Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse #46 Tue 10/27/15 (Mex 65) Much Boo Hoo about Nothing

If you haven't watched the episode yet, you can FF>> up to about 3 1/2 minutes in and avoid all the refrito.

New stuff starts with Pedro, Sonia, and the faked DNA results that so far, Pedro doesn't believe.  Until Sonia says Fi must have mis-heard.  And that's all it takes for Pedro.  Though, he doesn't care for Sonia's plan, to wait and tell Osvaldo the truth later.  The ass in question comes home and Belinda runs interference.  Meanwhile, Sonia keeps arguing and lets her very real pain over the loss of her last baby add a touch of authenticity to her pleas not to risk the life of this one.  As Os walks in and Pedro starts to spill the beans, Pedro gets the call...

Sergio got his "get out of jail free" card in the form of needing medical help.  At the hospital, a random doctor tells Pedro that he's in serious condition.  Pedro flips out.

Also in serious condition--the relationship between Anibal and his head Henchdude.  He doesn't like that Anibal isn't getting his partner-in-arson out of jail fast enough.

Os gives Eloisa and the rest of the family the news.  About Sergio, not the baby.  Julieta and Aitana head for the hospital with Gael.  Eloisa is staying home because she's overcome with emotion and not feeling well.  Belinda swigs from her flask and quips that bein' rich ain't easy.  Funny sentiment; bad timing.

Gianna fills Fi in on the kiss with Benito.  I don't think either of these two is qualified to have a conversation about whether either of them "loves" anyone.  Thankfully (for me) the conversation is interrupted by a phone call from Vitto.  He wants a meeting, but Fi begs off.  He's being coached by Diana not to give Fi any advance warning that he wants to ask about the landlord.  You know, the one she stiffed on rent money when she fled the country to go marry Vitto.  Simona comes running in to tell the girls about Sergio being in the hospital, so of course Fiorella goes running.

Eloisa is up in her room, Dante's giving her a pill, and Fed with her red hat shows up to be a pill.  She figures Sergio had it coming.  Eloisa doesn't think she'll survive the loss of Sergio.

Fi is running around looking for some piece of paper…with the hospital address?...so she can go "visit Sergio."  Benito tries to talk to her about Gianna's health, but she turns it into a conversation about Gianna having the hots for him and don't hurt her or some nonsense like that.

Belinda and Sonia are freaking out because Pedro and Os might talk.  O noes.  One point in Sonia's favor: she doesn't even care anymore if Pedro doesn't love her, as long as the baby gets a chance to actually be loved.

Gael has the medical update: they've stopped the bleeding and Sergio's going to be in observation.  Fi and Benito arrive and spy.

Roxi goes to Gi's room, "en son de paz" (with peaceful intentions), with chocolates and everything.  Gael told her about the visit to the hospital.  She's appalled at the size of the room Gi has to share with Fi.  She's convinced sharing the tiny room with Fi and wearing second-hand clothes is not helping with Gi's health.  This whole visit is going downhill as the two start arguing as usual.  Roxi takes back her chocolates and caps the whole disaster with "And I hope you die."  Well, at least that means things are back to normal?

Fi manages to sneak into a random room and snag Pedro as he walks by.  She pulls out the pom-poms and tells him he can do it!  But Pedro's not feeling it.  She switches tactics and tells him to cry here and act like a badass out there.  Pedro thinks he has nothing. Not even Fi.  Not even smoochies.  Since the room she dragged him into is the NURSERY! and one of the babies starts crying.  Wow.  The hospital has worse security than Rancho Los Angeles.  Speaking of babies…he saw the test results and he's the father of Sonia's baby.  And Os doesn't know yet.  Finally a nurse shows up and tells them to get out before she calls security.  In the hallway, Pedro swears Fi to secrecy and then runs off after the doctor.

Everyone hears the doctor announce the same damn thing Gael did, only with more fanfare.  Julieta calls Eloisa, who sobs in relief…and then pulls herself together and asks if there are any reporters there.  Fed gloats to Dante that Eloisa is back to her usual self.  Though, once Dante and Fed take their leave, Eloisa resumes crying.  Out in the hallway, Fed complains about Dante ordering tea instead of just giving her an overdose of sedatives.  Dante reminds her that if Eloisa dies, then the executor (Pedro?) will be splitting up the estate and she can kiss all her plans goodbye.  He tells her to suck it up and stick to the plan.  Despite the hat, Fed is actually sick of playing detective.  Drunk!Belinda comes up to them in the hallway and Fed babbles about the warnings of the cards.  Belinda tells her to watch her back--the cards might be wrong, but fate won't be.

Fi and Benito are back in the employee's kitchen.  Even Benito wants her to ditch Vitto and run off with Pedro.  So, ok, she doesn't think she and Pedro have a snowball's chance in Arizona, she STILL doesn't have to marry Vitto!  Gi comes to tattle on Rox.  Which, yeah, it was mean, but come on Gi--just snatch her bald or take scissors to her entire wardrobe or something.  Even Fi tells her it's been a long day and they all need to drop this petty crap.  Fi will give Rox a proper telling-off tomorrow.  After she meets with Vitto.  Benito hopes Vitto wants an advance divorce.  From your lips, Bennie.

Everyone is home from the hospital.  Julieta's sure Anibal paid someone to attack Sergio, and for some reason, Pedro tells them to all go rest.  Maybe he just didn't feel like listening to Julieta and Aitana hypothesize.  Aitana is going home, but she pouts about not liking to spend even a second away from Pedro and, hey, maybe they should work together! Oh, hell, no, Pedro…even you can't be that stupid.  As Aitana leaves, Sonia walks in.  Poor guy can't catch a break.  She (fake) agrees to tell Osvaldo.  But not now.  In the morning, first thing.  In the stables, not the house.  Oh, hell, no, Pedro…you are that stupid.

The next day, in the driveway, Benito chastises Rox for telling Gianna she hopes she dies…because she really is going to die.  So quit screwing up what's left of her life. He doesn't know how long she has, but she won't make it another year.  Gianna and Gael arrive and Gi demands to know where the hell he's getting that from!  He and Gael admit they completely violated her confidentiality at the hospital.  Smooth move, dudes.

To cheer Eloisa up at breakfast, Osvaldo talks to her about motorized baby strollers.  Eloisa can't wait to decorate a room for the baby.  Her mood is ruined by the arrival of Sonia and Belinda.  Os is already being his usual caveman self and saying he's going to micromanage Sonia's diet.  Fed picks this moment to drop "Vinicio Garrido" into the convo…just to see Eloisa's reaction.

Gael and Benito try to make excuses for themselves.  Gi says yeah, she'll die IF SHE DOESN'T TAKE HER MEDICINE…which, of course, she's taking.  Everyone buys this, including Rox, who decides since Gi's not dying, she can start the world's most boring fight with her.  Seriously, there's a total lack of any heat on either side, and they're separated easily enough.  Gianna's sick of Angeleses and she's taking a frickin' taxi to school!  Rox will be in the car…and bring her bag!  Gael and Benito can finally agree on one thing…they're a couple of idiots.  To be clear, they mean themselves, though I'm not letting Ms. Poster Child for Spoiled and Ms. Oh Just Let Me Die Already off the hook.

The breakfast table is empty, except for Eloisa and Fed.  Eloisa recognizes the name and she's not surprised to hear that he's receiving a pension.  He was a valued employee who had an accident and is now in a coma.  If Maximo never mentioned him it was because he didn't like to talk about work at the house.

Fi visits Pedro in the office before she goes to meet Vitto.  Pedro says he wishes the baby was hers.  I'm distracted by them talking about their imaginary baby and their imaginary parenting skills because the office door is open and I can't get over how stupid this is!  Yeah, I'm sure the baby would be loved and all, but considering these two can barely manage to lock lips on a regular basis, I'm not sure how they expect to have one in the first place.  One teary smooch and the episode is over, the romance-tragedy-mystery-horror to be continued tomorrow.

Thank you Diva for the recap. Oh those scenes of fiorella and pedro talking about babies were very sweet but I hate that Pietro thinks that he is the father of sonias baby. Oh poor guy he feels so guilty of betraying Assvaldo. Have you all notice that since sonia made him think they had sex he hasnt scream to assvaldo like he use to do?

I am glad that Assvaldo is the father of sonias baby. Is good to see him laughing and talking of his baby with such an illusion but it seems that he has an obssesive way of taking care of a pregnancy. He has a panic of losing another baby

Gracias, Marla. Don't ask my why I'm willing to give Sonia the benefit of the doubt about wanting what's best for the baby, but not Os. I think he's just a control freak and now he has an additional excuse. I'm dreading it, but I totally expect him to use the loss of the last baby as his excuse for why he "has" to control everything this time around.

Ok Diva I agree with you, in some way I understand Sonia. Indeed I dont think Assvaldo would be the best father if he is a bad brother and husband. And maybe he could see the baby as his economic resource, you know the first great granchild of helloisa that she desires so much, oh the heir of maximos will. By the way there was a scene in mondays 3 in one episode that was cut out in which sonia and belinda were talking in the hospitals cafeteria and assvaldo comes and takes out sonias coffee because he says that it can harm the baby. And then he remembers her the loss of their first baby and tells her he doesnt want to lose another baby.

Gracias, Kat. At least I didn't miss anything; this was #65.

Sonia is still a bitch for telling Pedro the baby is his. She will never have his heart any more than Aitana will. I don't see how she benefits from this because it's Helloisa's favor that matters at the moment.

BTW, the question of old money vs new can be settled this way:

1, If this family were old money they wouldn't be arguing this issue. Sonia's baby is Assvaldo's on the basis of Presumptive Paternity y punto. If it has Pedro's DNA it's still an Angeles. They would pretend to the world that the baby is Assvaldo's and hope it's a girl so it won't inherit the bulk of the estate if there's a brother later (who presumably would be Assvaldo's).

2. That they are new money will be evident when I publish the next edition of Crimes of Fashion.

More later.

Funny all Kat, thank you, peevish perseverance bears fine reading.

"I don't think either of these two is qualified to have a conversation about whether either of them "loves" anyone"

Me, that was the weirdest, some other girl's having my baby, conversation I've ever witnessed. First, to find themselves in a room with no windows, grow lights and a crop of new babies. Then Petey pitches, she's having my baby, too bad I didn't poke you first it would have been wonderful and Fio reciprocates the delusion. That baby crop must be some potent shit.

Kat, the hardest decision I've made today was paring down my list of favorites: "Belinda swigs from her flask and quips that bein' rich ain't easy", "I don't think either of these two is qualified to have a conversation about whether either of them "loves" anyone" and "Dante's giving her a pill, and Fed with her red hat shows up to be a pill" were amazing.

This showcased your writing talents splendidly.

"Ms. Poster Child for Spoiled and Ms. Oh Just Let Me Die Already off the hook" made me laugh out loud.

I agree with you tofie, the nursery scene was so strange, the setting, the convo. There appears to be much regret about perceived losses of a child (Fi and Pedro) and the actual loss (Sonia).

Kat, I think Sonia will be redeemable. And while "miracles" do happen in TN's, I see Assvaldo way out of the range at the present. If he does harbor true feelings for the child and its welfare, even his "caring" ways are abrupt and nasty. Perhaps there is a heart buried beneath the anger, but I've yet to see it.

Is there much difference between the usual nasty Roxi vs. nice Roxi? She is so tightly wound, it's hard to discern the difference.

I am behind Diana in trying to break Vitto and Fi up. But Vitto does know Fi had no money and was in dire circumstances. Why does he even care about the skeevy landlord?

So glad Sergio will survive.

Thanks Kat!

Diana

Vitto is looking for any leverage to coerce Fio to marry his crusty ass so he can bed her. He paid for his eM order bride and expects delivery. Delusional no, shameless yes. Diana really is a woman without any prospects to want him.

I don't think Sonia should be redeemed. A bad decision or two and a lost child is not where she stopped and simply because Asshat is so bad does not excuse what she's doing to Petey. Divorce Osvaldo already. She cheated with one and tricked another and gets a pass as she gets to shop for the best daddy using lies and false documentation? Heck no and simply losing one child and pregnant with another does not guarantee she is mother material. Speaking of parents, they aren't well represented in this show!

tofie, I think the one exception is Benito's parents. Loving and kind, they epitomize what a happy marriage should be.

Diana

I agree about Sonia. The one way she could redeem herself is to divorce Assvaldo, but she is the arribista she accuses Fiorella of being. Real narcissistic projection at work. However, her pregnancy would now get in the way of this hypothetical divorce.

Assvaldo doesn't deserve redemption either. If he didn't want to marry the pregnant Sonia (if that's how it played) he didn't have to. He keeps threatening to kill people who offend his sense of his own manhood or competence. He tried to kill Pedro once already. No redemption for him.

As for Vittorio, he is delusional. He refuses to see that he deceived Fiorella with an old photo and refuses to understand that she might want someone more age-appropriate. He should take a photo of her, estimate her measurements, and send the info and a checque to that guy in California who makes life-like sex dolls.

" He should take a photo of her, estimate her measurements, and send the info and a checque to that guy in California who makes life-like sex dolls"

How true and that doll would respond more than Fio ever will to him.

Diva - thank you for the recap. I love the title! LOL

I hope to watch this one later today.

Wouldn't it be freaky but nice if somehow, some way, Rox and Gi end up as BFFs? I know ... dream on...

Wow Kat. You made a tiresome episode actually interesting, and funny, to read about. Thanks! I am starting to find myself tuning out certain people and scenes, so greatly appreciate the update.

I'm especially starting to find myself tuning out FiFi and Petey. Lord, it's all so much same old and for cripes sake, if you're going to kiss, then do it. What was with that guppy kiss at the end?

And if Petey is so in love, why does he continue to smile and let She of the Fried Hair hang all over and him and mack his face? So he doesn't have to reveal he's all in with Fi, but he can put a stop to that. That burns me to watch. Wuss.

I still sort of like seeing Gael and Gia together, but someone just muzzle Roxy.

Eloisa crying...boo hoo is right.

Daisynjay

LaDiva, this was a good recap, but the whole episode was a bit.......eh. between the comic
Relief of the bennie, gael and gi & roxi show,
And fifi & pietro trying to get a kiss in the baby Nursery of all places, well it could have
Been better. But who we talkin about here?
Some of these people can't even see to pee straight Let alone figure how not to screw up there Lives. I know alot of this stuff is for affect but Good golly can't the writers put in a little bit Of good since thinking, at least for the head Galan, who really needs some smarts about Now. But ya know I like that hes telling fifi Personal stuff hes not tellin the hairy one. He Really loves fiorella. I love that she told him,
" with me you cry let it all out, but out there you Hold together for them". now she didn't exactly use all of those words but I get what she was talking about, the girl loves the man.
That is how you support your man when he's in a kind of leadership position that he's in. I cannot see the hairy one supporting him like that. Fiorella is of a pure heart, the hairy one isn't. And his sweet loving black hearted grandmother wants him to get hooked up with that heffa. Now she'd be really good for assvaldo they'd probably end up killing each other. Poor sonia, those lies are going to catch up with her and her crazy husband will probably be abusive physically he already raped her. Sick bastard. I really would like to know what happened to their parents.
Vittorio is just really tiresome. Diana should
Kidnap him to vegas and marry him. and be sure and have a lot of cialis and viagra on hand.

Nina, you crack me up with the Diana hijack Vitto idea! You would think he would go for the sure thing as his days are numbered as it is, but no, His High Creepiness wants the young innocent he can deflower and begat with child. Feel like I'm back in the medieval ages watching that idiot.

I would want to feel sorry for Sonia about wanting "love" for the baby is I can't help but feel by being in such cahoots with her mother, and the fact she could have just booked it before, she's all about the money and wanting the lifestyle.

Daisynjay

Oh Nina I agree with you on your comment of Aitana and Assvaldo. Oh what a match that would be, the perfect couple. Oh wait a minute, isnt aitana friend of alina? Ok, I dont think assvaldo would care destroying their friendship and besides he always has desired to have everything that belongs to pietro. So why not?

And your idea of Diana kidnapping Vegestorio oops Vittorio is wonderful. Oh but he would need too much viagra.

Sonia might be another Ann Grenville, but she hasn't fully adapted to the rules. However, while Assvaldo is a Junior he hasn't learned to behave like a gentleman.

If these people were Old Money Roxana would have been sent to a strict boarding school and a European finishing school. My father actually wanted to send me to the latter. Who knows what could have come of that?

I would totally back Diana in her quest for Vittorio's fortune. I doubt that she loves him to the degree she says she does but she probably thinks that a few years of marriage to him is a fair exchange for inheriting La Dolce Vita, his house, and his fortune.

Thanks, Urban. How Sonia benefits from telling Pedro the baby is his? I'm not sure she cares about benefits beyond not dying and not having Osvaldo raise the baby.

Thanks, tofie! I'm cracking up at "grow lights"...yeah, the baby fumes must have gotten to them :)

Thank you, Diana! Nice!Roxi struck me as being just as mean as Nasty!Roxi and being on the verge of "helping" her new BFF Gianna by taking over her entire life, so...I'm not sure there's much of a difference.

I don't see why Sonia has to be redeemed. Just because I happen to believe that her pain over one child and her hopes for the other are real doesn't mean she's not a horrible person overall. She's just not horrible about every single thing 24/7.

Thanks, doris! As much as they can't stand each other, I still have that feeling that the show's going to push the two of them together. If it means a reduction in Roxi's screeching, I'm all for it, and Roxi could probably use an actual friend, but with friends like Roxi....

Gracias, Daisynjay! Yes, a muzzle for Roxy! That would be great! Or a case of chronic laryngitis!

Gracias, Nina! If Diana wants Vitto, she can have him!

I watched my recording (not sure if that is a "yay" or a "boo"- LOL) but I've soldiered on and done my duty.

Other parts of the country might get different commercials, but this one during last night's episode made me laugh --- (copy & paste)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oFqjIIrxmE
because THIS might be the perfect fix for Roxi, Federico, Hell-oisa and Sonia and get them all in better moods!

I'm am so tired of box face, thirsty, I'm a grown woman and I'm hiding a baby as if I'm a 15 year old Diana. Honestly, no one wants that old dragon. She's so jealous of Fi. Fi should call it off with him and live her life. Leave those 2 senior citizens together. She probably doesn't even love Vitto, just wants that Dolce Vita money. Smh. Que pena!

Yes, doris, I get that Snickers commercial too! Roxi, Fed, and Sonia, I could see eating a Snickers. Eloisa would have to be offered a chocolate, peanut, and caramel bon-bon on a plate, with a doily...and hide the wrapper!

Congrats on another great recap Diva

I really liked
"Eloisa is up in her room, Dante's giving her a pill, and Fed with her red hat shows up to be a pill."
