Lo Imperdonable #33 Wed 7/1/15 "Martin & Veronica's 24-Hour Lovemaking Marathon - The Complete Sessions"
Freedom Reigns Supreme: It's fitting that I am writing my recap of episode #33 on the first day of the month in which we celebrate America's freedom. Why? Because I am once again asserting our right to freedom from Uni's censorship. And I am doing it by showing you here ALL the scenes from episodes #32 and #33 that Uni thinks American viewers are not mature enough to watch, even though they were shown without a problem in Mexico. However, to not hurt any sensibilities, I have identified each of the clips below with what I believe would be their appropriate rating had they been shown in a movie theater. You will note this includes two clips with "NC17 ratings", so if you have any heart condition, do make sure to clear this with your own Dr. Feelgood, er, cardiologist, before you view either one of those clips. On to the recap and the deleted scenes.
(some scenes are combined; others are mentioned out of sequence for better flow)
Little Boy Emi Asserts His Maturity and Independence (Never Mind He Still Lives With His Mommy and Daddy). Drunken Emi informs his family that he is going to Mina Escondida, claiming he is only there to study indigenous tribes, which will help to design their new collection. Jorge doesn't buy it, because he could go anywhere else to study such tribes....V-Snake offers to walk Emi up to his room, prompting him to remind all of them that he is an adult and not a child. (Now, if he could just inform the producer and writers so people will stop referring to him as "little boy" Emi.) Jorge unleashes on him. Emi tells him not to worry, his very important new jewelry line will come out on time.
Crescencio Asserts His Freedom to Refuse Medical Attention. Crescencio regains consciousness and remains a grouch. He does not show the least bit of appreciation for Botel's medical attention, which includes a cardiogram with a portable machine that Botel conveniently just brought back from Mexico City. He demands that they return his granddaughter to him. He sees "little stars" and thinks someone performed witchcraft on him. Botel tells him it's just his high blood pressure. Vero then tells him she just remembered that Ana Perla told her she was going to go to the church to pray. Crescencio insists on going with Polito and his dad to search for her at the church, but Botel convinces him to stay.
Ana Perla Wonders If She Truly Can Assert Her Freedom to Choose Her Own Husband. Ana Perla tells Padre Juan that Vero and Martin told her she can decide her own life once she turns 18 years old; she asks him if it's true nor not. He says that yes, by law once she becomes an adult she can do as she pleases. But, the problem is that "the law" in that town is her grandpa Crescencio. That's what worries her, because he also married off her mother to a man of his own choosing, and though that turned out well, Ana Perla knows that will not happen with her....On their way to the church, Polito and his father chat about Crescencio; Polito wonders if grandpa will get well. His father tells him not to worry, that his grandpa just doesn't realize how he hurts himself with everything he does....Ana Perla and Blanquita have known since they were kids that their grandpa planned to choose their husbands for them, and she always thought that was ok because she figured it was just a family tradition, but now she can't accept it. Polito and his dad arrive and inform then both how upset her grandpa was when he didn't find her, though he is not upset now because he got sick in the San Telmo's home. Ana Perla is impactada by the news.
V-Snake Helps Emi Assert His Freedom to Destroy His Liver. Emi sits on his bed contemplating a photo of Veronica, asking her whether or not he should go see her, wondering if she is happy. V-Snake comes in to help him "relax" by giving him a new bottle of hard liquor. (How thoughtful of her.)....Emi takes the bottle from her hand and guzzles the hard liquor straight up like so much clear water, but he clearly couldn't care less that V-Snake is in the same room....Later on, V-Snake is in her own room, asking herself how Emi could turn her down, as if he were such a great thing. She is sure that sooner or later Emi will be begging her to be his.....Much later in the episode, Salma visits V-Snake in her room and informs her that she plans to talk to Jorge about them "sending" Emi on a trip. V-Snake suggests she can help by talking Emi into taking a trip with her to their home in Cancun. Later Salma goes to Jorge and convinces him to go along with this "brilliant" idea, with the two of them later joining V-Snake and Emi in Cancun. (So much for Emi's independence.)
Manuel Asserts His Freedom to Do As He Well Pleases, Crescencio Be Damned. Manuel shows up and his aunt informs him that they are all worried because they can't find Ana Perla anywhere. Manuel couldn't care less. Ana Perla is old enough to take care of herself. Besides, he's not helping look for her because grandpa won't even be grateful to him, especially since he just took away his job.....As if we could care less, we are now forced to see a scene in which Manuel feels sorry for himself, for the way Crescencio always gave preference to Ana Perla and did nothing but scold him. He wishes he had gotten a little more love and a little less whippings. (Boo Hoo. Cry us a river, Manuel.)
Crescencio Yet Again Asserts His Freedom to Refuse Medical Attention. Ana Perla, Polito and his dad return to the hovel to pick up Crescencio. Ana Perla worries when Botel tells them that Crescencio can't just leave in that condition. He needs to see a doctor who can run tests on his heart. (Hard to check something that doesn't exist.) Crescencio gets apoplectic and insists on leaving, but not without first warning the San Telmos not to put any "ideas" in his granddaughter's head. When they leave, Botel tells Malena, Martin and Vero that Crescencio needs to see a cardiologist urgently. (The "Crescencio Death Watch" is now in high gear.)
Dussage Asserts His Freedom to Not Answer Sensitive Questions. Dr. Feelgood is awaiting an important call from V-Snake and asks the front desk attendant Romeo to inform him as soon as she calls. When he leaves, Dussage asks Romeo if he already sent a fax to his friend in France. He reprimands Romeo when the boy blurts out that the "friend in France" is Teo's father. He tells him he sent the fax that morning but has not gotten any response, then wonders if Teo's father truly will recognize him as his son. Dussage tells him he'll pretend he didn't hear the question and then leaves.
The San Telmos and the Botels Are Free To Daydream That They Can Teach Old Dogs New Tricks. Malena and Botel thank Martin and Vero for the lovely dinner. Vero lauds Botel for his patience with Crescencio, who has such an old-fashioned way of seeing life, which she thinks is dangerous. (Cue the "public service announcement" music, as all four of them talk about the importance of educating people, especially those set in their old ways.) Vero offers to teach all people of all ages, not just the town's children. Martin claims that when he arrived there his goal was to bring in better transportation and communication equipment, but he guesses education should come first, as if the two goals are necessarily mutually exclusive. Vero extols the virtues of NanC's tribal medicine. Botel (the medical doctor) agrees much can be learned from NanC's tribe.
Crescencio Asserts Death's Freedom to Come And Get Him Whenever It Wants. Crescencio ruins the "happy family" atmosphere by again getting worked up and scolding Ana Perla for disappearing. She asks him to stay calm so they can take him to a doctor the next morning. He'll have none of it. When it's my turn to die, it will be so, he declares.....Later, Ana Perla tells Blanquita that she wants to die of anguish just imagining what is going to happen to her. Blanquita warns her to be more careful, lest their grandpa finds out of her love for Pablo. Meanwhile, Blanquita's own parents are having a heated argument about the same subject, with her mom siding with Crescencio and her husband saying he has no right to impose a husband on Ana Perla. Polito spies on them and gets sad when he sees his father angrily storm off after his mother tells his father he has no business butting into HER family's affairs....Polito waits until his father returns and tells him he doesn't want him and his mom to separate. His father tells him not to worry; he still loves his mother and they will always be together.
Mariana and Her Mother Are Free to "Dream On" About Pablo's Commitment. What can we say, other than these two are completely deluded, with Mariana convincing her momma that she is just giving Pablo a breather and that once he has had his art show in New York they surely will marry. After her mom leaves, Mariana answers a call from Pablo, who is calling to say goodbye. When he hangs up, he is relieved. Mariana, on the other hand, has tears in her eyes.
Martin and Veronica REPEATEDLY Exercise Their Freedom to Make Love:
Side note: for the benefit of readers who have questioned Martin's virility and stamina, it's worth noting that only about 24-hours go by in the life of our two lovebirds from the moment we see their "Waterfall R-endezvous at Sunrise" in Episode #30 through the end of this Episode #33. In case anyone didn't notice, from that first "session" and for most of this new episode, they wore the same clothes. No amount of lovemaking motivated them to bathe or even change their clothing. And boy did they have numerous sessions - by my count, they had six sessions through the end of this Episode #33. The first session was in Episode #30, as you all know. The second session was in Episode #31 immediately after they caught their breath from the first one, though it was innocent enough that Uni did not cut it out. The third session (R rating) was in Episode #32 and happened when they decided to "practice making babies" before their dinner guests arrived. But you wouldn't know it because Uni cut out the last 10 seconds showing them heading into their bedroom to baptize their bed, as shown here:
The fourth session (NC17 rating - not for the faint of heart): Martin and Veronica are cuddling in bed. He asks her if she is happy. She says she is happier than she ever imagined she could be. He wishes that moment were eternal. So would she, but since that's not possible, she suggests that "these encounters occur with as much frequency as possible." He, of course, is happy to oblige. Uni, on the other hand, would like you to believe nothing really happened, but here's what Televisa showed its viewers:
End of Part 1
Part 2
The fifth session (NC17 rating - REALLY not for the faint of heart!!!!): The next morning, it is a bright, sunny day in Mina Escondida, barely the first sunrise since that epic waterfall sunrise in Episode #30. Martin and Veronica awaken in each other's arms. He says "good morning, Mrs. San Telmo." She says "good morning, esposo mas cumplido y trabajador" (roughly, "most fulfilling and hard-working husband" - I BET!!!!!!!) He asks if she slept well. She says yes and starts to get out from bed. He stops her and asks where she is going. She wants to go get him a cup of coffee. He tells her the coffee can wait and they begin to kiss again. Uni would like you to think that's all that happened, but here's what Televisa showed its viewers:
(Brief cut to V-Snake going into Emi's room and realizing that he is not there; she thinks he played a fast one and already left town....In a later brief cut-away from the lovebirds, V-Snake is sitting on Emi's bed when she hears him call out "Veronica" from his bathroom. She goes over and finds him half asleep over the toilet.....V-Snake stares at Emi and smirks, then walks out and let's him continue his siesta on the toilet. She picks up the bottle of liquor and tells herself she doubts he is now in any condition to travel to Mina Escondida.)
The sixth session (R-rating; still pretty darn good!!!): Back to the two lovebirds, again cuddling, while Veronica holds up and stares at her V-pendant. He tells her he is the happiest man in the world and wants to recover every second of happiness they've lost. He wants to love her every second of the day and make her happy. She confides to him that when she lived in the boarding school she had many moments of loneliness, and she always longed to have someone to love her like this. Despite her many bad moments, she always thought that it would be like this - incredible - once she found the man she would love. She thanks him for making her so happy and they begin to kiss again. She then tells him her V-pendant reminds her of her family, but since HE is now her family she feels protected and fulfilled. "Before I didn't want to lose you, but now I can't imagine life without you," she adds. "So now I am going to put away this pendant." (Here I elected to go with Uni's edit and leave out an "ooops moment" that Uni cut but that we saw on Televisa's broadcast. Basically, she flips over his body to reach over to the nightstand to put away the pendant, and in the process of flipping over she flashes a bit too much flesh, which promptly showed up on social media.) Anyhow, Martin is impactado by her move because she is reaching into the same drawer in which he put the other V-pendant.....Thinking quickly, Marting grabs the pendant in her hand and tosses it in the drawer, then pulls Vero back to him and flips her back under him. He tells her all she said to him is very important to him. She tells him that not even all the love from her nana, her uncle, or Emi could fill that space inside her heart that was reserved just for him. "I feel like I'm part of something, of my own family, the family I'm starting with you and that one day we will share with our children." He tells her the kids can wait a little bit, because right now he only wants her for him. Uni cut the next part too, but here's what Televisa showed its viewers:
Poor Emi - He Is Only Free to Choose Cancun or a Rehab Clinic. Alberto drops off Claudia at the airport. She tells him she has great chemistry with Emi, and since she has no chance with Martin now, she might as well have a "lit candle" with someone who she really likes. And who has a lot of money, adds Alberto the sage. Pablo shows up and says he is ready to go. Claudia tells him she needs someone else and calls Emi's cell. He wakes up in the bathroom and realizes it's late and he should be at the airport. Claudia is restless. Emi calls Nicholas and berates him, telling him he is an idiot for not calling him and now he is missing his flight. Nick suggests he check his messages and reminds "little boy" Emi he is his friend, not his nanny. Bravo, Nick. Emi calls Claudia and informs her he'll be missing the flight. Then the entire Prado Castelo clan walks into his room, unannounced, and Jorge basically gives him an ultimatum - it's either a trip to Cancun with VSnake or a trip to a rehab clinic. (With that choice, the rehab clinic sounds tempting. But, alas, Emi chooses Cancun.
Crescencio Declares Ana Perla's Freedoms Are Kaput; She Declares She is Free to Choose Her Own Husband. Grandpa, Manuel and Ana Perla return to their home in Pueblo Nuevo, and Crescencio promptly declares that Ana Perla's "permissions" are over and done with. (Huh? What permissions? Color me befuddled.) Ana Perla apologizes for causing him to get ill, but she still has a surprise for him, asserting her independence to choose a husband. "Forgive me, but I will never obey you when it comes to this. I will not marry someone I do not love." About time, Ana Perla.
End of Part 2.

Can anyone tell me what was the snippet of the first song that Claudia sang at the Karaoke bar? I've heard the song before in another telenovela and it is driving me crazy that I can't identify it. I tried using Shazam on my iPhone but it would only inform me that the music was from Lo Imperdonable.
Loved all the headings. Thanks so much for including the clips of what Uni cut. I can't believe they cut Vero and Martin heading into the bedroom.
Can't stand Raymunda. And could care less about woe is me Manuel. I love Joaquin. He's the only sane adult in that family.
First the sleeves of Claudia's blouse. Now Vero's hairbrush. What is Nanciyaga up to?
"V-Snake Helps Emi Assert His Freedom to Destroy His Liver" -- LOL
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WdkdKaLmms
But I just watched the uncensored clips. Why would they not show that? Thats barely PG
rated let alone R. What do they think, the people in america can't bear to see that? I've seen more than that on american soaps that should have been rated R. In the middle if the day. They're acting like the old geezer who wont let ana perla sit next to a man in church. They should put a black dot in the middle of the screen so it wont hurt our eyes.
Whatever. Remind me again, what is NC17?
"R Rating: Restricted movies contain adult themes in abundance. So much so that anyone under 17 requires a guardian to get into the movie. They can contain any of the following: violence, drug abuse, sexuality, profanity, nudity, or other adult themes (among other things). An R rating constitutes a strong warning toward parents to investigate the content of a movie more thoroughly before they take their children to see them. Most R rated movies are considered to be too adult oriented for the average minor to view. R rated movies, as well as PG-13 rated movies usually contain a brief description of why they are given the rating they are. A typical listing would look something like this: Rated R for pervasive graphic violence, brief nudity, and some strong language. The modifiers like pervasive, brief, and some, are intended to let a parent know how much of a given element to expect in a movie."
"NC-17 is the classification that succeeded the now outdated X rating for movies. Movies that receive this classification are considered too adult in nature for any children to see. No one under 17 is allowed into the movie. It contains several of the themes found in an R rated movie in abundance. It is not meant to classify a film as obscene, merely as one that children should not see. The qualifications for an NC-17 movie are that it goes beyond the scope of an R rated movie in its portrayal of the themes in question.

I loved it when Nicolas told Emi that he was his friend and not his nanny. Ha!
I also loved the ultimatum for Emi - rehab or Cancun. Emi needs rehab though. Sending him Cancun is a guarantee that he'll be out partying and drinking. Don't Jorge and Salma know what goes on there in Spring Break?
Good for Ana Perla. Hope she sticks to her guns and doesn't let the old goat force her into a marriage.
Thanks for the recap. Excellent as always. And what else can I say but thanks for not treating us like children and including the cut scenes. It is so greatly appreciated. As Nina pointed out, we see more on daytime soaps.
Joaquin is my hero. I can't stand Reymunda. She is just like her father. Joaquin is awesome, and a great dad. She is lucky to have a man like that.
Pablo is in denial if he thinks he didn't hurt Mariana. He's going back to Mina Escondida all happy, meanwhile Mariana is a big ol' mess. But in all honesty, Mariana and especially her mother are the ones that brought up the marriage thing. I don't even think Pablo ever proposed. Why would Mariana want to marry someone that was tricked into a marriage by her mother?
Boy o boy, Vero and Martin are on their honeymoon for sure now. They can't keep their hands off each other. I am going to enjoy it while it lasts. I am loving that sexy smile on Ivan Sanchez.
Hasta pronto...
I would very much appreciate a quick head's up on whether you guys are enjoying this novela and think it is worth watching. I don't mind rewrites if the plot varies enough to be interesting.
Please provide your 2 cents worth.
I enjoyed the recap, especially your freedom speech and the way you chose to express it, by showing us some hot love making. :) It was nice, but not that big a deal, actually. YES, we've all seen more skin on daytime soaps, so what is Uni's problem?
It's not like Televisa got too audacious, anyway. You could see how much Martin/ Ivan was trying to cover them with that sheet, which is part of the way they usually play these scenes.
Some of you surely watched Robo - now those were love scenes - no sheets or other garments in between, just the two actors and some very precise camera angles, meant to cover some of Angelique Boyer's skin.
In what world does Ana Perla live? Did she think that she will always have to obey her grandfather? Isn't she supposed to be well read or something? Maybe she should stop borrowing Pierre's classics (how much can a 21st century girl learn from D'Artagnan's adventures?) and read a women's rights essay or something. No wonder she's still waiting for Pablo to commit to her.
"needs to see a doctor who can run tests on his heart. (Hard to check something that doesn't exist"
Logically if Crescencio chose Ana Perla's father and by her own admission he did a good job, Crescencio also chose Joaquin for Raymunda, also a very good choice. Despite hating what Crescencio represents he's batting a 1000 and Ana Perla should just shut up. Pablo or someone similar to Joaquin, no contest.
It doesn't bother me the love scenes were cut, it is clear to me they are like two teenagers discovering sex. This isn't last tango in paris.
I'm disappointed Emiliano didn't make that plane cause the Ana Perla, peril, and a weekend in Cancun with Virginia flat isn't enough counter to the marathon sex sessions of Veronica and Martin.
I hate to say this, but I'm thinking Univisión made a good decision to cut some of the whoopie scenes. The implication – the mischievous smile, the buttoning or unbuttoning of a shirt, the conspiratorial glances exchanged – is enough for me. (Or to quote the wonderful tofie, "This isn't last tango in paris.")
Mauricio, the items Nanciyaga is collecting come from the women she sees as her rivals for Marty's love. I feel some brujería coming on. : )
And thanks for the ratings imfo.
The fourth clip I missed. I didn't see it until I started reading the rest of the recap. Which was spot on. Those clips don't leave alot to the Imagination. But like I said thats what is shown on American TV. Maybe they are being careful not to get the censor people upset. Of course if they're not upset about what's on American TV over here they probably won't get upset about what's coming across the border either. Maybe they're being cautious.
I don't care about the love senses, they could have switched to something else after he picked her up going towards the room, we all know what was coming. But I think they wanted It to look as real as possible, and it did.
It's good they are loving each other this way, it 'll have to hold them until they come back from the brake up that is surely coming. And then theres marty jr. Shes probably pregnant
With him or martietta as we speak. One of those sperm got in. ;-)
Please help me because I don't see where you are posting the links for those of us who wish to watch both to make our own determination on the cut scenes.
Would you please be so gracious as to repost the link.?
The way you made the clips available is fine. You either watch it or don't watch it. You are giving us the option, which I appreciate. I like to see the story as it was written.
I am liking that Julio is getting more screen time. I hope he finds happiness.
Emi is annoying. He is acting like a child. I feel the need to FF through his scenes, especially if the scene involves Claudia and music.
For some reason my Samsung Note 4 does not support Adobe Flash but I was able to watch the alternative scenes fine.
It's really annoying the censored / uncensored thing with Univision and Televisa, especially when they start censoring episodes on Youtube with no rhyme or reason.
Thanks.
I'm disappointed in how wimpy Emi is turning out to be. A heartsick drunkard was not what I was expecting with this character, especially since Sergio Sendel is the actor. I watched him in LQLVMR and so I thought this new character would be threatening just like the antagonist in the other soap, but that's not how it's playing out. Actually, I find Emi the drunk so boring. I wish the writers would give him something else to do besides cry over Veronica.
the gringo
I had to laugh at Emi's options- rehab or Cancun (drinking capital of Mexico). Ok...Jorge and Salma are idiots.
Writers: OK I get it. Marty and Vero are busily doin the horizontal bop. Enough. If I was interested in watching other people doing these things it is my understanding that those sort of sites are widely available on the internet. Lets get on with killing the Old Goat, etc. and other fun things.
Waiting for Nanci to cast spells on her mating rivals whose private belongings she has shrewdly bartered for. Fear the snail circle, girls.
