That's alright Adrianna. We will somehow fill in today. Your great recaps of the past have earned you a day off. It won't be like your recap but we will muddle through.

About all I can add is that the same angel who brought Marteeen his leather jacket brought Mati back from the grave. She flat lined, and my heart sank. The doctors said "Aw shucks" and pulled her oxy mask off and covered her face. We see the telltale white light and Mati waving goodbye, THEN: Mati DOES NOTT like her face covered as she sleeps. She is breathing and the Docs who tried to save her are like " Whoa, kiss my tacos, she aint ded". And I breathed a sigh of relief.

Pablo has been studying with Marteen to become certified as a bona fied STALKER. Not really, but looks like it. Following her into church, hiding behind trees, FF, FF, FF.

Ms. Marianna, ever resourceful, decides to give Vsnake a taste of her own venom and rat her out concerning Dr. Dick and her fake heart condition. (How do you have a heart condition when you do NOT have a heart?) Ms. Marianna sends a certified letter to Vero explaining all this and miraculously the DHL delivery man finds Vero outside the emergency room at the HOSPITAL CEnTER. All except Salma Muy Impactada. Vero has been practicing her roundhouse Beyotch slap and slaps Vsnake into next week.

As word travels fast in the only Hospital in Mexico D.F. Dr. Dick is summarily fired for (I think) kissing patients. I didn't get all that.

Lots of other stuff which I don't remember. But it was worth watching just to see the above.
 

No worries, Adriana! Here's what I remember, in no particular order:

Mati is dead. She raises her hand in farewell from a cloud of white before setting out on the highway to heaven. But Vero's prayers are heard...

And Mati is alive! It's a miracle! And Virginia is sooooooo screwed.

Before leaving for Paris, Mariana carries out her promise. Her special delivery letter reaches Vero at the hospital. Vero now has confirmation that Virginia was indeed Demetrio's lover and was and continues to be Dr. F's squeeze. The best part of all: Mariana reveals that Dr. F and Virginia were faking the heart condition all along!

Vero is so furious that she slaps Virginia hard. [Do it again, Vero!] Vero passes the letter around and each member of the circle now has proof of Virginia's perfidy.

Jorge now puts his foot down. He demands that Virginia leave his house. Much to his exasperation, Salma continues to protect and defend Ginny. "You act as if she were really your daughter!" cries Jorge. "She is my daughter!" answers Salma. Oho!

Marty roughs up Dr. F a little (not nearly enough). Then a hospital administrator fires Dr. F. for his unprofessional and immoral whoopy-making with a patient. It isn't just Vero's word, the man tells him. Several nurses have seen him smooching Ginny.

Emi and Marty agree on a kind of truce. They will fight fair and square for ownership of the alpha female, i.e., Verónica.

Manuel prevails on the Old Goat to stay in Mexico City a little longer. He has a solution to their problems, a way that the OG can return to the Mina Escondida without shame. (We know his solution is to abort AP's baby.)

Julio manages to get the Old Goat's permission to take Ana Perla to church. Pablo follows them and gets into a scuffle with Julio. Ana Perla almost tells Pablo about the pregnancy, but maddeningly, does not. She continues to break Pablo's heart. Julio is growing bolder and more hopeful. Ana Perla is learning to walk on high-wedged city-girl shoes.

During her siesta, Claudia dreams of her Martincito. Pierre, with his newly-shorn baby face, hears her call out the name of his rival; and even worse, hears her say she loves him.

Ramón puts the moves on Nanciyaga. She is not amused.

Gaby brings Joaquín some quesadillas and tells him he'd be So Easy to Love. Meanwhile, Blanquita warns Raymunda that if she keeps putting the Old Goat ahead of her husband's needs, she may be putting her marriage in jeopardy.

Raymunda tells Blanquita that she must forget about nursing school. Blanquita isn't ready to accept defeat. She sneaks out of the apartment so she can check out one of the schools herself.

What have I forgotten?

Finally a letter that reaches its destination! And almost all of Virginia's secrets seem to have been revealed. What is there left? The baby story, maybe?

Wow, a lot of stuff was revealed in this episode. Salma is Ginny's mom. Ginny is a lying liar who lies in addition to being a hoorrrrr. (Sorry, Carlos, there is no way to sugarcoat these truths.The girl is bad.) Dr. F just got served. Didn't your mother caution you to maje good choices? Well, you haven't. Pierre knows that his squeeze loves another...and she talks in her sleep. Mati has returned from a brief trip to the great beyond. #science

Also, Manuel continues to be a dastardly dog, and hot Julio is hopeful..hubbahubba....yeah..no.. we all know that Pablo will end up with AP. Sorry, Julio, but take consolation in knowing that others find you verra fine.

Marty looks beaten up. Who knew Joven Emi had it in him? Emi just has that tiny bandaid at his eye .

When Mati flat lined last night, I was thinking that I had better prepare myself for a Friday sermon to us about the sin of privacy invasion and its consequences by

What is going on with the N in the hospital sign? The only thing that I can think of is that some LI scenes were shot before the sign got fixed and some scenes were shot after the N was put back on but the Televisa shooting schedule didn't necessarily correspond with the sign's fixing.

I liked Pierre better with the beard but no matter, Pierre and the claw are probably
finished.

I am in the Ana Perla and Pablo camp but I will have to admit that AP's indecisions
are getting hard to take. Wednesday night she found her backbone but as of Thursday
night she appears to have lost it. So very frustrating.

Right or wrong mama snake is going to stand by daughter snake. The truth be damned,
it doesn't matter.

I do have to give it to Ms. Valdez, she is doing a magnificent job playing the poor misunderstood victim. Carlos---I know that you are proud. I mean that if I can give the snake kudos, I know that you are as well.

Mongoose..yes..just so...My daddy used to build Mack trucks, and Marty certainly looks as though he was in the path of one rolling down the highway. Looking at Marty and Joven Emi, you would expect Emi to get the worse of that rumble. Marty looks like the alpha male, but I guess depression is killing his self confidence. #substandardgalan
 

Yeah right. Emi looks like he got cut shaving and Mongoose said that Martin looks like he got hit by a Mack truck.

I laugh every time that I see those two because the fight seemed pretty even to me and although both men got in a couple of good punches, the fight didn't last long. When it was finally stopped, both men were out of breath and looked like they were out of gas.

Then the makeup department went to work on Martin and the results made me laugh because they overdid it. I think that they wanted to make it look like Martin got beat up real bad (which he didn't) for not trusting and believing in Veronica.

Salma and her undying defence of Vsnake:

The Viperidae (vipers) are a family of venomous snakes found all over the world, except in Antarctica, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Madagascar, Hawaii, various other isolated islands, and north of the Arctic Circle. All have relatively long, hinged fangs that permit deep penetration and injection of venom. One was spotted briefly in Mina Escondida, Mexico, but was never seen again.

All vipers have a pair of relatively long (hollow) fangs that are used to inject venom from glands located towards the rear of the upper jaws, just behind the eyes. Each of the two fangs is at the front of the mouth on a short maxillary bone that can rotate back and forth. When not in use, the fangs fold back against the roof of the mouth and are enclosed in a membranous sheath. The left and right fangs can be rotated together or independently.

Compared to many other snakes, vipers often appear rather sluggish. Most are ovoviviparous, giving birth to live young, but a few lay eggs; the word "viper" is derived from Latin vivo = "I live" and pario = "I give birth"

The Mongoose prefers them well done with just salt and lemon pepper.

How wonderful Adriana..you get a day off (well, no, not really with guests arriving unexpectedly early) but then both Mongoose and NovelaMaven jump in to give us a summary full of laughs and wit.

Being a fan of the old standards,NM, I especially loved your sly shoutout to Makin Whoopee and So Easy to Love. Anyway I'll be singing "You'd be so nice to come home to, you'd be so nice by the fire"...all afternoon. I used to sing Makin' Whoopee while walking my daughter's babies round and round the house trying to get them to snooze. She found it inappropriate, but so far they both appear to have grown up to be quite normal.
 

Mongoose, thanks for the chilling info about vipers. I was afraid you were going to follow it up by "they often eat their young". I can just see Virginia doing that!

Looks like Salma is the only one of Virginia's side, i also though Maltide was not going to survive, but she awakes from the dead to destroy Ginny,well Vero has started already.

I'm glad the letter reached Veronica. I was afraid for a moment there that it wouldn't after Mariana foolishly told Daniel about it. Virginia has been unmasked and that slap in the hospital sure left everyone shocked at the hospital. It was funny how the letter made it's way through everyone.

So did Salma just reveal that she's Virgina's bio mom? or will she say that what she meant was that she sees Virginia as her daughter? Can't wait to find out.
 

Oh, and I'm glad that Mati survived as well. That was scary when she flat lined.

What was up with Claudia's erotic dream with Marty? Clean shaven Pierre was NOT amused by it. Will he dump her?

I loved it when Blanquita brought up the possibility of Joaquin finding someone else since Raymunda is always choosing her father over them.

I think Nanci told Ramon that she didn't like chubby guys. LOL

I also enjoyed reading all the Patio comments. I'm a little pressed for time right now, but just want to say that I loved Mariana at the airport on the phone with Dr. Dan. This is the first time I've really enjoyed her character.

Also loved Vero's slap of Ginny. She put everything into it. I'm sure her martial arts came in handy on that one. She generated a lot of Ch'i.

I know there are a lot of Julio fans out there, but his beating on Pablo really irritates me. Of course Ana Perla doesn't help the matter with her inability to say it like it is with Pablo.

The main thing about Marty is that his clothes are much cooler than Emi's. If they were Elvis impersonators, Marty would be the early Elvis and Emi would be working Las Vegas.

What a great week of very full episodes. The SS Viper is sinking fast and there doesn't seem to be much left to do for Ginny and Dr. D except fight over the last life vest and jump ship while choking each other. Those poor sharks awaiting in the water will get indigestion for sure.

I always figure the sheet over the face in a TN is like every fainting girl being a sign of pregnancy. I thought Mati for sure was a goner! But no did we actually see the sheet go over her face? That's my own headscratcher. Welcome Back Mati now start singing like a Canary before you have a relapse or something!

I'm so over the AP/OG Family! AP is flaky wuss, Grandpa is a Bullheaded Tyrant, Manuel is a Misogynistic Pig and Raymunda is not worthy of the Modern and Independent thinking Joaquin. Kudos to Blanquita and Polo for putting up with and not having left all these bozos behind a while back. They all need to go over Niagara Falls in a barrel. Good Riddance I say!

I think at one point Tio Jorge tells Ginny to stop crying/whinning? This was her first mistake ever to endear herself to anyone in that family. Except for some limited time pity, nobody likes a whiny baby who just turns on the waterworks whenever someone gives them side eye or calls them on their crap.
