Lo Imperdonable #69 (Mex #70) Fri 8/21/15 Ana Perla Tries To Pull A Demetrio
Pablo tells AP that he'll clear up this misunderstanding. AP and Julio leave. Mariana confronts Pablo and tells him that there's no misunderstanding. She tells him that they're so close to getting married and he's off having a fling to pass time. Pablo shoves Mariana .. and it bugs me that he did that .... because there was no reason for it.. Anyway, Pablo yells at Mariana that AP is not a fling ... and asks her where she got the idea that they're getting married ... he tried to be SUBTLE (and that was exactly the problem, Pablo) about it to not hurt her.. but they broke up. Mariana tells Pablo that it wasn't what she understood and since he wasn't clear with her she went on with the wedding preparations. Pablo asks her how she could think they are still together if after all this time he never even called her or anything. (He makes a good point there...)
At the hotel, Vero wants Mati to help her out with Dorita. FF -->
Mariana cries. Pablo tells her that this is exactly what he didn't want. For her to suffer or to make a scene because he broke up with her. She gets snobby and tells him that she can't believe that after all that she has done for him he's leaving her for a .... Pablo interrupts her and tells her to not dare insult AP. He goes on to tell her to go back home. He says that he has to fix things with AP. He says that he wants nothing to do with Mariana. He starts to leave but she grabs him by the arm to stop him. She tells him that she has everything ready for their wedding and asks him to think about what is more covenient for him. Pablo tells her that they have to talk but they have to both calm down. He asks her to stop crying. Mariana wants to talk at the hotel.
Manuel drinks a beer and chats with his pal Juancho. Manuel is sure that he'll be the owner of Gramps' mine one day. Juancho is willing to help Manuel but Manuel must make sure that he's in Gramps' will. When Juancho spots Gramps coming their way, the two of them hide. Manuel nibbles on some mint leaves to cover up his alcoholic breath. He then shoos Juancho away. Gramps had been on his way to ask Marty how Manuel has been behaving. Because you know Manuel is a little boy who needs to be checked on. Manuel tells Gramps that if he hasn't heard any complaints it's because he's been a good boy. Gramps tells Manuel that if he continues being a good boy then he'll be welcomed back home.
Mati, Magda, and Vero work on AP and Pablo's wedding favors. They get talking about wedding dresses and Magda wishes she could have seen Vero's wedding dress. Vero mentions that she's thinking of having it sent over for her to wear at her vow renewal. Vero wishes that her whole family, especially Emi and Jorge, could be at her vow renewal. But she doubts that it'll be possible because of what has been happening between them.
Jorge has told Salma about the appearance of Clemente. Jorge doesn't trust Clemente. Salma, on the other hand, is all for Vero meeting her uncle because according to Salma, Vero has every right to find out about her origin. Why Vero may even want to get her real last name back. Jorge who has been working that brain of his lately realizes that Salma would love it if Vero were no longer a PC. He makes it clear to her that Vero is a PC whether she likes it or not. And that when he adopted her and gave her his last name it was to love her as a daughter. (Although the fool was quick to believe the worst of her..)
Vero explains to Magda that Jorge doesn't want her to be near Emi because Emi thinks he's in love with her and whenever they are together there are problems. Mati says that it'll change once Emi marries Virginia. Vero hopes that Emi can find happiness with Virginia but she really doubts it. (And she's right about that....)
Salma and Jorge argue about Vero. Salma is upset because Jorge is always thinking that she's anti-Vero. Jorge is sure that's the case because Salma is always trying to convince him that Vero should be discarded from the family. Salma tells Jorge that it is Vero who distances herself from the family. Oh and Vero is always causing problems between them. If Vero is not happy with us then let her return to her old family, she tells Jorge. Jorge tells Salma that he won't discard Vero from his life. It doesn't matter that he's mad at Vero. For him, Vero is his daughter despite Salma thinking that Vero is an intruder. Salma whines that they're arguing again due to Vero. Jorge tells Salma that it is Salma herself that infuriates him when she wants to distance Vero from the family.
Gramps invites Manuel to lunch and Manuel pretends to be happy that he'll be spending some time with Gramps. We find out that Eleazar is coming to town (Oh no...). Gramps will let Eleazar know that the arranged married with AP is off when he arrives. (Double oh no...)
Pablo and Mariana argue some more. Mariana is pissed at Pablo because Pablo is acting as the offended one. Pablo tells her off for causing him problems with AP. Mariana tells Pablo that everything is ready for their wedding and they can't cancel. She doesn't believe that he loves AP. He tells her that AP Is the only woman he wants as a wife. Mariana slaps him hard across the face. Mariana is now worried about being humiliated in front of everyone (if she cancels the wedding) and he lets her know that he's about to lose the love of his life because of her.
Julio tries to get a boat to take him and AP home. Meanwhile, AP is still in tears and wants to die. She wanders off and makes it to cliff and the fool throws herself off of it. Fortuantely, Julio realizing that AP has wandered off looks for her and rushes to save her when he sees her throwing herself off the cliff.
Uspin is given Ireri's hand in marriage. A formal engagement will be made later. Medel breaks down and cries and leaves. Ireri tries to go after him but Joaquin stops her telling her that it hurts Medel to lose what he loves the most. Uspin thinks it's because Ireri is like Medel's daughter. Manuel and Gramps arrive at the bar. Manuel finds out about Ireri and Uspin's engagement. He thoughtbubbles that Ireri is only for him. Die Manuel. Die.
Blanquita tells Botel that she wants to be nurse. FF --> She wants Botel to train her. Lorenzo arrives with a wounded hand.
Julio pulls AP to safety and she passes out in his arms.
Pablo and Mariana argue some more. They try to get a ride back to the hotel but Uspin can only take one passenger because his boat is full of fish. So Pablo tries to get Mariana to leave. But she refuses to get on the boat due to the smell. So Pablo leaves instead.
Julio screams for help. Marty hears the scream and rushes over to him. Julio tells Marty that AP tried to throw herself off the cliff. Julio and Marty carry AP to take her to Botel.
At a restaurant in the city, Pierre calls Claudia. Pointless chit chat so I won't go into detail. Basically, he surprises her by actually being at the restaurant and right behind her. She kisses him. He eventually surprises her again with two tickets to Cancun. Claudia squeeee's and when he asks her if she has any more doubts she replies that she doesn't. (And how could she after he has offered to take her to Cancun...) Claudia takes Pierre to introduce him to her parents.
Vero tells Magda about the complicated relationship she had with Salma thanks to Virginia who was always putting Salma against her. Vero is sure that Virginia has also put Emi and Jorge against her. And it hurts Vero because she loves them. Magda tells her not to be sad because she has her love. Mati tells Vero that she also has her love.
Cancun, Mexico
Emi and Virginia have made love on the yacht. Virginia never thought she'd ever make love on a yacht. Emi hopes it doesn't bother her. Virginia doesn't want him to think that she's crazy or anything but she would like to "experiment" with him -- LOL. She then tells him that she loves him.
Danny boy adds a new voice recording about his relationship with Virginia in his diary. With this voice recording Danny boy is assuring that Virginia won't betray him. He gets a call from Virginia. Virginia tells him that Emi gave her an engagement ring. Danny boy is not a happy camper. Virginia calms him down and tells him that this is what they wanted. She doesn't want him to mess this up. Danny boy hopes that Virginia will ditch Emi ASAP or else her medical history and his diary with their "adventures" recorded might be sent to Salma. He hangs up on Virginia.
Magda thought that Vero had grown up happy and surrounded by love. Vero tells her that she did grow up happy and received lots of love from Emi and Jorge. At that moment, Marty and Julio arrive carrying AP in their arms. Marty tells them that AP fell off a cliff. Botel and Blanquita come into the room. AP is taken to be examined by Botel.
Manuel runs into Mariana and finds out from her that she and Pablo are getting married.
Julio gives Magda, Mati, and Vero the 411 on what happened. AP wanted to die. Pablo ruined her life. Pablo is marrying someone else. Vero realizes Julio is talking about Mariana.
Manuel tries to get fed more info about Mariana and Pablo from Mariana by making her think that he'll advise Pablo to do the correct thing and marry her if she tells him all about Pablo and her. The two go for a drink.
Botel has examined AP who has regained consciousness. AP cries and Blanquita cries right along with her. And I want to cry because the tears won't stop.
Padre and Monchito run into Lorenzo. Name calling begins. FF -->
Mati and Polo take Dorita shopping. FF -->
Botel leaves to inform the others that AP Is doing better. AP tells Blanquita that Pablo lied to her. When Vero comes into the room, AP lets her know that Pablo is marrying someone else.
Padre wants Lorenzo to give Monchito a job at the mine to make up for calling Monchito names. Lorenzo gives Monchito the job and introduces him to the new miners. More name calling. FF --> (I'm about to call Mejia a name if he doesn't stop this....)
Jorge and Nicolas talk about the appearance of Clemente. Nicolas suggests calling Aldo the PI and having Clemente investigated. (And I'm screaming at the TV "Listen To Nicolas! Listen To Nicolas!") Jorge thinks Clemente's appearance could affect Vero and besides Emi is doing better and if Vero returns (because of Clemente) then everything could change for Emi. Nicolas asks if Salma knows about Clemente. Jorge replies that she does and that she thinks that Vero has the right to decide if she wants to meet her uncle or not. Nicolas thinks they should find out more about Clemente for Jorge and Vero's safety before making a decision about it. (Listen To Nicolas! Listen To Nicolas!)
Clemente and Aaron wait outside the PC's offices. Aaron wants Clemente to let him know who Jorge's secretary is when she comes out of the building.
Vero tries to convince AP that it's all a misunderstanding. But AP thinks it's all true and believes that Pablo lied to her to sleep with her. Vero tries to make her understand that killing herself was wrong. AP gets it. Blanquita thinks AP will be able to clear things up with Pablo. But AP says that she'll never talk to him again.
Manuel gets Mariana drunk and she feeds him more info about her and Pablo.
Dorita thanks Vero for all the dresses she gave her. FF -->
Monchito starts to work at the mine and things don't go so well. FF -->
Vero thank Mati for helping her with Dorita. FF -->
AP cries over Pablo. Gramps knocks on her door and wants her to open up. AP tells Gramps she has a headache and wants to rest.
Pablo explains to Vero and Marty that it was all misunderstanding. Romeo tells Pablo that he tried to warn him but wasn't able to. Pablo wants to go and see AP and Gramps. But Marty advises him to wait until tomorrow.
Manuel shows up at Gramps' place and relishes telling him that Pablo has been fooling them because he's about to get married to someone else. Gramps doesn't take the news well. END OF EPISODE.

"Emi asks Virginia to teach him to love her. Wait a minute ... now that's not something you want to hear from your future husband .. oh Emi... "
Really? How romantic.
But Pierre sounds like he did a much better job. Claudia has trapped, uh I mean, found her sugar daddy, un I mean, true love.
Barbara
Pablo is too wimpy & simpy to get married to Ana Perla. Go back to Mexico and get a real job.
Mariana is too thirsty & stupid to get married to Pablo. Go to New York and find somebody else.
1. OK who is driving the boat while Emi is once again deflowering Vsnake.
Earlier he was at the helm steering and adjusting the throttles.
Then in the afterglow scenes back in the cockpit you can see the wake rolling
off the boat as it is still underway. For a handful of reasons,
including other boats which might assume you see them, you do not do that.
Or was there a captain included in the rental and they just told him
"just pretend we are not here."?
2. Didn't Manual have to go back to work? He was ostensibly on his lunch break
when he stumbled onto Hurricane Marianna. They sat there and were well
into a second fifth of what appeared to be hard liquor so he would not
have been allowed back into the mine notwithstanding his three hour lunch.
Then, When he arrived home that evening he seemed sober enough to rat out
Pablo and he should have been stumbling falling down drunk. Not to mention what shape lil ole Marianna would have been in. Manual... Boyfriend problems....drunk pouring her heart out to you...hit it and quit it.
3. Why oh why oh why did stupid sh*t Jules rescue AP? Send her to the
fishes and she will not contribute to mankind's gene pool. After all
poor Pablov has gone through with the Old Goat and Manual and Julio
now they hit their first real speed bump and she is jumping off a cliff?
goodbye AP.. Next?
Like Barbara, loved your quip about the very unromantic "teach me to love you" request. And "thankfully neither Uni nor the Mexican broadcast shows it".
And oh my..unnecessary violence--Pablo shoves Mariana. Ugh. Have never quite adjusted to the levels of violence (shoves, slaps, punches, hysterical crying over every setback and glitch) that they favor on these shows. But...it's en español so I keep watching.
Also loved your (oh no...) and (Double oh no...). plus "And I want to cry because the tears won't stop."
Sounds like the whole episode was Oh No and Fast Forward but I'll watch it later on today because at least it will be a break from yard work!
Recap was great, Mauricio. Thanks for doing double duty and always entertaining, regardless of the quality of the program.
I have got to say Juan Ángel Esparza (Manuel) is a really good actor. His last scene with Crescienco was good acting including his smirk at the end. Top marks! For me, although I dont really like Pablo and AP storyline, but what makes this interesting is the inclusion Manuel in the plot.
Last night was not as good as I expected it to be. I hated AP wanting to kill herself over Pablo. Glad that Vero made her see that what she did was wrong.
I agree that Juan Ángel Esparza is a good actor. He's doing such a great job with this role. The character is so hateful.
With Eleazar coming to town things are sure to get more complicated for AP/Pablo.
There was so little of Vero and Marty last night. I wish there would be more focus on them to move their story along.
I'm not sure what happened to your comment. I'm sorry that it was removed. I have not removed any comments so I'm not sure what could have happened. You are welcomed to post an opposing view. Opposing views are what makes the discussions more interesting.
Gringo, no one removed your comment, it looks like Blogger ate it!
"Gramps doesn't take the news well."
What a rollicking good job.
gringo,
Of all comments to mysteriously vanish, it had to be yours. I always look forward to what you have to say, so I hope that you give it another try, especially if it was a dissenting opinion. As Mauricio said, "Opposing views are what makes the discussions more interesting."
Eleazar's coming to town? I thought he had already dropped out. Has he even ever met Ana Perla?
Onyx needs to get more involved. He could have participated in Ana Perla's rescue.
Carlos
This is just one example:
"We find out that Eleazar is coming to town (Oh no...). Gramps will let Eleazar know that the arranged married with AP is off when he arrives. (Double oh no...)"
Sooooooo funny, my friend!
So Claudia is going to turn down the job in Querétero for a vacation in Cancún? Hee hee. It will be fun when she and Pierre bump into Ginny and Emi at The Only Hotel in Cancún, or perhaps at The Only Restaurant (or The Only Beach).
"(Listen To Nicolas! Listen To Nicolas!)"
Do we think Jorge will?
Thank you, Mauricio, and all of you terrific recappers. I so enjoyed catching up, and you make it so fun.
Can anyone tell me why it is that Martin believes that it was Vero who messed with Demetrio? I mean is he just going by the "V", and if so, with Virginia in the picture, how is it that he's so sure? I missed a number of chapters along the way so just wondering how that came about?
Thanks!
Martin thinks that Vero is the one responsible for Demetrio's death because Virginia spread vicious lies and rumors about Veronica, to the point that even Emiliano and uncle Jorge- two people that have always been team Veronica also believed her to be a slut that had an affair with Demetrio and many other men.
Martin, our so called galan went after Veronica for revenge based on that and on her personality. Virginia has put on a show of being innocent, and sickly, always a victim of Veronica's.
She put on such a good show that Martin believed her and condemned Veronica because she unlike Virginia has a strong personality, is beautiful and worst off all she made the mistake of telling Martin that she thinks money is important, this last bit led Martin to believe she was a gold-digger and that she was the one who sent his brother off to search for gold and later broke his heart by not waiting for him to strike it rich.
It was all a misunderstanding that could have been cleared up if Martin had just asked Veronica about her relationship with Demetrio, instead he jumped to conclusions and married her just to get revenge-in fact as of now he still believes she had an affair with his brother and was responsible for his death.
Actually, I'd like to see Nanci with Emi on the Yacht with No Pilot. She would probably enjoy the trip.
Thank you so much for filling me in. So it's really all speculation on Martin's part, with no proof whatsoever. I did get that he still believes she's the one who is responsible for Demetrio's death, and of course, we viewers see Virginia for what she really is, but to go that far and marry Vero for revenge when he has no proof? I love the actor, Ivan Sanchez, and he's now decided regardless of what he believes Vero's done, he loves her, but there is definitely trouble in that paradisio. Vero is not exactly the forgiving kind.
Again, thank you, Eli. You summed it up perfectly!
"...instead he jumped to conclusions and married her just to get revenge..."
Mari,
"Vero is not exactly the forgiving kind."
Thanks ladies, that pretty well sums up where we are after all this time.
Gin and tonics are waiting for both of you at the Virginia Table... don't worry, we'll find a way to make room.
Carlos
Until then, enjoy!
Gracias, Mari
Manuel is an a$$
Mariana is annoying.
Julio isn't helping.
Jorge is two faced.
Selma annoys me ti no end.
I am so glad they bought thst little girl some
New clothes, now they should make sure she
Gets a good bath. Maybe vero and marty can
Adopt her........ no poor baby got enough problems. Vero and marty ain't stable.
Manuel is a piece of horse poop.
Welcome back to the Patio. I'm glad that you have decided to join us here. Have a nice trip and looking forward to having you join in on the discussion when you get back!
I didn't include it in the recap but they make sure that Dorita took a bath before she tried on any of the clothes that they bought her.
It would definitely be fun if Pierre and Claudia bump into Virginia and Emi.
Cancun seems to be the ONLY vacation spot in Mexico.
I enjoy when the city folks visit Green Hell and interact with the village folks.
I miss seeing Emi, Virginia, Daniel, & Claudia being there.
Eli, tequila and Cheetos work for me!
Almost can't wait to be back...
Enjoy, and talk soon!
I am in disagreement with you on one thing though.---Pablo shoves Mariana and it bugs me that he did that...because there was no reason for it. Really? I guess that we could get technical over push or shove but that isn't the point. I went back and watched it again just to make sure. Mariana was mad as she could be. She wouldn't stop or slow down even a little. She was in Pablo's face and he pushed her back to get the OUT OF CONTROL woman off of or away from him--to give him some space. All
in all it was nothing. The push/shove wasn't enough to cause Mariana to loose her footing, or to become off balance and fall. He was just trying to get some space between them, nothing more. Actually at the time I was thinking that he should throw her in the nearby river. A little cold river water just may have been enough to wake up her sleeping brain and snap her back into reality. He told her that he wasn't going to marry her and she just didn't get it.
JudyB---Oh such unnecessary "violence." Really??? He pushed the mad as hell woman back to get her off of him. As aggressive and out of control as Mariana was, Pablo had no other choice than to try to keep the delusional woman off of him. Talking of
violent, excluding the padre, Pablo is the least violent of all. Manuel, Aaron, Crazy Marty and yes, everyone's heart throb Julio are more violent than Pablo.
Not a spoiler because we all saw it Friday night but Monday we really do see some violence as Manuel goes for his favorite weapon, a knife. Actually we all should be thanking the telenovela gods that Manuel doesn't have access to a gun. At least with a knife the intended victim has some chance but when one is on the wrong end of a gun, well???
The boat did appear to be on auto pilot.
Anonymous 9:10 AM---Didn't Manuel have to get back to work?--Does Manuel ever work?
Can't wait for Monday, as surely it is must see tv.
the gringo
Yep, there are a lot more violent types in this one than (usually) mild-mannered artist Pablo. We're still on the same page, Gringo.
the gringo
Lorenzo sure must be having a bad week. Now he has to supervise Monchito and Manuel. In regards to the Monchito/Lorenzo name calling fest: not only is it boring but I've never known it to be a way to assure employment. Maybe Padre should share this technique with the unemployed everywhere.
"Gramps invites Manuel to lunch and Manuel pretends to be happy that he'll be spending some time with Gramps.'
Manuel has really grown in the last 2 episodes. His ability to finally restrain himself and show increasingly unctuous behavior made me laugh this episode—no mean feat since I hate him so much.
Doesn't it seem right that Vero should at least try to talk to Dorita's dad first before she takes her out of Mina Escondida (my guess is that shop was in Pueblo Nuevo), bathe her and buy her a large amount of clothing?
Mauricio, when AP and Blanquita were lloraring and wailing and you said,
“And I want to cry because the tears won't stop. “
I think Botel felt the same way. I liked how he calmly put his pen down from writing, walks over to Ana Perla and tells her to breathe through her nose.
Anonymous Sat 9:10 AM Sat, Good points especially 1 & 2. But you err in thinking this is like real life! LOL!
"Vero is not exactly the forgiving kind.”
I don’t think I agree with this. Though Vero talks a big game about not forgiving liars, her mother, etc., she hasn’t really followed through. She forgave Emi for trashing her reputation at the engagement party, she has forgiven Crazy Marty at least twice for believing she’s a slut, liar and gold-digger.
Carlos, “Onyx needs to get more involved. He could have participated in Ana Perla's rescue.”
Definitely agree—a missed opportunity.
I think it would be fun to meet Claudia’s parents. I hope we go along with Pierre!
Barbara
I'm so happy to see that your comment managed to stick, though I have to disagree with you, and apparently now Judy (whom I hold in the highest esteem), as well as Nina (whom I also admire a lot). While I don't think that the shove qualifies as an assault, I though it was at a minimum a rather ungallant and unnecessary gesture. Please, she wasn't assaulting him. Let's face it, he never made it clear that he was breaking it off with her. Yes, she was a bit presumptuous in her expectations but a little more honesty and clarity on his part would have spared a lot of grief. It's probably a good thing that she wasn't totin' a gun.
Too bad that we don't have our beloved Sylvia here to address the sailing question that was brought up. To me however,it didn't look as though the sea was all that crowded that day so I say, party-on kids. (Didn't Virginia look stunning?) When I say we need to see more of her, of course I mean timewise, I think we've already seen as much of her otherwise as Univision will allow.
Carlos
I still say that a splash into the cold river may have been just what she needed to
wake up her SLEEPING brain. How long has it been since Pablo broke up with her and not a single letter or phone call? This women is so love blind that her brain had completely shut down.
But speaking of the "little push" brings back a memory that goes way back to 2002. Your sweet Virginia/Grettell Valdez was a young school girl (high school?) back then. There was a big, big argument ( not Grettell, someone else) I don't know what the argument was about because I didn't have access to an English recap back then but the argument was very heated. The woman, like Mariana was mad as hell. She pushed the man hard then moved in for more aggression. The man pushed back---not as hard mind you as she pushed him but because she was smaller and pounds lighter, the
lady went backwards and through the sliding glass patio door (a Televisa dramatic affect) Patio doors are made of strong glass. But anyway the glass shattered into a thousand pieces as she went backwards and then over the balcony railing five or six stories high landing dead on the parking lot pavement.
Now that was violence, a non intended death for sure but a death never the less. The little thing with Pablo was hardly worth mentioning. But I hope that Mariana did get the message this time. Poor Pablo will have a lot of patching up to do but it won't happen for a long time I'm afraid. The Old Goat will be doing everything he can to keep Pablo away. And then there's Manuel!!!
Like I always say---must see tv.
the gringo
I'm looking forward to a brand new week of Imperdonable.
Despite it having FF moments I'm still really enjoying the show.
I agree with Carlos. To me, it seemed unecessary and not something a gentlemen would have done. It also seemed out of character for Pablo.
"Doesn't it seem right that Vero should at least try to talk to Dorita's dad first before she takes her out of Mina Escondida (my guess is that shop was in Pueblo Nuevo), bathe her and buy her a large amount of clothing?"
Yes. I thought the same thing. Plus, she enrolled her in school without his permission.
I wonder if we'll ever get to meet her father. He seems so irresponsible.
