Que Te Perdone Dios #46: Di's Elastic Tie That Binds
- Fausto's got more lives than Morris the Cat! He survived practiccally without a scratch, Com. Barragan smells something rotten. He does some checking with Meliton who refuses to tell him anything useful. He tries questioning Feisty, but meets another brick wall.
- Diego and his Abue are at logger heads over his wanting to know who his daddy was --and if his mother is still alive (?) Vee tells Diego the secret about the creep who diddled his mama for grins is gone and best forgotten. His identity will go with her to her grave. As for his ma, she hasn't heard from her in years(?) [Had a hard time making out the conversation here, especially since there were no CC's.]
- Mateo tells Diana she's ready to go home--alone. (Hey, Mia's house is empty I hear.) No way he's letting her guilt him over the D.I.V.O.R.C.E. (Too bad about the scars those scissors made. Get a shrink.) He's off to see his lawyer ASAP.
- Macaria visits her later in the day and offers to become her ally in hanging onto Mat cuz Fausto's HER man.
- Padre T tries convincing Renata that Fausto is a changed man. Why, he swore before Christ's image on the altar!! Ren says she's the one who's lived with the guy for 30 years, with all due respect, Padre. He was blowing smoke. They agree to disagree and she'll due some penance in the meantime for disagreeing with Dios's faithful messenger.
- Max learns why Toni told such a tall tale about him and Motor being each other's love toy and tells him to clear things up with his mom cuz he doesn't want that garbage being spread about him, especially in front of Dr. Mat and double especially with Abigail! He's got a thing for her!
- The ex-mayor finds one of his hit men hanging from a tree limb with a warning sign pinned to his chest. "You're next!" in so many words. Later on Lucio only half admits to the deed with Max.
- Max takes Lucio to his megamanse in the D. F. and introduces him to "Ximena" who is really Crazy Twin. CT freeks and makes a panicked call to Xi, who tells her to chill.
- Motor confesses to Efi and Edi's maid (Teo's BFF) that he's in love with Edi? Efi? (Glasses Sis) and needs her help to see her. She agrees and gets the message to her that night before dinner.
- Late that afternoon, Dr. Pat has another visit with Di and tells her one of the studies came back late. It now turns out that she is PREGGERS!!!!! To quote the guard at the gate to the Emerald City as he lets Dorothy and pals enter, "Well, that's a horse of a different color! Come in!! Come in!!"

* We have Fausto's car accident (gracias a Lucio) with Fausto walking away almost scott free--more heartburn for Lucio's enemies;
* Lucio killing the bald headed body guard--again more heartburn (you gotta have loved Marcelino's frightened expression when he saw the guy hanging from the tree);
* Mat telling Diana to go fly a kite (why not off herself and solve all his problems??);
* Whole-in-the head Padre telling Renata he truly believes Fausto had nothing to do with Pablo's death because Fausto swore on the cross with tears in his eyes that he was innocent (like nobody ever lies in Church,, get another career Padre because you aren't cut out for priesthood)
* Mac easedropping at all the opportune times (thought she was going to trip when she was running to listen to Renata, Padre, and Barrigan)
* Max's bank account being frozen (no money to pay the hired assassins)
* and in Jardinera's words, 'that's a horse of another name'
Stay tuned until tomorrow, by then we may need extra strength Tums! !
I was so disappointed that Fausto wasn't more hurt. I guess the devil wears a seatbelt. As for Di's pregnancy, did she and Fausto have sex since she came back, other than the shower nookie the other day? It seems like in all likelihood it's Mateo's child. Darn!
I wanted to slap the naive padre as well as machinatin' Mac for allying with Dee Dee.
Bravo to Mat for telling Di he's not waiting to start the divorce proceedings simply because she threw a hissy fit with the scissors. That is a switch, tho' now he'll have the pregnancy to deal with. Angst....
"(Hey, Mia's house is empty I here)", "(Too bad about the scars those scissors made. Get a shrink)" and "To quote the guard at the gate to the Emerald City as he lets Dorothy and pals enter, "Well, that's a horse of a different color! Come in!! Come in!!" were simply spectacular. I smiled the entire way through.
Victoria, I am SO disappointed in the padre - I will just leave it at that.
I am sort of enjoying the boyz (Tono, Motor and yes, even Max).
It seems as though Lucio has gone from a murderer with tiny pangs of consciousness to a serial killer who is racking up some fairly impressive numbers!
Hated the fact Fausto is none the worse (being in an accident that would have severely maimed most). Vivi, I think you are right in that "the devil wears a seatbelt". grumble, grumble.
Mat will not be able to extricate himself too easily from Diana now, will he?? We sort of figured the marriage derailed too quickly, right?
Thanks Jardinera!
Diana
Anyways i loved the episode and i hated how Faust walked scoof free from the pain and although i loved the Lucio CD(He should have tortured him with Rebecca Black instead) but he revealed himself so shortly and its now painfully obvious that Luc has some damn good allies. And he also seems to love killing right now,not showing a single remorse.
I am very disappointed in the Padre, i dont know why they made him a priest. They should have just kept him as a regular normal human being but is still religious.
But i loved the Mat-Di scene the most, her tears were delicious!
I agree about Padre Tommy. He has the looks but not the brain.
It was surprising that Lucio killed that guy. Marce looked horrified. Lucio sure is cunning. I wonder how he will do in Max's world. Definitely unaccustomed.
Mac and Di accomplices? That won't be good. Just when Di seemed to have no other option she gets some ammo. Now this storyline will drag, lovely.
"It seems as though Lucio has gone from a murderer with tiny pangs of consciousness to a serial killer who is racking up some fairly impressive numbers!" Well said Diana
Yeah Tomas is pretty naive. Fausto must be thrilled to have a new audience! He loves to lay it on thick.
The supposedly sweet twin had no problem acting like a stuck up witch to Lucio. He stood, took his hat off and put out his hand, which she ignored. ANd she doesn't know he's a serial killer. I personally find that to be such a rude gesture, to not take somebody's hand. It's her nephew's dad, in her own home. I guess it's a class thing, but then Lucio should have known not to offer.
Max sure is comfortable ordering around the help. "Bring in the parks, park the car, prepare a room for my dad, and get us something to eat!" Where on earth do you find people in a free society willing to put up with that kind of treatment? I would love to have help like thank, and I wouldn't be stingy with the please and thank yous! "Course money would be required, too...
The Diana/Mac alliance makes sense. Two heartless witches with similar interests, holding on to men who don't want them. I didn't really get why Diana was truly sobbing. She doesn't love Mat. She's seeing her future slip away, but for someone like her, that's usually a call to action, not tears.
Thanks Jardinera!
Frankly I was angry early on last night. Devil Dog has a horrendous
car accident (no breaks)with several rollovers and all that he gets is a little ouchie over his left eye. QUE??? How unreal is that?
WOW! Lucio is on a mission and the crooked ex mayor is next. Can't wait to see what develops.
Baby or not, I'm on my way to Abi.
Ouch! That's gonna hurt. How many enemies will Abi have now? Don't go out walking alone.
Fausto praying/repenting sure has padre Tommy fooled doesn't he. Padre you're to trusting and easily fooled.
