Hasta el Fin del Mundo #191 20150515 Finalmente el Fin del Telenovela

Thanks to all of the recappers....

Xlint
PaquitadelBarrio
and yes, Jarifa who filled in for me in the comments often!  I really appreciate it.

Also thanks to all the commenters who came back everyday!

I also rely on CC and they sucked last night, so if I missed anything or didn't quite get it right...I apologize.

  • Chava is freaking out about finding Sophia.  He is harassing poor Fuzzy Tavarez.
  • Meanwhile, Armando is trying to convince Regina that Peralta is not the fine upstanding citizen that he portrays.  Regina's getting a fine upstanding paycheck from him, so she's going to be a hard sell.
  • Speaking of the devil, Peralta is out on his yaght enjoying libations with Mike Stone (the American, who speaks english with a thick Mexican accent)...OK who in the hell is Mike Stone?  I don't remember him or wasn't paying attention.  Anyways, Peralta and Ricardo...(who in the hell is Ricardo?) accuse Mike Stone of double crossing them about the buying product from other dealers.  Mike throws in an English word every once in a while and swears that he did not double cross them.  Anyways, Ricardo shoots Mike in the chest and he falls FACE DOWN into the middle of the ocean.  Theoretically, one would believe that if the bullet wound doesn't kill him, he will drown.  More about that later.
  • The kidnappers drag Sophia into a undisclosed location with a bag over her head.  Aldo, the grim reaper is there to greet her in his own special way.  Aldo is sexy.  Just thought I'd throw that out there.  Anyway, it looks like they throw her into a shed with a bed.
  • In this episode of Survivor, Nacu takes Alexa out for a romantic dip in a pond.  He decides to spit some game on her by telling her that she's hot and he will make her forget that guy back in her world.  For some reason, she dips under the water and plays with her feet...perv..Nacu's a little freak!  Who knew that jungle kings had foot fetishes!  Anyways, when he pops back up to kiss her, Alexa imagines that Nacu is Armando.  OK, Um....My fantasy man would be kissing half-naked Nacu in the pool, but whatever!  Anyways, that jealous chick hears Nacu offering his loins to Alexa and she declares that Alexa won't ever get to lift that loin cloth.
  • Over at the jail, Patrick tells Silvanna that the cops should be talking to Cruz or something like that. Maybe he said that the cops should be here after talking to Cruz?  Unfortunately, they don't know that someone is eaves dropping on their conversation.  That guy runs back and tells the Peralta's man on the inside everything he heard Patrick say.
  • Tavarez pays a visit to Dulliver, but as usual, Dulliver is useless and of no help to anyone.  He tells Tavarez that his father took a little trip.
  • Back in the shed, Peralta and Aldo pay Sophia a visit.  She throws a million punches and tries to get away, but he just laughs at her.  Anyway, he confesses that he burned down Ripoll, took down Alexa's plane and ordered the hit on Lupe.  This is not the way to win a woman's heart.  Anyways, Sophia punches him some more and when he tires of her, he pushes her on the bed and walks out.
  • Armando has had come luck with Regina after he tells her that she will be charged as an accessory to Peralta's crimes.  She hands him a thumb drive.
  • Peralta goes home and Dulliver tells him that Sophia was kidnapped and the cops are looking for him.  Note:  Dulliver doesn't know that the cops are LOOKING for Peralta.
  • In the next episode of Survior Isla Najiba, the crazy chick pretends to be friends with Alexa and takes her on a tour of the Island.  Anyways, she takes her on a tour of the quick sand and pushes Alexa in.  Nacu shows up and rescues her...again, he's built like Tarzan and he wears a loin cloth.  He rescues her from quick sand...how is he not a fantasy?  She wants Armando...OK..whatever?
  • When one of the kidnappers bring Sophia her vittles, she grabs a tray and hits him on the head.  Unfortunately, there is another kidnapper who herds her back into the shed with a gun.  Foiled again.
  • Fuzzy visits Peralta's office, but I don't know what was said.  Sorry.  Regina listens in.
  • Ricardo goes visits a bath house.  After he finishes talking to Peralta, he goes into the steam room and gets strangled by Mike Stone (who says one English word) and his goon.  Mike didn't appreciate being shot and left for dead in the middle of the ocean.
  • Anyways, back at the prison, it's the end for Patrick.  Peralta's goon offers him a cigarette and then stabs him in the gut.  Patrick dies on the floor.  Later when Sivanna shows up, she learns that Patrick is dead.  Peralta's goon tells her that Christian will die too if she opens her trap.  She gets it and mourns Patrick.
  • Nacu and that old witch chick confront that crazy chick about shoving Alexa into quick sand.  Crazy chick says that she's the only one who gets to know what's under that loin cloth.  Anyway, I think that she gets voted off of Isla Najiba.  She gets all pissed, goes into town and calls the Mexican police.
  • The "police" show up and one of them is a recycled actor.  The officer that questions Nacu about Alexa Ripoll was the manager of the boxing ring.  The same manager who ordered Lucas to take a fall.  Those sunglasses did not fool me.  Anyways, Nacu reluctantly tells Alexa to go home.  He tells her that if she wants to go back to the people who love her, he understands and forgives her.  Nacu wears the gold body art tattoos that women wear here and that's kind of a turn-off.  But I'll overlook it if it means that I can lift that loin cloth.
  • The family finds out that Alexa has been found and happy happy joy joy.
  • Regina gives the cops and fellas a clue that Peralta has a shipment going out.  Peralta personally checked the crates.  He never does that.  Sophia, along with a oxygen tank, has been put into a crate the size of a coffin.  Aldo oversees that "merchandise".  She screams to get out.
  • Mike Stone is at least 100 years old. Did I mention that?  OK, Dulliver is out jogging and Mike Stone chases him and is able to subdue him.  Anyways, Mike Stone sends a video of Dulliver to Peralta.  Peralta halts his trip and goes to an abandoned theater to meet Mike Stone.
  • After reviewing the thumb drive, Fuzzy determines that Peralta is an international drug trafficker wanted by every country in the world.
  • At the theater, Mike Stone's goon will only allow Peralta to enter alone.  They put the spotlight on the stage and lower Dulliver head first from the ceiling.  Mike tells Peralta that he would have never betrayed him.  Mike doesn't appreciate being shot and left for dead.  Peralta tells Mike to kill him, not Dulliver.  Mike slits Dulliver's throat (censored) and hands Peralta a gun so that he can kill himself.
  • Meanwhile, the cops spot Peralta's car and call in for back up.  Mike Stone hears the sirens and his men try to flee the scene.  Peralta goes to Dulliver and tells him to hang on.  He will get him down.  Dulliver tells Peralta that he is ashamed to be his son and he would rather die there upside down with his throat slit like a pig.  Peralta gets all depressed, picks up the gun and commits suicide.
  • Alexa arrives at the airport.  The family and the papparazi greet her.
  • Armando, Chava and the cops are at the warehouse.  Armando and Chava spot Aldo and grab him.  Aldo won't give up which box contains Sophia.  Regina spots the crates, Chava runs over, finds Sophia's crate.  At first she looks dead, but she takes a deep breath.  Hug and kisses all around.
  • The doctor releases Sophia immediately.  All she needs is rest and hydration.  Chava tells Sophia that Alexa is alive.
  • Alexa calls a press conference and tells the paps that years ago she made an adult film. Alan blackmailed her.  That's why she let the world believe that she was dead.  Armando stands up (stolen from the movie Notting Hill) and asks if she will agree to spend the rest of her life with him.  She runs over to him and the paps go crazy.  Sophia also steps forward.  Happy happy joy joy.
  • Nacu walks alone at the beach thinking of Cynderella.
  • Chava and Sophia visit Dulliver at the hospital.  He learns that his father killed his mother.
  • Four years later, Sophia is knocked up again and they have reopened the chocolate factory and named in Sofer.  Sophia + Franciso Fernandez.  Anyways, they have a ground breaking ceremony.  Regina works there and so does Dulliver.  Irais is the head of marketing.  Matias makes chocolate.
  • Silvana is walking down the street when some guy approaches her.  He introduces himself and she recognizes the name of her father.  She asks him why he abandoned the family.  He tells her that Octavio and Silvanna's mother had been having an affair long before he had married her.  He did not sire Silvanna and Christian.  They are the spawn of Octavio Ripoll.  He believes that Octavio sent the gun to her mother...not Greta.
  • Silvanna hightails it over to the Sofer party and tells the family that she and Christian are the spawn of Octavio.  She apologizes and tells Greta that she has nothing to fear from her.  The family struggles to believe it, but in the end Greta convinces them that Octavio was capable of anything.  Still, Silvanna and Christian will not be invited to any future family gatherings.
  • Silvanna goes to the prison and tells Christian that they too are Ripolls.  Christian's all grossed out because he was making out with his kid sister Dani.  Silvanna tells Christian that she is on her way to prison too.  She has confessed to the cops and so that he can get a reduced sentence.  Dani's kidnapping and the murder attempts on Greta were not Christians idea.
  • Chava is a famous race car driver.
  • For their 7th wedding anniversary, the family throws a party.  Everyone is there.  All you need to know is that Dulliver and Marisol will hook up in the future (told you they were swingers).  Regina has the Navy guy from Lo Que La Vida Me Robo...the one who married the stripper.  Lucas hair is still FUGLY.  Dani's hair was great.
  • They didn't show the kids, but Nandito is about 14, Sophia has a twin daughter and so does Irais.  Alexa is pregnant.  Paco's other daughter was there from Monterrey along with that guy.  Anyways, Chava and Sophia drive off into the sunset.

Hello Cyn, thank you very much for your recaps. They were very entertaining.

I'm going to be brief because this episode left me feeling pretty good. I felt it was very well done. The only hiccup i felt was the island snafu, which i felt wasn't necessary.

-I liked Chava rescuing his wife. I felt really bad for Sofia and i'm glad he came through for her, and they got some licks on Aldo.

-I felt the Anvils were appropriate. I figured Peralta's Anvil would have something to do with his son, but i didn't expect them to do it like this. Well Done! The writers scored a home run with that, well done!

-I like Armando standing up at the press conference surprising Alexa. Another scene that was well done!

-Arecily was looking good! I'm happy for her and her husband.

-I'm especially thrilled when paco finally proposed to Greta. For me, it was long time coming. It was very well done, and I was cheering when she said yes. About time!

-Lucas and that tie? C'mon man it's been years.

-Oliver and Marisol hooking up. It seemed pretty obvious, they didn't have to wait years for that to happen.

-it sucked that the translation was screwing up, and I hope people were able to enjoy it otherwise.

-Even the scene with Silvana and her father(forced as it was) closed some loopholes.

In closing, it's been fun talking with y'all and mayben i'll hook up with another TN later. Congrats to the writers for finally getting an episode right. Bravo!

Peace!

Thank you Cynderella for hanging in there even though it got tough for you in the end.

IMO, this finale sucked. I agree the whole Alexa/jungle/Alan/porno film storyline was completely unnecessary. I would've rather seen Patricio's demise a little more fleshed out. What was the point of revealing that Silvana and Cristian were Ripolls at this point?

I think everyone got what they deserved but way too many new characters were pulled in at the last minute. I believe Mike and the guy who shot him may have been seen during the few meetings held at Peralta's office? Not sure, just assuming.

Chava and Armando going through all those crates looking for Sofia reminded me of Let's Make a Deal. What's behind door number 3? Will you get Zonked?

I liked that Irais never got a makeover. You are beautiful just the way you are is the lesson here. yay

So the new company is named Sofer, I guess the sisters are no longer part owners?

Greta and Paco together, I'm still pissed they killed off Lupe

Armando and Alexa together of course but they could have stayed together from the point she finished that film with Paolo.

Dani and Lucas together. His new 'luke' was horrid. Wardrobe absolutely has no idea what teenthrobs wear nowadays. They should've let the actor pick out his own look, he probably would've done a better job. I'm an old lady and even I know this look is all wrong. The suit was ill-fitting, and that TIE! Poor guy looked miserable.

I loved Sofia's look in the final scenes. Her hair was beautful! As for Chava, I guess I really don't like DZ. I never have but he's never bugged me this much. I'm no fan of the original actor playing the part but at least he was convincing as a humble guy trying to make something of himself.

And what ever happened to little Benito? Did he end up in someone's barbacoa pit somewhere?

On to the next TN -- hope to see you all there!

Cynderella, thanks yet again for another amazing funny and snarky recap. Your tone was perfect for the final capítulo of a very long telenovela journey. You had me laughing at all of the "goings on" with your "Survivor Isla Najiba" and actually noticing there was a "recycled actor". What powers of observation!

The ending was satisfying: Patricio died a horrible death; Silvana and Christian found out they were Ripoll's; Peralta commited suicide. We got to jump ahead in time to see the future. Too bad the rest of the novela could not have been as action packed as the last two capítulos.

I am glad I did not drop out when I was tempted to because the gang on the patio made watching fun as they always do. See you all on the patio for another nivela some time!

Jarifa

Paquita, great comment about Benito! Very funny!

Jarifa

I've enjoyed & loved every minute of the 2-hour finale!

First, my final Dead Pool Hit List as of last night:
1.) Octavio
2.) Coria
3.) Counselo (Paco's 1st wife)
4.) Silvana's mother
5.) Silvana's baby
6.) Marisol's baby
7.) Renzi
8.) Manjarrez
9.) Javier
10.) Lupe :(
11.) Alan
12.) The plane staff
13.) Isadora:(
14.) Patrick (he knew his days were numbered once he opened his mouth in prison)
15.) Ricardo
16.) Peralta: Daddy Peralta pulling a Cesar Montesinos & killing himself was spot on!

Did you know the actor, who portrayed Mike Stone, used to on the 2004 TN Mujer de Madera as the plastic surgeon?

You are so funny Cynderella and I thank you for your commitment along with Paquita, xInt and emergency capper Jarifa. Thank you all.

"Who knew that jungle kings had foot fetishes!"

"jealous chick hears Nacu offering his loins to Alexa"

"Those sunglasses did not fool me."

"Nacu walks alone at the beach thinking of Cynderella."

I hoped for more of an anvil for Peralta who took the cowards way out. Felt really bad for Oliver who's only crime was being his son. Dude got cheated on and throat slit.

Marisol looked really pretty.

Hard time figuring out all the kids running around.

No Irma, boohoo, bye bye Irma.

Thank you Cynderella for recapping this stimulating gran final.

"OK, Um... my fantasy man would be kissing half-naked Nancu in the pool but whatever!" (Fave.)

tofie, I guess Irma was serious about her self-banishment. Good on her.

I LOVED Araceli's long hair and dress.

Those chafiretes at Looneyvision HQ pulled out the scissors on Fausto, Jughead and the kids (I loved Irais JRette.)

Paquita- I don't think Irais was ever meant to be seen as ugly haha. Sure she had braces, glasses, an awkward dressing style and that hair but she came off as adorable.

There are two alternate ending BTW. They both have to do with ArmieUncleJesse and AlexaKimmieGibbler.

Thank you Cyn! I thoroughly enjoyed all your fun recaps for this tn.

I am so glad some folks enjoyed this finale. I do like that we got flashes forward and got to see how some people's lives turned out.

But I didn't like how disjointed it felt. I thought the drama with Peralta's out of the blue associates was dumb. We've never seen these guys before, so who cares. The island drama was stupid. My thinking is that the Irma actress had to go on to something else, but they already had her lines for the finale written, so they gave them to Jealous Jungle Girl instead.

Caught that police guy was boxing guy. But I guess Televisa only have so many black actors that they give speaking lines to on retainer. LOL!

It took seven years for Ollie and Marisol to even think about hooking up? Yeah, right.

What has Alexa been doing with herself all these years? I laughed when the reporters asked why the heck was she telling them about a porno none of them knew about. Uhm, no one cares, Alexa.

Peralta's and Pato's ends were too quick and easy. Meh.

Glad Ollie survived. It should be noted that he gave Sofia the land that the new chocolate factory was built on.

Also, after their latest win, Chava and Armando were retiring to train younger race car drivers (and to continue to make more babies). That was cool.

A few more things-

So, it looks like Rosa got with Cuco (I feel as if and wouldn't be surprised if either Javier or Cuco were Lucas' father the whole time. Was there ever a Lucas and Pops flashback? Hmmmm...)

Loved Dani's hair (Jade Fraser in general is gorgeous)

Marisol and Oliver; who didn't see it coming?

Greta and Paco; they were our excuse to end this show with a wedding and didn't use it; IDK how I feel about that.

I'll be back later but for now, I tip my hat off to Xlnt, Cynde, Paquita and last but not least, Madeleine (RIP.)

Cynderella,

Thanks for this perfectly hilarious last recap for this rather herky-jerky hodgepodge of a gran final of a somewhat less than perfect yet nonetheless entertaining TN.

Huge thanks to Paquitadelbarrio and xint as well as Cynderella for faithfully keeping us abreast of the goings-on and to Jarifa for filling in the gaps and even providing us with pretty much complete recaps in the comments when needed. You ladies are tops. I'm just sorry that I was not as regular a commenter as I would have liked to (and should) have been although I didn't miss a single episode or recap.

My favorite line from your delicious recap Cynderella:

"Nacu walks alone at the beach thinking of Cynderella."

I've no doubt that the whole reason for the little island excursion was to give you a chance to become acquainted with the the talented Nacu.

I didn't think that David Zepeda could be more irritating than he was as the needy sniveling Ricky in MPV but he managed to outdo himself here.

And just as Nacu was presented purely for Cynderella's benefit, Irma (who seemed to be universally annoying to everyone else), must have been placed in this solely for my enjoyment.

Carlos

Corazon- Lucas' dad died when he was a baby, so no flashbacks. Rosa was so broken up about his death, she left, and left baby Lucas with Dominga. So no. No reason to think he wasn't Lucas' dad. I don't know why the writers didn't actual show us the romance blossoming between Cuco and Rosa. We could see that's where their friendship was going, and in the time jump they were clearly a couple.

Vivi- You're totally right about Rosa and Cuco; he had a job at his place with her name on it and evidently a place in his life. They're one of the more interesting couples if you think about it. Also, I think you meant Miguelina instead of Dominga and I'm a little anal about that because the actress Maria Prado played a villainess named Dominga in a previous Nicandro Diaz novela haha (MEPS.)

Yes. Miguelina. I have Sombra on the brain. :) I Remeber this actress' slovenly Dominga from MEPS who held Aurora captive her whole life.

Then that slovenly DamDumDom done died in an explosion haha.

Ends of villains:

Patrício ( ends with a desfigured face by acid , Góes to jail, dies in prision, killed by El Don )
Silvana ( ends alone )
Cristian( ends up in jail )
Peralta ( comitts suicide )

I love this end, I wanted that Silvana goes to jail by your mistakes.

Thank you Cynderella! You had the perfect snark and sarcasm for the ending of this TN.

Most of the finale was pretty good, but I thought the scene at the anniversary party was way TOO LONG!

Peralta's end was satisfying to me. He died thinking his son had been killed because of Peralta's evil deeds and knowing that his son hated him for it. That last long shot of Oliver suspended from the ceiling and Peralta dead on the stage was really unsettling. Too much blood.

I hated every bit of the "Alexa becomes a native" storyline. It would have been much more satisfying to see her afloat at sea and wonder if she'd survive. Alexa then could have washed up on a surfing beach or been found by a fishing boat. The acting by Naku was just painful and had all the subtlety of Me Tarzan, You Jane. I did get a big laugh over Alexa fessing up to a porno video that she NEVER MADE (since it was a body double) and all the press going, "What?". In the real world TMZ would be searching all over looking for the video.

The big failing of this TN was that they had to bring in other characters at the last minute to "solve the mystery". Without Regina, Chava and Armie still wouldn't know their asses from their elbows. And without Mike Stone (Cynderella, I don't remember him either, or the other guy for that matter) Peralta would have continued in his evil ways for years.

And where the hell was Silvana's "papa" all those years? Nobody tried to track him down after their crazy mother killed herself and left two minor children all alone? He could have 'fessed up then that they weren't his kids, but Octavio's. And why did they make such a big deal in the early episodes to show Octavio as a doting father that the girls adored, when he really was just a dirtbag? And Greta knew it.

Did anybody else notice that at the opening for the new factory Chava and Armando were nowhere to be seen? My husband noticed it and said, "Shouldn't Chava be inserting himself all over this scene?"

I also noticed that the kid with Sofia at Chava's talk show appearance looked to be 4 or 5 years old while Nandito, who was watching from home, hadn't aged at all.

I wish Irma would have come back. She was my favorite character.

You left out Morgana, who was working with Peralta!

It appears that Mike Stone fled the country! Looked he was going to the rodeo with that Stetson hat!

Xlnt: I'm glad we didn't see Irma's face again because I HATED that psycho woman, she deserved to be exiled from everyone!

On Chava & Armando not being at the new company opening: they were busy in winning the latest NASCAR race!

On Octavio: He was a dirt bag & was evil just like Peralta!

Greta married Paco after over 30 years: ABOUT TIME!

On Oliver & Marisol being together: this was a foregone conclusion once Dani & Lucas hooked back up!

Otherwise, it was a very good Gran Final!

Fasten your seatbelt Dulliver, Marisol is a wild little mink now.

Thank You to all the fabulous recappers. It would not have been this great an experience without you all.

Watching the Fin, was really sad, knowing that I am saying goodbye to all these (I know they are fake) people I have grown to love and hate for an hour each weeknight.

Thank you all other commenters too. What a fun show because of us all. Goodbye Sofia Goodbye Grreta

kirbo

Thanks, Cynderella. Your recaps were always a blast. My fave: she declares that Alexa won't ever get to lift that loin cloth - too funny.

I'm okay with the ending, but I wish they had spent more time on Pato's demise. A knife to the gut was just too swift.

Sofia was pretty good in these last two episodes. At least she never gave up and tried to escape twice.

I remember Mike Stone at an early cartel meeting as the American chiding Peralta with the old cliché "time is money."

Nice to see Aracely not being annoying.

I didn't even notice Aracely even being there.

Glad Irma never came back.

We never did get Chava & Sofia's kids' names, did we?

Why were the jungle people running around in the jungle, but knew who Alexa was enough to call the police?

"Without Regina, Chava and Armie still wouldn't know their asses from their elbows." (Fave, Xlnt.)

They wouldn't know their wenis from their penis either.

Univision was a disappointment because the English captioning was off for large parts of the show. Since they had so many technical problems, I think Univision should reshow the episode on Sunday evening with the English captions working properly.

Daniela/Lucas and Marisol/Oliver reminded me of Illiana/Borlas and Marianela/Daniel in PSMA.

Once again, thanks to all the recappers. Especially the finalmente (due to the technical difficulties). Gobluefan: I'm with you re the reshowing of the finalmenter with the subtitles fixed.
Well, I like the fin of this tn and the 2 hrs they gave to answer all the questions we have. and for added bonus, what irony to add that the evil siblings were a Ripoll! And Silvana was probably really sorry that she connived with Patricio and Peralta to bring down what could have given her and Chris inheritance. Talk about poetic justice.
I was amazed at the stunning beauty of Whiny mousy Aracely.
Yeah, after 7 years, after seeing Irma's son whine and cry, they could have shown him as a handsome teenager and no longer crybaby.
Like I said, Im satisfied by the way they did the ending. NOt hurried and everyone got their Karma except I guess, Estrella who I love very much when he does evil characters.Anne

Hi everyone,

Since all of you are already used to tuning into Univision at 9pm M to F, I invite you to keep on doing it and to join me and the rest of the Lo Imperdonable recapping team as we begin our journey recapping what is shaping up to be a much better than expected Salvador Mejia production, judging from the first four weeks already broadcast in Mexico. See you there.

LatinaInMD

With Monica Miguel as one of the directors, Lo Imperdonable should be a not-so-bad Mejia production. Let's hope.

Kirby: I'm guessing that the producers didn't have time to give anvils for Morgana & Mike!

At least we got to see Silvana & Cristian's anvils as it was revealed they were Octavio's devil spawns!

KARMA!

Especially Morgana. Evil bitch needed a big anvil. Poor Isadora finally overcame the booze for the love of her son In Spite of Peralta and gets the injection anyway.

WOW what a story. I will remember this one for a long time. These Spanish TNs can really get you sometime. I watched MCET from beginning to end and just felt like it was a waste of time.
kj

Great Summary of a too disconnected, too meandering Hasta finale.
The writers seems to hate Julian Gill (Patricio). He increasingly is dying a disfigured death. If I am not mistaken he died in Sortelegio with the final shot of green decomposing body. Here he landed up quite disfigured and then murdered.

Alexa should have stayed on the Island despite the language and cultural challenges. As Carlos said:"I've no doubt that the whole reason for the little island excursion was to give you a chance to become acquainted with the the talented Nacu"
Alexa would had lots more fun discovering the hidden treasures under Nacu's loin cloth -- to say what the island marriage rituals would have revealed. Nacu had more than a toe fetish.

Paquita and xlnt - Would any of you be interested in joining the Lo Imperdonable recapping team?

Starting the second day after the final and only thirty comments? I
was expecting at least twice that many when you consider that this was a pretty good novela, not a classic but most enjoyable overall. The only week spot was David Zepeda but it wasn't the shows fault that Pedro Fernandez left the production.

Thank you recappers Cynderella--Paquita--Xlnt and Jarifa for filling in at times. With these fine recappers alone, I would expect more comments.

Well I will add my thoughts to the thirty count if Blogger will
let them stay posted.

Cynderella a great recap on your part to wrap this one up. You always manage to bring a few laughs. These lines did it for me.

But as usual Dulliver is useless and of no help to anyone. Also Survivor on Isla Najiba also did
it for me.

Like most who have already commented, I has ok and for the most part happy with the ending. Not really any big complaints. Yes, one could pick on a few small things but why bother? In the overall scheme of things, it was pretty good.

Steve---I didn't realize that there were so many people in the death pool.

And Carlos---I guess that you were disappointed that Irma didn't come back, at least once.
I kept thinking that she would come back for a short visit just to see Nandito whom she fought so hard to keep in her custody.

I was hoping that we would get to see the little pig Benito? again
but it wasn't meant to be.

More later when I can get all of my thoughts together.

My Dead Pool Hit List for this TN reached 16 people dead!

On Marisol & Oliver: we both agreed those 2 were obviously going to end up together once Dani & Lucas hooked back up!

Surprised it took 7 years for Marisol & Oliver to be a couple.

Not shocked that Paco finally got the girl of his past, Greta!

Steve- Deaths that occur before the tn starts or are from natural causes aren't really part of a death list for the tn. For example, Octavio and Paco's wife don't count as we never really met them, and both died of natural causes as far as we know. Even Chava's dad died of natural causes.

Mauricio, Thank you for the invite but I'll pass. I start working again next week and I don't think I'll have the time.

As for the CCs, they've been pretty good and pretty reliable for most of this TN. Unfortunately the CCs for Que Te Perdone... have quite often been very much the same as they were for this final episode. I'm guessing that since there was no Que Te Perdone... episode Fri that the lousy CCer for that show offered to fill in for both hours... unfortunately it was the most critically important episode. By the way, for what it's worth, complaints about the CCs to my local Univision customer representative have seemed to help in the past. We know that they can be good so there's really no excuse for the not being consistently good.

" Christian's all grossed out because he was making out with his kid sister Dani."

Awhile back (April 23), I asked this:

"Do we know who Cristián's daddy is? Has anyone suggested the possibility that he and Dani are siblings?"

Turns out it really wasn't a very important part of the story, but at the time I thought that it could have been.

Carlos

The look on Cristian's face when Silvana told him they were Octavio's kids was PRICELESS!

Psycho dude was feeling up on his half sister, Dani, which was GROSS!

A few more gringo thoughts.

I totally missed Aracely and her husband in the big party scene at the end. Aracely had been out of the picture for a while and so when I saw a couple that I didn't
immediately recognize it went right over my head. I was focusing
on the guy with glasses? so maybe that's why I missed her. I will have to watch that part again.

Dani's new look---Jade Frasier looks good in any hair style. The three Ripoll sisters were all great---yes even crazy Alexa, I did like her. A little loopy but overall a good person.

Lucas---Most people didn't like his hippy hair look. That was fine with me but the suit and ugly off color blue tie, yuck. Someone said he would have done better if he had picked out his own wardrobe. I agree.

Dulliver got his throat slit but I didn't see any scar at all. QUE?

Bad girl Morgana in her crazy looking military outfit got away with all of her evil. Isadora's murder was partly her fault, she was an accomplice but didn't get an anvil. Oh well if she keeps up her evil maybe that anvil will catch her in her next novela.

And speaking of the next novela. A lot has been said about Mejia productions. I don't care! I'm not going to pass up Ana Brenda no matter what. Also, Grettell Valdez was in the first novela that I ever saw and I haven't seen her since. Sergio Sendel is also cast in Lo Imperdonable and he is always good so the gringo is in for the start of this new one next Monday.

As for Hasta el Fin del Mundo, it's been fun.
the gringo

WOW! What a shock. Christian and Silvana were both Ripolls. Boy did they miss out.

My wife, Alicia liked DZ, who she thought, did a good job portraying Chava!

Gringo: Both Silvana & Cristian brought it all on themselves! Too little, too late!

Grettell Valdez was on the most recent TN with Jacqueline Boyer last year, forgot the name of it. But Grettell was crazy in that one too.

Araceli & Pedro were both at the party because I easily spotted them out when Paco & Greta greeted them.

Sophia & Araceli finally got along & buried the hatchet!

Alexa: Loopy (check), porn star in Spain (check), jungle girl on some island (check) & preggers with Armando's baby (check)!

Anyone noticed Marisol's hair looked different ? Dying it blonde!

OK, so the alternate endings both had to do with Alexa and Armando.

One had Alexa giving birth to a beautiful baby girl

The second had Alexa's baby born dead.

Corazon: That's not good on the 2nd alternate ending:(

I will miss these recaps so much! I can't tell you how much joy they have given me. Thank you Cynderella for your hilarious observations and asides. I thought the island cop looked familiar! And I knew I'd seen a guy declare his love for an actress at a press conference before!

I was cracking up at Alexa being the idiot that she is telling the press about a porno she never made that no one saw! The reporters reactions were hilarious! Come on Alexa! Alan died along with that porno.

I see some people hated the finale and others loved it. For me it was ok. I would have liked to see Peralta suffer more but I do think seeing his son suffer then tell him he was ashamed of him was pretty good. It seemed like Oliver died so I'm sure Peralta was supposed to think that and that's why he killed himself. I was very relieved to see Oliver made it. It was sad when Chava told him they both had mom's murdered by the same guy in common.

I'm disappointed we didn't get to see Morgana get her anvil and more of the kids. Araceli should have had a bigger appearance, had I blinked I would have missed her and Pedro. We also didn't get to see Paco and Greta actually get married. I'm glad it's all over but I will miss all the commenters. Take care everyone! Not sure if I want to watch Imperdonable so you may see me commenting again.

Y ole' !!!

1:39 AM and I jump on the, "Peralta Deserved a Bigger Anvil and Isadora shouldn'tve died" bandwagon. He should have been in jail being tormented and then visited by Isadora only to have Fine Pinot Grigio or Cuban Cigars dumped; think Espanto, Anibal Balvanera and Odette Longoria from Amores Verdaderos. Let's not forget the PORK written on his forehead.

Flaco- Bienvenido!

Steve- What made that ending all the worse was the cheery music that played after it (and Alexa's horror shrieks) was over. I personally thought it was going to be something hilariously frivolous like Alexa somehow giving birth to a baby with Irma's head attached through CGI (think George Lopez on his show during flashbacks.)

Corazon: if that had happened, I would've laughed so hard if Alexa gave birth to a baby with Irma screeching at her!

I"m fine with Peralta's anvil. He claimed he did everything for his son; he saw Mike Stone string his son up in the air like a pig and slit his throat and the last thing he heard his son say was he'd rather die than live with being his son.

No son, no reason to live. The only greater punishment would've been for Oliver to really die and he get sent to jail with the image of dead Oliver strung up like a pig to torment him. But he probably would've killed himself in jail too if somebody didn't get him first.

Anon207: I too was super satisfied with Peralta's anvil: KARMA!

Univision censored lots of graphic stuff on this TN:
1.) Renzi's horrific death in the car.
2.) Manjarrez's throat slit completely open.
3.) Mike's hired gun slitting Oliver's throat while Peralta watched.

Best part of the Gran Final was the newspaper articles detailing all of the crimes Peralta & Co., committed!

I hope it's not too late but I forgot to ask. I didn't understand the name of the new chocolate factory Sofer. Sophia +
Francisco Fernandez. I must have missed it somewhere along the way.
Who is/was Francisco Fernandez.
the gringo

Gringo- Don Paco, Sofia's daddy, is Francisco Fernandez. Paco is the nickname for Francisco.

Thanks Vivi

But Irma was there - she was seated at the end of the table with shorter hair, when the cameras panned she kept looking up.

Mike Stone and the bad boys were constantly mentioned with the phone calls Peralta would make at the beginning, he always seemed to be reporting in, and then it stopped. No actual meetings but phone calls.

I actually loved how true it was when Sofia was lifted from the crate, it felt so real.

I don't know why they decided to turn this into the Alexa and Armando show. If you noticed it was Armando who took the lead, it was Armando who calmed Chava down and came up with scenarios. I wonder what happened that made the writers mix this up.

But I thought it was cheesy how Peralta killed himself. His son said a few words and this man who has killed so many others, kills himself? A man like that would still try to get to his son, not kill himself

Anon, you're saying Armando pretty much solved the entire case!

Thank you Anon for pointing that out on the cast, who showed up on Hoy this afternoon!
