Yo No Creo En Los Hombres #29 Fri 8/21/15: Amongst The Lies Various Versions Of The Truth Will Out

Parte 1

Susana has come to Maria Dolores with a version of the truth that best suits her purposes: Ivana is buying herself a husband and was willing to  fake a pregnancy in order to do so and to keep him Dan; Daniel never loved Ivana and Susana tried to convince her of it with the taped conversation. She lets MD hear enough of the taped conversation with Urrrrrsula to convince MD that they were in cahoots somehow.

At the same time, Max delivers Majorly Mad Maleny to her mother and deposits her there with Urrrrrsula and Arango The Arranger.  She waits for Max to leave: “—I’d rather they’d brought you home dead!”   “—Me , too!”  Well, there’s still time!”  Urrrrsula drags Mad Mal into her daddy’s former study/office, sits her down in a chair, and  pulls out a gun from the top desk drawer.  This didn’t kill your father.  It was you, with nerve enough to finish the job the coward couldn’t.    Mal tells her to shut up but Mama brashly continues.  “—Tell me at what moment you changed into a gutless wonder like him?  What were you thinking?  That by disappearing one night from home Max was going to take pity on you and go back to you?”

“—So is this what you’d rather I do?”  Mad Malady de Maleny picks up the gun, cocks it and impulsively threatens to kill herself with it.  Arrango rushes over and manages to grab the gun away from her.  (A pity he’s so quick and able.)  Mal, in her frustration and anger, lets out with another cacophonous blast of certifiable bellowing, her reckless hysterical hijinks not having met with Mama’s approval.  No, says GRRRrsssula, Mal should have pulled that gun act in front of Max so that she’d have ended up appearing the sympathetic victim and not that seamstress!  Mal races out of the room and Mama Bear tells Arrango it was a lesson she needed.  “She’s turned into a spineless weakling just like her father and look how he ended up!”

On the drive back with his father, Max mentions he’s never seen Mal react so much like a petulant child before. (Uh, Max, it’s obvious her pulling a stunt like that at her age that she needs a strait jacket.)  Claudio blames it on her traumatic childhood and his family and theirs going their separate ways.  They all just wanted to forget.  Mal saw Max as her security blanket; Max, on the other hand, never felt close to the family.  (Then why’d you think you were in love with her and get engaged, you fool?)  Mal took it the hardest.  Why didn’t anybody ever mention this to him?  (Yeah, Pops, like there weren’t other eligible young women from their social class and club for him to consider dating?????)  Well, as kids they were always pointed at.   Claudio asks if it would have changed the way he felt about her.  Maybe not but now he feels committed, awkward, and doesn’t like it.  “--She needs love, not pity right now.  I’ve felt this for many years.”  (So he’s willing to sacrifice his son?)

Back in the barrio in MD’s little dress shop, Sus pretends to commiserate with the tearful MarDi, but she’s not having it.  “--No, you can’t imagine how I feel.  For that you’d have had to spend entire nights awake crying over a fiancé who never arrived at the altar.”  Ok, so she never fell in love.  Well, it doesn’t take away from the fact that her niece dreamed of having a family one day.  MD says so did she—with Daniel--and the only reason she cannot now is because of Ivana’s supposed pregnancy.  Well, there’s still time to get him back (the rat-faced little turd), but please don’t let her know I’ve talked to you.  She’s throw me out and I’ve got nowhere else to go.”   (Try a barrio,)

Meanwhile, La lindita de Doris races over to The Club worried that MD turned down her offer of a dress do-over shop with her, especially since she foolishly quit her job before she knew whether MD would actually agree to the idea or not.  Should have known better; it was your idea, not hers, says Ari.  But, don’t worry…..we’ll figure out something.

Across town, Gerry is worried that Ivana hasn’t seen the doctor recently.  They chat about how Sus and he discussed her trying to separate her from Daniel, despite the baby.  Iva gets him to agree not to let Sus know that she knows this.  Anyway, Iva knows Daniel and MD are probably still seeing each other—that MD’s seeking him out, hopeful they’ll get back together again.  Gerry tries cheering her up by saying this has to be her imagination; she’s got no proof that’s the way things are.

At the dress shop again, MD has told her mom and sister what Sus was doing there.  “--Well, if Ivana thinks I’m going to stand around and do nothing, she’s got another think coming!”  Clara tells her to be careful.  She’s not like those kind of people. (Uh, you mean, thieving, scheming, powerful types who are used to getting what they want at any cost?)  MarDi’s not so sure. “—When you walk with wolves you’re taught to howl.”  Mama and they all realize that those people have done their best to keep her from Daniel and that they’ll stop at nothing to succeed.  Mama mentions that she got a call from Max’s mother warning her to keep her two daughters away from her two sons.  Yes, says Esperanza, both those families have exceeded themselves in making their point. But we don’t need any more trouble from those people. Clara says she’ll defy them all to stay with Leo.  After all, she’s not to blame for any of this mess.  She storms out of the shop as an exasperated Espy stares and calls after her.

Later that morning, Max mentions to Claudio that it was Julien who actually managed to save Leo’s life.  It was he who, despite his bone disease, made the effort to lift the car so that they all could get Leo out from under it.  Claudio, despite his lack of desire to feel sympathy for all the poor living in that neighborhood, does agree that they need to reward Julien for saving Leo’s life.  Well, you cannot just give him a bag of money; they all helped Leo out of the goodness of their hearts.  Then how do they do it? They both know Julien deserves it.  The only way, says Max, is making good on the damage Mal did that night.

Meanwhile, Daniel is at a restaurant and talking on the phone to Victor saying he doesn’t know how he’s going to convince “her.”  He needs an attorney who just happens to look like Max—who he definitely does NOT want anywhere near Maria Dolores.  Just then he hangs up as Susana arrives for their “appointment.”  She’s there to advise him that ever since Gerry learned of Dan’s relationship with MD that he’s tried to convince her not to marry Dan.  No news to Dan. Sure not, because Gerry cannot tolerate him.  However, as long as Iva loves him, Dan could care less about others.  Sus continues with her lie: that Gerry said he’d do whatever it took to keep Ivana from Daniel and that’s why he went to talk to MarDi today—to convince her to go back to Dan.  “—Daniel, you have to do something to stop this!”  Dan tells her to stop the charade.  He knows what she’s up to.  He knows very well that Sus doesn’t want him marrying her niece.  Not at all, counters Sus.  She’s trying her best to get them back together and for that she wants what he promised her.  “—You want a piece, huh?”  He finishes his cake and leaves her with the check.

 =============================
Parte 2~~

Well, Isela returns to the scene of her crime and asks that Claudio lets her keep her job because she’s going to marry Orlando and they need a place to live.  Claud’s glad she’s back and tells her that’s the last thing he’d think of doing is getting rid of her…  The fact is, says Ise, is that Orlando insists on paying Leo’s medical expenses and she can’t live in the same barrio as Mama.  She’d never leave her alone.  Claud assures Ise that Orly is not allowed to pay one pesito of Leo’s expenses.…but only as long as he gets one more time in bed with her.  (Now that’sworthy of a definite gasp.  Any and all bed scenes were definitely missing the one and only time we saw him rip her dress off her shoulders.  Did this part of Viewerville take an unexpected snooze somewhere along the line?)  Ise pretends self-righteous indignity and slaps the spit out of ol’ Claud.  Why?  Who the heck does he think he is????!!???!!  Hey, girlie, he tells her.  I know I took advantage of you but I also know that you wanted to be with me.  You told me that it was your first time—AND it was the first time I ever cheated on my wife!  (That sucks, dude.)

Clara, meanwhile, wiles her way past the nurse to get a chance to see Leo and miracle of miracles, he hears her and wakes up.  This all takes place while Alma is having a chat with Ivana and GRrrrrsula in the coffee shop downstairs.  Mel’s under watch from Arrango right now.  What Grrrrsula wants to do is to ask Alma to join forces with them against Maria Dolores.  She says she thinks Max and MD may have gone to bed together.  Alma assures her that Max denies anything of the sort and that’s good enough for her, but since he’s no longer engaged anything could happen.  They will just have to wait to see what might develop.  He cannot be forced into anything.  (He’s not a kid anymore.  And thank gawd he can think for himself!)

Mad Mal is actually under lock and key under orders from Arrango—apparently for such an occasion. (And as always?)  He sits for a moment at the old dude’s desk and remembers “the incident” that brought all this to the fore with flashbacks of a much younger him and Urrrsula walking in and staring down at the hideous remains of her dead hubby, slopped like so much bloody garbage next to their feet.  The thought of it brings him to his feet, fighting the urge to retch.  (Viewerville wonders: just what kept this guy with this crazy b!tch all these years?)

Iva takes charge of the convo now with Alma.  They want her help in putting the woman behind bars once and for all.  Alma says Iva told her all was well with her and Dan since he’d returned to her and decided to take responsibility for her and their child.  Certainly, but it’s not just that; the woman not only has interfered with her and her family but in fact had involved Alma in her torrid machinations by getting her to wear a designer gown that she’d stolen from Ivana’s collection!!!!   No!!! Can’t be, insists Alma.  “--Why Leo showed me the sketch of it himself!”  Look, says Iva.  The best way they can get her out of the way is simply to put her away.

Alma says she’s done her part and called the girl’s mother, warning her to control her daughters.  If Alma dares to assist in something this drastic her sons would never forgive her.  (Good thinkin’, Alma.  Shows you do have a soul and some sense, after all.)  “--Sorry, don’t count on me for that.  No.”

And, speaking of the queen of Rome….when (the now slimmer looking?) Ivana returns to the studio, Gerry tells her that MarDi is waiting out in the reception area to speak with her.  “—She said she’s not leaving till you do.”  Iva agrees to speak to her one-time employee.

That evening Max tells his pop over that phone that Orly has no need to pay any of Leo’s medical expenses since Leo’s got major medical insurance, was an authorized employee, and because it was an accident.  Okay……….so Claudio tells this to Orly who still feels responsible, good guy that he is.  Ari tells him to get over it.  Situation resolved and now he can think ahead with no worries (until he learns Leo’s daddy is boffing his beloved despite all.)  Ari isn’t so enthused about Orly tying the knot with family members of the neighborhood Nastiest Ever Nag ‘n Hag.  Anyway, as far as he’s concerned, marriage is murder on true love.  But that being said, best he takes Ise far away from the barrio because with what she knows about Mal and him, the more likely she is to tell MarDi and then the whole gig is up cuz she’ll tell Max and then poof!  His job at The Club is history!  Food for thought….

Across town, MarDi makes her entrance and tells Iva that she knows all that the woman’s been doing in order to hold on to Daniel. (Of course, Viewerville keeps shouting at the screen that she doesn’t know the half of it let alone the true half of it.) “—I suggest that you stop it, because if you continue accusing me of that I have not done, you will regret it.”  “—Because I’m not going to play dirty like you.  But, I can see that Daniel remains with me.”

We jump next to a scene that shows Claudio and Ise in a motel room together where he begins to seduce make love to her again.  Unfortunately, for him it would seem the second time just ain’t as good as the first.  He stops before really starting and tells the mesmerized (and disgusted?) Ise that he’s not going through with the proposition.  He just wanted to show her that he could if he’d wanted to.  “—I know how to treat a woman.  If I chose to, you’ll beg me to take you.  I don’t need to blackmail you.”  (Uh, what universe are you livin’ in, dude?  You could be her grandpa!)

Back at the design studio, while Gerry listens to all this in the background, Ivana accuses MD of playing dirty anyway, the way she’s threatening her with the “love of her life” so that Iva won’t throw her in jail.  NO, clarifies MarDi.  I’m saying that love cannot be bought.  It cannot be snatched away the way you’re doing.  If you want to fight, use your feminine charms (her WHAT????); but sending me to jail--or inventing a pregnancy--won’t make Daniel stop loving me.   “—Oh, I’m not going to sue you in order to leave the way free,” Iva looks accusingly over at Gerry.  “—I don’t know where you got this about me not being pregnant.  The one thing you are right about, tho’  is that you bamboozled Daniel!  And, yes, you do have the advantage there!  But, not in this line of work.” “—Here the only one lying is you (to yourself)!  And not just about the pregnancy, but that I never stole that dress from you!”  And the scream fest begins.  “—I’m going to prove that you did!  And not only that but that you stole the design for my spectacular!”

MD turns around and asks Gerry why he’s letting himself be a part of this.  He’s extremely talented.  He doesn’t need to put up with this, and doesn’t he know that his reputation is going to hit rock bottom when the truth comes out about that design being hers?  Iva growls back at her to get out, that the next time she hears from her it’ll be in front of a judge to make her statement.  “--Then, too, don’t be surprised when you receive an invitation to my wedding with Daniel, and that you can’t attend because you’ll be in jail!”  MarDi leaves.  Gerry grimaces.  Iva screeches at the top of her lungs out of frustration.  (I shake my head, saying “all for that furry-faced, mealy mouthed little two- and three-timing rodent!!”  GRRRR!!!!)

Back in the supposed motel room, poor Claud confesses to Ise that he’s never been with another woman other than Alma since they’ve been together, However, after a time he began to realize that his marriage had changed, like most marriages: there is no passion left.  Oh he loves her, but that love is the love he feels for the mother of his children.  Many couples feel that they can succeed and manage it all, but things aren’t like that.  It wasn’t until Isela arrived that he realized his life lacked passion.   Ise simply says that she had no idea…. He turns to her and says many men and women think that they can manage it, combining passion and love, with one woman or two, but it isn’t that easy, is it?  I don’t know if I could put up with this; and neither you nor Alma deserves it.  He looks so old and exhausted, alone and forlorn (a sad testament to gettin’ old if ever there was one for those who wish to do it gracefully).

Back at Ivana’s studio, she attacks Gerry for having supposedly told her aunt that she wasn’t preggers any longer.  Gerry denies betraying her this way.  She’s angry and scared that Sus is going to tell Dan.  So what, asks Gerry?  It’s like why bother lying to him. “--All he wants is your money and you know it!”  Stop this once and for all, he warns her.  You’re kicking up a huge fuss and all for something that doesn’t exist, that never happened.  Even Alma won’t support her.  Iva asks if he will.  He’ll do just about anything, but she’s asking too much with this.  “—They ruined my life!  I have the right to get even.”  Go ahead then, he answers, but by winning this we’ll still come out losers.  Before he goes she asks him to make sure he gets hold of the most spectacular wedding dress ever.  She wants everybody talking about her wedding.

Meanwhile, Julian and Jenny are discussing what they think is Fermin’s backsliding into his vice.  When Fermin-Now Not-So-Much-A-Vermin, comes in bearing gifts Julian accuses him of drinking and stealing the money he gave him.
That evening, MD is about to enter the apartment building when Danny Boy comes out of the shadows and surprises her.  He’s been waiting there for her there since he didn’t want to get her into hot water with her mother by making his presence known over at the dress shop.  She tells Dan that she found out about Mal and his mama instigating the fake wedding in order to separate the two of them.  (Senseless, if you really think it through, but MD is too naive by half still.)  “—Who told you that?”  (Of course HE’d want to know.)  MD says it’s not important.  What is  is that she does know now.   Danny Boy plays all innocent and goes with the flow.  He can only say he knows he lied to her and that he’s sorry; that he does love her with all his heart.  “—Do you really think I’d have gone and gotten that apartment for us if I was only going to leave you?”  (Well, for those with half a brain, perhaps…..)

MD replies that material things don’t matter; the facts do.  He explains the bit with Mal coming for him at the church and blah, blah, blah….  You don’t know what effort it took for me to leave you at the church like that!   But I had to fulfill my responsibility as a father!  “--That’s a lie also, Daniel.”  “--What do you mean?  I was there at the hospital—“  “—Ivana lied to you about that for the same reason your mother had you leave me at the church, to separate us.” Max drives up just then and gets out in time to see Daniel and MarDi hug each other.  Daniel, sly boy, has seen Max drive up and purposely hangs on to MD for its effect on Max if nothing else.

Fermin must have stolen Honoria’s savings again, his family thinks.  He insists he went to a bar but didn’t take a drop.  He played dominoes and won the cash.  With it he bought Julien a gift.  When Juien sees it’s a collapsible cane he refuses to use it, to the further consternation of his family.

Back at curbside, MD lies to an angry Max that Dan’s there because she called him to come.  Great, he spits back at her.  I only hope you know what you’re doing.  He’s one pissed dude and races off in his car.  (I am distracted by the piss-poor parking job.)  Danny takes advantage of the situation and once Max peels off he accuses him of plotting with Mal to get hold of that fake judge.  MD says not a chance because he’s always demonstrated what a straight arrow he is.  Danny tells her it’s likely cuz his daddy’s a judge and has all sorts of contacts.  (Yeah, dopey, but those are all REAL judges, not fake ones!)  MD says that that doesn’t mean a thing.  “--If you have proof, then show me.”  Look, he says, I’m just warning you that when Ivana sues you he’s going to ride up like the white knight and make like he’s going to save you. I am just warning you, is all….”—So, it seems the only one now who can help me is you.”  Dan jumps on that admission of mental weakness.  “—Right and I spoke with Victor.”  MarDi knows what a lousy lawyer Victor is and tells Dan as much.  Yeah, but this is different, he claims.  He’s got proof that Jacinto signed a deal with Ivana where he’s going to get his old job back at her studio.  MD is furious and hot-as-heck impactada!  How could she abuse the trust of all those women who work for her????  She herself fired him!  Right, he says, but she’s manipulating everything.  Anyway, (for some unclear reason) Victor says it’s enough that the agreement will be null and void.

That’s enough for dense, credulous Maria Dolores.  “—Okay, then we’re going to do whatever you say.”  Dan is overwhelmed by his success—how simple it was.  (Well, simple minds…..)  He moves in for The Kiss, but MD stops him.  He’s engaged to Ivana, remember?  Oh, he forgot.  Oh, says he.  I promise that I’m going to do everything possible to end this ASAP so that you and I can be together again.  Music to MarDi’s ears.

Down the street, Isela returns to Orly’s place and tries to seduce him.  He stops in the middle of things and tells her he respects her too much to take her to bed before they’re married.  NO, it doesn’t matter if another man took her first.  That man doesn’t count.

Ivana arrives home also, and what does she see but a whole nursery filled with baby things and a cradle that’s going to go empty.   Susana comes in praising the press for their thoughtfulness in sending so many gifts.  Ivana turns around and slaps the spit out of her aunt.

We beam over to Grrrrsula’s place in the middle of a conversation as she tells Dan they cannot do whatever especially now that Max has left Mal.  “—But Ivana will stop at nothing!”  Urrrsula says she knows, that Alma couldn’t be convinced and she herself didn’t want to become involved because it didn’t serve their purpose.  Yes, but even so, he’s found out that by tomorrow morning it’s going to be common knowledge.  Jacinto just called to tell him that the lawyers have moved forward and they now have the saleslady’s version of things.  Urrrrsula tells him Jacinto’s full of it and cannot be trusted.  What would a guy like him know anyhow?  He cannot be trusted.  “--Well there’s no way out now.  And, there’s something else:  ivana is not preggers!”  What?  That can’t be.  “--Well, she either lied or aborted because Maria Dolores told me so.”  Mama is drop-jaw impactada.

Back at Aborted Baby Central, Iva accuses Sus of running to the press about her pregnancy and then running to Gerry to tell him that she’d lost it.  Why?  Sus says losing that (ferret’s) baby was a great  thing and losing Daniel because of it, even better!!  Ivana disagrees.  “—No, the best thing for me would be you getting the hell out of here!”  Yeah? says SusieQ.  “--Well then, that being the case, the same way I told the press about the pregnancy, I will go and tell them the truth—the whole truth!”

Really looking forward to your recap, Jardinera.

I'm fascinated by these little bits of info we get about Ursula's husband's death.

Susana has certainly stepped up and become a full fledged player in this game of lies, deceit, and greed. Can't wait to see how that little showdown between her and Ivana ends.

Points deducted for MD for actually believing Dan was an innocent victim in the fake marriage, but at least she didn't let him kiss her. I'm also glad that she was stupid enough to believe Max was part of the plot. Dan overplayed his hand with that one.

Typo: That she WASN'T stupid enough...

Jardinera, looking forward to your recap.

Whoa, Susana is as nasty as Josefa. But at least Ivana gets that her auntie means her no good. Poor Isela doesn't get that her "mama" Josefa sees her only as a tool and doesn't give a damn about her.

Wow, I can't wait for this recap because I am having a devil of a time keeping up with all the lies and scheming. So Ivana knows that Susanna and MD know that she lost the baby, but she's trying to keep the info from Dan, who also already knows. But Dan needs to marry Ivana, so he may pretend that he doesn't know and marry her anyway. But then what excuse will he give MD for marrying her? My head hurts with all of this.

Cathyx- You got it all right. Question is, what will Dan and Ivana do next, now that they both know the other is trying to con them?

How exactly did ursula's hubby die, and why is that lawyer there lookin at the body with her? What did these two heffas do that man and why? And what did they do to poor maleny? Yes poor maleny, ursula is a sevriano mendoza disguised as a mother.
Here we go again.
I 'm trying to like ivana, but she buggin me with this hate thing shes got against MD. The
Trouble is dan, he's the jerk, MD needs to stop lettin him kiss her into listening to his lies. And max always comes around when dan got his hands on her. Lets hope this coming week brings some truth.

Lookin forward to your recap J 654.:-)

Nina- He was shot. The question is, WHO shot him? Claudio and Maleny believe Maleny shot him. I have my doubts, which increase each episode. Everyone else thinks he shot himself. Only Ursula and Arango know the real truth.

I hated Ivana this episode, but really loved that purple dress she was wearing. She looked great in it. Now, if only she would get rid of that side ponytail.

Looking forward to the recap Jardinera.
Vivi, I don't think Maleny shot him either nor that he killed himself.

Since even after Friday's episode the question still lingers of who killed Ursula's husband, here are my thoughts from yesterday:

1) First are we sure it was Arango and Ursula that shot the father ? Then why would Claudio cover it up for two supposed lovers Ursula and Arango). I think he only covered it up because either he did it himself, or thought Maleny did it.

2) Maybe the father had an argument with someone about their declining fiances, shot himself, and Maleny just happened to be there and has been made to believe all these years, by sick Ursula, that she actually did it.

3) If Claudio promised Dan/Mal's father he would take care of his children (as we heard), was this before or after the shot was fired and where the hell has he been all these years because it certainly wasn't been helping to raise those kids?

4) Vivi's theory, is probably hit the head on the hammer.
.

Jardinera
Can't wait for your always enthralling recaps.

Isela is enjoying her dual sex character role so much, it's hard to tell which one she likes the most. They did great type casting with Isela and her crying, tearful, and innocent eyes.

I think that Ursela is bad enough to have shot him or manipulated someone to kill him for her. I don't think Claudio did it, I think he came to help Maleny out with this situation. As a little girl, the memories of what lead up to the shooting probably got blurred with the help of Ursela telling her that she did it. Arango had a flashback from that night when he sat in the chair in the office where it happened. And he was appropriately appalled when Ursela gave the gun to Maleny and told her to kill herself, so I doubt Arango did it. So that points to Ursela.

Victoria- I very much believe Claudio believes Maleny shot her father, because by the time he arrived/was brought on the scene, that is what Ursula was saying. The only person he is covering up for is Maleny, not Ursula. I don't know if Ursula and/or Arango did it for sure, but I definitely think they know what really happened the night and who pulled the trigger.

Jardinera- Just started reading your fab recap, but wanted to clarify the car conversation between Max and Claudio because it seems an important bit is missing. Claudio reveals to Max that Mal is this way not just because her father committed suicide, but because he committed suicide in front of her- she witnessed it. That's why Max asked why Claudio never told him that (he knew about the suicide, not about Mal seeing it). Claudio wonders if it would have changed his feelings for her, or just made him pity her. And it's not pity she needs, but love.

Ok. Back to the recap.

Ursula is just sick enough, cold hearted enough, and ice queen enough to have done it.
But what reason would Maleny have if it wasn't just playing with a gun near her dad?
I think MD is in for a long ugly battle with Ivana NO SPOILER

Awesome part 1 Jardinera and thank you.

"Arango the arranger"

Ivana, Susana or Usurla is not MD's biggest problem. MD's love for Daniel is.

ViviDC" Thanks for the clarification because the way it is edited I had a hard time pulling that from the verbatim conversation--and it makes total sense, of course. This whole show is so full of implied meaning on various levels and makes it difficult to follow completely.

Thank you Jardinera, I know this TN is very challenging to recap, I'm glad I don't have that pressure to get all the convo and meaning on paper. I really appreciate all of you.

So at the end of part 1, Susanna tells Dan that she's actually trying to get Dan and Ivana back together? After she just told Dan that she was trying to get Dan and MD back together? I'm very confused right now.

If Dan and MD get back together, Susanna can still live with Ivana? So what deal does Susanna have with Dan that keeps Susanna in comfort because I thought that Ivana was hating on Susanna right now and didn't want her to stay with her anymore.

Susana said some time ago that she was going to play both sides. Her main goal is to continue to live off of Ivana's wealth. She sees Dan as a threat to that, so she wants to do what she can to get him away from Ivana (including sending him back to MD's arms). But, she also knows that right now Dan has great influence over Ivana and could easily convince Ivana to get rid of Susana. So Susana pretends to Dan (and Ursula) that she is an ally-- if they help her, she'll help them.

Lol, Vivi, see why I'm so confused? I guess we just don't know how things will play out yet, it's like a multi-dimensional chess game like they have on Star Trek The Next Generation.

We need a "Mentira" sheet to keep track of all the lies.

Also has anyone else thought that many of the character's names are very non-Hispanic ? Not the usual José, Esmeralda, Carmen, Guadalupe, etc
Or is it just my imagination?

Which names do you mean, Victoria?

Our heroine's name is as stereotypical as can be. :)

Gerry is short for Geraldo or Gerardo or Genaro. All the others seem fairly typical in Spanish-speaking countries.

Thank you, Jardinera for your efforts!

A few episodes ago, specifically because MD was being dumb again about Daniel I almost gave up on this but I cant deny it has pulled me back in.

I was also relieved to see MD didnt believe Daniel about Max and had to LOL at MD inadvertently revealing the truth about Ivanas pregnancy based on a stockpile of lies. That was some great writing.

I honestly felt for Claudio during his heart to heart with Isela. It doesnt excuse whqt they're doing but sometimes the habit and the mundane day to day get to you in the worse way. Not to mention, his confession that he thought hed had everything he'd ever want and need and be happy and its turned out to be everything but.

Also glad to see MD stand up to Ivana and tell her where to stick it. As well as Clara not taking crap from anyone regarding Leo. Im liking them so much.

One thinknthat gets to me still is Honoria and by association Julian who judge people with no basis on what theyre saying. Especially Honoria who hides under a facade of purity when shesbjust as bad as Josefa.

Yay! Awesome, Jardinera. I love all your putdowns for Dan. Heehee.

Has there ever been a more unlikely man to have two talented women fighting over him? Max and Gerry certainly can't understand the guy's appeal as they watch the women they care about Chase their own and each other's tails over him.

Both Ivana and Susana had parts of their plans blown up this episode, as both Gerry and MD basically ratted out Susana to Ivana, and Susana's reveal about the non-baby got to Dan, ruining whatever Ivana was planning, and Alma refused to play along with her send MD to jail plan. But of course Susana wants to stay on the gravy train, and Ivana wants to maintain her public image, and they both can drag each other down. Stalemate?

I agree with that. Shes lookin down her nose at MD and clara and their mom. And yet she wont even tell her son his dad is fermin the vermin. Shes more of a hypocrite than josefa the heffa.

I was so glad to see Clara stand her ground about her relationship with Leo. The two of them were just going along with their own business, having a normal teenage romance, and they're now getting pulled into all this drama, created by the adults around them who can't tell the truth or get their sh*t together. They are the two most grounded people in this whole thing.

Excellent part 2 Jardinera. Why does Max do this to himself? What a fool, to believe he can save a woman that doesn't want saving. Can't be very good on an ego. Ivana and MD still having a pissing contest. Incredible

Ivana is still not pissing me off more than MD mostly because Ivana has only half the facts regarding MD, the dress, the wedding, etc. And because of her past with men and her family life she will destroy anyone she thinks os responsible for her unhappiness. While shes dragging MD down shes also dragging down Daniel.

Now, before Susana, MD had all the factd and chose to ignore them and even went so far as to say maybe Daniel wasnt so bad because he got ber an apartment and wanted to start a life together but they just got interrupted.

In addition to rejecting Max and also not standing up to Maleny when she needed a good firm slap as well, MDs reasons for being dumb are much more annoying than Ivanas.

Thank you for part 2 Jardinera.

This is truly a captivating story so far. Not every bad person gets their way, and of course not all the good people get theirs either. Just like real life, sort of.

Where will Susanna go? And with what money? What we know now is Dan still needs to marry Ivana since Mal and Max are apart, but how can he do that and string MD along too? It seems pretty certain that no matter what Mal does, Max doesn't want to stay in a relationship with her, no matter how much pity he has for her, so Dan is the only one who can bring the wealth back to the family.

If Ivana still wants to marry Dan, it seems now it's only to hurt MD and be the "winner" of the who gets Dan game.

Superalfie, MD doesn't have all the facts. Susanna lied to her when she told her that Ursela and Mal were the ones to set up the fake judge. That was all Dan's doing, not theirs.

Cathyx,

Yeah that's why I'm giving her a pass now and said before Susana. On top of that she didnt take Ivanas threats lying down so MD FTW for now.

Guess both women are attempting to mitigate the humuliation brought on by a relationship with Daniel. The winner of the get you a Dan contest gets to show him around town while the other will have to accept they were rejected.

I thought MD was stupid the first week and have not changed my opinion. I'm not sick for her, she's stupid and cannot help it, it is Max that is proving the larger fool for running after the girl. It's embarrassing.

Sorry Superalfie, I misunderstood what you were saying.

Tofie, I think she's stupid too, ignoring all the facts in front of her. But it's that blind love stupid, the kind where you just want something so badly that you're willing to ignore the facts that get in the way of your fantasy. I know it's still stupid though.

It's okay, Cathyx.

I think the only thing YNCELH has going against it is MD at the front and center. Everyone but her is insanely more interesting and complex from Clara to Maleny to Josefa.

Hopefully, MD finds some sense soon becauae I cant handle her being stupid the whole novela.

Right now Ivana bugs me more than MD, because while Ivana was ignorant early on, now she knows the truth. Not only is she choosing to believe the version of the truth more convenient to her at the moment (like MD), she is also actively trying to harm people she knows to be innocent-- MD, her family, her employees (by re-hiring Jacinto). She can self-destruct all she wants, and offer up her pride to Dan like MD. But it crosses a line when you try to destroy other people, or commit acts you know will harm others (like all her female employees in her factory).

I can see where you're coming from but there are portions that Ivana believes to be the truth. Like regarding the dress that Daniel stole but she thinks MD was in on it too. She also thinks MD actively pursued Daniel and laugjed behind her back.

Now her bringing Jacinto back isna terrible way to go abouy it because hesna disgusting perv. And she knows MD didnt steal the design for Almas dress but isnroping even Ursula up in that lie.

And Ivana is a professional woman who shouldn't stoop so low.

I just finished an 8 episode marathon to catch up. Many, many thanks to all the recappers on this because I had to pause my recordings multiple times and check the recaps. It doesn't help that pretty much everyone is lying and I can't keep up with it at all. I'm sorry to do a group thank you. I'll try to do better in keeping up at least with recaps so I can thank Urban, Rain, Countx, hellashelle and Jardinera individually this week.

I'm not finding anyone very likable in this. OK. Leo and Clara are likeable. (nods to Vivi's comment.) Oh and I like Doris.

I feel like Maleny needs professional help. The actress is very good at histrionics.

I have to go with Vivi and say I'm more annoyed with Ivana for putting her female employees at risk. And Gerry too for that matter because MD is right when she says his professional reputation will be ruined when the truth comes out.

Victoria - I had the same thought. I hate that she's using a false claim of stealing a design (Alma's dress) because that could be bad for her business.

I think Ivana knows perfectly well that MD did not steal/sell that dress and that MD isn't laughing behind her back and seeing Daniel. MD told this all to her face when SHE went to MD's house. She totally believed everything MD said, admitted as much to Gerry later. But she is jealous, crazy jealous of MD-- her looks, her loving family, her talent, Dan's passion for her. To make herself feel better, Ivana is turning MD into a villain and trying to destroy her reputation and her life.

Well said Vivi.

I thought she didnt because she was ahocked to confirm from Jacinto that Daniel had given the dress to the lady at the store but that MD had given it to Daniel

It is hard to keep the lies straight

Yay! Sara is caught up! Welcome to the conversation, amiga.

I really like Leo, Clara, Orlando, Doris, Julian, Max, and Esperanza. Of course Julian and Max are cursed with their love for MD, which won't bring either of them much happiness in the short or long term.

Granted this all came from Jacinto but he was telling the truth about Daniel even if he dragged MD aling with him

Jacinto told Ivana when they met with the lawyers that the woman at the store would only be able to state that Dan gave her the dress- she never saw/met MD. Ivana didn't care. I think she knows perfectly well MD had nothing to do with it.

I definitely misread the exchange then.

Oh yeah! Julian and Max and Orlando and Esperanza. And the nurse. I like her too.

Despite his flaws I like Fermi too.

So Ivana knows it was Daniel that gave the red dress to that dress shop, right?

Seriously hard for me to keep up it all. I'm just going to watch her to the end and let Vivi explain it. ;-)

Jardinera- You asked in the recap about the first time between Claudio and Isela that you blinked and missed. You didn't blink or miss anything. It was clarified for us by someone who saw the Mexico broadcast that Univision cut the sex, so it looked to us in the US like Claudio pinned Isela against the window/wall, they kissed passionately, and he pulled down her town, all in about 5 seconds, and then they got interrupted by Alma's arrival before anything happened. In fact, the scene was much longer and they actually did the deed. Sometimes it seems that Uni is purposely trying to confuse us.

Typo: Pulled down her top.

I'm glad you are caught up Sara. It's hard to do a marathon on this show since it's so involved and complicated.

I was very confuses about that until the confrontation between jsoefa and isela where she confirms she wanted to save her viriginty for orlando but had goven it to bustamante instead

Superalfie- Even Jacinto was confused by Ivana's reaction, since the shop lady's testimony would mean DAN, not MD, would be in the hot seat for possible jail time. I think that's why she felt the need to try to trump up false charges about MD stealing the design for Alma's black dress, since she can't really pin the theft the the red dress on her.

Yes, Ivana knows Dan threw the dress to the shopkeeper. Jacinto told her it was just Dan who did that, and that MD wasn't involved.

The part where I got confused was that Jacinto confirmed Dan threw the dress at the shopkeeper and that the shopkeeper could only identity Dan but not that MD was in the dark about the whole thing. So Ivana tpok that to mean that MD was involved but had gotten Dan to do the legwork so she wouldncome put unscathed.

Idk if I'm making sense?

Superalfie- I think Ivana is smart enough to know that MD wasn't involved in this. She knows Dan is a snake, and she knows MD is an honorable woman. She is CHOOSING to paint MD as a thief/slut/villain to make herself feel better and get revenge because Dan prefers MD over her (Ivana).

Wasn't there some point early on though that the lie was floated that MD and Dan were working together? So what superalfie says makes perfect sense. At least to me.

Your comment just makes me dislike Ivana more, Vivi.

That lie was blown out of the water when MD and Ivana had their woman to woman talk in MD's house. Ivana knows MD was duped by Dan as much as she was, and was never in cahoots with him.

Thanks Jardinera for your recap. Agree that this is not an easy tn to recap so very much appreciate all you and the other recappers do.

I do not mind MD's gullibility so much because she at least hasn't gotten back together with Daniel. If she does, that's when I'll start banging my head against the wall. But I do hate how she lets him come near her.

He's not a kid anymore. And thank gawd he can think for himself!

Yes! I like how Max is not allowing himself to be pushed back to Maleny. He regonizes he feels guilty &compromised because of Maleny's past but he can't be with someone he doesn't love.

I hated how the three society ladies causally sat discussing how to destroy a poor girls life because obviously the man is never at fault. Thank goodness Alma gave a a resolute NO.

I think that Ivana knows it was just Daniel but is trying to punish MD from ever having anything to do with him and Daniel vice versa for Daniel.
jlk

That makes sense I just misread the situation.

The fact thay Ivana is doing everything put of pure malice makes her look so much worse now. Worse than ursula even.

Ditto vivo

jlk

Haha Sry meant vivi

jlk

jlk- :) I knew what you meant.

I can live with MD right now because like cathyx said blind love can make a person stupid. I'm with you jlk, if she goes back to Dan I'm going to be super mad.

I liked seeing her stand up to Ivana.

I can't decide about Alma. She's likeable but at times gullible. But at other times able to make up her own mind and not be led by others.

The thing that gets me about MD and the reason why I doslike is thay shenosnt an active, shes very passive.

Whatever theyre reasons every character isndoing something while MD has a bunch of stuff happening to her.

When you dont have an actice role in your own life theres definitelt a problem.

Sara- I'm on the fence about Alma too. I liked her early on, and I liked her when she first met Clara. She didn't have a problem with Clara being poor or even with Leo going to public school and working in the hood.

But once she started hearing that MD (and her family) were thieves, sluts, and troublemakers, and saw/heard from her social circle how MD was destroying their lives, she got all protective and territorial about her "boys" being drawn into the web of "those women." That's when she started doing and saying some stupid stuff. But she loves her sons above all else, so she doesn't outright do stuff that she knows would turn them against her. She can also be reasoned with. I hope that she gets to really know MD and Clara soon, so that she stops believing the lies told to her.

I compared her to Honaria some time ago. Their reactions to MD are the same and based on the same reason (protecting their sons). But Honaria should know better because she has known MD her whole life and shouldn't be swayed by gossip (especially if it comes from Jos-Heffa).

Superalfie- I agree that MD's passivity is frustrating at times, and she often has to be pushed to take action (Clara is just the opposite). That's why it was nice to see her go confront Ivana this episode (even if she was somewhat misguided on a few things).

Took the words right out of my mouth, superalfie. I feel like MD just sort of wrings her hands. She finally got some gumption and it was to tell Ivana that she can't have Daniel. *facepalm*

Vivi- I thought for sure when Alma grabbed Clara's hand at the chapel her days of hating Clara and MD were over. I was wrong.

This comment has been removed by the author.

I hope we see more that MD from now on. Clara needs to give her some of her spunk.

Honoria is worse than Josefa regardless of her reasons especially becayse she wants to influence in something she has no business being in. You cant make someone love you and she shpuld know that.

I think Alma is influenced to a certain extent and we have to remember shes known ursula and ivana for years. Even so she didnt want to go near the design mess with a 10 ft pole. Good for her.

Superalfie- Yep, I agree. I cut Alma some slack because she has known Maleny and Ivana their whole lives, and Ursula for decades, and has only recently met Clara and her family. Of course she's going to believe the people she knows, over strangers. I like that she also believes her sons above anyone else, so each time anyone has tried to convince her that Max and MD have already become intimate, she shoots it down. She knows her sons, and she knows they are men of integrity. She also has a great relationship with her and they tell her the truth, even about their personal lives.

Thank you for the great recap Jardinera! It was like seeing the episode again.

jlk- I agree with you on not minding MD's gullibility because she is not getting back with Daniel yet, even with the lies Susana told her. She wants to believe better of him but she knows being with him while he is with Ivana is wrong so she won't do it. That's the difference between her and Ivana, MD still worries about what's right and wrong and staying in the right side while Ivana doesn't mind taking wrong measures to feel vindicated for her pain.

I actually like both MD and Ivana alot, even if both are very flawed in different ways.

Jarocha

Thanks everyone.--I feel that Ivana is jealous of MD's talent and is, amongst everything else, attempting to destroy a potential rival. It cannot end well for Iva.

========
Thanks for the clarification over the non-sex scene between Isela and Claudio. A really bad editing job. It's like didn't they give a damn when they proofed this part of the story? Es obvio que no.

Jardinera
When I re-watched the USA (Hulu) sex scence, it shows Claudio standing up, not sitting down (IYKWIM -- if you know what I mean) and he has thrown Isela up against the wall. Afterwards you can see him pull up and buckle his pants and Isela hurriedly pulling her dress down.

Terrible editting

I think that Dan will just lie to MD about breaking up with Ivana and MD will run right back into his arms and fall for him again.

Thanks to Jardinera! This show is crazy and your recap was great! Love all of the translated quotes.

Just want to throw in that one of the things pissing me off is that MD was trying to be done with Dan and then Ivana showed up to get the truth and got all off course because of her jealousy. That's not entirely her fault; some of that was just bad timing. But instead of asking MD what happened, she got all pissed because MD had a happy, family-filled childhood and refused to be objective after that. She really reminds me of the children of a family friend: most of the time they start off fine, but once they get excited about something, they get rude, belligerent and completely unruly.

Now Ivana might not believe in her heart of hearts that MD stole the dress, but the dress was MD's responsibility and it did get lost on her watch, so she is at least partially responsible for the aftermath, even if she wasn't the cause of it. The funny part about this is Ivana was the other woman and she knows it. MD told her clearly that she and Dan had been going out for months "officially" (in the eyes of her people) when he up and proposed to Ivana. I jus think it's a shame that Ivana can't see that it's crazy to send someone to PRISON because they had a thing with your boyfriend. But since the dress thing is involved and she blames MD for the "disgusts" that led to her losing her baby, she thinks she's justified. Has no one every told this women that, while heartbreaking, miscarriages do happen, even if everything in your life is sailing along just fine.

Lord help them all when she realizes that because she didn't follow up with her doctor, she's likely going to be sterile. (I am 99.9% sure this is where they're going with this. TNs are always leaving people sterile.) Nothing on god's green earth is going to stop her from doing something horrible to MD then.

Typo: "disgustos". Though I'm sure there was some disgust in there.

Don't let MD's passivity fool you. She's in this fight to win, her tactics just different. Her big club, the threat to take Dan at any time from Ivana. Come on MD, you cannot use Ivana as an excuse for not being with Dan when you, he and everyone knows that is not a fair fight.

Well, taking Dan from Ivana is MD's idea of stooping as low as her (her wolves reference), so I think she views that as the kind of wrong thing that she could do if she's pressured enough. It's not something that she's actually planning to do regardless of what Ivana does anyway, he is now tied up to her in MD's psyche.

Jarocha

I think if Dan renounced Ivana, MD would take him back in a heartbeat.

I'm just scared that if the only end game of both MD and Ivana (for now) is to destroy the other one to get the ultimate prize (Daniel) then the winner would, in fact, be the loser.

Ivana is willing to destroy her reputation and Gerry by association for what? To get a man who will never love her and possibly make her more miserable than she is now and destroy a woman who did nothing to her but fall for the same lies told by Daniel.

Something's gotta give between these two.

Much like Alma didn't get involved with the design mess because she was able to see toward the future, toward her children's shock and disappointment in her actions, I hope MD and Ivana especially realize it's not worth it.

The problem is Ivana doesn't think she's going to destroy her reputation. She thinks she's going to make MD take the fall for for the company's losses and she'll make Dan spend the rest of his life paying for playing with her (and possibly, deep down, she thinks that given enough time he'll fall for her.) It's why she's convinced herself that Dan and MD were in cahoots: that dress debacle is the only time that really makes sense and she's clinging to it no matter what.

For her, the "prize" of Dan is worth it because 1) she gets to one up the people she feels made fun of her and thought they could take advantage of her. For woman who's had the upbringing she's had -- isolated, belittled, few friends -- it's not surprising. And 2) she doesn't think any man will ever find her attractive, so she take Dan, wrong as he is.

It cracks me up that the "prize" is a broke loser who never worked a day in his life and has no skills beyond manipulating people.

Cathyx don't knock those skills. Hes managed to get two talented, beautiful women to fight over him. 😩

Thanks, Jardinera. Terrific recap.

I'm giving both MD and Ivana a break. I'm guessing when/if Ivana actually hires Jacinto she will realize what a foul move that is for her staff. She's just running on emotion now. And MD just can't believe she could've fallen in love with a weasel. She so wants to believe he's better than that.

Alma bugs me. Based on the lies she's been told, I see why she doesn't want MD for her son. But why make him feel guilty about Maleny, as if Maleny is his only alternative?

I think almas reasoning ia that shes known maleny all her life and can vouch for her (if she only knew the truth) so shes trying to keep her son with what she thinks is a good woman because for now the alternative is MD.

Now mentionibg the suicide at this point in time is a horrible way to go about it but this novela is made up of everyone's hotrible decisions.

Agree, Dan doesn't need Maleny and if he'd open his eyes likely plenty of smart, beautiful women with no baggage would treat him right.

Neither woman wants to admit they were duped. Now I was fooled beliving that first tit for tat between Ivana and MD was the end if it but was only the first skirmish. The girls will fight with bluster and threat. Kinda sickening

I mean Max doesn't néed Maleny

MD is not planning to destroy Ivana, or getting back with Daniel, she just wants Ivana to leave her alone.

Jarocha

Maybe I'm rambling or off base, but I'm disappointed by this turn. I don't really like Ivana being an antagonist. I was hoping she would be someone I could root for. Maybe she'll turn it around.

I think Ivana wants MD to leave them (Ivana & Dan) and MD wants Ivana to leave them (MD & Dan), alone. They have Dan to thank for that. If Ivana was out of the picture and Max would stop showing up on flimsy pretext spoiling the.mood, MD would be with Dan.

Yeah, I'm disappointed about Ivana too. Dan has treated her just as horribly, well more so, he took her virginity and wants to take every cent she has.

I dont think MD wants Ivana to leave Dan and her to alone because she made it clear that she doesnt want Dan back even though she did believe he was a victim in the fake wedding because of Susana.

However she will take Dan back just to spite Ivana if she continues to mess with her. Whether that will tuen into something else we'll have to wait and see.

I think Ivana will turn it around. All she needs is one other guy to show interest, and she'll realize she's not some hopeless case that only Dan could ever be interested in. (Looking and you Gerry...Also Ari actually, though not to play for keeps).

I think Alma's reaction is also maternal. She's worried about Maleny, about her state of mind, about how fragile she is emotionally. I bet she looks at Mal like the daughter she never had (and kind of wouldn't want, but she's the closest thing there is right now.) She knows that Max is rock steady so for her this is win win and MD's just messing things up. Once Alma gets to know Clara, I think she'll see that Clara's more like the daughter she never had, and that in turn could change things with MD.

I can't feel sorry for Maria Dolores because she's been told by everyone this guy is scum, he doesn't add up, he's shady and she's seen the shadiness for herself, but she "loves" him and chooses to deal with him anyway.

I also can't feel sorry for Ivana because she knows Dan is shady, shiftless and a creep and she continues playing this game so she can "win." I don't feel sorry for her on the sterility front because the doctor, Ursula & Susana told her to go to the doctor and get treatment and she refused so she can continue playing the game.

I won't feel sorry for Isela & Claudio when their games come to light.

This show should be about the younger sister, the smart one, Clara. What has MD done that was so spectacular other than designing the dress Alma wore? MD brought Dan into everybody's world and continues to see him. What kind of break up they got? Are they still friends?

I am with you on that, Tofie. Clara should have been the protagonist. Id love tonsee her go toe to toe with ivana and maleny and gave them what's coming to them.

Last soap I saw was Quiero Amarte which had a capable protagonist at its center and MD is as bad as Paloma from En nombre del Amor right now.

I mostly liked Paloma for the first part. Her character was true to her upbringing and stuck to her convictions (she got real weepy in the middle, but Victoria Ruffo was her guiding force, so eh).

I agree that Clara's awesome, but MD bringing Dan into their lives is the whole basis for the drama that makes the show. Clara's TN would be very different. Instead, I think we just want MD to put her foot down: get to the truth, or get out of this situation. Unfortunately, she, like Ivana, wants to believe what she wants to believe. And everyone except Max is alternatively playing for Dan's team, so the info she's getting goes a long way to making him a victim. In her defense, she did try to stand firm when she knew he had lied to her, but love doesn't just go out like a light. Susana pulled her back in by absolving Dan of the blame and making Ursula and Ivana the only victims.

Hellashelle, you are right about Paloma and MD. Im not asking for them to go against who they are. For example, i dont expect MD to go full villain in Ivana but i also want to her do something regarding her situation ( which she has begun to do).

The same with Maleny who attacked her and ruined her neighbors business and MD did nothing. She just stood there like a bafoon while everyone defended her.

Much lije Paloma would take so much crap from Carlota for no reason or Carlota go away with everything much like Dan. I saw the original ENDA and the protagonist did respect her aunts but also didnt let anyone treat her like a doormat.

Paloma I have a little more sympathy for because she was 1) a minor over whom Carlota had guardianship 2) had been emotionally abused for years, told she was a sinful murderer whose very existence drained her aunts already meager funds. MD was raised by proud, yet humble parents and encouraged and loved.

I don't think MD has done something regarding her situation with Dan. She told Ivana she could make Dan stay with her: how? By telling him there is no baby?Well she did that and Dan didn't smile and declare he was free. Because he's marrying Ivana for money. The only reason I can't think that she's accepting that is that she thinks he only wants/needs that money to take care of his mom and sister in the style to which they are accustomed. I can see MD being sympathetic towards that. For now, she seems to be ignoring the fact that he slept with Ivana entirely. Whatever his mom "forced" him to do, she didn't put a gun to his head while he was in bed with Ivana.

She needs to figure out what happened to that blasted dress, find the fake judge and tell Gerry to find the valet guy that worked at Ivana's show. Because I agree, when people start blasted her reputation like Maleny did, half the time she just stands there while other people come out snapping for her.

jardinero part 2 was very good thanks.
all these lies lies lies and more lies, it's like watching the" game of Thrones" on steroids.
I like Maria Dolores, but the girl is swimming with snakes, she has no idea what's going on and max said it right " I hope you know what you doing" but she don't. They should stop making Macs be responsible for Maleny the girl got some serious psychological problems. she's been abused by her crazy mama and all kind of junk thats been going on with her.
She needs help, but her witch of a mother wants money. Sad sad sad.:-(

Wow Jardinera this was a very nice recap. I couldnt imagine that it reached 103 comments Holy Manny!

Well to add my thoughts all of the mothers except Espy are either possesive, obsessive and un-understanding. Only Espy manages to care for her children's happiness without other motives. She has raised them in a poor enviorment but gave them much much love in return. Hosefa is obviosly just abusing Isela who is not even her daughter so she doesnt even amount to get mentioned as a Mother. Ursula also damaged her kids beyond return with her toxic influence. Hon and Alma try to be good mums but are too gullible and judgmental.
Espy is definetly the real Mother of the Year ( Not to be confused with the title "Mommy Dearest")

Claudio might have not killed Hector ( If it was an actual murder) but he did hid a crime. If Isela ever finds out his past then Claudio's carreer , freedom and reputation are definetly screwed. And just because Arango is suffering from remorse does not mean that he did not pull the trigger. He has the most to hide so far . But the most likely candidate is Ursula the Ice Queen.

Nina haha yes this could be the Mexican GOT without the dragons and kingdoms except that here the dragons have gave away their skin for human forms. They are like lions seeking to devour eachother until their brains freeze from lies told. The lie is all there is !

And these blades decorating the Iron Throne must have been taken from Dan's fallen lies , one blade for each lie forged by Claudio the Dread . Littlefinger has counted and there arent even 200!
