Yo No Creo En Los Hombres #19 Fri 8/7/15: Wham, Bam, What a Sham

Parte 1~~

Daniel catches his mistake and glibly promises to marry Maria Dolores in a proper church as soon as they might be able to, mourning and the added expense being his two major considerations.  Mama Esperanza and MD are glad to hear it—and in the end both women say sí, sí, sí as Viewerville screams at the screen, “--Oh no, no, no!!!!!”

Gerry is coaxing Ivana out of bed.  (We note the matching purple in Gerry’s choice of shirt and Iva’s nightgown which serves to confound those of us in Viewerville who are currently laying bets as to which team talented Gerald bats for.)  Work has never betrayed her, so alright.  She’ll go back today.

In the barrio, a nurse and her AA sponsor arrive at Honoria’s home to help out with Fermin’s illness.  Honoria is shocked to see two respectable-looking individuals there instead of the two drunks she thought their doctor seemed to be advocating.  Oooops!  Her bad.

Clara is excited to think that she’s in good now with Leo’s parents.  Espy disagrees, but not to worry about that.  There’s her big sis’s wedding to get ready for.  Clara is totally opposed, but Mama says it’s not what she’d wanted either, but if MD says she’s okay with this then she’s not going to object.

Claudio calls in to his office to check in on things and asks Isela to stay evenings with him there so he can help her study the law.   Alma arrives there with a rejuvenated smile on her face and thanks Ise for the romantic assist the night before.  We find out that she’s using the hubster’s office to have a chat on marital strategy with Maleny.  Mal tells Alma that Daniel never felt a thing for Ivana—that it was forced on him by their mother.  Now that that’s been exposed, he’s gone back to MarDi and is going to marry her.

Alma wants to help seal the marital deal between Mal and Max especially now that he’s admitted he’s got feelings for MarDi.  Mal looks like she’s on an elevator that’s headed to the bottom of the shaft at full speed.  She’s got to stomach a woman in her home that’s stealing her fiancé from her –the man she luhhhhhhhvs.   Max will have to forget her says Alma; she’s woman enough to win him back, she’s certain.

Meanwhile, Gerry’s in prep mode for the fashion show.  Iva starts getting stomach pains.

Mal invites Max to MarDi and Dan’s courthouse marriage that morning.  Max is hit-me-in-the-face-with-a-shovel impactado.

At the same time, Ivana’s Aunt Susana has come to tell Ursula their deal is caput.  A down and dirty dogfight ensues.  Sue’s glad the wedding’ been called off.  It’s saved her the need to persuade her niece what a couple of nouveau-riche opportunists her children are.  G-r-r-r-sula replies just as snidely that she’s glad her sister has died so that Susana doesn’t have to live in her shadow of beauty and can continue enjoying the fortune and fame that she had absolutely no part in creating!  “—Look who’s talking!  Hector rescued you from selling groceries in that little store where you were selling soda pop!”   Grrrsula says she’s just pissed at the thought of having to move out when Daniel moved in.   “—Cool it.  Ah, it’s not necessary now.”  “--Hopefully she’ll marry another man and throw you out like you deserve!”  "--There won’t be another man and the only one was Daniel and we know the reason, don’t we.  So now he’s back where he belongs, to his roots and he’s with a nobody lowlife like him!”  Susana turns on her heel and struts out, having won Battle of the Bitches (woof-woof), Round One.

Grrrsula then gets a phone call from Alma who’s there to sympathize over sons attracted to females of the lesser class.  Grrrsula says not her case at all.  MD doesn’t mean a thing to Daniel.  “—Then why’s he getting married at this very moment to her?”  Grrrsula’s false teeth to a double bounce.

The justice of the peace “presents” himself at MarDi’s house where the wedding is just about to start.  He wants to begin but MD needs her witnesses.  The judge says they’re not necessary and there’s some discussion about a previous document and some other document that Dan presents in a file of some sort.  (I couldn’t understand this part of the legal discussion that well.)  Just then there’s a knock at the door and Mal and Max appear.  The witnesses…..Max exits due to a last minute phone call.  Maleny excuses herself and chases after Max.

Alma’s on the phone looking for Max.  He explains he’s at MD’s place with Mal for her and Dan's wedding.  The judge is there already.  She’s nervous and says Dan’s mother didn’t know about this and is on her way.  No telling what she’ll do.  Max senses there is something odd about this whole marriage thing.  He looks over at Maleny.  She looks sheepishly back at him.

Across the way, Julian excuses himself cuz he’s got to get to MarDi’s wedding.  Honoria’s not going and tells Juli that he has no business going either, considering the way the woman’s tortured him all this time.  Juli’s embarrassed as he heads out-- as is the AA lady, being caught in the middle of this family feud bidnez.

Grrrsula shows up at the entrance to the barrio just as Josefa and Ise are heading to the wedding.  Josefa watches as Mal and Max get and ear load and Josefa gets a thrill since she gets to dip her oar into the water also.  She starts claiming Maria Dolores is a tramp who’s been involved with every young man in the neighborhood.

They can hear the fray from inside MD’s home and Daniel races out to tell his mother it’s a total sham and that Mal will explain it all later.  It’s all part of the plan!

At the same time, Ise complains to her mother for badmouthing MD that way and tells her to stop making her look bad in front of the Bustamonte’s.  She’s acting like a foul-mouthed hag!  No, the foul-mouthed hag is that rich-bitch, answers Jose.

Max decides he’s heard and seen enough. He tells Mal they’re leaving and he doesn’t know why they’re there in the first place. In the car, Mal notes that Max is one mad dude.  He gets it back under control and they drive away without a word.

Dan returns and the wedding continues.  FF>>FF>>

Back at the Santaibañez manse, Mal swears to the lawyer and her mama that Danny Boy’s marriage is totally faked but she doesn’t know more than that.  All he wants is to get into bed with the gal and who knows what he’s mixed up in….  Ursula is thinking ahead.  There will be consequences he's not thought about.  What will Ivana and the rest of their circle think of them once they hear what Daniel’s done with that girl?!!!??!  Me-Me-Me-first-Maleny could give a rat’s patooty, she says.  Let him get his fill and dump her and finally they’ll be done with it!!  Life can return to normal.  Not so fast, says Mama.  We don’t know if he’s deceiving her or deceiving us with that seamstress!

A bit later, Clara and Leo discuss the wedding and the upcoming church wedding they’ve got to plan now.  It’s expensive and they need to sell the dress design that MD’s drawn up.  Who’s got that kind of dough?  Leo’s mama of course.  He’s going to show it to her and try to get her to sell the idea to one of her rich friends.

Dan leaves MD off at the church and takes a call from his shifty lawyer.  “—What an actor, huh?”  Yeah.  What’s next that he needs to do.  Nothing now that the lawyer got together all the stuff he asked him for.  “—As soon as I return I will never see Maria Dolores again!”

End of Parte 1~~
===================================
Parte 2~~

MD and Danny Boy spend their supposed honeymoon in Acapulco.  He tells her that they’re having their church wedding on Friday.  She calls to let the family know.

That night, Ise and Claudio discuss a bit about how hard it will be to study and have a job at the same time.  He’s going to help her.  They share a sensual hug that both know is forbidden.  She then meets Orlando outside and Claudio passes by.  They share a meaningful look that neither is sure the other is feeling or understanding.  (Certainly I am not.  He isn’t so stupid as to realize he’s not a young man any longer so if he falls into the trap I am not going to shed tear one.)

Back at the apartment, Mal tries to act sweet and sorrowful.  (What’s sorrowful is the act Mal is putting on right then.)  Max is too up tight to respond and when she pushes to know why he doesn’t ask her to marry him anymore he says he got tired of asking and being told she wasn’t ready.  Now he’s the one who isn’t ready.  Besides, he now realizes that the nature of their love has changed.  (Uh, his love for her cuz Viewerville knows she doesn’t really give a cracked carrot for him.) Heck, he says, they’ve known each other since they were kids. So many things have happened now that have pushed them apart that he doesn’t know if they should be together any longer.  She promises to do everything she can to make it like it was for him before.   He hugs her but we all know it’s out of pity for the hurt he thinks he’s causing her….

Meanwhile, Daniel and MarDi enjoy their supposed wedding night which turns out to be a consummatory delight.  (Ugh!  The guy looks like a poorly sheared poodle--and a mangy one at that!  He gives me the heaves just to look at him, let alone imagining him as a leading man of any sort.)

Back in the barrio, the AA sponsors are told by Honoria and Julian that Fermin The Vermin is not a family member, but just a bum off the street they are trying to help out.  Ooooops.

Leo shows his mother the dress design and Alma says sure she’d wear the dress—until she finds out it is a design by MD.  Claudio walks in just as Leo is explaining why she needs to sell the thing and learns that MD got married that day to Daniel and is getting married in the church to her that Friday.

Orlando and Ise argue over her learning the law and becoming an attorney.  Orlando starts to suffer from identity crisis.  He says he’s only a mechanic.  He can understand her wanting to learn how to use a computer, but the law?  And anyway he doesn’t like the idea of the old man—her boss—staying there late at night with her.  What’s he up to anyway?  Ise says it’s his job; he’s a law professor.

Ise goes inside and realizes that Jose’s been eavesdropping.  She warns Ise that Orly's becoming be a real problem for them.  Better to let him down now while it’s easy rather than later on, the sooner the better.

Claudio tells Leo and Alma that Daniel has acted childishly (try more like a foolishly dangerous  teen aged prank) about all of this and that his mother should have put her foot down--as if she hadn’t—but that this is none of their business and they’re to steer clear of it all at this point and that’s that!  (The great and powerful Oz has spoken!)

Julian is taking up a donation for the two barrio bro’s who are still locked up in jail to get them bail money.   Jose sticks in her nasty oar again thinking it’s for MD’s poor man’s wedding and Honoria tells her to keep her nasty thoughts to herself.

The next day at the club, Ari sees Mal swimming off her frustrations in the pool.  She whines about having to learn from Max’s mother what he’s too timid to admit to himself or to tell her.  She’s got to find a way to get him to marry her!  Ari’s got to help her, too, she says!  He needs to warn her every time Max comes to the barrio.  They need each other and it’s got nothing to do with money…..

Danny Boy drops MarDi off back at the barrio and says he’ll be back later on.  Max, it seems, is spying on the two of them in his car from a bit further down the street.  She suddenly looks worried.  “—But you are going to come back, right?”

                                      (To Be Continued…..)

Jardinera- Perfect title, and an excellent part 1!

Well, Dan got what he wanted-- a fake marriage and a very willing MD in bed. But how does he'll get away with just dumping her afterwards when EVERYONE knows about it? Does he really think that in his circle no one thinks a lowly seamstress is important enough to get upset about him committing marital fraud (a crime, I presume) and generally being a grade A asshole?

Thanks Jardinera. True Vivi, he got what he wanted. But I'm betting it will take a while before he gets tired of her and he strings her along for more. I know this is very mean of me to say and I will forever feel bad for it, but I can't wait to see MD's face when she finally learns that he tricked her. I'm so mad at her for believing him, she's getting what she deserves.

Can I say "Called It!!" Ivana is pregnant.

I think the whole plot point of seducing Bustamonte for payback is idiotic. Is Isela willing to actually have sex with him?

I like that interesting bit of info about Ursula's origins. She was a poor shop girl who married up.

Cathyx: ITA with all that.

ViviDC: I'm just as curious to know if Daniel doesn't think Max would care enough about MD to advise her to sue him, but I think he's faked other stuff that would prevent her from either learning the truth about it being a sham marriage and/or to prevent her from trying to pursue him legally.

Gracias, Jardinera. I don't envy you this episode. I am also betting that Ivana is pregnant.
Here's hoping that MD doesn't end up that way as well. I hate the idea of Danny-Boy's DNA being continued.

Honoria needs therapy badly. Or to watch novelas. She's never heard "El corazon no se manda"? She can't command MD's feelings and Julian is a grown man yet she still treats him like a child.

Josefa is another head case altogether. What I think of her can't be said here.

Was the pregnancy reveal from the avances? I thought it was at the end of this one.

I think that Julian will end up with the woman from the AA counseling.

Thanks for part 2 Jardinera. I personally think Dan isn't half bad looking. (I'm ducking right now)

Thank you vey much for the recap Jardinera! I figure Univision must have cut the love scene and, if they did, I think this would be the first time the viewers are happy with the cut, haha.

Cathyx: You are not alone. The first time I saw Flavio he was playing a good guy, he was part of one of the young couples of Alma de Hierro, his love interest was Angelique Boyer and he was very convincing as a nice guy too. His looks didn't impress me initially either but his character won me over and ever since I find him cute. Alejandro Camacho played Boyer's dad and was the main character, that role was much more relaxed he was flawed but essentially good. I don't think that novela was shown in Univision but it was very successful in Mexico and it was great for Flavio, Angelique and Zuria Vega's careers.

Jarocha

What is Ursula's family's name? Any way, what are they going to do now that Dan isn't marrying Ivana and Maleny isn't marrying Max? Aren't the creditors supposed to be knocking at the door?

Cathyx: De la Vega

Jarocha

Thanks Jarocha. I don't remember ever hearing that name.

Loved your recap, Jard, as always.

What is it with these guys with their stubble and uncombed hair. UGGLLYYY!!!
I wonder what MD thinks when she has to kiss Dan. Ugh!! (I guess this is a no, no???)

How can MD fall for anything Dan says when he's made her doubt him so often.

Ann-NYC

Thanks, Jardinera. My favorite line: Susana turns on her heel and struts out, having won Battle of the Bitches (woof-woof), Round One.

I think Dan is hung up on MD maybe more than he realizes and won’t want to dump her. MD is probably the only person in his life who’s ever really looked at him with the eyes of love.

I don’t think I’m going to be too sympathetic to Alma if Claudio hooks up with Isela. How dare she plot with Maleny to hang onto Max. No respect for her grown son.

I’m afraid I’m liking the wrong people. Loved Susana carping at Ursula, and I feel for Isela because she’s been indoctrinated by Josefa at an early age.

I do hope there will be something between Julian and the AA lady.

Niecie- I generally like Alma, but ever since she heard all that smack about MD she has had some very stupid lapses of judgement and character. She should be thankful that Max has finally snapped out of his stupor and decided he doesn't want to marry Mal. Who would want that lazy shrew as a daughter in law?

I also was thinking about the nurse who's in AA as a possible match for Julian. But someone needs to update his look.

Not to mention that Maleny is sick, sick, sick.

How lovely to hear that Ursula is just another Josefa under her expensive dresses. No wonder her children go slumming.

I think I'll wait until Danny-boy is found out and MD has her reaction before I watch another episode. I just can't stand to watch the whole con game of Dan. So I'll be perusing the recaps each day

Thank goodness for the dedicated and loyal recappers that put their heart and soul into Caray Caray

Thank you all

Excellent Jardinera and appreciate this.

"G-r-r-r-sula" hehehe

Oh, I know exactly what Claudio is feeling.

Hmmmm, does Isela punch this meal ticket and tell Josefa to stick it and Orlando bye bye or does she rip it up?

Personally I find nothing attractive about Flavio and icks me out but the dude can act.

The frustration, anger and resignation Max displayed as he drove off, I felt, however this is of his own making. MD has never encouraged him in any way and has eyes only for Daniel. Frankly, it is none of his business who she loves and marries and if he wants to be a friend, will console Ivana.

What a day and night MD had, like Christmas squared. Marry the man she adores, road trip to the beach and marathon martial bliss. If ever she feels regret, lets not see any pouts nor seek consoling, she'll always have Acapulco.

She might not like thinking about this once she knows who this little creep really is.

And how long is it going to take before Max investigates the Santibanez finances? He could save himself a lot of grief to do that ASAP.

He should especially if he ever entertains marrying Maleny again. Max needs to leave MD alone, her life, she loves Daniel and no way she switches that off quickly. I understand Julian, in love and wanting to protect her, they have been close friends for years. Max new to the scene. Now if he wants to approach it from a future brother in law to MD perspective, worried whatever Daniel gets Clara, Esperanza and MD into financially, I get.

Max is a lawyer and he should absolutely understand pre-nups. He's been told more than once that the Santibanez clan is broke so he needs to look into this.

Even without that he'd be an idiot to marry Maleny. And he shouldn't let Ivana make the worst mistake of her life, either.

Thanks for the awesome recap, Jardinera! Chuckle line: "(The great and powerful Oz has spoken!"

Well, he got away with it. Slimy little weasel that he is, he got away with it. smh...

Flavio Medina's a total charmer to me. In his last TN (Amor Bravio), I had the same thought--he's not that physically attractive to me. But once he starts pouring on the charm, I totally get it and he becomes super cute. And then he's such a good actor that even as a bad guy, sometimes I still want him to get help rather than just burn eternally (then again, that was a completely different character.)

I must say, though, since he knows that Max is not down with this situation, why doesn't he think Max will try to help once the truth hits the fan? On the other hand (and this may just be a sign of how charming I find Flavio's performance), I'm in the camp that wonders if he really will drop her now that he's slept with her...

I thought the purple with purple was just meant to highlight that Gerry and Ivana are good together. I really love the way he loves her. She often gets on my nerves, but the way he loves her, the way he really wants her to be happy, constantly urges me to not judge her so harshly.

I also find the fact that Ursula was once poor (or at least not rich) to be intriguing. I wonder why they put it in there? Is it just to make her seem like a hypocrite, or will that have more meaning in the future?

I'm also intrigued by the Bustamante/Josefa origin story. Did he lose her daughter's case? Did he win someone else's case? Did a criminal go free that hurt her daughter? And how/why did she end up with Isela?

I'm so annoyed with Alma for her convo with Maleny. I get the "warning" her "daughter-in-law" bit about Max's feelings, but then Maleny says she's got to live with the woman who wants to "steal" Max away from her and I"m like excuse me? MD has been very clear that she loves Dan. Max was been very clear with his mom that he's the one who has feelings for MD. I know it's easy to flip the "blame" for this situation onto MD to keep from blaming Max, but doesn't she have a better sense of justice than that? Messed up.

Max doesn't care about the money as relates to marrying Maleny. He doesn't think she'd only marry him for money because he's offered before, and she's turned him down. He hasn't considered the timing for this because he knows that Mal has a reason to fear losing him now because he knows he has feelings for MD. So he only really cares about if it's motivation for Dan to play Ivana. Now that Dan has fessed up to the financial situation and marriage to Ivana is supposedly off the table AND he no longer wants to marry Maleny, the only reason he would really truly care about the Santibannez finances is because Maleny didn't tell him about them, and she will likely just say she didn't know until this whole thing with Dan and MD came up.

I agree it is Ivana Max should concern himself with instead of chasing rainbows. He knows Daniel is a skunk and playboy and blows through a fortune. Max and Gerry need to have a sit down but to be taken seriously he has to let the MD thing go.

MD will learn on her own what a snake Danny-Boy really is (I wouldn't insult skunks; they're cute).

Maleny was turning Max down when she thought her family had money. That is not the case anymore. He needs to see her desperation for what it really is. And he certainly needs to realize that she's fooling around with Ari.

Not really worried about Max and Maleny. As we suspected that's a long relationship born out of familiarity, at it's natural end anyway. If he is hurt upon discovery she was cheating on him, an ego dig, but emotionally he's left the building. More concerning to me is the Ursula/Alma/Maleny cabal. Max is a big boy but gonna be mad if he goes all white knight over MD, saving her from what? MD's got her prize, it is Leo and Clara that will suffer for nothing if Max continues in his stupid pursuit.

Hellashelle, you described what I think about Flavio too. In Amor Bravio, I thought of him the same way everyone here does, he was weaselly and not attractive. Remember the way he always chewed his nails? And he always had a snarl on his face. But here his charm is quite appealing, even though he's such a dog, but I can appreciate his cuteness when he is charming.

And I agree about Alma. Why would she tell Maleny something like that. It's not like Maleny can do anything about it. Except she will, she will connive like she did with Daniel to get MD married.

So this show has at least broken one TN rule. The main female has had sex with someone she won't end up with before she ends up with the one she is supposed to end up with.

I also thought it was disloyal of Alma to betray her son's trust this way. He trusted her with something very personal. It doesn't matter how long she's known Maleny, how much she likes her, or even how much she wants her as a daughter-in-law. Max is her child, not Maleny.

Just hoping MD doesn't conceive but she would be happy and perhaps believe that's a way to keep him should he really bolt. Wouldn't that be rich? Two women with children competing for the attention of a rat fink? Max orbiting, trying to save a girl that doesn't want saving.

Don't see how Daniel thinks he will just disappear and his wife not know where to find him. Oh, I know, she can hire Max to track him down.

Where are MD and Dan planning on living now that they're "married"? He leaves her at her place, does he just never come back? She knows where his house is. Does he string her along, making excuses for why they can't live together yet? They have a week until the church wedding, does Dan skip it?

Can't wait to see what happens next.

cathyx I thought the same when he dropped her off at mammas after their abbreviated honeymoon. No talk of abode or future plans of house keeping. Once Daniel showed her the ring she's lived on a cloud.

Yeah Tofie, that's why I'm so mad at her for jumping in and not really thinking everything through, after all he's done to her. And that's why I can't wait until she finds out she's been tricked. At least she has a big support system.

UA - I agree that Max would suspect the timing now that both she and Dan are telling the truth about their finances (to MD anyway), but because he knows he's been falling for MD and he likes to believe that people are better than they appear to be, he'll probably eer on the side of thinking Maleny's desperation is born of Maria Dolores worry rather than Money Dinero problems. The fact that Mal didn't tell him about the money issue before will be suspect, but I imagine she'll wiggle out of it either by going with the "I didn't know" defense or the "I didn't want to tell you for exactly this reason -- I thought you'd think I was a golddigger." The definitive proof will have to be her affair with Ari.

Tofie - I think ending a relationship that's lasted for years will still be painful on more than just a pride level. Maleny cheated on Max when he was 100% devoted to her, before he had even found reason to doubt his love or devotion. And even if he's not in love with her, even if he realizes he never was, he at least believes that they were/are friends.

I can understand Alma's dilemma, but even if she was going to do what she did, I'm disappointed that she betrayed Max so completely (she didn't hint that she thought Max's affection might be waning, she flat out told Mal that Max was in love with MD...lot of M names in this show) and even more than that, that she is allowing Maleny to skew the narrative. I hate it when ladies jump to "she's trying to seduce him away from me!" when the lady in question has not demonstrated any desire to "steal" the guy. Um, are the guys not a factor in this?

ITA on the living arrangements. I wondered about that after the wedding because I was wondering where they were going. I suppose since they know Ursula's not on board, they're assuming he'll move in until they can get their own place?

PS: Speaking of living arrangements, I think the thing that's really going to piss Max off is that Mal's been using his apt for her assignations with Ari. To quote Stephanie Tanner: How rude!

Max doesn't want to hurt Maleny but it sounded like a tentative attempt to end the relationship and if he can go through with it change his lock first thing. I know everyone will blame it on MD but I really believe Max, the relationship is done.

Thanks for this most excellent and witty recap, Jardinera. Well done.

This TN continues to pull me in. I was floored that the fraudulent wedding actually occurred (I thought that Ursala would interfere) and was blown away that Daniel actually achieved his goal. Now I'm fascinated to see how he gets out of this. It's not as though he can just disappear. Looks like a lot of fun awaits us.

As for Daniel, I can't help but like him a bit. His drugging of María Dolores was disgusting, but when his motive (sex) is compared with that of Martín in Lo Imperdonable (vengeance), he seems almost admirable. And of course Maleny and he are such a hoot together and she is such a fresh new face and fresh new mean girl for me to enjoy.

Carlos

Wow, Jar--it was worth the wait. I can't believe you recapped the whole thing (minus a minute >>FF) with such literary flair. Gracias.

Loved: Grrrsula and Me-Me-Me-first-Maleny. This family lives in a mansion and has an extensive country house, and has all the trappings of the rich and not-quite-so-famous, but oh, how true, scratch the surface and just beneath breathes real live barrio folks. Grrrsula's wealthy patina is just veneer.

Is YNCELH really breaking telenovela's hard and fast rule about the protagonista only having sex for the first time with the guy she is going to end up with or not???? Oh, blech if they aren't. Maybe they are just recognizing a fact of modern life. Remember in Manana Es Para Siempre how long Fernanda managed to hold off having relations with her husband, Damian? It got to the point of ridiculousness, but then, we don't want REAL life in our telenovelas do we? Just give us believable fantasy.

OT-BTW--MundoFox is broadcasting Pura Sangre, the novela starring Rafael Novoa (our poor, wooden hero, Pedro, from El Tal), which is the story MEPS is based on. So far, it's amazing how closely MEPS is following the original.

No, Anita. Camila of Amor Bravio lived with her previous fiance before. She was no virgin when she met Daniel.

UA--Yes, there were the exceptions I'd forgotten. I don't know that Camila and Luis lived together before the tn began, but they had been going together for many years before they decided to get married. He died--so, "technically" she was a widow.

Widows are allowed to have sex before they meet their prince charming, even have small children. Camila didn't consummate her marriage with Alonso, or so I seem to recall--he had "problems" in that area.

Jardinera654, enjoyed your recap. Thank you
. I like the phrase " We at Viewerville knows she doesn't give a cracked carrot about him." I wonder if danny and maleny went to college, cause if they did maybe they would have learned a trade, you know, like max, hes a lawyer. But that would have required a parent or parents that gave a dam rather they got a good education, I don't know how old the twins were when their papa died but maybe if he had been there, maybe they would hsve turned out differently, we can only hope.
I fell sorry for MD, when she does find out about the fake nuptials, she'll gonna be gobsmacked. Know wonder she'll never trust another man, so says the title of the show. And along comes max, how are they going to get together?
I hope Ivana isn't preggers, like someone said farther there don't need to be no more freeky danny seed around. One is way to much, and then theres his weird twin M-A-L-E-N-Y. She looks like a little pixie. Her and dannyboy are good together, as trouble makers, they probably kicked their mom a lot
In the womb. Now they're kickin other people. The little trolls.

Anita - Camila is my fave!!! SPOILER (for those that haven't seen AB, I know their are a few of you out there. Get thee to YouTube!!)

Her novio was killed in a car accident after their joint bachelor/bachelorette party (which might have been something like the day before their wedding).

Hellashelle- ITA about Camila (AB). Smart, determined, career woman (who we actually saw work), with a healthy sexual appetite.

In Las Tontas No Van al Cielo, the heroine dumped cheating galan #1 at the altar and ran away while pregnant with his baby (obviously, they were sexually active). Then years later met galan #2 (the star galan), they started a relationship and started having sex. Galan #1, comes back into her life, is redeemed, they even give their relationship another go for a bit, but she ends up with galan #2. So that's an example of the heroine having sex with two different men, both still alive, and neither were villains.

I I suppose Alma doesn't know that maleny is just Marrying Max for money which is what her mother told her to do. If she did I don't think she'd be helping Maleny trap her son into a loveless marriage. She thinks MD isn't good enough for her son. The things she thinks about MD, Maleny Is all of that, a golddigging hussey who wants the family jewels, and anything else. So I suppose this means that there's only enough money for Ursula to continue in the lifestyle that she has become accustom to but there's not enough for her to share with her to miscreant children. So she points them into the direction of these unsuspecting people. Yall ain't she just the poster child for the most wonderful mother of the year award. }:-)
