Lo Imperdonable #47 Wed 7/22/15 Claudia suelta la sopa
Now your recap:
The Old Goat and Family:
Pablo gets grilled. He tells the old goat his story: he does not come from money, he is on a scholarship that allows him to pay his expenses, he has an art show scheduled in New York which should net him enough money to buy a house in Pueblo Nuevo. The old goat freaks out at the thought of Pablo taking AP with him but Pablo promises that he won't, he has no plans to move to the city. The Old Goat questions how Pablo will manage to keep AP living in the same standard that she's used to...sorry, time for a rant:
Dear Old Goat,
Your granddaughter has spent a life time being bullied by Manuel simply because she was born with a vagina, she has been treated as a second class citizen, and as a criminal who needs to be watched at all times to prevent her from what? Having a party in her pants? More recently she has been emotionally abused by your pig of a grandson and has been locked in a shed, oh and let's not forget that she's not even allowed to read because god forbid she should get any "ideas"- I'm pretty sure AP would gladly live in a hovel like Veronica's if it meant having some freedom, what good is all the money she has now when she can't even walk down the street without you and Manuel thinking she's going to start jumping the bones of every man in town?
End of rant. PS:I'm still counting down to your death!
Pablo tells the Old Goat that he will do whatever it takes to provide a good life for AP. The OG agrees to allow Pablo and AP to get to know each other better. In other news Teo and Blanca might start to date, but it's looking iffy because Cres thinks he won't make a suitable novio for his granddaughter because, wait for it, Teo is an orphan, yeah, like that's his fault. Excuse me while I go hit my head against a wall.
Virginia and Doctor Feelgood:
Emi tells Ginny that they are going home, Virginia is over the moon to finally be leaving town, Daniel? Yeah, he's not as happy and he confronts Virginia for planning to leave without telling him. She tells him she did not say anything to avoid a scene, things get heated and Emi walks into the room, he greets Daniel with a "good morning" to which Dan replies "what's so good about it?" and walks off. Virginia tells him that Dan is angry that he has to stay longer because Botel has not returned from Mexico yet.
Later we see that Virginia and Emi missed their ride and are stuck in town for another night, again, Virginia and Dan argue and this time Emi walks in on Dan holding Virginia forcibly and wants to know what's going on, Ginny says Dan was just helping her.
In other news: According to Nanci Emi's soul is clean now and he has been healed. We also learn that Virginia really does believe she's knocked up and she's thinking of way to use the baby to her advantage.
And Magdalena is on her way to Mexico to learn more about her daughters life.
The rabid dog is let lose:
Sigh. I hate Manuel, so I'm just going to recap this by telling you all the awful things he did. Let's see, we start with Manuel running into the Santelmo hovel and interrupting one of Veronica's and Martins many, many fights, he gets in the way of crazy Marty telling Vero the truth about who he is and why he married her.
Anyhoo, he violently shoves his way into the hovel and gets into Veronica's face, he blames her for his grandfather turning on him and just as it looks like he is about to harm her Marty springs to the rescue and stabs him with the fencing sword, Manuel realizes he is no match for Marty as he is unarmed and leaves but not before promising to get even. See what you get for allowing him to get out of jail you idiots?
Oh this is just the start of his awfulness, he goes home and grabs a big a$$ knife and says that no one will catch him unarmed again, then he goes to the cantina where he gets wasted. He asks for another bottle but Ireri and co tell him that they won't be serving him any more booze, in response he takes the giant a$$ knife and holds it to Ireri's throat and threatens to kill her!
They give him a bottle of booze which Ireri smashes over his head (good girl, well done!), the impact knocks Manuel out. Ireri and the men take Manuel to a small room in the bar so he can sleep. Dude, what?! You know what you should do? Call the cops. Everyone saw what Manuel did! Either call the cops or finish him off while he sleeps because it's only a matter of time before he hurts someone. Good god, they never should have allowed him out of jail after he almost killed crazy Marty!
But wait, this gets worse. The next morning he bumps into OG and AP and when told that Pablo is now to be left alone he goes nuts. He tells his grandfather that he will regret helping AP when she gets knocked up by Pablo, he almost gives OG a heart attack but he makes it clear that he does not care what happens to the old man. Cres finally sees what a bad seed Manuel is.
And for his final act of awfulness Manuel attempts to sexually attack Ireri. Yep, he ambushes her as she's in the back room of the bar. Her poor father (who can't move!) witnesses the attack on Ireri and falls off the bed, oh sweet baby Jesus this was so horrible to watch.
Manuel knocks Ireri out and he is about to rape her when Nanci shows up, holds her even bigger knife to his throat and threatens to kill him, after all, no one likes him, and he won't be missed. Kill, kill Nanciyaga, kill! Do us a solid!
Sadly, Nanci does not kill the rabid dog and he lives another day. Nanci tends to Ireri and her dad, I like Nanci more and more each day!
Selma has some secrets:
Jorge is mad that both Emi and Ginny played him. Selma says Ginny was just helping Emiliano and Jorge questions why she is so forgiving of Ginny but not of Veronica. Why did she insist they adopt her, and why has she always shown a preference towards her and not Vero? He's not saying something's up, but somethings up and he wants to know what it is, because he's finding this very strange. Wait, what? Ginny has lived with them 20+ years and just now he's questioning things? Slow much? Selma looks hella nervous.
Now to the Santelmos:
Claudia shows up with some lame excuse about work, Veronica tells her she wants her to stay away from her and crazy Marty. Claudia let's the cat out of the bag and tells Veronica that if Marty really loved her he would not keep secrets from her, and he would have told her that Demetrio was his brother and that the hovel was his house. Vero threatens to scratch Claudia's eyes out and I'd pay good money to see that, but we've already established that I'm blood thirsty. Vero finally kicks Claudia out but sadly she does not hear the second part of what Claudia was going to say: That Martin married her not because he loved her but because he wanted revenge for the death of his brother.
Vero is going crazy and Marty finally comes home, she tells him his good friend Claudia spilled the beans and demands to know why he hid the fact that Demetrio was his brother. And my DVR cut off because the show ran over by a few minutes, hiss, boo.
And I'm out!

Uni cut the attempted rape scene here and I was grateful. Before the ad, he had his arm around Iteri's neck, after the ad, Nanciyaga had HER arm with machete around Manual's neck. Nice switcheroo. Works for me. Except now the thwarted thug is out for more vengeance.
Well, we wouldn't want the action to drag, would we?
Dang, my record of being 100 per cent wrong continues. Sweet Child Virginia really IS pregnant. And while I'm sure it's the good Doc's, hey, I'm running a 100 per cent wrong tab here.
We shall see. Thanks for a straight shootin', nicely rant-filled recap. Enjoyed it. Now off to mow the lawn. Will not enjoy that quite as much.
You forgot to mention that after Manuel's attack, Vero and Martin got busy and put the fighting aside. Thank you Claudia, for getting the fighting and revelations back on track.
The writers were heavily hinting that Salma May be Virginia's mom. I don't think it would be a stretch. I could see a young, unmarried Salma getting pregnant and the family arranges for a distant relation raise the baby. Then Salma manages to snag a rich hubby a few years later, and all of a sudden spins the story of some distant relations dying and leaving their orphaned daughter. The deaths might also be real too. In any case, it also explains why Salma is so determined to have her marry Emi.
Romy
All I am going to say about Manuel and Dr. F is: Shaking my damn head.
As for Virginia, I do not think the snake is pregnant...she told Dr. F that her menstrual cycle was late...there could be a million reason for that...the biggest one being stress...the stress that Nanci might spill the beans about her and Demetrio or Vero might decide to go back to the city with Emi.
If Salma tells the truth, both she and Virginia could be booted out into the cold (although I think if Ginny is Salma's daughter Jorge would've adopted her as his daughter).
OK: @Romy "I bet you Ginny can kill." Yaaa I wonder too. A few episodes back someone wrote up a pretty clinical description of a Sociopath concerning her. There is a fine line between a Sociopath and a Psychopath. IE: the Socio usually will not kill, the Psycho will. It remains to be seen which she is.
On what ____ing PLANET does Manual not get locked up or killed by a local resident, husband, Brother, or HOT Tribal Chick? Like watching a train wreck over and over.
"to prevent her from what? Having a party in her pants?"
"Kill, kill Nanciyaga, kill! Do us a solid!"
Ohhhhhhh that Manuel but Martin should buy that guy a beer cause if he hadn't busted all up in the house the first time Veronica would be on a slow boat to Mexico already. Martin was bout ready to pop. Martin is not confessing but conducting an interrogation and now we got Manuel playing bad cop to Martin's good cop.
Veronica is mad at the wrong person, Claudia spoke the truth.
Wow, Pablo has hit the lottery. Enjoy kids until he leaves for NY. Was funny the old goat thought Pablo was gonna whisk her away briefly.
In my opinion, I also think that Salma would not tell Jorge that Virginia is a daughter if the plan was to have her marry Emi, because it would be easier for their high society friends to swallow the idea of non related blood cousins getting married versus siblings (even though they are not blood related.
Anon 4:25 The common features of a psychopath and sociopath lie in their shared diagnosis — antisocial personality disorder. It is a very fine line. They share very similar traits.
While rare, sociopaths are capable of murder...unlike the psychopath where it is methodically planned, sociopath will kill impulsively ... an example would be when Virginia dropped her mask and went off on Claudia about Emi...had she kill Claudia right then and there, it would be because she was out of control, but the fact that when Claudia said “this is the real Virginia” and she quickly regained her composure has made me realize that I wrong and that Virginia is actually a psychopath and not a sociopath.
According the abnormal psychology, psychopaths are born and sociopaths are made (environmental). Nature vs. Nurture. There is always an exception to the rule.
Given that Jorge and Salma raised Virginia and Vero, it can’t be environmental...unless down the line they show Virginia experienced some trauma before coming to live with Jorge and Salma.
I think it is only a matter of time before Virginia kills/or attempt to kill someone. There will come a point where someone will see the "real" Virginia or become a true opposition to her getting something she wants, she will not be able to manipulate that person or the situation, and she will meticulously plan his or her demise.
Manuel didn't have his knife with him yesterday. He might have a scrambled brain but he knew that he was no match for Martin's sword. There will be a next time I'm sure.
So Jorge is finally catching on about V-snake and Selma and the Old Goat is finally catching on about Manuel. I guess that weather one lives in the big city or a small pueblo you can still be blind to what is going on around you.
Great comment Jolie. Yes I too think that V-snake can kill. I'm not drinking any tropical health food drinks at the Ginny table no matter how appealing that they may look.
Carlos---There is definitely something wrong going on here. We have been agreeing on way too many things lately. This can't be good. Yesterday and even before that people have been making negative comments on V-snakes pants. Yesterday you answered Kim ---What may be considered hideous baggy pants to one may be attractive leisurewear to yet another. Fashionable, attractive leisurewear? Well yes, I had been thinking along those lines. But let be known by all that this is the nicest thing that the gringo will be saying about the little viper.
The goddess and Marty fighting again?
Must see tv tonight.
the gringo
Yes, I'm afraid it's likely true that Ginny is indeed pregnant. I was convinced as she was already fretting about the drawbacks, especially the anticipated devastating effects on her "beautiful figure".
I humbly and respectfully submit that she has of yet done nothing to warrant labeling her as a psychopath. Of course opinions vary.
gringo,
Since I'm generally right about most things you should take comfort in our moments of agreement.
Carlos
I actually liked the pants that VSnake wore to Dim's grave. I think a fitting top would have been more appropriate.
The way VSnake dresses is all part of her facade ...especially her stupid headbands...remember how Cresensio was so impressed by the way she was dressed (lady like) and compared her to Vero.

Something that I do not understand is why the Prado Castelo kids don't call Jorge ans Selma mom and dad. Were they old enough to know that they weren't their parents or can you adopt someone as a niece and nephew.
