Caray, Caray!

No worries Eli. I only caught little snippets myself on breaks from the CAVS game. There was the predicted OMG moment as V-1 trounced into her new world, complete with Marty making her schlep her own luggage.

Also saw her catching a rather quiet, but large spider, general cleaning and finding I think was a major blood stain on the floor. I had to giggle at that, because honestly, her reaction seemed a little less than stunned to see that.

Oh and Marty getting all over his brothers grave ( with his shirt surprisingly not all sweaty anymore). I switched back off that immediately.

Look forward to any other fill-ins people can offer.

I am wondering if Veronica and Carlos's girlfriend Nanci will become friends?

Veronica must be thinking by now---what have I gotten myself into. Good Grief! Well at least Vero is fixing up the place.

Disclaimer: I will try to fill in a little here. If you watched the show, this will probably not benefit you. But if you missed the show entirely, this will hopefully keep you in the loop so that tonight’s episode makes sense. I am going completely from memory and will probably leave out some things, but will cover the main points.

Vero and Crazy Boy are pressing on up the river in the oppressive heat in an overloaded (because of Vero’s luggage) rowboat. In a day and time where even sampans in the poorest countries have engines Mr. gold mine owner can’t slap a Yamaha on the boat and get there in a reasonable time. They finally disembark and Crazy Boy makes her haul her own luggage the trek to the house.

On finally entering the house it is a wreck. Crazy Martin takes glee in telling his new bride there is no electricity or hot water. Vero is a trooper and says she will deal with it. Crazy Boy asks if anything looks familiar. Assuming, we suppose, that Vero has been there before. Of course it does not look familiar to her….

Then the house tour continues with her awakening Psycho chick from the previews. Third person witch asks Vero who she is indignantly. Vero explains that she is Crazy Marty’s new wife. Vero pulls Crazy Boy aside and demands that third person witch be GONE. Crazy Dumbass explains that she is a necessity of life here in the jungle as there are no grocery stores, etc.

Wife of Crazy Dumbass agrees begrudgingly. Then third person psycho pulls Crazy Loony Snot aside and asks what he is thinking bringing a WHITE woman to the jungle.
Meanwhile Vero has begun to clean and make the best of what she has with the help of TPP. (Third Person Psycho.)

As she rearranges furniture and picks up trash Vero discovers a large pool of dried blood under a small table.

Before leaving the hotel Vero finds a FAX machine and faxes a note home. Vsnake is in George’s office and finds it and reads it and crumples it as Emu is walking in. Emu asks about the mysterious paper and Vsnake lies that she was writing him a love letter, but would rather just tell him to his face. Later on the family wonders why Vero did not let them know she got there allright as she promised. Vsnake reminds them that typically Veronica can not be counted on for anything. Also somewhere in all this Emu flies into a rage against Vsnake concerning always throwing Vero under the bus.

I luuurve my legs Claudia calls Vsnake to compare notes, Meets for lunch and spills the beans about hearing about Crazy Marty marrying Vero out of revenge. The girls are comparing notes while Vsnake knows that Dimbulb and CrazyMarty are Brothers and probably suspects the revenge angle, but plays dumb.
 

Pablo arrives at the French hotel just in time to miss Vero and Crazy Boy. But luckily he runs into Grampa Chastity and Manual as he is asking for Ana Perla. This does not go over well. He manages to dance around it somehow as he is an artist and needed AP to show him something, I didn't get quite all it.

Oh, and while Vero and Crazy Boy were still at the hotel he jumps up out of the bed with new (unconsummated, we believe)Wife and runs outside and is drinking alone at a table. Poor UW comes out to ask what is wrong but get nowhere with Crazy Marty.

While Vero and TPP are cleaning Crazy Boy walks out to the grave of Dimbulb and swears on his dead brother's grave that he is trying soooo hard to get the revenge he promised. But admits that he has forked around and fell in lurrrve. (Admits it to a mound of dirt with a homemade cross)
 

Oh almost forgot. As Grampa Chastity and Crazy Manual are threatening to kill Pablo, little Polo, the kid with the cute dog Onix or something, is there and corroborates Pablo's story and helps get him out of hot water with Gramp and Man.

To add:

* After lying and telling Emiliano that she was writing a love letter to him (when in reality she was crumpling up a letter from Veronica), Virginia tells Emiliano to forget Veronica but he tells her that it is impossible to forget her. She tells him that she is sure that time and distance (from Veronica) will help him move on and be happy as Veronica is with Martin.

* At dinner, the family talks about Veronica not writing home and Virginia says that they can't blame her for forgetting because she's probably soooo happy in the jungle with Martin. Emiliano gets mad at them for talking about Veronica. He warns Virginia to not make a comment like that again or else she can forget about him and leaves the table. Virginia acts innocent and pretends not to do know what she did wrong. Jorge tells her that she knows perfectly well what she did wrong and tells her that if she really wants to help Emiliano then she should watch what comes out of her mouth. Jorge leaves the table. Virginia acts innocent with Salma.

* There was mention of Pierre have a motor boat. He offered it to Martin and Veronica so they could get to Mina Escondida but Martin refused because he wanted Veronica to enjoy nature and the motor would scare off the birds etc.

* Pablo arrived at Pueblo Nuevo and was in hurry to go and see Ana Perla who he referred to as the most important thing ever. More important than gold. Abuelo and Manuel catch him when he asks Polo where Ana Perla is. The excuse he makes up is that he wanted Ana Perla to direct him to Abuelo so he could talk to Abuelo about painting Abuelo's grandkids. That had to be the lamest excuse ever and Abuelo would be a fool if he buys it.

* Virginia visits Emiliano in his room to tell him that she didn't want to bother him with the comment she made at dinner and he tells her that it's funny that she didn't want to bother him because that is what she always does. He enventually shoos her away and picks up the book that Martin gave him and curses the moment that Martin came into his life. He then throws the book on the floor. I have lost count of how many things Sergio Sendel has thrown when in a fit.

* Botel invites Veronica and Martin to come and eat at his place. Magdalena is getting things ready and wants everything to be perfect for her guests.

* Funny scene - at one point when looking at the mess the hovel is in, Martin reminds Veronica that she promised before God that she'd be with him through the good times and the bad times. And she tells him that yeah she did but didn't promise to be with him during the dirty times referring to the state of the hovel. During this scene she picks up a dirty shirt of Demetrio's and smells it then throws it on the ground. LOL

* Claudia told Virginia that she is still in love with Martin.
 

There was also a nice scene with Blanquita and Polo with their parents were they all act like a normal family and have dinner and we can see little Onix seated at the table and eating from a plate. I found this scene so cute and loved how they let Onix eat from the table. During this scene Polo whined about how their teacher is sooo boring and he prefers that her cousin Ana Perla teach them.

Mauricio- That was also my favorite scene and I got a huge kick out of Onyx eating from his bowl at the table, just like the rest of the family.

I'm just weary of this revenge thing of Martin's, sick of it, and as Kirby pointed out, the only smile and happy face I've seen the guy have, in like, forever, was when he showed her the love shack and set her up to find Nanci in his bed.

I hope Claudia shows up and spoils the punks plans, hate the guy. I also hope Veronica gets all revengie on his sorry butt when she finds out he planned the whole thing. Martin's not the sharpest crayon in the box though, cause he hadn't thought to tell anyone not to mention Demetrio was his brother until this last minute.
 

Tofie.. Yeah he has to pull everyone (Father Juan) etc. aside at the last minute to tell the to keep it quiet about the brother thing.

Maggie is I suppose, planning on unmittongly having her long lost daughter over for dinner.

So...Marty Boy...there was a collapse in the mine...everything is lost....gotta go right now....no time for goodbyes or honeymoon...? Well you are sure taking your own sweet time going to the actual mine.
 

Compared to Marty I almost like Grrrreta. :-)

It will be good when the time comes when crazy marty isn't any more. (Crazy), I'm so tired of seeing him treat veronica badly. she's not helping either, she isn't thinking about why these people are believing these lies about her. when are they not going to be in the dark? It will take awhile I suppose. But why doesn't he just come out and ask her? Maybe he will later. Ok lets see what tonight brings.
 

Martin didn't prep the people in Mina Escondida and the other town to keep quiet about 1) his brother Dimitrio; and 2) his SUCCESSFUL mine. He lied to Vero about the mine collapse and crisis, but won't it be suspicious when NO ONE else mentions that to her? Idiot.
 

You guys are great. Lord, I hope we actually get some forward something with people. Right now, just the usual posturing it seems with who loves who, who wants revenge on whom...we get it. I think we got this. Now I want some new relationships, V-1 getting in with the locals ( cause she so sweet don't you know) and just go park Gramps and Manny someplace.

Going back to the city just to watch V-2 bug the living hell out of Emi is going to get old really fast.

I thought that Veronica was handling the situation that she now finds herself in quite well. I can't even begin to think how it would have been if it was Viper snake that had gotten married and was on her way to Mina Escondita to start off on a new life's journey with her husband. My guess is if that had happened, the marriage would be over in less than 24 hours. Can anyone out on the patio see V snake trodding up the hill carrying her own suitcases and living in that house?

I am interested to see what part jungle girl Nanci will play. Good or bad? Vero's new friend or a new enemy?

I don't like the way that Manuel waves that knife around. Little painter dude could be in for a world of hurt.

There is an inherent flaw in Marty’s logic (I know, I know. His logic is like Swiss cheese). If Vero were the cold-hearted, uncaring gold-digger he believes she is, she would have (like Gringo points out Virginia would) left him as soon as she found out his mine was a bust and that he lives in a hovel in the jungle. Game over. Where’s the revenge? She wouldn’t have cared about his feelings- she would have just moved on, annulled the marriage for non-consummation, and told everyone about his inability to perform in the bedroom. No one would fault her. Only someone who truly loves him and cares about him (or is crazy) would actually stick around for his abuse, mood swings, and supposed poverty. And shouldn’t that tell him she ISN’T the cold woman who broke Dim-bulb’s heart?
 

Nina: Did it look to you last night as though Vero was beginning to smell a rat? A couple times she sort of looked as if she were thinking "What in the Helllll is wrong with this picture" Or maybe it was just wishful thinking on my part.

Well, at least Very seems to have found a fan and an ally perhaps in FakeFrench Pierre Pepe Le Pew. I got the feeling that he was sensing the crazy vibe that CrazyMarty was giving out. I am sure that MysteryMama will also become an instant friend,confident, and protector which is Verygood for Very. Girl needs some friends now that she is in the boondocks with veryscary CrazyM.
 

Vivi, agree Virginia would never have gotten in that little boat and Martin knows she wouldn't put up with his crap, nor fallen at his feet and why Martin is doing this to Veronica. Opportunity

Thank you to everyone for the commenters recap. Adriana Noel, that moment caught my attention too. Based on Crazy Marty (sounds like a car sales man) reaction, I thought she threw Vero under the bus and said she WAS involved with Dimmy.

Getting exceedingly hard to hope for a happy ending for Marty and Vero. Also, if I ask a question about something shown in the song/promo/I don't know what to call that song with clips thing at the beginning, does that tread on spoiler territory? If not, I gotta question....

Vero had plenty of reason to be giving Marty side eye like she did last night. When I was in college, if I went to a guy's dorm room and it was a total mess like Marty's place, I would instantly lose interest. And Marty's a grown man! Then she finds a half dressed woman waiting in his bed, and he says she's his "housekeeper"-- Yeah, right!

I rewatched that scene in which Martín asked Nanciyaga if the woman in the photo was Verónica. Before she could answer, Botel walked up interrupting the conversation. After Botel left, he asked her,"Tell me, is she the bad woman?" to which Nanci replied, "She will bring you pain and suffering." Jumping to a conclusion, he then said to himself, "It's she."

I don't think that Nanci has it in her to lie. She even asked him why he lied about the nugget. She may be jealous and is certainly prejudiced toward white women, but I don't think she would even consider lying nor do I think that she is psychotic or even mentally disturbed. I'm anticipating some defiance and even sabotage on her part but I suspect that she may soon become a strong ally.

I do strongly believe,however, that Martín is clearly psychotic. Revenge is one thing, what he is doing is sadistic, twisted, and misogynistic.

I'm watching right now and Nancyaga is for sure crushing on Martin. But it seems she is a little slow? Vero even made a reference to something to that effect. Is she? That would explain the 3 year old language.
