Caray, Caray!

Sorry this is so late! I have no excuses, I just forgot. This recap is essentially me recapping as I watch using my handy-dandy laptop, so bear with me if it's a little unpolished. There's also probably scenes I missed while I was typing other scenes up, so fill in as needed! At least I have a full recording this time!
After the old, we pick up where we left off, with Daniel asking MD to marry him. He tries some bull about how the engagement ring was a family heirloom, meant for the woman he clearly loves, blah blah blah.....MD is like, "Yeah, we'll talk later, I have trial business to take care of." So she leaves, and immediately after, the thugs Daniel hired pull up. They're not happy with him either. Daniel promised no problems, and Daniel had better make sure things continue to sail smoothly, or MD will learn he hired them, capiche?

Ursula tells Alma Max is dating Maria Dolores.

Maria Dolores brings Fermin into the jail to identify the murderers. Max gives MD bad news: Despite Fermin being willing to identify the murderers, they're not going to be able to clear Julian unless they can find the person who originally loaned him that suspicious wad of cash. Julian looks sad in a jail cell.


Daniel tries to convince the thugs to come willingly to testify(?) so they aren't forcibly summoned. Lead Thug takes this as a threat, gets mouthy with Daniel, so Daniel gets mouthy back.

Ursula tells Alma all about how heartbroken Maleny is about the breakup with Max. But ah well, Maleny had been expecting this. Max used to beg her to marry him, but lately, zilch! Alma is understandably skeptical. She doesn't believe her son would lead Maleny on like that.Ursula knows he wouldn't. Max and Maleny are good children with values, unlike that slut Maria Dolores! Then she promptly goes on to gossip about how MD and Max are meeting so often in her neighborhood over trivial things. Alma's like, well, of course they're meeting. He's her lawyer. Ursula isn't finished. Maleny saw her going to his apartment late at night! The hussy! And it's not enough she's banging her lawyer. Daniel rejected her, so she hired thugs to beat him up AND is deliberately causing problems between him and Ivana! Alma is skeptical, but she remembers being told about the beating, plus Ursula pulls the "we're neighbors, would I lie to you?" card, so I guess she's now part of the We Hate Maria Dolores Club. Ugh.

Stuff I didn't quite get with MD and the thugs. Threats all around.

Daniel is still obsessed with MD. He tells the lawyer to help him marry MD and Ivana both. Lawyer is like, "Uh, bigamy's illegal." Daniel: "I'll only legally marry Ivana then! Bwahaha, I am so smart!" This is a brilliant plan and in no way will blow up in his face.

The judge asks Fermin if he's okay to testify. Fermin is.

Daniel and Ivana act affectionate throughout their couple photoshoot, but Ivana knows about Maria Dolores and she's pissed. I wonder how he's going to weasel out of this one. His family pulls him aside to tell him not to fuck this one up. Ivana needs to believe Daniel loves her!

Fermin testifies. MD comes back in time to watch.

Isela flirts hard core with Claudio under the guise of talking about Alma's and his anniversary. She's interrupted by Orlando, who gets into a hardcore snit when Isela introduces him to Claudio as an amigo only. Claudio's not a complete idiot though, and he picks up on the tension. Isela lies and says his love is unrequited.

Fermin's testimony will probably get Julian out of jail. Max and MD decide to go out to lunch to celebrate.

Ivana goes absolutely OFF on Daniel and his family for lying to her about Maria Dolores. Daniel is all, "Fine! I don't want to marry a woman who would believe such stupid rumors anyway! I thought you were INTELLIGENT!" Ivana screeches in frustration.

But Ivana tells her aunt she's planning on pretending like the engagement is still on, at least until her collection is out. And then after her aunt leaves she throws a jealous tantrum.

Why did Fermin jump out of the car? Anyway, that happened.

Joselfa buys a tabloid with Ivana and Daniel's pics in it and shows it to Esperanza simply to ruin her day and make her anxious about MD's eventual doom when Ivana figures out who she is. A little late there, sweetie.

MD has barely eaten on her lunch date with Max. She's just so confused. But Max makes it clear. Daniel is dating Ivana. He's beeen lying all along. He CAN'T marry MD even if he wanted to. She's shocked,, but it makes him rushing her off at the sight of Ivana make more sense than it did. She asks Max for Daniel's address. She's going to go see him, no matter how much Max protests.

Daniel's family bitches at him hard core about losing Ivana. But Dan has a plan, despite his family's skepticism.

Josefa spreas her MD related poison to Honoria, promises she'll help Julian see what sort of woman MD is.

Daniel crawls in to see Esperanza, who promptly smacks him(not nearly hard enough,) and demands to know how he plans to do right by MD when he is engaged to someone else! *waves offending tabloid*

MD shows up at Daniel's house, and...End of ep!
