Que Te Perdone Dios Capitulo 53 - Whats a Promise??? - Full Recap

Recap :Courtesy of TN4EVER

Refrito: Helena applies guilt with a trowel to Mateo, saying he’ll matarla en vida (kill her in life, make her as good as dead) if he leaves his wife and child. She is firmly on Diana’s side. “Even above my happiness?” “Yes. It’s the job of the parents to make sacrifices for their children.”

New: Comandante Barragan approaches Motor at the mechanic shop and asks if Motor had a chance to look over the car in which Fausto had his accident. Yes, he did and it does indeed appear that somebody le metió mano (put a hand in it, messed with it). Barragan says that whoever messed with Fausto’s vehicle also messed with the Padre’s. Motor is like, “That would be me.” But Barragan expresses his faith that Motor is innocent, that Marcelino framed him, and that they will find the true culprit.

Lucio is sitting at Mac’s table in her house when she walks in. She gets a little frisky, sitting on his lap and saying she never thought she would say it, but she missed him. I didn’t quite catch their whole conversation, but it seemed like he said she was full of it and she said yeah, I am. She asks after Max, and he says Max is safe in Mexico City. Lucio asks if she made use of Benito since she was missing Lucio, just like she makes use of him (Lucio) when Fausto rejects her. Then he grabs her in a choke hold and says if Benito caves to Barragan about their involvement with Fausto’s accident, he will kill Benito. I’m not sure why he needs to be choking Mac as he says this, but she seems okay with it and they kiss.

The twins are together, and Daniela says she wishes Lucio would go away because he makes her nervous. He’s obviously a criminal. “No worse than our father, and you handled him just fine,” says Ximena, teasing us with a back story that we don’t know yet. Anyway, Daniela needs to pull herself together and run the show for a while, because Ximena will be checking into a spa for some R&R before her hubby comes home from the hospital.

Diego is confessing to Benito that he told a lie to Mateo. Without knowing the least detail of what Diego is talking about, Benito stills says confidently, “I’m sure there was a reason, don’t feel bad.” Now that’s some loyalty there. As it turns out, there is a reason, which is that Diego wants to play God, deciding which little children will have fathers and which will not. In the case of Mat’s child, he will have a father, so Diego must lie and not reveal the truth about Diana’s ho-dom. Right about now, Abi comes riding up on a horse, fairly spilling out the top of a strapless blouse, one that doesn’t have near the support of last week’s bustier. She bounds down from the horse, and Diego sends her inside the Enramada to get some very bad news.

As is Abi’s custom of late, she eavesdrops on a conversation that has a large impact on herself. Diana is working some major reverse psychology on Mat, telling him that she will give him the divorce because she won’t keep him tied to her without love. He is now begging her to keep him around and for them to make a go of it. Helena’s guilt really worked! He asks if Diana stopped loving him and she says no way, so he concludes that not all is lost between them. Diana wraps her bandaged wrists around Mat’s neck, and has now seen Abi lurking in the background. Diana asks, “What about Abi?” “I’ll have to forget her and bury my love for her.” Abi crumples in tears as Diana goes in for the kiss with Mat. As Abi runs away, she kicks a bunch of buckets or something and creates quite a racket. Mat jumps to his feet to give chase, and Diana transforms immediately back into the woman Mat thought he loved but then found out he didn’t. She screeches, “Mateo, let her go. I won’t have you making a fool of me.” “I have to talk to her.” Diana - “Just this one time, and that’s IT!!”

Outside, Mat catches Abi. She says her mom was right, that Mat wouldn’t leave his wife for her and he was just toying with her. Mat tells her about the baby. She sees that it’s hopeless and rides away on her horse. Diego wastes no time in pursuing her. Mat stays back, moping in his green pants, “Mi vida, perdóname, ”while Diana watches approvingly at Abi’s retreat.

At Mia’s house, Epifenia is in a snit because Julian has kept her waiting for an hour. Just as she is about to leave, he shows up. He dismisses Teodora so they can be alone. He tells her about Mat and Diana’s situation with the divorce and the baby, and the gossip seems to mollify her. Then he switches gears and uses the same lines and moves on her as he did on her sister last night, pretty much climbing onto her on the couch. She needs to think it over before they go any further.

A brief scene with Simona and Toño, where Simona is thinking to herself, “You can’t know the truth about your criminal father. Toño asks her what she is thinking about, and she lies, “About how much I love you.” I’m not saying she doesn’t love him, I’m just saying that is NOT what she was thinking about!

Diego has followed Abi, and seconds after she has been devastated by Mateo he is trying to move in. Just accept the reality, move on (to me) he suggests. She says she will leave town, forget about Mat.

Next morning, Epifenia awakes in the bed of Julian! This time she is the one to ask for secrecy about their relationship, and Julian is all over that of course. Even from your sister, he says. He says Eduviges is jealous, will try to separate them and Epi agrees, so nobody must know. If I heard right, she now believes she is engaged to Julian.

A brief scene at Diego’s house, with him, Grandma Vicenta, Abi and new kid Domingo cenando. Domingo affirms that he is re te harto content (way happy) with his new situation. Aw, so sweet.

Benito has given Mat and Diana a ride home to the Hacienda. Diana must not ride in her condition. No problem, Benito will bring the horse over in the morning. Mat and Di go inside. Who is lurking in the bushes? It’s Mac, and she is worried because Barragan is still investigating Fausto’s accident and she could get into trouble. Benito says if it comes up, he will take the blame and leave her name out of it. What’s more, he is going to turn himself in and take all the blame. Spoken like a true doorMat, ready to be used and made a fool of.

Abi is bouncing again as she runs around with Domingo. Diego tells his grandma about Mat’s baby. And what is this? Domingo is already calling Diego “papá”? That seems way to too soon. If they get too attached and then it doesn’t work out, it’s going to be pain all around. Plus, even if everything goes as smooth as silk, it’s just too soon. Abi and Diego go off for a walk.

Family meeting time at the Hacienda. Ren and Fausto, and Mat and Di are gathered together for a big announcement. They’re having a baby. I have a question: Does Renata know she is wearing a Cat Woman leather blouse and looks like a dominatrix? Who dressed her in that? Anyway, there are some seriously subdued congrats all around. Well, Fausto is acting like he’s thrilled, but when Diana asks Ren to congratulate her, the best Ren can do is, “I hope having a baby makes you a better person.” She even asks Mat, right in front of Diana, “Are you sure this is what you want to do?” He responds that yes, it’s all for the baby’s sake. No offense, Diana. Fausto is laughing at the “happy” couple’s expense.

Abi and Diego have arrived at the lake/cenote/water hole. She says it’s peaceful, and Diego says he wants her to feel that peace at his side. His love isn’t new, it’s been around for quite awhile, she can trust it. He basically says he’ll take pity love or none, or anything, just don’t reject me. Accept my love. Abi accepts. They engage in a sweet kiss, and frankly it looks better than those boring lip mashes that Mat gives out. Diego asks Abi to be his novia, and she says yes. They embrace, and while Diego is ecstatic, Abi looks doubtful.

Meliton pays Vicenta a visit, and she comments how Domingo the Kid is over his tragedy, that kids are so resilient. Meliton corrects her, that kids bury the tragedy in their heart, but it comes out again later. Like Diego. He had a happy childhood, but now that he’s older, he wants answers. Mel knows that Vicenta doesn’t approve of the Diego/Abi connection, and wants to know why? What is she hiding? I want to know, too, because if Diego isn’t her uncle, what is the objection? She cryptically says that she just doesn’t want history to repeat itself. Meliton says, “Is this repeating itself?” and slaps her. Just kidding!

At the Dysfunction Junction, Fausto wants to add on another happy announcement, that Crazy Connie is not going to the loony bin after all. Diana says that is so noble of him. And she wants to add another noble gesture, which is to live at the Hacienda during her pregnancy. What, is that a great honor to be bestowed? And she wants Ren and Fausto to be the godparents of the child.

Benito has made his way to the big house and is visiting Connie in her room. He brought her a gift of nuts (that’s kind of insulting, isn’t it Benito?). They chat and Connie says she know she can trust Ben, and tells him that she tried to kill Fausto, by strangling him. Benito doesn’t miss a beat and says he tried to kill Fausto, too, but he is sorry and she should be, too. She starts to get her crazy on, ranting about how she should have stood up to Bruno for Ren’s sake, and Benito tunes out. Or was that me?

Renata tells Mateo that she doesn’t trust Fausto and believes he is up to no good although he is helping her crazy mom. Mat, in full doorMat mode, sticks up for the man who has lied about being his dad and slept with his wife, and advises Ren to stop focusing on herself so much and give Fausto a chance. He says he has to not think of himself and what he wants (Abi), and has to think of what is best for others, and she should do the same. His and Abi’s love is an amor imposible and it’s over. He can’t ask her to wait for him. Until when exactly would she be waiting in a case like this? Until the child goes to college?

Diego and Abi are acting like full on boyfriend and girlfriend. He buys her a heart-shaped balloon in the park and they stroll around. They both bite into opposite sides of an elote, with no subtextual connotations whatsoever.

Renata and Mat, blah, blah, blah. Mat wants to move away, but Ren knows that distance doesn’t cure a broken heart, the love stays with you , even after death. Yes, she was in love like that once. Why didn’t you marry him? I don’t want to talk about it. Well you’re the one who brought it up so excuse me! Bottom line, Ren knows she needs to move on. She’s going to forgive Fausto and give him a chance.

While Ren and Mat are talking. Diana goes up to Fausto’s room. He tells her to leave him alone, to go away. She says he is the father of her baby. He says, congratulations, you’re trying to rope me in along with Mat by saying that. But she says she is sure, that a woman knows. But if he’s in doubt, they should get a paternity test. He says that’s impossible because if they go to a lab for that test the whole town will soon know. I say it’s impossible because how would they distinguish between a father and son’s DNA? Well, she says it’s his, and doesn’t care what he believes. She walks out, even as he’s asking her to wait.

The final scene: Abi wakes up and Diego comes climbing in her bedroom window, carrying a rose. They are all sweety-faced, and Diego reiterates that it’s cool she’s still in love with Mat, he know she’ll get over it eventually because he’s going to try so hard to win her over to him. I’m hoping Mac doesn’t come in, when there’s a knock and Mateo comes in. Abi tells him that she heard how the conversation where Diana said she would divorce him but he begged her to stay and promised to forget Abi. “Te burlaste de mi (you mad a fool of me).” Diego moves in and marks his new territory with a hand to Abi’s shoulder. “She’s my girlfriend, dude.”

Avances: Abi and Diana get into it, with Abi saying “why don’t you get out of here?” and Diana wanting to see Abi sick with jealousy over Mat. Mac calls out Diana in front of Ren and Fausto.

Here is the recap, please copy and paste the link below into your browser.

Once again, sorry for the unusual format, and thank you for being flexible. I maintain faith that access will get worked out at some point.

Btw, if anybody with access can repost this for me to Caray, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hope you enjoy!

Count, I just checked my email and saw that you will post for me. Thank you so much for your help!

Thre recap has been posted, thank you TN4Ever and iof coure without furter ado ,enjoy!

TF, thank you for your excellent mini-cap of yesterday which I just read.

TN4EVER, you burst out of the gate with "Helena applies guilt with a trowel to Mateo" and never looked back. Fabulous.

"Mat stays back, moping in his green pants, Spoken like a true doorMat, ready to be used and made a fool of" and "He brought her a gift of nuts (that’s kind of insulting, isn’t it Benito?)" were excellent.

Looks like I missed an action packed episode. Mat crawling back to Di? Abi and Diego? Benito being kicked in the shins again? (no surprise there - for heaven's sake, man up and stop your sniveling and groveling of Macaria who SO isn't worth it!)

Surprised and disappointed in Helena. I understand the rationale but...

Thank you, thank you!

Diana

Thank you so much Diana, so glad you like it!

I noticed we got a glimpse of just about everybody last night, maybe Dr. Pat being the only exception. It was just one scene each for Lucio, the twins, Barragan! Motor, Simona. And no Max. It was all about Abi, Diego and Mat.

Julian's story took awhile to get going, but now he's making up for lost time!

Still want to know what is up with Vicenta's big secret about Diego.

Thanks TN---Yes there was a lot going on last night but being honest, the only part that I liked was the Abi Diego scenes.
They looked so sweet together. Yes Abi, give Diego a chance.

Mateo---Ditch the green pants.
the gringo

TN4ever, thanks for the excellent recap! Fun, witty and to the point.
Count, thanks for posting the recap.

I enjoyed last night's epi. Alot happened which helps move the story along.

There has been alot of speculation about Diego and Abi's relation. As far as I know, Diego is Bruno's son, Ren's half brother, which makes him Abi's uncle. I think there was some confusion somewhere, but as far as I know, that is Vicenta's big secret. Also, her daughter (Diego's mother) has had no contact with Vicenta since she left the hacienda. A few episodes back, Vicenta said that her daughter could be dead as far as she knows because she had not seen or spoke to her.

Vivi, can you confirm this? I might be wrong, but I know you are an expert at details.

Hasta pronto

Hi AuntyAnn, thanks for the feedback!

I recall last week Vicenta being at Bruno's grave, saying that Diego wasn't his son, although many believe him to be. Then she thanked Bruno for helping her when she needed him. Plus, I hope that the writers wouldn't be having Abi and Diego become novios as uncle and niece! So there does seem to be a bit of mystery about what went on with Vicenta and Bruno, which may or may not involve Diego. I think the daughter is known to be deceased.

Ooh, another detail about last night's episode: I'm pretty sure Diego didn't get a chance to tell Abi that he lied to Mat or why he lied. If that's the case, she's probably going to be mad when she finds out, considering that was the final factor in Mat's decision to stay with Diana.

Tn4ever: Thanks for this wonderfully snarky recap! Here are just a FEW of the many gems:

"Helena applies guilt with a trowel to Mateo"
and
"he is going to turn himself in and take all the blame. Spoken like a true doorMat" LOL! How true in BOTH cases!!

Diana goint to "live at the Hacienda during her pregnancy. What, is that a great honor to be bestowed?" ITA it was a true WTF? moment for me!

Thanks also for your and TF's highlights for Wednesday. Totally appreciated the assist. They are now pasted over my message with full credit.

Welcome aboard and hope to read many more of your crazy commentaries! LOL!!

One question: I raced through the episodio this AM and did I hear Simona thinking to herself that Julio, Mia's escaped con of a son was his baby daddy?

Thank you Jardinera!! Yes, Julio is the baby daddy, and that's why Mia was blackmailing Simona.

From what i recall there was a big fuss about Bruno being Diego's dad but there was also a flahback shown in which Elena begged Faust to marry her but he refused cause he met some other gal who is equal as stupid as her, a worker at the Bruno Flores hacienda. This girl was most likely Vic's daughter and i am also suspecting that she was also Lucio's biatch ex wife.
