Lo Imperdonable #4 Thu 5/21/15 Love at first sight and other thundering feelings

Refrito: Martin and Alfredo talk about Martin’s need to seek out justice and avenge Demetrio.
Every time I hear Martin compare his younger brother to a son, I get a creepy vibe. The guy was 8 years younger, it’s not like you changed his diapers, dude!

The new stuff: The Prado Castello’s talk about the indigenous jewelry line. Virginia thinks it’s a bad idea, no fancy buyer would ever want to wear something as old-fashioned and tacky. Before giving an opinion, Salma wants to know if this was her son’s idea, or Veronica’s. Jorge thinks it’s a great suggestion, the perfect way for them to honor their ancestry. Emiliniño is happy that dad likes the idea. They start discussing the designs, they want to use Maya civilization as inspiration first. Salma says that she and Virginia should leave now, since business talk doesn’t concern them.
Virginia is not happy with the outcome of the discussion and when she and her tia are alone, she starts complaining about once again Veronica getting her way. Salma is happy that Emiliniño is interested in business, but Virginia “makes her see” that this is not a good thing, since it will only mean that Veronica gets to spend more time with him, while pretending to be interested in working together. He will turn to what interests him the most – his Hispanic art, and Veronica will be left in charge of the business. Salma sees the point (of course she does) and when Virginia turns to tears, she starts consoling the poor baby. Boohoo, Emiliniño will have no time to spend with me; boohoo, whenever Veronica sees that I like something, she gets in the way.

Martin and Claudia are at his office; she brings him a list of the calls he got while he was away (she is his secretary). Martin wants to talk about what happened the other night. He brings up how back in the day they broke up because he was too busy with work and trying to take care of his brother; he didn’t have enough time for her and he’s sorry about it. But she understands all that now and reprimands herself for not being there for him when he most needed it, choosing to break-up instead. He thinks they were both so young (she was in high school, he in college) it was only natural that she wanted to have fun, not be with someone who had so many responsibilities. He felt bad for a while after the break-up, but all is now in the past and he doesn’t want her to read too much into what happened the other night.
Claudia obviously doesn’t want bygones to be bygones, so she reminds him of how much he helped her when her dad was sick and with getting her a job in his company. She was just trying to console him when they kissed.
Yes, but nothing more can come of that, they are only friends now and Martin doesn’t want her to nurture any type of feelings for him. If that is the case, maybe it would be more prudent if she found another job, that he could help secure.
Claudia back peddles – she knows that they’re only friends and she’s fine with it. She only kissed him as a form of comfort, but they can both forget about it now. Great, Martin agrees, because there is no room in his life for love right now. What about that commitment that he said he had? Martin won’t share the details, suffice it to say that it has nothing to do with love, and there is no room for that feeling in what he plans to do. How about if they got back to work now?

In Mina Escondida Magdalena is on the street, watching two little girls play. She remembers a little girl for her past and how they used to play together when she was about 5 or 6 years old. She is obviously hurt and wonders out loud where her daughter could be.

Manuel finds the romantic book that Ana Perla has been reading. He reads a paragraph out-loud and discovers it is a kissing scene. He starts yelling at his sister and he shoves her, threatening to tell the Abuelo all about it. Magdalena intervenes to help Ana Perla, but Manuel treats her even worse, calling all women a good for nothing nuisance. Botel shows up and tries to put Manuel in his place, demanding that he respect women. To no avail, though, Manuel has the Abuelo’s permiso to “take care of” Ana Perla. He grabs her and leaves with her. Botel asks Magdalena to stay away from Manuel, since he’s a dangerous drunk. Magda is rather shaken up by the confrontation, Manuel’s bad temper reminded her of the calvario that a man put her and her daughter through back in the day.

Virginia asks Salma if she managed to talk to el tio, to convince him to get Veronica out of the house. After all, Veronica is NOT family, while she, Virginia, is, even if she’s only the daughter of a cousin by marriage or something. Salma says that she hasn’t had any luck, yet, but she’s not giving up. She hugs poor Virginia.

When she arrives home at night, Veronica finds Virginia in her room, waiting for her in the dark. Vero doesn’t like it when she finds someone in her room, but Virginia’s attack is more direct: she calls Veronica a hypocrite, who only wants Emiliniño for his money. Oh, but Virginia is on to her and no lo va a permitir. Veronica calls her crazy, suggests that maybe Virginia could get close to him, too, if they worked together.
No, Virginia doesn’t have to prove anything to anyone, she’s not interested in the company or the money. Veronica calls her a good for nothing mosca muerta, who doesn’t mind always having to depend on others. Virginia sees Salma come in and starts to cry.
Salma wants to know what happened and immediately takes Virginia’s side: how can Veronica treat her so badly, doesn’t she know that Virginia is sick? Can’t she just stop being such an aggressive rebel and behave? She will have to talk to Jorge about this.
Salma and Virginia then go, leaving Veronica alone, rolling her eyes in disbelief.
When her nana comes in, Veronica explains how insufferable Virginia can get and how she always uses her disease as an excuse to do nothing. Nana Mati thinks that Vero should just stay away from Virginia, who is Salma’s favorite. After all, she has el tio and Emiliniño in her corner, right?

Manuel drags Ana Perla home. Abuelo is playing chess with a friend (what’s his name?) but promptly sends Ana Perla to her room, when he finds out that Manuel found her… READING!! (gasp). He wants to burn the book, too, but Ana Perla says that it’s not hers, she found it. After threatening to lock her up in a monastery, Abuelo allows Manuel to escort the girl to her room, while showing how proud he is of grand-son for taking care of his sister. The girl needs to be kept away from temptation! His chess buddy disagrees with this type of behavior, but he doesn’t do much about it, except say that maybe Manuel needs some discipline, too. No, Sir, Manuel is the good one, Abuelo declares, while winning the chess game. Darn!

Later in her room, Ana Perla is crying and talking to God. Julio knocks at the door, asks if she’s hungry. He even offers to fix her something himself, if she doesn’t want to bother the cook. But Ana Perla is too sad to eat; she thanks him and asks him to leave before Abuelo sees him – she doesn’t want him to get in trouble, too.
Julio is smitten, he has love and devotion written all over his face, while holding a pendant necklace. (Did I miss a scene? What is this all about?) When will Ricardo Franco get a better role? I want to see him as the galan!

Martin is at home, boiling in his own hatred, once again reading Demetrio’s letter and thinking about his meet with Virginia. He swears revenge.

Nancyaga is once again bathing in the lake, when she sees Ospin. He is shirtless and about to take a dive when Nancy shows her face. He gets nervous, since she’s apparently naked, but she doesn’t seem to care. He asks where the new patron is.
Nancyaga thinks the new patron is hurting and she sees a storm approaching.

The next morning Martin is eating breakfast, while reading the newspaper. He sees an unnecessarily huge article about Emiliniño Prado Castello’s welcome home party and takes a vengeful sip of coffee.

Vero is in the kitchen, taking care of last minute party planning. Nana Mati comes in, asking about the place cards Salma put her in charge of. Vero forgot all about them, but she’s spring by the office to grab them. Her palm still stings after the problem she had with Sanson, but someone helped her, so nothing worse came of it.
And who might that someone be, nana asks. Some unmarried young and rich handsome fellow? (Good to know what the nana wants for her girl). Vero doesn’t even know the guy’s name, but she did hear that she was an engineer and he is guapisimo! They met at the club, so maybe she will run into him there again. Nana is happy to see Vero show interest for something other than work. Vero smiles - she has to agree that she did feel something special when she saw him (For those of you wondering what she felt, they are called slow motion instant telenovela butterflies).

At his office, Martin asks Claudia to pay for his club subscription. She gives him a book that apparently is very hard to find. He has to leave in a hurry, without saying what he plans to do for the rest of the day. Claudia is pretty much ignored, which is a feeling she should get used to.

The party preparations are very elaborate: the family garden has been decorated, there are fancy appetizers, white tablecloths, the whole nine yards.
Salma is in her room, getting ready, but is worried because Veronica hasn’t showed up, yet. Doesn’t she know that today is all about Emiliniño and his party? Jorge explains that he sent her to the office with some last minute business. Vero arrives just then, with the place cards, but instead of saying “thank you” Salma whines that Veronica is not dressed yet. Vero sighs – OK, she will put on a dress, even if she’s sure that tia won’t like it. (She is now wearing a casual, yet very nice blouse and skirt outfit, that would work just fine for a garden party, but what do I know – I’m not rich, I don’t throw unnecessarily pretentious garden parties)
Salma is unhappy with the way Vero talked back and she complains to Jorge about it, also mentioning how much she upset poor Virginia the night before. Jorge is in no mood for this now, why don’t they focus on the party for today and talk about the rest tomorrow?

Martin shows up at the party, pretending not to know about it – he’s just “dropping by” to give Emiliniño a gift. Nana Mati lets Salma know that someone who is not on the guest list has arrived.
While waiting to see if he can join the party, Martin looks around and who does he meet? None other than Veronica (wearing a white dress), who is outside taking care of the parking valets. She sees him first and smiles from ear to ear, but when he sees her!!!
Oh my God, Ivan Sanchez can sell a scene when he puts his mind to it!!
Martin’s face brightens like he’s been in the desert for a month and Veronica is his fresh oasis. They are both happy to see each other and they introduce themselves as Martin and Veronica (no last name). And then he kisses her hand and does this thing where he closes his eyes for a bit, like he is taking in the moment. I don’t know about Veronica, or Ana Brenda for that matter, but I’m melting at the speed of instant telenovela butterflies. I love him!

Emiliniño is in the office, gazing at pictures of Veronica. Virginia comes searching for him. He doesn’t seem too pleased with the party, but Virginia praises his good looks, waiting for the same favor in return (she’s wearing a bright pink dress and a thin childlike head band!!!) She even does a pirouette to draw his attention, stumbling a little bit. This could be the actress’ fault, but she pulls it off by making it seem like this is Virginia’s way of showing how innocence she is. I do find Emiliniño a little un-chivalrous here, because he just says “thanks” when it would have been very easy for him to at least say “you look very nice, too”. He eventually does say it, after Virginia drags the compliment out of his mouth, but she’s unhappy that his words are so lackluster.
He doesn’t get what the big deal is , why does he have to say that she’s gorgeous, since he is sure that she has plenty of admirers just for that. Oh, no, Virginia whines, Veronica is the one who has all the men at her feet, she is the one who is always the center of attention. Emiliniño gets upset - can Virginia explain whatever does she mean with such words. (Menacing background thunder – but this is mostly an eye roll moment for me, not worthy of any sound effects).
Virginia didn’t mean no harm, she only wanted to say that Veronica is so beautiful, all men find her attractive. Yes, Emiliniño agrees, but none of it is intentional and Virginia made it sound like Veronica was a lanzada (shameless flirt). Oh, no, Virginia didn’t mean that, she’s just upset because Emiliniño ignores her so much, especially since she can’t spend that much time with him because of her enfermedaaad.
Salma shows up, asking Emiliniño about a guy who just showed up, but is not on the invite list. She says his name and her son recognizes his good friend Martin San Telmo, which he just met 24 hours ago. He goes to greet him.

Left with the tia, Virginia turns on the whining machine: she doesn’t know how to get close to Emiliniño the way Veronica so easily does. She put so much effort into being pretty tonight and he didn’t even notice. Can’t he see how much she luuuvs him? There, there, the tia tries to cheer her up. Her son is preoccupied with the party and working for his father right now, but he will come around.
Jorge comes to the office to ask about the stranger who showed up uninvited. Oh, yeah, Salma explains, it turns out it is a friend of their son’s.

Back with Martin and Veronica, he explains that he didn’t know about the party, he just came to give Emiliniño something. So the two of them meeting like this is a sign of destiny working its magic.
She thanks him for helping with Sanson. He thinks that she was in serious danger, trying to tame such a powerful animal. But Veronica has another opinion on the matter: the horse was just scared, that’s why he was so aggressive. But if she showed him enough love, he would calm down. Saying that these words foreshadow what is to come between these two is an understatement. Martin doesn’t think that people can be tamed as easily, but Vero disagrees again – love can do it all.
Martin is impressed! Never in his life has he met a woman like her. Veronica admits, not without pride, that she is different. But what about him? She’s never seen him at the club before. Well, he just signed up the other day, he liked everything that he saw there. How about the fencing utilities, did he like those? Oh yes, he did, fencing and riding are his favorite hobbies.
Knock me with a feather, Veronica feels the same. The two are so sweetly smitten with one another, it’s a surprise they can still hold it together and not burst into song.

Emiliniño arrives, interrupting the magic connection and inviting Martin to stay on at the party. He happily accepts and Emiliniño introduces his prima: Veronica Prado Castello. Martin’s face drops, while Emiliniño explains how Vero is the treasure of the family. Martin gets his act together enough to hand Emiliniño his gift, which the guy accepts happily. A dude giving another dude a gift after they just met – now that is something you don’t see every day. Martin has an ulterior motive, but what is Emilinino’s excuse? Is the guy starving for friends so much?
The gift turns out to be a book on fencing, which both Emiliniño and Veronica love. Martin offers to buy Veronica another one, death gleaming in his eyes and in what is left of his compassionate, revenge-free soul.
Jorge, Salma and Virginia show up and introductions are made all around. Salma rudely asks Veronica to take care that Martin is seated at a table. Vero elegantly ignores the offense, saying that she did offer to help the tia with the party and adding that Martin will be seated at the family table. I thought that Virginia would be all over organizing a party for her beloved, but she’s not even capable of being a good Suzy homemaker to impress Salma. What is this girl good at, except intriguing and whining all the time?
Veronica leaves to make the necessary arrangements, while Jorge asks Virginia and Emiliniño to take care of the guest.

In an aside with his wife, Jorge says that he doesn’t like that someone they don’t know will be in their home; they are living dangerous times and the guy is a perfect stranger to them. Salma doesn’t see the harm, he is their son’s friend and his business card says that he’s a respectable engineer and a business owner. Jorge is still not too pleased. I guess Martin won’t have a fan in tio Prado Castello.

Left alone, Martin is now tormented by doubt. Who is the V that he’s looking for? Virginia or Veronica? Let it not be Veronica, he pleads with God.

Alone with Virginia, Emiliniño reproaches her the bad way that she and Salma are treating Veronica, like she was part of the help and not a rightful member of their family. Virginia quickly tries to put all the blame on her beloved tia, but Emiliniño is not impressed, he really dislikes the bad treatment that Vero gets from his mom and his prima.
Virginia disagrees, they both treat Veronica very well! It is Veronica who doesn’t like them. But everybody seems to love her regardless, even if she is nothing like she appears to be! Whatever do you mean, Emiliniño inquires. Well, see for yourself, Virginia offers, you will get an ugly surprise with Veronica. She has done some terrible things in the past.
What? Emiliniño menacingly asks (and the thunder strikes again, but it’s not the type to put in danger the garden party).

Preview:
Pablo is against announcing his and Mariana’s engagement
Martin investigates the two V’s. While dancing with Virginia, she mentions how Veronica is always the center of attention. How about her, Martin asks: is she interested by the material things in life? Oh, no, not at all, all that Virginia cares about are feelings and such… Ha, great P.I. skills, Martin! Like she would tell a perfect stranger if she were a whiny gold-digger & nasty letter-writing liar.
With Veronica, she asks if he has news about Demetrio Silveira. She adds that Demetrio chose to do something and we all have to take responsibility for our own decisions. Martin jumps at her and starts to strangle her but this has to happen in his head, right?

Adriana- So good to be reading one of your great recaps again! I loved all your snarky asides. :)

Salma's snide complaints about Vero are so stupid and ridiculous, I don't understand why her husband doesn't do more to put a stop to it.

Emiliano earns some points for calling Virginia on her behavior, but the thunder claps tell us he's just one snide lie away from believing Vero is a ho, and turning crazy jealous. We know our galan is already going to be acting like a nutcase. Does the secondary galan also need to be a jerk?

Loved the moment between Vero and Martin. Wish we had more of that before he realized that she's a possible target for his revenge.

I loved the episode too, i like how this one does not drag and gets straight to the point. Botel was quite the hero when he stopped the jerk Manuel( Who need's enemies with a sleazebag family like this?)

I was a bit angered when Abuelo did nothing against Mauel, the other French guy was right in Manuel needing more stricter action, perhaps the belt too.

"Emilnino" LOL, Emil is still badass but im fearing that he will reach his creepy manic possesive state very soon cause when you see a pithed off Sergio Sendel you better run to the darkest corner possible!
Im sort of hoping Emil is not the most crazy one in this novela and is only a red harring for Osvaldo De Leon's appearance. That way Emil & Martin could make one badass best friend duo against the real monster!

Whst did Viewerville make of V-snake's veiled warning to Emil about V2 not being all she seemed? Is Vera too good to be true? When Emil first arrived he joked with her about having a LOTS of boyfriends. Was that significant?,

Enjoyed your recap so much, Adriana. This was just one of your great lines: "The two are so sweetly smitten with one another, it’s a surprise they can still hold it together and not burst into song."

We've seen Ana Brenda play several bright and determined young women, so she's true to form here. What disease does Virginia have? Her primary complaint seems to be self-pity, expressed with lots of whining. I already tried to slap her through the screen, but couldn't reach her smirking face.

Kirby- All is means is that the enemies of the heroine are going to spread lies about her, try to malign her virtue (call her a slut), and turn the stupid men who are in love with her into stupid idiots who will eventually call her a slut to her face.

You know, if Gramps wants to keep Ana Perla pure, maybe he shouldn't have such a hot stud working on his property. I'm just saying that if I had to see shirtless Ricardo Franco each day, I'd need some cold showers and many visits to the local priest.

Fabulous recap, Adriana. Thanks so much.

Yes, Virginia certainly does know how to "turn on the whining machine" – as well as the crying machine and the over-the-shoulder smirk machine.

[La Paloma: "I already tried to slap her through the screen, but couldn't reach her smirking face." Ha!]

The chess player is "Pierre."

And unless my ears deceived me, Nancy deliciously told Uspín:

"Muchas cosas van a pasar en Mina Escondida porque el patrón Martín tiene fuego en la sangre."

Oh my.

Lovely Adriana. Thanks for this great recap. I like the "thundering feelings".

So is V-2 like...TWELVE? My word is all we get is her whining, and not like a somewhat adult but like some tween, I'm going to have to mute her as I watch. I would actually enjoy her more is she acted conniving and "grown up". Maybe to come.

I still think Sergio will go dark--no other reason to bring him into this one. And we will all have to adjust our beanies because, Martin and the every lamppost will fall hook, line and sinker for all the lies they will be fed about V-1. But that's essentially the story, so bracing myself.

Have to say, the man candy in this one is a reason in itself to tune in. But when you do get a moment like Ivan seeing V-1 at the party...freexe frame for further enjoyment. Or rewind...and rewind...and rewind...

Daisynjay

@Adriana - thank you, thank you, thank you, for such a wickedly awesome, snarky recap. I thoroughly enjoyed it this morning. And I was also relieved to read you liked our 2nd "Vero and Martin" moment as much as I did.

@Vivi - Re your "wish" that we'll have more of those moments BEFORE he realizes she's a possible target - judging from the "choking" preview Adriana mentioned, you may not get your wish when it comes to the timing. But I'm confident we'll get plenty of these "moments" between Vero and Martin regardless of his suspicions. I suspect Ivan's expressions of love will be as intense as his expressions of hatred, judging from both "the moment" and the "choking" preview.

Well lets enjoy these "love" moments before they inevitably get replaced by endless , annoying hatred.Just hope Martin will have the decency to leave her "untouched" in his times of fury.

Father Alfredo is the guy from Amores Verdaderos!

Great recap! And I want to thank all of the recappers so far this week. I just caught up watching the episodes last night.

If SS wasn't playing Emil, I could believe that Emil was just a really nice, friendly guy who made friends easily. But I keep seeing the signs of the BSC that I'm sure will fully come out. Would be nice though if SS played a somewhat good guy. But gosh, he looks mean in real life.

Vivi: ITA about Ricardo Franco. Lots of cold showers necessary with him around.

I can't help but wonder if Virginia was the one who wrote Demetrio the letter but as Vero. Definitely not beneath her to do.

I'm totally convinced the reason no men like Virginia is bec of her hairbands.

thanks so much, Adriana, for that excellent, detailed recap. I love the name ''Emilinino.'' Heh I am just not buying this joven.

''Marsha, Marsha, Marsha''...Virg is just so jealous of Very...who is very good at EVERYTHING. Whereas Virg seems to think that picking out a pretty frock sand a headband is pretty much a day's work. Petulant prissy miss.

Carvivlie: I was speculation the same thing regarding V-Snake writing the letters but signing them with Vero's name.

Linda

Yeah, Virginia signing the letter with Ver's watermark " I smile till you cry" wouldn't be beneath the jealous mini snake.

While i don't believe Emil would go completely Joker, the craziness is already lurking inside of him. I don't think SS is so mean, i believe he is nice in RL ( Note : I would also get mean if the parasitic papparazi would follow me all the time & write BS about me) but he gets his character's so well we almost believe it's real.

Adriana what a treat this is and thank you bunches.

"takes a vengeful sip of coffee"

I just wonder how this will spin out "whenever Veronica sees that I like something, she gets in the way" Could she have had the hots for Demetrio and Veronica always around? We don't know if Demetrio's love was ever reciprocated, or perhaps Virginia's wasn't.

Wow, Martin was pretty brutal in how he suggested handling an almost workplace romance. He was just as much at fault yet she should leave her job.

I'm glad Veronica is a possible candidate but Martin sure doesn't sound like a guy focused on vengeance, wishing she not the V. What was he gonna do, be in love with Veronica as he courted Virginia to enact his revenge? Come on Martin don't go all mushy on me, stiff upper lip. Date both, make both fall for you and take them both down. If you can.

Ain't buying Veronica has no idea Emiliano smitten with her.

The way Veronica talked about Demetrio being "capable" at work, sounded void of any deep emotion and just professional. She seems to be doing a good job of handling Emil's affections, staying somewhat emotionally distant from him. The way she mooned over Martin says she can be transparent with her feelings, though I get the impression she works hard to keep them in check.

What a great hilarious recap, Adriana. Well done. You guys are really giving this TN a first class sendoff.

Gee, we're only 4 episodes in and poor Ginnie is already despised by many here. Could it be residual animosity for previous characters played by Grettell Valdéz? I know that I already have some preconceived notions about Martín because of the mad murderous musician, Hernán (LT), played by Iván Sánchez. (Although if he parallels Jerónimo in CME I'll probably never warm up to him.)

Was I hallucinating or, while she was in the kitchen, did Verónica pick up an hors d'oeuvre, take a bite out of it, and then place it back on the serving tray? Naaah.

Carlos

Yeah, I'm sure Veronica isn't all sunshine and lollipops. Bet if you check the back of her headboard you'll find 10 years of gum.

Adriana thank you so much for the recap!

Grandfather and Manuel are going to be the death of me!

Can someone tell me- in the scene where Veronica and Virginia are in her room, when Vero tell Virginia to get a job Virginia replies with a very offensive "I'm not a lesbian and don't need to prove myself"-did Uni edit that for last nights show? I was horrified when I saw it on-line!

Eli,

She said she wasn't a "marimacha." Is that what you saw online?

Marimacha has multiple meanings, while it is an offensive word displaying lesbians it also has a meaning of boyish, macho-manish . I suppose in this case it meant macho-man, having manlike feautures. It also translate to "tomboy"

translates*

Novelamaven-yep that was it, I was so surprised to hear them use it as I've always grown up thinking about it as an offensive word.

CountX-they could have used a nother word in that scene, that along with Granpa and Manuel tell me that I might have to have beer ready while watching/recapping!

yeah, I've always thought it was a word meant to give offense. But then Virginia is an equal-opportunity offender. (Think of her scorn for the idea that people might want to wear native designs?)

Oh and Eli, if you forget the beer, you can always run into the kitchen (or next door) for some during a SIGNIFICANT LOOK.

Eli,Yeah haha , i hope you have fun watchingm/ recapping this novela cause for me it is quite a relief from QPD. I mean i do love recapping itself but as for the show it drags a lot. It has its moments though.

Marimacha is 90% slang for tomboys mostly, its rarely reffers to lesbians themselves. Tomboyish girls love dressing as men or have man like features in their personalities for example being a Woman soldier, driving motorcycles etc . The correct term for lesbians is " Lesbiana"

Thanks Adriana. Thanks too Vivi. Yaaa Master Franco doesn't do much for me. Grampa was first in line at the "Enormous Anvil Sign-up" counter. What a jackass. Can't wait to see him swimming across that pretty green river with a seventeen ton ANVIL.
kj

Carlos: I saw Vero eat and then put down the hor d'oeuvre and place it back but I couldn't see if it was actually back on the serving tray but looked that way!

How are the ratings for this Telenovela ?

Adriana---Thanks for a great recap
The appreciation is great.

Ok, ok, shirtless men? fine, but as for me I'll just stay focused on V-1 and I will be focusing every night thank you.

In the opening, don't we see whinny Virginia wearing the V necklace?

Carlos---I did see Veronica take a bite and put it back on the tray and then right after that I said, no---that can't be.
the gringo

Thanks, guys!
I am only now able to get back to my computer after a long day of work.

We've all seen SS play evil so many times, we're just waiting for him to snap and start some twisted plot. I do wish to see him play the good guy for once, though.

At this point I'm not sure who is worse: Abuelo or Manuel?
So, what do you guys think? Is Magdalena Vero's mom?

Kirby, I wouldn't take any of Virginia's words into consideration. She is just a bitter whiny person, too lazy to work (in the house or outside of it), with enough energy left to intrigue and sweet talk tia Salma.

That second meet was something, right? I know this story by heart, but a good galan will make me watch almost anything. So, yeah, I'm hooked. I wished I liked Ana Brenda more. I think she's very beautiful, but I don't click with her (sorry, Gringo).

I'm curious to see scenes with Virginia outside the house. She seems to be spending all her time with Salma, where would she find a guy who liked her?

The ratings of the show are pretty bad so far, especially for a prime time show, but that is no indication of quality. I hope Uni doesn't start cutting the story short of it doesn't go well in Mexico, this has happened with too many tns recently.

Good recap adriana noel, you have a
beautiful name.
Now like I said before, I'd think neither one of those Vs is the v on that pendant. I'd be surprised if it were one or the other. Poor marty, he don't know who to go after. One thing about this tn it keeps ya guessing. Martin need to devise a plan. He's so eaten up with anger, pain and hurt he can't see what might be right in front of him. And I have no idea what that is either, "LOL".
This week was full of guessing, trying to figure out who the heck is V. Hopefully we'll start to see the pieces fall into place, next week, maybe?

This week, you recapers were awesome. Thanks for bringing intrigue, romance, love, hate, funny stuff, you guys bring it all. thank you.

Nina

P.S. Everybody have happy safe Memorial day.

Virginia is the SNAKE, who keeps filing lies into people's heads about Veronica!

Martin's Operation Revenge still in effect!

Thanks so much for such a great recap, Adriana. I was at work all day and didn't have time to visit the blog sooner.

This was such a good episode. Now Martin knows there are two V's - Virginia and Veronica (who he likes). I liked how he was hoping that Veronica wasn't the woman who he wants revenge on.

Was surprised to find out Magdalena has a daughter. It seems like she will be a more important character than I thought she would be.

I loved when Nanciyaga said that Martin had "Fuego En La Sangre".
