Caray, Caray!

Club Prado Castelo

A drunken Emiliano offends Veronica by calling her a "seductress and treacherous" and Martin grabs him by the lapels. Instead of giving the jerk what he deserves, Martin releases him rather quickly and Emiliano continues to make a scene in front of all the guests. Jorge shows up and tries to put a stop to it all but instead of dragging his son out of there the idiot stands there and lets Emiliano continue to humiliate himself and the rest of his family. Veronica tells Emiliano "enough already!". The fool is willing to give Emiliano a pass for this little scene when she should slap the him silly for his offensive remarks against her. Emiliano comments on how Martin will drag her off to Mina Escondida which happens to be the worst place ever. Veronica makes it clear to Emiliano and everyone else for that matter that Martin won't drag her no where because her place is where her husband is. She says that Mina Escondida might be a hell for some but for her it will be her paradise because it will be her home with the man she loves. She makes a toast to Mina Escondida. Nicolas finally steps up and carries Emiliano out of there. Veronica hugs Martin and Jorge apologizes to all the guests and to Martin for the scene Emiliano made. He tells everyone that they will understand that the party can't continue.  Jorge leaves.

Martin and Veronica are still hugging and Veronica asks him how come this had to happen on a day that was supposed to be full of happiness. Martin tells Veronica not to take things too seriously because alcohol and spite doesn't mix well together. Veronica doesn't know how she can't take things too seriously if what Emiliano said were terrible. I have to ask here: If what he said was terrible then why the heck are you giving him a pass? Veronica doesn't understand where Emiliano could have gotten all those ideas about her.

Montse grills Salma with questions. Montse didn't even know Emiliano was in love with Veronica. Salma shrugs off her questions and tells her that she has to go and be with her son. 

Martin gallantly wraps his coat around Veronica and holds her in his arms to console her.

Claudia makes a nasty comment to Alfredo about Veronica's cousin being in love with Veronica. Alfredo tells her that now is not the moment to make these kinds of remarks.

Jorge approaches Martin and Veronica and once again apologizes to Martin. He had no idea that his son was so out of control. He tells Martin and Veronica that he'll see them at home. Veronica tries to tell her uncle that she's sooo ashamed but said uncle doesn't let her talk. He leaves and Veronica goes back to where she was before: into Martin's arms. Martin consoles her.

Mina Escondida

Now this scene left me a tad confused and creeped me out. Nanciyaga is at Demetrio's hovel and is preparing some kind of shampoo with rose petals that will make her smell nice for her "patron". She's also preparing something with flowers to make a rainbow colored belt. She wants her "patron" to see her illuminated and with a little bit a passion. I'm starting to doubt Nanciyaga's sanity but hey a woman who carries a machete is my kind of woman so I  will give her a pass on this.  

Club Prado Castelo

Martin is confused and sometimes thinks that Veronica really does love him. Alfredo is sure that Veronica really does love Martin because no one can lie that well. Martin notices Emiliano drunk and smoking a cigar nearby and the idiot approaches him despite Alfredo's attempts to stop him.

Martin gets Emiliano's attention. Emiliano is sarcastic with Martin and calls him a maldito traidor (damn traitor). If Emiliano weren't so drunk, Martin would respond to Emiliano's sarcastic remarks and to the offense Emiliano made to Veronica. Emiliano gets all macho and tells Martin that he can still respond like a man. Emiliano goes on over towards the sabres and grabs two. Emiliano wants the rematch right then and there and won't take no for answer. He throws his cigar on the floor and throws a sabre at Martin who catches it. Emiliano points the sabre at Martin and tells Martin to defend himself and to defend his fiancee. Martin stands there and Emiliano asks him "what's wrong?". Does Martin not want to fight if it isn't with a woman? Emiliano's eyes are bulging now and he's entering full Sergio Sendel crazy mode.

Casa Prado Castelo  

Matilde tries to give Salma pills to make her feel better. Because as we know in novelas pills and te de tila are always good for the nerves. Well nothing will make Salma feel better until she sees her son. Virginia tells her aunt that she tried to go after Emiliano but she felt like her poor weak heart was going to burst. I say: she should have risked it. Veronica enters the room and Salma lays the blame of what happened on her as expected. Jorge shows up and tries to make peace. Veronica asks if Emiliano has been found and Jorge replies that Emiliano has not been found yet. Veronica is sure Nicolas knows where Emiliano is because Nicolas knows Emiliano so well. Veronica is willing to go out and look for Emiliano as well and Virginia asks if Martin would be accompanying her in the search party. Veronica replies that he won't and adds that if Martin didn't come to the Prado Castelo home it was because he didn't think it would be prudent. 

Club Prado Castelo

Emiliano gets all violent and for dramatic effect knocks over a perfectly good lamp to the ground and smashes it and then shoves a good piece of furniture to the side. He wants to fight Martin but Martin refuses to give in to Emiliano's desires for a fight. Emiliano whacks Martin on the shoulder with the sabre and this causes Martin to defend himself. The two go at with the sabres for a few seconds until Martin has had enough of it all. Martin tells Emiliano that they'll talk when it isn't the alcohol that talks for Emiliano. Emiliano the macho jerk that he is tells Martin that he knows perfectly well what he is saying and what he is doing. He gets all up on Martin's face and looks all crazy eyes at him. Martin makes it clear to Emiliano that he won't allow him to ruin his wedding to Veronica. Emiliano whines that Martin can't love Veronica like he does. And of course nothing says that you love someone than by publicly offending that someone and ruining such a special day for that person. Yeah, you looooove her Emiliano. Nicolas calls out Emiliano's name and rushes over towards him to stop him. Emiliano shoves Nicolas away. Nicolas whips out his cellphone to make a call. Emiliano points the sabre at Martin and threatens to kill him if Martin doesn't pick up his sabre again. Martin reminds Emiliano about their pact to let Veronica choose who she wants to be with. Emiliano tells Martin that if he really loved Veronica then he wouldn't drag her off to the jungle. Martin tells Emiliano that he isn't dragging her anywhere. It's Veronica who wants to go with him. Martin tells Emiliano that he isn't the one taking his happiness away. It is Veronica's destiny. Martin assures Emiliano that he has nothing to envy him. Emiliano wants to know what the heck he's talking about. But all Martin tells Emiliano is that he'll soon understand. This isn't a good enough answer for Emiliano. He wants a clear answer. But Martin leaves and doesn't give a clear response.

Casa Prado Castelo

Jorge informs Salma that Emiliano is on his way home and that Nicolas showed up just in time to stop a duel between Martin and Emiliano.  Salma lays the blame on Veronica and Jorge rightfully lays the blame on Emiliano. Jorge wants Emiliano to be taken to his room and for Nicolas to spend the night in the guest room. Here I have to ask: Do they consider Nicolas as Emiliano's nanny? Why would he need to spend the night there? Jorge will go to bed and have a talk with Emiliano tomorrow when he has sobered up. 

Casa De Cresencio

Ana Perla has written love letters for Pablo and she'll give them to him when Pablo returns. Blanquita breaks the news to Blanquita: Nanciyaga heard Manuel say that if Pablo returned then this time Manuel would kill Pablo. Ana Perla is impactada.

Casa De Claudia

Ugh. Another scene with Claudia in sexy attire. This time she's in the bathroom and speaking via speaker phone with Virginia about the events at the party. Claudia is glad with what happened because this way Martin will realize what a "fichita" Veronica is. Virginia tells Claudia they'll talk later because she's soooo tired after the party due to her poor weak heart. Claudia hangs up with Virginia and fumes over the expensive ring Martin gave Veronica. Delusional Claudia still believes there is a chance that Martin decides not to marry Veronica because of the jealous cousin. 

Casa Prado Castelo

Emiliano and Nicolas arrive. Emiliano is drunk and is big jerk to Salma. He goes up to his room. 

Casa De Cresencio

Ana Perla doesn't want anything bad to happen to Pablo. Well, that's what Nanciyaga told Blanquita and she believes Nanciyaga. Besides, they know what a psycho Manuel is. Abuelo Cresencio enters the room and the cousins immediately stop talking. Cresencio notices they suddenly stopped talking and questions them about their reason for always becoming silent when he enters the room. Ana Perla tells Cresencio they do it out of respect. Cresnecio lets them know he has his ways of knowing what they're up to. Just let him find out that Blanquita is covering up for Ana Perla and.... Blanquita and Ana Perla change the subject and they tell Cresnecio they were remembering the good old days when he used take them out fishing and when he taught them to pick fruit. They sometimes miss that grandpa because as they grew up he became more serious. He remembers those memories as well and feels all good inside. The two cousins look at him warmly and Ana Perla tells him that they love him despite him being an old grouch. Cresencio leaves and Ana Perla hopes that with all their love Cresencio stops being such a grouch. Oh Ana Perla, it will take more than love to change that overprotective jerk....

Casa Prado Castelo

Now here is an awkward scene where it seemed like Nicolas was crushing after Salma. Salma apologizes to Nicolas for having gotten so sensitive. Nicolas uses the formal "usted" with her and asks her what he can do to make her feel better. She replies that he already did and thanks him for having brought Emiliano home safe and sound. And drunk. Don't forget drunk, Salma. She offers him the guest room so he can spend the night but he tells her that he prefers to go home because he has an early breakfast tomorrow. She tells him to take care and he asks her if she'll be alright. She replies that she will and thanks him for worrying. He tells her to go and rest and that he knows the way to the door. 

Veronica cries in her room and Matilde consoles her. Matilde wasn't able to attend the engagement party thanks to Virginia who fixed it so Salma would have her clean the silver. Anyway, Veronica admits to Matilde that with happened at the engagement party, she's afraid of what could happen at the wedding. She tells Matilde that Emiliano was all crazy and she has never seen him like this. Matilde says that sometimes love makes you crazy and especially if you are rejected. Veronica tells Matilde that she loves Emiliano and it hurts her to see him like that and it also hurt her to hear him say those things about her. He made her out to be a slut. Matilde tells her that it doesn't matter what Emiliano said because it came from his anger. But Veronica knows who she is and shouldn't care what others think. Veronica doesn't care what others think about her. She only cares what Martin thinks. Matilde reminds Veronica that Martin defended her. She is sure that Veronica will be happy.

Casa De Martin

A shirtless Martin tosses and turns in bed and can't seem to get any sleep. He turns on the lights and stares at portraits of Veronica and Demetrio. 

Casa De Botel

Magdalena tells Botel how after Padre Juan's sermon about not judging others most of the woman in town have started speaking to her again. Botel is glad to hear this. It hurt him to see the woman in town not speaking to her. Magdalena mentions the power that Cresnecio and Manuel have in town and how sometimes what those two say is obeyed. Botel changes the subject and mentions how Martin will be back in town soon. Magdalena asks him if he knows how he'll ship the gold out of Mina Escondida. Botel has it all solved. Magdalena hopes Martin will want to stay when returns but who knows what his wife will say. Magdalena says that once Martin arrives she wants to go to the city and search for her daughter. 

Street

Blanquita and Polo are happily walking in the street when all of a sudden Nanciyaga jumps out and startles them. Nanciyaga tells the siblings how she saw Ana Perla and Pablo near the river. Blanquita asks Nanciyaga not to tell anyone or else Manuel could harm Pablo. Nanciyaga knows very well what a psycho bastard Manuel is. She tells the siblings to let Ana Perla know that she must take care of her painter or else he'll be killed. 

Casa De Pablo

Pablo is about to leave for his return to the jungle. Mariana and him talk a little about his sketch of the pretty woman. Mariana didn't see a woman like that. They are all so simple and native. Pablo explains that what Montse saw was a mix of what he saw in church, the women in town, and his imagination. Mariana hopes that's the case because she'd never forgive him if he were to cheat on him when they are engaged. Pablo nervously laughs this off and says he'd better leave now. He'll be back in time for Veronica's wedding. That is if the wedding takes place. Mariana feels bad for Veronica and for everyone really. It must be horrible to have someone ruin such a special day.

Casa De Prado Castelo

Emiliano mopes around in his room and is a big jerk to his mother. Jorge reprimands him for this. Salma suggests Emiliano take a trip but all Emiliano wants is to be left alone. Emiliano has never been so humiliated and no one has ever made him feel like Veronica makes him feel. He looooves her with all his heart. Can't they understand? He's dying of pain because Veronica is marrying a dude who Veronica doesn't know well. A dude who came and took Veronica from him.

In the living room, Veronica comes downstairs and greets Martin with a kiss. Veronica asks Martin to please forgive Emiliano who wasn't himself. Martin tells Veronica he wants to ask her a question and asks that she be sincere with him. She imagines what the question is and she tells him that she only loves him. What about Emiliano? he asks. Veronica replies that Emiliano is like a brother to her. Veronica forgives Emiliano for what he did because she knows how much he is hurting because she is marrying Martin. Martin has realized just how much Emiliano loves Veronica and how Emiliano would be willing to do anything for her. Veronica tells Martin that Emiliano loving her doesn't justify his behavior. Martin asks her why she says that. Because of what happened at the party or did Nicolas tell her what happened later? For everything, she replies. She tells Martin that she loves them both but in different ways. Martin tells her that this can't continue. Veronica wants to know what is wrong. Martin tells Veronica that he'll give her an opportunity to save herself. What should I save myself from? she asks. He tells her that he can't marry her. She asks how come he can't marry her. Because Emiliano loves you, he replies. Veronica knows that Emiliano loves her but what does that have to do with anything. Well, because if Martin were to break up with her then Emiliano would marry her. Veronica asks him what the heck he is saying and Martin replies that Emiliano really loves her. And who doesn't? You? Veronica asks. You don't want to marry me because you don't love me? she asks him. 

Casa De Blanquita

Raymunda wants Joaquin to talk to Polo about what he could be up to. Didn't he see the cut on his hand? Polo made up some story which Raymunda didn't buy. She's sure that Polo is hiding something.

School
Polo notices Ana Perla is sad and asks if it's because of Pablo. Polo tells Ana Perla that Pablo is a nice guy and to wait for him. After all, Pablo defended him from Manuel and took him to the doctor. Ana Perla is not sure that Pablo will return just because he helped Polo. 

Casa De Prado Castelo
Veronica wants the truth. Does she think that he would have asked her to marry him if he didn't love her? Martin asks. Then what the heck are you talking about? she asks him. Veronica tells Martin that she doesn't love Emiliano and only loves him. But he instead of loving her back he seems to want to drive her crazy with his mood swings and comments. Martin tells her that she still has time to save herself. She has had enough with him not believing in her love. She leaves and he grabs her by the arm. She tells him that if he doesn't want to marry her then fine she'll accept it but she wants the truth. She doesn't want him to use Emiliano as an excuse. If he is going to break her illusions then she wants the truth.

Near the pool, Salma and Montse finish up their jogging. Nicolas drops by to leave some papers for Jorge. Salma asks Nicolas to help Emiliano get over Veronica but in a good way. Nicolas tells her that she doesn't have to ask. That's what friends are for. Salma would feel better if Nicolas who is Emiliano's best friend would take care of. Nicolas tells her that if it makes her feel better than he gives his word that he'll take care of Emiliano. Because after all Emiliano is a baby who needs his diapers changed. Montse sort of checks Nicolas out and Salma kind of reprimands her for this. But then tells Montse to go ahead and do what she wants. After all Montse is a widower. But she (Salma) is happily married and loves her husband.

Back to Martin and Veronica, Veronica asks Martin if he'll give up the chance to be happy. Martin looks her in the eyes and tells her that he can't leave her. She tells him that everything has been quickly and she understands that he has his doubts. She swears that she has never been certain about wanting to be with someone for the rest of her life. She already confronted her family and lost her best friend. She's determined to go to the end of the world for him. They kiss passionately and Martin asks her to forgive him. Jorge shows up and catches them kissing. He informs them that they don't have to wait six months to get married. They can get married as soon as possible. 

Pueblo Nuevo

Pablo returns to town. Pablo and Ana Perla are reunited. 

Prado Castelo Company

Veronica talks with Nicolas. She wants to leave everything ready so she can leave the company in peace. They talk a little about how her wedding was sooooo fast. Veronica tells him that she has never been so sure of anything. Nicolas is happy for her and tells her that leaving will help Emiliano. That's why Veronica is leaving as soon as she finishes the work she has left. Nicolas tells Veronica she'll be missed and Jorge will especially miss her. Veronica tells Nicolas how she's sooooo passionate about her job and how one day she'll go back to work. She has always thought that one shouldn't leave her career for anything. She is sure that Nicolas and Emiliano will do a good job. Yeah, that is if Emiliano ever leaves the bottle which I doubt. 

We get a montage of scenes as time passes: Martin and Veronica continue their romance; Martin gives Veronica  book; Ana Perla and Pablo continue their romance with Blanquita and Polo keeping guard so no one sees them; Pablo gives Ana Pearla a book; Emiliano still can't let go of the booze and continues to drink; Virginia is always around wherever Emiliano is and I'm not sure but I think she likes that he's drinking but I could be wrong; The two vipers aka Virginia and Claudia continue their little friendship. 

Time has passed and it's the big day: the day of the wedding. Matilde creepily wakes Veronica up. Veronica is all smiles. She asks Matilde if her pendant ever showed up and Matilde tells her it didn't. Veronica would have liked to have worn it. Veronica asks if Emiliano is a little better. She hasn't seen him since she left the company. Matilde tells her that Emiliano has started going back to work. She tells Veronica to give Emiliano time. Veronica is all smiles because her new life with the man who loves her begins today. 

Alfredo talks to Martin at Martin's house and tells him that he still has time to cancel the wedding and not go along with this nonsense. Alfredo has tried to talk some sense into Martin with no avail. Martin whines about the torture it has been to be close to Veronica and feel her arms. Uh, ok. Alfredo tells him that Veronica loves him (Martin) and Martin tells him that his vengeance will be better because she loves him. Alfredo asks him if he loves her. Did he fall in love with her even more during this time? Martin shows Alfredo the pendant which he always carries so he doesn't forget why he's doing what he is doing - so his brother can rest in peace. Martin says that today will be the end of the first part of his vengeance against Veronica.

Casa De Botel

Padre Juan visits Botel and Magdalena to give them a fax from Martin with the date of when Martin is returning. When Martin returns, then Magdalena will be able to go and look for her daughter with Botel. Magdalena is nervous about finding her daughter because she doesn't know how she is now. 

Casa Prado Castelo

Veronica is in her room and looks stunning in her wedding dress. There is mention from Matilde about Veronica always stroking her arm when she is worried. Veronica thanks Matilde for being there with her on this day unlike the others. Matilde says that everyone is all busy... Veronica asks Matilde to not justify them. Her aunt hasn't even come to see her. Veronica forgetting that she has Matilde with her says that she feels like the loneliest bride ever. Matilde reminds Veronica that she's there with her. We find out that Veronica and Martin are going to Europe for their honeymoon for about a month and when they return they'll go to Mina Escondida. Matilde will miss Veronica and Veronica promises that she'll come and visit and if she can't then she'll asks Martin if Matilde can come and visit. Jorge comes in to see Veronica. He wanted to tell her that despite everything,  and that his heart is split in two, he'll never forget that little girl who arrived at the house scared and alone, and who won his fatherly love. Veronica hugs Jorge and tells him that that is the best thing that he could have told her and now she can say that it's the happiest day of her life. 

Virginia is in her room and talks with Daniel and is all smiles because finally she'll be able to live in the house without Veronica. She whines about how living with Veronica was torture because Veronica was always better at everything and the center of attention. He tells her that at least she suffered through all that living the rich life while he had to suffer living in a poor neighborhood. Virginia tells him well yeah but look at you now you are a doctor and all you need is rich clients so you can give me what I want. He angrily asks her to not pressure him and she asks him to not ruin her day. She tells Daniel how she's pissed that Veronica will enjoy what dumb Demetrio had gotten for her. She assures Daniel that she will have much much more. 

Church

The wedding: Martin awaits for Veronica at the altar. Jorge walks Veronica down the aisle. Jorge hands Veronica to Martin. He hopes Martin will make her happy. The priest starts the ceremony.

AVANCES: Veronica gives her "I do" but Martin is silent when he is asked for his "I do"
