5/14 #190 Hasta el Fin del Mundo - Lucas gets a new luke, whatever

This is my last recap for this TN.  It’s been a hoot!  I’ve actually enjoyed this one.  Even though the storylines often didn’t make sense, it sure gave us a lot to talk about.

Depa de Isadora
Gerry has delivered the Injection of Doom.  He and Aldo.2 leave Isadora out cold on the floor.  Oliver arrives, suitcases and all.  He finds his mother dead to the world.  He receives a call from Daddy Dearest and cries as he tells him he’s afraid mums is dead!  Gerry tells him to remain calm and he’ll be right over.

Later, Gerry has arrived with the good Doctor Santivañes.  Oliver is frantic and doesn’t understand why Morgana wasn’t there but Gerry explains it was her day off.  Doctor reports Isadora is dead from a heart attack.  Oliver can’t understand.  She’d never complained of a heart problem.  Doc explains this happens suddenly sometimes, with no warning.  Gerry thanks the doc, asking him to complete his duties and Gerry will take care of the rest.  Ollie weeps over his mother.

Depa de Irais
Matias cooks for his chocolatito bonbón. They make plans for a family with children and dogs…..zzzzz

Casa de Chava – We’re having a baby, my baby and me….
Sofia has gathered her family, including Fausto, for the announcement.  Greta’s worried and doesn’t know what’s going on.  Everyone thinks she’s gathered them as part of their mourning over Alexa.  Chava and Sofia announce they have good news.  But, before Sofia can say anything, the doorbell rings and Paco tells them about Lucas’ good fortune with the recording.  Dani introduces the new and improved Lucas with his new ‘luke’, straightened hair and blue suit and tie.  He looks so uncomfortable in these clothes.  He’s not selling it.

Somewhere in a chapel
Oliver and Gerry wait for Isadora’s body.   Gerry takes Regina aside and makes sure she’s made all the arrangements per his instructions.  He wants to make sure this is an intimate ceremony with no outsiders.  He and his son wish to grieve in complete privacy.  The casket arrives.  Oliver opens the casket and cries over Isadora’s body.  He’s sorry he didn’t come to her sooner.  He hadn’t realized how much he needed her.  Gerry stands by and thoughtbubbles, “Go ahead and cry.  Little by little, I will harden your heart.  I’m going to prepare you for your grand future.”

Back at Chava’s
Dani and Marisol tell Lucas he looks just fine even though he may feels muy uncomfortable.  Chava and Sofia finally break the news about the blessed event.  Everyone goes gaga with happiness.  Fausto sees this as a sign from God and Greta knows Alexa would have been happy.  Sofia and Chava say they will name the child after Alexa.  Marisol and Dani actually hug, happy that they’re gonna be aunties.

Casa de Armando
Armando prays for the words to help his son and the strength to go on without the woman he loves.  Armando goes to answer the door and we peek in on Nandito’s dream of Alexa saying she’ll always be with him.  Regina has come to offer Armando her condolences.  He explains Nandito is taking it really hard.  Regina says it’s only natural.  Nandito loved her very much and they had formed a family.  She asks how Armando is doing.  He tells her that although he’s trying to be strong, the sadness is overwhelming.  He can’t accept that he’ll never hear her voice, her laughter, or that look in her eyes when she’s excited.  It isn’t right that fate has taken the woman he loves in such a cruel manner.  He can’t get over the night she left.  He shoulda stopped her, shoulda held her with all his strength.  If he’d done that, he’s convinced she’d be alive.  Regina tells him he’s being too hard on himself.  He’s not to blame.  Without knowing it, Alexa herself went searching for her fatal destiny.  No one could have prevented that.

Casa de Chava
The extended Cruz/Ripoll/Fernandez family is enjoying Marisol’s Pan de Lupe.  Paco tells her they’re just as good as Lupe used to make.  Chava knows she’s smiling down on them from heaven.  Marisol reports her sales of Pan de Lupe are doing well.  She’s already sold them to all the stores in the neighborhood.  Paco offers to modify his little store to sell Pan de Lupe! Marisol agrees and they shake on it.  One big happy family, aw.

Three months later

Prison
Patricio and Silvana have just had a conjugal visit but Silvana is angry that she can only see him once a week while Peralta remains free, doing as he pleases.  Patricio’s convinced Peralta killed Isadora.  He doesn’t buy into the ‘heart attack’ as the cause of death.  Silvana worries they could be next but Patricio seems confident that won’t happen.  He’s sure he’ll be out soon.  Silvana tells him she’s done as he asked.  He then says, “Who knew the ones helping me leave this hell would be……Chava and Sofia!”

In a Church somewhere
Mass is being celebrated in Memory of Alexa.  Chava and Sofia give their thanks for their child.  Everyone is there.  Armando speaks with Greta who tells him the new baby provides her with much needed comfort.  She asks Armando and Nandito to come by for a visit.  She’d like that very much.  Dani and Lucas walk in as she receives a text message from Oliver, saying he wants her to know he’s with her.  Lucas thought he’d be there.  Dani’s not so surprised. With the recent death of his mother, these types of services are difficult for him.

Peralta makes an appearance during the Lord’s Prayer.  Chava and Sofia both tell him he’s not welcome.  Greta joins them in telling him to scram.  He leaves quietly.

Gilligan’s Island – Ginger, now being played by Alexa Ripoll
Alexa, scantily clad in the latest deserted island couture, thinks of Armando and her family.  She thinks she’s just a memory for them.  She’s sure she’s dead to them.  Later, she runs up to Nancu and he lifts her up.  He’s made her a necklace of shells.  He wants her to wear it tonight at the Tribal Council when she becomes one of them.  Drat, I thought they were gonna kick her off the island.  She says how good he’s been to her, always showing her kindness.  Nancu says he feels much more for her; she’s always in his thoughts and feels her deep in his heart.  Alexa doesn’t think she deserves his love.  It’s time he hears her story so he’ll know who the real Alexa Ripoll is.

Jealous Jungle Girl (thank you Nanette!) is complaining to Granny Curandera about Ginger Alexa, saying all they know about her is her name.  JGG is a stickler for the rules and says only those born on the island can live there.  Granny says The Sea brought her for a reason and if Nancu wants her to stay, she stays.  Maryann knows that vieja will only bring tragedy to the island.  uh-oh, After Granny walks away, JGG looks up to the sky and says the stranger has stolen Nancu’s heart, “but Nancu belongs to me!”

Peralta and his evil thoughts
Geronimo, in his car, thoughtbubbles about Sofia’s pregnancy, “Sofia is pregnant by that pelagatos! (cat skinner  HA!)  He imagines the death of Lupe, the factory fire, and the jet crash.  “Sofia, you haven’t suffered enough with all the pain I’ve surrounded you with.  And now you’re expecting.  But that joy won’t last for long.”  He turns to Aldo and asks if he remembers the plan he had forged (fraguar/fraguado) for Chava and Sofia.  Aldo does and Geronimo snaps his fingers and orders him to execute it now.  He tells Aldo to have his pilot to set up a flight plan and fly them to Cancun.

Gilligan’s Island
Alexa and Nancu walk along the beach.  Apparently she’s told him her story.  Viewerville is spared the recounting of her life story.  whew!  She thinks he’d be repulsed by her.  She’d understand if he wants her to leave the island and asks that he take her to the big island.  He asks if she wants to go back to her own people, to the man she loves.  She thinks that life is over, “That porno film must have gone viral by now.  Even though a body double was used for the more graphic scenes, I can only imagine my family’s shame, my mother’s disappointment.  They’ll wonder why I did it and their view of me and who they thought I was is now shattered.  Armando wouldn’t even be able to look me in the eye.  There’s no need for you to say anything.  I’ll leave.”  She walks away and of course he runs after her, “Your past is in the past.  You were born the day you arrived here.  Stay.”  At least I think that’s what he said, between his bad acting and bad accent, I may have missed a word or two.

Casa de Chava
The extended family has arrived for a reception of sorts after the commemorative Mass.  An anonymous letter is on the floor and Chava is impactado upon reading it.  The family chit chats about the beautiful service and Alexa.  Chava walks in and tells Armando a story about needing to rush off to the garage.  Once outside, Chava shows him the letter but they don’t share it with us.  They rush off to show it to Tavarez.

Oficina Peralta
Geronimo has forgotten one of his cell phones at the office and calls to instruct Regina to place it in a drawer in his desk.  (I’m sure this will figure prominently in tomorrow’s finale)  Oliver arrives, wondering where dad is.  Regina advises him Geronimo is traveling and won’t be back til day after tomorrow.  Well, Oliver had just come by to give him the estimates on some onyx lamps and also to deliver some reports.  Regina knows Gerry will be pleased and says how proud he is of Oliver.  He says he’s working hard to meet the responsibilities Gerry has entrusted him with.  Regina knows Gerry recognizes his hard work.  Oliver would trade that recognition for an occasional, “I love you son.”  aw

Prison yard - Alberto Estrella is the BEST bad guy around
Patricio and Cristian are watching a pick up game of fútbol in the prison yard.  Gerry’s inside man doesn’t have a name yet so I’ll call him Alberto for now.  Anyway, Alberto approaches Patricio, asking how he likes their luxurious accommodations so far.  He offers them a cig – Patricio takes one but prefers to save it for later.  “Fine,” says Alberto, “catch you later, pececito (little fish).”  Patricio explains to Cristian that Gerry hired Alberto to protect him so Cristian better keep his mouth shut or Alberto could very likely cut his tongue out.  “But that’s going to change,” says Patricio.  Cristian asks if this has anything to do with that anonymous letter.  Patricio snickers and says  Chava and Sofia will help him.  Peralta can’t imagine that from the confines of prison, Patricio will destroy him!

Delagación – Tavarez suddenly wants proof
Tavarez reads from the anonymous letter, your typical letter using magazine cutouts to spell out the words, “The factory fire and the murder of Lupe were ordered by……..Geronimo Peralta, owner of the Project Magnus.”  Chava charges that Peralta has been behind all their misfortune.  Armando says Irma mentioned seeing Project Magnus in the papers she found while rummaging through Renzi Realty.  Chava theorizes that Renzi now sleeps with the fishes, just like Manjarrez.  Tavarez says they don’t have the evidence to prove that.  Since when has that stopped him?  Armando reminds Tavarez that Renzi Realty was backed by funds that didn’t come from Renzi.  Renzi needed a Godfather with a lot of money.  It’s clear Peralta had the strings that controlled the puppets.  If Tavarez doesn’t act now, Peralta is sure to flee.  Chava asks if Tavarez plans to wait until Peralta commits another crime.  Chava worries his family is in danger as long as Peralta is on the loose.  Tavares understands their desperation but asks again, “Where’s the proof he’s behind it all, especially now that Patricio has confessed to everything?”  Armando figures Patricio was the scapegoat (chivo expiatorio).  Chava is sure Peralta must’ve paid him plenty to take the bullet.  Tavares repeats there’s already someone in jail for those crimes.  He can’t arrest someone else based on an anonymous letter.  Chava is getting hot under the collar and insists Tavarez investigate Peralta and get the proof.  Tavarez agrees to open an investigation but they need to be very cautious.  Only then can they capture Geronimo Peralta!

Tribal Council
How many votes will Alexa get?  Jealous Jungle Girl insists they know nothing about The Stranger.  Granny tells her to shut it.  Nancu asks the elders to accept Alexa as one of their own.  She passes before the elders who each paint markings on her face.  She stands before Nancu who names her Calento, Chicken Star of the Sea.  All the natives cheer and whoop as he parades her around the fire.  I guess the tribe has spoken!  JJG is fuming that Alexa’s torch has not been snuffed out.

Casa de Chava
Armando and Chava return home and Chava asks Armando not to breathe a word of this to Sofia.  They need to put their heads together and see if they can up with anything that corroborates what’s said in the anonymous note.  If it all turns out to be true, Peralta will pay!

Meeting of Minions
Aldo passes around a photo of Chava’s car, “You know what needs to be done.”

Pan Lupe
Barrotas has been renamed Pan Lupe and has a new pink color scheme.  Nandito is helping Marisol behind the counter as Chava and Sofia go on a quesadilla run.  Ominous music plays as two SUVs follow behind them.

Alone at home, Armando wonders how they can come up with the goods against Peralta.

The Chase
The chase continues as Chava and Sofia are now on a country road, followed by two masked goons.  Chava has noticed they’re being followed.  The goons speed up but Chava leaves them in the dust, momentarily.  Darn, a tractor slows him down and gives the goons a chance to catch up, and they have auto rifles.  Sorry, that’s the extent of my knowledge on guns.  The goons eventually succeed in running Chava off the road.  We see the goons approach the car in slow-mo.  A battered Chava comes to, calling for Sofia, BUT SHE’S NOT THERE!!!!    ¡SOFIA!  ¡SOFIA!  ¡MI AMOR! SOFIA!   ¡MI AMOR!
¡SOFIAAAAAAAAA!

Thanks Paquita.

Was it just me - or did this episode seem a little choppy? I think Uni combined two episodes into one.

The chase was so lame. What's the point of the guns if the orders are to not to shoot?

Paquita- Your recaps are always so wonderful, and done so quickly. Thank you!

I had such a huge laugh over Lucas' new "Luke", OMG!

I don't understand Alexa's thinking. She must realize that Alan likely didn't survive the plane crash, right? So why does she think her porno has been released? She would really prefer to stay on a remote island? Can any one tell me why the only non-black people in the village/island are the leader and the healer? Oh, never mind!

On to the REAL story. Looks like the final episode will be a dramatic rescue of Sofia, a last stand by Pato, and Peralta's downfall. They have a lot to get through without these silly Lost, Mexican Idol, and Irais La Fea storylines.

Peralta is the B613 of Mexico: ruthless, evil, cold-hearted, manipulative.

Poor Oliver is going to find out the hard way tomorrow night when he finds out!

It looks like Morgana fled the country! Dammit!

Alexa looks HOT in the scantly clad outfit & barefoot!

JJG is super jealous! LOL.

FREE SOPHIA!

PS: We need pictures for tomorrow night's 2-hour Gran Final!

Wow, I really did not expect that Isadora would die. Salvador still has Sofia and Marisol post Lupe, but Oliver has no one except the hideous Peralta.

I have no idea what will happen Friday night, but I hope that Oliver turns bad for about 30 seconds and gets someone to kill his dad. Peralta really deserves a monumental anvil.

Wonder how Alexa will get home, because SURELY she won't stay on the island.

xInt, Paquita, Corazon, and Cynderella, thank you all so much for providing your wonderful, wonderful recaps and sticking through the whole novela. It's a lot of work and you are appreciated by many people.

I figure that for every person who comments, there are probably 50 more who don't comment but do enjoy your recaps.

Thank you again!

Paquita, thank you for this entertaining recap and all of the others you did.

The episode wasn't bad but the whole Alexa stuck in a jungle somewhere is just too lame to even want to warch.

It looks like it will be a two hour finale according to my cable guide. From 8:00-10:00 central time.

Jarifa

No one's ever accused Alexa of being a smarty but is she actually choosing to let her entire family and loved ones think she perished in a horrible plain crash because in her mind, Alan not only survived the crash but has released the video to the public just because (since he'd think she was dead so why even do that?) and the shame is too much to handle so it's best she disappear forever? Huh? Why is this village stupidity taking up precious screen time?

I don't know who will be Peralta's undoing but if it's from that anon letter Pato sent it's his own damn fault. Paying for Pato's protection in jail never made any sense - it would be best for him if Patricio was killed in jail after confessing to the crimes. No need to worry about Pato turning on him. The only loose end would be Silvana who he could easily kill if needed and made to look like a suicide b/c she couldn't handle Pato's death.

*plane not plain

Ugh.

Paquita, thanks for making the recap way better than this episode! You and I had exactly the same thought - when do they vote Alexa off the island? This storyline is so stupid. But I did get a laugh out of Jungle Boy calling her "Alessa" - and him giving her the shell necklace was hysterical. I really wish Alessa had been wearing a bikini top made of coconuts. Fitting that Alessa should run into a Jungle Irma. Will she get another beat down from a jealous ex?

Vivi, Luca's new luke was a howl. I didn't think it was possible to make him look bad because he's kind of a cute kid. But they did. Good grief.

Paquita... So long TN recap pal. Thank you so much. I feel like many of us regulars here are almost friends. A pretty funny recap of a boring episode. You have made this goofy TN fun.
Kirbo

One word: Man Stealin Ho.
Well, in English it's 3.

You so funny Paquita! Thank you for this and all the others.

"scantily clad in the latest deserted island couture"

"Chicken of the Sea"

Alberto Estrella is BEST! Where was the likes of him earlier?

Well, at least they covered Lucas's dumbo ears.

Dumb ass white girl wash up on the beach and the immediate center of attention! She cannot feed herself, thatch a hut, scale a fish or as evident last night dance around a fire. And her confession, I see no satellite dishes or TV's or even a cell phone so how would Nancu even know what a porno was?

Wait, wait why didn't the goons kill Salvador? Peralta has been creative in knocking folks off. Surely he could have finagled things to look like Chava's biceps prevented the airbag from deploying properly and he died in the crash.

There are so many unanswered questions and loose ends. Hope they clear everything up Friday night.

After three months, I would be expecting that the new chocolate factory in Paco's house would be up and running. And, why would Peralta kill his ex-wife himself, when he had Aldo do all the other murders? If Aldo did it, he could claim that he didn't know anything about it.

Patrick is NOT long for this world tonight because we all know Peralta sees him as the loose end!

Patrick: enjoy your last hours on earth!

You would think the chocolate factory would be up and running but it is Paco running it so not a surprise. Greta knew 30 years ago to hook her wagon to Octavio. Ok, Paco can whip up a batch of sweets but creating and running a successful business very different. What Paco is today is the life Greta would have had.

Tofie: Now Paco & Greta are reunited as an item! Took them 30 years & killing off Lupe for it to happen!

Converting his entire storefront that seemed somewhat successful as a grocery into a place to sell Lupe's Pan instead of, I don't know, his CHOCOLATE, made no sense. Turning that place into his own little chocolate shop where he sells his creations (opposed to selling them out of his house like he had suggested) would allow the stolen recipes story to come full circle and would have been a nice ending. I don't get the direction the show took instead. I was content just having her pan be sold out of the local stores. I assume that Ripoll chocolates may be rebuilt now that Patricio confessed to the arson crime but the storefront in the meantime would have been a nice touch.

One reveal I'd like to see is Silvana/Christian finding out it was Octavio, not Greta that sent their mother the loaded gun and that their revenge plan aka reason for living all these years was based off an ASSumption and they got it wrong. That hatred of Greta was such a big part of the Silvana character for so long that I would feel cheated if she never learned that Greta had nothing to do with it.

Thank you for the recaps Paq. I enjoyed reading and appreciate the time it took to do it. Let's begin:

So they're really going to do this with us. They're going to insult the viewers intelligence with this island nonsense. It makes no sense on so many levels. It was touched upon by others so I won't go into it to much, but damn it is so stupid and unbelieavable. I would have more respect for the storyline if they went the tired and boring "amnesia" route, at least then she would have a reason to stay there. Her reasoning for staying now is just ridiculous. If they're going to do this, do it all the way. Have her spend the rest of her life there and have Amando hook up with Regina.

"Jungle Irma"..lol, brilliant!

Lucas looked like a fool and he knew it.

Sophia looked kind of big for 3 months, twins maybe?

Chava is a professional driver in a rocket car and he couldn't lose two surbabans? Yeah right?

I'm worried the writers won't fulfill my wish and re-unite Greta/Paco with a grand wedding. I know on here Greta isn't too popular but I like her rebirth and a reunion with Paco would end the show in style.

I agree, I think the phone will come into play somehow. Unless there's some incriminating text or voicemail, i don't see how he finds out.

Anon@08:54, I agree wiht you on the confusion with the direction of the show. It seems as if they write on the fly instead long term. They write what they feel is good at the moment instead of thinking about weeks or months down the line which strains credibility.

Can't wait until the final episode, and see how they end it.

Let's hope there's not an alternate ending!

Thank you so much for this recap and all of your stupendous recaps, Paquita! I'm going to miss them! You had me laugh throughout. I wasn't paying close attention so missed the intro to Lucas' new "luke" so I was shocked when I realized it was him, he looks so different and so bad! His hair should be shorter, he looks like an emo kid.

Mauricio I agree this episode felt choppy. I missed the 3 months later part so I felt lost but it still felt like we missed some things.

Things that made no sense to me:

Alexa's island drama: it's all been said

Sofia is just a housewife now? With all her business experience she could't put Pan Lupe in grocery stores already?

I think it's stupid too that Paco would get rid of his successful small business to open a store to sell only one product. Makes no sense!

Gerry killed Isadora and didn't allow any other mourners in to the funeral, no one questioned it?

Where's Irma? She should have came back running to Armando and Nandito when she heard the news of Alexa's plane crashing. I hated her but it makes no sense she wouldn't come back.

Chava the amazing race car driver, crashes into a ditch?

I do hope it's a 2 hour finale because there's still a lot that needs to be resolved. Loving all the comments. I'll miss everyone.

A great last recap it was and yes, it has been a hoot reading all of your recaps.

I liked your Oliver comment taken from Peralta's twisted evil thinking but my absolute favorite was when Alexa was at the tribal council and you wrote---Drat, I thought that they were gonna kick her off the island.
Paquita, I'm still laughing. Alexa survived the tribal council.
Well, she's a Survivor.

The part that got me was that Alexa ended up on an island who knows where but everyone there speaks Spanish, so no problema.

Many complaints about the Alexa turn of events but Carlos from yesterday said that he liked unexpected plot twists. Steve said that jungle girl Alexa looked hot and the gringo says that he "will not" be visiting the "We Hate Alexa" table on the patio.

Lucas' hair didn't look bad to me
and if this were the 60's it would have looked great. The suit has to go though.

So a race car driver in a hot Mustang? (will have to look at that again) couldn't out run a Jeep and something else? Que? Yes and why wasn't Chava shot and killed? Well it's because he is destined to ride off into the sunset with Marjorie de Sousa.
the gringo

Carlos---You had me LMAO. Fausto an ineffective, wimpy hand wringer
Maybe even a prissy enabler. It sure seem that way but Kirby is right too. The story needed a Fausto.
the gringo

Paquita: Thanks for the shout out.

Blah ep. And what's with the jungle storyline?! Bizarre.

Looking forward to tonight.

Nanette

Was Lucas still wearing the SAME suit after the three month jump?

Thanks for this final nifty recap and for all your efforts in providing us with excellent entertaining, insightful, and amusing recaps for this TN, Paquita.

I'm hoping that Irma returns for the last episode tonight. I can't imagine that she'd just get on the bus and leave Nandito behind just like that. Think what you will of her, I don't believe that anyone can deny that she loved Nandito, Armando, and the rest of her family.

I was fascinated by the diverse population and interesting social structure on that remote island. Did anyone see any children there? Perhaps the writers will treat us to a surprise luau on the island with everyone showing up and with a grownup Benito featured as the guest of honor.

Carlos

Turns out that poor Lucas may have gotten one of the worst anvils of all.

Carlos

Carlos---Sometimes you're so bad.
A luau with Benito as the guest of honor. Does that mean that he gets eaten?

If Alexa lives out the rest of her life on the island happy as a coconut, does that make a way for Irma to come back to Armi?
the gringo

Seriously, no lie. That blue suit of Lucas' hurt my eyes.

Carlos, diverse population? I thought the exact opposite. Racist observation in 3.2.1! All of the natives and tribal council were either black or mixed with black except for Nacu and Alexa. If only natives are allowed on the island, how was Nancu sired? He looks like no one and his hair is practically blonde. How and why is Nacu (the odd man out) become the leader?

Cynderella,

For a remote isolated island I would have expected the population to have been much more ubiquitous than it appeared to be. There were blacks and then others who appeared more indigenous looking and Nacu who as you point out was rather whitish. More diverse than I would have expected considering such a remote rural location. And the fact that he was apparently the big chief prompted my thought that there was a rather odd social structure. I imagine the colors for her facial painting made Alexa feel almost right at home.

Carlos

Thanks, Paquita. Great title. Gilligan’s Island – Ginger, now being played by Alexa Ripoll -- lol!

The prison stuff was the best part last night. I thought the car chase was pretty good too.

All that time soaking up the local culture and that’s the best dance Alexa could do? Downright embarrassing. They should've voted her off the island for that reason alone.

I think Peralta’s goons left Chava alive cause he wants to see him suffer. Peralta wants Chava to suffer even more than Sophia.

How and why is Nacu (the odd man out) become the leader?

Cynderella, I think Pedro Moreno lost a bet. He had a pretty good role in Una familia con suerte.

Lily: Irma was ANNOYING & incompetent because everytime she kept obsessing over clinging onto Armando, Nandito, etc.,

Niecie: Jealous Jungle Girl is one bitter PSYCHO!

Is anyone else having issues with subtitles? I'm 190 episodes invested in this and tune in for the 2 hour Gran Fin and the english and spanish subtitles are both way delayed and off to the point where it is unwatchable. I watch with the english but if my only option is to use the spanish subtitles that's fine but both aren't working right. Is this actually happening?..and my ear for hearing spanish is basically at a zero so just listening isn't an option.

I know Peralta's boss named Daddy Mike spoke English sometimes.

Thats why I don't bother reading sub titles. I watch the show, and then wait for the great recappers. Love the recappers.we'd be lost in telenova land without them.
I wish you well with your subtitles Anon.

Nina

Guessing the recap on tonight's episode with pictures will be posted later tonight or tomorrow morning!

anon@9:30, this is the third TN finale i've watch and for the third time they've screwed up the Subtitles. I think it has something to do with the credits being shown first and the two hour length that throws everything off. It's pretty stupid that univision can't get the finale subtitles right. Luckily my wife translated the parts I didn't understand.

They usually show the credits around the middle of the TN.

Looking forward for the recap with pictures from last night's 2-hour Gran Final!

The subtitles were messed up on mine too. I speak Spanish but sometimes they use words that leave me completely baffled. That's one reason I enjoy watching, I'm always increasing my vocabulary. But when subtitles are so far off it's distracting.

Yjanks to all the recappers. Splendid job. How come no recap yet of the Gran Finale. I watched it with the same frustrations over the subtitles. Yeah they did these every finale time. I scream Holy Murder! grrrrrr.....
I only rely on either English or Spanish subtitles because I cant understand spoken Spanish too much. I'd rather read them.
Anyhoo, Ill just wait for the recap. I don't want to reveal satisfying end results of that 2 hr finale. See ya later. Anne
