4/7/15 #163 Hasta el Fin del Mundo – Stork is a no-show and Clemenza pays a call

Irma being Irma – I love it!  Irma screams and swears she didn’t try to commit suicide – unfortunately, Aracely had already opened the door where Renzi’s goon was keeping watch --- and he heard everything as Irma finally let it out that Renzi tried to kill her!  tan-tan-TAN!!

Empresa Ripoll
Dani accuses Ollie of sending out a hit on Lucas.  She thinks he’s just playing cool and just waiting for an opportune moment to pounce.  Ollie tells her he could care less about her suspicions but suggests she remember Lucas has a turbulent past with some shady characters, any of whom would have been happy to provide the beating.  Dani refuses to believe Lucas hangs out with such characters now and Ollie tells her not to be too sure.  Dani is furious and leaves without another word.

Goon Report
Goon calls Renzi – “La Vieja just spilled the beans that you and Manjarrez threw her off that roof to kill  her.” ruh-roh.  Renzi is furious!  His response is very disappointing.  After all this time, his only response is that they’ll need to disappear and starts to empty out the safe!  Really?  Why didn’t he just have her whacked when he had the chance?  He’s had her followed all this time.  Renzi, you’ve let me down.

Courthouse – Irma la Chanteuse
Irma starts singing.  She tells the judge about that fateful day when she went to Renzi Realty at Aracely’s request.  She feigned amnesia because she had been threatened.  Irma continues as the court reporter takes it all down.  She recounts how Renzi caught her going through the safe and was chased by Renzi and his goon until they trapped her up on the roof.  She was afraid to say anything until now because Renzi had threatened the life of her son.

Run, Renzi, Run
Renzi calls his Primazo from the car.  He always had Irma followed to make sure her amnesia was real.  Darn it, she tricked him!  Pato reminds him he’d always been of the opinion that Renzi should just get rid of her, but noooooooo.  Renzi wanted to avoid more problems.  Well, now he’s got them and more, replies Pato.  The authorities now have the goods on Renzi for a murder attempt.  Renzi’s already accepted that their plans have gone to the devil.  Pato agrees Renzi needs to disappear.  Renzi pleads help from his Primazo.  Pato replies he’s already helped him as much as he can.  Now Renzi has to worry about facing the fury of Peralta.  Renzi is under the impression that this was unavoidable.  He plans to meet with Peralta who will help him, surely.  Pato isn’t as optimistic.  He wishes Renzi luck, cuz his life ain’t worth nothing.  He should enjoy his last hours.  Renzi pulls off his headphones in disgust and Pato just laughs, saying Renzi owed him for causing Silvana’s exile.

Silvana’s Hideaway
Silvana speaks with Christian, discussing the misfortune of Javier’s demise.  Now that’s bad luck, no?  She confirms Pato was furious that Chava won the race, but he rebounded when he heard the good news.  Christian has no idea how Pato enjoys any bad luck Chava suffers.  Christian twists the knife, saying he would have thought Pato was still angry at Chava for having stolen his güerita.   Silvana says Pato was only angry because Chava made him look bad in Peralta’s eyes.  She’s convinced Pato loves only her.  Why just last night she hinted at the possibility of giving him a child.  Christian sarcastically says he’s sure Pato was all gaga over the idea.  She responds that Pato is worried that her exile is what causes her to think of those things and continues to worry about the risk he’s taking in coming to see her.  She’s sure that when she gives him the news that she’s preggers, Pato will do the impossible to be by her side.  Christian is worried, “So you’re pregnant?”  She says she only needs a doctor’s confirmation but she’s sure she’s preggers.  She just knows it.  She feels it.  Christian halfheartedly congratulates the future mamá.  Christian is interrupted by Fausto who tells him Queen Grrrrreta is ready for her juice.

Courthouse
Aracely pleads with the judge that Irma’s situation justifies a change to the judge’s ruling on Nandito.  Judge agrees.  Irma repeats that she lied and remained silent for only one reason:  the safety of her son.  Armie seems numb, saying he had no idea Irma sacrificed herself for her son.  Aracely emphasizes this proves that Nandito’s well-being is of utmost importance to Irma.  Irma pleads with the judge not to take away her son.  She’s not crazy (much).  She just wanted to protect her son.  Armie’s attorney begins to argue that the judge already gave her ruling and therefore……..Armie stops him and suggests they allow the judge to decide what’s best for his son.  The judge invalidates her prior judgment based on this new information.  She needs a few hours to deliberate but will have her new decision this same day.    All parties leave the judge’s chamber to await the verdict.  Armie’s attorney recommends they stay nearby until the judge makes her decision but Armie thinks they should go press charges against Renzi and Manjarrez and have them arrested.  Armie’s attorney agrees to keep watch.  He’ll call them with any updates.  Armie is adamant those dudes pay for everything they’ve done.  Everything.

Neighborhood
Miguelina finds Rosa and tells her Lucas is in agreement that Rosa should come live with them.  Whoopee!  Rosa’s happy but Migue warns her this is just a start.  There’s a lot of hard work ahead.  Rosa will move in today!  You woulda thought Migue would’ve started with the news of Lucas’ beating but she finally tells her.  Rosa’s impactada

Empresa Ripoll –
Sofia tries out one of Paco’s recipes, a Jamaica/chocolate combo.  He’s been experimenting with new concoctions like mole negro and a variety of chiles.  It’s wonderful!  She’s excited about his new ideas and the possibility of creating a whole new line.  Paco gets all serious and thanks her for her attitude last night at the wake when she tried to get closer to her sister.  Sofia assures him she will keep trying.  She knows how important this is to him and will do what she can so that his relationship with Aracely will improve.  He knows it will take time.

Dani bursts in for a bit of time filler.  She’s not interested in trying Paco’s delectable new creation. WHAT? There’s always time for chocolate!  Silly girl.  She shares the news about Lucas’ beating and that he didn’t show up for work today.  So she’s leaving to go be with him.  Some unknown assailants left him in bad shape.  Sofia tells her to be careful and to send updates.

Casa Miguelina
Rosa has joined Migue and Lucas.  La Cruz Roja told him his ribs will heal on their own.  Luckily, the other
injuries are minor.  The goons didn’t hit any vital areas.  Miguelina worries they could have killed him, the brutes!  Lucas confirms it wasn’t a robbery.  It felt more like retaliation.  Lucas doesn’t respond but Miguelina is strongly suspicious of Ollie.  Lucas refuses to believe this of Ollie.  He’s not a backstabbing kind of dude.  Lucas doesn’t want the police involved.

Motores Chester
Chava is congratulated by  Don Brito,  Chava was sure this was his chance.  There was no other outcome possible.  He was able to make his jefe proud, may he rest in peace.  Senor Brito offers his condolences then goes on to say he’s not gonna beat around the bush, but then he does.  He knew Chava was a good racer but wasn’t sure he should take the next step with him.  Motores Chester isn’t the biggest company but he is able to support Chava at this point in his career.  He’s ready to support  him 100%, not only with a motor and some parts, but will support him to further his racing team (escudería) to the highest levels.  Chava is beside himself and thanks Mr. Brito profusely.

Doctor’s Office
Silvana is seated across from the doctor, very sure she is preggers.  She’s watched her diet meticulously and has kept an eye on her fertility cycle.  Doctor agrees to run some tests and at Silvana’s request will do a full check up to ensure she’s in the optimal shape for motherhood.  She keeps insisting the results will show she’s preggers.  She’s so optimistic, I know something’s gonna go wrong.

Empresa Ripoll – the wolf roams the halls
Marisol runs to catch up to Patricio.  She tells him she didn’t want to stay home all depressed.  She’d rather stay busy.  He reminds her to let him know if she needs anything.  She brings up the text message.  She’s not sure she understands why he would tell her she’s on his mind.  Well, he didn’t mean to make her uneasy, he just wanted to comfort her after what happened to her dad.  He promises never to do it again if it bothers her.  She admits his message did make her feel better.  He’s glad to hear that.  She tells him she’s gonna go through with the English classes.  He’s noticed she continues to struggle in speaking to him in the form of “tu”.  No matter, she can speak to him any way she chooses.  What’s important here is that she wants to improve herself.  Marisol recalls her father also wished that for her, to get ahead in life.  He reminds her he will pay for her classes but she objects.  She can pay out of what she borrowed through the  company.  Just how much did she borrow?  Dang.  Patricio promises that if she continues to study, he’ll sponsor her to the company so she’ll be recommended for promotion.   Marisol is shocked and he says it’s true.  They shake on it.  The lamb is getting herself in line to the slaughterhouse.

Don Manuel’s Taller
Chava informs Don Manuel of Senor Brito’s offer.  Don Manuel assumes this means Chava won’t be working with him.  Chava explains the deal with Senor Brito is still in the workings so he’ll stay on at Don Manuel if needed.  Don Manuel agrees to keep him on and offers to continue to allow Chava the time off whenever he wants, as usual.  He’s so proud to have a champion working at his shop.

Comandante Tavarez shows up to tell him he’s found the third Renzi Realty associate.  Turns out it was someone who worked in the maintenance department and he signed the papers but was never informed he was a partner, a fraudulent offense.  They can now move against Renzi Realty.

Delegación – Guilt Trips
Armie, Aracely, and Irma arrive, looking for Tavarez.  While Tavarez is being called, Aracely apologizes to Irma for sending her to Renzi Realy and then for treating her so badly with regards to Nandito.  Armie chimes in saying it never occurred to him that her life and that of Nandito’s was on the line.  Here he was mud slinging, saying she had a screw loose (te fallaba un tornillo), and accusing her of faking her injuries.  Irma says it was the only way she could think of to protect herself against Renzi.  She had to put up with his insults and his hatred.  Not to mention her anger at how everyone doubted her and saw her as an evil woman.  But she did it all for her son.  He was the reason she was able to handle it all.  She would do it all a thousand times over to protect her son no matter what anyone thought.  Aracely is very sorry.  She offers to see if they can file charges in another department while Tavares is found.  Armie wants to know how Renzi had been threatening her.  She explains how he showed up at her hospital bed just as she came out of that damned coma.  She didn’t recall what had happened at first.  But as soon as she looked into Renzi’s eyes a flood of memories came, reminding her of what had happened.   She pretended to be asleep so he wouldn’t realize she could hear him.  He didn’t know if Irma knew what he was saying.  “He said that if I ever woke up and accused him, he would kill our son, my baby!  That’s why I faked the amnesia!”  Armando guiltily remembers all the horrible things he said to her.  She tells him she had to convince Renzi she remembered nothing.  She tells him how Renzi came to the house, acting as though it were a friendly call to see how she was getting along when in reality he was checking to see if her memory had returned.  Armando is angry she didn’t tell him.  It was his duty to protect her from that criminal.  Irma was afraid if Armando went up against Renzi and his gang, they may have caused him some harm.  No, she preferred to remain silent and fake her amnesia to protect her son, for her, for her family.  Armando’s impactado.  Well, now, this puts a different spin on things.  Oh hell, will I have to go back to her? decisions, decisions.

Casa de Miguelina- two-fourths of Mystery, Inc. back in business
Dani tells Lucas that Ollie denies all knowledge of Lucas assailants.  Lucas doesn’t think it’s Ollie either even though his abue also suspects him.  He’s known Ollie for a long time and knows he’d never hire a hit-squad.  “Whattya mean hit-squad?” Dani asks.  “Well, with the way they beat me and left me for dead, it’s obvious they wanted me dead,” Lucas explains.  Dani throws her arms around Lucas, not caring for his wounds.  Why, she wouldn’t know what she’d do if he were killed.  He thinks it’s important they find out who hates him so much they would contract a hit-squad.  Obvio.  Dani asks if he’s been up to no good.  Maybe he pissed somebody off without meaning to.  Nanay, he doesn’t think so and it wasn’t a case of mistaken identity cuz one of the goons said his name very clearly.  She thinks he should go to the police but he refuses, saying his past will only cast more suspicions on him.  He doesn’t want to be in Tavares’ sights.  He prefers to do some sleuthing on his own to find out who was behind the hit.  Smoochies.  He tells her he’s made peace with his mums.

Empresa Ripoll
Christian drools over cellphone pics of his princesa.  He assumes she’ll come running to him for consolation when she learns of her novio’s death.  Yes, and he’ll tell her how much he loves her.  Creepy.  At least he didn’t tongue the phone.  EEEEEEEWWWWW

Delegación
Irma continues her tearful tale of woe.  She cries to think what would have happened if any harm had come to her family.  She weeps and leans on Armie who feels so guilty she had to go through this alone.  She really starts sobbing now, “I’ve suffered so much, Armando.  So much. waaaaaaaah.  Hiding my anxiety, fear. waaaaaaaah, crying alone, waaaaaaah.”  “You’re not alone,” says Armando. “I’m gonna protect you from that tipo.  I’ll see that he pays.  He’ll go to jail for life for the attempt on your life.”  Irma tells him she’s very afraid.  What will happen when he finds out she talked?  What will happen?  Armando is taking charge.  He won’t allow him to harm her or his son.  He continues to console her as she continues to sob.

Armando continues to apologize for thinking she wasn’t a good mother.  He’s sorry for how rotten he was to her while she was terrified of that assassin.  Irma takes the high road, “You have no reason to apologize.  I decided to remain silent.  It was my only option to protect you both with my silence.”  Riiiiiiing!  Armando’s phone rings.  It’s Chava calling about the visit from Tavarez saying he’s about to arrest Renzi for fraud.  Chava notices Armando isn’t cheered by the news.  Armando explains that Renzi isn’t just a fraud, he’s also an assassin!  He explains Renzi is the one who threw Irma off that roof.  He further explains he’s with Irma this very moment to file charges against Renzi for attempted murder.  Chava’s on his way, making good on Don Manuel’s offer to take time off whenever he chooses.

On Location
Hospital scene.  Paolo and Alexa go through their scene.  She cries convincingly, apparently channeling her angst over Armando.

Peralta’s Den of Inequity
Renzi pleads his case before El Diablo Geronimo.  He tells him of his failed hit on Irma.  He swears he had to kill her before she talked.  Geronimo observes Irma failed to die.  Renzi can’t understand it.  She fell three stories!  Then she faked amnesia.  Geronimo doesn’t skip a beat saying sarcastically that Renzi of course believed her.  Renzi informs Geronima that he didn’t take any chances and made sure she was watched so he would know right away if she talked.  Once she did, he didn’t waste any time in racing over her to tell him, cuz he’s got Gerry’s back.  He was able to bring all incriminating documents along with him.  They’re right outside in his car.  No worries.  He’s sure Irma’s going to file charges and that’s why he’s gotta disappear.  He asks Geronimo for his help.  I can’t help but laugh at Gerry’s face.  He’s seriously listening but I think I know what his response will be.  He looks at Aldo and ponders, “So, it’s my understanding that your decision to off that woman Irma was taken to avoid unwanted media attention.”  Renzi affirms and says he knows Gerry doesn’t like attention from the media who would have pounced once they smelled blood.  Gerry magnanimously agrees to help Renzi since he’s part of the organization.  He orders Aldo to put his jet at Renzi’s disposal.  Renzi is pleased as punch.  Gerry informs him he can hide at his Cabos place until they can get him out of the country.  He’s only too happy to return Renzi’s loyalty.  Renzi opens his mouth, again.  He confesses he was way nervous about coming here, especially after his Primazo warned him not to.  Gerry acts as though he’s surprised Patricio would have this opinion of him.  As for Renzi, he plans to pay him everything he’s entitled to.  What a nice guy.  Renzi can’t believe this especially since he hadn’t completed his mission.  Gerry tells him to consider it a bonus…..for notifying him.  Well, Renzi thinks Gerry is a straight up great guy.  Aw, tis nothing, says Gerry.  He instructs Renzi to give Aldo all the documentation for destruction – especially the incriminating documentation.  Gerry wishes Renzi a bon voyage.  Renzi will never forget what Gerry’s done to for him and thinks he’s a tipazo!  Gerry feels it’s the least he can do for his patsies people.  Renzi leaves when Aldo returns to say everything’s ready.  Gerry sits back and lights himself a congratulatory cigar.

Doctor’s Office
Silvana paces nervously as Doctor comes into the office. She insists on knowing how far along she is.  ruh-roh  Doc doesn’t respond and asks her to take a seat.  She confirms she had a previous pregnancy.  Doc asks about complication – this doesn’t look good.  Silvana explains about the hemorrhage early in her pregnancy and she suffered a miscarriage.  She says the hospital performed a procedure (sorry, couldn’t get the actual procedure named).  Her spidey-sense finally starts tingling and asks the doc why all the questions.  He’s sorry to inform her she cannot become pregnant.  Silvana is muy, pero muy, impactada  No Puede Ser!

She can’t believe that’s possible.  The hospital told her at the time that she was perfectly healthy, that she’d be able to have children with no problem.  The doctor believes that when they performed that procedure, they caused a perforation in her uterus.  Silvana doesn’t understand.  She’s never suffered any pain, ever.  Doctor explains it started as a small injury that grew over time and caused her to become sterile.  Silvana refuses to accept this.  She must have a child!  Destiny can’t do this to her.  All her hopes and dreams are broken.  It isn’t fair!  Doc recommends a second opinion but he fears the results will be the same.  Silvana is distraught.  waaaaaaaah

Drive to Anvil Shop
Renzi is in the passenger seat with Aldo sitting directly behind him like Clemenza of The Godfather.  He’s busy explaining the metal briefcase contains all the Renzi Realty documentation.  Renzi turns around and hums along merrily as he pulls out his cellphone.  Aldo, meanwhile is setting aside the briefcase, getting ready.  Renzi is busy speaking to Primazo, saying what a great guy Gerry is and how wonderfully he reacted to Renzi’s buffoonery.  Patricio finds this hard to believe.  Believe it, Renzi says.  Why he’s on his way right now to Gerry’s jet which will fly him to Peralta’s exclusive Cabo hideaway AND he’s gonna pay him!  Patricio never believed Gerry would have forgiven Renzi’s stupidity regarding the Irma issue.  Renzi accuses Pato of turning his back when Gerry extended his hand.  Gerry surely appreciates loyalty.  “Well, Primazo del Primor, this is the moment that I’m taking off in a jet. I’ll be in touch.  Behave yourself, badly.”  He snickers as he ends the call.

Delegación
Now in Tavarez’ office, Armando insists this is nothing less than attempted murder.  Renzi and Manjarrez  threw Irma from the roof.  They’re assassins!  Tavarez says he will arrest them based on Irma’s accusations.  Irma’s worried they’ll find her if they find out she’s ratted on them.  Armando tells her not to worry.  Renzi won’t come near her or Nandito.  They’d have to go over his dead body to do so!

Casa de Miguelina
Lucas tells Dani about Rosa’s diary blah, blah, blah, abue’s invited her to move in, blah, blah, blah.  He’s still complaining about his injuries but is sure he’ll be just fine by tomorrow.

Oficina de Ollie
Ollie complains to his dad that Dani thought he was capable of putting a hit out on Lucas.  Geronimo says that stupid girl hasn’t considered he raised Ollie with the same principals he himself lives by.  She doesn’t realize Ollie is incapable of hurting anyone.  Geronimo is sure Lucas has continued in his evil ways and someone got even.  Geronimo tells him to stay firm and find a way to come out looking like a Mafioso (sorry, I’m sure I lost something in the translation here.)   Ollie says that if he’d wanted Lucas’ face used as a punching bag, he would’ve done it himself.  Gerry tells him to control himself.  He shouldn’t show any emotion and just ignore the accusations.  He’s sure Dani will soon realize her biggest mistake was ending her relationship with Ollie.

Delegación
Now Chava joins the group and Irma tells him how she realizes maybe she should have told about Renzi’s threats before but she was so afraid.  Chava also apologizes for having thought such evil thoughts about Irma. He never realized the hell she was going through alone.  She says his apology isn’t necessary.  How was he to know?  In his eyes she was just a manipulating blackmailer trying to hang on to Armando.  Armando informs Chava they’ve filed charges against Renzi.  Well, big, bad ol’ Chava doesn’t plan on going anywhere until they drag Renzi in.

Silvana’s hideway
She calls Christian with the bad news.  She doesn’t tell him but tells him through her tears that she needs to see him ASAP.  She feels likes she’s going bonkers.

Casa Ripoll
Christian gives Fausto the story there was a gas leak at his apartment as his excuse to leave.  Fausto tells him to take his time and reminds him the invitation is still open for Iker to come live in the employee wing of Casa Ripoll.

Delegación
Somehow, Chava feels there is no doubt that Patricio helped Renzi harm Irma.  Sofia asks the obvious question, “Did Irma say that?”  No, says Chava, but those primos are one and the same.  He thinks it stands to reason that Patricio knows Renzi Realty is a criminal activity and that Renzi is capable of anything.  Tavarez arrives just then and Sofia implores Chava to just let the cops do their jobs, for goodness sake.  Behind every hothead piloto stands a level headed qüerita.  Chava insists he’s right.  Sofia is worried.  She never thought Patricio’s cousin was a criminal.   He warns her not to mention anything to Patricio.  He’ll call her later with an update.

Meanwhile, Tavarez assures Irma he’s assigning a security detail for her protection.  She shouldn’t worry about reprisals.  This makes Armie happy.  Tavarez has signed a warrant for Renzi’s arrest.  Chava, of course, wants to go for a ride along but Tavarez declines.  Chava insists and Armie wants one chance at Renzi to rip his face off.  Tavarez firmly denies their requests – finally, a cop with a sense of propriety.

Aracely announces she’s heard from the attorney that the judge’s decision is ready and they’re wanted at the courthouse.  Armie asks Chava to keep an eye on what happens with the arrest. “As if you didn’t know better,” says Chava.  They exchange knowing glances.

Casa de Miguelina.
Rosa has moved in with the help of Cuco.  Lucas welcomes Rosa……blah, blah, blah.

Oficina de Ollie
Dani comes in to deliver a report.  Her attitude is cold as ice and his is a study in indifference.  He speaks up and says he is truly offended she would think he would seek vengeance against her novio.  “After all the time we dated you should have come to know the type of person I am,” he says.  Actually she wouldn’t know.  She thought he was a great, sweet guy.  “In the end, that doesn’t mean anything,” he says.  “You decided to go back to Lucas and I respected that.  Doesn’t that speak to the good person I am?”  “Sipi,” she responds.  ugh.  “Dani, I moved on because I realized you weren’t essential (imprescindible) in my life and I’ve stopped giving our relationship so much importance.   Therefore, it wouldn never occur to me to send someone to beat Lucas.  But you can think what you want, it doesn’t matter to me anymore.  One more thing:  Once you’ve recovered your objectivity, you’ll realize that Lucas is still involved with questionable doings (cosas turbias=cloudy).”  He wishes her luck and thanks her for the report.  She leaves in a huff.

Renzi Realty
Tavarez arrives with a search warrant and an arrest warrant.  He demands to know where Renzi is.  All the employees deny knowledge.  Tavarez instructs his officers not to let any in or out without his authorizations.  Too late.  Our friendly neighborhood buttinsky, Chava, has just strolled in.  He explains he must see them capture the tipo but it seems the bird has flown the coop.

Hey, this isn’t the way to the airport…..Is that an anvil up ahead?
Renzi assumes they’re taking this route to avoid the cops.  No one says a word but he keeps yakking away, saying he was so worried Peralta wouldn’t forgive him.  “He’s known for not forgiving mistakes.  But he acted with the utmost respect with me.  Like a big man.  Surely it was because he liked me, no?”  Aldo finally speaks, “That’s how he is, although he appears otherwise.”  Renzi’s appeased and envisions sunning himself in the beautiful beaches of Cabo with some beautiful güeras at his side.  His jet will land on a private runway, with a CocoLoco in hand.  I called it!  Aldo reaches over with a garrote in hand.  Renzi’s Anvil comes in slo-mo.  Well done, Geronimo, well done.

Comments:
I have to say the Renzi storyline had me chuckling all the way through tonight's episode. What a moron! I really liked how they kept me on the edge of my seat. Even though I knew this would happen, the suspense was fantastic. Loved it.

Now, regarding Irma. Has Alexa thrown in the towel? Irma didn't give anything away tonight. I can imagine shed be genuinely distraught with her son's, and Armando's life on the line. I can't help wondering if she might be throwing on an extra dash of drama to guilt Armando into coming back. hmmmm? I know she doesn't have many fans in Vieweville but is it possible there is still a chance for Armando and Irma?

Kirby Johnson, thanks for clarifying the info that it is Loopy 2.0.

Ann-NYC

Paquita, I thank you so much for the very entertaining recap. I so enjoyed your anvil graphic and anvil references especially ". . . Is that an anvil up ahead?"

Renzi really was not too smart. He actually made up an excuse for the "alternate route" to the airport. His garroting came as a surprise? Well he thought Peralta was a "tipazo"? Too funny.

I could not stand how thick Irma was laying it on tonight. Her almost murder does nit exonerate her from being a bully and using her son as leverage to try to get what she wants. With this katest revelation, she will have everyone's pity for a while. I hope Armando does not go back with her but I do not want to see him with crazy Alexa either.

So, Patricio did not just rob Silvana of one baby with his poisoning of her, but of ALL of her possible children due to the damage that was caused. I really hope that she finds out and that this particular aspect of Patricio's despicable behavior gets a special kind if anvil.

Interesting that Patricio had the solution for Marisol not wating him to pay for her classes: he will just arrange a promotion for her! She really looks uncertain fealing with Patricio. How long will it take before he starts romancing her?

"Dealing" with Patricio

Paquita, this is great!

I too loved the suspense and how they played with us and Renzi blathering away.

Sure, Irma will use this to rope Armando back in (she clearly feigned her paralysis to keep him around, took a bottle of pills and beat her own self up), he's an even bigger idiot if he does return but I've always liked Irma and she is smart and resourceful, though conniving. What is horrible, Irma was thrown off a building three floors, her sons life (and hers) threatened and at the same time had Alexa hovering outside her door, enticing both Nandito (with a pig) and Armando. Even the bully boy Chava tricked her to get Nandito out of the house. While death was not the intended outcome as it was with Renzi, Armando, Alexa and Salvador relentlessly pounded away at a woman secretly dealing with the attempted murder and removal of her son. I believe Armando is sorry, Chava could care less for he's never wrong, and Alexa is fluttering off to the next flower but they all deserve an anvil!

Wow! There was no love lost between Pato and Renzi. Seems that Patprick knew for sure that Peralta would kill Renzi and just chuckled about it. He said something to the effect of it being payback for Renzi's interference in Patprick's marriage.

I was soooo hoping Tavares had found a link to Peralta in his investigation. Patprick has to be as nervous as a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs, but Peralta is the one behind all this and I want him caught. Will Patprick confess to save his own ass? The evil house of cards has seen a little gust of wind, but Peralta has his tracks covered pretty well. The undramatic end of Renzi was a let down as I wanted his sleazy behind to suffer a bit.
kirbo

Nailed it! I knew Renzi was going to get whacked the second he blurted out he failed to kill Irma.

Bold prediction: Irma keeps Nandito, you've heard it here first!

Armando might as well give up on Alexa at this point! She's moved on!

My question is will Sil go after Pato when she finds out what he did to her? Will Pato actually fall in love with Marisol?

Don't want the hunk with Alexa or Irma, I hope they bring in someone new. Alexa and Irma have the same characteristics me, me, me.

Thanks for the review Paq.

This show is getting good with the drama.

I'm also shocked, kirby, that Pato was so unmoved by the possibility of his cousin getting killed. I know he was upset that Renzi told Peralta about the wedding but even he couldn't want his cousin to die.

I also wonder if Sofia will keep trying to win over Arecily once Arecily drops the pregnancy bomb on her and Chava.

We could all see Renzi's death coming a mile away, but i'm still amazed at his stupidity. As someone from the streets, he should've known what was coming. He had the upper hand against Peralta, with the evidence, and chose instead to take the stupid route. Once Peralta asked him if ALL the documents implicating him were in the car, Renzi should've known his time was up. I also like how they kept the tension up with his demise and I like how they did it.

About the hitmen who jumped Lucas, i guess they never heard of a gun.

I think Pato's future anvil will come from Silvana once she finds out he caused her abortion and sterility.

The judges decision is obvious, she reverse it and give Irma her son and Armando will have no problem with it. I'm surprise he still wants to go through with it after what irma said.

Paquita, terrific title and sensational recap.

"Courthouse – Irma la Chanteuse" and "Dani bursts in for a bit of time filler" were among my favorites.

This was one of the most action filled and interesting episodes to date.

You posed some interesting questions in your first comment. I saw nary a snicker or eyebrow raise during Irma's admission. She seemed genuinely distraught. While I loathe what she did in terms of lying about her paralysis and the other things tofie mentioned, I did feel genuinely sorry for her. I don't think that loving your child is enough though. You have to be honest and here Irma fails miserably. I don't doubt she wanted to protect Nandito but she has been evil and does not deserve custody.

Let me also say Armando hasn't exactly been virtuous here either. He should have ended the relationship with Alexa long ago.

Renzi was a fool to think he would escape alive.

I had no sympathy for Sil. She initiated the horrendous poisoning of Greta through her vulnerable brother who is mentally ill and needs hospitalization and care. Desperately. That said, I do hope she finds out that Pato was to blame for everything that happened during her first pregnancy.

Is there enough time to thaw Marisol's perception of Pato out sufficiently to ever consider a romance? I think and hope not.

Bryan, Pato knew Renzi would be killed and he could care less. That said, Renzi telling Perlata Pato was going to marry Sil and the subsequent horror show that followed at the beach was terrible. I can't really blame Pato too much. In this particular instance.

Diana

I wonder if Renzi has the same access to the regenerative elixir Salvador, Armando & Lucas? Oh, my bad, there are only 3 princesses Ripoll and he never slept with them. RIP

Had me a good chuckle when Paco is all, taste this, trying to impress his favorite daughter so she will pet him occasionally.

Diana, I so agree that Irma has been evil. I was so hoping Alexa would have "returned" the spilled coffee "accident" at the wake. Nobody ever "pays her back" in kind in her bullying which just empowers her more and more. She just hides behind Nandito. In this case she was counting on getting away with harassing Alexa because Alexa would not cause a scene at a wake.

Jarifa

Jarifa: i am curious how Silv will ever find out about Patprick and her baby/sterility.

Bryan, I've been on here predicting that Irma will get Nandito.

It's looking more likely she's going to get what she wants.

Second, Araceli dropping the preggers bomb on Chava will result in Sophia HATING him!

Kirby, I don't blame Patrick for saying "Non-Grata" to Renzi because if I were him, I would've done the same thing to my cousin too.

Patrick's trying to get back in Peralta's good graces.

However, where is Isadora & does she know her drinking buddy, Javier is deceased ?

Thanks, Paquita. Terrific recap. My favorites:

Queen Grrrrreta is ready for her juice

Chava’s on his way, making good on Don Manuel’s offer to take time off whenever he chooses

I use to enjoy Pato and Renzi’s evil duo. I thought they cared about each other in a selfish, me-first kind of way, but, ugh, Pato is okay with Renzi’s murder. Pato, yeah, Renzi broke up your wedding, but this is murder.

Knowing Sil, she’ll try to rent a womb to have Pato’s baby. I have no sympathy for her either. She’s just too mean, doesn’t give a damn about anybody but herself and Pato. She’s no help to sickie Christian at all.

I have sympathy for Marisol. She’s young and insecure and doesn’t have a chance against Pato. But the good thing about this storyline is how (I hope) Chava will blow a fuse when he finds out.

Terrific recap Paquita! I was a bit surprised by Renzi's demise only in the way it happened. I figured they would actually let the idiot get on the plane and take off, then toss him out the door at 20,000 feet.

At this point I cannot stand Chava anymore. He has to insert himself everywhere. It's just annoying to no end.

Yep, Irma is playing this attempted murder reveal for all it's worth. Armando has popped up like a gopher and the owl is about to strike.

Steve, they seem to have dropped the Isadora story line. She went into rehab and hasn't come out. I doubt she knows about Javier.

Right now the big questions for me is: Will Cris melt down when he finds out Lucas is still around? Will he expose his and Silvana's plan for revenge?

I agree with you Niecie, I understand he was upset with Renzi for telling Peralta about the wedding, but he can't be ok with his cousin being killed. I need to wait until he finds out his cousin is dead to be sure because even though Pato tried to beat him up, i also thought they somewhat cared about each other.

I can't see Marisol going against Chava because of Pato. I know that's his plan but she adores her brother.

I did enjoy seeing Paco and Sofia interact but now it's just getting nauseating. I agree with Tofie's petting analogy. Doesn't really seem to father-daughter like right now.

Also, I may be in the minority but I want Greta and Paco to re-unite. I think that photo of them together when they were young, that they show in the credits, is a good picture of them. I wonder if they both have a copy of that picture or just Paco?

Great Paquita. Thanks so much.

A lot happened but there still is a lot to go.

Diana 9am A great comment.

Jarifa---Yes I too thought that Alexa would return the spilled coffee but it was a wake, Alexa chose to take the high ground.

What is Peralta's next move? I'm staying tuned.
the gringo

Gringo, the problem is that everyone decides to take the high road and there is always an extenuating circumstance. I cannot wait for bully Irma to get a good comeuppance.

Jarifa

Jarifa 6:31 above: Re Irkme: I know she had her reasons in her feeble twisted mind, but I still want her anvil to fall. It is one thing to pretend amnesia, but another to fake another romantic rival beating you up. I just think the witch is evil.

Tonight starts soon. I hope we do have more action rather than falling back into filler eps. This tn is fun while the anvils are falling. Silv needs ....someforkinghow....to discover who sterilized her. She thinks she hates Grrrreta....just wait till she figures out it was Mr. Studwonderful. I would rather be dead Renzi than Patprick when Silv goes after him. Hee haa whoo.

Oh poopy, a seizure affidavit from the bank? "Houston, we have a problem."
