Que Te Perdone Dios: Wed. Mar. 18th Discussion Page

(My schedule changed and I was unable to write a recap or to even see the episodio yet.   Thanks to Diana, TN4ever, Novella Lover,ViviDC and La Paloma for what follows...)

Diana watched with raised eyebrow as Mateo and Abi shared short, sweet kisses, the yearning lovers looking solemn and not at all happy. As Mateo mounted his steed and rode away, Diana angrily confronted Abi and a full blown altercation, down and dirty, ensued. As screaming and hair pulling continued, Benito pulled the two apart. Threats were uttered...

The catfight between Abi and Diana involved a miracle--no wardrobe malfunction with Abi's strapless bustier. She must have been using some super two-sided tape to keep it in place.

Tia Mia came to visit Simona and discussed Tono as Julio's son (?). They gave him to Simona to raise, but now that money is short, Mia needs cash from Simona. Simona says she doesn't have it and Mia insists that the worried mayor find a way.

The twins were at work prepping for the takeover of Xi's life by Dani. Dani had large photo flashcards, but couldn't remember some people. Xi said no food for her tired and hungry sister until Dani was picture perfect.

Lucio, perched in a tree like the bird of prey he is, waits. Soon, Fausto comes in sight and Lucio shoots. Fausto falls off his horse and Lucio strides up looking vengefully and crosses himself.

Mateo soon arrives on the scene and comes to Fausto's aid. Not sure if the bullet is embedded in his head or if it simply grazed his temple. In either case, it appears, pitifully, he is still alive.

It just grazed him and Fausto still lives. Fausto tells everyone he fell off a horse, but Mateo knows the truth, and Fausto tells Marcial the truth. Meanwhile, Lucio thinking he's killed him, comes out of hiding and goes to Marcial's house and subtly threatens him. Marcial does not tell him that he just saw a living Fausto who told him he's sure it was Lucio who shot him and he's alive after all.

Mateo has decided that he cares for a desires Diana, but it's Abi he loves and he wants a divorce. He tells Pat, his mama, Renata, and even Abi at the end. But he still hasn't told Diana. He and Abi make VERY obvious googly eyes at each other over dinner, right in front of Diana!

After shooting Fausto, Lucio went to Macaria's and they said that Lucio had just grazed Fausto, per the plan. Lucio wants Fausto living in fear and sleepless nights. Not sure why. Probably because Lucio still loves Fausto. Later when Lucio threatened Marcelino, Lucio blamed him for making Fausto want to kill him. "You took my friend away!"

Ok, since last week Max was surprised that Xi had a changed attitude about her husband. Since she informed and Max confirmed that he is to inherit 60% and she 40%, I have a suspicion that change in attitude is that she is taking the sweet sister to pose as her to care for her husband. He, like Pat, will be astounded by her sweet loving ways, and happily leave her the full 100% inheritance. Of course the real Xi will plant that seed during her week with him.
Another thing that makes me go hmmmmm? Is that Xi was on verge of saying Max's mother's name. We all know that Max's mom, Luc and Max lived at El Ramada before she left Luc and married wealthy and generous man. Dont know what to think, but she could be Vicentas daughter, someone like that. Any thoughts anyone? I was sickened to see Ren go tell Barraga to stop investigation?? Que le pasa??

Jardinera, Don't worry and thanks for opening it up for comments. I feel bad for not helping out w recaps, but it would probably take me 6 months for one episode. It would not hold candle to all you established talented writers. You guys never disappoint. Each one has their unique way, romantic, research-like, comedic, sarcastic. Never a dull recap. The comments from everyone really make my day and night.

Looking forward to the recap!

Novella lover- The only thing that nixes the idea of Max's mom being Diego's mom is that Diego's mom ran off years before when her was a baby and worked in Bruno's ranch with her mom. While Max's mother was married to Lucio and was a maid in Fausto's neighboring ranch, until she ran off with Max when he was a baby. I think folks would have mentioned long ago that Vicenta's daughter was also Lucio's ex wife.

Jardinera, I think we all understand how hectic our lives and schedules are. No worries!

Count, thank you for your terrific recap of the other night which I just read.

Novella lover, I am only seeing a few minutes of this now and then so thank you for your comments.

The very few things I saw:

Diana watched with raised eyebrow as Mateo and Abi shared short, sweet kisses, the yearning lovers looking solemn and not at all happy. As Mateo mounted his steed and rode away, Diana angrily confronted Abi and a full blown altercation, down and dirty, ensued. As screaming and hair pulling continued, Benito pulled the two apart. Threats were uttered...

That is all I saw.

Diana

Don't know if Xi is trying to get all 100% of the inheritance, but she certainly doesn't want to lose her 60. Which she would if her husband saw what a witch she is if she has to take care of him. Now she gets to go have fun, while Dani cares for and charms her sick husband, and keeps her inheritance safe. Wouldn't it be wonderful if he finds out and leaves it all to Daniela?

Diana- Yep.

Now that Fausto and Lucio have attempted to kill each other, I'm not sure what will happen with them. Will they just call it a draw and go back to being allies?

Mateo has decided that he cares for a desires Diana, but it's Abi he loves and he wants a divorce. He tells Pat, his mama, Renata, and even Abi at the end. But he still hasn't told Diana. He and Abi make VERY obvious googly eyes at each other over dinner, right in front of Diana! They're being pretty shameless about it all.

Vivi, When Lucio went to see Mac, I think he said at first that he had done it, but then later that he said he didn't kill Fausto because he doesn't want more sleepless nights. That he could have, cause he such a good shot but didnt. I got impression he just wants to spook Fausto.

Novella lover- It's really hard to see how this game between Lucio and Fausto will play out. Doesn't it seem that Lucio has played his hand poorly? Fausto now knows he's alive and is even more ticked off at him than before. Lucio had already expressed his worry about Fausto going after Max, which was SUPPOSED to be the reason for him to continue to play dead. Now he's back on Fausto's radar, and he has no job, no money, no power, and no allies. What does he think he's gain by just spooking Fausto?

After shooting Fausto, Lucio went to Macaria's and they said that Lucio had just grazed Fausto, per the plan. Lucio wants Fausto living in fear and sleepless nights. Not sure why. Probably because Lucio still loves Fausto. Later when Lucio threatened Marcelino, Lucio blamed him for making Fausto want to kill him. "You took my friend away!" Lucio, if a guy shoots you after another guy gossips to him about you, it's not a good friendship.

Jardinera, we all know real life problems trump TN recaps. Thanks for the discussion page.

A few things I recall that haven't been mentioned yet:
The catfight between Abi and Diana involved a miracle--no wardrobe malfunction with Abi's strapless bustier. She must have been using some super two-sided tape to keep it in place.
Tia Mia came to visit Simona and discussed Tono as Julio's son (?). They gave him to Simona to raise, but now that money is short, Mia needs cash from Simona. Simona says she doesn't have it and Mia insists that the worried mayor find a way.
The twins were at work prepping for the takeover of Xi's life by Dani. Dani had large photo flashcards, but couldn't remember some people. Xi said no food for her tired and hungry sister until Dani was picture perfect.

doorMat's behavior and declarations of love for Abi disturb me as much as any of the sinister events that have happened in this novela (albeit for different reasons). He just found out he was in love with her? He is such a dunce. Now we will have to endure all kinds of obstacles for his divorce, all because he didn't know he loved Abi, even though it turns out he does.

Important details Paloma!

Adding to my age analysis from yesterday, Helena, Mat's mom, would be early 50's (assume 18-20 at Mat's birth, plus his 30+ years) to Renata's barely 40. I know this was already addressed early on, but it's just not good casting for Renata.

One more detail, Julio said he had looked into exporting the sisters' coffee, and those two are fighting about it. It seems that now that their boy toy situations ended, they are turning their frustrations on each other. Seems sad.

Teodora is salvada (assuming that means not pregnant) as of two episodes ago, and it seems like she told Abi her attacker was Lucio, although I didn't see that conversation on screen.

I know Vivi. Lucio was never considered very bright. Fausto very bad to be enemies with. He loved Fausto for some twisted reason, Fausto broke his heart when he believed the lie against him. I am definitely not on Team Fausto or Team Lucio, when he raped Teo, I turned on him big time.

Yeah, poor Teo thinks she's safe because she believes that Lucio has left town. That's why she felt safe enough to tell Abi who raped her. What is Lucio's plan? Does he really plan to keep hanging around town, jobless, like Fausto's shadow?

Thank you for all the extra information everyone!

This TN is very fast paced and it's clear that I'm missing a lot even if I catch the first 20 minutes or so.

I am also perplexed as to why Lucio thought he should scare rather than kill Fausto. Was getting them at odds Marc's plan all along? I suspect he thought Lucio was dead and gone. Wouldn't be surprised if Lucio set his sights (and better aim) on him.

And yes Vivi, Lucio has no supporters. Macaria? Well, finally something made me laugh today.

And I am so disappointed in Abi and Mateo. I understand Diana's behavior is despicable but Abi and Mateo are not acting appropriately. Get the divorce and proceed from there. Kissing right under his wife's nose is just plain wrong.

So Tono is Julio's son? Very interesting.

Diana

Yes. Tono is Julio's son. Julio and his girlfriend were very young and she died in childbirth. Julio doesn't know that Mia gave his kid away to Simona.

DAMN!!! Devil Dog Fausto is still
alive and there's a hole in his nice black hat. Well off to the hat store in the next episode for a new Stetson.

Vicenta's daughter is Diego's mom.

I think Renata was probably 20 when it all went down.

Then they skipped ahead 18 years, making Renata about 38.

Now they've skipped ahead another 3 years, making Renata about 41.

I think Renata is now meant to be early 30s. Even if she was 18 when the story first started she'd be no younger than 39.

I do think casting somebody nearly 60 years old to play a 40 year old is probably not the best casting, but then again young Renata was 38 years old playing a 18-20 year old.

Simona should blackmail Mia back. Stop this blackmail nonsense or I'll tell the world you gave your grandson away because you didn't want to be bothered. I'm sure "nephew" Julian would be interested in that news.

Anon207- I really hope Simona doesn't pay up. OK. Tono will likely be ticked off that Simona didn't tell him he's her bio child. But Mia is the villain here. All these years she's been this close to her grandchild and clearly didn't give a damn. Plus, Mia clearly doesn't want the town to know this is her son and not her nephew. Clearly she has something to hide and wouldn't want the secret of Tono to come out because it would mean Julio's secret would also come out. Think, Simona, think.

Didn't tell him he's NOT her bio child.

Are Simona and Mia related? If not, why did Mia give Toño to Simona?

Is Motor gay? And in love with Max?

Just the thought that Diego is Abi's uncle is weird. Bruno was a sick man.

Poor Daniela. I am surprised Pat never knew his ex wife had a twin.

TF- I missed the first episode when Simona spoke to Mia, so I can't say for sure. But we have not been given any indication that the two are related. Perhaps Mia just knew Simona had a good heart and would take in a baby.

Motor is NOT gay. He is in love with the spinster sister he's been having a fling with (sorry, haven't bothered to learn their names). In order to keep his relationship with one of the E sisters under wraps, Tono lied to Simona that the person Motor is pining for is Max.

In one of their talks it was revealed that the parents of Xi and Dani died when they were very young and Dani has been locked up from before that or ever since. Meaning, her entire adult life she's been locked up, and Xi has not let it be known to people that she has a sister. That's how Pat (and others) have no idea about Dani.

Ah okay. Thanks for the info, Vivi.

I should've figured Toño was lying. I'm a dope.

I wonder why Xi came up with the idea to have Dani pose as her. She said she loved her daughter but why would she leave her?

A detail to add about the Ximena situation: her husband Porfirio heard her and Max talking about killing him. Remembered the opened green eye?! SO even though sweet crazy Daniela is being groomed to step in, Porfirio isn't going to trust her.

During the two years Ximena bailed on Dr. Pat, she may have come to see her daughter. She would have that option if she was geographically close. I wonder what she was doing in that time?

So far there hasn't been any revelation of the relationship between Simona and Mia. But I think they could be sisters. Doing another age calculation (yeah, I'm getting obsessed!), Mia also has to be early fifties at the least, with that teenaged grandson. Right after Simona was saying she didn't want Tono to know the truth, they cut to a scene of him with Max, saying how much he would hate being lied to about something like that and he wouldn't forgive. Poor Simona. But why not be honest early on? There are so many parents hiding facts about parentage from their kids on this show.

I'm not sure what Lucio's game is. He wants Fausto to hurt for having hurt him, but I bet he maintains the hope that they'll run across a meadow into each other's arms and reconcile at some point. He is so warped. I think his behavior toward Marcelino's wife was an indirect threat to Marc, saying repeatedly how chula she is. The wife didn't seem overly charmed, although she took advantage to criticize Marc for never saying it.

Novella lover, I'm with you, why did Renata want to halt the investigation? Does it have something to do with the planned adoption of Abi? Would the full truth coming out throw a wrench in those plans? Although it would be known who Abi is and no adoption would be necessary. But Abi might be mad at Renata, which is her big fear.

Efigenia is the sister with the bangs who was banging Tono.

Eduviges is the sister with the glasses who was banging Motor.

Ximena sounds like a party girl who can't be bothered with the more mundane facts of life like raising kids, being a wife and keeping the house. So let's trot out Daniela to deal with Pat & the kid while I go party.

I was wondering if the kid was really Daniela's child but I don't think Ximena would be broken up if Daniela's child died.

There's too much all in the family here, it's driving me crazy
Everyone is or seems to be related to each other in some way.

Quite a fight between Abi and Dianocanda. Abi is bigger but the anaconda is scrappy. This was a fight just waiting to happen but what does Abi expect? If she wants or plans to take Mateo for herself, she isn't very discrete about it---a lip lock out in plain sight? Que?

I had to laugh at the dinner setting last night---a table full
of enemies and rivals. It seems amazing that they all can stay civil.

Fausto has slept with or wants to with all the females in that gathering. Helena is the wild card that Ren, Diana and Mac don't know about.

I think Lucio's shot Fartface and did not want to kill him. My understanding of the conversation Lució had with Macaria was that Lució wanted Fartface to never be able to sleep in peace again worrying about when and where the next bullet would come from.

Lucio knew that Fartface would deduce that it was Lució who had shot him since Lució shot at him at the exact place in the woods where Fartface had thought he killed Lucio.

Lució's whole plan was to turn the tables on Fartface and make him the one who couldn't get a good night's sleep since Lució had never been able to since killing Fartface's brother right before the brother and Helena were suppose to get married, of course Lució was a young kid and did everything unconditionally that his Patrón told him to do.
