Lo Imperdonable #25 Fri 6/19/15 Let's Rub Our Arms To Help Us Get Through This Mess

Greetings everyone! I'm not sure what happened with yesterday's recap but here are some bullet points (from memory) of the highlights to help fill in what happened (please feel free to add if I missed anything or to correct me if I get anything wrong)

  • The miners from both La Moreneita (Martin's mine) and La Perla (Crescencio's mine) both get intoxicated from drinking water contaminated with cyanide. This is due to Manuel the idiot not having changed the filter when he should have.
  • Manuel is released from prison and Crescencio tells him about the conditions Martin put to forgive him. Oh and Manuel will sign and come with him to give Martin the document where Manuel promises to behave.
  • Ana Perla was still upset with Pablo but the two end up kissing and making up. Pablo will go and break things off with Mariana when he gets the chance to go to the city.
  • Emiliano is stressed at the office and Virginia (determined to turn him into an alcoholic because it'll be easier to dominate him) serves him a drink and tells him it'll make him feel better. He at first declines but ends up accepting it and chugs it down. He later serves himself another drink.
  • Veronica finds out Demetrio is dead from Joaquin. She goes and asks Martin about it and Martin accuses her of having been Demetrio's lover. She denies and gets mad at him.
  • Botel offers to compensate Dr. F really well with money if he replaces him in Mina Escondida for some time. Dr. F says he needs the money and will think about the proposal. For now he'll be in Mina Escondida for 15 days. Claudia shows up and Botel takes one good look at her and how she's dressed and tells her to ummm wear something a tad more comfortable for the trip.
  • Virginia realizes how sending Claudia over to Mina Escondida wasn't such a good idea because she could cause problems between Martin and Veronica. Virginia says she has to do something about that.

The new stuff...

Martin knows Vero doesn't understand him. But he doesn't understand himself either. He's sooo tormented by it all. Vero thinks he's "tormented" by his jealously. She knows they love each other but sometimes it's not enough. They have to fight to keep their love alive and attempt to comprehend and and trust each other. She asks him to please trust her. She kisses him and the kiss quickly turns passionately. Will the marriage FINALLY be consummated? Nope. The two lovebirds are interrupted by a knock on the door.

Crescencio and Manuel are at the door. Manuel has come to umm "apologize" for his nasty behavior although he doesn't really mean it. Crescencio pulls out the ridiculous document (which he has already signed) that is supposed to keep Manuel at bay and Manuel signs it right then and there. Martin makes it crystal clear to Manuel that if Manuel bothers Veronica again, then Manuel's worst punishment won't be that cave jail, but Martin himself. Manuel is given the chance to speak up and the pig has the audacity to bring up how Veronica dresses provocatively. Crescencio shuts Manuel up and hopes Martin can leave all this in past. Martin reminds Manuel the conditions of the document - Manuel is to not walk around armed, not bother anyone, oh and he's not to get near Martin and Veronica. Crescencio will make sure Manuel keeps his word.

Crescencio changes the subject and starts talking about the miners. According to the old geezer, the storm caused a desprendimiento (release) of mud which broke one of the tubes that connects the water with the tanks of cianuro (cyanide). Ah yes! Lorenzo had already told Martin this. Oh and Lorenzo mentioned something about a umm filter. Must be the one with the aguas residuales (sewage water). Crescencio and Manuel give each a umm nervous look which Martin and Veronica don't seem to notice. Ah yes! Joaquin had mentioned this to Veronica at the church. So the miners were intoxicated with cyanide - that's a dangerous poison. Martin asks the old geezer when was the last time he changed that filter. It was the old geezer's turn, no? Crescencio gets nervous and says the filter must have not resisted. Yes, that's right. It must have not resisted because for sure the leak was too strong. Veronica is worried about the contaminated water reaching town. Fortunately, the water is only used by the miners who use it to drink and to cleanse themselves after a long day of work. Martin wants to find where the filtration is and he'll send Lorenzo to go looking for it. But Manuel wants to be the one to go looking for it because he's sure he can help. (Ha! I wouldn't even trust him to separate the pencils by color) Manuel is about to leave but Martin tells him to wait. Martin wants to inform the authorities so they could start the decontamination treatment. But Manuel doesn't want to do this because it would be too expensive. Martin says they have to solve the problem. They can't leave the substance there. Think of the people, animals, and plants. Manuel opens his mouth again and the old geezer shuts him up and agrees with Martin. He sends Manuel off to go and do what Martin asked. Crescencio is surprised that Martin knows so much about the mine business. Martin lets the old geezer know that he's an engineer and prepared himself to take charge of the mine. Crescencio leaves and promises to keep Martin informed. Veronica tells Martin that at least now they know what the cause of the problem was. She doesn't want to leave Martin alone but is worried about the miners. Martin is worried about them as well and would love to be able to be with them and with Veronica also. He tells Veronica to go ahead and go with the miners. Veronica will leave because she knows that she and him are now in good terms. She kisses him and off she goes to help the miners.

At the church, the miners are still not feeling well. Some have been stripped naked and are covered with sheets.

Martin is shirtless and working a little sewing project. Nope, he's not sewing his undershirt. He's sewing his wound! Pierre shows up looking for Veronica to give her the fax sent by Jorge. Martin is not pleased with his visit. He tells Pierre that Veronica is not home. She's off helping the miners. He has Pierre hand him the fax and adds that Pierre's plan to see Veronica with the excuse of giving her the fax didn't work. Touché! is what Pierre says. In the faxes, there is a fax for Martin as well. "OK. You've given me the faxes now please do me the favor of leaving and quit stalking MY wife" Martin tells Pierre. Pierre lets Martin know he also came to Mina Escondida to see how he could help with the miners. Before leaving, Pierre tells Martin that instead of telling him (Pierre) off, Martin should quit treating Veronica like crap so she doesn't receive anymore faxes like the one she received. Pierre doesn't think Veronica is the kind of woman to put up Martin's crap. Pierre leaves and Martin is speechless. Touché!

Pierre runs into Veronica on his way to church. He apologizes because he umm may have just caused her yet another problem with her crazy jealous hubby. (As if the poor woman needs another problem with said hubby) He tells her about the fax and how he personally went to give it to her. Veronica thanks Pierre for what he does for her but she doesn't want any more problems with her hubby. The man is crazy jealous but she looooves him and wants her marriage to work. Pierre apologizes and tells her it won't happen again. He kisses her hand and off he goes.

Virginia visits Emi in his room and thanks him for all he taught her during the day. She asks him how long it has been since he's done tiro al arco (archery). It's be a looooong time since he's done that and tiro al blanco (shooting) as well. Now Emi has no one to do with it (since Veronica left). Virginia offers to be his partner. She wants to learn how to do both archery and shooting. Emi offers to teach her. Virginia with a rifle and bow an arrow can't be good!

Martin sits at the table and reads Claudia's letter as he munches on a snack. In the letter, Claudia tells him that she's soooo worried about him and is coming to see him along with the doctor the Prado Castelo's are sending over. Veronica arrives and she wants to see the fax her uncle sent. Martin gets jealous thinking Pierre went looking for her. She explains that she ran into Pierre on the street. She tells him to not get jealous and lets him know that she just told Pierre to try and avoid her because she only has eyes for her crazy jealous hubby. She kisses him. Martin is calmed down. Veronica wants to take a look at the fax and he playfully refuses to let her see it but she eventually takes it from him and takes a look at it.

Crescencio, Joaquin, & Lorenzo along with other men search for the leak at the mine. Joaquin says that the only explanation is that a tube must have broken and it let the poison out. Crescencio realizes Manuel is not with them anymore. Lorenzo says that if Manuel is there or not doesn't make a difference. (Ha! So true) Crescencio chews Lorenzo out for his remark and orders him to go and look for Manuel. But Lorenzo stands up to the old geezer and reminds him that he no longer works for him. Go Lorenzo!

Veronica feels better knowing that Dr. F is coming to town to check on Martin. Martin thinks Veronica doesn't trust Dr. Nanciyaga and her leaves treatment and he chuckles at this idea. Veronica accepts that Dr. Nanciyaga saved his life and she'll forever be grateful to her. Still, having Dr. F check her out can't hurt and it could avoid future complications. Martin thanks her for taking such good care of him and worrying about him. The two are getting along so well now that Veronica ruins the moment by asking him about Demetrio. Martin is now all serious and tells her that now is not the moment to touch that subject. They sooooo many problems. They may lose it all. Martin may even have to put the construction company's money to solve the problem. Veronica asks if this means they'll be left without money and Martin tells her it does. He wanted her to know this. Veronica offers him the money Jorge gave her as a wedding gift.

Joaquin acts as peacemaker and tries to calm the old geezer and Lorenzo down. And adds: that Manuel being there or not really doesn't make a difference (LOL). Manuel shows up drunk as a skunk and most likely smelling like one too. He gets chewed out by Crescencio for like a second for showing up at the mine in this shall we say indecent condition. Joaquin chews him out as well and Manuel believes he has right to do what he darn well please. He's the boss after all. Manuel could care less about the miners and if any of them died it'd be their problem not his. This enrages Joaquin and he grabs Manuel by the lapels and tells him to his face that if ANY of the miners were to die then he personally would make Manuel drink from the contaminated water.

Martin and Veronica have yet another spat. This time Martin is pissed because Veronica accepted the money behind his back. She explains it was a wedding gift and what was she to do. If she were interested in money, then she wouldn't be offering it to him. He thinks perhaps she offers him the money to solve the mine problems so she'll have even more money. She lets him know he's offending her and she won't let this slide. She tells him that since they've got married she's done everything so things will be good between them but he keeps on putting up a barrier between them. They haven't even consummated their marriage yet! And she doesn't get why. Yes, yes, she knows they've been riddled with problems but she's tried to be supportive and instead of seeing her as a support he sees her as an enemy. She wants him to let her know if he doesn't love her and she'll wait until he gets better and everything is resolved to leave. He doesn't want her to leave. She doesn't get why he doesn't let her help him with such a big problem. After all, what is his is hers and is her and his, no? She's offering him the money with all heart. He thinks it's a charity and she tells him it's not charity. She reminds him of the vow to be together through the good and bad times. He asks why she's so nice to him and... She tells him it's because she looooves him. She tells him to go ahead and accept the money and then they'll see what happens between them. He knows what will happen - she'll stay right there with him. She tells him they'll talk when he is better. She offers him the money again and he refuses. He doesn't want her family to believe he's a golddigger. She tells him they are talking about their patrimony. If he does love her then he'll accept the money as an act of love for her.

Joaquin thinks Manuel should have compassion for the families of the sick miners, but as expected Manuel the heartless bastard could care less. Joaquin turns to Crescencio and waits for Crescencio to speak up. All Crescencio does is order Manuel to leave because he's in no condition to help. Manuel leaves but makes it clear that he's leaving only because Crescencio asked him to.

Martin refuses the money: it's his final word. He then starts with his jealously and accuses Veronica of having gone to the hotel to send the fax and seeing Pierre behind his back. Veronica calls him out on how his insane jealously. She assures him she hasn't seen Pierre and now that he mentions it she doesn't even know how her family found out what happened to him. He tells her not to lie to him. He won't allow it. Veronica can't take this anymore. She'll go and tend the miners because she can't speak with him and isn't going to allow him to offend her with this nonsense. He tries to stop her from leaving but she leaves anyway and he yells after her to not leave. Now alone, he tells himself that he won't able to keep up with this any longer and wonders what he should do.

Joaquin is pissed at Manuel. Crescencio says: You know how he is. Then why are you getting soooo mad? Besides Joaquin did say they were all soooo tired. Yeah, we're tired but he's drunk, Joaquin tells the old geezer. Joaquin lets the old geezer know they can't count on Manuel because he'd only be a burden. They all go to continue the search for the leak.

Emiliano (bow and arrow in hand) is surprised to see Virginia with this attitude. He assumed it'd be something that would pass. Virginia tells him that he told her that she had to do everything to live her life and that's what she's doing. She thanks him for opening her eyes and helping her do this.

At the dinner table, Salma and Jorge chat about Virginia and Emiliano. Salma comments on Virginia being as good or better than Veronica at work. Jorge tells her not to get ahead of herself - they'll have to see if Virginia is doing all this for the company and not to be close to Emiliano. For Salma, it'll be more than enough if Virginia is able to take the sadness and alcohol from Emiliano. Jorge doesn't want Salma to play cupid with Virginia and Emiliano. If anything happens between them then it should happen naturally.

Emiliano will teach Virginia archery when he returns from the convention. She goes off to rest and now alone Emiliano takes out his stash of liquor and stares at it.
Salma believes Virginia is doing good to Emiliano. (If only she knew.....) Jorge changes the subject and hopes the fax they sent to Veronica arrived. He also hopes Dr. F gets there in them to check on Martin.

Veronica is at church and tells Padre Juan about her most recent spat with Martin. She's on verge of giving up. All she wanted was for Martin to console because of the death of her friend Demetrio. Instead, Martin started with his jealous rants. Padre asks if Martin told her anything about Demetrio. She tells him Martin just spewed out nonsense. Padre advises Veronica to be patient with Martin. He's a good man who is just acting wrongly. Veronica changes the subject and mentions the doctor that is coming to town.

Back at the mine, the leak has been found! But it'll take several days to have it repaired and they won't be able to work the mine until the leak is fixed. No puede ser! Crescencio has clients who he must attend to and he can't lose them. Joaquin suggests they ask Martin for help and Crescencio doesn't really like the idea but he'll go and see Martin.

Pablo and Ana Perla are at church and Pablo lets Ana Perla know he's dying to kiss her. Ana Perla reminds him they're in church. They talk about the situation with the miners and Ana Perla says they have to have faith in God, San Lorenz, and Dr. Nanciyaga. Pablo suggests Ana Perla pray to San Lorenzo. He can't do it because he knows San Lorenzo won't listen. After all he's a man with many many mistakes. San Lorenzo is sure to listen to Ana Perla because she's an angel.

Blanquita and Polo watch the romantic moment between Pablo and Ana Perla from afar. Teo shows up bringing supplies and stutters when he sees Blanquita. The two chat for a while and Teo gets nervous when Blanquita holds him hand to thank him for bringing the supplies. Veronica shows up and Teo leaves to give Padre the supplies. Veronica and Blanquita chat a little and Blanquita lets her know how bad she feels for what Manuel did to Martin. Veronica says that Martin could have died and it was a hard decision for him to make to forgive Manuel. Veronica hopes Manuel will change. Blanquita hopes so as well. Blanquita mentions how Crescencio forbade her and Ana Perla from getting near her because of all that happened. But they won't obey him. Both she and Ana Perla like Veronica. In fact, Veronica kind of reminds them of Magdalena. Why is that? Blanquita's not sure. Could be because they have the same mannerisms and are both good.

Botel wants Magdalena to see a psychologist to help her be strong emotionally when she finds her daughter. Magdalena doesn't want to at first but she ends up accepting.

Veronica and Blanquita continue to chat and Blanquita tells her about the books she has read. Polo shows up and comments on Veronica's beauty. The kid offers to show her the sights but then thinks it's not such a good idea since her hubby is crazy jealous. Veronica doesn't think her hubby would be jealous of a handsome boy like him. Polo eventually leaves and Veronica mentions to Blanquita how Ana Perla went with Pablo to see her and Martin to ask them to forgive Manuel. Raymunda overhears and asks Veronica about this.

Although Crescencio isn't a man of apologizing he is a man of accepting his mistakes. He realizes he should have left Joaquin in charge of the mine. Well, now he is leaving Joaquin in charge. Joaquin is humble about the offer and doesn't accept but Crescencio lets him know it's an order. Joaquin is the indicated one to be left in charge.

Veronica explains that Pablo only told Ana Perla where to find them and Pablo and Ana Perla arrived umm at the same time. Yes, that's it. They arrived at the same time. Raymunda doesn't seem at all that convinced and tells Veronica that Ana Perla is noble and nice and that's why her father the overprotective bastard protects her soooo much from outsiders. Veronica hopes they realize now that not all outsiders want to cause harm. She offers her friendship and holds out her hand which Raymunda shakes after like a second or two.

Virginia is in a sexy nightgown and plans to seduce Emiliano. But Jorge rains on her parade by coming to seeing her and telling her that they have an appointment with Dr. Del Rio the following day. Dr. Del Rio is soooo intrigued that Virginia is still even after the operation.

The next day, Matilde and Emiliano chat. Matilde knows Emiliano drank the night before. She found an empty bottle of liquor under his bed. He explains it was from before but Nana isn't buying it. She also saw the anti-acid he took. He apologizes for having lied to her. He didn't want to worry her. She is worried that he'll become an alcoholic. Yes, she knows he was affected by the thing with Veronica, but he can't force things. She thinks he'll be able to find another love once his heart is cured. She tells him he is a good man and it isn't fair that he is doing this (drinking heavily) to himself and his parents. He wish he could be stronger and not turn to alcohol. Nana knows that he is strong. She lets his niño know that she can count on him for anything. Emiliano thanks her. The other members of the Prado Castelo clan show up and Virginia tries to weasel herself from attending the appointment with the new doctor but it's not use. She's going.

Raymunda, Crescencio, Ana Perla, and Blanquita have breakfast at Raymunda's place. They talk about Veronica. Raymunda doesn't think Veronica is bad. The old geezer accepts that Veronica has her merit but that doesn't mean they should trust her. Raymunda the blabbermouth tells Crescencio how Ana Perla went to see Veronica and Martin to intercede for Manuel. Crescencio tells Ana Perla that he had told her not to get near them. Ana Perla explains she had to do something. Crescencio will let this one slide because he knows she did it for an important reason. He tells her she's as nice as her mother was. That's why he takes such good care of her sooo much because he doesn't want what happened to... so nothing bad happens to her. He doesn't want Ana Perla to trust Pablo. Raymunda mentions how Pablo has been helping out at the church.

Claudia and Dr. Fe arrive at a rest spot at Pueblo Verde. The two are exhausted and all hot (because of the sun; not hot and bothered). Dr. F feels like taking off his shirt and he undoes some buttons revealing his chest. He'd never had made the trip if it weren't that it was a Prado Castelo emergency. Claudia says the trip has been a nightmare but Martincito needs them. Dr. F says that at least they have each others company. It makes the trip less tiring. Claudia wets a napkin (or rag?) and offers to freshen Dr F. up. She goes over to him and rubs him all over and even goes for the chest with the napkin or rag or whatever it is to refresh him but it looks to me like she's getting him more hotter and possibly bothered since she gets all flirty with the "freshening up".

Crescencio will continue with the family portrait and he wants Raymunda and Joaquin to be a part of it. Crescencio doesn't want Ana Perla to get near Pablo. Oh and Blanquita better not be covering for her. Blanquita gets all sweet and tells the old geezer she loves him.

Virginia is all nervous with the doctor's appointment and when Salma and Jorge aren’t looking she puts drops in her cup of water and drinks.

Ana Perla and Pablo help out at church. Ana Perla thinks Pablo should go and rest but Pablo doesn't want to leave her. They hardly see each other and he wants to take advantage of every second to be with her. Raymunda shows up and tells Pablo he should and rest. She mentions how the family portrait will continue. Pablo is up for continuing the portrait. He'll go and bathe in the river and be right back. He leaves. Raymunda who is just as paranoid of outsiders as her dad doesn't think Ana Perla should trust Pablo. Raymunda says they have their reasons for feeling his way and Ana Perla wants to know what those reasons are. But all Raymunda says is that Crescencio says things for a reason and ever since Ana Perla's mother went to heaven, Ana Perla has become the apple in Crescencio's eye, and he'd never forgive himself if anything happened to her. She asks Ana Perla to do as the old geezer says. ShutUpRaymunda.

Magdalena and Botel meet with the PI at the same restaurant as before. Magdalena freaks when she finds out the PI has been searching obituaries, funeral homes, etc. Does the PI think Aaron could have killed her daughter? No, no, no. He's searching to see if Aaron croaked. PI hasn't been able to find a social security or bank account in is name. Magdalena says that Aaron disappeared because he wanted to. Aaron had told her that he'd return when least expected to kill her and that while she lived she'd suffer not knowing where her daughter is. Eventually, a sketch artist named Diogenes shows up. He'll make a sketch of how the daughter was when she was young on the computer and then add features from Magdalena and make a sketch of how the daughter would look like today. Magdalena can't believe that she'll get to see her daughter.

Padre shows up and finds Martin working on a solution for the leak. Martin will have to go and supervise the repair job. Padre thinks it would be dangerous and risky for Martin but Martin says there are more lives at stake. Padre mentions how Veronica has been helping out with the miners. In all this time, Padre hasn't been able to see the selfish and golddigger Veronica that Martin talked about. If she were like that before, then for sure love made her change. Martin tells Padre how Veronica offered him all her money. Padre says that's more proof that Veronica is good. Martin starts again with what Veronica supposedly did to his brother. He still thinks it is unforgivable. Padre says that even if all that were true, Veronica is showing she has changed. Martin accepts that Veronica turned out not to be who he thought she was. He says let's assume that she did change because she loves me, but should he forgive her because of that? Padre tells Martin not to be soooo darn stubborn as to not forgive the woman who loves him and who is his wife because that is how Martin wanted it.

The sketch of the daughter (young version) is done and Diogenes shows Magdalena and Botel a sketch of how the daughter would look like now. No puede ser! The sketch looks like Veronica. Magdalena and Botel are muuyy impactados.

Mauricio, you have done a splendid job (as usual)! Special thanks for giving us the highlights of Thursday's episode.

"(Ha! I wouldn't even trust him to separate the pencils by color)"

So funny – and so true! Manuel is like a rabid dog that needs putting down. What's that dicho? Muerto el perro, se acabó la rabia.

I wonder if the reconstructed drawing of Magdalena's daughter will speed up her realization that Vero is hers. I hope so, but I'm sure the writers will come up with some weird obstacles :-)

On Thursday, Marty kept asking himself how it was that Verónica was so good to him and the miners and ... well, to just about everyone else and yet had behaved so cruelly towards Demetrio.

It's interesting that he recognizes the disconnect between the GOOD Verónica he observes and the EVIL Verónica he still blames for Dem's death; yet he doesn't question his assumptions about Vero's "crime." He flashes back to OVERHEARING Ginny tell the PC family that Vero and Demetrio were lovers.

As a rational man, he should know that is a terrible source of information, but as Crazy Marty, it doesn't even occur to him to ask whether Ginny was telling the truth.

Wow, this is great Mauricio and appreciate the bullet points on Thursday's show too.

What in the heck is the matter with that priest? He knows Martin is out to destroy Veronica, yet tells her Martin is a good man and hang in there. Who's side he on? Wonder if our good Padre would like someone abusing him every second of every day with the intent to destroy him. Yeah, hang in there buddy and the troglodyte will finally get tired and stop beating, idiot. Is it ok cause Veronica is a woman and the right of a man to do with his property whatever he chooses and Padre believes that shit. He's assisting in this torment, not trying to thwart it. The only sensible person is Pierre and hope he makes Martin so jealous the dude burst.

I'm starting to think it was a darn shame Manuel was locked up in that little cave jail instead of being at the mines and drinking the contaminated (which got contaminated due to him since he forgot to change the filter).

I think that with the sketch Magdalena did realize that Veronica is hers. I can't wait to see what happens on Monday. This episode was kind of dull but that was a great cliffhanger at the end.

*drinking the contaminated water

NovelaMaven: Thanks for adding to what what happened on Thursday. I had forgotten about that.

tofie, what struck me about Padre Juan's bland assurance that Marty is a good man is that he hardly knows him. Sure, he came to know Demetrio, but Martin is practically a stranger to him!

"I'm starting to think it was a darn shame Manuel was locked up in that little cave jail instead of being at the mines and drinking the contaminated water."

Ditto, Mauricio.

And I hope you're right about Magdalena recognizing Vero as her daughter!

Exactly, the Padre has interacted with Veronica more than he has Martin, yet he explains away the incongruity with Martin's view as she must have changed for love. Still assuming the worst of Veronica instead of admitting the worst of Martin, whom admitted it to him in confession.

Mauricio- This was just fantastic. Thank you for recapping both episodes.

ITA with you all. Padre has now spent more time with Vero than he has with Martin. Yet, he's still willing to believe that Vero was once a beyotch but Martin's love has now made her a saint (yeah right), while declaring without hesitation that this nutcase with a burning desire for vengeance is a "good person." Oh, please!

Claudia may actually like Dr. F's chest almost as much as her own legs. She was giving him the same rubdown treatment.

Mauricio- wonderful recap, I like your way of
"Snark"? I think its called, if not correct me. I like the way you tell a story.

Martin sounds like someone who has lost his hold on reality. Everytime I read about an arguement
Between him and veronica the conversation Is onesided. She is the only one thats making any sence. He acts like a child that can't have his way. He's hot & cold, emphasis on the cold.
Mauricio-you mentioned "virginia with a rifle and bow and arrow can't be a good" . I can just imagine "O honey Im sorry my heart skipped a beat and my finger jumped", he's got an arrow right through the temple. Or I accidentally pulled the trigger, or a bullet in the heart.
What manuel tried to say about vero being dressed provocatively, I'd like to see him try that with dr. Nancy, she'd use her machete to seperate him from his little friend. And besides if it was about dressing a certain way he would have tried with nancy, she walks around with one leg exposed. he probably knows not to pull that crap with her tho.
What did happen to ana perla's mother?, is she really dead? Why wont they talk about her? Hummm more mysteries to be uncovered.

Oh, Martin knows exactly what he is doing, very self aware, great villain material. He is plotting what he can do to tie Veronica down and not leave until he can enact his revenge completely. He needs her in a pen to destroy her and no good if she runs to safety. He'll probably sleep with her or drag out his convalescence. She already said once he is better she'll decide to leave or not.

Mauricio. Thanks so much for above and beyond the call.

WOW Ms. Clawdia is just one big quivering jello ball of lust and greed. I suspect she does not know that Dr.F is far from loaded.

It would really be a hoot if Claw-dia got her hooks into Dr. Daniel and continued her persuit of the elusive Emu. Vsnake would have more than her poor little sickly heart could take.

I also hope the mystery drops Vsnake took backfire on her somehow. Maybe they fall out of her purse and she is busted.

I love it that Pierre Douchage drives CrazyBoy over the edge. StoopidIdiot is only enjoyable when he is apoplectic with jealousy. Poor Veronica. Oh how I wish she would turn the tables and play his torturous game and openly flirt with Douchage while CrazyMarty is not able to physically take any action. Borrow a Nancy Gaga outfit to wear to the hotel to send a fax.

"You thought you were jealous before, Green Boy? Look what I'm wearing for Pierre. Now THAT's what jealous feels like.."

Or Veronica can ask for a divorce cause she is marrying another man. Hehe

Great double-recap, Mauricio. I loved the line about not trusting Manuel even to sort the colored pencils.

About the misssed opportunity to have Manuel drink the water at the mine if only he were not locked up, I doubt he EVER drinks water. It's all hard liquor for him.

Tofie and Latinaintransit: When will Gramps realize he has a little teensy weensy problem on his hands called Manuel.? My Granpa would have already forgotten my name and I'd be eating Gravy Train in that CaveJail.

CrazyMarty is so despicable and messed up he is not even interesting anymore. Like looking at the same train wreck every night on the way home.

Thanks again Mauricio and thank your helper Mauricio also for me.;-)
Although Vero is beautiful and her almost undressed pictures published all over leave no doubt, a woman who lets anyone treat her the way CM treats her has lost her shine to me. Ty that shiet with Nanciyaga and you will look like you fell in the power line companies chipper shredder.

Interesting still is Vsnake getting caught and hopefully a nice Claw-dia vs Vsnake cat fight. Go ahead and drink yourself into invisibility Emu, I could care less.

Try

Thanks everyone for all the great comments.

I really disliked Raymunda in this episode (well actually I have been disliking her since she defended Manuel and excused the attempted homicide as Manuel just "defending himself"). She's just as bad as her dad and Manuel. I wanted someone to slap her when she blabbed to Crescencio that Ana Perla had gone to see Martin and Veronica. The whole "all outsiders are bad and we must not trust them" attitude and mentality is ridiculous. Just because one outsider hurt Crescencio's sister doesn't mean that all outsiders are like that.

Mauricio, you have hit perfection with your recap. Thank you for such a splendid job. Not one detail left out. We sure have such a great Lo Imperdonable recap team.

LOL Mauricio---Now we have two that can't be trusted with colored pencils. Is Viper
and Manuel related? A great brother and sister team???

Novela Maven---1:43PM You said it far better than I could. Crazy Marty has a mental
block, he's not thinking.

Nina---I like what you said that Manuel knows not to mess with Nanciyaga. He wouldn't get away with it.

Yes Kirby---Wouldn't a Claudia Vsnake fight shake things up a bit.
Also if Vero got dressed up to go send or get a fax. Crazy Marty would go crazier than Manuel.

Hey---All the things going on and we're only getting started. I can't wait for Monday night.
Must see tv.

Mauricio, thanks for a great (double) recap! Also enjoyed all the comments on the shenanigans at Mina Escondida.

Speaking of shenanigans, V snake was a busy little girl. I'd love to see the new dr. discover the drops she used.

Virginia's head bands are part of her manufactured image, but they're not all bad. Vero needs some kind of hair restraint, if not a head band. Maybe a few strands fastened back or something. She's about to seriously annoy me with all her hair tossing and pushing back hair from her face. She has lovely long tresses, but it's very distracting.

Manuel is one of the most useless characters I've ever seen in a TN. Obnoxious, overbearing, selfish, AND too stupid to change the filter. Then, can't see that the mine owners have some responsibility for their workers' well-being.

With INSIDERS like Manuel how bad can Outsiders be?

Super recap Mauricio and very welcome as I was dying to know what some of the conversations were about. Thanks much!

It will be fun to see how Dr. F. handles the V-M situation and what he makes of Nancyaga as well.

Claudia will be really interesting - she is the antipathy of an in-the-rough girl, or so it seems. Who knows she might team up with Nancy and do a jungle dance! She may have to go without shoes for awhile though.

Manuel should be put into stocks for all to see, and kept there for a long time, even in the rain. I think Emiliano may turn out to be some sort of hero in all of this, once he grows up. Can't wait for his arrival in jungleland. I think Nancyaga will knock his lights out. So, yes, it is all getting much more interesting and Marty seems to be breaking through his tight crust of revenge, gradually, but not fast enough to hold onto Vero. Ivan is much more attractive with his changes in facial expressions - a few more to add to his repertoire. I think he does have a very nice physique, but I go for a man with a brain and a sense of humor before one with a great body.....I think that's part of the aging process...LOL!!

La Paloma I agree about ManuaLabor. The icing on the cake was his flip attitude that most if the miners were gravely ill. Especially given that he knew it was because he did not change the filter. Aaaarrrrrhhh die . And then Grampa, sisters and Aunts think it is the end of the world that he is locked up for attempted murder.

Mauricio, thanks for pulling double duty.
Friday's recap and Thursday's summary were excellent reads this Saturday night.

ITA with everyone's opinion of Manny. He needs to be kicked where the sun don't shine. The question I have is whether Grandpa Cres, AnaPerla and the rest of the family would have forgiven Martin had HE stabbed Manny? I am not so sure. They would have been accusing him of being an outsider and unwelcome and would have thrown him in jail. Grandpa Cres would have probably taken over his mina too. Just sayin'.

Gale-
I too see that Martin is starting to crumble out of his, as you called it "tight crust of revenge". I think his feelings for Vero will soon override his feelings of vengeance. When they fight, and she threatens to leave, he tells her to stay. At first he wanted her to stay so he could avenge his brothers death and make Vero suffer, but now he wants her to stay because he knows deep down that he would miss her. I hope that he realizes that she is a good person, and even though he thinks she was the one who manipulated Dimi, he can, in his mind, forgive her for what he thinks she did. Hopefully love can override his need for vengeance.

I wish Madelaine was here to give us an earworm. I think a good one for Martin would be "Jealous Guy" by John Lennon. I don't know how to link songs on here, but I'm sure you can find it on Youtube, or somewhere online. It's on the Imagine album.

Hasta pronto!

Happy Father's Day!

Kirby- you said a mouthfull right there"WITH INSIDERS Like Manuel, how bad can OUTSIDERS be?" And and his sick reasons for attacking veronica was because of the way she was dressed. Really? stupid is what stupid does.

Thanks again Mauricio.
Thoughts on Martin: Ostensibly, suicide over affairs of the heart run in his family, Re: Dimbulb over Vsnake. (QTH) Killing yourself over that little viper us like slashing your wrists when hemorroids go away.

Anyway, before I sidetracked myself with those happy thoughts. Dumb and crazy as Martin is, he can not escape the truth forever. He will hopefully see the whole unvarnished truth aftet Vero is sooooo goooone
.

Then in the best family tradition, he should whack himself. Problem solved. And another thing if these two wete so clise, why is Marty's last name St. Elmo's and Dimbulb something like Silverestria? I realize the answer is self evident, but these two dumb strokes were only half brothers to begin with.

Looking forward to more anguish, heartache, death and evil dishonesty. Love it when Vsnake faces a mongoose.

When I saw Fridays episode, I was surprised to see that they were actually in the mine. I noticed that crazy Manuel was the only one without a hard hat. I was hoping for some rocks to fall on him but it didn't happen. Anyway---the mine looked to be a very small by hand "manual labor" operation as I saw no heavy duty mining equipment around at all. Maybe Televisa is on a tight budget. However I couldn't help but think of the large gold mining companies like Barrick Gold, Newmont Mining and Goldcorp. Companies like that that have the big equipment that can bore through or take down a mountain in no time. I know, I know, the environment but still--- With a small operation like what we've seen in that poor depressed area, it's no wonder that there isn't a Mercury or Honda motor on the little boat. There's probably very little money flowing out of that mom and pop operation. Just enough to pay the workers with little left over. I could be wrong but those were my thoughts.

Will crazy Marty really go insane and Emi and Veronica end up together? No! Saint Veronica is too good for Emi. Well she's way too good for crazy Marty so I guess that we will have to stay tuned to see what is going to happen.

Actually at this point, I am curious to see what is going to play out with everyone's favorite little viper, Virginia.

must see tv.

I started watching this tn On-Demand last Monday on a fluke, swearing I would hate it because it's a Mejia but I love it for Ivan Sanchez who is believeably torn as Martin. He is a bit loco and unbalanced because he's mourning Dem alone and lying to Vero about who he is to enact a vengeance on her he's not really sure she deserves. He's acting reasonable for what he's experiencing-he's divided between love and hate.

Yes, Marty and Dem are half brothers with different fathers but Martin mentioned that since he had to be Dem's parent after their Mom died he got really close to Dem. Dem's his brother and his child.

I agree with the critics who say Sergio Sendel was badly cast here. The only time he looked like a twenty-something was when he was first coming home in the car. His hair and face were on-point. They should've kept that makeup artist who had him looking amazing. But the rest of the time since, even though he is acting well as per usual, he looks like the guy that's too old to be in the club. Pablo Montero as Dem the younger brother was weird too since he looks swole and ten years older than Ivan Sanchez who isn't a spring chicken. I get that Televisa wanted strong supporting cast around Ana Brenda and Grettel but are they that starved for good male talent they could find young male actors to play these roles?

J desde NYC Welcome to our little slice of craziness. This is a pretty entertaining bunch of people along with an equally entertaining TN. Thanks for the info about Martin and Demetrio.

@J desde NYC - glad you joined us on our crazy journey with crazy Marty and needy Veronica. BTW, Grettel is no spring chicken either. She is 38 years old. Pablo Montero and Ivan Sanchez are both 40 years old, but I agree that Pablo Montero looks much older, thanks to his hard living. Mejia recently admitted in an interview that he might have made a mistake in casting Sendel (who is 48 years old) in the role of Emi, though he pointed out that he did it because he didn't want, and I quote, "repeat the mistake of hiring inexperienced actors for La Tempestad" (ouch - reference to Ximena Navarrete, no doubt) and that he went with Sendel because he needed an experienced actor in that role to go head to head with Ivan Sanchez. Of course, he didn't stop to think how ridiculous Sendel would look pretending to be roughly the same age as Ana Brenda, who is sstill only 28 years old, and who in fact still looks like a teenager when she wears no make-up (judging by photos she frequently posts on social media without a drop of make-up on).

Also, I agree wholeheartedly with your comments about Ivan's performance. I generally focus on the performance of the actors (especially the two leads) more so than on the characters themselves when I declare whether or not I like a certain character or a novela as a whole. If I were looking for a character with no flaws and perfectly sane, well then I would never watch novelas. I like seeing characters like this, with self-inflicted problems like the ones Martin has brought on himself with his mixed feelings of love and vengeance or the problems Veronica brought on herself by allowing her "abandonment" issues to cloud her sound judgment and marry a total stranger on the fly. I find it interesting that some readers refer to the characters in this novela as caricatures. That may be true for the rest of the characters, but as flawed as Martin and Veronica are, that is what makes them more human and thus more real to me than the typical novela characters. On top of that, I think that both Ivan Sanchez and Ana Brenda have acted their roles perfectly.

I think either Brandon Peniche or Osvaldo de León could have torn the role of Emiliano up. Sendele in this is stupid but must have a great agent.

I agree Ana Brenda and Ivan have done a great job, especially Ana Brenda. I really believe her as a girl with huge "abandonment" issues and had built a wall to protect herself only for it to crumble for the one man in the universe that wants to destroy her. Makes me kinda sick to watch a cunning predator at work and Ivan plays one perfectly.

I also think Tania Lizardo is doing a great job and wish to see more of Blancquita, forget Ana Perla.

Tofie, I'm praying that Martin's vengeful plan to destroy her comes back to HAUNT HIM when it blows up in his face. What he's doing to her now is CRUEL, sadistic & evil!

He needs an ANVIL bigtime! You're right about watching a cunning predator doing this to a vulnerable woman, whose being blamed for his older brother's death, etc.,

Oh if there was only a Genomma Lab kiosk nearby. Martin would be out playing softball in a couple days.
