Happy Labor Day Weekend Everyone!
Wow, what an episode!
Wow, what an episode!
We begin with Vero on the phone with Mati. Vero enlists Mati in "Plan Unmask (or in this case Unveil) Ginny" and wants her to gather up all the letters and photos. Vero wants to use them against Virginia and clear her own name. Mati is more than willing to help out. Vero warns her to be careful with Virginia because she's capable of the worse.
Over at the San Telmo offices, Marty is pouring out his heart to Botel. Marty was blinded by his desire for revenge and refused to listen to his heart. Now he doesn't know if Vero will forgive him. We now hear some wise advice from Botel "In order to find forgiveness, one has to forgive themselves." he tells Marty. "Will you be able to forgive yourself for causing Vero so much pain?" Botel asks Marty. "I don't know, you can't even imagine the pain that I feel for all that I have made her suffer, and now I don't know if I will lose her forever." Marty replies.

At the PC mansion, Mati turns the corner of the hallway leading to Virginia's room and stops dead in her tracks when she sees the Viper herself standing at her door with Mariana. Mariana had been telling Virginia her plans about moving to Paris to get over Pablo dumping her. When Virginia notices Mati's presence, she rudely dismisses Mati telling her to get lost. Mariana leaves as she makes a rude face at Mati.
At Pablo's pad, his mother Lucia arrives with some food. Pablo is worried because the landlord stopped by to collect the rent. Lucia tells him that she'll see if she can get a loan at her job. Pablo feels terrible that he's dragging his mother down this "I have no money, can't paint, lost my girl " path. Lucia laments that she can't do more for her son. "If only I had some hope..." Pablo tells his mother. Pablo tells Lucia that AP is getting married with someone else. "Her resentment was stronger than the love that we promised each other" Pablo tells his mother.

Meanwhile at Gramps' place, Manny is sharpening his knives at the kitchen table. When AP walks into the kitchen, Manny starts with his threats. If AP doesn't obey Gramps and marries Eleazar than Manny will kill Pablo. Manny leaves and AP starts the waterworks. "Why did you have to lie to me, Pablo?" AP asks herself.

At the PC mansion, Jorge comes in to check on Emi in his room. The two get a little emotional talking about Emi's bio mom and how she'd be so happy to see Emi taking this important step if she were still with them. Mati comes into the room to deliver Emi's shoes which a worker shined for him. Salma stands at the door and is not amused when she overhears Jorge inviting Mati to the wedding. But she musters up a true "fake Ginny smile" and enters the room showing her pearly whites.
Meanwhile, the bride is ready for the wedding. She calls up her favorite doc and lover Danny boy and leaves him a voicemail when he doesn't answer the phone. She tells him that she wanted to tell him that he knows how she feels and that they're about to get what they want. She also tells him that she'll be thinking about him. She hangs up and picks up a photo of Dim. She tells Dim that she'll finally make her dream of becoming rich come true and that she laments that it wasn't with him.
Back in Emi's room, Salma rather rudely orders Mati to get ready for the wedding. Mati is taken aback by the invite coming from Lady Viper herself and rushes off to get ready. Emi heads for the garden so he can clam his nerves. But before he leaves, his parents remind him that they love him. Hugs. Emi leaves. Now alone, Jorge tells Salma that they should try and get along like they used to, and at least for today they should try and not argue. Salma agrees. But she calls Jorge out on him working too much lately and being so irritable. She leaves leaving Jorge wanting to mutter out something which he doesn't.
At the San Telmo offices, Marty isn't able to reach Vero on the phone. "Maldita Virginia!" Marty says. He blames Virginia for causing him to doubt Veronica. "They say that the best costume of evil is in sweetness and fragility" Botel tells Marty. (Botel is quite the philosopher today, no? Shocking I know).
Back at the PC mansion, Virginia slithers down the stairs in her wedding dress. She calls up Danny boy once again (but we don't know if she leaves another voicemail or actually speaks to him this time). She tells him that she's calling him again so he can give her the strength to go along with the wedding. Oh, and she also needs him to stop by the mansion and use his set of keys to get in so he can burn the contents of a box that is under her bed. She hangs up. Jorge arrives and the two leave arm in arm to head to the church.
Back at the San Telmo offices, Botel talks with Magda on the phone and finds out that she and Vero and are on their way to the PC mansion. He informs this to Marty.

At Gramps' place, AP cries a river in the kitchen. Julio comes in and catches her sobbing. He curses Pablo and wishes he could make him pay for all the tears AP has shed because of him. Julio asks AP not to get married. AP explains that she no other choice. Well, Julio thinks she does have a choice. He loves her and she could get hitched with him. AP doesn't respond, she just stands there and weeps. What else is new, right? Julio tells AP that if she doesn't have feelings for him or if she was bothered by what he told her then she could pretend he never said it. He leaves. AP weeps some more.
At the PC mansion, Vero and Magda arrive. They find out from one the maids that the family has already left for the wedding ceremony and where the ceremony will take place. Vero's cell phone rings but she doesn't want to answer it when she sees that Marty is the caller. Magda convinces her to take the call because it could be important. Now on the phone with her hubby, Marty tries to persuade Vero to not do anything and let Emi marry Virginia. But Vero doesn't want to hear it. She's determined to clean her name and she hangs up on Marty.

The guests are gathered outside the church when Salma and Emi arrive. While Emi greets other guests, Salma chit chats with Montse and Mariana. Meanwhile, Nico enjoys the view from behind.
Meanwhile, Veronica and Magda are in a cab and racing against the clock to make it in time to the wedding. Veronica asks the driver to step on it.
Outside the church somewhere, Jorge and Virginia chit chat as Jorge walks Virginia to the steps leading to the church.
Over at Gramps' place, Manny and Gramps are having a man to man talk with Eleazar. Manny wants to know what Eleazar has to offer AP. Eleazar explains that his family has lands that he'll work to make productive once he gets his diploma. Gramps has already decided where the wedding will take place and where the newlyweds will live. The wedding will take place in Mina Escondida. And as for the living arrangements, well the newlyweds will live with Gramps. Period. End of discussion. Eleazar tries to get a word in edgewise but he isn't allowed. Gramps has spoken. Caso Cerrado. Eleazar brings up how AP's not too keen on the wedding. But AP who has entered the room says that she has thought about it and she does accept to marry him. That being settled, Eleazar leaves to take care of some business but he'll be back. (Eleazar is no Terminator, IMO)
We are taken back to Virginia and Jorge who still haven't climbed the stairs leading to the church entrance. Hmm.. this is good for Vero I guess.
Still in the cab, Vero and Magda continue their quest to make it to the church on time.
Outside the church, Emi and Nico enter. Virginia and Jorge arrive.

We take a detour to Mina Escondida, where Ireri and Uspin, our only happy couple at the moment, are about to take a swim (skinny dipping, perhaps?) in the river. They talk about their upcoming nuptials and reserving a spot at the church and about how sad it is that Gramps will be marrying AP off with someone she doesn't love.

At Gramps' place, Eleazar arrives to give AP her engagement ring. Blanquita is not happy.
At Pablo's pad, Pablo weeps clutching AP's blue shawl.
Back at Gramps' place, Eleazar puts the ring on the finger of a gloomy AP. Gramps threatens to recite his "how a husband must act" speech to Eleazar but thankfully he doesn't do it right then and there. Instead he invites Eleazar to sit at the table. The family starts to talk about the wedding preparations. But when Raymunda mentions purchasing a suit for little Polo, the spunky little kid tells his family that he doesn't want AP to marry Eleazar. (You gotta love that kid ... he's got spunk .. and I love spunk)

Back at Pablo's pad, he still weeps. (Ok, Mejia, we get it... please stop it)
Still in the cab, Vero and Magda run into traffic so the two decide to power walk the rest of the way to the church to make it there in time.
Oh, goodie. Finally, the wedding. Virginia walks down the aisle in Jorge's arm. Emi stands at the altar and attempts to muster up a smile. Virginia makes it down the aisle and joins her soon to be hubby at the altar. In the audience, Mati is not amused.
Back at the Gramps' place, he reprimands Polo. Eleazar asks Polo to give him a chance to get to know him. He's sure they'll get along. Polo isn't backing down and continues on with the sass. He says that the engagement ring that Pablo gave to AP may not have been much but at least AP was happy when she received it. Blanquita tries to shush Polo but the kid's not going to keep quiet. Polo mentions how Pablo gave AP a ring made out of the string from AP's shawl and AP was all smiles over it. He then goes on to ask AP if she's planning on using the same wedding dress she had planned to use with Pablo. Gramps threatens to send Polo to his room but Polo could care less. He'll go to his room then because it's not fair that AP is marrying someone that she doesn't love. Polo leaves. AP weeps and Eleazar promises to get AP a new wedding dress and shawl. AP flashbacks back to a time she spent with Pablo and leaves the table stating that she does not feel well.
Now in her room, AP puts on the ring made out of her shawl's string that Pablo gave her. She weeps and recalls when Pablo gave her the ring. We then go back and forth with AP and Pablo weeping and remembering the good times they spent together and then remembering the not so good times (ex: when Mariana caught them together, and when Pablo had been shot in the hand, and Manuel had been shot in the colon). Their theme song swells in the background. Blanquita comes in to see AP and finds her weeping. She tells AP that she has to be strong but AP tells her that she can't. She loves Pablo. Gramps and Raymunda enter the room and Gramps reprimands AP for having been rude to Eleazar and orders her to wipe her tears and go and apologize to Eleazar.
The wedding ceremony has begun.

Vero and Magda rush to make it to church on time but Magda hurts her leg. Magda tells Vero she's fine and asks her to go on ahead. Vero runs off.

Back at the ceremony, the ceremony continues. Danny boy makes his entrance and Virginia looks back at him. Danny boy takes his seat. Padre now utters the famous "if anyone has reason for this wedding not to take place then speak now or forever hold your peace" and that's when Vero in a stunning red dress makes her grand entrance and annouces that Emi can't marry Virgina. All eyes our now on Vero. Vero accuses Virginia of having lied to both Emi and Jorge to make her out to be a slut. Then Vero annouces that she has the proof that Virginia and Dim were lovers and that it was because of Virginia that Dim offed himself. Caras de impactados all around. Salma looks at Virginia.
When we get back from the commercial break, Virginia as usual acts innocent and accuses Vero of making all this up to ruin the most important day of her life. Salma tries to kick Vero out when Magda makes her entrance and comes to Vero's defense. Emi wants to hear what Vero has to say. Virginia asks Emi to not let Vero ruin their wedding. Jorge wants to hear what Vero has to say to end all of this already. Caras de impactado all around. Emi asks Vero to speak. Now Marty and Botel make their entrance. Vero whips out the V necklace and shows it to everyone. "What does that prove?" Virginia asks Vero. "You took it from me when Marty asked for your hand in marriage." Virginia says. "Because it was mine, the one that has the scratch, you took it from me because you didn't have your own, you had given it to your lover." Vero says. "You don't even know what to invent to get your way, you have always wanted to destroy me, because your are jealous of me." Virginia says. "Why would I be jealous of you, because of what a hypocrite and how good you are at fooling everyone to make my aunt and uncle think that you are sooo good when you are a bad person that is only interested in money." Vero says. Virginia tries to strike Vero but Marty intervenes. He tells Virginia that the jig is up. He says that Vero is right and that his brother Dim had the necklace. The BROTHER bomb shocks the crowd.
More of AP and Eleazar. OK, so AP tells Eleazar that she can't stop loving Pablo all of a sudden. Eleazar tells AP that he knows that they're going to have an arranged married, but he has started to love her, and it's a fact that they're getting hitched, so they might as well start learning to love each other. AP tells Eleazar that she's sorry but she can't marry him. Her family who have entered the living room overhear.

Back at the church, Marty explains that Dim and him were brothers of the same mother. "How come you didn't say anything when we met?" Jorge asks Marty. "Because the only thing that I was interested in was meeting the woman that had pushed my brother to find a fortune in Mina Escondida and since he didn't find it soon YOU (Virginia) told him that you were abandoning him for a man (Emi) that was coming to Mexico." Marty says. "Now I know that that woman was Virginia and the man was Emi." Marty says. "You abandoned my brother and he couldn't deal with all the pain so he killed himself." Marty says to Virginia. This shocks the crowd. Montse even gasps but sadly no fly flies into her mouth. Darn.
Ugh.. more AP and Eleazar. He tells her that he loves her because she's honest. He's not asking her to love him right now but he has faith that their marriage will work once he wins her affection. "What if I never love you?" AP asks. "I'll know how to win your love." Eleazar replies. He tells her that he liked her from the moment he met her. He asks for an opportunity. He doesn't think that she'll get back together with that jerk that lied to her.
OK, back to the church. Virginia states that it's obvious that Marty would back up Vero because he's her hubby after all. Also, the thing with the necklace proves nothing because the two V necklaces are the same. Vero now shows everyone the other V necklace and explains how she agreed to wear her V necklace the day of the engagement party because she had hers but Virginia didn't because Virginia knew that Dim had it. Virginia denies and denies. She says that Vero is only trying to find excuses for having been Dim's lover. Magda steps in and says that Vero never had anything to do with Dim. And Nanci is a witness of it. Virginia asks Emi to not believe anything coming from Vero's mouth. But Emi has remembered to use to his brain and tells Virginia that he knows Vero very well and knows that she'd never do all of this without reason. Emi says that Vero does not lie. Now it's Mati turn to speak up. She mentions the photos and letters that Virginia has hidden in her room. Mati whips out the photo and tells everyone how the photo she is holding was among other photos. She mentions how in the photo Virginia and Dim are hugging as if they were a couple. She hands Jorge the photo. Virginia cries and cries and accuses Mati of lying to make Vero happy. Mati mentions how she read some letters where Dim begged Virginia to give him more time to find the gold that she wanted. Mati says that Marty is right and that Virginia condemned Dim to die because of her greed. Virginia cries. Reactions all around.
AP tells Eleazar that she knows that she and Pablo are done and that she must go along with her wedding to Eleazar to save the life of .. umm her grandpa who is sick. It's just that it's hard for her to go along with all of this but she is sure that she eventually will. Eleazar is positive about it as well. He promises to be patient and asks her to do her share. AP agrees.
We are taken back to Mina Escondida, where Joaquin shows Gaby (the new teacher) the sights. The two are really hitting it off. Joaquin admits to Gaby that he misses his family and she tells him that she understands. She tells him that she has always wanted a family and she hopes that this will be the place to have one.

Back at Gramps' place, the family eats at the table. AP feels queasy. Blanquita looks at her quizzingly.

Back at the wedding, Virginia cries and denies. Salma the fool believes in Virgina and verbally attacks Vero. Magda comes to Vero's defense and tells Salma that instead of attacking Vero they should try and find out who is telling the truth. Emi agrees that they should clear things up and wants to go home to do it. Virginia begs Emi not to cancel the wedding. Virginia wants to get married first then clear things up. But Emi continues to work his brain and cancels the wedding. Virginia cries and tells Salma that she wants to die. Then she starts to fake a crisis. Vero calls Virginia out on faking a crisis. Vero notices Danny boy and asks Virginia to ask Danny boy to tend to her like the day she saw them kissing at the hotel. Danny boy leaves. Virginia cries and and acts as if she can barely speak and denies denies. Salma consoles Virginia.
In Mina Escondida, Medel puts Ramon on a trial run as a waiter at the cantina.
Back a the church, Virginia tries to get Mariana to intercede on her behalf and state that it is a lie that she and Danny boy were kissing. Vero dares Mariana to lie in front of the altar but before Mariana can utter a word her mother takes her away. Salma tries to attack Vero verbally and Magda defends Vero. Salma tells Jorge that she'll never forgive him for allowing all of this to take place. Virginia continues her act of not feeling well. Botel goes to check on her. Salma tells Vero that if Virginia dies then it'll be her fault. Botel suggests an ambulance being called so Virginia can get some tests done at the hospital. But Virginia miraculously recovers and says it's not necessary. She wants to head home so she can show everyone that Vero is lying.
At Gramps', AP faints in front of her family.
Back at the church, Vero apologizes to Emi but she just couldn't let him get married while he was being lied to. Emi thanks her for having spoken up and apologizes for having believed Virginia's lies and having offended her at the her engagement party. Vero tells Emi that it wasn't his fault. He was tangled up in Virginia's lies. Emi leaves to speak with Jorge. Magda talks to Vero and tells her that she feels bad because with all of this she realizes that Vero wasn't as happy as she thought. Vero tells Magda that it's all in the past and that she's happy that she has gotten back her uncle's and Emi's trust. Vero hopes that Jorge will believe her. Marty tells Vero that he has been speaking with Jorge and he does believe her. Marty apologizes to Vero and says that until now he hadn't realized that he too was mistaken. Vero tells Marty that she told him that she was going to clean her name and she won't rest until that happens. And that includes Marty who has always doubted her. END OF EPISODE.

It was a very delicious episode except for the AP familia story....sooooooo boring!
I thought that Ana Brenda and Ivan Sanchez were the leads in this TN?? So the AP interludes make it most disappointing and distracting especially when trying to get back to the real reveal with Virginia and Emi.
So happy to see Virginia get her comeuppance, I HOPE! Looks like Veronica may distance herself from Marty for awhile now that the truth is out and he's looking like the ass he's been all along. So does this mean she and Emiliano will become closer friends for awhile? Will Virginia pass the poison around? Veronica better watch out now, for the sis will certainly think of something rabid. Salma must be overwhelmed with disbelief. Don't think Jorge will be overly shocked, but might change the will??? Looks too, like Botel called Virginia's bluff. What will Dr. Dan do? Will he also spill the beans from his computer?

Didn't Vsnake tell someone on the phone to use the key and get the cartas out of the house? This was before the wedding. Could Daniel be on his way to the house to do it? Isn't everyone going to the house to see the letters? Will Vsnake get out of it? Too bad !atilde didn't keep the one letter she found.

The big question is did Dr. D manage to get to the house and intercept/burn the little Demetrio box under her bed as instructed? If not, this could be a looooong wedding/not wedding day for Virginia. I could not but help notice the look on his face as things unfolded in the church. I waited for him to do something..anything, but he didn't. He is as guilty as Vsnake, maybe more so as he is a real medical doctor and is using this to be very dishonest. BTW, aside from the stab wound in Marteeeen, has he ever seen or treated anyone else beside Vsnake? Does this not seem strange to anyone?

Carvivlie: It was Daniel who Virginia instructed by phone to use his key and get the box and burn it's contents. The timing was sketchy though. It was very close to the wedding time and Vero and Maggy were at the house shortly after Matilde left, leaving Daniel a very narrow window to do his task. AND he appeared to be at the church on time. IE: he could not have been there after Vero, as he was at the church well before her. So he could have only slipped in after Matilde left and before Vero showed up. Hopefully he didn't make it. I have sat through this anvil-free TN and watched all manner of depravity go unpunished. I am ready for some of the rotten ones to pay for their sins.

We'll have to wait and see if Daniel had a chance to burn the letters and the photos. That is a big question that was left unanswered last night.
Awesome episode. My one thought about Virginia right now is like any viper caught in a trap she'll start biting and snapping at anybody in her line of vision. I wouldn't be surprised if she throws Dr Dan under the bus and blames him for the whole thing since since she's not the type to standby and go down alone.

In the avance it looked like Matilde gave a letter to Jorge, who had a look of disgust on his face. Emi threw the picture down on the bed with a look of disgust. All of this looked like it was taking place in Virginia's bedroom. So even if Daniel did burn up the rest of the letters, Emi & Jorge still are disgusted by Virginia.
The revelation of the past affair stops the wedding because Virginia told Emi, Jorge, Salma etc that Veronica was a sleep around slut who had trains of men running in and out of her bedroom & Veronica was having the affair with Demetrio digging for his gold. In contrast, Virginia was sweet, virginal and innocent.
The revelation shows that Virginia is the golddigger and sleep around slut. She can't be trusted. And both Jorge & Emi have seen Virginia push for Veronica NOT to get any money from Jorge ....remember the letter Matilde read said something to the effect of Virginia leaving Demetrio to marry a rich man instead of his broke behind, and him begging her to let him have more time to find some gold.

The revelation of the past affair stops the wedding because Virginia told Emi, Jorge, Salma etc that Veronica was a sleep around slut who had trains of men running in and out of her bedroom & Veronica was having the affair with Demetrio digging for his gold. In contrast, Virginia was sweet, virginal and innocent.
The revelation shows that Virginia is the golddigger and sleep around slut. She can't be trusted. And both Jorge & Emi have seen Virginia push for Veronica NOT to get any money from Jorge ....remember the letter Matilde read said something to the effect of Virginia leaving Demetrio to marry a rich man instead of his broke behind, and him begging her to let him have more time to find some gold.

I am NOT in agreement with Gayle and JKD---Martin and Veronica are not the only two people in the world or in this novela for that matter. Mejia has made the story even more interesting by including the lives, hopes and dreams of other people. Martin and Vero will be getting plenty of future time but in the mean time, other people do exist and they have interesting lives along with their hope for a happy future.
And speaking of a happy future, can anyone deny that Ana Perla isn't pregnant? A guarantee of a Ana Perla/Pablo future together. Right?

Morning all! It was nice to see Virginia get an anvil but it was just so blah. There was no tension and Virginia is just not that evil- I hate to compare BUT in La Mentira you were at the edge of your seat, and this was a let down.
Gringo, you are right, it's okay to have secondary story lines- but not when they over shadow your main story and frankly I'm s tired of the way AP's family acts that watching them on my screen gives me no joy, I just kinda pray that it's over soon.

I just love Polo. He's the only one in that family with any guts to stand up to Big Daddy. I don't count Manuel in this because he's an underhanded slime ball.
Loved Veronica in red showing up as she did. Unfortunately, I think the ever resourceful Virginia will cry her way out of this one too, with the help of Dr. Dan (the fool). There are just too many episodes left for Virginia to be exposed for who she really is.
Much as I love Ívan Sánchez, his character Martin marrying Vero for venganza is plain ridiculous, especially since he had absolutely no proof, just speculation. I don't blame Vero at all for considering his deceit imperdonable.

First off thank you to ALL the recappers and to Mauricio in advance. What a great week of recaps-- and was this the week with one from Carlos? Exciting indeed. I have found myself with another week of spending a delightful morning reading recaps, so thanks to all and apologies for not being able to read/comment before today.
My sense re Dr.Dan was that they had him come in just late enough to leave us wondering if he got the box. What a dope. The fact that he taped VSnake was the only sign we've had that he has any brains-- and he's a DOCTOR! BUT, as Anon 207 mentioned, Matilde definitely has at least one letter. Don't think it should take much more than that. And I do think Dr. Dummy Dan is starting to wise up and see he's getting played. I'm not sure that VSnake will have him to kick around much longer, UNLESS, as the avances indicated, she gets dumped and switches her goals from gold digger to grave digger.... for Veronica. Then I can see her playing doctor a little longer.
Re AP and Pablo, I ff through a bit, but I don't dislike the new guy-- seems to be honest at least, maybe too optimistic about her eventually loving him, but he's honest with her, but I find it a little slow. I also don't like that Blanquita is invisible. I think she's adorable and has a better personality than her cuz. Let's find her a nice guy since clearly Teo has left the show. And am I the only person who finds it vaguely amusing that in every TN the tell tale sign of pregnancy is fainting? I've had four kids myself and have never fainted and I don't know any friends that have either-- at least not because they were preggers.
I'm happy this show is finally moving forward. I'm not sure why Vero is so mad at Marty this time. Same old same old but FINALLY the truth is all out-- or maybe not. Does she now know about the marriage/revenge/goldmine lie?

Oh! Sorry, me again. I'm ready to find out how it's possible that VSnake is Salma's daughter. Feels a bit like LQLVMR to me. No way there is not some story about the time Salma went to live in Italy for 9 months and that's when she had a daughter and somehow "adopted" her later. Well, that's my bet anyway.

After she was seeded in their experiments, the Reptilians began to realize they had mistakenly abducted one of their own and quickly jettisoned her back to earth. I'm glad we're finally getting somewhere with the reveals, but knowing how many more episodes there are, I can't help but feel that things will still be slow and annoying... I want Virginia to get what's coming to her sooner rather than later. I'm so tired of her whining and Salma constantly protecting her and people believing lies about Veronica. This is getting old.

AP and Pablo storyline is the most annoying, by far. Stop doing the same things over and over again!! Crescencio is a grumpy old man, Manuel is a terrible person, AP weeps about everything, we get it. Try something else.

If it weren't for the chemistry between Ana Brenda and Ivan Sanchez, I might have never started watching or kept on watching even though this show pisses me off sometimes. (The child abuse by both Crescencio and Manuel is frankly disgusting.) Why do I keep torturing myself with this show??

Vero looked stunning and was great unveiling the bride at her non-wedding. Good for Emi to have believed Vero and for using his brain and cancelling the wedding so they could all go home and clear things up.
I loved looking at the facial expressions of the guests at the wedding. Montse had the best facial expressions. They were a hoot. I'm convinced she's supposed to be comic relief unlike Ramon who is terribly unfunny (not the actor's fault, but the writers).
It's sad when a little boy has the backbone to stand up his family and state his opinion. Good for him. Too bad AP can't do that. I hate how the only thing that is keeping her away from Pablo is Manny's threats.

So the wedding or non wedding is a bust---it's over, dead and buried. Up until this point we have seen very little of V-snakes evil, except for an attempted murder that didn't work out as intended. However I believe that from this point on, the viper's poisonous fangs will see a lot of action.---I wonder what Marty will be up to now that he knows who the "V" really is or was that caused Dimi's downfall and his suicide.
I have to go---more later.

Gale states that the AP Family is sooooo boring. Actually I like the contrast of Ana Perla's small mountain pueblo family life as contrasted against the big city life of the D.F. and it's people. I find her family interesting to watch while trying to figure out their next moves and attitudes. Grandpa Goat is a dying breed and one for the books hanging on to the old ways in a changing, more modern society. Yes even in Mina Escondita. Which way or side of the fence will Raymunda finely end up on? Blanquita is a nice young lady as is Ana Perla---the question is, when will AP get a backbone? That alone is worth staying tuned for. Manuel??? What can one say about Manuel other than rotten to the core. He's another reason to stay tuned. I mean, to watch and wait for his anvil. And Polo, well who couldn't love him. Yes, he's got spunk, another plus.
Mary stated that Marty marrying Vero for vengeance with no proof is plain ridiculous. Marty didn't have any hard concrete proof but he did have circumstantial proof from Vero's own family members. I think the thing that pushed Marty over the edge was when he asked Veronica's opinion of money and she answered that that money was very important. That answer was the icing on the cake for Marty. People tend to believe what they want to believe. Remember the old saying, "don't confuse me with the truth," Martin was so desperate to find the one that caused his brothers downfall that it didn't take much to convince him.
The question now is how will the war develop between him, Marty and V-snake?
Mongoose asks---Does this throttle back V-snake or does she move to plan B and turn on the afterburners? The answer is that she turns on the afterburners.
Mongoose also asks---Does Selma continue to support V-snake? The answer is yes, continued support. They're both snakes.
The biggest question of all is did Dr. Dan destroy the pictures and letters? Hard to say but I guess not. He will keep them and use them if he thinks that is necessary.
One last question---Will Veronica and Martin break up? I think yes, at least for a little while. She will now grow closer to Emi not as lovers but as best friends. He will give her his shoulder to cry on. Remember the Vero--Emi scenes in the opening credits?

Mary stated that Marty marrying Vero for vengeance with no proof is plain ridiculous. Marty didn't have any hard concrete proof but he did have circumstantial proof from Vero's own family members. I think the thing that pushed Marty over the edge was when he asked Veronica's opinion of money and she answered that that money was very important. That answer was the icing on the cake for Marty. People tend to believe what they want to believe. Remember the old saying, "don't confuse me with the truth," Martin was so desperate to find the one that caused his brothers downfall that it didn't take much to convince him.
The question now is how will the war develop between him, Marty and V-snake?
Mongoose asks---Does this throttle back V-snake or does she move to plan B and turn on the afterburners? The answer is that she turns on the afterburners.
Mongoose also asks---Does Selma continue to support V-snake? The answer is yes, continued support. They're both snakes.
The biggest question of all is did Dr. Dan destroy the pictures and letters? Hard to say but I guess not. He will keep them and use them if he thinks that is necessary.
One last question---Will Veronica and Martin break up? I think yes, at least for a little while. She will now grow closer to Emi not as lovers but as best friends. He will give her his shoulder to cry on. Remember the Vero--Emi scenes in the opening credits?

I agree that in relation to my comment about Martin marrying Vero for venganza with no substantial proof that people believe what they want to believe. It makes complete sense to me that this scenario would be in a TN. The fact that Vero said money is very important to her to me doesn't justify Martin's conjecture that she's guilty, especially when there is another "V" in the family. I'm just sorry this character is portrayed as a blind idiot...but that's just my opinion, lol.

I'm still very disappointed in the blatant intrusion on Virginia's privacy. She may not be a very nice person but it is just so wrong. No one deserves to have their private correspondence exposed to the public like that. And by her trusted Nanny at that.

If Vsnake had managed to actually KILL Jorge she might have an even more egregious invasion of privacy. IE: All her personal belongings on display in court, not to mention a nice friendly strip and other ‘things’ search on admittance to jail.

Blatant intrusion on privacy?! That must be a joke. Virginia's privacy was accidently infringed by Nana and then used by Vero to bring out the truth. (should've been exposed long ago.) I suppose it would've been better to let her marry and kill Joven, so she would have her well deserved privacy protected.

Mauricio, Thanks so much for the wonderful recap. The title was so clever and your screen shots quite witty. You are quite the talented one!
I have to weigh in on the AP and Pablo story. I am still enjoying it and am waiting to see what happens next:
I thought Eleazar was going to end up with Blanquita since she seemed to like him at first—but now I don’t think I would want the story to go that way. Blanquita should either end up with someone who really loves her, not her cousin’s “cast-off” or only continue to pursue her nursing degree with no man needed for now.
No way would Joaquin cheat on Raymunda because I would be devastated! I do think Joaquin should have taken Onix on that walk though. Onix would have enjoyed it too.
Someone mentioned earlier that Pablo and AP belong together because they are both “wusses”. I do think they are similar in how they relate to people. If I had to hang out with any of our couples on a regular basis (Vero/Marty, Pierre/Claudia, Ginny/Emi, or AP/Pablo) I would prefer AP and Pablo.
Moving on, I don’t think Salma will ever give up on Ginny (or possibly only in the very last episode or two) because I believe, like many of us do, that Ginny is her daughter.
JKD, it did appear that the wedding reception was cancelled as well. It seems stupid that all the food should go to waste.
I’m sure if Dr. Dan was able to get Ginny’s letters (perhaps he knows a faster route to the church), he would not destroy them. Dr. Dan cannot take Ginny down without taking himself down…..so he will only use this evidence as leverage to prevent Ginny throwing all the blame on him.

Well, much as I like Grettel's performance as Virginia, I don't see how a person who has attempted murder not as self defense, or even in defense of an innocent person, deserves respect or consideration for her privacy. As far as her Nanny goes, wasn't she Vero's Nanny too, or am I wrong about that? If so, how can Nanny stand by and watch Virginia manipulate what is not only her family but Vero's as well with lies and deception. When she decided no one will stand in her way, then for me all bets are off as far as what she gets as a result.
