opportunity and drink to what we once had; for
that love that is no more.” She tells
him to shut it and tries to grab him, succeeding only in spilling the beer all
over him. He blames the guy next to him
and tells Dani once again to leave him alone so he can get drunk. She tries to reason with him. “No way.
Leave me here. I want to forget
the pain.” She tells him to do it for
Miguelina's sake. She's very worried
about him. Lucas shouts at her to leave
him alone. She asks the bartender to
stop serving him. She calls Miguelina
and only manages to tell her she's found Lucas and he's fine before the battery
dies out. She wasn't able to tell her where
he is.
Casa de Irma
Aracely is having a nightmare
about Chava. It starts off pretty
good. He's talking about the beach and
how he's gonna take her there. He's
always wanted to. Just as he's saying
“come with me and we'll live this adventure together,” when BAM – Sofia appears
out of nowhere, snarling “If anyone goes to the beach with Chava, it'll be
me!” She grabs Chava and plants one on
him as he groans, “Sofia, Sofia” But
dream Aracely objects, just like live Aracely,
“How dare you appear!” Dream
Sofia says “That's no way to treat your sister.” “You’re not my sister. I'll never accept you.” cries Dream
Aracely. Dream Sofia threatens to take
her father's love, Chava's love, everything!
She pushes Dream Aracely away and turns back to Chava and they kiss
passionately, ravenously. Aracely
finally wakes up from her dream.
Cueva Negra
Dani begs Lucas not to drink
anymore and to leave with her. “Don't
get angry, Dani. What did I do? I'm a good guy. I tried to be a good grandson, a good
employee, even a good boyfriend. But
this world is full of disappointments (my
translation of fregaderas).” He ends up crying on her shoulder. When the bartender asks to be paid, he throws
his cash at the bar, saying he's an honest working man. “I don't need nothing from no one. I've gotten where I am without a father and even
without a mother. So there!” Dani drags him outta there before he gets
what he's looking for.
Casa de Irma – Pot and Kettle
Unable to sleep, Aracely finds
her way to the kitchen, only to find Irma preparing an orange cake for her
men. She plans to surprise them in the
morning with a reconciliation offering.
Aracely asks, “Whadda ya mean reconciliation?” Irma says she needs to take advantage of the
current situation. She wants Armie to
realize she is a docile woman and submissive in every sense. Who knows, maybe she'll recover her marriage
and the question of Nandito's custody becomes moot. Aracely thinks this just obsession. HA!
Irma turns and asks her if she might have bit her tongue! “I'll bet your
nightmare was about Chava and that blonde Ripoll.” Aracely admits she dreamed about Chava taking
her to the beach. “That ain't no
nightmare,” says Irma, “That's an erotic dream!” Aracely tells her to let her finish and then
tells her about the part where Sofia butts in.
Irma doesn't find this at all surprising, saying her dream isn't very
original. Aracely repeats her
Sofia-is-taking-everything mantra and reminds Irma of the way her father
treated her at Cuco's. Irma thinks this
is a sign that he's pushed her aside and replaced her with Sofia. Aracely is feeling it, saying Paco made her
feel insignificant. Irma feels it's high
time Aracely started taking her advice and fight back, using those ill-gotten
chocolate formulas. Aracely has thought
about it but is afraid once done, there's no turning back and Chava and Paco
would never forgive her. Irma's heard
that before but encourages Aracely to think positive and know that she'll win –
no, they'll win cuz Irma would help
her. “I can't be like you,” says
Aracely, “do things without thinking; without considering the consequences.” Well, Irma thinks Aracely no longer matters
to Paco and Chava and suggests a test.
Aracely should go to Paco's and see if he treats as he always has and
see if she continues to be his consentida
(spoiled/favorite one).
Cueva Negra
Lucas and Dani are now in her
car. He's embarassed for Miguelina to
see him like this, with beer all over his clothes. Well, where can they take him? Don't even think about taking him to her
boyfriend's. Oh, Dani has an idea but we
have to wait until after commercial break.
Biker Babe and her man
Well, they're finally stopping at
what looks like a deserted jungle area.
He tells her not to be afraid.
Oh, this is soooooo romantic. Who
knows how long they've been traveling.
He tells her not to be afraid, they're gonna have a great time. As long as she's with him, she should never
be afraid of anything or anyone. He
calls out to a Doña Tere. He introduces
her to Sofia. WTH, it’s all so
mysterious. He asks if she has a room
for them. As they get closer, I guess,
to their love nest he tells her what they're about to experience in this holy
place will be unforgettable. Well, so far, I'd be pissed. This better be good. Tere shows up with a torch. Ok this
is not getting better.
Casa del Baterista, O'Juancho
Good idea, Dani. She’s taken Lucas to their bandmate’s
apartment. Juancho takes Lucas
immediately to the bathroom so he can shower.
Casa de O'Ripoll
Alexa has just found out that
Sofia has taken off on a romantic romp with her “Romeo”. As for Dani, she hasn't come home yet. Fausto's a little worried. (What?
The princess hasn't checked in and no one's worried?) He considers calling Ollie but Alexa doesn't
think that's a good idea, supposing they're having a tryst? Dani's not a baby. Surely, she's out celebrating with her
bandmates.
Well, not exactly. Lucas is in a shower with ice cold water.
Back at Casa de Ripoll, Fausto
uses Dani's relationship as an example that Alexa can also move on. What's she so worried about anyway, he
asks. Her “secret” part in that movie? A
secret only to Greta for sure. Or is she
worried about Paolo's interest in her.
Alexa plans on keeping the movie a secret from her mother. As for Paolo, he's just a very attentive
friend. Fausto can't believe that a star
as big as Paolo, with all the adoring fans, doesn't have an interest in
her. Alexa repeats he's not
interested. Besides, he knows all about
Armando. Fausto is shocked she would
tell him about Armando. Alexa confirms
she told him everything; her love for Armando and her affection for
Nandito. She even told him about her
failure (fracaso) in Europe. Paolo has been very supportive and has
recommended she dedicate herself 100% to the movie. As for Armando, she plans on not calling him
or making excuses to see him. Fausto
thinks this is all wonderful. Alexa,
however, can't stop missing him, dreaming about him, and loving him with all
her heart. Sniff, sniff
Juancho's
Lucas survives the shower and is
now feeling very embarrassed. Juancho
offers to go out for something to eat.
Unfortunately, Juancho doesn't have “phone” in his home and has no
credit on his cellphone. Dani's ok with
this since she already advised Miguelina that Lucas is fine. Her family must think she's still with Ollie
so everything is peachy. Juancho runs
off for some grub. Lucas thanks her for
rescuing him. They talk again about
Rosa. Dani thinks he should hear her
out. Lucas cries, saying he can't
forgive her.
Survivor
A torch carrying Tere leads our
tortolitos. Is she taking them to the
Tribal Council? Maybe Sofia will ask for
immunity. She leads them to a beach
shack! Sofia sees is as Paradise. Oh please.
No air, TV, or room service? You
gotta be kidding me!
