3/3/15 Tue Hasta el Fin del Mundo #138 Aracely's terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day

I'll go straight to the new stuff.....

Casa Ripoll
Iker begs the afternoon off from Fausto, saying he has a friend in need but doesn't really get into the details.

Casa de Chava – Mi Casa es Su Casa
Chava offers his home to Sofia for as long as she wants.  She assures him she's not planning to abandon the family business but insists she'll never forgive her mother.  Chava reminds her she once told him about his relationship with his father, “There are times one must open one's heart and forgive.”  Sofia insists their situations are different.  He reminds her that his dad did some awful things.  Granted, no parent is perfect and sometimes they'll keep things from you, thinking they're doing the right thing when in reality it ends up hurting you.  Sofia thinks he's so noble, defending his father.  “Aw shucks, ma'am,” he says.  (well, not really but I took some poetic license here.)  He just wants what's best for her and doesn't want her to be filled with bitterness.  Then we get into love talk.  He doesn't want to see her suffer, etc, etc, smoochies.

Chava and Sofia continue to snuggle on the couch.  She will try to follow his advice.  Lupe comes home and Sofia tells her she's found out Paco is her biological father.  Lupe – cara de impactada!

Sofia explains how Paco told her the truth and that Greta came up with the Cipriano story only to keep her at the helm of Ripoll.  Chava tells Sofia Lupe was the one who told Paco about the Cipriano story.  Lupe is all verklempt over what she's caused.  Sofia tells her not to worry.  She's happy it turned out this way.  It's much better knowing her real father is a good man.  It was a relief knowing Octavio loved her even though he knew she wasn't his biological daughter.  Lupe is very relieved to hear this.  She starts to criticize Greta but Chava tells her to leave well enough alone.

Alexa's Nuevo Look
Paolo and the Guillermo approve Alexa's new look.  Paolo tells her he just wants what's best for her.  She spontaneously hugs him and gives him a kiss....on the cheek.

Casa de Paco – Spit it out, man!
Paco doesn't know how to break it to her.  He starts with the relationship with Greta.  Aracely bitterly reminds him this love is what kept him from truly loving her mother.  Paco insists the love he had for Greta and his wife (forgot name, sorry) was separate and distinct.  He's sad to hear she's so bitter.  Well, he jumps in.  “So, it's like this.  This 'thing' between Greta and I.  Well, something came of it (huella: fingerprint).”  Aracely's spidey sense is tingling now. Paco continues to stumble, and finally blurts out, “Sofia es mi hija!!!”  tan-tan-TAN!!!

Aracely reacts as we all knew she would.  “It's absurd! That woman (Greta) is an habitual liar and now she comes out with Sofia is your daughter!  Impossible.  That she was the love of your life means nothing.  That woman lay with Octavio and who knows how many others!”  WHOA, now.  Bottom line:  she doesn't believe it. It can't be.  Paco tries to convince her, saying he had an inkling.  He knew there was something there.  Besides, her birthday coincides with the time he and Greta were together.  Greta has confessed and he has no reason to doubt her.  He explains the whole Greta-was-pregnant-and-Octavio-knew-it-but-hated-me-so-much-he-married-her-anyway story.  Not only did he take Greta but he also took Paco's right to raise his daughter.  Aracely refuses to accept it.

Aracely is in full blown tantrum mode now.  She doesn't understand why Greta would make up such a story.  She must be up to something.  Paco, frustrated, reminds her that Greta, of all people, would have never wanted the truth to come out.  He tells her about the Unbreakable Vow and how he always had an intuition about Sofia.  She and Sofia are sisters.  “Oh, hell no.   That woman will never be my sister, you hear me?!  Never will I accept someone who took everything from me.  She will never be your daughter, much less my sister!”  She storms out of the house.  Poor Paco tries to stop her but to no avail.

Casa de Chava
Lupe figures it's gonna be tough going when Paco breaks the news to Aracely.  Sofia acknowledges Aracely has never liked her because of the Chava thing.  Chava reminds her he had always made it clear to Aracely his heart belongs to Sofia.  Sofia understands that but it still doesn't mean Aracely will accept her.

Lupe pities poor Aracely, but she's a good girl at heart.  She'll come around.  Sofia needs to rush off.  Sofia thanks Lupe for her “indiscretion” with Paco.  Lupe assures her she has a wonderful father and it won't take long for them to make up for lost time.

Neighborhood – Woe is Me
Aracely is walking thru the street, sobbing and wailing.  Waaaah.  Her father's words ring Darth-like in her head, “Sofia es me hija.” She repeats this must be a lie, it can't be true.  No puede ser!

Somewhere in a secluded area
Silvana is all alone, trying to navigate around the clumps of dirt on her stilettos.  Now this lady has something to cry about!  Suddenly a cab appears and Christian runs to her.  They cling to each other.  She tells him she needs to disappear.

Silvana cries how she was so looking forward to being Mrs. Pato, being with him for the rest of her days.  But now, sob, sob, now I have to disappear!  She explains how Peralta threatened to kill her.  He made her promise she would disappear.  Christian asks for an explanation but she doesn't really explain anything as he helps her navigate her way back to the taxi on her wobbly stilettos.

Casa de Irma -- La Loca y La Drama Queen
Aracely appears at Irma's door in tears and Irma immediately thinks she might have been mugged.  Aracely bawls that the worst thing in the world has happened to her!  Irma assumes it has to do with that dastardly Armando.  “It's not always about you!” Aracely snaps.  “My father has just told me Sofia Ripoll is his daughter.”  waaaaaah

Alexa's New Look – You had me at Ostras!
Paolo gives the stylist his opinion on how Alexa should be styled.  Stylist gives Alexa the once over and comments that she's a rookie.  She's very lucky.  If Guillermo accepted her, it was only because Paolo intervened.  This takes the wind out of Alexa's sails.  She asks Paolo if it's true.  Paolo explains Guillermo showed him the ad she worked on and was wary of hiring a rookie.  Paolo convinced him by reminding him that newbies need to be given a chance.  He did it because he was so taken by her at first glance.  She's not open to having a relationship.  He tells her he understands, that she's involved with that other guy, that she enjoys complicated relationships involving someone with children.  He tells her she's wasting her time on that relationship.  She should be using that energy on the set and on her career.  “If you ask me, I'd end it.” he says.  Alexa doesn't quite know how to take this.  He quickly changes the subject to wardrobe and tells her not to accept anything without his approval.  She tries to break the ice by asking him to take fotos of her in each outfit with her cell phone.  I see where this is going.  He and the director, Guillermo, discuss the appropriate wardrobe for Alexa's character.

Casa de Irma – Ripoll Bashing
Irma thinks this could all be more BS from that vieja Ripoll.  Aracely concedes she doesn't see why Greta would invent this story now.  She's the one who would lose the most.  “Those people” only care about what others will say.  “Well, you're screwed now.  Imagine, you're that blondie's sister!” says Irma.  Aracely doesn't want to hear it.  Irma tells her she's got to accept it.  She's Paco's daughter.  Why, that means she's related to Irma too!  How about that?  Aracely's distraught, “Imagine, the love my father had for Greta caused him to hold back from my mother.  And now, it turns out, they had a daughter!”  Irma's snake-like instincts work their way through.  Just because Sofia's her sister doesn't mean she can take everything from her.  If it weren't for that resbalosa (slippery one) Chava would belong to Aracely.

Alexa's new Look
Photos, photos......... She's sending photos to Irais, and if she likes the look, then for sure Alexa doesn't want it.  They laugh.  Mean girl.

Armie walks in as Irais is looking at the photos.  He starts typing out a message on Irais' phone.  Alexa gets the message and calls him back.  He tells her he what he thinks of her outfits.  Paolo sits in the background fuming as she asks about Nandito.  She sends him kisses.  Armie doesn't tell her Nandito no longer wants to sleep at his apartment.

Alexa is impactada after the call and Paolo points this out.  Instead of feeling happy, talking to Armie only makes her depressed.  Good call, Paolo.

Empresa Ripoll
Greta receives Pato in her office.  She tells him Sofia now knows Paco is her daddy.  She tells him how Paco got it out of her and how she confessed everything.  Sofia is very upset.  Greta feels she's let everyone down, Paco, Octavio, but most of all her daughter.  She couldn't deny it any longer.  The lie became too much for her to carry.  The only thing left now is to try to get her daughter back and beg for forgiveness.  Greta announces that with these new developments, she has no choice but to accede to Sofia's wishes.  She will no longer come to the factory.  She will respect Sofia's decision.  This means that if Sofia insists, she will accept Sofia's wish for Patricio to leave the company.  “No!  You can't let this happen!  You and I were accomplices in this and in many things.  Or don't you remember?” Pato asks her.  Greta's ready for him, “Of course I remember.  Just like I remember how you blackmailed me in order to keep your position!”  Pato tells her he's not proud of that but he had no other option.  For her part, Greta says she can't oppose her daughter, not even to defend him.  For now, she needs to recover Sofia's affection.  Pato assures her she has many options and he will help her recover Sofia's love and confidence.

Elsewhere at Ripoll – Working hard? Or hardly working?
Armie is showing off Alexa's photos to Matias. They're admiring her new “look”.  Armie is sure she has a bright future. He's suddenly sad.  He's concerned he only brings her problems.

Matias shares about his “love life” with Irais and Jo-veth

Casssssa de Irma – La Loca y La Drama Queen
Irma warns Aracely she'd better brace herself.  Paco is sure to try to make up for lost time with Blondie.  She tells her she'll see her even in her soup (jaja).  Seeing how noble her uncle Paco is and seeing how avaricious (avariciosa) Sofia is, she can bet Sofia will be there 24/7!  “She already took your novio.  She may also end up taking your father's love.”  Oooooh, she just went for the jugular.  It would be best to tell her father now that she has seniority here.  Even though Sofia's older, Aracely's the one who's always been his daughter.  She needs to make it very clear to Paco, lest they try to push her aside.  Aracely cries,  waaaaaaaah

Lugar de Cuco
Rosa tells Dani about Lucas' less than cordial response to her call.  Dani confirms Lucas is really angry.  Rosa cries and cries.  Dani thinks it might be a good idea to wait until the day of the concert (???)  He'll be in a good mood and might be more open to her.  Please.

Empresa Ripoll
Matias confesses to Irais he dreamed about her.  He speaks sensuously of her cooking and how he's dying to try her Pato Naranja.  Stupid

Sylvi's Depa
Sylvi's panicked......and packing.  She gives Christian instructions that she'll contact him on how to wire her money.  Christian doesn't understand how Peralta could have that much power over her.  She tells him how she was at Death's door with a gun pointed at her head.  She worries he'll find out Christian is her brother and put him at risk.  It's best for everyone that she leaves ASAP.  She gives him a letter for Sofia.  She doesn't want to see her and run the risk that Peralta will find out she contacted Sofia in person.  She instructs Christian that the plan to kill Greta is still on.  He's to continue giving her the placebos.  She makes him swear he'll continue until Greta's dead.  Their mother might still be alive if Greta hadn't forced Octavio to leave her.

Empresa Ripoll
Pato approaches Sofia as Chava walks her to her office.  He wants to talk to her about her discussion with Greta.  Yes, he knows.  Pato and Chava trade insults.  Sofia agrees to meet with him but only if her lapdog Chava accompanies her.

Casa de Irma – La Loca y La Drama Queen
Before she leaves, Irma urges Aracely to act now before Sofia wins, as she usually does.  It's time she got even with her for everything she's done.  She thinks it's only fair Sofia share some of what life has given her, or has Aracely forgotten the stolen recipes used for the famous Ripoll Chocolates.  She thinks Aracely better wise up before Paco ends up giving Sofia the property he had already signed over to Aracely.  Aracely's fed up and wants to leave.  Irma tells her she's on her way to pick up Nandito from school.  Aracely counsels against this but Irma won't listen.

Empresa Ripoll
Pato confesses it was his idea to give her the name Cipriano as the name of her father as a way to bring her back to Ripoll.  He explains he was as worried as Greta about her.  He didn't know Paco was her father, although he did have an inkling.  Chava immediately jumps in and accuses Pato of taking advantage of the situation so he wouldn't get fired.  Pato swears he didn't know about Cipriano's past.  He apologizes most earnestly (wink, wink) and says he's convinced that Sofia belongs at this factory.

In her office, Greta speaks to Octavio's photo about the Unbreakable Vow.  She's pleading with him to understand she couldn't take it anymore.  She cries as she begs his forgiveness for not honoring his memory.

Back at Pato's office, he wants Sofia to believe Greta had no part in this and he nobly takes full responsibility for everything.  He has the utmost respect for Greta.  Chava thinks this sudden noblesse hard to believe.  Pato ignores Chava and pleads with Sofia to patch things up with Greta.  She was only adhering to the Unbreakable Vow.  Greta doesn't deserve Sofia's contempt.  Sofia squints and says she understands her mother's alliance with him because he's always been by her side.  She'll make amends with her mother. Before he leaves, Chava tells Pato once again he doesn't believe anything he's said.  He knows Pato is up to no good.  After he leaves, Patricio laughs wickedly, bwa ha ha!

Chava catches up to Sofia and tells her to put herself in her mother's shoes to understand.  Sofia knows it will be difficult.  Chava finally says goodbye so he can get back to work but he'll stay if she wants him to.  Not necessary she says and thanks him for always being by her side.  smoochies

Putting myself in Aracely's head for a minute (I'm crazy, but not THAT crazy). She can't let Sofia go even if she wanted to! That Blonde Bitch will be there til the end of days now, or as Irma so eloquently put it, hasta en la sopa!

Thanks, Paquita. The recap was very entertaining. I loved "You had me at Ostras!"

Patricio sure was tap dancing as fast as he could trying to stay employed at the company with Greta's new decision to support Sofía.

Silvana was finally acting like a woman with a brain set on getting out of town asap. Stupid Christian/Iker didn't quite get the severity of the situation but he also did not have a gun held to his crazy head.

I have to say it again: Paco was stupid signing over his worldly goods to Araceli. When will the lawsuit re: the stolen recipes be filed just to get Sofía?

When is Peralta having dinner with the Ripoll clan?

Btw, Greta is still talking to and begging for forgiveness from a dead Octavio. Will she quit when she finally realizes he is not answering her? Sure would like to see Iker make that ghost come alive as Silvana suggested a while back.

Jarifa

This is great Paquita and thank you.

"Casa de Paco – Spit it out, man!"

Paco is such a bumbling boob. I feel bad for Araceli, everyone, including her father, treats Sofia as royalty. What child would want a father tell them the princess of the realm was really the love child of he and the one and only love of his life, the queen? Won't be long and Paco will publish an apology in the paper for being the father of an ugly, frumpy child, with a chamber maid.

I like Sofia until Chava jumps on her and starts licking her face. This TN can do with out that guy.

I would fire Salvador, what a lazy, run about.

Paolo must be either lowering his standards or blind.

Love Irma, she tells mostly the truth and her delivery and timing perfect.

Araceli had better protect herself because the steamroller is coming.

I cannot wait till Peralta starts to woo Sofia.

Great review, paquita!

I don't know what has me shaking my head more, the fact that Salvador actually believed that Arecly would be happy with hearing Sophia is Don paco daughter, or that Don Paco believed it after speaking with Salvador. Also, why did he have to tell her in the worst possible way. She just admitted she still blames Greta for what happened to her mother, yet you want to try to explain how special your love was for Greta? Also, you tell her you're pissed because you didn't get a chance to raise Sophia? Ah, if you had, Aracely wouldn't have been born, I thought for sure she would've thought that but guess she didn't. Like you said paquita, everyone here knew what was going to happened except Paco and Salvador.

Was it ever mentioned how Araceli and Irma are cousins? Is it Paco or Araceli's late Mother who is related to one of Irma's parents? Just wondering if Sofia/Irma are blood related cousins through Paco or not.

What a great title Paquita! The recap was stellar.

“Aw shucks, ma'am,” he says. (well, not really but I took some poetic license here.)" was my favorite line of many.

Yes, Paco was the bull in the china shop yesterday. And Araceli reacted just as we knew she would. Deny, deny, deny. She refuses to accept cold hard truths - Chava doesn't love her and Sophia is her sister. While Paco's lack of finesse is regrettable, it is a shame that her newly found sister is a rival for Chava's affections. Of course she really isn't her rival as Chava loves only Sophia, but it is to poor Araceli's addled little brain.

Jarifa, Christian was infuriating. Yes, he didn't grasp how bad the situation was.

Greta needs to stop mewling and whining and get a grip. Stop asking your dead husband who forced you into marrying him to forgive you. Try and concentrate on groveling to your daughter for forgiveness.

Diana

Irma mentioned last night that if Aracelli is Sofia's half sister that means she (Irma) is related (to Sofia) a little bit too.

After kneeling, groveling and sitting on her ass in that red clay clearing Silvana's black and white print dress looked astonishingly clean by the time Psycho came to get her. In the privacy of the forest she must have taken it off and shaken it out good before he arrived.
I, for one, do not believe she is capable of disappearing and having no farther contact with her life support system for a penis. After watching Mr. Slickness work his charm on Grrrreta to insure that he could continue to implement Peralta's plan, dastardly is almost a compliment. If Sofia were smart (and remember Peralta is the only smart one) she would immediately fire Patrick. Doesn't need to worry about firing Silver...she be g o n e...

Wow! Don Pack just ripped that bandaid right off! Even if he started with..."remember how much you hated being an only child?" the reaction would have been the same.

It's obvious Sil is leaving. But where?? She is so obsessed can we truly believe she will truly try to evaporate into thin air?

For an intelligent woman, she continues to make every bad choice imaginable.

Diana

Thanks so much, Paquita! Great recap.

I missed a part of this because I was in and out of the room. I'm glad Silvana took Peralta's threat seriously. First wise move she's made. But what a waste of a character. I know they will still have her be part of the plot, somehow, but this intelligent, sexy villainess could have been so much more than the writers made of her. And her reasons for wanting revenge on Greta continue to be dumb, as do her methods for getting back at her.

Greta, Greta, Greta. Do you really think that listening to anything Pato says is the way to win back Sofia's affections? She just doesn't learn.

Anybody else think it's creepy that her co-star, not the writers/director/wardrobe folks, has total say in the "luke" they give Alexa's character? It's like she's his Barbie doll, and he's trying to make her into his ideal woman. He is right that Alexa is in an screwed up relationship situation right now, but at least Armando accepts her how she is, crazy flaws and all, and always tried to build her up. This guy is all about tearing you down so that you feel you have to rely on him for approval. She had that kind of sick relationship with Alan. She doesn't need that again. This guy to too controlling.

To me Furbie(Paolo) is just plain creepy.
A. WTF with the big sweater and ski slope scarf thingy wken it I'd apparently arm enough for t-shirts and shorts.
B. Waaaay to chummy with burned-out hippie director.
C.Already attacking Armando and her relationship with his son.
D. Dropping in unannounced/2000 roses/ stalker behavior.

Screw around Furbie and Armie will beat you like a rented mule.

So true, Vivi, about Alexa. She is only in this production because of Paolo and now he is controlling her just like Alan was controlling her career in Spain. She needs to get an acting job on her own and either keep it or lose it due to her own talent or lack of talent. She will never gain any self esteem playing at acting with these guys. Sad but she is either too immature, lazy or dumb to realize that.

Jarifa

All three. But she is cute.

I'm late to the party today. Paquita this was wonderful! Loved the part about Silvana's shoes. Stillettos are for looking at, not walking in. I agree with you Vivi, Silvana's character started out as a smart villaness but went downhill to clingy and pathetic. And Pato has been Wiley Coyote right from the get-go.

I hated Alexa's new look. The clothes look like Goodwill castoffs and the hair is just awful.

Anonymous, We've never heard the exact relationship that makes Irma and Araceli cousins. I assume it's through Paco since his last name is Fernandez and so is Irma's.
