Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse #45 Mon 10/26/15 (Mex 62-64) Gianna has Two Angels on her shoulder and Sergio a devil on his back!

Buona sera, Muchacha Patio Peeps!  Scenes have been combined and may not be in the order of broadcast.

Well.  We have to pick up where we left of on Friday but we'll make it quick!  Vitto pulls away from Fiorella's lips and is absolutely enchanted!  Oh, what a sweet kiss!  It's proof that she loves him!  Fiorella looks like she's waking up from a dental procedure, NOT the afterglow that Vitto seems to be in.  They proceed to their table where he continues carrying on about the kiss.  He stands and presents her to all the patrons of the restaurant as his beloved fiance and invites them all to applaud and buys every table a bottle of champagne.  Well somewhere along the way Fifi wanted to go to somewhere more peaceful after being put on blast in the restaurant so. . . .he takes her to his home.  He shows her some artwork and within minutes has decided to show her something more personal.  He takes her to his bedroom all alight with flower petals and candles.  Fiorella is really looking stunned now.  He thought it's what she meant by something more tranquil.  No.  She doesn't want to get to know him better.  She wants to go back to El Rancho.  Now.  In a cab.  He agrees to call one.

In the offices of La Dolce Vita, Diana presents Vitto with the results of her "investigation."  She hates to disillusion him because she knows how excited he is about the wedding but. . . .Fiorella swindled a guy in Italy!  Vitto has heard this charge before and is not impressed.

What happened with our other smoochee?  Gianna apologizes and they both agree it was a friendly kiss, afterall, he loves Fiorella, right?  Well, it shapes up to be a busy day for Gianna as well but it's not the kind of action she wants.  In case everyone missed Roxi in bitch mode, she ratchets it up to about an eight:  she attacks Gianna in her bedroom, accusing her of turning Benito and Gael against her.  She does her signature screeching and tears up Gianna's homework paper.  What really pissed Roxi was Gianna telling her that she is not like Roxi needing men to pursue and follow her adoringly and fall at her feet because women who need that are worthless!  Roxi storms out after ripping and stomping Gianna's papers.  Gianna jumps up, grabs a bottle of pills and throws a handful in her mouth and immediately collapses.

Gael finds her on the floor later and carries her to the SUV where they run into Benny.  Gigi insists she's better but Gael orders Benny to drive them to the hospital.  Once there the two openly listen in, and I do mean the actually open the door unseen by Gianna or Dr. Elisalde.  The hear the Dr. tell her that people in her condition rarely last a year.  She probably only has five or six months to live!  Bennie and Gael take Gianna home, fuss over her and with each other of the right to spoil her but end up deciding to work together to make Giana's last months the happiest of her life.  Unaware that they know the truth, she is amused at all their fussing.

In other action, at breakfast the Angeles family wonders where Sergio is when Pedro gets a call.  It is Sergio but he pretends there's a problem at work but in reality goes down to the jailhouse where Sergio has been arrested for arson and assault against Anibal!  Sergio tells Pedro he's being framed and Pedro believes him.  Pedro will talk to the family lawyer.

Disjointed scene somewhere in the dark where Anibal tells Julieta Sergio has been arrested on the charges descsribed above.

Suddenly we are Fifi's room.  She is whistfully wishing she could go back in time, that they could both go back and unmake promises, back to a time when things were simpler.  She finds out that instead of having gone for a walk with Aitana he was at the jail seeing about his Dad.  Fiorella gets excited and protests that it is impossible for Sergio to have burned Julieta's house as she was with both of them when they got the news.

After commercial we are hit over the head with the symbolism of Pedro and Fiorella looking through the bars on the windows of Fiorella's bedroom.  If she could make a wish, she would wish for them to always be this way.  Uh, not behind bars, but without a past, only the present.  They've said so many things and deceived each other in so many ways.  Ah, here comes that lover's request to "hush, don't talk anymore!"  Oh.  Something's about to go down.  They agree silence is golden and move in towards each other for a silent kiss. . . when the dang cell phone rings.  It's Sergio's Lawyer for Pedro.

Ok.  So once Pedro and Fifi decide that she will secretly go down to the Police Station to testify for Sergio they are apparently so overcome with relief at this plan that they turn back to each other.  Pedro wants Fifi to run away with him, to forget everything and everybody, just start a family away from everyone.  Is he serious?  Damn straight!  Yes!  Fifi wants to do it.  Awwww, it's just happy/crazy talk to fuel some kisses which they share with gusto.  They profess that they are each other's only true love!  These two people are really beautiful when they're happy.

A cloud flits across Fiorella's face as she asks about the baby with Sonia.  He tells her he never lied about whatever happened and he's not even sure it did happen.  But if the baby is his, he will take care of the consequences and he knows he can do it with her by his side.  Will he talk to Assvaldo?  No,  Sonia wants to wait for the results to come back.  Ah, sighs Fiorella.  It's always something:  Sonia, Aitana, Abuela, Vittorio.  Fate keeps getting in the way.  Pedro disagrees:  Fate depends on what THEY choose and they choose each other.  We are treated to profuse professions of love, kisses and passionate, almost desperate clutching as the lovers try to get closer and closer.

Would have been nice to end with that kiss but let's see how quickly I can wrap up this Sonia thing.  She tells Pedro she's going to see the Dr. to get results.  She and Assvaldo go and he gets results from the Dr. which say he is the Father.  It's very fleeting but unmistakable, a smile on his face as he tries out the sound of the words "I'm going to be a Father."  Sonia sighs and squeezes out a single tear.  Later in the day Fifi overhears Sonia and Belinda say that Osvaldo is the Father.  Fifi calls Pedro at work right away to tell him and he is overjoyed.  Aitana is there at El Corporativo and harshes his high on this bit of news.  He doesn't tell her that it is Fiorella, nor what she said.  He pretends he's talking to Eloisa.  Then his phone does ring and he happily leaves to take a call from his Lawyer.    That evening after Pedro has come home the shameless, bald faced liar, Sonia, presents Pedro with an envelope after he has told her he knows Assvaldo is the Father.  She says she gave Assvaldo fake results but THESE are the REAL results, done with the hair sample she gave him.  It shows with 99.9% certainty that he is the Father.  Jeezo-Pete!  Pedro!  I hope you see how G.D. flaky this is!

Freddie plays mind games with Dante.  He denies knowing anything about coma guy, Benicio Garrido, or his accident.  He claims his work was at the ranch and he only rarely went to El Corporativo.  Hmm.  Freddie knows that he did dirty work for Maximo and wonders if Benicio's coma is the result of a botched hit.  She outright asks him if he was ever given orders to kill anyone and we enter his greasy-haired little brain for a black and white flashback of young Dante throwing Gabriel Angeles down some cellar stairs.  Gabriel begs for his life even invoking the name of his daughter, Freddie.  Dante says he has to go through with it or HE will be killed.  A shot is fired!  We're back in the present where Freddie gets in Dante's face and promises she will never forgive him if she found out he had anything to do with her Father's death.  She punctuates this by pulling Dante's pony tail.  Yah.  I think the heffa is definitely capable of scalping him!

Now.  To Fiorella's offering what seems to be an air tight alibi for his whereabouts on the day of the arson.  Fiorella, Pedro and Julieta appear before the cop dude.  In true TN style, it's her word against his and the presence of Sergio's license is conclusive proof that he was involved.  He has to stay in jail.  As they leave the jail a reporter intercepts them and Eloisa and Dante catches the ambush interview.  The reporter asks was Sergio drunk when he did it; will this cause a decline in the value of Angeles  family stock; is he going to use his considerable influence to free Sergio?  Pedro hustles an irate Fiorella away from verbally fighting with the reporter.  Eloisa turns to Dante:  she is pissed that a servant knows more than she!

Pedro, Julieta and Fiorella stand before Eloisa who chews them out.  RPC but apparently they have fessed up about the ploy to use Fiorella as bait to entrap Anibal.  Eloisa spends most of her fire on Fiorella, even blaming her for the plan.  As far as Sergio's imprisonment, Eloisa rejects Fiorella's assertion that the scandal it might cause is the least concern.  Maybe in her neck of the woods that's the way things work! Pedro and Julieta vigorously defend Fiorella and take full responsibility for the Anibal trap and the testimony but Granny gets some good digs in, like Pedro needs to teach her Spanish and that she's meddling, docile and irresponsible.   Eloisa.  Don't tell me you don't realize there's a power differential between Fifi and EVERYBODY in your family!  Docile!  Oh.  Just bow, scrape and kiss Granny's grits.  Ok, gotcha.

Finally.  Poor Sergio languishes in prison.  Night has fallen, lights out and a cowardly jerk in a hoodie moves toward Sergio, starts a diversionary fight with another inmate and takes advantage of the confusion to stab Sergio who groans and falls to the floor with a sickening thud!  Oh, no!!!

Ciao, Peeps! Mille grazie a tutti! Thank you to everyone in advance. I have to be out of town for a couple of days so if I get to your comments, it will be late and sporadic if at all. But hey, this space is for y'all to talk about the show so have at it and I hope to check in tomorrow. If not! Mille, mille grazie, eh!

Thank you for the recap Lila. Good luck in your journey.
This was another 3 in 1 combined episode so surely there was too much stuff cut out.
For example some funny scenes of assvaldo, sonia, and belinda in the hospital before the dna result in which belinda tries to make assvaldo go away from the hospital. She even fakes a low in her sugar but assvaldo remains there jajaja.
A scene of assvaldo kissing alina outside her office almost being caught by gael who was in alinas office when assvaldo arrived.
Some scenes of the family having dinner in which grandma is deciding the name of sonia and assvaldos baby. She says that she wants to name him Maximo. Oh my Lord this old lady tires me. Sonia and assvaldo are not the best persons but it is their baby so let them decide grandma.
Some scene of aitana almost assaulted out the jail but saved by pietro. He followed him because helloisa told her to do it.
Some of roxana with benito in an antro.
Oh well the list is long.....

Mucho gracias Lila!! Fab recap and wish you safe travels!

Boy, you could tell this one was chopped and diced Marla. They didn't even try to put in sensible transitions.

Eloisa being all matriarchal and self-righteous was so much MEH! But with every outburst, Petey seems to be getting more and more disenchanted with his "dear" Abuelo. So there is that.

The whole "run away with me" is just tiring because we know something always mucks it up. The face grabbing and whatever with these two isn't really doing it for me anymore.

But our two sub-galans sort of killed it last night in their concern and heartbreak over Gia. That doc's prediction damn well better not happen. Might be cute to watch these two fall over themselves for her, but still want Gael to be her "love". Only issue is Roxy will be even more pissed, and those two better reign her in or lock her in a room for the next several months. Whatever works best. (I vote the room. )

Poor Sergio. I'm sure Eloisa will now have a fit he dare get stabbed in a jail. The scandal!!

Lila, my head was spinning trying unsuccessfully to make sense of this sliced and diced episode.

Yet, your summary was coherent, organized and infused with your signature wit and insight. You made sense out of chaos. Excellent recap. Thank you!

it's just happy/crazy talk to fuel some kisses which they share with gusto" and "Aitana harshes his high on this bit of news" were among my many favorites.

Marla, thanks for the info on what we missed.

I didn't get to watch every minute of this but Gianna took a large handful of pills. Did she throw them up or was her stomach pumped? It seemed she went from a near brush with death to smiling at the adulation of Benito and Gael (very lucky girl). What an amazing recovery!

"But our two sub-galans sort of killed it last night in their concern and heartbreak over Gia". Loved this daisy! I have to admit I'm on the fence - Gael is a dream but there's something about Benito...I refuse to believe they'd ever consider letting her character die.

Sonia certainly gets points for trying to cover her lying bases, doesn't she? I do like that Pedro was willing to take care of the child and Fiorella didn't leave him when he told her. She's left him for much, much lesser reasons than that.

Poor Sergio! I can't see them killing off the character but who knows? Wondering when Pedro will be told of the stabbing. This father and son never seem to get news of each other except after the situation has been resolved.

Lila, wishing you safe travels...thank you again!

Diana

Lila – thank you for the recap! Have a good trip, too!

This episode felt chopped, diced and spliced. Glad to see it confirmed here by our Patio Peeps.

WHY does Fi’s room have bars on the window? If this has already been discussed, I missed it.
THIS IS A MAJOR FIRE TRAP and it freaks me out every time I see it. If there was a fire blocking her bedroom door, she would have no way to escape. Yeah, I know they probably symbolize her situation but IT IS A FIRE TRAP! Rant over.

I think Benny & Gi liked their kiss. Maybe they’ll end up together? The camera seemed to linger a few seconds longer than necessary. Besides, Gael has way too many issues to overcome on top of Gi’s heart trouble, so I am starting to doubt G&G will become a couple.

I could just see the “QTH? Oh Noes!!!!!” thought bubble over Fi’s head when Vito brought her into his house with all those candles lit. Run, Fiorella, run!

Very nice smoochies scene with Fi & Pedro.

Diana - they never showed whether Gi’s stomach was pumped or of she barfed them up. It looked to me like she was having another episode coming on and she was frustrated and fed up and decided to take the whole bottle. Kids…..

Grazie tanto, Lila. Good work.

Other stuff missing is Diana telling Vittorio about someone in Italy accusing Fiorella of running out on a debt. She had searched him out and talked to him on the phone. I think it was the landlord who was cruel enough to press her for back rent at the graveside right after Mario was buried, then snatched all the cash she had left. I think he also hit on her at some point.

What's Italian for patan or pendejo?

BTW this series is great fodder for the next edition of Crimes of Fashion.

More later.

Hi doris.

Thank you!

I enjoyed and agreed with your entire comment. I think Gi and Ben have chemistry. She sizzles with both Ben and Gael for sure! I am leaning toward thinking Gi will end up with Ben. I really like the actor (and the character with a few minor incidents aside) so that's fine with me.

Yes, those bars on the windows are frightening...ALMOST as frightening as the seduction scene Vitto arranged. Talk about your skin crawling!

Diana

Love your work Lila. Thank you

"Jeezo-Pete! Pedro! I hope you see how G.D. flaky this is!"

Don't know nothin about acting but Livia Brito should slip her acting coach an extra 20. Swear, she got "look dumb" down to a science.

Petey - way away to the playhouse out back

Fio - slow means yes

Vitto - damn, I popped a Viagra at the restaurant

Detective - he traveled through a wormhole silly

Sonia - look here, check the VIN and the Odometer Disclosure Statement

Gianna - dying for attention

Eloisa - you all three are grounded

Dante - I'm going back to a mullet

Roxana's total disregard for the feelings of others must be hurting Joaquina big time. She must be furious with Helloisa and Maximo for allowing -- or even encouraging -- that to happen. Will she laugh or have a wake-up call when she finds out about Gia's prognosis?

I have to also believe that the ambush reporter outside the police station will be responsible for any issues about the company stock value because of that question. This makes me wonder about how corrupt the press might be in Mexico. Pedro should have just brushed past her. Fiorella was no help there but I chalk that up to naivete.

Helloisa, however, deserves major demerits for how she treated her when they got home. She was a total bitch to her by refusing to even allow Pedro or Julieta to explain what happened. Her son has been arrested for a crime he didn't commit, Fiorella is in a position to help, and Helloisa has the nerve to treat her this way. There will be hell to pay for that.

Lila, thank you for the recap. Here comes a rant: that nasty wrinkled old heffa, I don't even know why I ever thought I liked that......
Person. She talks to and about fifi like shes a
Dog, and why doesn't pietro defend her, since she is the love of his life? She is not a
Nice old lady. And since she has admitted
That she can make it so they never see each other again (fifi & pietro), who's to say she didn't authorize the hit on Gabriel? and what did she do to the young woman that maximo was in love with? I've asked these questions before. there are a lot of mysteries in this family we probably won't find until towards the end. It sure would be interesting to know all the hidden dark secrets of the old lady Eloisa.
Vitto, he's a pushy old dude, and hes lookin
Forward to some young Snooki. NOT!!!! I Do
Not see that happening between these two
People. Maybe him and diana, but not him &
Fiorella.
Did gigi even have a chance to put those pills in her mouth before she passed out? doesn't look like It. she put her hand to her mouth filled with pills, but then she passed out. The
Pills didn't make it in her mouth. Hopefully.
Thats why shes ok now, with only months to,
Live? Really? Noooooo, I don"t think so.
I will really be glad when the drama is over about who the baby daddy is. that is a very old and very tired part of a TN or soap opera,
like a filler to take up time before the next really good scene comes along.

Nina, that was my take too with Gia, that she dumped the pills but she was passed out just as she was going to put them in her mouth. She would have been far more loopy even with a pumped stomach if those had worked their way into her system in any way.

"Livia Brito should slip her acting coach an extra 20. Swear, she got "look dumb" down to a science." Oh, I just live for these tofie maxims.

But isn't it sad that they have made the heroine rather easy to push around and sometimes, you feel, not too bright? I didn't think we were starting that way and had hoped we would see some hidden talents and smarts that would slowly start working their way out as she got more confident in herself. Yeah, not happening.

So, if Petey wants to run away, how about he at least get a nice townhouse in town and just marry Fi and take her there. He could still help his Dad and do whatever. I'm sure Grammie MOnster will kick him out of the company, but he should have enough money and smarts to go out on his own. The whole hanging around the house I just don't get at this point if he makes excuses to stay there.

Daisynjay

Oooh Lila, you cracked me up with "Fiorella looks like she's waking up from a dental procedure". Oh yeah. Root canal for sure. At least randy ol' Vittorio had the grace to apologize for attempting to bed his virginal fiancee. Mercy. And yes, Tofie, the canny old optimist probably did pop a Viagra before heading home.

Loved Benito and Gael finally deciding to bond together to care for Gianna (who continues to be the most lovely of all). And enjoyed the passionate kisses and promises between Pedro and Fiorella...until he ruined it all by fudging and telling Aitana he was talking to his abuela. I hate wimpy galans who can't tell the truth. So very NOT SEXY.

Frankly, at this point, the much-maligned Benito is looking the best. Sure, he's got the young man's love-the-one-you're-with approach to Life, but I still like him.
His behavior is understandable for his age. Pedro's is not. As Cynderella said "Whadda wimp!"

But loved your recap of this chopped salad, Lila, and wishing you Traveling Mercies....

After seeing Vito's candle-mania, the earworm in my head was "Light My Fire" by the Doors. eeek.

"Vitto - damn, I popped a Viagra at the restaurant" --- LOL!

Hell-oisa dressing down Fiorella made no sense to a sane person. WHAT is that old bag afraid of? Because fear is what drives her attitude, snobbery and elitism. Fear that Fi might attain the same status? Or fear that Hell's own "rich-person" status is on shaky ground?

Has it been made clear to us in Viewerville that the LosAngeles are new money? For some reason I think they are; that Maximo and Hell-oisa created their fortune. Perhaps Hell-oisa doesn't want to be reminded of that from which she came? Get these kids married "well" instead of marrying someone of the same class and don't remind her of the bad old days?

That old bat drives me nuts.. I'm hoping for a big anvil for her. Okay ... rant over.

Oh and for you younger generation Patio kids, copy & paste --- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deB_u-to-IE
for that song.

Why IS pietro still living in that house? He's
Reminding me of "cristobel on sombra". He can't seem to cut the apron strings granny
Got wraped around his neck like leashed up dog. Man grow a pair and move out!!!
Do not like anibal, he should die. Next.

It has never been made clear whether the Angeles are old or new money or even how Mexico defines the distinction between the two. In the US they would be called "new money" because their money doesn't come from property rentals or banking. Also, it is probably true that Maximo was the one who created the company that made the family fortune, which would make them "New" money anyway.

Having said that, new money can try so hard to be accepted by the old that they are more paranoid about scandal.

Gracias, Lila. I did not enjoy watching this episode, but I'm glad I had the recap to read when it was over! Thank you for confirming that my brain is functioning properly and it's not me, it's this show!

Lila thanks so much for the great recap - I'm late reading, and late commenting but the appreciation is no less

"Awwww, it's just happy/crazy talk to fuel some kisses which they share with gusto."

If only they would run away together
We could still have a novella
It could still be dramatic
If only
sigh

Happy Rainy Wednesday! Lila, wonderful recap. I missed the episode but reading your recap is enough. A million thank yous. I think Hell-oisa is jealous of Fi. Why do I think that? A simple maid has captured the heart of not only Pedro, her boy lollipop, but her son and god daughter as well. Who is next? The girl seems to be involved with everything happening in the house, given her sense of superiority, it must be killing her. Her anger is irrational. She can't honestly say Fi is a bad influence on anybody. How is it possible not to throw up every time Vitto and love are mentioned in the same sentence? Ewwwwww, what a visual nightmare. No amount of wishing will make me forget who is in front of me. Every time he shows up I smell BenGay. Dear Lord forgive me, can't help myself. Rox is feeling irrelevant. Like the old lady, they have gotten used to being kowtowed to. sucks to be her. What she really needs is a sound slap to wake her up from her dilutions. What is Sonia's end game? she can't be that dumb. Wait, she did marry Assvaldo. Hmmmm
