Mí Corazón #161: What Can You Do With A Heart of Stone?

Leon shows up with chocolates for Fanny and makes a special effort not to blow up because he’s just seen her and Lenin kissing.

Inside the manse the security guards makea big show of the alarm and putting in the code to the alarm system to Don Fernando while the twins are watching.

Alicia gets the "exciting" news that Pablo’s coming back to Mexico for good.  (Whoopee.) She promises to intervene for Ana with El Don Hielo. (Somebody should!)  She tells Ana how much she loves her and wishes she were her mother.

The pole dancing studio continues as a ‘work in progress.’  They run through what’s necessary in order to get married.  Blood tests, witnesses, a willing bride and groom…..

Ana writes down a letter of explanation to hand over to Ferd.  Fanny comes in to discuss Leon’s “calm” reaction down in the driveway while she was with Lenin a minute ago.  They discuss his change in attitude and that it was “for love.”

Ana hands over her letter to Ferd and he treats her coldly, ordering her to put his kids to bed.  Once she’s gone he looks over at the envelope and cannot help himself from remembering their passionate kisses.

She instead heads to the library to pray to Estefania’s portrait, asking for a bit of positive intercession here.  Bruno walks in and sees her.  “—Remember how I called him a chunk of ice?  Well, at least ice melts.  It thaws.  A rock is solid.  What can you do with a stone?”  After listening to her explanation, Bruno tells her Ferd wants him spying on her and reporting whenever her friends come to visit her during working hours.  She gets pissed.  “—The guy’s not got just a little pebble, he’s a darned rock! (Lunkhead, more like!) To heck with him!”  She heads upstairs to put the boys to bed.

Manuela walks into the living room afterwards, all dolled up.  Bruno gets a good look and starts giving her the third degree.  She’s going on a date with Zeus. “—Well, good luck with the he-man [fortachon= tough guy, strong man], Hera.”

When Ana enters the boys’ bedroom she notices Sebastian watching that dance video of hers that Isabela sent him.  He’s interested in the mechanics of the twists and turns on that poll and marvels at her agility and skill.  They discuss styles and the acrobatic aspects of the pole.  She mentions the workshop Johnny’s starting.  Seb suggests taking lessons there, in secret of course!  Ana fights the idea cuz she doesn’t need his father even more upset than he is.  Seb tells her how much he admires and loves her and that he wishes he could call her mother.  She kisses the twins good night and they both tell her how much they love her also.

Meanwhile, Angel shows up downstairs—now that it is AFTER  HOURS—with a gift in hand and wants to spend time with Ana.  Bruno races into the library to inform Don Hielo.  He is definitely disturbed, and rushes out to tell him (using the excruciatingly formal “usted”)  that he can wait (till Hell freezes over) until her day off if he wants to visit with his children’s “governess” [institutriz].   “—Oh, and by the way, have you already asked her if she wants to go out with [salir= dating as a couple] you?”  Angel apologizes and tells DF that he doesn’t know what’s gotten into Ferd here lately.  He doesn’t recognize the guy anymore.

Ferd asks Angel if he’s never been deceived and disappointed in the woman he loved.  Angel admits    he has and mentions his ex-wife’s aborting their child without telling him.  Okay then, replies Ferd, you know how I feel.  (Sorry, dude, but there are quite a few layers of deception and disappointment’s difference between not knowing your fiancée is a dancer in a club versus taking the life of another human being!  Talk. To. The. Hand!)  Ali races down to speak to DF and Bruno is forced to show Angel the door.

As for Bruno, he wants to kick himself for “throwing her [Manni] into the arms” of the other man.   Manuela and Zeus have gone karaoke.  (Worthy of a major  FF>>FF>>)  Bruno daydreams of Manni telling him how much she loves him.  Ana snaps him to and he mentions that Angel had come to see her and brought a small gift for her but that DF refused to let him see her.  “—Why? Cuz it was during my working hours?”  Bruno says he thinks that DF didn’t want her going out with Angel and that that’s why he faced off with Angel over her.

In the library, Ali explains that Ana had to work someplace.  Yeah, DF admits he knew there was some sort of contract involved because of the money problems from what Nando told him. It was the lie—the size of that lie— and all the times she snuck out in that raincoat late at night, supposedly to visit with Jennifer, and then disguising herself like some Italian tart!  “--I was such an idiot!”   Ali has to laugh.  “--You remember how Pablo and I disguised ourselves when we met?  It was to avoid being rejected.”  She gives him the “ ‘Love means never having to say you’re sorry’ “ speech.  “—You love Ana and she absolutely adores you.”

Upstairs, Fanny and Ana are having another chittychat about something.  Fanny tells Ana that if she hadn’t lied to her father—kept quiet about it—she’d have never had Ana in her life, and that Ana has taught her so many things that she doesn’t repent having kept the truth about her being a dancer from her father.  They share another hug.

Leon has gone home for din-din.  Viewerville gets a good look at the label on the taco sauce bottle as he and his mother discuss his decision to try a bit longer to win Fanny back, and this time without losing his temper. (Z-Z-Z-Z. FF>>)

Back at the manse upstairs, Ferd and Ana run into each other.  He confronts her and then hands her back the letter, unread.  “—No reason for me to read it.”  They try to move out of each other’s’ way, but can’t.  They almost kiss, but both fight the urge and they walk away from each other.  He walks into his bedroom and sees a piece of chocolate cake with a note from her to forgive her.  He immediately reaches for the letter in his pocket and then remembers he just handed it back to her.  Ana, meanwhile, cries to little sleeping Diego Nicolas in her arms about how Ferd rejected her.

Just then, Manni and Zeus come home.  Bruno comes peeking down from the balcony stairwell so Manni pretends to be kissing Zeus passionately.  She accidentally sets off the alarm and wakes the whole house.  Ana seems to be the only one who remembers the code and she stops the blaring noise.  Bruno declares that it wasn’t necessary for Don Fernando to get up out of bed to put out the alarm.  Ana’s had enough.  She’s pissed.   “—Don Fernando?  Don Fernando nothing!  The only thing we have is Don Flintstone!!”  She turns on her heel and goes back upstairs.

The next morning (we assume it is Sunday and her day off) Ana arrives at Johnny’s Workshop for the grand opening.  She gets the grand tour.  Jens asks about Don Fernando.  “—You mean Don Rock?” (Rock/Blockhead.  Your choice.)  “—Speaking of rocks…”  Jens shows Ana her engagement ring and the two squeal excitedly together.  They're getting married in three weeks.  (Hmm.  That seems long enough for Ana to patch things up.)  Then Jens mentions that both Ana and Don Fernando are listed on the paperwork as their witnesses.  “--Not gonna happen.  That man’s not going anywhere.”  He has to.  He’s been written in as one of the witness.”

At DF’s company, Leon learns his boss is being promoted and that she’s had him promoted to take her place as head of the art department.  A room full of cheers…..Happy, happy!  Joy, joy!

Somewhile later on that week, Nando and Fanny help tape Ana’s confession of love and a request to hear her explanation of why she continued dancing at El Chicago after finding work as his nanny.

Jardinera, thanks for the very entertaining recap! The La Costeña sauce sure got its prime placement. We had another recent commercial a little while back when Jenny and Johnny were eating tuna/chicken salad on crackers amd there was an open can of La Costeña peppers. Subway must be next!

Loved Ana fixing the alarm and referring to Fernando as "don Piedra" to his face.

The whole Ana video taping was just too painful. Fernando needs a good kick in the butt. He is the moral authority when he married one woman (reason does not matter) and coveted/romanced another? Think not. Great example for the kids!

Jarifa

Thanks, J. Witty, precise and on-target with the FF's as always.

SN is looking like her pregnancy might be showing, as others have pointed out.

Alicia is getting prettier and prettier and sure made good sense last night.

The previews show Angel the Stalker kissing Ana so that we can have one more telenovela cliche in place as this novela ends. JA is an appealing actor, but he got robbed on this one. Unappealing and creepy.

I want Ana to stop begging. She has a place in the mansion forever. She needs to act with dignity, take the job seriously, and let Fernando fight with himself until he gets his head straight again. Telling him that she loves him with cake and flowers is important but pretty much beside the point.

Oh, yeah, but he didn't lie, like that neutralizes his other immoral actions. Hope Ana makes him pay somewhere down the line. Rant over.

Jarifa

Thanks for Recap, Jardinera.

I loved the Zeus/Manuala kareoke scene. I laughed my behind off. Please keep them together, they are a funny couple. I enjoyed the kareoke because i never understood the lyrics(they're in spanish) so seeing the words were great. Thank you Zeus!

I was thoroughly enjoying the episode until Fer gave the envelope back to Ana.

I can't defend Fer anymore. His behavior has become pathetic and incredibly childish. He's had plenty of time take all this in and I think Ana has done all she can to show how sorry she is, it's time to let the pride go. I was sitting there thinking, Alicia broke it down like a mature adult and put it right in his face. If she couldn't show him how wrong he is now with what she said, which was brilliant, he's just an idiot.

If there was someone better I would say move on but damn, not Angel. What is his problem? Now he's grabbing her and kissing her? Time to get the restraining order. The doctor can't be going around grabbing and kissing his patients. That's borderline sexual assault.

Excellent Jardinera.

I thought Alicia had gotten through that thick skull of Fernando's, however, I get he would be butthurt again when a man shows up unannounced at bedtime with a bottle of wine and a big smile. That would seal that tiny crack right up.

Some guys never get the point and you have to be mean. Bout time Ana does it with both Angel and Fernando.

How is it Leon has matured and learned to keep his jealously in check if he can stand like a deer in the headlights and watch Fanny and Lenin kiss? Leon & Fanny are not a couple, he is clearly hurt, but Fanny is happy. That kiss should tell Leon all he needs to know. Move on.

Thanks Jardinera and thanks Marta for the last 2. Work totally interferes with my Caray postings.

I was totally creeped out with Sebastian continuing watching Ana's video. Why didn't they remove that from his tablet? I just picture this preteen getting off on his nanny's sexy moves. YUCK!

This has gone way too far with Fernando refusing to hear Ana out. Now he's digging his heels in, sticking his fingers in his ears, and shouting I can't hear you because he wants to sit on his high horse and be righteously hurt.

Beautiful recap Jardinera, great choice of title. I love it when recappers say all the things I'm thinking: Pablo coming back "Whoopee." :( Fernando not even flinching when Angel told him his story of deception "(Sorry, dude, but there are quite a few layers of deception and disappointment’s difference between not knowing your fiancée is a dancer in a club versus taking the life of another human being! Talk. To. The. Hand!)" Thank you!

ITA with you Bryan, Angel is coming off like a stalker now! He needs to go! And ITA Tofie, Ana needs to hut him down quick, that behavior is unacceptable! Also agree about Leon and Fanny but we all know where this "he changed for love" thing is going, ugh!

I just want this thing to be over! Bring on the finale with all the stupid, predictable couple pairings.

Sorry that should be put* him down :)

Jardinera!@! aswesome awesome recap!! loved the scenes of Ana smelling all around Fernando 's neck as if she was having a difficult time letting him go by her... and he did not exactly back up.
THen he reaches in his jacket pocket for her letter when he sees the cake and note card... the ice is cracking and ANa just needs to give him more time. He is not quite a stone yet. but i will agree with those who say she needs to continue to remind him she loves him but without humilliating herself in the process. I love the fact that she keeps interacting with Fanny Sr... appologizing, asking for a little push ...
Jardinera, you made me laugh, you made me visualizer Fred Flintstone from my favorite carton series as a kid...
Totally give Ana the reason for her small explosion when she turned off the alerm. Fernando needs for someone to make him realize he is acting overboard, too strict and affecting more people, first of all his kids.
Totally loved Alicia's way to put the situation to to him... ultimate happiness vs seeing everything black... its all a matter of how you look at it and moments like both come with any relationship. (also loved the fact that he took it in stide and gave her a kiss on her forehead, acknowledging they were wise words even from a 15 year old that happens to be his own child).
More after lunch... but LOVED LOVED your FFWD moments, Jard!

Jardinera, gracias. Especially for sparing everyone the detail of the karaoke scene. I have often felt that this thing was invented by sadists who like watching other people make fools of themselves.

Could it be that Hissabela has finally crossed the line? While the video of Ana wasn't pornographic by any legal definition could Hissabela have done something illegal by posting it to Sebastian's FB page? Since we didn't see her create a bogus account to post it from, did she post it from her real one?

Whether that was illegal or not at least the boy is smart enough to know that nobody else would have posted such a thing to his page.

Just in case it's illegal he shouldn't delete it and neither should Ana or Fernando. Of course the latter might totally lose it and do so without thinking that he could get a restraining order against Hissabela. More later.

I was thinking last night that if Fer refuses to watch Ana’s video, then I’m done. Bring back Diego to whisk her away on his motorcycle (and I never cared for Diego). I’m really not getting where Fer is coming from. Then thought this morning what if he does watch her video and decides to talk to her then he sees Angel kissing her and that reinforces to him that she really is a liar because she lied to him about loving him. However, though it’s a slim chance, I do hope, they won’t go the typical soap opera route and have him walk away just before Ana pushes Angel away. If Angel’s action causes the reconciliation between Fer and Ana to be postponed, Ana won’t have to do anything. I’ll reach through the television set and strangle him myself.

Fer has too many boundaries and Angel hasn’t any.

Ana also needs to stop trying for awhile. She's done all she can for the moment.

Nanette

I think, right when Fernando does soften (it's been only a few days and he is wobbly a bit now though not to Ana's face) he already has another man to contend with. I'm sure Ana has plenty of practice deflecting unwanted male attention and don't buy for a minute she cannot hear the creepy scream that is Angel. Shut it down Ana or Fernando will be correct if he makes an assumption that doesn't support your case.

Thanks so much Jardinera for this stellar recap complete with your wonderful little personal comments. Couldn't agree more with most.

It's harder and harder for me to stay interested in watching this TN finish off because I'm finding myself starting to not like the behavior of some of our primary people, aggravated at how they paint the 2nd fiddle people and change up personalities overnight, and the general way Ana is being portrayed.

I never liked Ana's screeching and some of her public behavior but even more I resent that the writers didn't allow her to be able to grow her self worth outside the role she has in the house. I know she loves those kids with all her heart, but she is being treated like a untrustworthy criminal by Fer. Having Bruno spy on her in case friends show up? Honestly...how petty and stupid can you be. Let's see, is she some sort of indentured servant? I wanted to see her stand up to him and tell him what a complete and utter ass he is, the horrid example he is showing his children, and noone, not even hired help should be treated as such. Don't care how much you think you love someone, you deserve respect and he's carrying this whole thing too far. Is he always going to act like this whenever he doesn't get his way? Where's Diego...we need him to come in and knock his big brother's block off.

While Alicia gave her dad sage advice, I still was somewhat freaked out that Fer has these personal discussions with his kids and that they actually come out more clear headed and mature than their stupid father. What a catch.

And the retcon of Leon progresses. Can I say that again, what I would have wanted to hear happened was that Fanny was told if she's so impressed with Leon, then why is she kissing Lenin. She does realize he has serious feelings and she basically is jacking him around at this point? I have no respect for how she is handling those two or how the writers seem to think since we want those two so much together, we don't care how Lenin is being treated.

Please dear no. Pablo is back? And Sebas may be pole dancing? This is getting kind of painful.

Daisynjay

Loved the recap!

I'm with Bryan and thoroughly enjoyed the karaoke scene!

Someone gave the spoiler away yesterday or day before of Pablo coming back. Oh how I have not missed helmet hair hyena!

Agree with Mati that Ana needs to stop begging.

WTF is Angel thinking forcing himself on Ana?! He was shot down so he tries to kiss her? Writers are ruining hottie doc for me!

My question is this: are we supposed to be sympathetic to Angel? A man whose wife betrayed him and has fallen in love with a woman who is in love with someone else? Or are we supposed to think he's a world-class jerk?

Since Soledad was Angel's nanny once, shouldn't Ana get a seriously incestuous vibe about this? I remember a novela where two characters had a godmother in common and it felt incestuous to the female although they didn't share DNA.

And Angel shouldn't be so desperate. I blame Osorio for this because of his absurd dismissal of Pablo Montero, whose character could have been the only serious rival for Fernando. Had Angel been introduced earlier there might have been time to build something here that would have been more credible, but that would also have made the reunion of Ana and Soledad happen sooner.

Come to think of it, that would have been a good idea.

I'm already on record about Ana begging Fernando. She needs to stop and recover her dignity.

If I were writing this I would have her going to college classes while the kids are in school. Have her learn English, French, literature, history, and.... business administration.

Just finished the recap. Thanks so much, Jardinera.

No one in the art department was upset that the newest guy got the promotion?

Good on you, sneaky Jen!!!

Jardinera, if I have not said it before, ITA 1000% with:
"(Sorry, dude, but there are quite a few layers of deception and disappointment’s difference between not knowing your fiancée is a dancer in a club versus taking the life of another human being! Talk. To. The. Hand!)"
DaisynJay: ROFLOL at work at: Don't care how much you think you love someone, you deserve respect and he's carrying this whole thing too far. Is he always going to act like this whenever he doesn't get his way? Where's Diego...we need him to come in and knock his big brother's block off.

Please dear no. Pablo is back? And Sebas may be pole dancing? This is getting kind of painful.
ITA 10000%%!!!
Folks! Please Please give this TN a few more episodes!! I beg you!! The ice is cracking, knees are buckling, we can see that already!
Don’t leave now after enduring the last week of nasty episodes!!
And although Fernando is looking like a very primitive Fred Flintstone right about now yelling WILLLLMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!, remember he just got the blow a few (4 at most) days ago… it has not been much longer than that in novella time… give him more time… he is still nursing his wound.

Nanette, i was thinking the same thing. Perla was so happy to have been able to leave Leon in her spot... but what about the other people there?? is he THAT good right after college?? i know he is a great drawer/illustrator, but graphic design is not the same thing. Wonder what the relationship with is former peers will be, i have been there, done that, it ain't easy.

Nanette, I sort of did a WTH too with Leon's promotion. Totally done to get him looking more successful in Fanny's eyes. But to answer you Marta, these are those announcements that the rest of the staff outwardly cheers along with, and as they meet up in the lunch room later, or start instant messaging/emailing each other later, " Well, that stinks. So much for working your butt off in the company. Snot nose kid...don't tell me it isn't because he's think with the CEO. I'm so updating my resume."

Daisynjayt

Urban: I would love to see Ana got to school now that she isn't dancing. But still...taking care of 8 kids must be exhausting. If she didn't have the baby she could have gone to school while the kids were but I think Fer considers her still on the clock.

Leon's promotion screamed to me "he is ready to support a family now so must be time for he and Fanny to get back together!"

Leon's promotion is clearly to remind us that he is Fanny's future significant other. He had to earn his place at the office for this also because he still needed to prove his worth to Fernando.

Whom he is much like, even down to the dark good looks.

Which I also think is the reason his character's name in Leon. For "lion", the king of the jungle, because no father wants less for his princesa.

While my opinion of abortion is probably the exact opposite of most of yours, I agree that Angel has the greater right to feel betrayed. He was with Magda for much longer, he had to have known she had a brother born with Down Syndrome, and they should have talked about her fear of having a baby with this. They should have seen specialists about it. It should never have come to the point of her secretly having an abortion that he found out about later on.

That backstory is an obvious set-up for him to seek out Ana, who wants desperately to have children.

Carvivlie, you're right. Little DN's presence makes my scenario impossible.

DaisynJay, i KNOW that is what happens.... the 'fake' being happy for him and all up for it and then behind the wall and at lunchroom it is a totally different vibe. Been there for both sides, or maybe all 3 (former boss, new boss, coworkers)

and Yes ITA with all the comments about it. YES they will all relate the choice to the relationship with Fernando and his daughter... YES it was based on things OUTSIDE work, probably. and YES, it totally leads to Fernando feeling more at ease with him as Fanny's choice and the future plans.

As many kids as Fernando has, i have always seen Diego as more 'mature/rounded' about life situations than Fernando... mostly because of his always being a lone traveler and has seen much more of the world and he can put things in perspective with much more background info and better observance of the situation and circumstances than Fernando... (he has seen poverty, he has seen other societies and how people intermingle there, etc)

Also, Leon's deciding to curb his temper is another indication he's Fanny's end game.

UA: Agree. Magda's betrayal is in not discussing the situation with Angel before she made her choice.

Loved your recap, Jard.

I'm so pissed off with Ana begging Don Ferd to "forgive" her every minute she gets near him.
Where's her dignity? I just couldn't do what she's doing. No guy is worth all that. With a guy like that, it would take him a matter of minutes to bring up the issue again in an argument. But I know they'll end up together. Oh, well.

On another note, it was mentioned that Silvia is preggers? I thought she was single. Not that you have to be married these days.

While I'm complaining.... Jennifer got rid of one creep and
is now marrying another. Sheesh!!

Ann-NYC

btw, Jardinera, you could not have come up with a BETTER title for the recap! brilliant!

Ann-NYC, very good point about Fernando's personality and 'values' leading to him pulling this skeleton of Ana's out of the closet in the future unless the forgiving is TRUE and COMPLETE. this is why i keep on insisting his turnaround needs to be a re-evaluation of what the 'offense' was and his reaction to it as he edits his initial impressions... not just putting a 'passed' label on it and shoving it aside.

and yes i noticed Silvia 'showing' a belly last night.

Yeah, Nanette, well that "curbing his temper" being shown with only one instance still makes me head twitch. But then when we have the hero of our tale being shown with a horrible temper as well, and also inflexible, yet we are to cheer for him and the heroine. So no surprise that in just the last few episodes we will get enlightenment and character flaws magically healed and everyone all smiles, living "happy" ever after.

I'm with you Ann, I would be mush around those kids as well, but I just could not endure the attitude of my partner being so hard-headed, unforgiving, not willing to listen to me for days on end ( hello Leon?) and waiting, waiting for THEM to come around and finally allowing me to give my side of an argument or choice.

You know, I actually thought we would have Diego's return by now. Thought I read we were to see him towards the end, didn't think it would only be a couple episodes. What a gyp.

Daisynjay

I miss Diego telling it like it is to Fer. Actually, Nico did well on that score too, if less so. Fer has no one to talk to except Bruno, who at the end of the day is still an employee and can't yell back.

A song from my generation, written by Ottis Redding and made into a top hit by the powerful R&B singer Aretha Franklin, perfectly sums up what Ana should say to Don Pierda and remind herself :

R....E....S....P....E....C....T

Seems as if he wasn't brought up with the advice that many of our parents taught us:

One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself (directive form).

The Golden Rule...good advice to live by.

Victoria, i was thinking more of 'Love is a battlefield' from Pat Benatar LOL!! something with more punch/passion.

I wasn't too crazy about Magda, but seeing how Angel just blows past what other people (Ana) think and feel, I wouldn't put it past him to have HEARD Magda's ambivalence about having kids and not LISTENED to her or her reasons. He's just an, "Oh, what? You don't want that (me)? Okay, so, here's how we'll get together and do exactly that ..." - kind of guy.

I don't like Ana's begging one bit. Do your job, don't talk to your boss any more than is strictly necessary about the kids and get a life. Deal with the children in the same loving and warm way, but move on and go out and enjoy yourself. He'll thaw out eventually and get the message, but hopefully, it will be too late for him. It would serve him right.

And I really can't stand what Jennifer has been transformed into. The feisty, self-confident, sassy woman that the old geezer fell for and abruptly dropped has become a whiny, insecure, "Where are you going, who are you calling, why are you late, etc, etc, etc" mess. Not to mention the totally unnecessary puke-inducing "mi amors" from those two (Jen and Juan) every other second. Ugh!

Sebastian and his pole-dancing fetish? I won't even go there.

You're begging me to go
Then making me stay
Why do you hurt me so bad
It would help me to know
Do I stand in your way
Or am I the best thing you've had

Believe me
Believe me
I can't tell you why
But I'm trapped by your love
And I'm chained to your side

We are young
Heartache to heartache we stand
No promises
No demands
Love is a battlefield

We are strong
No one can tell us we're wrong
Searching our hearts for so long
Both of us knowing
Love is a battlefield

When I'm losing control
Will you turn me away
Or touch me deep inside
And when all this gets old
Will it still feel the same
There's no way this will die
But if we get much closer
I could lose control
And if your heart surrenders
You'll need me to hold

We are young...

Marta

Pat Benatar!!! Yeah !!

I bet that some of us "older" folks could think of a great many songs and lyrics that perfectly describe all Osorio's unlikely pairings in this novela.

I will be so glad when this is over; and I don't have to hear Ana screaming; see how low Jennifer has fallen, two teenagers (at least they act like that) who can't decide who they want to be with (as ifthey should be with anyone at their age); Manuela's dumb act with Bruno who also can't make up his mind; and the worst one of all: dumb, stupid, annoying, irratating asshole Johnny.

Not even Fanny knows what she wants. How is poor Leon supposed to know? Leon should stay as far away as possible from Flakey Fanny! He deserves better.

Victoria, if you remember the video of that song, i can see Ana as Pat's character with Fanny and Alicia behind her as the dancing backups with maybe Jenny and Manuela behind them since they are the best witnesses to Ana's new powerful attitude toward Don Piedra. Edith can do the makeup of them all... lol

we could write a long list of those who seem that they don't know what they want...
starting with Fanny and Nando... continuing with adults currently behaving like kids (Jenny, Bruno, Manuela, et al). At least Diego knows what he wants and that is NOT settling down. lol! he is a freelancer thru and thru.

I don't understand what it is about Edith that makes me like her so much.

I really like and much prefer Edith's spunk in place of Ximena. I will be glad not to have to her calling 19 year old Nando "Baby" any more.

Nando's only 17, which makes it creepier to me.

I like Edith too, I just want to scrub the mierda off of her face. ANNND, it shouldn't be that much of an issue, Nando is a baby, he s/b be checking all avenues of the world, NOT deciding who his true love is.

17 s/b fun time

Variopinta, good point, the same can be said for Alicia.

Nando is a minor and his relationship with Ximena is very disturbing to me. Nando is still a teenager! How is Fernando okay with this?

Ana is getting the best schooling of her life raising those children. She has the most important job in the world as well as the most challenging. I would like to see Ana do what she would like to do rather than decide for her (Going to school). Ana is already an independent woman. If she wants to continue being a dancer, more power to her! No one else should decide what fulfills another woman and what does not. Women deserve the power of choice.

Nando is probably almost 18 by now, but it would be very tiresome if this series had to do all 6 birthdays.

Neither Nando nor Fanny should be picking the loves of their lives just yet, but this series is pushing it in that direction. However, Nando should be concerned about whether his future children would end up with Ximena's issues. Fanny at least has a fighting chance of having healthy children with Leon.

Alicia should absolutely not be deciding that Pablo is the love of her life. There was no reason to bring him back other than the issue of how they met in the first place.

I think they're just bringing Pablo back to be part of a grand final cast reunion.

Great recap and great comments! Haven't even finished them yet but wanted to say, for those who watched LQLVMR remember when Maria set it up for Montse to walk in with Ale in bed with hAnn and Montse saw right through it? Please PLEASE can Fer do the same tonight?

Noticed how Fernando doesn't have any male or female, at work or outside of work? ?
