All descriptors of the notes are added by the editor (Sara.) I can't thank Jarifa enough! What a wonderful job she's done for us!

Jarifa's notes- Capítulo 13

Part 1
At the Velasco offices Santiago fills in Esteban about the situation with Isabel. Esteban says he will find a way to regain control. Esteban doubts that since all of the money has been spent on wages, the collateral for the new company, and the 2 million pesos he gave to Estefany. Santiago sees the latter as an investment to gain the trust of Estefany. Santiago figues that with the rest of the money he will rob from Facundo as well as the money he will get from Estefany, he'll be set for life.

In the kitchen, María and grandma Perpétua are discussing the dirty air of the city. The conversation moves on to grandma trying to talk María into workingwith Isabel she on the business opportunity Isabel is offering her. She sees it as a chance for María to do something for herself. María is confused. Grandpappy Porfirio is hungry and stops by and gets 2 hardboiled eggs. (He never misses a chance.)

Beto and Fausto are sitting outside having a few beers at a bar when Fausto encourages Beto to introduce himself to two cute girls at a nearby table. He introduces himself and brings them back to the table to socialize with him and Facundo. Isabel and Rocío are seated nearby and watching.

Back at the office, Esteban tells Santiago that he will not get the rest of Facundo's money nor will he get any money from Estefany. As a matter of fact Facundo is asking for his loan back. Santiago is on the verge of losing everything even his marriage. What Santiago needs to do is reach an agreement with Facundo or he could end up in jail.

Isabel sits looking at Facundo thinking how easy it would be to steal Facundo from María and how that multi-millionaire just has to be hers. Rocío suddenly gets up and goes over to Facundo's table and starts making a scene accusing Beto of cheating on her.He says he only came for company with his dad. She disagrees and slaps him. Isabel comes over and looking at the girls says she never would have expected this of Facundo and tells the girls Facundo is married. The girls leave thinking Rocío and Isabel are Beto's and Facundo's wives.

Part 2
Still Jarifa's notes
Facundo and Beto return home trying to hide their drunken faces behind their hats when María greets them and is not pleased. It is just about dinner time. Facundo and Beto talk about the girls and how nice they were. Facundo says he knows why Beto didn't do more to get to know them: it is because Rocío was there. Beto counters with having noticed him him looking at Isabel. Facundo is not happy.

Dinner time and María announces she has news. They all think she is pregnant. As soon as Granny Perpétua says it has to do with Isabel, Facudno blurts "I didn't do anything." The news is the fashion show. Facundo says Isabel is a good woman. María gives him a weird look. Facundo says he still has ro talk to Santiago because nobody nowhere cheats a Carmona.

Facundo goes to Santiago's office and asks Santiago for,an explanation. Santiago says he made a mistake because of the desperate state of his company. He apologizes and says he will get credit and start paying Facundo back ASAP. Facundo tells him to pay him back when he has the money. He goes on to talk about friendship and how friends don't do what he did to friends nor pull their wives into their schemes. At least Isabel is a full grown woman and Rocío told them the truth. From now on they are neighbors but not friends.

Rocío discusses with Beto her reaction to his new friends and apologizes because there is nothing between them. She is not giving up Diego because she wants a real man not a little boy who has to ask for permission from his mommy. Beto goes to kiss her and Susana pops up asking for her horse ride. Rocío invites him to her birthday party on Saturday and leaves. Susana warns Beto that if she sees him with Rocío again she will rat him out to mom.

Carmen arrives at the university parking lot in her car and sees Francis and her friends getting out of Francis's little red car. She is on her way in when she notices Francis's license plate that says "FRANCIS". She loses it and goes beserk getting in her car and ramming Francis's car. Francis and friends come out and confront her. Security cameras, cell phones, tablets record the confrontation. She covers her face and leaves.

At home, Carmen lies about what she did to Francis's car saying it was an accident. Her parents get the real story when Felipe and Francis arrives at the door where Francis tells them she did it on purpose. Security cameras at the university recorded it. Facundo says to just let him know how much the damage will cost to repair and he will pay for it. Francis says it is not all about the money it is about the "social network". Neither Facundo nor Carmen understand that.

Part 3 of Jarifa's super awesome notes

Estefany and Santiago are out at a romantic dinner. She has a surprise for him: some nice little "blue pills" to go with his coffee. He looks for excuses to not take those pills: they are dangerous without a prescription; he is just under so much pressure with his situation right now she just needs to be patient and wait. Those excuses don't do anything for her and she tells him he is confused. She'll be waiting but in Africa because her business is just about done in Mexico and there is nothing to keep her.

The next morning at the office, Santiago is telling Esteban that Estefany is leaving for Africa and he is going to lose his opportunity with her. Esteban says the only things he is going to lose is his company and his marriage. Santiago says he has already lost his marriage. Isabel is either asleep or acts like she is dead and nobody told her. Estefany on the other hand is crazy. He didn't go to bed until five a.m.! (must have taken the pills!!) Esteban reminds him that her "craziness" was the reason he didn't marry her. Santiago says he married Isabel because he really loved her but he wants to do something for Estefany so she knows she is important to him and will want to stay. He will buy her an apartment, a love nest!

María confronts Carmen about telling the truth. Facundo says they cannot help her if she isn't honest. Carmen comes clean and admits she did it because Francis has been bothering her so much. That does not fly with María because María knows Carmen has had her eye on Felipe Francis's boyfriend. The Carmonas are not criminals. Carmen is to stay away from Felipe not even be close to his shadow. When María starts to talk about men who are spoken for/taken, Facundo slouches and covers his face.

Francis and Isabel are talking. Isabel tells Francis to,be careful Felipe isn't around Carmen because she could get to him with her "mosca muerta" (dead fly) face. Felipe comes in with water and pills for Francis. She knows the iniversity cameras will have the incident recorded. Isabel tells Felipe to cut off his friendship with Felipe. Isabel and Francis tell Felipe that Carmen is toxic.

Another kitchen conversation between granny Perpetúa and María where María is telling her mother that she could not believe what Carmen did to that girl's car. Granny says that she did not get that from their side of the family. She got it from her other grandmother, Facundo's mother (deceased) Claribel. She was like a "cabra loca." (Crazy goat). Facundo comes in and asks if María has made up her mind about Isabel's business offer. He says it is okay by him as long as her household chores don't suffer. Granny says she will help out.

Isabel and Federico, the fashion designer, arrive at the Carnona's. Federico thinks that granny's "molinillos" (hot chocolate beaters) are some sort of exotic artifacts. The long and the short of it, he is in with María's shawls and puts in an order for five originals. They are going to create a new fashion line "México Chic". María thinks to herself she just wants to be close to Isabel to see what secret she is keeping; nothing good she is sure.

Part 4 of Jarifa's amazing notes

Since Carmen is without her car, Beto takes her to the university. He'll take her to her diving test when she is ready. Felipe confronts Carmen about what she did. He saw the security tapes. She tells him she didn't know what came over her, what she was doing. He says he likes her (gives her hope) but is in love with Francis. They can be friends only. Carmen agrees but thinks she is not going to give up.

Back at the office, Santiago is looking at 10 million peso apartments for Estefany. He wants her to feel important, linked to him. Esteban wants to know what is so important about her staying. Santiago says that it is an investment. He is sure that Estefany's millions will come to him and he will get his investment back with dividends.

Outside the Carmona's, Alejandra is taking pictures of cute little Margarito and Susana. Conchita the maid comes over to get her and runs into grandpappy Porfirio who putsmthe moves on her. As only grandpappy Porfirio can. She calls him a fresh, dirty old man and leaves with Alejandra. At the Velasco's, she complains about Porfirio and wants Santiago to do something but her requests fall on deaf ears. Santiago and Isabel start fighting again and Alejandra tells them that their separation would be better than them fighting all the time. She, Felipe and Rocío leave the room.

María and granny Perpétua follow a messy trail to the
bathroom where granpappy Porfirio (with his hat still on )is taking a bubble bath inspired by and talking about Conchita the mango of the "cuerpo de uva" (grape shaped body). (Very funny and no eggs!)

Santiago and Isabel are now in the bedroom still discussing and argung. She tells him about María and Federico and the new fashion line. Santiago does not see how that will help. She tells him that if Facundo's wife goes into business with her, her boutique will be profitable and then their divorce can be a reality. Isabel thinks to herself, going into business with María is just the first set in getting Facundo all for herself. Santiago says that she won't make any money from the boutique; that she won't make enough to buy a "pan dulce". She tells him she is sick of all of his bankruptcy talk. Santiago thinks to himself "If you only knew, I am not bankrupt at all." By the way, Isabel punches him in the stomach as she leaves the room.

Comments:
Jarifa graciously and generously volunteered to give us "notes" for the episode. Looks like a great recap to me! I've posted the first part and will post the rest in the morning.

THANK YOU SO MUCH, JARIFA!!

I know. I said I was going to bed.

I'm not pleased with what I'm reading. Susana threatens to rat out her brother? Carmen purposely causes damage???

Not cool children. Not becoming of a Carmona AT ALL.

All done!! Thank you again!

Now that I've actually watched the episode...

I do not like what Carmen is doing. She's no better than Francis right now.

Some favorite moments:

Beto and Rocio having to share their scene with a crowing rooster. Their chemistry still shone through. I like them together.

Porfirio in the bubble bath.

Big Ed in that red shirt. And so help me he makes even that chunky gold necklace look sexy.

Margarito's near bath. Any scene with that little pig is going to make me happy.

I know lots of things went through my mind while I watched, but I've forgotten them now....

Jarifa, what a fantastic recap you did! I smiled the entire way through - what excellent details. You and Sara make a great team.

"Grandpappy Porfirio is hungry and stops by and gets 2 hardboiled eggs. (He never misses a chance.)" and "cabra loca." (Crazy goat)were my favorites. Love vocabulary.

Our much admired children were behaving badly weren't they? I was shocked to read (because of course I didn't understand the conversation) that Susana threatened to tell on Beto. Why Susana, why? That is completely out of character.

And speaking of the same, where did our sweet Carmen go? Loved her feistiness but destruction of property is another matter. Also, now that Felipe has told her they are only friends, she needs to back off. What gets a man's attention more than anything else? Absence or the threat of it. Once she stops seeking him out, he will follow...She should take some pages from Estefany's handbook.

I so smiled at the hat hiding of Facundo and Beto. Love the father son moments but don't want to leave our Porfirio.

Margarito seemed in the mood to squeal. The poor darling likely had too long a day. Time for sleep.

Thank you so very much!

Diana

Sara, our comments crossed.

"And so help me he makes even that chunky gold necklace look sexy".

Amen sister. Amen. :)

Diana

I know right? Normally a big gold necklace on a man makes me go "ew." On Ed it makes me go "ah."

And I'm going to cut Susana some slack. Once I saw the scene it felt more like a younger sibling trying to follow the rules. It didn't feel that malicious.

Thank so much, Jarifa (and Sara)! I missed the episode, darn it!

Can't believe Carmen lost her mind like that and crashed into Fran's car. Definitely time for her to take some deep breathes and a few steps back from Feli.

Glad to see that this fashion show appears to be legit. Looking forward to Maria's success as a designer.

All I did was copy and paste. Jarifa deserves all the thanks. (Seriously, Jarifa... You are a great recapper.)

And it wasn't just Carmen ramming the car. It was the thought bubble near the end that was bothersome. She doesn't seem to care that Feli is taken.

It's also a relief to see that the fashion show was legit. Facundo's attitude about it was a little annoying though. "As long as you keep up with the household." Puh-leeze. Perpetua is pretty modern though. I like her encouraging Maria to have something of her own and to think big.

Sara, I sure agree with you about that big gold necklace with the medal and also with Susana's " I am going to tell on you."

Diana, yes!!!Margarito was in the mood to squeal. I wonder if they will keep the same Margarito for the whole novela. I wonder if he is a miniature pig or is just a baby pig who is going to grow. I am hoping he is a miniature.

I loved this episode because the motivations behind the actions and true nature of many of the characters were revealed.

Carmen is turning out to be quite a handful. Who knew she had a crazy grandma on her dad's side? I have to say that it was so enjoyable watching her go "medieval" on Francis. It was probably the only time Francis had ever been served better than what she is used to dishing out herself.

Then there is Facundo who may be falling off his pedestal sooner rather than later. Facundo's increasing unease with any mention of Isabel and that Beto noticed him looking at Isabel sure does not bode well. His covering his face when María is lecturing Carmen on "taken men" made him look so guilty of maybe nothing else than impure thoughts, but guilty nonetheless. He better watch it because María especially with granny Perpétua behind her is no fool.

How long will we have to wait to see Estefany's partner in her scam of Santiago? Probably too long. I loved that she took the initiative to bring him the "blue pills." Too funny.

Then there is Santiago with his unbridled optimism and libido. In spite of his unethical/illegal/inherently stupid machinations, I cannot help but like him. He makes me laugh, too.

Should be interesting as we move along.

Jarifa

Jarifa

Vivi and Sara, I'm happy for Maria.

Facundo is a wee bit of a chauvinist, isn't he? Although a rip roaring handsome one, no?

I smile as I write this because I think she really rules the roost and suspect (and hope) she will ignore his stoopid remarks. As I do :)

Diana

Jarifa, I applaud your "Then there is Santiago with his unbridled optimism and libido. In spite of his unethical/illegal/inherently stupid machinations, I cannot help but like him. He makes me laugh, too".

He makes me laugh as well! I like the actor very much so that is part of my rationale.

He is selfish and conniving but I believes he loves his kids. And Isabel too. He is like a kid in a candy store, seeing and wanting it all.

Diana

Diana and Jarifa, ITA completely about Santi being a big surprise (positive one! never thought Ernesto had that much 'human comedy' in him!) esp when he confessed to Esteban he truly loved Isabel but Estefani was the 'fun' part of his life I really really believed him. Also his caring for the children/niece,nephew. It is moving. regardless of how conniving and selfish he sounds to be.

I am with you all, Carmen is pulling cards out of Francis book, even going beyond that (she flat out lied to her parents and to Feli about how it happened... now she realizes her move backfired not only with Felipe but also with her parents... no more car for her please! i want that green VW bug for my daughter.

Marta, yes, please commandeer the VW for your daughter. Carmen SO does not deserve it.

I hold VWs with great affection. Many, many years ago, my mother had a "bug" with a "well" in the back and we kids would crawl in and have a blast.

My first car was a VW beetle and though the speedometer didn't work and it didn't survive all that long, was great fun.

Diana

I drive a Beetle and love it. The green was the color I wanted, but alas one wasn't available when I bought many years ago.

Marta-Your daughter totally deserves that VW Beetle. NOT Carmen.

"...never thought Ernesto had that much 'human comedy' in him..."

Neither did I! I only saw a little of him in Corona de Lagrimas and he was such a bastard. Here he is hilarious. His voice cracks me up!

Thank you Jarifa!!
my fav moments were:
Dinner time and María announces she has news. They all think she is pregnant. As soon as Granny Perpétua says it has to do with Isabel, Facudno blurts "I didn't do anything."

and Porfirio in the bathtub with hat on... too funny!!

btw, 'mosca muerta' in the context Isabel used it means innocent/harmless
(Isabel is saying that Carmen is playing the innocent vulnerable princess who intends to win in the enf the prize [Felipe] right from under Francis' nose)

as idiotic as it sounded i liked the Rocio/Beto scene... her 'dare' totally resulted in what she wanted. even if Susana came over to cut the instant reward short.

Marta or anyone--Why did "mosca muerta" come to mean sort of false innocence? I just can't seem to understand what dead flies have to do with it.

Every Rocio/Beto scene is good. How frustrating that Susana interrupted it! Rocio was definitely...er...EGGING him on and he fell right into her "trap"!

Marta, I also like Beto/Rocio scenes. Rocio is cool. She doesn't have to work at it, it just comes naturally. Now she is the cool kid Francis should aspire to be.

Oh Sara, "Rocio was definitely...er...EGGING him on" had me giggling. Good one!

Diana

Thanks for the wonderful recap!!

So coming from a show that had 7 kids to this one, the kids here seem so much more immature. Can you imagine Fanny ramming her car into Laura's? I guess I could see Laura ramming Fanny but her plans were much more "adult" in nature. And I don't remember once the 7 MCET kids threatening to tell on one another.

Must admit that Carmen is trying my last nerve. She acts so childish.

All of Santiago's talk about how much he loved his wife but how she has changed gives me hope that these two will find their way back to each other.

Esteban is speaking so much sense to Santiago that I'm now thinking he can't be in cahoots with Estef. So then who is? I'm still not convinced its Isa. Maybe a new character we haven't seen yet? I hope so.

"So coming from a show that had 7 kids to this one, the kids here seem so much more immature."

I did not see MCET. Every time I tuned in it looked like they were putting the younger kids in overly adult situations.

BUT I completely agree that for University students Carmen, Fran and Feli seem pretty immature.

I feel like Susana's threat to snitch on her brother is age appropriate AND typical.

"Esteban is speaking so much sense to Santiago that I'm now thinking he can't be in cahoots with Estef. So then who is? I'm still not convinced its Isa. Maybe a new character we haven't seen yet? I hope so."

Could it be a ruse to throw off suspicion? The idea that the mystery person is Isa is very intriguing...but I'm not completely convinced either. I hope it's a new character as well. I just realized we are about 3 weeks in and there haven't been any real new characters. There has to be a few more folks waiting in the wings.

Well, one more thing that will keep me interested!

And why is so important that Estefy sleeps with Santi?

Jarifa, fabulous recap. Sara, thanks for posting.

So Facundo tells Maria he is okay with her shawl business as long as it doesn’t interfere with her work at the house? Really? Buddy, you have enough money to pay for household help if Maria is too busy. But I’m laughing, because ITA Maria runs that roost, not Facundo.

Such a hoot when Perpetúa dissed Facundo’s deceased mother, saying Carmen gets her crazies from that side of the family.

Yikes, Carmen crossed the line big time. Felipe shouldn’t have anything to do with her anymore. Thank goodness, Maria is making Carmen herself pay for the damage. Softie Facundo was going to let Carmen off the hook.

I can’t be hard on Susana at all. It’s in the little sister handbook that you have the prerogative to be a pain in the butt to your older brother. If Beto is smart, he will bargain for her silence with taking her on extra horse rides or something.

I can’t tell. Is Beto okay with his dad having a happy eye for Isa? If so, I’m not happy about that. I don’t want to see Beto acting the fool like Carmen, down on her knees begging her dad not to forsake the family, but I don’t want to see Beto okay with Facundo carrying on with Isa either.

Loved loved loved the rooster crowing during Beto and Rocio’s scene.

Jarifa: thanks for the "notes" (aka RECAP!!)

Fac's a flirt and has a "healthy" ego. I can see him being seduced by Isa. I predict an affair, but don't believe Fac/Isa is the end game. Early days, though.

Fac says it's alright for Maria to make shawls for Isa as long as her house chores don't suffer?! Besides being really offensive, you're rich, dude, hire a housekeeper.

Diana: was a little upset by Margarito's squealing. Was glad he settled down.

Jarifa: hope Margarito's a minature, otherwise he's not going to be so cute as the TN progresses.

Marta: I've seen that green bug around town. It's really cute.

Now about Carmen. She's around 18, I think. So still kind of a child. She's lived in a small town, so doesn't necessarily know how to deal with big city stuff. I've noticed from day one that she has her father wrapped around her little finger--so she's a little spoiled. Now she meets a guy she likes and wants and since all of the above, she doesn't know how to handle it in the right way.

Nanette

I also thought that part of Carmen's punishment should be that Beto takes her to and picks her up from school on the horse.

Sara: Good question abt Estefy having to sleep with Santi. I was thinking the same thing. Maybe because she plans to use it as proof to blackmail him or break him and Isa up? It looks like all of them were at Uni together so maybe Esteban has been in love all these years with Isa and this is his plan to get her. Maybe all of his good advice is a ruse to keep Santi off the scent.

Agree that Susana's behavior is appropriate for her age. I did think it weird how well all of the MCET kids got along.

"I did think it weird how well all of the MCET kids got along."

My husband and his sister are like that. They never fought. They are 18 months apart and all their friends think it's so weird how well they got a along as children/teenagers. They still get along very well.

"Maybe because she plans to use it as proof to blackmail him ...?"
I would think just pictures in a compromising position would be enough to EGGStract money from Santi. She seems hell-bent on actually doing the deed.

"...so maybe Esteban has been in love all these years with Isa and this is his plan to get her."

That's a thought!

"I also thought that part of Carmen's punishment should be that Beto takes her to and picks her up from school on the horse."

Yes!

"Is Beto okay with his dad having a happy eye for Isa?"

That does seem odd. Everyone seems pretty accepting of Facundo's flirty nature. Is it because he's never crossed a line? That seems odd to me, but I'm very jealous by nature and I would NOT like my husband flirting.

Niecie, I didn't realize Maria was making Carmen pay for the damages. Thank you.

Nanette, I think you are spot on in that Carmen is daddy's little girl and doesn't realize others may not capitulate quite as quickly! ;)

Carvivlie, maybe Isa and Santi will end up together. And happy. They do seem to care about each other although they certainly don't show it most of the time.

Diana

"...Carmen is daddy's little girl and doesn't realize others may not capitulate quite as quickly!"

Facundo *is* a big ol' pushover, isn't he????

Sara, flirts always seem so cute, but not if it's your man.

I am always uncomfortable when I'm with other couples and that happens. I'm relieved hub doesn't do it. That said, if he did, I think I might have cured him of that long ago.

I wouldn't be jealous, I just don't think overt flirting is respectful.

Diana

Of course, if big Ed were my husband (sigh), jealousy might rear its ugly head. Just a tad, mind you.

Diana

I wouldn't be jealous, I just don't think overt flirting is respectful.

I am definitely the jealous type, but there is that idea of respect, too. My husband and I went to an office lunch and a woman brazenly flirted with him. EVERY man knew it (well, except my husband.) After she left one of the men said they were just waiting for me to explode (My temper may have a reputation.) They could tell that I was furious, but not for the flirting. It infuriated me that this woman thought I was so stupid that I wouldn't figure it out.

Of course, if big Ed were my husband (sigh), jealousy might rear its ugly head. Just a tad, mind you.

Ditto. I've been daydreaming about big gold necklaces all day. Such a handsome man! I'm glad we don't have to resort to mud-wrestling on this patio. ;-)

So maybe Estefy is trying to get pregnant by Santi? or maybe she is already pregnant and wants Santi to think its his?

Carvivlie
I'm really wondering now if Estefy and her partner are really trying to break up Isa and Santi. The money being a secondary objective. Because Santi handed over the 2 million pesos without much cajoling.

Jarifa, terrific recap and Sara, thanks of your great recap on Monday, Tuesday's extra recap and posting this with a separate heading so it wouldn't be lost off the main page.

A little miffed at Carmen and Facundo's behavior toward Felipe and Isa who are both unavailable to them since Fel is with Fran, no matter how horrible she is, and Facundo, by being a serial flirter, is disrespecting his wife.

Can't figure out Esteban. He seems so morally outraged by Santi's excesses but he did state he's after Facundo's money for himself. We still don't know who is Estefy's partner, Esteban, Isa or someone else who hasn't been introduced as has been mentioned.

Love spotting all the animals in the various scenes also especially Margarito and that tiny little goat.

GinCA

No problem, GinCA. To be honest I was thrilled when Jarifa volunteered the recap (which she insists on calling "notes".) I sort of selfishly wanted another post so we could be sure to stay on the main page until Friday when Marta gives us one of her stellar recaps.

I get kind of distracted by the animals :-) They are all so cute.

I will try to put some bullets up in the morning after I watch on hulu.

Wow! What an espisode filled with discord!

Facundo "misunderstanding" Isabela's opinion of his daughter Carmen's worth which caused a momentary cancellation of María"s business association with her until Isabela "clarified" things.

Isabela asking Francis not to get into it with Carmen and telling her she won't let Carmen get to Felipe. Felipe overhearing and telling them they are not going to control his life.

Santiago wanting to buy the apt. for Estefany ASAP while Esteban has his doubts but follows orders anyway.

The Carmona's having to eat Carmen's first cooking experiment. After trying to eat her food, Grandpappy Porfirio loses his appetite. He does not even want an egg. He even forgoes pineapple pulque for water.

Rocío sneaking out to see a movie with Beto and being accosted by an infuriated Beto and then Isabel and Santiago.

Rocío getting into it with Isabel. Isabel using the old "my house, my rules". Rocío threatening to leave and Isabela calling her "useless" just like her deceased father.

Santiago sending Estefany a text about a surprise for her. She asking if he finally decided to take the blue pills. (Guess that when Santiago was talking about being up with her till 5am in the last episode, it was a reminiscence from their wild and crazy days.)

María not being happy with Beto wanting to see Rocío because the Velasco's have so many secrets. She telling Facundo about the mysterious conversation of Isabel she overheard. Something about a date. Facundo now, too, wondering what Isabel is hiding.

Isabel talking to herself about her argument with Rocío and it being her fault for not putting a stop to Rocío's insolent behavior. Now deciding to make sure Rocío goes away before the date of . . . Santiago hearing about a "date" and wanting to know what date she is talking about. Santiago telling Isabel he expects nothing of her; she telling him she expects nothing of him.

Isabel talking to herself in the bathroom saying she is afraid that very soon Santiago is going to find her out so she is going to have to be very careful with everything that happened to her sister's children.

Isabel sleeping and having a Facundo fantasy and waking up Santiago just in time to hear her call out "Facundo! Facundo!"

Jarifa

Whoopsie, Ricío and Beto wete accosted by an infuriated Diego!

Jarifa

I just finished watching and I don't think anything needs to be added to your splendid recap that you insist on calling "notes" :D Thank you!

Some favorite moments:
I just adore Rocío and Beto together!

Rocío is so sweet to Alejandra. She seems to truly consider her a sister. I love that this show gives us so many tender moments and not just between couples.

I just don't understand why Maria is so against Rocío.

Santi touring the apartment and clearly pointing out possible places for future hanky panky.

Margarito stealing the scene from Susana. She's trying to tell Beto he's not supposed to be seeing Rocío and all I can do is watch the little pig eating whatever she had in her hand.

Santi telling Isa he truly loves his niece and nephew.

Big Ed in an apron making pancakes. Qué rico indeed.

We now have the mystery of Isa's sister. I was thinking maybe the important date was somehow connected to Rocío's birthday and a possible trust fund... But then Isa mentioned making her leave before "the date" so that theory went out the window.

Jarifa, thank you for the excellent recap! And you are so right that it was filled with discord (great description), but there were so many scenes to sweeten the sour.

"Now deciding to make sure Rocío goes away before the date of . . ." OK, what is the secret? I'm totally hooked of course - on what it might be in addition to every single thing that goes on in this show.

Each episode, I hope to see all the animals - we've been missing Petunia and the little goats. Like you Sara, I was thrilled to see Margarito eating so sweetly from Susana's hand. She seemed so content...And of course you are right, Marg is stealing every scene. Get this piglet an agent!

I also loved the scenes between Rocio and her "sister" and Santi's affection for his children.

Santi was like a kid in a candy store checking out the apartment, rubbing his hands with glee.

Facundo making pancakes and feeding strawberries? I'm savoring those images. Very, very much. Sigh.

Diana

Okay, Sara, I will call it a recap. :)

Jarifa

I swear you are one of Caray's hidden gems, Jarifa! You are a huge help!

It was so nice to go to the comments this morning and to see you had already watched and given us a summary. We are really lucky to have you and Marta watching.

Sara, Diana,

I sure agree about the love Santi has for his children. That is one thing that makes his conniving character so likeable. It is like he almost glows when he talks about them. Who would have known he has a special place in his heart for Felipe?

Margarito was just precious as usual. The piggy is always the highlight for me.

Then the Facundo fantasy dream. That was fun.

Looking forward to learning more about the Estefany mystery and the Isabel mystery. Are they connected?
Is Esteban involved in one, none or both? What happened to Isabel's "useless" brother in law and sister ? Are there twins involved? (Just joking)

I just love that they are trowing out all these intriguing possibilities!

tHrowing...not trowing.

Haven't watched this ep yet, so thanks Jarifa for the recap. Can't wait to see it!! Especially, our adorable Margarito!

Flaco says Santi reminds him of Gomez on The Addams Family (TV show) because he's always grinning.

Nanette

I can totally see the Gomez resemblance!! Santi is even MORE appealing/funny now!

Oh, how did I not come back here to look for the recap. I saw Marta's placeholder post for tonight and though it was last night. In any case, I did not see this episode, but have it recorded and am looking forward to watching it this weekend. Thanks for the preview. Sounds like lots of good moments in this episode.

I know it's early, but so far EVERY episode has had lots of good moments.
